sometimes i watch scenes where Cas is looking at Dean in a way that just screams "i am in love with you" and then i remember that at purcon7, Misha said that somewhere along the way he had just accepted that that part of Castiel's story was canon. way before he even knew that Cas would ultimately end up confessing. he was literally subconsciously playing Cas as being in love with Dean, for god knows how long??? that's why he always stared at Dean with actual heart eyes, like he hung the moon and stars. because Misha had already decided in his subconscious mind to play Castiel as absolutely whipped for Dean Winchester

Johnny Truant is the character ever actually and yall are missing out. He has mommy issues and TWO kinds of daddy issues. He lied his way into working at a fish canning factory at age 13. He goes on long-winded stream of consciousness rants about vaguely disturbing but largely irrelevant topics. He does too many drugs. He has tons of casual sex with women but all of them think he’s sweet. He saw a stray puppy on the side of the road and immediately fell in love with it. He only has one friend. He thinks he’s being haunted by a demon but he probably just has PTSD. A pretty girl said 6 words to him and he immediately considered ‘petitioning all major religions in order to have her deified.’ His only hobby is organizing and annotating an academic manuscript written by a dead old man about a movie that doesn’t exist.

i can just never get on the "VAL is a scary evil villain" train because frankly if you tortured anyone to death, gave them the ability to reaffirm their delusions by making them reality, and weaponised their instability and paranoid psychosis that you helped to induce, let alone someone who was already in a desperate enough position to see voluntarily signing up to an initiative where it is made explicitly clear that you are sacrificing yourself entirely to the state - the same state that values your life so little it'll take anyone it can get its hands on, willing or unwilling - and will be used to serve it as a dehumanised tool until you break, and are tossed on the garbage heap of forgotten failures, as a way out. well i don't think they would respond very rationally or well, is all i'm saying.
