I like the drama the “someone has to stay” great glacier arc brings but man it’s very distracting how they never even address anyone you may have recruited to paradise after the fact
#like i always assumed the first five were the founders and thats what happi meant and anyone else is just a part timer#but thats not what the game actually says. in fact quagsires explanation makes it seem like anyone who joins is an equal member#so its a case of gameplay/story distinction which isnt terrible but it bugs me#i know its so companion mode can work in case you havent recruited anyone else after the first five#but its so easy to recruit members that i think only a small amount of players would have had that much issue#and its even more distracting when pmd2 has a similar problem with the expedition arc#and they DO clarify about pokemon youve recruited by saying theyre not guild trainees#again i think i said this but i think ill clarify in my pmdverse that most recruits are pokemon that need a home#and theyre not officially on the rescue team itself#oh but then what about my idea where kiran and eris are actually the HAPPI founders…..#ok if i go with that i might just axe this plot djfdjjd. yeah they could just hold down the fort#but there isnt the defeated obligation the actual plot has#maybe emolga gets injured and thats why he cant go… or wait maybe the pokemon feel unsafe?#like knowing all of their founders are going to be gone for several weeks#and yknow that probably makes sense too. cause the alternatives are quagsire scraggy victini and gurdurr#and two of those are former outlaws who are still very crass- one is called the punisher- and the other is just the weather guy#echoed voice#pmd posting

We have officially breached containment from the greater tf fandom into the Tumblr ecosystem outside it. I feel a degree of explanation is warranted so the non robot obsessed crowd can understand the chaos happening here.
So Transformers as a franchise likes to reboot itself a lot. To the point where it's not really assumed that two different shows exist in the same continuity unless it's explicitly stated, most only tangentially related by a multiverse that we only take half-seriously. There was, however, a chunk of time from roughly 2010 to 2016 that hasbro attempted (and largely failed) to make a bunch of media that was supposed to be in the same universe, in (roughly) the same timeline. Most of the time it was pretty shaky and the only throughline was similar story beats about how the civil war that rendered Cybertron uninhabitable went down.
The exception, however, was the link between the shows Prime and Rescue Bots. The two shows ran around the same time and events in one show made tangible impacts on the other. Characters from Prime would show up in Rescue Bots for special episodes as well (though we never got the other way around, which I will never stop being mad about). Their interconnected nature is honestly unprecedented for tf shows that aren't direct sequels. The funny thing, though is the wild difference in vibes.
Prime was intended for their more mature audience. Heavily detailed 3d animation with complex, angular mech designs, a darker tone than most tf series, heavy casualties and more robo-gore than your average episode of samurai jack. (Also a lot of robot designs that both fans and Hasbro employees alike consider CRIMINALLY sexy).
And then there was Rescue Bots. With the youngest target audience of any tf show, and an animation budget of like $35 and half a turkey sandwich (but a writing team that refuses to stop being funny, characters that have me in a chokehold, an ost that does NOT need to go that hard, and an unnecessarily banger voice cast that includes tim curry for some reason. No I WONT stop shilling for this show.)
Rescue Bots, being geared towards a younger crowd, was allowed to play in a much sillier space than Prime was, emphasizing wild technology and it's fantastical applications (and, more often than not, how it can go so very wrong when safety precautions are ignored), but also occasionally delving into outright fantasy (hence the ghosts and the fairies).
So there exists a whole coherent timeline between these two shows where the Decepticons are having their Edgy and Serious political drama where everyone's trying to grab power, the Autobots are struggling just to keep their faction alive and keep the human kids they've adopted as their own safe, and then at the exact same time on Bumfuck Nowhere Island, Maine, there's a little group of four autobots Optimus is keeping very very far away from the war because Megatron would fold these goobers like lawn chairs at a barbecue, and theyre playing monopoly with the human family that adopted them before the next terrible accident at the explosion factory.
Also, just so you can see how the crossovers are handled.
Here's Optimus in Prime
And here's what's supposed to be the same version of this dude in Rescue Bots.
This guy will be in one episode of Prime, somberly contemplating the future of Earth, wondering how he could have done things differently and how less people could've gotten hurt, spend an episode of rescue bots having a wonderful little cave adventure and actually having fun for once, and then come back home in another episode of Prime only to get stabbed.
Also in one crossover episode he got a third mode as a T-Rex but his brain wasn't really meant to handle organic instincts, so he temporarily went feral and almost ate a guy alive. This was never addressed in Prime.
The vibes are insane and I would simply not have it any other way.
Things that canonically exist in the same world as transformers prime because they also exist in rescue bots:
-fairies
-ghosts
-time travel
-still-living dinosaurs
-optimus's third mode, the fucking t-rex
-a machine that cheats death and reverses the aging process
-skyrim, if blades making the arrow to the knee joke is to be taken at face value.
-mass displacement tech the way the fandom's been portraying it for ages
-the exact same altmode-locking paralytic virus from beast machines
-full-on mind control, effective on both humans and bots
-lycanthropy inducing fake meat
-a hal-9000-esque rogue AI intent on turning the world comatose to keep humanity maximally safe
-freaky Friday mind swapping
-time loops
-machine that forces you to sing in full musical numbers
-Allspark day, which is basically cybertronian new years day
We need to start subjecting the prime bots to the weirdass facets of their world.
#i will never stop pspspsing at prime fans to watch rescue bots if only for the bonus content of the tfp characters#are you not entertained?

Prologue, part 1
BREAKING NEWS Miracle Heroes Save Town from Unexpected Catastrophe August 19, 1989
Today, our city experienced an event like no other—a giant, mutated squid attacked the city, shocking the people and sending the town into chaos. The squid seemed bent on attacking the people, who all tried to escape as it wrecked buildings and crawled its way through the streets, separating families.
It seemed like it would be an impossible thing to defeat, as no human had ever encountered such a beast. However, today, a miracle occurred. While everyone in the town was running for their lives, five brave souls came to the town’s rescue.
Being on the scene myself, I was stunned as I watched these five heroes come together with unique abilities I’d never seen before. I documented everything I could from the battle in hopes of sharing just how unique and incredible of an experience it was: The five heroes seemed to show no fear against the gigantic squid as it shrieked and threw its tentacles around at them. I watched a tall, green-skinned creature run circles around the squid at an unnaturally fast speed—I could hardly see them at all. This frustrated the squid, causing it to continue letting out horrible shrieks as it tried to keep up with him. Another one of the heroes, a rather muscular hero, used what appeared to be super strength to grab onto the squid’s tentacles and hold them down, making it harder for the squid to attack the heroes and cause even more destruction to the city.
Meanwhile, another hero, a red-head with scruffy hair, appeared to use a deep red liquid to blind the squid, making it all the more difficult. The final two heroes, who appeared to be twin heroes, as they were wearing the same deep blue costumes and had the same dark, curly hair, seemed to be levitating objects at their command. At first, they were levitating chunks of buildings to help hold down the squid’s legs, but once the squid was subdued, they switched to using a long strand of wire from a telephone pole nearby to tie the squid, making it impossible for the squid to attack at all and ultimately defeating it.
The people of the city were absolutely shocked. Nearby, I could see mothers with their children, the mothers looking incredibly worried as they tried to comfort their babies, but the young children looked something even more than inspired. Superheroes, as I had always thought, were supposed to be stories for children of that age, but now, I’m learning that they’re more than that. With whatever that monstrosity that attacked our city today was supposed to be, I’ve learned that superheroes are indeed very real, and I’m sure this won’t be the last we’ll see of them. I feel honored to have caught one of the heroes in the blue suits. He informed me that his name is Justice, and his teammates include Hemo-girl the blood manipulator, Atlas-man the strong, his twin who shared his ability, Clarity, and Vrain, an alien creature with inhuman speed. According to Justice, this group of heroes will not be leaving us anytime soon. Together, the five heroes make up the Meteor brigade, and theyre here to protect our city.
BREAKING NEWS Anniversary of the Meteor Brigade’s Formation August 19, 1990
Today marks the anniversary of the Meteor Brigade’s first rescue of our city and their continued work to keep our city out of harm’s way. Just today, I watched from the sidelines as they fought a mutant pigeon. I watched its huge wings batter as the Meteor Brigade worked flawlessly to contain it. Vrain worked to get innocent civilians out of risk, saving kids that had ventured curiously towards the team of heroes and other people who could not save themselves.
Meanwhile, the rest of the heroes worked together with smiles on their faces and laughing gleefully as they easily subdued the pigeon, eventually causing it to be lying on the ground with its wings around itself while the five team members stood in front of it, looking triumphant. Over the past year, the team of heroes has been idolized, with many people of all ages showing their support for them through posters and parades and other events. Recently, a mural was completed on one of the walls of the city buildings. It is a mural of the Meteor Brigade with all five members looking upward. Behind them is a background that looks like outer space, and above their heads written in fluid cursive, it says “Thank you Meteor Brigade!” with a heart afterwards.
Though the Meteor Brigade was at first hesitant to say much in public, they have grown since then, with some of the heroes even coming to school to proclaim how anyone can be a hero, even if they’re not a superhero like the ones from the Meteor Brigade. I myself attended one of these conferences, which Justice, the leader of the group, was speaking at, to hear the words for myself, and I found them to be quite endearing and well-chosen.
I could see kids’ eyes were wide at the sight of one of the Meteor Brigade superheroes speaking to them, and afterward, it took all of the teachers’ efforts to keep them from swarming the poor hero. It has become quite clear that we are very lucky as a people to have the Meteor Brigade among us. Without them, we would be practically defenseless against the horrifying beasts that have come to plague the world.
It was announced recently that research is being done on the mutated creatures to find out why they keep coming to existence and attacking the town, but nothing has been found just yet. While we wait to find out more about the horrifying creatures, we should all give our huge thanks to the Meteor Brigade for one whole year of repeated rescuing of our city and saving of lives. It was a miracle that they came to us on this day one year ago, and it is a miracle that we still have them now. Thank you, Meteor Brigade, for being so brave and saving all of us from unimaginable destruction. We couldn’t possibly thank you enough for your contributions to the protection of our town, but we can try our very best. Come attend the Meteor Brigade anniversary parade on Main Street this Friday! Admission is free!
BREAKING NEWS Meteor Brigade Named Public Heroes, Ceremony this Saturday May 7, 1991
After once again saving our town from another mutant creature—this time a mutant pig—the Meteor Brigade is finally receiving an honor they more than deserve. Just a few hours after the large animal was subdued, the mayor held a conference that was aired on the local news station where he declared that the Meteor Brigade has done more for our city than anyone has ever done for perhaps any city in the world, and he named the five Public Heroes, a declaration that was met with much applause and cheering from his audience.
The mayor addressed the last two years of the team’s rescues with a smile on his face and gratitude in his tone, saying that the five were all blessings from a higher power, and even if we don’t know much about the mutant creatures, we are lucky to have the Meteor Brigade and their unique abilities to keep us safe from them.
According to recent research, it has been found that the mutant creatures appear to be normal animals with altered DNA, but so far, no one has found out how these creatures’ DNA have been becoming altered. There are theories that include a secret mastermind capturing animals, experimenting with them, and releasing them, and even theories about the mutant creatures being alien lifeforms, but no proof of these theories has been found just yet. I tried to ask Clarity what she thought of this theory when I came across her earlier today, and all she had to tell me was that it could be a possibility, but she and the rest of the team are unsure and need some time to do their own research.
I asked her if she thought that they would eventually have an answer for why the mutant creatures were rising, and she told me that there must be an answer out there somewhere, and the Meteor Brigade was determined to find it for the good of humanity. Hopefully, with the combined efforts of scientists and the team of heroes, we can have an answer for this mysterious phenomenon that has been wreaking havoc to the city. Even with the looming though that someone could be causing such massive destruction on purpose, it is time to take a brief break from chaos to celebrate. As the conference was too soon after the Meteor Brigade’s most recent rescue, they could not attend, but they have been invited by the mayor to come to a celebration on Saturday to officially receive a token of thanks from him. The ceremony will be at the local park, and there is a $5 per person admission fee.
There will be food, art, rides, and most importantly, the Meteor Brigade themselves. It is unknown if the Meteor Brigade will be allowed around the general public due to their status as celebrities in the city, but they will all be able to be seen walking onstage to receive their honors from the mayor. Don’t miss this big event! Come to the ceremony to give the Meteor Brigade the thanks and honor they deserve—it will be a spectacle to behold, just like everything else the superhero team does.

iI don't really follow you for friada just see what you put up and i am curious you have a lot of verses that you do drabbles in can you explain them it's kind of confusing because i don't follow the ship maybe
okay so there’s a lot(tm) and all of these are honestly like the fault of @pizza-is-my-buziness and @ophvelias and @gaysyjohnson (and sometimes even @holdendadcliffe) for encouraging me with the softer ones.
and basically the moral here is if you becomes friends with me and ship fraida i will shout hcs at you until we create au verses
according to my twitter thread of fraida verse aesthetics i have 17 total but not all make it over to here/are a real thing (looking at you daddy kink alistair verse) but here are the 5 main important ones
framework verse
aka the four best episodes of aos ever, basically its canon verse and us getting to write backstories for the characters and scenes that never made it into the canon, basically its canon verse. they kill inhumans, they rule hydra, they have “steamy” and “sweaty” sex - to quote iain, and everything is evil and awesome
some variations of end up including sad baby au which is canon compliant and literally everything is the same except she was pregnant in the framework and things got sad (i cant look at the scene where he kisses her hand without crying and this is why) (also inhuman baby au but it will get its own tag/section)
hydra summer camp which is the catch all for talking about the backstory where we have john garrett training fitz ala grant ward (but since vic got ward john grabs fitz)
best quote from this will always be “hail hydra holy fuck”
and dark fitz au because the framework wasnt dark enough lets make fw fitz extra, dark and evil (if youre into that i wrote a full fic in this verse, permission to just be the man you are)
basically framework is canon and sin and its great i love it
then we have
beach house verse
perhaps the most important all of the verses, i originally wrote this fic and it turned into a full domestic verse
basically for people that dont want the fic for context, during that scene in the finale when he’s like “i’ll go with you if you leave the team alone” he does, and is unsure why he did at first ? to protect them ? to protect her ? he doesnt know
he figures it out very slowly, this is the slow build verse. this is two broken people trying to figure themselves out and existing in the same space which is the beach house
do you like domestic scenes ? do you like angst ? do you want a combination of the two? then beach house verse is for you
an alternative ophelia survives the end of the season verse comes in the form of
team au
for this one we stop right after they rescue mack, things are rocky but ophelia was so happy to help and inside the pod fitz realizes that he has memories of loving two different people from two different lives and he needs to take a break from both of them to figure this out - he says all of this gently not to freak out he superhuman that just gained emotions
everyone lives and is happy
well not happy the rest of the team is like ?? why is she here ?? jemma wont stop calling her aida ?? someone suggests she has to sleep in a containment pod for the teams safety ?? she keeps insisting that she was meant to help people and that is this is what it takes ?? fitz still has fw memories and is conflicted af
its a mess with a bit of angst
but it eventually sorts itself out
kinda
anyways we usually hand wave over the angst and get right to the team bonding. do you want to imagine ophelia using her powers to practice sparring with elena? do you want to imagine bobbi and hunter came back to the team and hunter is in awe that fitz has game? do you want generic mission fic or hand jobs in a waffle house parking lot? then boy - do i have the verse for you
i mentioned this before but skipped over it so let me back things up to
inhuman baby au
so back in the framework everything is awesome and fine and daisy and jemma never come into it idk everyone just lives in the framework always now
and so this is like sad baby au but since daisy doesnt toss anyone out a window it gets to be happy baby au or for a bit until fitz keeps having nightmares and is like ?? let me just double check my daughters not an inhuman - oh fuck
she is
he keeps it hidden and deals with his inhumans are monsters issue and doesnt tell ophelia and looks after their daughter until a terrigen bomb gets set off at a hydra elementary school and his daughter is shown to the world to be an inhuman (she gets taken off the the resistance and chills with the wards and its all kinda messy and stuff)
the best part is though she needs a new name now that shes with the resistance so they name her “margret” after peggy carter and fitz is so offended he like is more offended by this than anything else, like “we are a good hydra family this is disrespect”
and lastly our most recent obsession the ultimate sin
step sibs au
honestly okay this sounds bad but in my defense certain people enabled me to write a holden radcliffe/alistair fitz au which became old men who used to be friends reconnecting at therapy sessions and starting to date
and fitz being like ?? sorry dr radcliffe are you sure youre okay and that you want to date ?? my dad ??
honestly fitz was having a hard enough time dealing with the holdstair and then - introducing holden’s beautiful daughter and suddenly like fitz is just ?? shit fuck nobody warned me
theyre not even officially step siblings yet their dads are just dating tho i plan on writing the hooking up at their dads’ wedding fic so thats a thing
anyways if you want messy families ?? this is the verse for you
and yeah i think those are the MAIN ONES
i hope somebody enjoyed reading this really long answer??

Could you tell me more about Starfall? I really like what I've heard so far, but some more context for the characters/their world or even just a preview of the very beginning of the story, would be really cool to see, anything you want to talk about!
AAA ok ok so starfall honestly is. weird. its a pmd story ofc but its also a dimension travel story in the vein of svtfoe sooo things may be kinda wacky but i can share some things abt the story and the pmd world itself!! the story itself has. quite a bit going on tk the point where i already have a prequel mostly scripted that im waiting until starfall itself is more finished to actually start. adhd storytelling folks.
basically though the Starting Plotline is that this platinum ranked team called team silverwind (Castor, Atlas, and Quinn!) get roped into a job request dealing with wormholes that have been popping up throughout the world and something goes VERY wrong and the team pretty much drops off the face of their world and the multiverse entirely. so, our main trio team starlight- Asha, castor and atlas’s daughter whose spent her entire life traveling through wormholes and is tired and mad about everything, Skylar, an amnesiac impulsive dare devil adventurer who wants answers and to help their new friends, and Valerie, the optimistic happy go lucky newest friend whose never been outside her hometown much less her dimension and just kinda fell into the plot- have all set out to find the lost exploration team, find out what happened, and maybe see if they can fix the wormhole issue themselves while theyre at it!
valerie’s hometown, Serenade Falls, is set on mist continent (aka the gates to infinity continent) and is “the hub world” as you will... its kiiinda like a vacation place ironically so like there are a ton of attractions and places to relax and Just Have Fun. theres only one official rescue team placed there (as anyone there knows anyways ;) ) because its so safe. as of right now anyways. hint. in fact skylar chose to stay there after meeting valerie bc “asha we are way too young for constant anxiety and stress we need a decent rest stop now”. so yeah thats the town where our main gang rests and plans things in. the first arc basically is them going into the wormholes, searching for these people, getting into some plot relevant shenanigans, and mayybe getting some hints about their lives that make them question their own selves and the universe but perhaps. ;)
there is also stuff going on in the pmd world as well ofc tho!! bc im assuming people read pmd stuff to see more abt the pmd world. the events of the games are referenced, some more relevant than others (one main driving point of the story actually is caused by gti, but uh spoilers for that game so i wont say 😔) but starfall takes place yeeeaaars after psmd, id say five generations or so after that game. idk if people will care for it but the main things dealt with in the pmd world itself will be emotional stuff. some exploring and conflicts there, of course! but the majority it will deal with is character stuff.
i cant give an official preview or anything yet but i can give a brief thing of what the opening will be like! the prologue will basically show team silverwind’s apparent demise, with atlas handing baby asha to castor and he escapes with them and goes on for a while as she ages before he eventually vanishes too. (or i could cut that and just show the scene of him vanishing... still pondering What Works with the prologue 😔) and chapter 1 is basically about how valerie meets skylar and asha! basically she falls into a wormhole and they help her out of trouble! dont mind spoilers like that bc. its chapter 1. but yeah! its gonna be fun, more fun than it sounds! (besides the prologue thats just gonna be sad sorry)
i could go on about the characters but i feel ive made the post too long as is but THANK YOU i love talking about starfall ty!! im sorry if this was kinda incoherent bc my brain is kinda rushing rn it was more rambly but i hope it answered some questions at least!!
