I love jack so so much he's perfect but tbh I do think it would've worked much more with the show if he was a destiel baby instead of lucifer's. and I'm not just saying that as a shipper or whatever I mean narratively it would've been a lot cleaner- and actually, I think it would've been super funny to no-homo them creating a baby together, like, literally all they would have to do is say "oh, when cas rebuilt dean after hell he accidentally left some grace tangled in his soul, and every time he's healed him since then it's been growing stronger until a nephilim was born". like yes the studio is homophibic etc etc but all the jokes they'd make about dean being spiritually pregnant would be very funny for me personally.

but ANYWAY, jack's story gets messy and convoluted and I think this would've been like...a simple fix. them worrying about him going dark side could be because they're worried how demon!dean and lucifer!cas affected him in development, the show LOVES bloodline drama, chuck's wanting abraham and issac 2.0 would've worked better this way, dean's storyline with him would be improved, bc rather than 'oh no I slowly but surely emotionally adopted the antichrist' like I think he would've had an easier time clocking his john-behavoir if it wasn't a question whether he was jack's dad or not. plus last time dean actively raised a kid he went to great lengths to keep the supernatural away from him, so it'd be interesting to see how he handles a kid he CANT possibly hide from this part of his life. it would make more sense why michael wanted jack as a vessel- yes obviously he wanted the nephilim power boost but also having him as part of the winchester bloodline, making him a PERFECT vessel he doesn't have to worry about burning up would add a lot. we could also use this argument for why lucifer is so interested in him if anyone actually liked that plotline in season 14 lmao. we know chuck hated cas and dean's relationship, could you imagine if he checked in and found out they made an unauthorized baby together💀 like that really would've given better context for why he hates jack so much. cas wouldn't need that whole weird brainwashing arc to wanna protect unborn jack, PLUS it could've been an interesting source of angst for him- he feels like he's failed once again, creating an abomination and putting dean in danger, but also still loves jack immensely. it'd be so good! also imagine how fucking stressed out heaven would be to find out a mini castiel is on the way. they wouldn't even wanna exploit that kid for power they'd be preemptively treating the headaches they know they're gonna get lmfao.

also. the casting directors literally put jensen and misha into a face morph app and cast the first actor they could find that matched the results. which would've made more sense if,,,,he was just Theirs. the comedy of dean and cas making a baby before either of them managed to admit their feelings to each other would be more fun then the "dude adopted a kid and pawns him off on his unwilling roommate's all the time and they eventually warm up to the kid" storyline we actually got. we also could've replaced some of the jack-dean angst from the show with "dean wants to connect more with jack but he feels shut out whenever cas is around bc he can't relate to any angel stuff so obviously jack's going to cas for help more!", which I think would be interesting!! how AWFUL dean and cas would feel that jack didn't feel safe enough to be a baby. dad!sam is still in full swing but he cares for jack right off the bat instead of trying to use him for his powers at first. lily sunder talking about how cas killed her kid bc he thought it was a nephilim and dean, who's already fully aware he's (spiritually) knocked up by cas is like 👹 inch resting cas-tee-elle tell me more. mary having a 'my baby has a baby' crisis. cas insisting jack looks nothing like him is a running joke but then at some point he explains its bc jack's 'true form' looks just like dean's soul....

ALSO- in a show where, canonically, the very first act of free will was cas falling in love with dean...the physical manifestation of that defeating chuck and taking his place as god? come ON.

personally, the most fascinating thing is how our sibling relationships effect us lol. like honestly i meet someone and i can tell if they have siblings or not and if they do, whether they’re first-born, middle, or youngest bc when you know what to look for it’s SO obvious and i just think that’s crazy?? i mean it makes sense but like,? yeah idk it’s fascinating to me haha

oh I absolutely love your take on this! I wholeheartedly agree with that; having an older sibling and I have seen that they are extremely goal oriented and a perfectionist, and they are extremely independent. Whilst me, not only being the youngest in my house, but also in my near family, I have grown up being extremely coddled. Like, extremely. I can't even stress how pampered I have been, and because of that, I have a tendency to always require reassurance. I know for a fact when I'll be in a relationship, I'll always bother my partner asking, "you still like me right?", "we're okay, yeah?" 💀 Which I also do in friendships, like the second I feel like a nice friendship is getting sour because of a small argument or something, I'll be like, "wait, you're not angry with me right? We're not ending this here right?" I don't know much about middle siblings because I haven't seen any, to be honest. My family has a lot of only children and two sibling pairs, but no more than that, which is weird now that I think about it LOL

anyways, if I had to answer that question, I would 100% say, love. The way people love and wish to care for others is just so so fascinating to look at. It's the small gestures of love for me, always. I've seen it in my parents; one night my mom was talking about something funny that happened at work and my dad was just watching her with a smile on his face as she eagerly explained the funny situation. It's such a small thing, but it impacted me so deeply I cannot explain. Like, he's so so in love with her, he loved watching her laugh and explain the situation and how it unfolded. And not only just relationships, the love we hold for friends, siblings, heck our favorite books, movies, albums. The human heart really loves with all its might 🥹

27. Who is the most stressful character you have written and why?

Jigen stresses me out. Constantly. I think I write him as more combative and stubborn than most people do and hes constantly making The Wrong decisions. I worry sometimes about making him too much of an asshole but thats also why I love writing him so much so. What can u do eh?

Also idk if this counts bc hes in an unpublished chapter but LUPIN THE SECOND my god. It's hard to write a villain without them coming off as completely one dimensional and its been one of the reasons a chapter of a certain fic has been delayed until further notice.

I uhhh know too much about rabbits, I know how to cook and paint, i have borderline encyclopedic knowledge of the pokemon video games, i have some knowledge about animals and sea life that ive internalised from david attenborough.

Goemon's attention is elsewhere, however. He watches the gulls wheel and cry, tumbling and soaring again like paper kites in the strong winds. Jigen might be speaking again but the wind whips his words away, just like his own fleeting thoughts. He watches some men working on a small fishing trawler, the bigger ships in the distant coming and going. The gangs could already have eyes watching them.  "Hey, Earth to Goe?" Jigen snaps, "I asked you something." "What?" Goemon mutters, pushing his hair behind an ear as the wind whips it painfully across his cheeks. Jigen rolls his eyes as he clamps a hand on his hat to keep it on, "Whether you're planning on dipping on us again like you did on our bank job in Chiba?"

Funny thing about this whole setup; this scene is OLD. I actually repurposed this from a totally unrelated fic that existed around the time I was writing Jigen's Last Stand but actually might have predated that. I was going to repurpose it again as a sequel but well.... you guys know what followed that fic.

I think in both of my old drafts Goemon was a bit more cozy towards Jigen and went to go chase after his hat more because he wanted to be helpful rather than Jigen just being careless. I dropped the fic originally because I couldnt for the life of me think of a plot and now i have! It only took me what, a year or so? Lol

- ok so i think how he reacts to an anxious person that he cares about depends on where you're at in the relationship,, which might be kinda a 'duh' but it needs to be said for how im setting this up lol

- bc if he's kinda just starting to figure out his feelings, i think he'd be so surprised by how much he cares that he has to hold back his immediate reactions, bc he may have his faults but he's def protective once he realizes something is affecting/hurting the person he sees as the sun

- that protectiveness stems from wanting to be what makes you happy, he wants to feel like he's your shelter so that he feels like he's good enough for you. He wants you to be happy so he can feel your warmth but he also really wants the redemptive feeling that comes from knowing that he's your protector in a way.

- he wants to protect and make you happy so bad, sometimes you need to be like 'umm...i really appreciate that you want to torture the person that bumped into me a little too hard on a bad day,, but maybe let's not??' especially if you are still in that phase where he kinda scares/intimidates you bc you know him more as the General

- not only are his more over the top reactions a little scary bc you don't want to offend him by not wanting to talk about it to avoid blowing the situation up,, they're also confusing

- bc you had no idea he cared if you lived or died let alone cared if you were nervous or not?? but sometimes it makes you feel really comforted, bc if someone as hardened as the darkling can care that much about how youre feeling than you can't be as awful as you're feeling

- and it's also comforting bc he's clearly strong and powerful and when he puts a hand on your shoulder and stares at you like you're the only tangible thing in the world and telling you that he's not going to let anything happen to you,, the rational part of your anxiety is appeased to say the least.

- alright but that's at like the first stage of the relationship for him, bc i feel like he def has like twenty stages he goes through before finally being in a committed relationship bc even though he wants an attachment and love so badly bc he hates his eternal loneliness, he has a lot of layers to work through before he feels secure enough in you as a person to risk vulnerability

- so if he's at the point where he's accepted what he feels for you,, but has yet to really act on it, this is where he starts to give himself away a little

- like you'll mention being stressed about training in the Little Palace, or not getting along with someone and he immediately jumps to encouraging you. It's kinda funny bc at first he seems like he's just trying to be a supportive pal bc at this point ur sorta friendly (at least more friendly than anyone else is with the darkling) but then he kinda losses himself in talking about how amazing you are.

- and if youre feeling anxiety/bad bc of someone in particular, you better not mention their name unless you're 100 percent sure you're furious at them.

- sometimes it causes some strain bc you don't necessarily want him to get involved, and he's not above lowkey guilting you into telling him the full story, but it's not really intentional. He just starts talking about how much trust he puts in you and you just let the little things go after making him promise to leave things alone.

- if your anxiety is general,, or just bc of a. bunch of little things and he's at a point in which he's accepted how much he cares about you but has not told you yet,, he'll try to hide how soft he feels, but sometimes he slips up.

- honestly, i wouldn't be surprised if a really big relationship milestone came from that.

- like you crying one night and the darkling finding you, and then him taking you back to your room and promising to stay so that you don't have to feel alone and then the next morning you wake up and he's holding you

- at first ur like ?? but he acts so normal you're like maybe that can be platonic? but then it starts happening more and more and neither of you mention it and then when you two finally do get together youre like 'ohh? im stupid'

- and if your anxiety comes from your worry about him?? wow--he'll have to stop himself from kissing you

- this is a man who is so used to being hated/feared that the concept of someone worrying about him so much they physically don't feel well?? that would hit him STRAIGHT in the chest, and he'd be so quick to pull you to him, and then you'd be like--are you ok??

- wouldn't be surprised if that's how you found out he had feelings for you,, like he'd say something like "i didnt know the brightest star in the sky could want to protect the darkness instead of banish it. You're the brightest light I've ever known, it was more than enough for me that you weren't repulsed by my darkness...and now..."

- anyways,, if you were already established together and you were anxious, he would have no need to hold back

- if he notices your hesitant to let him 'help' he might do a thing or two to reduce sources of your stress without telling you...which sometimes leads to you getting a little mad, but depending on how extreme his actions were, he normally smoothes it over quickly

- i mean,, it's just how he shows that he cares, he's never had someone that could snap their fingers and get rid of his adversaries or reschedule a thing or two to make his life easier

- he sees no harm in it,, and even though sometimes other people may give you a bit of a hard time bc of his evident favoritism,, you know it just means he cares

- if he goes really far, you're more willing to be mad at him, but honestly when youre upset all you want is to be near him bc there's nothing more comforting,, so you agree to hold off on arguing lol

- i mean there are always lines that get crossed, so there are times he cant charm himself out of your anger, but the longer youre together the more he tries to hold off on doing things that make you really angry,, unless he feels like the person really hurt you, then nothing can stop his anger

- if youre actually together he's much more quick to comfort you physically if youre feeling really anxious,, he'll kiss you everywhere until he's all you can think about, which works for when your anxious over small things

- if your problem is larger, he cant exactly kiss it away though i cant say that doesnt help but it's still comforting and relaxing bc duh,, so i feel like he's really touchy if youre upset

- kissing sometimes leads to other stuff,, but that should be its own fic/headcanon bc i have a secret head cannon that feeling needed or like the only one his partner has is a turn on for him bc it returns some of the power he feels like he gives up by letting his partner care about him

- might have to write that fic now that im thinking about it....

- if youre so anxious you dont want to be touched, it'll be a little harder for him, but if he reaches for you and you back away he'll try to talk you down and remind you that he's not going to let anything happen and as long as he's breathing he'll make sure you're okay

- if youre officially together and youre anxious about something small, he's actually surprisingly nice to talk to,, before you were close you felt like you were bothering him with small, insignificant things,, but once you know that he cares about you he's a patient listener bc he likes being really present with you when he can bc he's busy so often

- sometimes if youre worried or upset he jumps to anger towards the object of your distress before comfort, but once youre at the dating part, you know that that's just how he is, and anger is how he shows love in a way?? lol, so you just have to clearly tell him that you'd rather him stay with you then rush out and like smite someone, he'll stop and comfort you

- sometimes how much he cares makes him angry at himself bc he begins to question if he'd pick you/your happiness over his goal, if he can't convince himself that you'd never get in the way of that, he gets a little cold until he feels assured in his loyalties or at least assured in the fact that your happiness would never conflict with his goals

- that can happen at any point in your relationship,, i feel like it'd happen more when he's unsure about his feelings bc seeing how much he cares about someone that's nothing to him makes him want to banish his nerves

- overall though,, once he cares about you, whether he's fully accepted it or not, he'd burn the world down to make you feel okay again,, or stay in bed with you for awhile, or both--whatever you want, really

I really like the new event for a couple different reasons but specifically how it's low risk high reward. I mean all the characters involved got a moment of more clarity and depth and there was no pressing danger, only curiosity and in Xingqiu and Albedo's case, the need to complete their respective projects on time.

Yae Miko was really funny!! She was clever the entire time, from commissioning just the right person, to motivating her workers, to helping Klee publish her story while also ensuring future business with Albedo, to entertaining Ei by sending her a doll of herself, to getting her amusement from gossip with Venti and teasing Gorou. She very much showed how tenacious she was, it was really entertaining to see her outside of Inazuma and outside of Ei.

Albedo & Klee are a pair bc ofc they are, who do you think I am? Albedo's parts were SO good!! In case anyone forgot what it meant for him to be the Captain of the investigation team of the knights!! He was well-spoken, well informed, and he was more than capable of both solving the mystery and completing his commission. We saw exactly why Albedo is a Captain and his qualifications, but we also saw his love for Klee. He told her stories on the way, let her run around, and made sure she was safe with trustworthy people in every scene they were together. For her part, Klee was very respectful towards Inazuman culture and she was also mindful of Albedo's responsibility. She tells any and everyone who asks about how much she loves Albedo. They are. very very good siblings. I love them

Venti, as usual, was my personal favorite bc ofc he was!! how could he not be!! his role was very much observer and,, advisor? in a way?? Venti was there to lead us along to ensure we pieced together the puzzle. This is almost confirmed every other scene, where he advises Albedo to hold up on painting the next subject as there might be more to learn, when he brings us the news that the "thief" was found, when he was "coincidentally passing through" when Ayaka found her page and brought her over, when he encourages us to check on Kazuha, but most damningly, when he tells the traveler not to worry so much bc Kazuha could handle the news he would find, saying "I've lived a long time now, so you could say I have some experience in reading people." I wonder if he already knew how the story went, whether bc he was awake when it went down or bc he just Knows these kinda things

Yoimiya was interesting!! I didn't realize just how often she relied on fireworks for her sense of identity and happiness? She was very upset about not being allowed to fire any, but perhaps it was because it was a festival and she wasn't part of its events, so she felt a little helpless? Her scenes both showed her as a good friend to the children, but also very responsible! She did not allow any of the children feel responsible for her feelings, she steered Klee around to appropriate content, picked up on what she was hinting at (I wonder if Dodoco is bored... = I'm bored of this), and then being so determined to make sure she had a good experience! Her comments about her dad forgetting to take her to the festival of her youth was a good example of a causal parenting mistake, which happens sometimes!! She is surprisingly well written, her story was wonderful

Kujou Sara probably had the best part ironically, considering everytime we saw her she was working and stressed. So first of all, I think her in the beginning just showed how dedicated she was to her career and how badly she wanted to do right by the shogun. I also like how her character's portrayal was sm different than it was during the archon quests, it felt like it was fleshing her out.

Xingqiu, my beloved, was wonderful. In the beginning, his character seemed to be comedic relief? Like let's all laugh at silly Xingqiu, his handwriting is shit and he read books instead of practicing calligraphy. I'd like to think that this Xingqiu, clever, just, hard-working, is the one his friends know him for. He left early on a trip he had to beg for in order to help Onodera. His all-nighters and complaints reminded the audience that he's still a younger character, or perhaps more telling, he's the youngest of his family. this is also seen by how quickly he was to show his admiration towards Albedo, which was so sweet. He was very quick to fall into his business lingo and almost seemed to try and impress Albedo? It makes me wanna write a fic for them having that brotherly relationship. plus I thought it was really funny how he had obscure rich people knowledge bc he has obscure rich people books, he's such a nerd.

Itto always makes me so happy, he's such a delight. He gave us so many character details and I doubt he noticed at all. Firstly!!! He loves his gang sm, he was going to bat for their entertainment and then they went to bat for him for his honor, I love them. He's also creative!! Or at least has the spirit considering he wanted to write for the festival and then wanted to make a poster. And then, when we suggest a dual, he tries to let Thoma down easy by giving it a low rating without saying that was a low rating. ALSO??? idk if yall noticed but he would periodically stop his work to point towards the next task for the traveler and that was so sweet. He was enthusiastic, he was loud, and he was unapologetic. Literal king shit, I loved his quest sm

Thoma showed up and showed off tbh, this was a CLEAR example of "show, don't tell" as he casually shows up to fix the Arataki Gang situation. He was charismatic, flattering, and his solution was phrased exactly in a way that Itto would be receptive to despite the disinterest in the task suggested. Thoma showed us exactly why he was called the fixer, and this piece of his character is something he takes pride in. He got very little screentime, but what he did get supported the things we've heard about his character in passing. Very good Thoma moment <3

Kaedehara Kazuha is very interesting!! I think that his character, while unrealistic, was very consistent. He values honor, integrity, and justice. He is driven, and yet he is a loner. I was incredibly fascinated with how he responded to Kujou Sara for the first time in peace, how he didn't accept her apology nor did he care to hear it, but asks her to sell all his possessions. This was incredibly fitting for his character and shaping his identity as a nomad even further, but it felt unreal as a response, especially considering the timing. I don't exactly understand why he didn't wish to keep anything fond and I don't think it's very realistic for him to have that detached acceptance towards his trauma (witnessing his friend's death, leaving his home) so early. However, Hoyoverse also likes to dump trauma on characters and then just move on, so it's not on him.

Kamisato Ayaka was very sweet I think, this event really showed how invested she was in both her family's honor and her duty as part of the Yashiro Commission. She was independent, she was resourceful, and she was irreplaceable. Miss Girl showed up last bc if she didn't the mystery would have been solved quicker. She had the Kaedehara family secrets, she knew about the historical significance of both the vanishing ink and who could use it AND she understood the story of the five kasen before it was explained. As expected of the face of the Yashiro Commission, her part, much like Thoma's, showed her competency. It also gave her a chance to make friends!! Ik with Venti and Kazuha's intentionality + Xingqiu and Albedo's hospitality, she must have felt so included and welcome to the group. She probably was doing the most to kinda earn that friendly attention given her lack of peer relations.

Raiden Ei admittedly was involved just a little bit, however the crumbs we did get were very interesting because they all gave clues to her new involvement with Inazuma in a general sense!! we all agree that things got so bad bc she was stuck in her grief and mourning process, but this event proves that she continues to go out and learn about her people presently, strolling through the city and interacting with things that catch her attention!! she was also perceptive enough to realize that Sara was embarrassed and had enjoyed the doll, so she gave the one she had away under the guise of it being the traveler's idea. she's getting better i suppose.

Sayu ... didn't get too much tbh. It doesn't particularly help that she's still just a kid I suppose, but her piece was about how she handled her job. The thing is that she has the necessary intent but she's too lethargic to follow through. This event made me a little worried for her health tbh. Anyways the thing that stuck out to me the most was that she was willing to give up her entire month's salary to fix her mistake.

Kamisato Ayato was just there to look pretty. I mean that final conversation with him was literally the most influential part about him. I didn't wish for him, and his story quest wasn't too interesting, so his characterization is iffy and I don't understand him, but I respect that the riddles were there as a fail safe considering that Kazuha could only find the answers if he was both clever and willful enough to handle it. I think Ayato was clear in his intent to protect against any sensitive information leaking by handling it in this way, bc only that specific group of people could figure him out.

Gorou's whole part was. a lot like his hangout actually. Gorou in Shogun's Inazuma, gathering materials for Watatsumi Island's development, avoiding Yae Miko, and trying to earn Kokomi's further approval. Actually, it reminds me of Thoma's piece now that I type it out. It was straight-forward, simple, and admittedly entertaining.

Sangomiya Kokomi, as expected of the head priestess, was incredibly diplomatic. I want to highlight how well she knows her company at any given time she's on screen. She knows that the famed traveler, beloved of all, is good to be around, that there is no negative consequences about them going with her to meet her penpal. She knows that Gorou is uncomfortable around Yae Miko and she didn't really want to bring him bc of that, so she prepared a list of things for him to do so he wouldn't be around Yae or feel like he was failing her. She returned every bit of the energy Yae gave her, and she was polite but not kind. I also think it's interesting for her to go to Ritou as her arrival, and also the fact there's a Watatsumi store there, implies that Watatsumi is a separate nation from Inazuma. Just another reminder of Inazuma's fucked up politics

Scaramouche was incredibly interesting to me, which he always is, but this event gave us many things to think about. Firstly, if yall haven't read the husk of dreams artifact lore, I'll tell you rn that those stories are about him and his first human friends. So he meets Kaedehara's ancestor, he recognizes the facial features and asks if the name "Niwa" meant anything, it does, and Scaramouche replies "tell her my name is kunikuzushi". Niwa was the surname of one of his old friends that he swore vengeance on, but I don’t know who the "her" that the Kaedehara ancestor should have told his name to. Additionally, when we speak to Albedo about the portrait, he says that he went to speak to someone he knew for inspiration and we replied that's mysterious/suspicious, which Albedo laughs off. It would make sense for Albedo and Scaramouche to know each other considering the puppet making process Ei used was one that Rhinedottir created. (I think the exact wording was an ancient art from that cursed place). We are learning more about him.

"Yeah, I'm good. Just distracted thinking my thoughts." You smiled at him and leaned against him. He looked down at you and pecked your lips. You gave him a sweet kiss back. The smile he gave you made your heart boom. Loving him was as easy as eating a cake (because the usually analogy 'baking a cake' isn't true, its sometimes hard to bake a cake, especially when a hungry streamer keeps trying to eat the batter or start a flour fight).

Okay, granted, you were the one to remind him that he was streaming with his friends today and speedrunning, but you didn't expect it to last well over five hours. At the beginning you worked on your classwork for your [college degree of choice]. You got it done quickly, as it was nearing the end of the semester and most professors of yours were laidback and wanted you to study more than write nonsense papers (fictional you, i'm so jealous). Occasionally you would jump in fear when you heard Dream shout, still not used to it after years.

After finishing your classwork, you started cooking dinner. Soup was the vibe for the evening, and you had found a wonderful chicken and dumplings recipe a while ago that you wanted to try. You did have to go to the store for some of the ingredients, but luckily it only took you an hour. You can back and he was still streaming. It took about another hour for dinner to be done. You let it cool and prepared yourself a bowl. You set your laptop up and started watching Dream's stream. Hearing his voice made you miss him, so you pulled out your phone.

Going to the two of y'alls messages, you started making him a voice message.

"Hey baby, I made dinner, so don't play so long it gets cold. I love you! Kick the enderdragon's ass baby! Mwah."

You continued watching him stream, and he took a pause for a minute, his screen not moving from the create a new world screen and his mic muted. A couple seconds later you got spammed with every heart offered in the emoji index times what felt like a thousand.

He continued being quiet for a couple seconds, although he did unmute and continue playing, answering George's and Sapnap's questions of where he went with, "I had to take a message."

He was your guy, and he promised himself to you, but sometimes he seemed to have a genuine connection with some of the sweeter and not gross ones. It made you scared that someone, one day, will swoop him off his feet with a comment and he’d leave you for them.

The stream ended a little under an hour later. Dream left his recording room, grabbed a bowl of soup, and found you in the living room, lost in thought. He plopped down right next to you.

“About what?”

“Anything and everything.”

“Okay.” You’re quiet for a bit, despite his offering of listening. He knew you were gonna take him up on the offer, you just needed a bit of time, so he was going to wait patiently. He finished his soup quickly, he was much hungrier than he thought. He put the bowl on the coffee table and before he was all the way leaned back on the couch, you were leaning against him. His arms wrapped around you, your head was tucked in between his head and shoulder, and a blanket covered the both of you. You looked towards the blank tv screen but felt his eyes on you.

“I love you a lot. And I know you love me too, but I’m afraid I’m not enough. You have so many options, especially with your popularity online. I don’t know what I’d do if you left me, whether it be for someone else or just because you’re tired of me.” Dream waits for you to stop entirely, with you breathing heavily.

“Well, you’re right about one thing. I do love you, a lot. The rest of it is wrong and I’ll spend the rest of time telling you so.” Dream says, pressing several kisses against your forehead.

As much as Dream loved you and reassured you, sometimes he would get caught up in his thoughts too. The life of a streamer/youtuber, especially one with as much fame and subscribers as him, was rough. The constant need to feed his fans with entertainment and content, and the need for the content to satisfy his fans was stressful. He hates to admit it, but he some days he spent to much time working and not enough with you. He thinks you would be so much happier with someone without a tight schedule and without a large, intense fanbase. Any random person on the street would be better for you than him, he thinks. 

When he gets into this headspace, the only thing that grounds him is your lips on his. When you kiss him, the clouds go away and all he can see is your eyes, as bright as the sun, and your smile, which can tempt even the purest.

Now, everyone knows that Dream likes some attention. He especially likes attention from you. Good thing is you also like attention, especially from him. The not so good thing is both of y’all get distracted so bad, it’s almost too funny.

He tends to get your attention by tickling you, whether it be in the comfort of your home or in public. One day, when you guys were walking through town, you stopped at a flower booth and got to talking with the friendly and flirty florist gentleman. It had been a couple minutes, and Dream was really needing some love, but you continued chatting with the florist who was definitely going to ask for your number but you genuinely thought he was just being nice. Dream crept up behind you and placed his hands on your side. You froze for a moment and looked at him, confused. The smirk that crossed his face barely gave you a second to prepare as he tickled your sides. Your laughter filled the street as you turned around as he tickled you. You wrapped your arms around his neck, which got him to stop ticking you, and gave him a kiss. The two of you continued on your way, attached at the hip.

And one day, when you wanted his attention, it was after he was done recording a manhunt with his friends. The actual video had been done for a bit, but they were just fucking around in the minecraft world and talking to each other. You had had a not so nice day, and wanted the crushing weight of your boyfriend on top of you. You crept into his recording room and came to stand right behind his chair. Based on the conversation you could tell he wasn’t recording anymore, so you knew it was safe. Your hands started in his hair, trailed down to his face, and slid down his body till your arms were wrapped around him snuggly. Your head was placed on top of his. 

“What are you doing?” he asked, and received no response. Instead, you began aggressively shaking him and the chair, turning it this way and that, making him slightly dizzy. His laughter filled the room, and he quickly ended the call. The two of you spent the next 12 hours cuddled in bed, leaving only for the necessities.

Dream got jealous as well sometimes. You were beautiful and a lot of the time attracted the attention of random passerbyers. Those people, who you don’t even know, who lived normal lives where they didn’t have to spend every second worried that their face will be revealed to the public and suddenly all their fans from around the world will know what they look like or the general area in which they live, who don’t have to obey algorithms and bend to the will of the masses to make sure they get paid enough to live, who could give you a normal and safe life. Every time one looked at you with some attraction, he pulled you a bit closer and kissed you a bit harder.

Sometimes, Dream needed to rant. A long, hard, intense, rant. Sometimes it was about how someone accused him of cheating his speedruns. Sometimes it was about how someone said something nasty to him or one of his friends. Sometimes it was about a comment someone made about him or you that got on his nerves. When he needed to talk, you sat there and you listened. You did whatever he needed to get better, whether it was just listen or talk to find solutions. You did it because you know he would do the same for you. And afterwards, a cuddle session was a must.

You walked into the building vigorously, a smile never leaving your lips. You went into the room a receptionist showed you and looked around. There was a large table in the middle of it. Small cards with actors' names on them were laying on it in front of freshly-printed script copies. A couple of people were bustling around the room, preparing water and coffee for the celebrities.

It was your first proper acting job, aside from a couple of small gigs and a few high school plays you did as a teenager. But it wasn't just some random movie no one would ever hear of. You have been granted a part of Gwen Stacy - Peter Parker's new love interest - in the new Spiderman production. It was one of the most awaited movies, which put you under a lot of pressure. Not wanting to be remembered as 'the one that is always late', you arrived twenty minutes earlier than you were supposed to be. Much to your surprise, you saw another woman already sitting in her place. She was sipping her coffee and reading her script. There was something familiar about her, but you couldn't quite put your finger on it. You walked over to her, debating in your head whether you should start a conversation or leave her alone. Finally, you decided to introduce yourself.

'Hi' you said, sticking your right hand out and smiling. 'I'm (Y/N).'

She looked up at you over her glasses and shook your hand, returning your smile.

'Hey, (Y/N)' she said, blushing slightly. 'I'm Zendaya, but you can call me Z.'

'Oh, that's where I know you from!' you exclaimed loudly. She gave you a puzzled look. Oh, great. You just made yourself look like a total idiot, you thought. 'It's just that I knew you looked familiar, but I didn't know why. Now I do. Shake It Up!' you tried to explain yourself. You fully expected Zendaya to make fun of you, but she only sent you a warm smile.

'I would have dressed up if I knew I would be meeting a fan' her eyes lit up, as she joked.

You sat down in your seat, which happened to be situated right next to hers. She offered you a cookie from a bag that was laying right in front of her. You ended up talking with her the whole time and quickly found out you had a lot in common. During the table read you exchanged funny remarks and jokes, which made you look like a pair of giggly high school students. The director and writers had to shush you all the time because you were making each other laugh so hard it was almost impossible to calm you down. Even though you two had just met, her close presence made you feel less stressed about working for Marvel.

'You're staring again' said Tom to Zendaya, approaching her. They had become very close friends during the production thanks to their similar age. Z snapped out of her thoughts, realizing that she had been, in fact, staring at you for a very long time. She blushed and turned her head to Tom, tearing her eyes away from you. 

'No, I'm not' she shook her head, playfully pushing her friend away, even though her red face seemed to be telling a different story. 

Tom sighed in disbelief. How could you be so oblivious to Zendaya's constant looks and shy flirting? Everybody on set knew that she had a huge crush on you from day one. And it would take an idiot not to realize that you are bisexual. Anyone could sense that from the distance, due to your always cuffed pants and longing looks you sent towards Z. 

'Geez, Zendaya, her eyes are practically never leaving you! Yesterday she walked into a pole because she couldn't stop staring at you in that summer dress' Tom said, waving his hands around and almost hitting an extra, that was just passing by, in the face.

'For the last time, Tom, she does not like me like that! And I don't like her like that either. We're just friends!' she exclaimed, blushing even harder at his comment. 

'All right then' he said. 'She's a really pretty girl and if you don't ask her out in the next thirty seconds, I will!

Zendaya opened her eyes in shock. She tried to argue, but Tom just pointed at his watch and whispered 'Thirty seconds, Z'. She moved towards you, still glaring at Tom and flicking him off. Her heart was beating rapidly when she approached you, smiling.

'Oh, hey Z!' you returned her smile, which made her melt instantly. 'What are you up to?'

Zendaya couldn't help but stare at you for a few seconds, before replying. What could she do, though? To her, you were the epitome of perfection.

'Ermm..., nothing really' she giggled nervously, feeling Tom observe her from the distance. 'What about you, (Y/N)?'

'Honestly, nothing either' you laughed.

Zendaya nodded. This is it, she thought.

'Would you, maybe, want to go get ice cream with me later?' she took a deep breath, waiting for your reply.

'Yeah, sure!' you said enthusiastically. 'Who else is coming?' you asked.

Zendaya blushed and looked down at her shoes. 

'Well, I was kinda hoping it would be just the two of us. Like a date' she whispered, too embarrassed to look you in the eyes. With her heart beating in her chest, she waited for your reply.

After a solid minute of processing what she just said, you slowly smiled and took Zendaya's hands in yours. Getting on your tiptoes, you pressed a chaste kiss to her cheek.

'It's a date, then' you whispered, leaving her speechless.

I'm always game to talk abt things they do to make the other smile!! One I think about all the time is the simple act of getting things for each other? Maybe sometimes before they even realize they want said thing, or that they need said thing. As you've mentioned b4 I do think Adam has one of those lavender-scented stuffed animals that you can put in the microwave (I have!! the celebration bear one, who naturally is named Lawrence bc he's blue... and uh... I associate teddy bears. w him) and sometimes, when Adam is doing poorly and has gone nonverbal, Lawrence will just be like "Oh! I know what might help!” so he’ll grab the husky from the bedroom (got Rlly attached to that idea when you mentioned it <33) and pop it in the microwave for a minute, rounding back to the couch to hand Adam one of his shirts to snuggle in and a kiss on the forehead. When he gets Adam’s husky from the microwave and hands it to him, Adam just kinda has a moment like oh... I didn’t even have to ask... and he smiles, for the first time that day, and honestly? It rlly does help, to have someone who knows what might comfort you/knows what types of things do, and who just. Does those things when you need them, sometimes without prompt. It’s an intimate kind of knowledge, and it makes Adam feel all warm on the inside.

Another good example of this is Adam making sure Lawrence has his cane while he's walking around the apartment, esp those first few months when he's just getting used to using it - because he's still learning + trying to get used to walking with his (properly fitted) prosthetic, he often left the cane in random places because Adam would often offer his arm if Lawrence needed it (which, again, took some time for him to be okay with, but Adam always tells him it's okay to need help sometimes), and it would frustrate him because he'd be sitting on the couch like "I. I don't know where I put it." but Adam will be like "It's okay, I know where it is!" and it's as simple as that! Lawrence can't help but smile when Adam hands it to him because Adam just. He gets how hard it is. It's so simple to Adam but to Lawrence it means a whole lot. <3

Something else is that Lawrence will remind him to eat. I've touched on this a little bit b4, but Adam has issues with food that extend past textures and tastes and such - his eating is very disordered, and has been since childhood. He doesn't eat three meals a day, sometimes he hardly eats anything at all (usually the bare minimum that will allow him to take his medications without getting sick), he tends to gravitate towards snacks/easy foods that aren't necessarily super healthy, and combined with him already being underweight + having spent the last seven or eight years since leaving his parents' place at 18 getting by on very little, it causes him frequent dizzy spells/fainting episodes. It also takes him a while to realize that hey, I don't have to spread my meals out anymore, I don't have to worry about getting food, and I don't have to feel guilty about eating when I'm hungry. I think Lawrence is a very observant person by nature, and while he might not understand it fully right away, I think he'd definitely realize that some of these issues are tied to the state of the apartment he'd seen only once + Adam's life from before.

So he doesn't force him to eat, obviously, because that doesn't work and helps no one, but he will definitely be like "Hey, I know you're not feeling great today, but why don't I grab you a granola bar or something? We have those oranges you like too. I just want to make sure you don't give yourself a headache or get sick." and admittedly Adam is. Not used to that kind of regard whatsoever. But it feels so much easier to at least eat something small when he knows Lawrence sees him, understands that it's hard and isn't forcing anything out of him. I do think that once they settle into a routine after moving in together, some of that becomes a little bit easier because hey, he's not living paycheck to paycheck, he doesn't have to survive off of ramen and monster energy, he's allowed to eat and not worry about what happens after. The stress of worrying about groceries is definitely nonexistent with Lawrence, and that takes so much weight off of Adam's shoulders; not to embtion the fact that Lawrence is also conscious about his same foods, and makes sure they've always got some in the kitchen. It's not easy, but having someone care about him so much, someone who wants to make sure he's eating right and caring about him like that always makes Adam smile a little bit.

For Lawrence, I think a big thing is just like... seeing Adam hanging out with Diana? There's nothing that will put a smile on his face faster than coming home from work to find the two of them in the living room, a Disney movie (or The Princess Bride!) playing in the background while Diana paints Adam's nails bright glittery blue and pink, because she wanted to practice patterns and she really likes the glitter. Her nails are already painted black with a glitter coat on top - "Adam's nails always look so pretty like that, and he said maybe I couldn't do full black, so he put glitter on them too!" - and he's sitting there, hand spread out on the coffee table while they both sit on the floor, talking about anything and everything that pops into Diana's head, and Lawrence just kind of stands there and watches for a little while. His two favourite people, relaxing together, enjoying each other's company. Adam turns around and Lawrence has always got this huge grin on his face, just like, "Oh, don't mind me. What was it you were talking about, Diana?" which of course prompts her to jump up to give him a huge hug, but after that she's right back to painting Adam's nails, and Lawrence is more than content to just sit in and listen. (He also absolutely adores finding Adam reading to her before bed, because he does voices and everything. He gets a little bit embarrassed about it at first, but once he sees Lawrence watching them with the most loving look he thinks he's ever seen, he just blushes, smiles back, and continues. Sometimes Lawrence joins in, but not always, because then it becomes a competition of voices and they'll never get Diana to bed if she's laughing too hard!!)

Another is that Adam is really good at pulling him out of his own head. He can usually tell when Lawrence is thinking way too hard about something, or when he's beating himself up for some perceived slight he feels he's somehow performed, or when something is bothering him and he's debating whether or not to bring it up for fear of bothering Adam. Often times he'll just sit beside him wherever he is, or lead him somewhere to sit down if they're standing, and he'll just guide Lawrence's head to rest on his chest and he'll just talk softly, making sure Lawrence isn't sitting in silence, knowing that Lawrence doesn't typically feel up to talking himself right away. He'll run his fingers through his hair and tell him about his day, or something he saw while scrolling through his phone/on TV, sometimes he'll read to him, basically just letting him know that hey, I'm right here, I know you're not doing great right now, and that's okay. I'm here for you. Lawrence cries sometimes when Adam does this, the relief of being held + feeling safe enough to express his emotions making it easier, but he smiles by the end of it because he knows how much Adam loves him + wants to make sure he's okay, and he knows that Adam isn't going to judge him. It's the safety of it all. <3

Favourite things to do together!!! Like you mentioned I like to think they do chores together! It’s just more fun that way. Again as you’ve mentioned b4, I think Adam has some difficulty with the dishes despite liking the repetitiveness of the task, both because of textures and because of his shaky hands - so what they do is Lawrence will wash the plates themselves and then hand them off to Adam, who will dry them and put them away/the strainer! They both find it helps a lot to just be around each other like this, listening to the radio above the stove and bumping hips, tapping their feet, sometimes humming along if they know the song well enough. It’s just a nice little routine. (Sometimes they dance in the kitchen after, and sometimes to the goofiest pop songs Adam has ever heard, but if you heard that, no you didn't.)

They like folding laundry together, too! That one is just because it's fun. Lawrence will toss him one or two of his shirts while they're warm because he knows Adam likes the feeling + stealing Lawrence's clothes, and every now and then Adam will throw a washcloth at him just 'cause he thinks it's funny (it is, especially bc Lawrence's gut response is to throw it back?? so they look like two dorks bc they're just throwing it back and forth???), and it's just a nice way to share space. Sometimes they get a bit too caught up in whatever is on TV (its on bc they both need background noise) and end up just sitting against the couch, two baskets of laundry on either side of them, and then eventually Adam will be like "Okay babe I think we should probably finish folding clothes now," and Lawrence will just groan like "I forgot that's what we were doing. Damn it." and they take a moment to laugh before they finish up. (Adam Loves hearing Lawrence swear bc he doesn't do it often, so even smth as simple as "damn it" cracks him up for a good minute lmao!!)

I do think they also enjoy cooking together!! Adam will hand him ingredients/assist in cutting vegetables/what have you; I think, for the most part, that Lawrence does the majority of the cooking, but Adam does help where he can! Sometimes he'll just hop up onto the counter and hand Lawrence things as he needs them, and Lawrence thanks him with either a squeeze to his hand or a kiss on the cheek, and Adam will joke about how he's basically just sitting there looking pretty, but he learns very quickly that Lawrence will just be like "Well, you DO look very pretty, so I think that's fine," and it ends with Adam red in the face but smiling into his hands anyway. The payoff is always a nice meal that they can sit down to together, and it's just such a peaceful, enjoyable thing for them to do together!!

Other than those three they'll take turns doing chores for each other - sweeping, dusting, tidying up the bathroom, things like that just to help each other out <3

Study (?) tips that you don’t see on every study post

Hi gamers, I just finished my first year at college/university!!

This year was really a struggle for me because I was trying to get the help I needed for my mental health, and I did not succeed until literally the week before finals spring term. I just got diagnosed w ADHD and put on meds (thank god) and I’m excited for the next year to come.

Though this year was absolutely grueling I did discover some little tips that can really help ! This is coming from my experience w ADHD but it could relate to other neurodiverse learners as well ! Even if you are neurotypical some of these might help !! 

This post got really long so I’m gonna put it under the cut but, main Idea is bolded w a more in depth explanation underneath ( for those like me who see a block of text and go running)

In no particular order:

If you can/are up for it take a class before noon even if you are not a morning person. I am NOT saying take an 8am when u regularly go to bed at 4am! Bc that is dumb bb pls get some sleep. In my experience once I go to class my brain is like “oh things are happening now, it is actually a day and not just existing in a timeless hellscape.”

Once I am out of bed/out of my room I am at least mildly more productive for the rest of the day. Going to a class before noon means you are up and doing things for the day and early enough that you still have light. This ties into the next one

Start while it’s still light out!! At least for me I gain so much happiness from natural light/sunlight, and it is very hard for me to do things let alone START things once it’s dark out because my brain is like nope the day is over now. Plus in the fall/winter days days are getting shorter and shorter so it’s important to make use of as much daylight as you can. I feel like a plant w how much I rely on light to survive but it really does help! 

Put on ‘Real People’ clothes. This is something that really helps me, even if it’s just like, jeans and a turtleneck, maybe tucked in w a belt. I’ve found that when I put on academic-y clothes or like Adult clothes it helps me switch my brain into school mode. It’s kinda like putting on a uniform for work? If I’m in too loose of clothes or like pyjamas for example, I’m much less likely to be able to switch my brain into productive mode. For me especially its when i’m wearing tighter clothing rather than baggy ones? Like i said a turtleneck which like the sleeves are fitted to my arms, and jeans or pants that are fitted to my legs. I think it helps because it makes me more aware of my body in the space? Idk.  figure out what real people clothes feel like to you, and then have a couple of go to outfits you can slip on when you’ve been in a hoodie and sweatpants all day and really need to get some work done. 

On that note, put on shoes. For me along w the tight clothing, I do better in shoes, specifically ones that lace up and can be tight. Like hightop converse, or boots, or even dress shoes w laces. I think in a way my body needs to be contained so I can focus on something? I���m not sure why I feel like that but i’ve learned to work w it. Putting on shoes for me helps because

1. I’m not distracted by what I’m putting my bare feet on (i cannot stand wearing socks unless im wearing shoes so yes bare feet)

2. I’m not getting distracted by my floor n the fact that hey maybe i should sweep bc there are some crumbs sticking to my feet now.

And 3. You put on shoes when you are going to go outside and go somewhere. It’s like putting pyjamas on to go to bed, you’re brain associates those items with doing something, so putting on shoes can signal to your brain hey we are doing something now, and that something is work.

Talk to your teachers !! I understand sometimes you have a teacher from hell and honestly idk what to tell you at that point but in  a lot of cases teachers can be very understanding !! The amount of support I’ve gotten from my teachers this year is absolutely insane and 100% the only thing that made it so I didn’t get kicked out of college. Like reaching out to your teachers shows that you care! if you have to take a mental health day sometimes let them know !! i would always let my teacher know that I really wanted to be in class but I just couldn’t handle it that day. They also can help connect you to resources you didn’t know about ! 

Look into what resources your school has !! I was talking about how next year is gonna go now that I’ve been diagnosed and such with my friend, and how I was gonna contact the DRC (disability resource center) and she didn’t know you could get support for having ADHD!! Like I know you can get extensions on due dates, attendance forgiveness, and even potentially note taking assistance when you have ADHD and talk to them. even if you are medicated it doesn’t 100% solve everything and there are still ways to get support! Whether its study groups, writing centers/support, tutoring, or even contacting your drc or whatever your school has, it can really help!! I’m definitely going to take advantage of these resources if I can next year ! 

Find a place outside you can go to clear your head (or have a mental breakdown) 

I can’t even begin to count the amount of times i’ve been freaking out over something or stressed out of my mind and my room started to feel to stuffy and claustrophobic and i just needed to get OUT. try to make sure it’s somewhere safe and close that you can go to even at night. (maybe try to shoot a text to your best friend that you’re out and if you don’t let them know you’re home by a certain time to start raising alarm, your safety is the most important) I tend to like to be up high because i’m further away from people, and the streets and I’m closer to the sky.

My go to thinking/breakdown spot is the roof of the parking garage a block away. It has stairs that are easy access and the top levels are usually empty even during the day. It really helps me to just go out and listen to music and collect my thoughts sometimes. My head can start going a million directions at lightspeed and I need to stop and be present, and being outside helps. It’s a good way to regroup.

Spend 10 minutes picking up your desk/work space. I tend to let my room get cluttered and messy and out of control a lot, to the point where I know it’s going to take at least a couple hours to get it clean again. It is also hard to focus when you’re in a messy environment. I would stress myself out and be like “well i HAVE to clean my whole room because I can’t focus if my space isnt clean I cant start until I clean” and then I would put all of my productive energy into cleaning, and get maybe halfway done before burning out and going to bed.

You’re never going to get any work done if you keep in this mindset. So instead just spend 10 minutes picking up the garbage off your desk, put the dishes in the kitchen, and put things back in their place. Then you will have enough space to work on your assignment and that space will be free of clutter so it won’t be as stressful. 

DRINK WATER DRINK WATER DRINK WATER

Have a water bottle in front of you when you’re studying/in class. I get fidgety a lot when i’m in class/studying (thank u adhd) and so having a water bottle is a way for me to fidget I guess? Depending on the water bottle, you have little steps you have to do to drink that help u fidget,

for example: pick it up, take off the lid, drink, put the lid back on, set it down.

Or pick up, push button that opens drink hole (?), set back down.

When I have a water bottle on my desk it satisfies my need to do something with my body and comes with the bonus of staying hydrated, without me having to lose focus doing something else. Also you won’t get distracted by a sore throat or the realization that you are really thirsty.

Pay attention to why you’re not paying attention. Not everything that works for me is going to work for you, so you have to figure out what works for you. I started to notice that I would be uncomfortable or feel funny working when I was in baggy clothes and that helped me figure out I needed to wear real people clothes. If you find yourself getting distracted, take note of what is distracting you. maybe try literally making a list of things that distract you, so then you can identify patterns and how to combat them !

That’s all I have for now, I hope some of these could maybe help? All of these have helped me actually complete an assignment occasionally, and somehow keep my ass in college. I just want to say that my experience is my own and things that work for me aren’t going to work on every one. college can be really tough, especially your first year when you’re trying to figure everything out. SPOILERS FOR CATS 2019, here’s my hot takes and opinions

First off my overall opinion, i LITERALLY cannot say whether it was good or bad, like lots of critics say it just...is beyond that. It’s VERY fun and that’s all I can bring myself to say, I have LOTS of problems with it but I can’t even say that they make the movie bad. It is definitely worth watching

OPINIONS ON CHARACTERS:

Victoria: she’s good! I appreciate that they kinda left her personality blank other than her innocence since that’s pretty much how she always was, still not super thrilled with her as a main character but franchesca did the best she could

Munkustrap: I loved him! he was more of a main character than I would have expected, but they STILL cut all the charm from his lines... why do I love him then? Robbie fairchild did AMAZING background acting, whenever he was in frame he was always doing something SUPER munkustrap-y and making cute dad faces. he was dealt bad lines but he worked around it best he could. Also his legs were normal so...epic fail

Mistoffelees: 😒😒😒😒😒🤢🤢🤮 disappointed but not at all surprised...he was just a Woobie, a softboy uwu nice guy. I felt like I was seeing fanon 2013 loki in cat form. THEY MADE HIS SONG A SADBOY PITY PARTY SONG...WHY WOULD YOU MAKE THE 11 O’CLOCK NUMBER SLOW AND SAD???? Where is the smug little shit who’s vague and aloof yet confident and joyous? He was murdered by his evil homophobic shadow clone. I’m not even gunna indulge the fact that him and Victoria were a thing, I’ll go over that later. He also just constantly looked like the crying cat meme his eyes were so red and watery it was horrifying, yet somehow he wasn’t the worst character , that leads us too.....

tugger: what.the.fuck.did.you.do.to.this.boy. HE GOT THE TREATMENT I EXPECTED FOR MUNKUSTRAP! HE WAS DEMOTED TO BACKGROUND CHARACTER! not only did he not sing mr. mistoffelees, he literally did nothing other than his song, he never interacted with ANY characters besides jenny in 1 scene. I know cats has no set main characters but he’s undoubtedly one of the most important characters and he’s like...the least important named character in the movie. ALSO Jason Derulo was not sexy at all. There was NO hip thrusting NO sexy meowing NO glamrock, he was just an asshole and if I hadn’t already seen the original I would have either completely forgotten about his character or though he was the worst character. I’m so fucking angy I cannot express.

Girzzabella: ngl I expected better. Her acting was great but with the horrible effects I couldnt get invested but I’ll touch on the effects later. Her singing was good, but I expected it to carry the movie and it wasn’t at all the best song in the movie, I’d say she’s about as good as I expected she’d be but the movie itself was more enjoyable than I expected so she was less significant

Old d: she was fine, she LOOKED the part definitely, she didn’t have as large a presence as ken page but I wouldnt expect that of her. Her singing wasn’t the greatest though, her voice is fine by it’s just NOT suited to old d’s songs. I would have preferred she play a female gus bc her voice is very sweet and frail, not at all built for belting like her songs required.

Macavity: he’s just...eh. He’s basically a comic relief villain which sucks. He does practically nothing besides kidnap people, say a cheesy line, and act like a caricature of a 90s cartoon villain (and not one of the fun ones) like theres a scene where he poofs away and when he does it he goes, MACAvityyyyyyy and fades away its so unintentionally funny but it just makes him so lame as a villain. not to mention he doesnt even die at the end or get any satisfying conclusion he just gets stuck on top of a statue and his powers suddenly stop working (for some reason??)

Bombalurina: fuck that, I am simultaneously glad she only was in the macavity number bc fuck off Taylor Swift but also disappointed bc she deserved so much better.

Bustopher: 😟 never in my darkest nightmares did I think I’d see bustopher Jones deepthroat multiple crayfish but here we are. Somehow THIS was the most sexual song, I cannot begin to name the fetishes checked off by this performance bc itd hit word limit. Let me just say that I said multiple times out loud, “damn bustopher kinda a freak with it 😏😏” like I CANNOT stress how weirdly sexual it gets. And ofc its all otherwise just haha funney fat guy eat food and burp and fall down. He also breaks the fourth wall a few times which like, fuck you

Jenny: exactly what was shown in the trailer. Unfunny fat jokes and slapstick humor. Also they focused WAY too many shots on her cat pussy and I wish I was making that up. Also of note is that the cgi on the rats and cockroaches are drastically worse than the rest of the movie, like not just bad designs the effects are BAD. also they translated they whole gumbie cat fur-shedding as her wearing fake skin over her outfit which would be fine but UHH the fake fur is skin tight??? so it literally looks like shes ripping off her skin and she does it multiple times its fucking terrifying

Mungojerrie and rumpelteazer: meh, they are fine as characters, not quite as energetic as I would have liked but they didn’t massively fuck anything up? The song was horrible, they went against the beat for...some reason? Like it’s a song with a very distinct rhythm and they split up the lyrics so weirdly. I liked that they followed through with the lore of them working for macavity

Skimbleshanks: YES YESSSSSSSSSS HOLY FUCKING SHIT 💗💕💖💞💜😳😳😳😳😳😳😳💜💛🧡💚💖❤️💗 i absolutely CANNOT express how good skimbleshanks made me feel. He looks like a leather daddy with his chains and suspenders and hat and stache, I hate that I’m saying this but uh...mr skimbleshanks sir😳 we were actually screaming it was so fucking good. Watching this movie was worth it just for skimble. Unironically. I’m listening to the song as we speak. It was kinda weird that they moved the tap dancing to this song but that’s more of a detractor from Jennie’s and a plus side to skimbles since it’s good tap

Gus: good! Ian did a good job of course, no one doubted that he would.

Growltiger and griddlebone: not racist but still absolutely horrifying. One of the worst parts of the movie, I actually got squeamish looking at griddlebone a few times that’s how bad she looks

Everyone else: not that good. I couldn’t tell who was who, all their personalities were annoying, I’m on imdb as we speak trying to figure out who even was supposed to be who. Demeter is completely butchered and jemima just isn’t there, doesn’t sing her part, it all sucked man.

Tech talk:

CGI: okay so here’s the thing, the effects are good. GREAT even, the issue is how fucking horrible the designs are. The lack of cat nose, mouth, and hairy cheeks makes them all look disgusting. Also the feet. Holy fuck why do they have feet. THERES A FUCKING SCENE WHERE TUGGER GRABS VICTORIAS FOOT AND SNIFFS IT. IT LASTS LIKE 5 SECONDS. Old Deuteronomy, Gus, and Cassandra (bc she was already bald) are the only characters I’d say look anywhere close to decent, grizabella looks okay in profile but head on it’s all horrible again. its really such a shame bc the sets are gorgeous! i really hope this movie gets some form of recognition for its sets.

the editing and directing was DOGSHITTTTTTT there are SO many scenes where characters just teleport or parts where people are singing and no ones mouths are moving its really distracting

Other things:

it’s OBVIOUS that the critics calling this movie horny have never seen the original. I’d definitely say the movie is LESS HORNY than the play. It IS however waaaaaaay more uncomfortable with its hornieness, so I’d say in that regard YES, the horny stuff is much more gratuitous and off putting despite there being an overall smaller amount than the play. ie everything bustopher jones does

They changed a BUNCH of lyrics for some reason?? Like they cut verses which I understand but there are like a handful of lyrics in almost every song they just...change. like...okay? All changing lyrics is gunna do is make people who knew the songs frustrated when they can’t sing along

the dancing was incredible! shame the cg just fucking invalidates all of it bc your mind doesnt register it as real people doing real moves

OKAY THE FUCKING CATNIP SCENE so when taylor swift showers everyone in catnip they all just fucking start moaning and go FULL HORNY its TOO MUCH like misto full on does an o face like eyes rolled back mouth open  and munkustrap is like ass up panting i still havent processed it im fucking terrified to encounter it again. they cut the orgy? yet added THIS??? k

WHY did they take 2 of the most iconic characters who FREQUENTLY interact and just

b. Make 1 a background character

c. Completely change the personality of the other one

On the topic of Victoria/misto: I am just still at a loss as to why they thought it’d be a good idea? They completely removed Plato and for what? This? Pathetic. It’s worth noting the weirdly munkustrap has WAYYY more chemistry with both Victoria AND mistoffelees then they did with each other (there’s a part where it looks like misto and munk are about to kiss for some reason?? munk ALSO gets all touchy feely with skimbleshanks???) anyways munkustrap king moments

tldr; its worth watching, the best parts were the sets, the dancing, skimbleshanks, and munkustrp fucking CARRIES the weight of the world with his face acting. the worst things were a big fat tie between bustopher, tugger,misto,jenny,growltiger and griddlebone, and the godawful design choices

i found this question SO funny on first read, like i just want you to know this is the first thing my brain thought of in reaction:

GJFKDLSJGKLFDSJHGSD anyway. i think the equivalent to what you’re asking here in the states is like... lockers. and the thing is this is actually a revealing question, because whether you use your locker (and for what purpose) is pretty telling of your personality. for example, i never used my locker in the last 3 years of high school and just kept everything in my backpack. this was kind of necessary when we only had 6 minutes of transition time in a huge school, but you get the idea.

farkle uses his locker, and his is kind of centrally located so its easy for him to come and go to it between classes. he doesn’t use it so much for schoolwork (he has his messenger bag for that), but he’ll keep spare items in there just in case like a jacket, a blazer, dance shoes, etc. in the early school years his locker is very sparsely decorated (because he has no friends...), but as we’ve seen canonically over time he decorates it with pictures of his friends, which grows in variety as the series goes on. the interesting thing about farkle’s locker is its more of a set piece than other character’s -- in certain episodes like 208, it basically IS farkle when he himself is absent. so his holds a lot more visual power than everyone else’s.

maya doesn’t use her locker. she keeps everything stuffed in the extra pockets of her dance duffle, which also doubles as her backpack. she takes it everywhere and rarely stops at her locker. if you opened it, there’d be nothing but a few crumpled assignments from like, freshman year that she never completed.

riley uses her locker sporadically, sticking mainly to keeping things in her backpack. she’ll leave a few textbooks in there or extra pairs of things like dance shoes and clothes if necessary, but she rarely goes to it. she has a couple of photos hung up inside, but otherwise she just doesn’t spend much time in there. she might also leave her coat in there if it’s a wintery day, but by senior year she’s more likely to drop it in the booth.

zay doesn’t really use his locker except to store his dance duffle between classes. he has photos in it (including the one of charlie featured in 211), but it gets updated infrequently since he doesn’t spend a lot of time there. he basically swaps out his backpack for his duffle, and his backpack is like standard green and one he’s had for ages so it’s flimsy but he’s decorated it with pins, buttons, and doodled all over it over the years. another thing is that he has this thing of letting his best friends over the years doodle something / “sign” his backpack, so he has stuff from his friends in middle school as well as yindra, nigel, riley, and yes, even charlie.

charlie is someone who uses his locker religiously (ba dum tss), partially i think because it gives him some place to orbit around as he goes through his day. there are a lot of canonical scenes with him talking to people at his locker, so people kind of know that’s a place to find him between classes. he has photos of his friends (well, Known friends, like haley + clarissa, pics with yindra from les mis, his sisters, church friends, etc), and he also has a little divider in the lower half that acts a shelf so he can separate his dance shoes and stuff from everything else. he tends to keep his backpack and dance duffle in the locker unless he needs it for a specific class, and then collects all his things at the end of the day each day.

isa uses her locker pretty efficiently as well, and she takes care to make sure it’s very organized. dividers, magnetic whiteboard with a to-do list, yeah she’s that bitch. she doesn’t necessarily go back and forth to it a lot each day (she knows how to get use out of her backpack), but she has it all worked out so that everything is exactly where it needs to be when she needs it. she doesn’t have a lot of personal affects in it though.

lucas... well. he didn’t use his locker at all until he was kicked out of the booth, because the booth was like... basically his locker as well as his semi-home lmao. like why bother to use your locker when you’re just gonna come back to the booth at the end of the day anyway? but once he got ousted he kind of had to recalibrate, and he uses his locker solely because he still just has a lot of... Stuff at school. he’s basically a little nomad and so he’s got his whole travel duffle stuffed in there at all times since it can’t be in the booth anymore. that said, even though he uses it, i don’t think lucas decorates it. that’s just not who he is and ain’t nobody got time for that.

asher most certainly uses his locker, and we’ve seen him use it more than a couple times in canon. he’s somewhere around charlie and isa in terms of how he uses it, but i think his has slightly more personal touch to it. he’s also got a back-up stock of like... every important thing he could ever possibly need in a little bin at the bottom of it, like an emergency first aid kit but for also like. self-care and school supplies lmao. in freshman year he had a mirror in there but when he became friends with lucas and dylan who would, incidentally, end up slamming his locker door a lot on accident, he got too nervous the mirror would shatter and got rid of it (which is probably a good thing because it effectively forced him to stress about his appearance about 34% less than he would’ve otherwise). he has some pics of the techie crew and pics + letters from dylan hung up now instead.

dylan has shit in his locker but he doesn’t really use it for school. he’s basically created a little quick shoppe out of it and has stores and stores of things like gum, extra writing utensils, candy, snacks, water bottles, and during testing season, scantron bubble sheets. he’s basically like... a dealer, only its school supplies + self-care stuff and he won’t charge you any money lmao. the interior door of his locker though is stuffed full with photos of his friends, family, and asher like 15 times. he also 55% of the time doesn’t even have a backpack. like he will show up to school with literally nothing and yet, somehow it doesn’t seem to matter. cory hates him for this and eric was suspicious of the locker shoppe for a while (even though once he got to know dylan as a person he was like okay yeah nvm he’s fine lol), but they’re just hatin bc dylan is using the system in his own way! he won’t do it the way they’re used to and they’re gonna have to DEAL WITH IT!
