My controversial 9-1-1 opinion is that Buck is one of the least interesting characters on the show. Don’t get me wrong, he is complex and interesting but the type of character he is and oftentimes reduced to (sunshine golden retriever boy, abandonment issues, humour to cope and uses false confidence and cockiness to hide the fact he’s deeply insecure) is common and you can find at least one character in almost any media who pretty much matches that description. Usually those characters are also a fandom favourite and you can never escape them.

The clear favouritism for Buck in the fandom also undermines a lot of the incredible things this show has done for representation. “Omg the white guy kissed another white guy! This is revolutionary and the greatest thing to happen on the show!” (Ik I’m simplifying it).

That’s cool, personally I think one of the greatest things to happen on the show is the representation of an abusive relationship and how that trauma impacts a person for years and isn’t fixed in a night after finding the perfect guy. I also think representing postpartum depression was also quite revolutionary and made my mum feel comfortable enough to open up to me about how she had postpartum depression after my sister was born. Like my mum is 50 years old and this silly firefighter show made her feel seen. THAT’S what representation is for.

Regarding LGBTQ+ representation, I think the HAPPILY MARRIED BLACK LESBIAN COUPLE WITH CHILDREN (Mara we’re getting you home) is something never seen in mainstream media, firstly because there are hardly any sapphic relationships and secondly because those sapphic relationships hardly include women of colour.

This is an ensemble and I feel like a lot of people forget that. I’m also still annoyed that when Buck was confirmed bisexual, major article companies acted like this was the first time 9-1-1 had established 1) a queer character and 2) a queer couple.

Henren ran so BT could stumble around and fall flat on its face.

Interesting... We definitely share some of the same views on things, but I do find Buck really interesting as a character now!!! I find Buck and Eddie soooo interesting mainly because I have read probably millions of words of character study on them. Also when I first watched I didn't find Buck suuuper interesting up until the saviour baby arc, which adds so many layers of complexity to his behaviour across all seasons!!!

I really hope there is a greater focus on Maddie next season!!!! Also I think one of the major flaws with S7, because it was written very quickly and they knew they would have to move scenes across episodes is that they didn't really mix storylines massively, so it wasn't very cohesive and we didn't really get to see the 118 as a whole family properly. The pairings we had were Buck and Eddie, Henren and Madney and Bobby and Athena, and that was kind of consistent throughout. Next season I'm really hoping that they can switch up dynamics at least for a few storylines, BC I miss when we would see scenes of like Buck and Chim, or Athena and Hen, which they stopped doing as much once Bathena happened, because they no longer needed Hen as a link between Athena and the 118. WHICH IS SO SAD! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

ALSO SORRY THIS ISNT VERY WELL STRUCTURED BUT CAN THEY LET HENREN BE HAPPY PLEASE!!!! Kind of sick of their storylines being "oh no someone is threatening our family" because it just paints their family as unstable and they don't deserve that!!! I want silly storylines PLEASE!

But yes the centering of Buck (and sometimes the other guy who I will not name BC I don't wanna piss ppl off) by SOME people in the fandom ANGERS ME GREATLY. ESPECIALLY with the whole Gerrard thing, where the comments on the IG post were FLOODED with people talking about Tommy (named him here oh well). And people talking about how everyone is gonna defend Buck because if Gerrard even looks at Buck they're gonna throw hands! I'M SORRY WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU MORE DEFENSIVE OVER BUCK THAN CHIMNEY OR HEN, WHO HAVE ALREADY BOTH BEEN TARGETED AND HARASSED AND BULLIED BY GERRARD? And he was so fucking disgusting to both Hen and Chim, bear in mind they have a fucking dangerous job, if CHIM had been in that building Tommy would have absolutely left him to die. And people are more defensive over Tommy being potentially harassed by Gerrard and than they ever were over Hen or Chim. White queer people should do fucking better than this. It is the bare fucking minimum to not be racist or not have been publicly racist in the past. Why not ask for a better fucking standard? ALSO with the actor, if you're trying to fucking argue that he's not like that any more, SHOW ME that he is a fucking anti racist and that he is fucking defending minority groups and that he understands the weight of his actions. But it's disgusting. The way some people have to find a way to write Eddie and Chris out of Buck's life and rewrite over canon to bring more focus onto this man astounds me.

As a (lesbian? Idk not currently sure but kinda) queer person, Henren are such beautiful representation and I love them so much and ALSO the foundation of the whole show is basically found family. If you want to only focus on Buck then that's fine I guess, but it is literally written into canon that the family around him mean FUCKING EVERYTHING TO HIM so it's weird that people barely fucking look at it at all.

usually plays upon overused tropes making everything abt it lack any uniqueness to it

it is such an epidemic its forced himejoshis to become resigned to accepting these things into their hearts and even pretending its the shit when really its just shit 😭

its hard to give examples bc this makes up almost all yuri i can think of

#2: Non-Existent yuri

A series with really gay girls but they dont ever explicitly say theyre in love.

Most himejoshis will on in the hill of saying they love subtext but we all know and especially themselves know that isnt true

#3: Yuri that is unserious as fuck

Theres a lot of drama yuri out there but it is always so fucking unserious it just ends up being funny as fuck instead

quite often this type is also associated with erotic media. But theyre so goddamn unserious it dosent matter how sexy either of them are, it immediately makes them so unsexy the minute they start talking.

extremely minor plot points or concurrent small interactions between side characters thats kind of gay as shit

theyre either EXTREMELY GAY or just a little gay theres no inbetween (either way, people will lie one way or another to say its really good)

despite the fact this yuri is quite ephemeral or absolutely nothing some ppl will still call this media wholly yuri for whatever maniacal reason

#6: YURI THATS TOO FUCKING SHORT

Unfortunately the best type of yuri also happens to be too goddamn short (usually limited to oneshots, anthologies, manga series no more than 25 chapters)

lost time memory.... is so much at once, so if i really wanted the person to get into kagepro, id go for kagerou daze, kisaragi attention and otsukimi recital. i think by working with less characters and already having a small plot to work with would make someone become more interested. i think it slowly creates a base to start explaining everything else, since they're more directly linked.

kisaragi attention presents momo AND the mekakushi dan(so its not super out of nowhere that there's many more characters), kagerou daze brings u a little more to theme as to what kagepro is actually about and how it's a tragic story, depite how cheerful and cute kisaragi attention was, and otsukimi recital is both cute and sad, bringing 2 of the characters together. then it creates the questions. what's up with the red eyes? what happened to the dark haired girl in the timeloop, why??

we could also do another plot, more direct? idk, yobanashi deceive, children record, ayano's theory of happiness.... or yuukei yesterday, headphone actor, artificial enemy... i think its not about the song selection it's about the Group. what plot or character are we gonna follow first? i think what initially turns people off is that kagepro just throws a lot of characters and plots at you, and while We know its all connected in a way that makes sense... it's not unheard of that a lot of people get bored waiting for it to get together and they just give up on it. I've met many kagepro fans who never even understood all the links, and treated the story as stand alone plots. which isnt a bad thing, we all consume media differently, but it's what I'd have in mind when showing this complicated story to someone else

Non natives love to defend Erdo which is why us Turks have a whole term for them. Most of it however DOES stem from the second option being true.

Erdogan was in fact a very good leader in his first few years of power, now my family personally never liked him, he technically was in power on the sidelines for 10 years until he became president 10 yrs go. He did many things like make hospitals and healthcare way more accessible, fixed a lot of roads and built bridges etc. Now you may go “jay, isnt that what a normal president is supposed to do ?” Well, yes. But the guy before him didnt do a whole lot, so him doing his literal job was enough to convince people he was good enough to keep around.

As time went on he started to take a way harsher approach. Slowly but surely the price and tax on everything went up. Religion started to be the hottest topic in turkey despite us being a secular country on paper.Slowly festivals became too loud, protests were bothersome, pride parades were sinful, gays werent considered people, music after 12 wasnt allowed, Eurovision was something too embarrassing for our country to take place in, alcohol was a luxury that only the desperate & sinful tried to buy, women were not obedient enough, the legal age to get married was too high, sex before marriage became a big topic, rapists and murderers would walk freely, femicide got to a brand new high and a whole lot more.

This all happened slowly and gradually. By the time we thought to speak up on any of this the i-don’t-even know, 60% yearly inflation rate had worn us down. A dollar was no longer 2.5 TL, it was close to 25. Nothing could be bought with minimum wage. Whatever you bought, you bought a second one for the govt in tax (a phone here costs twice the price of one in america). People who vote for him mostly do so because all media outlets are heavily censored and totally in his favor. He has control of literally everything. Literally!! He hosted a referendum where he legally was given so much power that he can change whatever he wants on a whim. He will confidently lie out of his teeth and tell his supporters that the reason everything is so expensive is because of his opposition (who have virtually no power) + its fine because even if we’re poor we’re closer to god and his supporters eat it up because they have some fucked up parasocial relationship with him.

Right now we’re screwed beyond belief. The election was rigged in his favor but despite everything he either wasnt able to end it on the first round or intentionally didnt so he could win by a higher margin on the next round. The house is fucked, the opposition lost a ton of seats to highly religious islamic fanatics who straight up advocate for sharia law. That and the president literally had an alliance with a terrorist organization who want 15 year olds to get married, theyre also in the house. Its great.

Now we wait for the 28th, but its going to take a miracle for Erdogan to lose. I have virtually 0 hope at this point. One thing is foreigners defending him, but any turk who does so deserve everything they get. I truly hope anyone who voted for him suffer a fate worse than death (at this rate, they will). that being said i think a lot of people would not like that sicely isnt a g*ld st*r lesbian or that lucerne doesnt use labels, bc twitter is really hung up on what characters "really" are or what stories "really" mean.

i think theyd also do that thing where theyd be like ugh look at these children currently in abusive situations why are they not acting 100% perfectly, the author clearly has no idea what theyre doing with portraying abuse, this is just torture porn and fetishizing ptsd/osddid. bc theres no way that the things that happen in CW could ever happen to people, bc abuse happens to other people and never in anything i might have to interact with.

This ones also a toughie actually bc a large part in why the hunger games movies contributed to showcasing what the original work condemned is because the media circus and bloodsports as vapid entertainment were directly being condemned in the original and #Media isnt really a huge part of carousel waltz. i think in order to really turn carousel waltz on its head youd have to be simultaneously very victim-blamey to the children but also prop up the adults as the ones who must "save them", bc children cant do anything on their own and cant be trusted to have legitimate grievances with the adults in their lives. flattening midas into either a villain who never cared about the people he abused or apologizing for him as a well-meaning patriarch who was just led astray and by proxy flattening the abuse into depictions more palatable to the wider consumer audience would do it i think.

but i dont know if it being a movie trilogy would necessarily cause those changes to occur-- movies are visual and sequential like comics but usually have to be 2 hours or less and are overwhelmingly held hostage at the whims of distributors, executive boards, investors, etc. so the influences it would have over carousel waltz would be along those lines. i think that with the time crunch it'd probably be really easy to make the story less subtle, and to have to hammer home points. certain characters necessarily would not have as much screentime and focus in a movie trilogy, which i think WOULD contribute to being an example of what im trying to condemn, and a movie might inadvertently say that some abused children are just collateral damage and we can move past them, some abused children dont have interiority or anything to draw attention to them, some abused children are more important or worth rescuing more. its also very important to me that most of the carousel waltz kids r not white, and that the grownups are, but casting would probably whitewash them or try to make the story colorblind instead of keeping in how midas' abuse takes advantage of his identity of whiteness over them. combine this w the idea that there needs to be adults to save these kids and u get a white savior araceli. if this concept makes you want to gnaw your leg off at the ankle to get the shackle off, that just means youre still human! try to hold onto that feeling.

since magical girl isnt a big genre in the west theyd try to reflavor it as some other thing like superheroes or a dnd party or something. or theyd want to age up the kids so the bad things happen to a more acceptable age group bc the idea that kids might have bad things happen to them is a scary thought so theyd completely miss the point abt it being a story abt child abuse and now its a buncha late teens-early 20s bullshit.

Two reasons:

Attention. The general public doesn't really care about them. They are together, okay. They have a 16-year age gap, okay. Their relationship isn't something that has never happened before; maybe it was shocking for a month, and for 2 days after they drop something, but another day, another drama. I think she likes the fact that she is being talked about, just like Justin. Maybe it's only happening on a small part of Tumblr and Twitter, but people still talk about her. About whether she was the one who sent the screenshots of the story to blogs or accounts or who edited it, whether it's an old picture or a newer one, or whether she was at the party.

We are the ones who have been selling this "relationship" since the very beginning. We are the ones who were talking about this whole thing when the GP didn't even know who she was. During the time when they didn't even want to come forward as a "couple", but we still talked about them and there were even articles about them maybe being together, we helped sell the narrative. The GP doesn't care whether Alba and Chris were at Jamie's birthday party or whether Chris and Alba were having dinner with Scarlett, Josh, and Robert. We care about it because we do. And also because the fans are divided; some of them think it's real, and some of them think it's not, and each group is trying to find evidence of its own truth. Most people don't care about them being at parties or at each other's houses, but fans do, and it's needed to sell a relationship, to make it organic and natural, just like a normal relationship, especially in their case when it doesn't seem like they want to do pap walks and public appearances. There are a lot of people who, after watching a story like this, may not have started believing they are real, but it definitely crossed their minds, or they went on fully believing it is. Being at your place and spending time with your family are good options for selling a relationship.

It's not about them posting a picture of being somewhere, but the fact they are constantly using older content and pictures and videos that were taken in his house. Like Alba's and Justin's post for Joana's birthday party. They've been friends for years, and do we really think Alba didn't have another picture of her just like the one that was taken in Chris's hot tub? Or that Justin was forced to post the photo and video of Joana, which were taken in Chris's VT house? The pictures that Ana posted also look old. She was never alone when they created any content, so it's not that surprising that her circle was there too.

I get it. This whole thing can be really confusing sometimes. It's just my opinion, and I could be wrong too, so...😅

1. Powerpuff Girls- this show was my entire personality as a child and i count it as my first special interest. buttercup was my idol and i wanted to be just like her. and yes, i am very disappointed in the remake and am adamant the original is vastly superior.

2. Ed, Edd, n Eddy- not as influential as the first show on this list but definitely an important part of my childhood. being the lonely kid i was i fantasized about having a ragtag group of friends to cause mischief with, especially regarding the construction of weirdly complex stuff like the eds were known for. i also think the kanker sisters were the coolest, especially marie. also, is it just me or did everyone i know think that double d was a girl at first?

3. Death Note- jumping ahead to my middle school years we have this absolute classic, and the beginning of my interest in anime, basically required reading/watching for any fan of japanese media. i have fond memories of spending weekends with the friend who introduced me to this show and staying up until 4 am watching adult swim for this to come on. now i know i probably should not have been watching adult swim in the 6th grade but you know, kids hit 13 and think theyre grown. also this is nowhere near the worst thing you could show to a young teen.

4. Code Geass- this is the other defining show of my middle school years, and this one stuck with me for far longer. also something i really shouldnt have been watching at that age, and i really didnt even understand the political themes of the plot, i just wanted to watch the main character blow shit up. watching it again as an adult is a much different experience and i have developed more of an appreciation for it over time.

5. Hetalia- now i know what youre thinking: "oh god a hetalia fan *blockblockblockblockblock-*" listen, im not going to defend this series and im sure as hell not going to defend its fandom. i dont associate myself with those fascist-fetishizing yaoi-addicted freaks but this show was still a big part of my high school years and long story short i may have never created the fursona i have today without it. (no i am not joking)

6. Villainous- this is a brand new very recent show that is far from being finished but definitely ticks off a lot of my interests so im definitely excited for the day it finally comes out dubbed in english. makes my inner edgy teenager happy. definitely want to go out and wreck shit with demencia.

7. Invader Zim- now i know im a bit late to the party on this one but unlike most people my age i didnt watch a lot of nickelodeon growing up and in my adulthood i decided to revisit the things i slept on while they were popular. its true what they say, queer and neurodivergent culture really is just spending your 20s being the teenager you always wanted to be. and i wanted to be a scene kid.

8. Making Fiends- much like the above, i didnt really watch this until recently. unlike the above, its a tragically short series that never aired more than a handful of episodes before getting canned. even worse, the creator cant do anything else with it bc nickelodeon still holds the rights, even though they never do anything with it besides air reruns every october. thankfully the whole series can be easily found on youtube, including the original webisodes. also, if i had a nickel for every angry little green girl i found relatable id have 2 nickels, which isnt a lot but its weird it happened twice.

Bonus: Dan vs.- another tragically short show. its great. just go watch it.

what is your genuine opinion on byler rn do you think they're actually gonna be endgame? I doubt all the time this show has never been great when it comes to their queer characters

i completely believe its gonna happen for so many reasons but ill just tell you a few big ones.

will canonically loves mike. i cannot think of a single other fictional media where someone was revealed to be in love with someone else THIS far into the story and it ended up being unrequited. when stories are written about an unrequited crush and how they move on, they reveal that crush early on so we can see their character development over the course of the story. but with only one season left they missed the opportunity to tell the story that way. if they wanted will to just have a crush on mike and then find someone else, we wouldve known about his feelings probably by season 2.

they showed the worst of mike and el’s relationship in the same season that they revealed wills feelings. those two dont just happen simultaneously if its for nothing.

THEY ARE SO VERY CAPABLE OF WRITING AN ADORABLE AMAZING REAL COUPLE WHO LOVE EACH OTHER!!!!!!! SO WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY CHOOSE NOT TO WRITE THAT FOR THE CENTRAL COUPLE OF THE SHOW IF THEYRE ENDGAME????!!! i would eat mlvn up if they wrote it in the dynamic of lumax but instead they had him struggle for literally HALF THE SHOW to tell her he loves her. and we see how painful it is for both of them to maintain the relationship.

mike suddenly becoming an asshole and the audience having no insight as to why hes treating el or will the way he is. mike was a lot of peoples favorite characters in s1 and 2 and then in s3 he was kinda a bitch. he lied to el instead of just telling her about hopper and then the rain fight with will. and this continues in s4 and gets even worse, especially with el. if the reason for this isnt internalized homophobia then its just a genuine plothole in the story and character development.

the lack of finn/noah interviews. this is mad suspicious. they are in almost every scene together this season and theres definitely stuff to talk about relating to their characters but they chose to separate both of them and not let them answer any of those questions together. but for the other “will they/wont they” couple, stancy, those cast members were often paired together (with maya and joseph but still). i also think its interesting that theres barely any finn and millie interviews from this season as well. i dont think theyre as strictly separated as finn and noah but most of millies press is either alone or with noah.

Listen, listen, I understand Crosshair's POV, being left behind, hurt and betrayed, and for him it seems they never even spared him a thought, and that's an absolute horrible feeling and everything he told hunter is absolutely necessary and he should say it! That's exactly how he felt and lived things, but remember he speaks FROM HIS POV

Thing is, I only see people undertsanding and defending Crosshair's side, and I always see this, and in most things, people always ignore the leader's side SO HERE I GO

Let's hop to Hunter's POV, literally everything he knows of Cross is that he's trying to kill them. That the Empire wants to take Omega, and get rid of the rest of the batch. And yes, he did risk everything to go back for her, but this was when his whole squad was together, and the whole context of the galaxy's situation hadn't sinked in, they didn't even know. But THEN one of his brothers completely turned on them, and actively tried to kill them. And so they are forced to leave (or they'd quite literally die). So now imagine Hunter when

1.-He has ALSO been betrayed by a brother (he doesnt know of the chips yet) and he just saw him try to KILL THEM (that leaves a scar i mean come on)

2.- On future missions, this same person that's hunting them KNOWS how they plan, move, act and even THINK. And on every encounter all they see is that he wants them dead, NOT ONLY THAT but it's not just Crosshair who's there every time, BUT A BUNCH OF OTHER SOLDIERS AND SHIPS AND PEOPLE TRYING TO KILL THEM TOO NO QUESTIONS ASKED AND WHO DON'T LEAVE THE SNIPER MAN'S SIDE FOR A MOMENT

3.- His squad is broken now! Everything he knew were his brothers, his team and how to move with them, and now that's been completely broken, which comes with the next one

3.1.- He has no superiors, his orders and decisions are HIS and ONLY HIS and literally EVERYONE is counting on him to make the right choice, every time, and keeping them all safe, alive and well, and LITERALLY ANY CONSEQUENCE IS ON HIM. Even if it's a team effort or something, if anything happens its on HIM. AND THAT'S REALLY FREAKIN EXHAUSTING AND A SHIT TON OF PRESSURE ON SOMEONE and many say like "uh sure, no ones blaming only him, they are a team blah blah" but take a look at literally EVERY piece of media reactions, or history even and ALL the responsibility ALWAYS comes down on the leaders

3.2.- HAVE YOU SEEN ALL THE RESENTMENT HE HAS FOR LEAVING CROSS?? He carries all the guilt with him! And even all across the fandom it's all about HUNTERS FAULT ON EVERYTHING! So imagine the weight of knowing your brothers do what you say and it's still all on you!

4.-So NOW he has to make sure they leave safely, and thing number one someone NEEDS to survive?? THATS RIGHT: FOOD AND SUSTENANCE, AND HOW DO WE GET THAT? MONEY YES so that's why they need a JOB

5.- They go out to find out that the galaxy is all incredibly messed up, that everyone's being controlled, that they as clones and as soldiers have LITERALLY LOST THEIR PURPOSE. Everything they've fought for is GONE. AND SO they try to find WHO THEY ARE, sometimes on jobs, and sometimes doing the morally right thing because ITS ALL A MESS RN AND THEY ARE TRYING TO UNDERSTAND WHERE THEY ARE AND THEIR ROLE THAT HAS BEEN BLASTED OUT OF THEM. THERES NOTHING LEFT THEY STAND FOR? SO WHO ARE THEY??

6.- He has 4 other people to take care now! And to look out for them ALL THE TIME! So while YES he left Crosshair behind, he has to try to juggle all and find a way to survive without leaving behind the ones he's with RN! And he has to, not choose or decide but BEGIN TO FIGURE OUT what's best for them! He has no context or experience or base as to what to do or what they need! Leave with Rex? Join another cause? Drift even farther apart from the possibility of saving Crosshair? Are they soldiers? Of what?

6.1.- He has to figure things out DAY BY DAY, because at any moment the Empire or Bounty Hunters or ANYONE COMES FOR THEIR NECK! SO PLANNING IS A BIT TOUGH IN THAT CASE! SPECIALLY WHEN RESCUING SOMEONE WHOS AFTER YOU

7.-As far as he's concerned Cross is "safe" with the Empire and HUNTER'S REMAINING SQUAD ISNT SO HE HAS TO KEEP FOCUS, also as far as he knows Crosshair doesn't WANT or NEED, or even CARES for them, so chances of taking him back willingly are SO SLIM, EVEN MORE WHEN HUNTER DOESNT KNOW WHERE CROSS IS HALF THE TIME, IF CROSS ISNT TRYING TO KILL THEM, FORCE KNOWS WHERE HE IS THE REST OF THE TIME, so sure try to go save him???

8.- He's now taking care of a child as well I mean please

So imagine juggling all this at the same time, fully knowing they should not leave anyone behind, but still seeing ALL OF THIS and knowing whatever happens is on YOU, without even understanding WHO YOU ARE???

And I know there are a lot who'll still say "well he should find a way" or whatever, and that's what always happens with leaders, but really, decision making related to you and four other people's LIVES, and all that responsability and inner conflict isnt goddamn easy

And again, I'm NOT saying Crosshair's POV is 100% WRONG, that's how he felt and lived it and IT REALLY HURTS

Just... cut Hunter some slack man, leading isn't easy, and far less in a situation like that

You know Plan I read a LOT of fanfics since when I was 9 (it's gonna be 10 years first of January yey T~T) and there was some good ones, some bad ones, some atrociously wrote one, some pretty amazing wrote ones, but all of them were at least consistent yk?

So there's this ONE FUCKING fic I read Idk why, I don't even remember if they were tagged right! It had mpreg, just so you know, it was wangxian (but it gets infuriating) but they only got together for a few paragraphs before WWX DIED (which is canon) but with all that was happening I wasn't expecting.

TW: for Idk manipulation into being a surrogate, traumatic experience with childbirths and a little graphic depiction of first time doing the thing in a traumatic situation. It's not good just so you know, and I hate to put you through this but I need to get it out of my chest and I read this recent ask and it made me remind of this.

Anyway in the beginning of it we have jyl ask wwx to have s*x with jzx so the couple can have a baby. Why? She's a woman. She's already married with jzx. Why does wwx have to do it? Is she infertile? NO, SHE ISN'T!! BC IN PART 2 AFTER WWX COMES BACK FROM THE DEAD SHE GETS FUCKING PREGNANT AND IT GETS ME ANGRY EVERYTIME I THINK ABOUT IT!!!

Wwx gives birth in koi tower and no one besides mdJin, jzx and jyl knows wwx gave birth to Jin Ling.

Wwx is traumatized, so the writer makes him encounter with lwj and they fall for each other or whatever (it's not healthy bc wwx isn't right in the head). And THEN wwx gets pregnant with A-Yuan and everything is ok, the pregnancy is going well, family dream life. But then the autor fuck again and have lqr (who apparently didn't know wwx was in cloud recess and pregnant with his prized nephew child) discover about everything and lwj talks to him saying he will take responsability for his "mistake" (it isnt even lqr who says that, its lwj, which makes me 10x mad) in FRONT of wwx and it leaves wwx crushed to ashes and mpre traumatized, why would lwj even say something like that. That's so ooc of him, I hate it.

Wwx disappears from lwj sight encounters wq saves the wen remnants and para pa pa paaa dies after some canon gymnastics.

The beef I have with this fic is so so so... It hurts. Why would they write something like that? And then in part 2, when wwx comes back to life is as if nothing happened. Jyl pushed him AND jzx in a traumatic event (it was wwx first time and its made pretty clear and graphic and it made me want to vomit), basically chains him in that godforsaken golden disaster, takes his child away (I don't remember if he even has time to hold the baby, but he can hear its cry and wants to cuddle JL), and then everything with LWJ, and then the part 2 I didn't have stomach to finish bc of a panic attack it gave me.

And I swear, taking a break from the fanfics and the twitter fandom was something I needed so bad after that, I didn't even know you or the bunnies, I thought jc was cool back then, this fanfic made me reconsider all my thoughts and I really don't regret starting to be a proud Jiang Hater.

Future life hack if you find yourself reading a fanfic like that again:

I don't read fic in this particular fandom anymore. Some people just use whatever character names are popular or media they're into to take (sometimes catficsh, depending on how inaccurate the tags are) others along on a journey through their own personal psyche. & a large number of ppl in this fandom revel in dragging the mains through a sort of gratuitous psychological, emotional, physical trauma circuit (Sure mdzs has a lot of knives but the suffering is well justified and precipitated by the plot, it's not THE "plot"). It has nothing to do w canon. It's not something you can, or should argue or correct. These characters' only connection to mdzs are their names.

Some people can read something they find unsettling and shortly shrug it off. You are not those people. So do yourself a solid and if something starts feeling like the really quiet scene in a horror movie - close the tab. Now if you find your mind drifting towards this redirect it immediately. I know it's hard bc the desire to keep picking at it is huuuuuge, but try not dwell on it anymore as much as you can, bc the more you do the more you cement it into your memory.

so basically enhypen/epipen, my main slayers, went live on vlive (kpop streaming app) a couple days ago like 2 or 3?? and it was only 4 members,, ill tell u the names just for reference err seating chart was like jungwon, niki, sunoo, jake. and basically they were using their bixby (their company or whatev is sponsored by samsung yk) and idr what they were talking abt the bixby ai has said 'when someone ways a lot-' and niki's stupid ass says 'kim sunoo!' implying sunoo weighted alot/was fat. and sunoo in the past has been constantly fatshamed by like the media and a couple times (like 7 or 8 idk rlly) by his own group members... and we all know that it is never okay to speak abt someones weight like that n shit but then everyone laughed abt it too ?? and also keep in mind, sunoo has really chubby cheeks, if u remember when i had u guys rate kpop idols -- the one with the pink hair ?? yeah him. and like the worst thing is that this isnt the first time someone like this has happened too like its happened before with members like sunghoon and jay. and everytime like all the members laugh?? and then this sparks up a bit ol thing, why wouldnt it yk? and people are like giving their opinions and shit saying niki shouldve never said that and he was so wrong like wtf was wrong w him (which i agree w). BUT theres also engenes (enha fans) are like even DEFENDING niki saying shit like 'oh but he's only 16!!' AND??? UR POINT??? but yeah and as someone whos been niki biased for like ever he's so fucked up for this !! theres even ppl tryna putt the blame on sunoo?? but yeah a lot of ppl have been unstanning enhypen (i dont blame them) bc like if they think sunoo, whos pretty fit and skinny, is fat then what are engenes who are bigger than him?? but yeah a huge wave of ppl becoming like sunoo solo stans or just completely unstanning so yeah im rlly mad at enhypen minus sunoo my boy does no wrong literally

The ones that suffer the most

I wanted to talk about this for a long time.

I’m a Resident evil addicted, I finished almost every RE game released and I must say that Capcom made some poor choices regarding Jill and Chris, they are EASILY the most mistreated characters in RE Franchise. 

But let’s explain why is that: 

Jill and Chris are survivors, they had to survive in a mansion with a lot of puzzles and zombies, while looking for items that could help them to progress and find a way to reach Brad. 

When they arrive at STARS Office, they are revolted that Umbrella did all that under their noses and innocents were dying because of that and they explained EVERYTHING in a report - but Irons made that go away. 

In the ORIGINAL RE3 we had this special file (Jill’s Diary) 

August 7th Two weeks have passed since that day. My wounds have been healed, but I just can't forget it. For most people, it's history now. But for me, whenever I close my eyes, it all comes back clearly. Zombies eating people's flesh and the screams of my teammates dying. No, the wounds in my heart are not healed yet...

August 13th Chris has been causing a lot of trouble recently. What's with him? He seldom talks to the other police members and is constantly irritated. The other day, he punched Elran of the Boy's Crime department just for accidentally splashing Chris's face with coffee. I immediately stopped Chris, but when he saw me he just gave me a wink and walked away. I wonder what happened to him...

August 15th Midnight. Chris, who has been on a leave of absence for a "vacation," called me so I visited his apartment. As soon as I walked into his room, he showed me a couple of pieces of paper. They were part of a virus research report entitled as simply as "G". Then Chris told me that, "The nightmare still continues." He went on to say that, "It's not over yet." Ever since that day, he has been fighting all by himself without rest, without even telling me.

August 24th Chris left the town today to go to Europe. Barry told me that he would send his family to Canada and then he would follow Chris. I decided to remain in Raccoon City for a while because I know that the research facility in this city will be very important to this entire case. In a month or so, I'll be joining with them somewhere in Europe. That's when my real battle begins...

For some weird reason this file isn’t available in RE3 Remake. 

But ok, here we see that Chris was doing some investigation - in the RE2RMK  you could see this letter that Chris left in a way that normal people wouldn't understand - the only thing that Claire says is that “doesnt look like him” but how normies would understand what Chris is like is he is not well represented in media ??????????????????

And Jill had all the detective work in her wall. 

So far so good - we understand the basics about them - they are Special police force, the elite, they had a traumatic experience and they survived to tell the story. 

Some problems until now:

Jill had a MAJOR personality change in RE3 RMK- I honestly like most of that, she is a badass in the originals and she is a badass in the rmk but I still dislike the fact that she swears all the time (specially because in RE1, RE Rev, RE5 she doesn't do that) 

We can tell a lot about her personality just looking at her room, but I still miss some stuff (I had expectations - so this is not a real problem. but still) like a Vinyl player (since she is probably into classical music), some letters from her father so new players can understand her origin and why is she so good in lockpicking and more about her dog (she had a pic in the original that could’ve been her boyfriend but it was replaced by a dog in RE2 rmk but in RE3 Rmk there in no dog) 

Okay - after you finish the game the only thing we see is this: 

In my opinion this is Chris since he is always associated with Green colors while Jill is associated with blue. 

So my speculation here is that she found him while in the original we had this: 

This is not a major chance but still is important (lore of course - duh) but the problem here is that while Jill is looking for him - Code Veronica is happening. 

So I can only assume two things, they did not show him because they DON’T HAVE A FACE FOR HIM or I am wrong and that is Jill, but if that is Jill so why there is no decent epilogue like the original ? 

Okay, now we are arriving in the real trouble area

I will do RE5 first and the Wii and Rev1 (even tho those two comes first in the lore)

But in the beginning we see that Chris is looking for her and have in mind that Chris HAD A MAJOR CHANCE IN HIS APPEARANCE, and I’m not talking about his muscles. 

I will not address Chris in CV since he was good in that game but I the team that made CV also made the original, it had CONSISTENCE. 

Here we have Chris, he’s THE classical american soldier protagonist from Hollywood in the 80′s/90′s and he had some omage to TOPGUN

He also shares some traits with his sister

A major trait here is that HE HAS BLUE EYES, typical good looking soldier from US. 

and now let’s have a look at Chris in RE5...

Yeah... I still hate this face even tho I love his Character in this game, this ugly a** monkey looking mf and he had a lot of steroids

So we have some lore to him in RE5, Jill and Chris went to a mansion looking for Spencer (one of the fathers of Umbrella and the one that was behind project Wesker, he wanted to do this Virus so he could live forever, so RE has a good lore, it’s not just about zombies) but when they found him, he was dead and Wesker was by his side, in a fight Jill sacrificed herself to save Chris’s life. 

Chris started doing mission after mission because her body was never found, and he made a name for himself, he became a ‘legend’ inside BSAA and you can see that in the beginning of RE5.

The reason behind the muscles was probably to fight Wesker mano to mano but still is not well made, it really felt weird playing for the first time. 

So now we have a problem here, there is thing that you use in a narrative that is to make someone strong af powerless, and they did that to Jill. (a good example of this is in TWD- Ricky is a fucking legend and Negan made him powerless in the face of a event) 

Jill was used in a Boss fight and that is it... She is not in the game as a character, she is being manipulated and her whole design was changed, she looks like Nina from Tekken. WTF. - BTW, the fact that Wesker had mind control over her created 1000 fics of sex 

 So that is it, my main problem here isnt Jill itself, but it’s the fact that they used her character as a boss even tho she is the heroine, she never appears in RE lore again until some guy inside Capcom said “Well people are asking about Jill so let’s place a file in Rev2 saying that she is in rehab” 

The only time that she appears again is in a 3DS NINTENDO ONLY game, it felt that Capcom simply don’t care about her character. 

By the way Revelations 1 is a great game and was adaptable some years later for PC and consoles

But you think that this is bad, wait until we arrive at RESIDENT EVIL 6 

When I learned that Jill was not in RE6 I was mad... But after I played that game I said “thank you God” that game was bad, transformers kind of bad, it had bad writing, the lore was all over the place and Chris was the one that suffered the most in this game. 

He was responsible for the death of an entire squad, suffered amnesia and people still wanted him in the command 

THEY MADE HIM AN ALCOHOLIC 

The golden boy of BSAA reduced to THIS. 

By the way, the director said that HE WANTED TO KILL CHRIS IN THIS GAME to SUBVERT EXPECTATIONS - so if you liked Piers now that he died only because of that. 

So now let’s analyse what we know: 

The first 2 main characters are not well represented in media until RE6, they don’t know how to re introduce Jill in the games and Chris was reduced to a normal guy at a Russian bar;

But it gets worse... 

Capcom LOVE Leon, we know that. he is always the hero, he is the protagonist in almost every movie and he is always the cool guy so when he get’s a new model, he looks like this:

But When Chris get’s a new face he look like this: 

WHO DAFUQ ARE U, no offense to the model but he has NEGATIVE JAW LINE.

And still he doesn't look like Claire’s brother, there is no blue/green eyes and he looks younger that he was in 6 (and 6 still uses that ugly character model) 

But let’s go in the lore- we HAVE 0 info on Jill in RE6 / RE7 and no sight of her in RE8 

And speaking of which, they tried to make Chris the bad guy in the trailer so when we play we see “Ohhhh he was not the bad guy, that happened and that is why he did that” 

But still... 

If they are going to do that to his character don’t use this character, shit ! Do something with that Wesker’s son that made 0 sense in RE6 but leave Chris out of this - it really feels that they simply don’t know how to treat him right

And you may think that I may be complaining a lot because of his appearance

But this is him in RE8  

(to me this is some random dude from Russia) 

And this is him in RE:Verse (that is going to be release TOGETHER) 

So this tells me that they have 0 clue of how to handle his looks

Jill got RE3Rmk but it felt like a cheap game compared to RE2Rmk where the original RE3 was SO MUCH BETTER

And this is bad because there are so many new fans joining the fandom only to see 2 great characters suffering from poor director’s choices. 

I’m sorry about this rant, if you like Chris face and looks its okay, really, but dont tell me that Chris from 5/6/8 is the same from 1/CV and if you think im wrong about Jill its fine, but she is an amazing character that could have so much more impact in RE universe (I mean, she never even appeared in a RE movie - animations) 

But it’s sad to see so many characters that receive good representation in media and good games/lore while Jill get’s almost none and Chris is handled like random face guy. 

I was going to talk a little bit more about Rev 1 and RE Umbrella Chronicles but there is no need since Im mad right now and it seems that Capcom has 0 interest in making Code Veronica and Umbrella’s fall after that since their fav boy Leon need a rmk in RE4 even tho RE4 is not that old.

Fun fact: Chris served in the Air force, so yeah, to me even Tom Cruise looks more like Chris than Chris from the games
