Does everyone not know that the original intention for Season 4 was to give the Doctor a companion exactly like Donna to fall in love with? Russell said it himself. Her name was going to be Penny Carter, and they had even cast another actor in case Catherine didn't have time to come back.

And instead they got Actual Donna, Actual Love of the Tennant Doctor's Life, back in the show. The truth is the DoctorDonna storyline is THE single most romantic and well thought-out relationship in the show. It ended tragically originally because the Doctor wanted to save her life, couldn't have lived with himself if she died because of him.

Donna is the Doctor's equal in more ways than one-- she is not a young twentysomething girl. She's had her heart broken over and over, and you can see she's been mostly ignored and passed over, and had very little kindness in her life. She's never belonged anywhere, not even at home where her mother is constantly telling her what a failure she is. And from the first time they meet, when the Doctor wraps his coat around her on the rooftop, that's where Donna has for the first time encountered a person who was willing to show her kindness, no strings attached. She's never had that before. Why wouldn't she love him?

David said, when Runaway Bride had finished filming, that "at first they didn't get on but by the end they had fallen for each other." That's a direct quote, and I think it's applicable to the show and to real life. He was telling the truth about Donna and the Doctor not getting on and then falling for each other. He was also telling the truth about him and Catherine, minus the "not getting on" part. I think it was love at first sight for Tatennant. I think the similar ages between Catherine and David is also a huge factor-- that equalizes them in real life, and it carries into the characters.

He clearly asked for Catherine back, and it's in some of the commentary for the episode that he says very thoughtfully, "Maybe we can revisit Donna?" YOU SURE CAN DT. YOU SURE CAN.

And she came right back! She came right back to Cardiff, no hesitation, to be his Donna again. The Doctor calls her "my Donna." And she never says otherwise, never says "I'm not yours" or anything of the sort. She is his!

Moreover, the original DoctorDonna dynamic was always "best friends who might kiss but if you ask them about it they'll act like the other has cooties." In my fics I justify it as them hiding their life together to avoid exploitation of their relationship, but as we all know DW is a family show and so it has limits on what it can actually have in its stories.

I'm aware I have a bias as I started shipping them as soon as I saw The Runaway Bride. The mutual longing and pining was so good at the end of the episode, and David looks absolutely enamored from almost the beginning. Wherever they got that pain in that scene from, the way Donna actually started to cry that he was leaving even though she turned him down (everyone knows it would have been a wicked rebound that ended in disaster for both of them had she stayed), it was the exercise of two actors who are amazing at their jobs and who found a soulmate in each other.

So yes, it makes sense. It's the only thing that makes sense. That's why he changed his face back to the man that she loved and cared for, to come home to her forever.

Why do people think we can't ship the Doctor and Donna? That's exactly why they were created in the first place.

They love each other. They miss each other. They want to be together. They complement each other. They have soulmate energy. They are best friends. They are so happy together. They sacrifice themselves for each other. They are in constant physical contact. They look so good together. They are fighting all the time. They are playing with each other. Everything they feel for each other is mutual. It's obvious they have unspoken feelings for each other. He changed his face for her and returned to her decades later. There are even obstacles that prevent them from being together.

This is the most normal thing in this show so far.

like yeah he sealed him and killed him but like. every aspect of gojo’s character is just so. gege really said “i’m going to make you the strongest character in the history of ever and you’re going to be cool and attractive and funny and your fans will love you, BUT:

The entire point of your character is that no matter how much power you have, you are helpless to save the people you truly care about

You’re so powerful that the only way you can narratively exist without destroying every enemy in jjk other than Sukuna is to get snatched away, sealed, get your powers taken away, or die (even in the fucking video game you only get a certain number of turns to act before you get yoinked)

You can never escape the system you were born into because your power has become your character

You’ll think you’re changing the system for the better but end up perpetuating the system anyway in allowing children to go on dangerous missions

You cannot supervise said children on dangerous missions because you’re running around Japan like a headless chicken at the whims of the higher ups

You never got the chance to fully grow up because a part of you died when Toji killed you and a part of you died when Suguru left you and what else is there left

Your own desire for power blinded you to your best friend’s depression and it’s one of your greatest regrets yet a part of you still thinks Suguru wasn’t strong enough to keep up which is why you keep saying you want strong allies who can keep up with you and you are just terribly equipped to handle your students’ emotional challenges and insecurities even though you try your best

You will never make any emotional connections as lovely as the one from your youth which you still cry about on the rare occasions you actually sleep

You will only be able to tell Suguru you love him right before you KILL HIM

No matter whether Suguru was your best friend, ex-boyfriend, crush that you never confessed to, or boy you only realized you were in love with after he left you, you will NEVER be able to get over him and an evil brain will use this against you and several people you care about will get fucked over because you cared too much

Even though your students/coworkers sometimes like you the first thing 99% of them think of when they think of you is “The Strongest” and even in your breakup arc Suguru, the one person you wanted to stand by your side and share the title, began to think of you in that way as well and distanced himself from you because of it.

The narrative requires that you be lonely at the top as a direct consequence of your power - even metaphorically, infinity separates you from the rest of the world and your wide range of destruction makes it so allies are a hindrance in battle and you could destroy the people you dare about in seconds (see: thank fuck todo stopped yuuji from stepping into range of purple)

You are going to fight the boy you may or may not have raised from childhood because of the other boy with Sukuna inside him that he asked you to save and you can’t hesitate because the last time you hesitated about someone you cared about you got sealed and people died

You may or may not have died to the strongest curse of all time and are left forever unsatisfied even in death because not only was your culty/cunty best friend not there to cheer you on, but you think Sukuna couldn’t even go all out against you, the strongest sorcerer of your time, despite strength being your whole thing

and as a bonus, you also “died” after cockily saying “Nah I’d win” which will get extensively memed on the internet at your expense”

I am back once more! :D Lunar and Earth finally talked, and by golly, it is everything and more! Watching them both go through their issues together, and realize their flaws is kind of…therapeutic? In a way??? There are also so many parallels! Between Lunar and Earth, between Lunar and Eclipse(which made me go feral), even between Earth and the Creator in some way!

The thing that really got me is the realization, that Lunar and Earth are opposites in almost every way, and looking at things through this perspective is so interesting!

Earth feels as though her feelings have no value, as though they don't matter! She always puts others before herself, even expressing guilt for her breakdown!

Lunar, on the other hand, has a habit of putting themself first. That itself isn't a bad thing, of course, but they made it a habit to force their emotions onto others, to the point where the people around them felt the need to walk on eggshells!

Where Earth is very down to earth, Lunar is always in the clouds. Where Lunar acts on impulse, both verbally and physically, Earth overthinks, to the point, that she forgets to act.

Even in their grief, they acted like polar opposites. One shut down, while the other screamed and shouted!

I am such a freak when it comes to psychology, so this is just- It's making me feral, it's turning me into a rabid animal-

Both reflect the places they come from as well.

Lunar is emotionally immature, due to the trauma they faced. They feel as though they are stuck being the kid they were originally created to be, never having the chance to grow, before another thing was thrown at them, causing a hold in their worldview, if that makes sense! They act out, and push their emotions on others, because Eclipse always disregarded them. He never took their feelings seriously, and even now keeps teasing them for it. So of course, they actively push them onto others, now that there are people who will listen!

Earth, on the other hand, was always created with a clear purpose. She was made to be the caretaker. She was made to be perfect. From the moment she first opened her eyes, the expectations of perfection were put on her shoulders.

It's really interesting to think about.

The Creator had too many expectations, and his positive relationship to Earth gave her the need to fulfill those expectations. Eclipse had no expectations. He never gave Lunar an objective to live up to, and would push them down, everytime they tried to look for one.

The Creator, despite his good relationship to Earth, never cared for her. He only kept her close, calling her his "dearest daughter" for his own benefit. There was never an ounce of care for her, to the point, where he simply dropped the mask and insulted her. Eclipse, despite his negative, and very unhealthy relationship to Lunar, did care for them in a strange way. However, he kept pushing them away, because he didn't understand love and care, probably afraid of it. He treated them like a tool and even took ownership of them by saying things like "you belong to me", because it was the only way to keep them close in his twisted mind.

Speaking of their "first person", both of them act different in that regard too!

Earth is nothing like her father.

Meanwhile, Lunar has been shown to share quite a few of traits with Eclipse. Even in this video alone, there's the way they used to act in anger. Like Eclipse, Lunar reacts with anger and violence, when something happens. Both bite and show off their claws. Ever since their death, they have been shown to act similar to Eclipse, though on a lesser scale! It is making me so unwell, these two will be the death of me/pos-

Though as it has already been pointed out, they are changing. They haven't acted like this in a while. They have become rather self-aware and calm very suddenly, which confuses even Lunar themself! Like Earth said, this could very well be due to their last emotional outbreak ending badly! Their brain might just be shutting down, as a way to keep them safe! I am definitely interested to see, where this goes-

One more thing to point out in all this, is Lunar's question! "Why do things keep happening to us?"

I just find their opinions on the matter really Intriguing!

Earth knew from the beginning, she wasn't in control. She is only in control of herself, but never the situation. She doesn't try to be. Lunar, on the other hand, feels a lack of control, both in their situation and in general, and desperately tries to keep a hold of it! It reminds me of a orange and black animatronic- Okay, I'll stop now-
