i love living in the southern hemisphere during the holiday season because everyone here gives in to the delusion that christmas must be winter-themed, and we decorate with snowmen and drink hot cocoa as if there weren’t burning summer temperatures outside

mom was describing a tattoo a girl once took her to a back bedroom to show her, which was a fishing pole low on her pelvis with a line and hook that descended into her bush where a small clownfish hid amongst the hair. and that’s just. that’s a goal. and the ultimate freedom from obligation, like “gah I would shave but it would ruin my very good joke, what are you gonna do, I gotta make sure there’s foliage for my little clownfish to hide in”

then mom finished telling me this and looked off for a moment. “my god,” she said. “she was flirting with me. fuck. goddamn it.”

Someone didn’t stop at a 4-way intersection and I was given such a fantastic opportunity to honk at this guy as much as I wanted to. I kept honking and honking and honking. Like 8 times I honked at this guy. At least 12-20 seconds of nothing but pure, pure horn. Also I was the only other guy at the intersection. It was my private little show.

here's the thing. I don't think that men and women can't be friends. I do think, however, that some men can't be friends with women. bc they are misogynists and don't see women as people. so if you as a man say men and women can't be friends I think you're telling on yourself

“Overpowered” is a contextual adjective.

Not only in the “there’s always a bigger fish” sort of sense, although that can apply as well, but I mean like. Power is contextual. If you have a character who can win any battle, they may find themself out of their depth when it comes to interpersonal, verbal conflict or negotiations, or vice versa. A comically overpowered character can still face challenges that aren’t power creep, if you open your mind.
