i do think peak comedy is a steve who is absolutely aware of the effect he has on people, but has never felt that way towards anyone else-- the closest he got was with nancy and robin, because he loved them both in different ways, and sometimes he felt like he was going to go insane if he didn't talk to them or touch them right now, but it was never like he had seen other people act about him. robin and nancy made him a better person. they didn't drive him to ridiculous levels of violence and obsession. maybe people in hawkins were just fucking weird.
and then he meets eddie, falls in love with eddie, and he's like... yeah, okay. alright. no, i get it. if anything happened to this guy i would steal the nuclear launch codes.

u know wot im gonna talk about attack the block. its a movie made cause the director was fed up of seeing 'hoodie horror' and charecters like Moses[played by John Boyega in his first acting credit], black kids who got involved in bad stuff/expelled from school beeing shorthand for 'pure evil'
he went around interviewing kids to get the language right and meet people like moses. heres the full quote: "We did find some who were quite similar to Moses, who’d been excluded from school or got involved with bad stuff. And they’re not monsters. They’re very empathic, and when you spend a bit of time with them they’re normal and sweet, enthusiastic and bright. But they’ve just been cornered a bit by life, and I think that often the way they’re portrayed doesn’t help with that. Culturally, it makes the problem worse, not better." from an artical in the list
its fun its heartbreking its political its alien designs are awsome and it shows people and community with love that are so often treated like shit when portrayed.

whoever is elected president of the United States will immediately become a war criminal upon being sworn in if they are not one already and captain america was already about nationalism and if you didn't notice the MCU being racist about arabs in the very first fucking iron man film WHICH WAS SPONSORED BY THE US MILITARY I simply do not know what to tell you and I'm going to dunk all of you into a big old bucket of ice until you are damp and chilly

just actually sobbed my eyes out over your “1634 is meant to be” post like they are my favourite platonic / hockey / best friend soulmates ever like they just fit together and they were meant be be in each other lives oh god i’m gonna cry again.
it's the fact that i think THEY believe that too based on all their little routines and habits tbh.... like we can all sit around and mash random hockey guys together like barbie dolls bc it's fun or whatever but auston and mitch .... they've tied themselves together.. their hockey play and their routines as players...... "so proud to be a part of this journey with you" like ????? matching number necklaces??????? auston saying he's never had chemistry like that with anyone and also that his achievements wouldn't be possible without mitch?????? like. on top of all the stuff i already named w the gloves and the warmups and handshakes and hanging out on the road liekfjds i just.
