All the hype didn't matched with the song

1. rest members songs had so much depth and substance to it while this was the cliche boy chasing a girl song. Like we always dont need deep songs but the quality could be so much better. This was like just another pop song.

I think I'll put this on same level as BAD DECISIONS. But for bad decisions, atleast the chorus was staying on my mind while for this nothing was catchy enough for us to humm. Just because it's JK it will get hype but otherwise it's so generic. I think I liked LEFT and RIGHT way better than Seven. Even the rap portion felt so unnecessary and boring.

2. MV was kinda nice because of the production but concept was too shallow, the stalking and chasing was so outdated. In my country we have like 9293928843837 MVs in this same concept that not many make the same theme songs again.

3. The choreography. We haven't seen the full version. But for tiktok they do the highlight portions if that's so mediocre idk how rest will be. It was again giving the same mediocre showing off choreography and for me backdancers ruined it with their awkward moves.

4. they wanted this song to be played everywhere around the world. But there was nothing catchy enough to attract gp or go viral on tiktok, even if we sped it up. The only way to make everyone listen is to shove it down their throat but doing payola. But idk if investing in payola is worthy for the song. I also doubt the longietivity, as for me it was boring after 2 listens. I'll rather listen Like Crazy or wildflower or closer 20 times than listening this once.

5. I HOPE he'll bring something fresh to the table for his album and don't involve this mediocre producers who uses the same formula and same superstar persona to make a song successful. He is so much talented to sing a song which is so rich in melody and lyrics. And he can produce way better songs by himself.

The suits at BigHit are trying but they are woefully out of touch with the reasons BTS blew up in the West in the first place. I have to give BigHit some credit because I can see what they're going for here. Andrew Watt is a very celebrated producer in the US, he won the Grammy award for Producer of the Year in 2021, he's got A listers in his portfolio. So, he's not a cheap name to book and I can see why the suits at BigHit thought he's the genius to gift them a song clinically designed for American radio.

But that pandejo phoned it in. There isn't a lick of creativity to be found anywhere in all 3 minutes and five seconds.

It reminds me of VIBE by Jimin and Taeyang, as the closest analog to the vague dissatisfaction morphing into annoyance and then pragmatic rationalization I experienced in that same sequence when listening to it the first few times.

The song is disappointing because we've all heard it before. Too many times, and we're bored of it. We've heard JK sing this sort of song for years, as covers mostly. So on one hand, while I guess it's nice JK gets to have an American summer JB-reject pop tune of his own, it's not good enough to be the track that introduces him to the world as a solo artist.

It's fine for any white, blonde, blue-eyed heartthrob that can ride on a pretty face and implicit bias to rack up accolades, it's not good enough for Jungkook.

And BigHit needs to start using whatever leverage a US$10.6 billion market capitalization buys you in Hollywood, to insist for songs that are at least as good as the songs made by BTS members and produced by their in-house team. It's a waste of money and everybody's time to fly a battalion to LA just to record 2014's summer hit in 2023.

All that said, I can't ignore JK has a taste for songs like this, and it's not his fault the song is shit (he didn't write, compose or produce it), so technically he shouldn't be punished for it. Now, I know there are still people who enjoy it, even enjoy the new things and are excited with each new release of the founders game chapters.

It's just, there's this lack of cohesion and planning in what we've gotten since TSE that is just. So strange. I would say it comes from ranboos perfectionism but everything that keeps coming out is half-baked shit that sure seems unfinished.

Like, the founders cut was so fucking unpolished which is insane for something that took over a year. And we can't try to make it an in-universe thing, be for fucking real. Ranboo wasn't thinking like that.

And ngl when ranboo was reacting to that fnaf timeline video and like, praised "community storytelling" (aka when u throw a bunch of shit out, seen fans theorizing and go "oh wait ahit that's smart, yeah that's what I meant haha") it just. Made me feel so defeated cuz that kind of storytelling isn't fucking good.

It works well enough for fnaf but that's cuz it's fnaf. Look at how little attention generation loss gets outside of its initial and constantly shrinking bubble.

Admittedly it was gonna always be hard to follow tse, those kinds of productions are pricy. No shit. But the next steps being:

1: Twitter acc that kept going on hiatus because ranboo hadn't even fully planned it out before ranboo just decided to scrap the Twitter acc and just vaguely promise zero will return somewhere else

2: a slapped together cut of tse that completely fails at being a quicker introduction to the series compared to watching the original streams that clearly doesn't understand any of the elements that made tse charming and enjoyable even if cringeworthy at times

3: a second person pov book disguised as a choose your own adventure where not a single choice has actually mattered, not even the ones that were voted on and had to wait a whole week to find out what happened next.

Is just kinda insane to me. Like idk how u fumbled it that hard.

Yall remember how ranboo gave us a generation 2 Spotify playlist? Oh or what about "generation 0: the story of lostfield" which they showed off the title card for at twitchcon and vidcon? Where the fuck is any news even about those. I'd at least like some clarification about if the founders game is tied to literally either of those.

"Letting ranboo cook" only for Tse to finally be what we got did work, but it just. Really doesn't feel like ranboo gets why tse worked for so many people. And no, it wasn't just the inclusion of other popular ccs although that did certainly help if we r being blunt.

Tse had a story that left you guessing what was intentional and what wasn't. Only for the final reveal to be that it all was intentional, it was us the audience that was being experimented on, being tested. And that was cool as shit!

But, nothing has been able to get even close to that yet. This newest chapter of tfg's did briefly give me an "oh shit" moment at the start. But then the chapter just. Went no where. It was empty. And now we have to wait another week for the payoff. Another week on top of 7/8/9 weeks.

And listen, I get good stuff takes time. I get that many other indie horror things go months without updating. But like. There's just nothing aside from a small sense of obligation and vague interest to see if it's finally interesting or if I'll just have something to complain about with my friends that keeps me coming back.

It's not engaging, it's not something I'm really all that invested in. I keep fucking forgetting every week that a new chapter is coming out cuz there's just nothing to be excited for.

A while ago Logan had accidentally stumbled across George furiously jacking off Alex in the Williams motorhome. The pair fervently tried to shoo him away– which, first of all, rude; the motorhome is a shared space for both drivers– and second of all, well…  Logan may have ended up having sex with them. Both of them. At the same time.  It was messy and rushed and hardly even sex at all, but since then, the two older men have been absolutely enraptured by the young American. “Guys,” Logan tried to interrupt, “guys!” He shouted, eventually finally catching both men's attention, “what is the point of this argument at all? The blanket on top of him seems to be the one he had seen thrown on the couch yesterday. It was soft– a dark navy with white threading frayed along the edges. It was obviously well loved, but it wasn't stringy or flattened; Logan clearly takes good care of it to balance out the overuse. There are loose smatterings of dog hair strewn over the surface of the fiber, embedded into the follicles, sticking out like fresh crops of black and brown grass; hints of a part of Logan's life he had never let Liam in on.

this is from my Liam/Logan fic (that I promise will be finished soon😭😭). I use a lot of figurative language in this fic specifically bcuz it's a lot more like... introspective than a lot of my other fics? but the visual of dog hair sticking out of the blanket like grass made me particularly teary and idk why😭😭 it's one of my favorite lines in the entire fic

77 - why do you enjoy writing fanfiction?

ohhh good question. I mean obviously as a form of creative expression but I feel like writing fanfic in particular is easier for me than just writing in general; I've always had a tricky relationship with creative expression because I have a hard time being artistic through typical means. Like, I can't just pick up a pencil and draw out an idea, it just wouldn't scratch it itch in my brain? I've always had to find more obscure forms of media to express myself in a way that feels satisfying. obviously writing and drawing are the big two main categories, but I can only ever express my creativity through hyper specific means of those forms, does that make sense?

I think I enjoy writing fanfic because it's creative, but in a more obscure way? it's about characters and people and it gives me a more strict guideline to follow so i don't get stuck on the tricky creative hurdles that make me lose motivation.

but I also enjoy writing fanfic because I know other people enjoy my work! not in a selfish way, but in the way of like... I'm providing content for a fanbase that other people consume. especially for like ships like sargebon or LiLo that are kind of more obscure; it makes me happy knowing im creating content for something that has a lack of it, if that makes sense?

ok so, canonical order of events: saskia (matriarch) and belialah (demon lord) meet, they establish an alliance, belialah does stuff for saskia. at some point, saskia starts amassing her generals (we'll get there) and chooses belialah. somewhere in here as well, saskia splits from the empire and starts doing her Evil Deeds for her Evil Plans. I'm not sure which of the last two came first. in either case, lost later meets belialah, we haven't seen her (physically) since (but that's not a good thing i don't think)

irl order of events:

Saskia throws a Fit, kills her nephew, and withdraws from the empire at large. we make fun of her because though she's the big bad, she's also weirdly wet and pathetic. we hate her. she's so sucks. and also so sexy. its bad

time goes by, things happen, eventually there's a big party with all the matriarchs!!! yaaaaay

lost and gilt go because ofc we do, and there's a big dance where everyone keeps changing partners. at the end of the dance, lost gets belialah

belialah's there, as you do, and saskia's there to talent scout from the pool of winners for her big evil plans. belialah's like "wtf is a stupid little mortal doing here why are you unaccosted where is your collar" kinda behavior and goes over there, they talk, they dance (also a ploy for power among demons, it's a sizing up thing instead of a fun thing), saskia reveals that she's got 1/8th of the power of a god in her soul and belialah's like "cool im fanatically devoted to you now i've never wanted to smash a mortal before can we make out"

How to be a Trans Guy and Sill Go Swimming

as a pre everything medical trans guy who has dysphoria and wants to be seen as a guy in public, swimming is scary.

so heres how I'm doing it this year after last year and the year befores (mildly painful) trial and error.

First off we got the tittys right? unless you have a waterproof binder of some kind, please dont swim in a binder!!

taping is always a good direction if you have tape and know what you're doing, but lots of people cannot afford trans tape. Please dont use duct tape!! it fucking hurts!! one method ive used to tape is with pads as they are stretchable, but they tend to not be sticky enough. also, absorbes water which we do not want when we are swimming

so if you cant tape and you dont have a waterproof binder, what are you supposed to do? this is the issue ive been tackling as a trans guy whos transitioning without being out to my parents and still under their roof.

alright so lets start going over ways ive gotten around it.

First, we have bra one size to small. 4/10. it either doesn't make your chest flat enough or suffocates you. nearly drowning because your bra got wet and shrunk and was already to small and now you're in the deep end of a lake and unable to breathe IS NOT FUN.

Second we got two bras that are the right size. 6/10. still not the greatest but amazing in a hurry and definitely better than nothing!! would definitely recommend, although it has a few minor kinks here and there (bras not overlapping properly, colourful patterns that dont look like skin, ect.)

so here is what I'm doing this summer.

im going to wear one bra that is a very thin material and im going to pull the elastic up and over the largest part of my bust. This ive prooved to be effective, alas it had a habit of moving around. This im solving with extra small safety pins. Then to fix the awkwardness of how that looks bt itself im wearing a skintone undershirt over that, which coveres my bust and stomach so it still counts as being "modest" despite also looking like im shirtless and flat from a distance. For bottoms i will just be wearing regular blue and green trunks. I haven't put all of it together yet, but i think it will work out really well and im excited.

Okay so you’re my Legend of Zelda person

How are you feeling about the Echoes of Wisdom announcement? Surprised? Excited? Eh? Did you like what you saw of the game? The art style? The Echo mechanic?

(Personally, I’m really looking forward to the game, and it’s looking like the twink will finally have to be saved this time.)

I haven't seen much of the trailer and don't know what the echo mechanic is, I only get game info through my partner that stays up until 3-4 am their time to watch the Nintendo directs and I prefer to find out about zelda games far after the community has discussed it or play it blind myself with trusty non spoiler guide site zeldadungeon.com, but I love that we're getting another game in the chibi links awakening style!! It's my favorite, and my old comfort object that I lost was an amiibo figure of links awakening link, so I really hope they make a figure of Zelda I can buy - my family pirated every amiibo for Zelda that was released up to botw and they're about the size of the first index of my thumb but having a full figure of a Zelda character would be nice again.

I am also really surprised about it, and having Zelda as a playable character is amazing again. I only know of 4 Zelda games that have had the goddess reincarnation herself be the protagonist, 3 of the games were most likely released in the OG Zelda/adventure of link titles era or around the oracle games based on the cartridge? Art I saw idk it might also be related to the PC quest games that came out around the same time which for reference is the uh. "eXCUSSEEE ME PRINCESS" one I think that's the thing it's well known for that is a whole different convo with a different blog i know nothing of the older titles except the basics. Anyway anyway I own the 4th game I know about that no one else mentions because it's technically not canon and is worse off than Hyrule warriors is but it's called cadence of Hyrule I think just search up "Crypt of the Necromancer Zelda" you'll find it and I did play through most characters campaign including Zelda's in that one, and think it's definitely worth mentioning due to how different Zeldas gameplay is to links. Uh anyway based on that game alone I have very high hopes for the gameplay of Zelda, as well as the thinks the higher ups at Nintendo said about sticking with botw/totks direction and play style.

Lastly I'll be honest with you im sleep deprived as shit cause emergency irl shit happened last night and I havent been sleeping well in general so I forgot my big thing i wanted to talk about in this segment but uh. Salvaged bits are yada yada Zelda mechanics parallels to other games more characterization more well written fanfics that aren't JUST skyward sword and botw for her etc etc based on how they handled princess peach showtimes characterization [which like. Honest to God really hard character to write in 2024 due to her roots being damsel in distress 101 and people tending to mostly correctly point at any pinky extra feminine girl and shout misogynistic] I really don't think Nintendo can fuck this up, and I am fully confident they won't fuck it up :].

Oh yeah actually I did like the little bit of the trailer I did see that link shot her free at the last second, showing he is still in character and they didn't shoehorn in an idea to have a female protagonist like other series would do, but that every side of the triforce is equally powerful. I expect this game to be like if links awakenings dungeon puzzles were used on the overworld, and based on another Tumblr post I saw there might be some diplomatic puzzles. Or at least dual sided quest lines

I've watched some &Team stuff and he's just so soft spoken and everything, and I just love it. Like tbh out of all of 02 line I'm like sorry Jake I love you, but like Euijoo though. If you haven't watched them yet, I encourage you to watch Under the Skin the extended version, since you know connects &Team and Enhypen's lore, and Scent of You just because it's my favorite mv of theirs. They don't have many music videos so it's not hard to watch them all at once, Firework, Road Not Taken, Under The Skin, Scent of You, and War Cry are all their mvs. I would definitely encourage you to watch the War Cry MV Shoot sketch too since it's great, like Yuma and Harua are arguing most of it and it's adorable, and K being the main character and all.

Honestly, I love how receptive you are to anyone sending you ideas or thoughts, like I've seen so many writers that it's their writing and they don't want others sharing ideas with them. But like I love sharing them with you, since I know so many times it might be something you just didn't think of, or might be something you thought about but were not sure how to fully do it, so like sharing ideas can be so helpful. Honestly, the kitchen scene was my favorite idea of them, like I am a sucker for a soft little kitchen scene, like one character just clinging onto the other as the other tries to navigate around the kitchen doing stuff.
