Lando hugs people in a way that shows how comfortable he is with them. There is just something so open about the affection he gives people. The way he just curls into them and hugs them and hides his face in their shoulder or neck. It's just such a soft and sweet thing 🥺

This vid was so intriguing.

Not only because all the guys were calling up their bros to tell them they loved 'em, but because the two men reacting to the video had a long back and forth about the different ways they (and the men in their lives) express love.

I guess it's one of those things in life one knows instinctively; yet it never fails to make my ears perk up when I hear it discussed. XDDDD

I love when people in general, but men in particular, open up to their friends like that. You always hear that many men don't know how to tell - or show! - their friends that they love them. So I really loved that. And the reactions from the guys on the other end were sweet too.

I don't think it's necessarily something people know instinctively. That's why there can be so many misunderstandings.

It's so sweet when people make a very specific gift because they remembered a little something about yourself you mentioned in passing forever ago. Just the fact that they cared enough to truly listen.

Case in point, one of my assigned grandpa told me to drop the mop and come have coffee instead (usual so far) and, when I got in the living room, he'd made a whole set up with a little Christmas tree and pretty lights, and he'd put a couple nicely wrapped gifts underneath. One of them being a little fighter jet key chain.

See, I'd worn my infamous denim jacket a few times, the one that's covered in pins and patches ; he'd asked about the panzer key chain, and I just said I loved war machines. It was mentioned once, months ago. He got me a better present than most of my friends did back in the days, picking up on one of the rare moments I dropped the work persona armor by an inch or two. How beautiful can people be.

Being in a fandom for 20+ years is weird because you’ll see posts like, “How come I never see people mention x” and it’s like. We did. We talked about that a lot, actually. Actually it’s something that came up. And it’s hard not to be like, “Yeah, we discussed this fifteen years ago.” Half of this fandom wasn’t even born when these discussions happened. Wild.
