I do agree, and it's scientifically sound (pretty sure there is data about how people with better social networks live longer and etc) but also....augh..... what about the severe social issues, difficulty to leave the house, physical issues which lead to like zero socialization energy a majority of the time, etc. etc. Social support can be a replacement for structural support, but.. I guess I just wish it didn't have to be. Community is extremely difficult to build, even moreso if you're someone who has issues with social cues or group conversations or even just being around others in the first place. And blah, nuance, of course I'm just complaining or maybe being too negative or maybe misunderstanding, but, I hardly have the energy to brush my hair once every 2 months.. how am I supposed to maintain a wide social network and be active in a Community and Join Groups lol... sometimes it kind of feels like "er.. well if thats my only option then...... ruh roh". while megumi was deep in his musings, you went up to your dear husband who was drowning in his misery. he saw you and immediately his frown softened

Suo! my little shit! my favorite instigator!

jokes aside i love Suo! he's an incredibly interesting character and not just because we know jack and shit about him

he's a good foil to both Sakura and Nirei and i would love to study him under a microscope and all three of them play off each other So Well

Suo was really the one to break the ice when Sakura first arrived at Furin, which considering how Furin is probably wasn't really something that Sakura would've needed in the long run but it made things easier especially for Nirei's nerves

he does a lot of small things in the beginning (showing off how he can get people to accept his requests like he says himself side note love how both of these examples involve Sugi)

it's kind of funny in the way that Nirei's usually the first one to reach for Sakura (i talk about it more in my ramble here), Suo acts as the kind of bridge to allow Sakura to reach others or vice versa (others reaching to Sakura i mean)

during the grade captain vote, no one was speaking up to volunteer themselves or others and only when Suo volunteered Sakura did the others speak up to agree but also spoke highly about Sakura in the same vein or again going back to him breaking the ice with Sakura meeting the rest of 1-1

i love his relationship with both Sakura and Nirei (do not fucking separate this trio /hj) and how they both affect him

Suo's true emotions, hell possibly even his "real" self under all the masks he puts up, are brought out because of Sakura (his proclamation of taking the top spot and his clear, honest passion) and Nirei (running away from where Suo was protecting him so he could properly focus on the fight)

(anther side note i think this panel is one of the few times we've seen him lose his composure)

which actually kinda brings me to another point and it's a very small one but interesting nonetheless to me but it's the panel of Suo and Kaji training together

the matchup always intrigued me and im dying to know what the thought process was here (there's a fic that explores it here please im begging yall to check it out) esp going the route of both of them having smth that they want to hide (Kaji's berserker beast v Suo's merciless brutality) because they hate that particular version of themselves (though in Suo's case i dont think it's... hate but more like a general distain of it, not how one should properly act kind of thing) granted this is all hc'd territory so take it with a grain of salt

im certain that he envies / admires how Sakura and Nirei can be so open about who they are so authentically (and even push past their perceived limits) which im sure is what drew him to them to begin with (this goes into that beautifully) because whatever he went through has made it so he feels as though he cant be his authentic self

as for whether or not i think well get his arc after kiryuu... honestly i feel like his past might involve the Next Big Arc in a way? i know ive seen people speculate hes got connections with the yakuza and i could see that tbh

through my VERY CURSORY LOOK into leaving the yakuza, it doesnt... seem to be as a big a deal as i was expecting? if youve got a good relationship with the person you work under then its pretty easy for you to leave, though reintegrating with society is the hard part from there. i read that it is possible to just... kinda vanish too, though that wouldnt stop another member from tracking you down (and no fingers are being cut off)

if not a full blown yakuza, i could see Suo being part of a different gang and for one reason or another he left it so his former gang members track him down to either a. drag him back or b. punish him for leaving. not sure if his master would be part of said yakuza / generic gang or if his master is the one who got him out of there (which. hilarious if thats the case boy just went and joined another gang instead)

i dont know if his arc will start immediately after Kiryuu (i could see Nii-sensei throwing in a mini arc that leads into Suo's (like with Ito into Gravel)

Hiding behind anon despite the fact ive been non-anon on here hi guys whatsup I have random mostly Grujaja centered things but theres others...............cause....yeah.... -Would be the best at hide and seek, he could just bury himself into the ground and turn the cone until you cant see the face. Would spend hours in one spot because nobody can locate this guy... -Would be that one guy at the party who stands awkwardly in the corner with a red cup. He didnt want to be there but someone else dragged him there and now he has to deal with it. -I feel like Grujaja would wear things like ear mufflers or sunglasses. He wears that cone all the time (as someone who wears headphones alot when you take them off its like getting hit by a truck sometimes.) Would probably also have a moment because the cone gets in the way of his breathing a little. -Hides small things in his cone, basically carrying small items on his head all the time. Things he can just drop whenever he wants them. -P would probably be concerningly good at combat games. P has got some inner demons or something. -Al constantly thinks he is that guy. He is infact not that guy. -Vib is an artist, P is also an artist. The two would probably do art together. -I feel like- whatever Bizzyboys are- they have really strong tails, some of them have tails that can support their bodies weight, kind of like a cool chair. I don't know if youve ever played monster hunter but if you look up the Great Maccao you'll see where im going with this. -They also have good hearing and eyesight too, but its...selective? Its very easy for them to just tune things out or loose focus if they want too. Their emotions/environment probably get in the way of this though. -The Bizzyboys have AT SOME POINT done a Team Rocket type skit.

I headcanon each of the bizzyboys we see as one form of artist or another! they all seem to have artistic tendencies! all were seen drawing in buzzhuzz, even Grujaja, he drew on his cone! Capo included as well. that mans art is cooking to me. Fun fact: on king posters posted to the limbolane account theres graffiti in red with a small Al drawn in the corner implying Al can draw <3

I dont think they can balance on their tails due to the thickness not being enough to support a whole body upright like a Great Maccao, but i do subscribe to their tails being strong enough to support their weight similar to how people portray possums hanging by their tails (though that isnt something possums can actually really do) It's common to pick up young drainfolk by their tail like this in my heart.... or adult ones if you're tall enough and have a death wish! Bonus: I also headcanon young drainfolk climbing onto adults when spooked or upset. (usually parents, though Grujaja Didn't have those anymore so...)

ive mentioned it elsewhere, but the gist is that the sweet innocent child corrupted by big bad events is a tried and true classic, but i find neo being a sour and disagreeable kid extremely interesting

wherein he softens slightly as he matures later on <- this line of thought was to be explored in sub rosa bc its a character study, and since willow is a spinoff of that lol ill be using the same characterisation, tho idk how much of it will show in writing.

anyway thats the general idea, hes an ill tempered and demanding child, bitter and friendless, his isolation (be it self inflicted or otherwise) makes him really unpleasant to be around, very few tolerate him much even less seek his presence.

i dont subscribe to deidamia slander, i do think shes dealing with her own issues, but she does try her best with neo. mostly. its complicated lol

anyhows neo is now lured off with the promise of greatness that lead to the demise of his father before him (honestly i dont think hed know all that much abt achilles. hes somewhat off limits? at home at least idk)

hes shown around his fathers camp and all the things that were once his now belonged to pyrrhus turned neoptolemus, they tell him stories of his greatness that feed into the infallible image he has of him. more on that later aha

his divine blood can only aid him so far, he still has a lot to learn.

he doesnt really do all that much fighting imo but hes aight, using his size and agility and speed to exhaust his enemy before going for the kill. tis pretty efficient

anyway like i said he doesnt have to do much, his men are well trained and regard him with fond reverance, but he rises in the eyes of the others after he kills scamadrius/ astyanax and praim.

hes agamemnons fave now lol and has won the admiration/ approval of the other kings whom he insists are his peers (so this is liek a double victory to him. hes become a man & proved himself). polyxenas sacrifice is a whole thing in sub rosa and she haunts the narrative (go queen) so shell be mentioned here but only briefly ig

also i havent made a timeline but i imagine all this shit going down over the span of just under a year, the last before troys fall.

anyway now with several high profile kills under his belt hes finally made a name for himself, and in his grisly triumph he fails to notice that people regard him with more disgust and pity than anything else. huge blow to his ego lol he truly is nothing more than a tool.

neo is out of his mind (i like to thing hes a lil insane, rage of achilles and all but also not exactly?) ranting and raving, drunk on wine hes too young and naiive for (he gets really sick but he swallows it bc he has to be 'manly'. hes a rightful king now dammit

wouldnt it be cool if like his whole life he looked up to his dad, and then as soon as he got the hang of war hes like lmao this shit is easy look at me im a child and i lived (hubris intensifies). hes so full of himself to mask the deep horrifying insecurity that hell never be able to be anything outside his fathers shadow.

only for his image to break (still need to figure out what the breaking point is lmao) and entire sense of self comes crashing down, he no longer knows what to do nor who he is. kinda like this;

neo to me is ✨ace✨ (le gasp). i think theres something to be said about the sexual violence that is well i wont say taught per se but is something strongly associated and even expected of war; back when i read silence of the girls (a post for another time lol) priam telling briseis that a fall of a city was always hard on the women folk just slapped me across the face.

i mean aside bearing the brunt of the misogyny and all the fun times it entails, my god the fear and grief and all of the things that come with not only the loss of ones home and kith and kin but also your own body. horrific

neo being ace spec and genuinely uninterested in the physical winnings of war is fascinating to me (not to mention hes still very much a child) and not unlike like the wine above hes aware of this and hell be damned if he falls beind his peers (in his eyes)

i think his tragedy is that he, a child, forces himself to be in places no child should ever be, not only with men but arguably with the worst of them, or at least seeing the long drawn out worst sides of them

so he takes andromache as his slave to like rub it in further bc no one else is worthy of his efforts (he likes the shiny things like daddy dearest) and i mean it as not only is my beloved andi trojan royalty, but he specifically and achilles are both responisble for the loss of her family, something he holds over her head as a constant reminder. its like one of the ways hes exercising power over her. "look what ive done and can continue to do."

and this is not to say that other trojan women didnt lose as much if not more, but here im playing witht the noble becomes a slave angle as opposed to slave to trojans is now slave to achaeans.

for more pain (or less if u squint hard enough) to me andromaches children all die in infancy, which is like quadruple homicide fjdhjsk but i think its almost a kinder fate to her and the bebes than to have neo as their father. i dont think she could look in their eyes. how could she when they served to remind her of all what she had lost?

andi afaik was described as the perfect woman/ wife (in the literature or the commentary im not sure but i do know its a thing) and so having her contain a rage to put achilles' to shame is super interesting to me. one of the very first if not the first ideas i had for willow was her unknowingly saying to neo what achilles had told her husband on the battlefield. bc we all need the kick to the face lol.

her anger and grief consume her and fuels her desire for vengeance, and when she recieves divine instruction who is she to deny lol. this was a whole plot point also (a crackier version) where apollo teams up with andi and they both go to town on neos corpse lmao. and then he steals his wife heh <- inspired by the version of the the myths where neo commits blasphemy or sum and apollo nerfs his ass. funniest shit ever to me. mans has beef with achilles' entire lineage.

she is a character who i think is always looking for somethings. like "sure, almost everything sucks, but at least i have something" and she needs to do that in order to live instead of just surviving because she's been in survival mode for so long. (via my dearest @maruyaaya from this post. rip summerwasjuly i miss u everyday hgfyjh)

necessary preface, i imagine that in a post-construct setting the voices only have scars for injuries they put mental significance on! because if they think its not a big deal, why would it be a big deal and scar?? yknow! so like my smitten design only has the scar from dying in chapter 1 vs cheated is COVERED in scars which leads into...

cheated fixates HEAVILY on how unfair razor was/how much she killed him without him having any chance!! thats not fair at all!

unfortunately cheated thinks abt his injuries and dying so much that he has chronic pain

that was long BUT IM NOT DONE. cheated ALSO has adhd and that results in pretty bad emotional regulation skills! and his thoughts wander easily when he isnt in a situation that is Glaringly Obvious [like the princess 5 feet away about to stab you]. cheated doesnt LIKE getting mad so much but hes about righteous anger so he gets mad when things arent fair [and sadly in the construct expecting things to be unfair makes them unfair a lot... and contrarian and cold both see him as an easy target to rile up for enrichment

cheated also has ptsd. the voices are usually at their "worst"/"most extreme" in their chapter 2s and i think cheated would be very quick to spiral if he thinks hes back in "nothing you do helps anything and just gets you stabbed forever"-type situations. i didnt come to this idea as a result of ptsd i just accidentally envisioned him with ptsd symptoms separate from the concept of ptsd and this is the easiest one to articulate

with all of this the rest of the flock also doesnt know WHY hes like this and assumes its just "well thats how cheated is!" which sadly means it takes until he finally admits he hates getting mad for anyone to try and help him with emotional regulation. and cold takes this opportunity when he shares that info to go "just stop feeling" and cheated decks him for it.

i know small cheated designs are common but i actually really like the idea of him being one of the tallest/biggest voices. make that bird loom over the others when hes pissed. i love when characters scare their friends for understandable reasons that dont excuse the behavior.

The chain's weird relationship with food

Im mostly doing the timeline order because im lazy and unoriginal:

Sky: He can kind of cook but he only ever makes one kind of soup or one singular type of meat in a specific way. I dont think the achademy would let them go off not knowing how to cook. He makes for a good back-up cook and the rest of the chain can be sure he will not put anything weird in it(unless Wild is "helping"). He isnt really that picky, but he doesnt like all foods either. He eats what he is given and likes most of it but i feel like his spice tolerance is shit. They did not have many spicy things on Skyloft. Will not eat Hyrules cooking.

Four: He can cook decently, but he cooks better if he splits, because if not he has to deal with the colors agruing because they dont agree on what type of food is best. There is a 50/50 chance wheter it ends up good or as a weird abomination with too many different types of flavour. Will eat most things but will not eat Hyrules cooking.

Time: He does not care. He can hypothetically cook but half the ingredients end up on the ground or eaten before he can even start. Is not picky at all, this man drinks poes, he will eat Hyrules cooking. And he will not complain at all. He also loves sweet food.

Wind: can make easy fish dishes but he has to have instructions. He is very good at cooking if he can follow step by step directions but he will probably get bored after a couple minutes and start messing with the recipie. He is not that picky and he probably would eat Hyrules cooking, and if there is something in his food he doesn't like he will not tell you because his grandma raised him to be polite.

Twilight: he can cook about as well as Sky, maybe a bit worse. The food he makes is either too bland or too spicy. He will eat a lot of things, including bee larvae, and Hyrules cooking. He probably wont complain either.

Legend: He is actually a really good cook, but he cannot cook over a campfire. Give him a kitchen and he can make amazing food but oveer a campfire? He could probably make something but chances are it would either be burnt or taste like how a campfire smells. He loves baking like his uncle taught him and hes very good at it. I dont get why so many people give him zero spice tolerance but i think Wild would stuff goron spice into something and Legend would just go "This kinda tastes like a subrosian dish" and keep eating. Chances are he would eat a rock roast too. He will eat Hyrules cooking and compare it to food from countries he traveled to. Him and Wild sometimes bond over recipies.

Hyrule: Cannot cook at all ever. Do not let him cook. Ever. He will eat anything. The only reason he hasn't died from food poisoning yet is because he can heal himself. Has probably made a living chuchu out of dinner once.

Warriors: Can make shitty army food that doesnt taste good but is 100% eadible. He could probably make something in a kitchen but he "doesnt have the time" even if he isnt doing anything important. Will not eat Hyrules cooking nor half the things Wild suggests making. Always keeps jerky on him, especially after seeing Hyrule cook.

Wild: amazing cook, however he can and will decide to spontaniously pour goron spice into the food hes cooking. He loves cooking and he is the designated cook for a reason. But the others are often scared he will put something weird into the food because he eats like Hyrule. He will eat Hyrules cooking and he will like it.

Bonus:

Ravio can bake a little bit but he is a lot better at mixing up fun smoothies, milkshakes, or similar things.

None of the Zeldas can cook for very different reasons. Sun can almost cook even if it tastes boring, but the rest? They either suck because the cannot cook at all even if they try(Dot, Dawn), they are used to others cooking for them(Dusk, Athena, Flora) and some dont bother trying to make "good" food because they would rather make "fun" food(Fable, Tetra). Aurora is an outlier who can cook easy meals but usually doesnt cook.

Shadow cant cook.

Malon can cook better than anyone else.

Groose is a great cook.

Linkle is almost as bad as Hyrule.

Myth can bake but cant cook, and Ballad cant do either.

my design of towntrap (now changed to tomtrap), eak and cami for my fnafhs take! fhsc (five nights at freddy's high school channel! veeeeryyyy shortened)

design explanation and silly doodles under the cut!

the little motifs that links them together are, for all three of them, their eye make up! i noticed in the show both towntrap and eak have got a big eye make up thing going on; towntrap has that eyeshadow on the outer sides and eak has the ICONIC little dots in each corner but in the few times we see cami's eyes she just has the usual eyelashes all girl characters have. maybe the second bump renders her eye style more original but i decided to make it furtherly distinctive

my version has instead these lines that lowkey look like a clown's or jester's, that resemblance doesnt have any intention behind i just think it looks cool on her

secondly the motif that links only eak and cami together, which in my version were the first to know each other, is their school uniform ties

in these designs they dont wear their ties around their neck, just like how in the original neither eak nor towntrap wear them at all (towntrap does in the first season though, it's in the second one and onward where it dissappears). i decided to apply that little trait to cami as well, to make her feel just as connected to these two and to really make it clear they're a package deal. most importantly, they traded each other ties, so eak wears cami's around his wrist and cami wears eak's as a ponytail before the show's events (when she's more lively and less timid and less going through the horrors, as seen with the eyemake up doodle) and around her waist as a sort of belt afterwards.

of course towntrap doesnt have a tie in the show either, so tomtrap doesnt either. the character reason is because he likes to look more informal. him having his jacket tied around his waist was because 1. drawing jackets is hard and i think having it this way makes both drawing him and his silhouette more easy and redable. the lore reason though is that he got told my a teacher that he looked too much like another teacher wearing it (this is because towntrap's first appearences on the show had people thinking he was a teacher and like, who can blame them its true LMAO).

HOWEVER i couldn't get the red tie motif on his design, the color just didn't suit him. momentarily i tried having his sporty headband be red and be eak's tie (that way the tie rotation would be: cami has tom's, eak has cami's and tom has eak's) but i decided against it. instead it served to make eak and cami's seperate friendship become more accentuated, but i still wanted eak to have a motif with his best friends so realised something. his headband and the jacket he wears around his waist are green and gray, which are the colors of eak and cami's hair! of course not the same shade but thats unimportant. so that way he keeps his besties in his design :3

also i just wanted to mention eak's boots

in the og show his taste in footwear is absolutely terrible im sorry but like look at this man

honestly i get it eddo like who cares about a character's shoes we barely even see the character fullbody anyway this is like the only scene where he's like that and we get to see that crime against humanity

i opted for some mexican style-ish boots with a simplified pattern that i think looks pleasant to the eyes with those two brown tones. used the darker one to color his belt too, so i can reuse colors and give the design an unified look. lowkey based on these bad boys

sally was a quiet, odd little dude and everyone knew it. he didn’t have many hobbies besides playing video games and ghost hunting, but when he met (y/n), that changed. they were like the modern day stevie nicks to everyone in the apartments, known to carry their base strapped across their back at all times. he avoided them for a while, not knowing what to say to spark up conversation, but that changed when fate brought them together in the way of getting them stuck in the rusty old elevator.

“well this blows.” (y/n) said, slumping down into a seated position against the wall, which was probably the most unsanitary thing they had done all day. sally nodded slightly in agreement, stealing a quick glance at them from the corner of his eye. “so what’s your deal?” they asked, looking up at him from their spot on the floor. sally’s face flushed behind his mask and he turned to face them as they said, “you talk or what?” he looked down at his shoes and moved his hands behind his back, tucking them between the wall and his bum. “uh, yeah. yeah i talk. my names sally.”

“cool. i’m (y/n).” they reached behind their back, took off their guitar, propped it up between their folded legs and started to fiddle with the tuning pegs. “i know.” they paused briefly, as if shocked, before going back to what they had been doing. “you know? you some kind of stalker or something?” sally’s face fell, his eyes going wide. “what? no! no, i’m not a stalker. just, everyone knows you here. you’re kinda hard to miss when you’ve got that thing poking out of your back all the time.” he pointed to their base.

“oh, this ‘ol thing? yeah, guess you’re right. her name’s daisy.” sally blinked. “you named the guitar?” (y/n) turned their head up to him and grinned, raising an eyebrow. “do the things you love not have names?” sally didn’t respond, only slid down next to them and tucked his knees close to his chest. “you play?” they asked, strumming their fingers over the freshly tuned strings and nodding in approval at the sound. “no.” he said, scooting towards the corner nearest to him to give them and ‘daisy’ some room. “wanna learn?” he was silent for a few moments, feeling (y/n)’s stare on him. he might never get the opportunity to talk to them again if he turned this down, so.. “sure.” he muttered, scooting back as (y/n) lifted daisy and handed her to him. “i know all the strings.” he said as he took the guitar, holding it awkwardly like it would explode.

“why’re you holdin’ it like that? she’s not gonna bite you. here,” (y/n) gently grabbed his arms and adjusted his hold, placing his fingers on the b and a strings. “i’ve just never held something so expensive before.” he said. (y/n) laughed and moved so they would be sitting in front of him, optimum placement for teaching. “we’ll start you off with something easy, yeah?”

(y/n) and sally spent close to thirty minutes learning the opening to a song (y/n) loved, sally impressing them with his knowledge of rhythm and pace. “that’s so sick, man. start from the beginning.” they said, scooting back a little to observe him. sally strummed all the strings once, twice, before breaking out into the music, playing each chord perfectly. (y/n) was grinning like an idiot when they picked up the chorus, starting to sing the words. their voice was raspy and smooth and edged and feminine all at the same time and it made sally feel ways he didn’t know were possible. (y/n) was watching his hands but he was watching them, the smile on their face as they sang like it was the only thing they knew how to do. (y/n) didn’t even notice when he started playing past the part they’d taught him, too lost in the song to care.

just as the song came to an end, the elevator doors dragged apart loudly, making an awful screeching and groaning sound. “oh, hey man.” a male voice said from behind them. (y/n) turned around to see larry the rocker boy and lisa the maintenance lady standing in the doorway, larry with a crap-eating grin and lisa with a doe-like expression on her face. “hey.” sally stood up from the floor with daisy still cradled in his arms as lisa started apologizing about the inconvenience, saying how the elevator was such a piece of rusty old crap. (y/n) stood up next, running a hand through their hair as they faced larry and lisa. “i heard you playing. i didn’t think you still knew that song.”

larry said. (y/n) turned to sally with an eyebrow raised, hands on their hips. “still?” they asked, looking between the two boys. sally had gone stiff and they seemed to almost be communicating telepathically. almost, because larry continued talking. “oh yeah. that was the first song i ever taught him on base.”

the gears clicked into place in (y/n)’s brain and a slow, wicked grin spread onto their face. “you, sally, are a liar.” they said, taking daisy back from him and slinging her over their back. they huffed a little laugh and looked between the two boys again, shaking their head. “see you around, sally.” they sauntered out of the elevator and regarded lisa with a few kind words and a gentle pat on the shoulder as they went, giving sally one last smirk over their shoulder before they disappeared around the corner.

larry turned on sal immediately, a ‘no-way’ expression on his face. “you talked to them?” he asked, grabbing sal by the shoulders. “yeah.” “and you told them you don’t know how to play??” “yeah.” “you sly dog, you!” larry slapped him on the shoulder like a proud dad, a smile breaking out onto his face.

“did you invite them to the thing tonight? at the lake?” “…crap.” “Sally!”

(y/n) stood around the corner, hand covering their mouth as they giggled and hurriedly scribbled some words onto an old napkin they found in their pocket. when they were done, they oh-so conveniently dropped the piece of paper on the ground, knowing they’d see it and pick it up.

the note read, “room three oh two, seven o���clock. be there. see you then.”

(y/n) quickly turned and hurried to their room as they heard sal and larry’s voices get closer, slipping through the door before they saw them.

one second. two, five, ten. then, the most excited whoops and shouts. (y/n) laughed so hard their stomach hurt, shaking their head. “aw, man.” they walked across their living room and pat their cat on the head, a little extra pep in their step as they walked towards their bedroom to get ready.

my friend talks abt sex a lot. i mean i dont mind too much, she has sex a lot. not that thats a bad thing i really dont care i dont slut shame unless the person is mean or smthn but my friend always tells me abt her escapades. again i dont mind too much tmi doesnt exist between us really. she answers all my questions abt sex how it works what to do, logistics etc. again dont mind tho one question i had for her recently was "how long after starting to date did u first do it w *her bf*?" and she told me "a few months" ....huh. ive been dating my bf for almost 4 years and we havent done it yet! which some ppl have mentioned since for some reason the girls at my school talk abt doing it so often think is weird. one girl in my math class said "girl be careful hell find someone to do him!" huH??? no he wont and if he does he wasnt worth it anyway. i dont understand that. why does a teenage relationship have to have sex? this friend i have does it like every time she sees him, and got really upset when her ma wouldnt buy her condoms (tbf there were other circumstances to her being upset) and wouldnt reeallly accept "u could just not have sex" as an an answer.

Do you think it's necessary to give everyone in windbreaker mini arc about their backstories? I feel tsuge and the other knights aren't that important to explore... I feel the backstories are repetitive in wbk... The author focus on everyone's backstory arc except the protagonist for whatever reason!.

do i think its necessary? well if the alternative is having bland, one-note side characters thats just there to fill out a classroom then yes! its very necessary! esp with the cast of characters we have, the vast majority of the fandom loves learning about them!

id be more than happy to get backstories on every single character in windbre, hell id love to just get names for some of the bg characters (specifically class 1-1, that hexad of kids in awe of Kaji's volume i dream for the day we get names for them)

while i will agree that i dont know if Tsuge will have as in depth of a backstory as everyone else i will also say its cause we dont know jackshit about him! (and unlike Suo its not cause hes hiding anything hes more just kind of whats on the tin yknow) compare Tsuge to Suo or Kiryuu for example, we dont have anything about him being famous from other schools (iirc i might be wrong) just that hes strong, which is also fine imo! i think we should get one tbh considering its pretty easy to see when Sakura takes top spot his kings will be Sugi, Suo, Kiryuu and Tsuge (with Nirei being his advisor) it'd be odd to not get anything him. it doesnt have to be smth very in depth it could be smth like Nirei's lil backstory when Sakura first met him!

speaking of the Kings, same deal for Momose and Mizuki! we dont know anything about them!! we know Momose likes to paint and Mizuki likes the military and im pretty sure thats literally it. its easy to say "they arent important" when we dont spend any time with them to begin with. genuinely curious did you think the same thing when Tsubaki got their backstory?

also... the backstories being repetitive... my guy... my dude... you are talking about a shonen story about delinquents with hearts of gold whove been hurt in some way shape or form in the past, Sakura is learning from everyone... because he can relate to them like. idk what you want here, do you want him to grow and heal from his trauma? or do you want him to suddenly wake up one day and suddenly be a different person?

i think its very ic for Sakura frankly to have his backstory revealed in this way. Sakura was so hurt and put through god knows what growing up that... why tf would he come right out and tell anyone (or show even us) what he went through. his walls may be coming down but he, in his own words, "has one or two secrets that he doesn't wanna talk about"

like his classmates we learn about Sakura as they learn about him (we of course have the advantage of being beyond the 4th wall and can see into his head) but clearly hes keeping what he through under very tight lock and key, hes not ready to reveal that part of himself in its entirety to us or his friends

genuine question in good faith, how can you play botw :( i tried and i couldnt do like.. any of the combat especially with the big robot things and it frustrated me so bad i put down the game and never picked it up again

well for me personally botw wasn't the first "difficult" game i ever played so to speak. i dont think of it as very hard. im not like great with games like that but i did finish dark souls 1 and 2 on my own with tremendous effort. i suck at souls games but im good at smash so botw wasn't horrible for me difficulty wise.

this is a pretty common sentiment for people who are playing botw for the first time for various reasons. on one hand, if its the first zelda game you picked up after playing another title - you're gonna have a hard time. on another if you picked it up because of a game like genshin, you are once again going to have a Hard Time.

getting frustrated w games and quitting is standard so dont feel bad about that.

but it's good for you to keep in mind that botw in many aspects is a game meant for you to fail.

this is true for every "hard" video game to an extent. failure is a crucial and integral part of progression. on one hand, this can be very brutal and demoralizing but it's also something with a sense of accomplishment you can't really achieve anywhere else.

failure is an expected part of the gameplay. dying to random things, being under equipped, having to do fights over and over. these are in the game by design. i know it can feel bad, but it's always good to keep this mind. you are meant to be losing a lot of the time.

games with progression like this (notoriously soulslikes but also many others) are mostly broken down into 3 parts. 1. is actually physical skill - as in being able to use your controller / keyboard and mouse 2. timing - so learning the timing for attack patterns during boss fights in order to dodge and 3. preparedness.

the nice thing is that if you can do the second thing - i.e. figuring out how to time things, you're basically good to go for the rest of the game. that is most of the battle. after that is preparedness. having the right gear, the right stamina etc. if you're getting one-shotted by a boss - it's highly likely it's just too early for you to be exploring that area and you should focus on easier bosses first.

actually physical skill is one of those you develop over time and something that requires a lot of effort.

the main thing with breath of the wild though is that you can exploit the system. souls games are much more rigid. there's realistically not anyway to avoid combat other than grinding it the fuck out and getting to where you need eventually.

but this is not as true for botw. you can farm items, weapons, money + do a metric fuckton of shrines and build your link up to be strong before you take on anything. it's easy to runaway. there are very few instances of fighting that you need to fight in game. you can just continue exploring and building up your inventory until you feel completely prepared.

my best advice early game is just run away. guardians are hard so just open your map and dip using fast travel. wait until you have more hearts to tank it by doing shrines - build your stamina and upgrade your gear and go back.

but also remember - you dont need to do the hard combat to play botw. you can pretty much just explore and fight smaller enemies the entire time and still have fun. it's open world so there's no right or wrong way to play it really.

combat is tough in any game. it just takes practice. but i totally understand not wanting to deal w the stress of that if you're playing causally (this is why i still have not gotten into elden ring KJSDHF. i will over summer tho)

but i'd encourage you to give botw a chance. when it doubt hit da bricks and just explore the map and puzzles. its still a great game on that alone

Also fanny hasn't been used in over 90 years i think the point they were trying to make with that is im not creative/oryginal bc of not wanting to write ortensia bc "i could not think of anything to expand her" but like fanny's got way less screentime than ortensia and has never had a speaking role and I did or at least im attempring to do exactly that with her but they talk about her like i took an already existing freshed out character and used her bc its easier witch really confuses me more than upsets me in any way

Since I dont wanna start drama of any kind but also since these asks have been really getting on my nerves now i've decided to close the ask box and after making this post i'll probably log out for a while probably about a week, i'll return with tcc comic pages and hopefuly will get to open the ask box soon after, im sorry to everyone who wanted to aks me stuff ik there are still some asks in my box I haven't answeared yet that arent this stuff you'll get your answears when I comeback and clean my aks box thecause it looks atrocious right now
