Kabedon [Leviathan x GN!Reader]
have I ever told you that me and Levi have so much in common that I'm starting to fall for him?
now you know mwahahaha
this guy needs more love imo
Synopsis: With you unable to spend much time with your boyfriend, Leviathan, he tries to reclaim you as his.
_______________________________________________________
Leviathan is more pissed than usual.
Not in the sense of him losing in a game (like that would ever happen) or Mammon barging in his room to steal some money or merch he owned, but it was far worse than that—and he has never felt anything like this for thousands of years.
“So unfair!”
Off goes his Ruri-chan body pillow somewhere in his aquarium room. Yes, it’s his most treasured thing in the entire devildom—even amongst the three realms, but Levi is beyond pissed to the point that he doesn’t care what he throws. Heck, he could even rival Satan when he’s really mad. Maybe if he cools down he’ll notice some of his figurines got broken, and his Henry hiding somewhere.
Too bad, though, there doesn’t seem to be anything that could calm him down.
Well, except for one.
Affection.
Alright, calm down, sissy. We all know Levi isn’t one to beg for affection unlike Mammon or Asmodeus, but these past weeks have been torturing him. Here’s the thing—demons might not believe that he has or how did he get one, but Levi actually has a girlfriend, Y/N. And even though he spends time with you a lot, you tend to get dragged amongst the other brothers—whether Lucifer asking you to help him with the papers, or helping Asmodeus with his skincare routine, or even cooking for the Purgatory Hall members.
At first, Levi thinks it’s normal for you to get involved with his brothers—it’s become a daily thing since you transferred to RAD, but what really pissed him off is the fact that you haven’t been able to spend some alone time with him for weeks. He’s your boyfriend for goodness sake! Was he a really bad one that you’d rather spend time with the other brothers instead of him? Was it the time that you begged for affection and he declined it due to being really nervous that you had to cling to Mammon or Asmodeus?
“Aaaargh!”
There goes another Azuki-tan plushie.
Wherever you are, he’ll surely drag you to his.
You were currently at the kitchen preparing for dinner when you heard slamming. At first you would think it’s Beel getting really hungry who demands food this instant, but you’d never expect Levi to show up.
“L-Levi? Why are you—“
“Come with me. Now.”
...You never saw Levi get this possessive. You internally grin to yourself as you let him drag you to his room. Cue Beel entering the kitchen devouring what you have initially prepared for the brothers.
As soon as you got to his room, you were surprised to see his Ruri-chan pillow laying just near the door. You walked with him to see his figurines lying on the floor, and a lot more merch strewn. He was really intricate at taking care of his precious merch, even placing it to their own specific drawers, and you knew it was really bad seeing the room’s situation.
“Ow!”
There goes your body being slammed on a wall, with Levi trapping you into his arms. You cower in fear as he glares through your soul, almost popping his demon form to decimate you. Your faces were growing closer inch by inch, and you couldn’t help but close your eyes.
“You’re so unfair, you know that?”
You opened your eyes to see him in his demon form, still burning your soul with his glare.
“What am I to you?”
“W-What…?”
“Am I nothing to you? Am I boring just like the others think? Why do you have to cuddle up to the others when you have me? What am I to you, huh?!”
Oh, he is definitely the Avatar of Envy alright.
Taking a huge gulp, you try to compose yourself and make the stupidest move the world has ever seen.
“If you’re trapping me here, then why don’t you do it?”
“Huh?”
“You’re going to kiss me, right? Just like in the anime.”
You watch with a smirk as his form suddenly crumbles back to his nervous self. But deep inside, you’re freaking out on his next move. Would he really do it? Or would he attempt to kill you just like he did when he lost the TSL quiz? You watch him tremble as you silently convey your prayers not to be killed on the spot. When you felt his trap getting weaker, you took this as a chance to escape.
“I guess you really can’t do it. Why did I even expect it?” You said as you moved his arm away with a shrug.
As you were about to walk away though, you felt a sudden grip.
“Aah!”
And there goes your back getting slammed once again on the wall.
“Don’t try me.”
As quick as he gripped you, he closed the distance between your faces. You would never think in a million years that Levi would take the initiative, but maybe a little teasing really did get him to do it. The kiss was slow at first, but it gradually became heated as his hands moved over your body, causing you to open your mouth slightly for him to insert his tongue and explore you. He wasn’t Mammon, but his actions make him feel greedy for you. He needs you. He wants you.
As you both pull away, you stared in his luscious orange eyes, getting swayed by the lust that creeps out of it. You both were as red as a tomato, but you both didn’t mind as he held you close to his arms.
“You’re mine, you got that?”
(could someone make an NSFW continuation of this and tag me? hehehe thanks :D)

Hi! your writing is so amazing and I always come back to the Geto x reader works you did. I’d love to request a strong female reader whos a warrior that catches Geto’s eye. I know this is vague but I hope it can give you some ideas. Again thank you for your amazing writing its so entertaining 💗💗
The Commander: Geto Suguru x Fem!Reader
wc: 1.7k
tw: NSFW
masterlist
Suguru knew what might happen if he began allowing females into the King's Guard.
He knew what circumstances he would be putting his men - and himself - in if he did this.
But his troops were so few... and the King himself even had the grand idea that it would be best if they had women in the Gaurd to boost morale in his regime.
He caved the day Satoru - with his glassy blue eyes and somber expression - told him that he had to fix public opinion in his favor - or else. Suguru knew this threat was hollow, but the fact that Satoru - his best friend since childhood - thought it was time, well... that was enough to persuade him.
As announcements went out around the country, Suguru didn't really expect anyone to show up for training. Training as a King's Guard was brutal, and the regiment would include fasting, staying awake for three nights in a row, and building rapport with the others in order to complete the final task - a trek up the highest peak in the middle of winter.
And at first, no one did. Suguru smirked to himself every day that passed, bringing forth no new women into the fold. Perhaps things could be kept as they were. Things could remain as they always had been, and no one would get hurt.
But on the third day of recruitment, you came swaggering in through the gates of the training grounds, pack loaded up on your back and eyes determined.
Everyone held their breath - that's something that Suguru remembered quite well - until you stated your name loudly for all to hear, and dumped your pack onto the ground with a thud.
"I'm y/n from the Whispering Hills," you stated, hands resting on your hips. "And I've come to join the King's Guard."
____________________________________________________________
Everyone knows better than to laugh at a child of the Whispering Hills. The people from that area of the country are famed for their ruthlessness, unwavering loyalty, and quick tempers. They also believe in the Old Gods, which were banned from being worshipped long ago by the king before Satoru's father.
But no one seems to care that you wake up at the crack of dawn, walk out into the field with your nightclothes still on, and kneel in the direction of the hills with your eyes closed and hands folded in prayer.
No one says a word when you stay behind to eat and the others go off to pay tribute to the New Gods with offerings of wheat, grains, and fruits.
No one, not even Suguru, bothers you when you slay an animal and burn it on a makeshift altar (animal sacrifices are also forbidden) because they know you will cut them to pieces without even blinking an eye. And you'd be fully justified in doing so.
Suguru watches you do all of this, his eyes assessing you carefully as you train with the other men without missing a beat, without being injured or tapping out.
And for some reason, the deepest fear he had begins to blossom in his chest like an unbidden guest taking residence in his space. He's watched you for a few weeks now, just being yourself - but has never spoken to you one-on-one. Why hasn't he just--
"Commander."
The voice belongs to you, and you stand above him, looking just as you did on the first day you arrived. Suguru's eyes dilate and he swallows hard past the lump in his throat.
"Yes, y/n?"
"I must request a short leave of absence to meet with my people at the foot of the hills. It is festival season."
"I cannot permit you to leave training for your festivals," Suguru looks back down at his papers, shrugging. "You made a commitment to remain here with us during your training. You must keep that promise or be kicked out of this year's recruits."
Suguru doesn't see the shift in your stance, but he can feel the air around him shift from respectful to hostile. When he looks up at your expression, though, you look perfectly fine.
"Understood."
_____________________________________________________________
But things were not fine.
"Sir! She's refusing to do anything, and we can't complete the trek up the mountain without her in our group."
Suguru's had enough of your non-compliance. Ever since he said "no" to you going back to your hometown, you'd been unmoved from your station in your tent. Festival season was long over, but you'd remained in your tent, alone, and unwilling to reemerge.
The flaps on the tent swing open as Suguru storms in, his hair and eyes wild with disdain.
"Get up," he mutters, and you rise from your bed, looking over at him with bleary eyes. "You made a commitment."
"You do not honor my gods," you begin, wiping your eyes. "I will not come out until the moon has completed its course."
"I said, get up." Against his better judgment, Suguru pulls you up out of your bed by your arm and drags you to your feet. You sneer at him and bark the command to let you go, but Suguru ignores you - again, a poor move on his part. Because then, without speaking, you launch into an attack.
Suguru's been studying you carefully, and he knows your go-to moves, dodging them with ease and skill. You can hardly catch him off guard as your fight spills out into the open, calling the attention of all of the guards-in-training around you.
Suguru's long hair flies in the wind as he ducks, avoids, swiftly blocks, all while you're on the offensive, face turning a deep shade of red as you try to land a single blow on his body. If you could just get him once... then you'd have a personal achievement and a justified temper.
"Your temper is unyielding," Suguru pants, face splitting into a wild grin. "But your body cannot last as long as mine."
"We'll see about that," you reply, hands and fists flying with precision. After a few more moments of this back-and-forth, Geto stops you with two well-timed punches; one to the stomach, and one to the chest. You stumble back to catch your breath, vision blurring, but his hands grip yours behind your back, twisting them painfully.
"Yield."
"I will not yield," you grit out, pain shooting up your arms.
"Yield and I will spare you the punishment that follows."
"I will not yield!" you scream, bucking against the brute strength of the man.
"Your pride will cost you, then."
_____________________________________________________________
Your pride cost you more than just discomfort.
As you lay at the foot of Suguru's bed, your mouth whispers silent curses upon the Commander.
"Hush," Suguru gripes from his perch at his desk. "Your cursing is much too loud for my ears. I must focus."
"I hope you're never able to focus again," you snap, hands tied behind you.
"Such a sweet thing to say to your commander, soldier."
"I hope you choke on it." Suguru looks up from his book, but not at you, contemplating taming that snarky mouth of yours. But he decides against it, returning to his scribing.
Why are his hands shaking so bad, though? Had it really been so long since he felt challenged in a fight? And not only challenged but terribly aroused?
Suguru tries to fight these feelings day in and day out, looking at you with some terrible form of lust in his mind circling around him and making him go insane.
What could he do?
What should he do?
When he sees you laying on the floor with a death glare, he wants to break out into laughter and tell you to lighten up, but he knows if he does, he'll be ruined as a commander in your eyes. He must be stern, tough, unyielding, unshaken. All the things he's always been.
"You take yourself too seriously," you whisper, and Suguru looks over at you again, his brow raised.
"And you don't?"
"This isn't about me," you mutter, looking over your shoulder at your tied hands. "This is about your appearance." She's not wrong. "You want to seem strong. I've been eyeing you, Commander. I know how you work."
"Then you know I'm not going to let you get away with anything because you're a woman."
"But you do have a soft spot for me." Suguru rolls his eyes, despite you being absolutely right. "That's why I thought you'd let me go home for a few days. I see the way you look at me. Have you seen the way I look at you?"
"Don't," Suguru bites out, trying his best to avoid looking you in the eye. "Don't do that."
"Have you thought about me in your bed, Commander?" Suguru's breath hitches and he wonders if you'd snuck into his mind at some point, watching him watching you. "Or should I call you Suguru?"
The alarm bells in his mind are ringing, but something in Suguru lurches anyway, wanting you to say his name like that again.
"Y/n, this is neither the time, nor the place, nor the man you want to test you womanly wiles on."
"Oh?" You produce both of your hands, now untied, for him to see. "Or is it the perfect time, the perfect place, and the perfect man who has me all alone in his tent for the evening?" Suguru stiffens as you walk around to where he's seated, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. "You going to show me who the strongest is, Commander? Or are you going to sit there and let yourself be taken by a woman, again?"
The answer is clear by the third hour of the morning.
Your hips smack backward, and Suguru hisses, hand coming down on your asscheek again.
"Tell me who the strongest is," Suguru huffs above you, one hand holding both of your wrists on the bed.
"You are," you breathe, looking over your shoulder at his pleased expression, dark eyes drinking in your features with the lust you'd preyed on earlier. "You're the strongest."
"That's right," Suguru exhales, leaning over your back and whispering in your ear. "I'll always be the strongest between the two of us. Don't forget that, y/n."

You Never Walk Alone | Chapter 9
Genre: Werewolf!AU, Poly!AU?, Mate!AU, romance, fluff
Pairing: OT7 x Reader
Characters: Student!reader, Omega!Seokjin, Alpha!Yoongi, Beta!Hoseok, Alpha!Namjoon, Omega!Jimin, Beta!Taehyung, Alpha!Jungkook
Summary: You live a quiet life in your late grandfather’s cabin in the woods. You go to school just to graduate and get your diploma, not to make friends or stand out from the crowd. That was until one day, you enter your home to see a pack of wolves that need shelter.
What started as a sweet moment between you and the boys ended off with tears and frustration. And perhaps now, you’re back to square 1. You’re just strangers to one another.
Tumblr media
It was the weekend and the boys were going to come over to surprise you and take you out for lunch. But when they arrived, they stopped. You were crouched in front of the big tree that was beside your house. They moved quietly. In front of you were some fruits, alcohol and a photo.
“Grandpa, yet another year has passed since you’ve left. How are you doing?” You whispered as you had your eyes closed, your hands clasped together in silent prayer.
“I miss you.” The wolves all smelled the faint salty tears that fell from your eyes. Their hearts ached as they mourned with you.
“Should we go?” V turned to his brothers.
“We should comfort her. Maybe she doesn’t want to be alone.” Jimin said. They slowly approached you. You heard the footsteps and quickly turned around, afraid it was that predator again.
“Oh, it’s you guys.” You quickly hid your face to wipe your tears hastily.
“You don’t have to hide your tears from us, angel. You don’t ever have to hide your feelings from us.” RM softened. You tried your best to force a convincing smile.
“Can we pay our respects?” Suga asked.
“You don’t have to!” You shook your hands and head.
“We want to.” Jungkook smiled softly and you nodded, stepping aside. They went in twos, except the youngest 3 that went together. They each kneeled down on the straw mat that you laid out, giving a deep bow and introducing themselves to your grandpa. It was a hard sight to watch as you turned away to cry softly.
“Come here.” Seokjin wrapped an arm around you, letting you cry into your shoulder. No matter how long it has been, it still hurt. Your grandfather left a gaping hole in your heart.
“Sorry.” You cried.
“You don’t have to be sorry, (y/n).” He whispered, rubbing your back in a form of comfort.
“My grandfather would have loved to meet all of you.” You smiled softly, wiping your tears with your sleeves. The boys softened, remembering that you said the exact same words to them when they were wolves.
“I only have photos to use now when I pay respects to him. One of his last wishes was for me to scatter his ashes into the lake, where we used to have picnics together. He didn’t want me to keep him around and be reminded that he left me.” You scoffed silently.
“Your grandfather sounds like such a great man.” J-Hope said.
“He was. He was stubborn, for sure. But I owe him everything. My life wouldn’t be what it is now if it weren’t for him.” You looked at the photo of you and him on the ground.
“Shall we go have a picnic by the lake then? For old times sake.” Jungkook suggested. At first, the others all sent him ridiculous looks.
“That... sounds like a great idea.” You gave a small smile.
“In your faces.” Jungkook smirked triumphantly. Instead of cooking elaborate dishes, the boys were happy to help you prepare simple sandwiches and cut fruit. After all, the picnic was for the remembrance of your grandfather. You all headed down to the lake, you carrying your grandfather’s photo in your hands. You sat at the same spot as always.
“The weather is great.” Jimin took a deep breath. You nodded in agreement. As if sent in a flashback, you could see your grandfather standing by the edge with you on his shoulders as a little girl.
The wolves could all feel what you were feeling, that great big mix of emotions.
“Thanks for letting us tag along, (y/n).” V said softly.
“No need to thank me. You’re my friends. And besides, my grandfather wouldn’t want me to be alone. He always mocked me for not having friends and being alone. I should be thanking you guys for following me.” You turned to them.
“We will always be here when you need us.” RM promised and you felt a great warmth in your heart.
The boys all ate 3 sandwiches each while you ate one, not having quite the appetite to eat. Taking your small knife, you started to cut an apple, peach and some strawberries, putting it on the communal plate. You grabbed a strawberry but before you could put it in your mouth, someone stole it.
“Hey!” You exclaimed as Jimin chewed happily.
“That was mine! There’s plenty more there.” You pouted, pointing to the other plate. Jimin grinned.
“You know, I feel like I have been through this before.” You confessed with a laugh. The 7 of them stared at you, silently encouraging you to tell them about the 7 wolves that you spent time with.
“It’s nothing.” You shook your head, turning back to the lake. They all shot you a flat look. Now, if you actually noticed and saw that, you would have definitely got the hint that these boys had some sort of connection to same 7 wolves that would send you the same flat look when they were unimpressed by you. You sighed and closed your eyes.
“(y/n).” RM called and you hummed in reply.
“Who are these... people that you talk about? Are they not here anymore?” He asked and the others all waited for your answer with bated breaths.
“Well, they aren’t exactly people. Would you believe me if I told you that they were animals? Like... a pack of wolves?” You chuckled sheepishly, rubbing the back of your neck.
“There are wolves here?” Jungkook feigned ignorance.
“We believe you. There isn’t a reason that we shouldn’t.” Suga shrugged as he popped a piece of peach into his mouth.
“One came to me, injured and homeless. I took care of him until I met his pack. There were 7 of them, just like how there are 7 of you. After that, they were ready to return to where they came from and left. That night V found me, I swear I saw one of them.” You finally told them the truth.
“We-”
“It was nice of you to do that. Opening up your home to wild animals. You risked your safety.” J-Hope cut Jungkook off before he could say anything recklessly.
“I did tell them to visit me again. Maybe I’ll see them soon. I just hope they’re okay, where ever they are.” You smiled.
“We are right here, (y/n), we’re okay. We never left your side.” They all thought fondly.
“Let’s head back. The clouds are gathering.” Jimin said as he saw the dark clouds rolling in. All of you packed up your things and left the lake. The boys decided to invite you over for a while just to continue hanging out. You were thankful for that, not really wanting to be alone today, especially if it was going to rain soon.
“Tea?” V offered and you nodded your head, happy to have another cup of his custom blend.
“Hey, (y/n). Wanna go check the library out?” RM invited. You nodded excitedly and stood up, following him to the library. He showed you all the different shelves on the wall and you briefly skimmed through the titles.
“Here it is. Take your time to read it. There’s no hurry.” RM reached up the grab the book that you intended to borrow in school when you were in the library.
“Thank you. I’ll take care of it.” You smiled, holding the book to your chest. RM ruffled your hair.
“Let’s go.” He opened the door and led you out.
“It’s pouring out there. You should wait a while before you go back, it could be dangerous.” Seokjin stated. You sat on the couch and nodded, watching the rain fall and hit the glass of the sliding door. The rain was comforting but with that, it was getting cold.
“(y/n), would you like to change into something more comfortable while you’re here? It may get cold.” Suga offered, a black hoodie and light grey sweatpants in his hands.
“You don’t have to. I just thought...” His cheeks turned a light shade of pink.
“Thanks, Suga.” You took the clothes from him. He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly as you excused yourself to the bathroom to change.
When you came out, the boys’ heads all shot to you. You tugged on the end of the hoodie awkwardly. The clothes looked oversized on you, which made you look cuter and the fact that you wearing one of their pack member’s clothes made your scent mix with theirs. Coughing, Jungkook stood up and walked out of the living room.
“Is he okay?” You asked in concern.
“He’s fine. Don’t worry about it.” Jimin smiled with assurance. You nodded and placed your folded clothes into your bag.
“Thank you for lending me your clothes.” You turned to Suga.
“No problem.” He gave a tight smell. They were all having a mental scream fest, each one shouting at the other to calm down because they could clearly see how uncomfortable they were making you.
“Stop staring at her, you creep!” V shouted at Jimin.
“Well, tell Suga hyung to stop sitting as stiff as a board then! What kind of motive did you have?!” Jimin screeched.
“Hey, I just wanted her to feel comfortable and not catch a cold. I didn’t think it would create such an effect.” Suga growled. Jungkook was the only one responsible enough to remove himself from the situation, knowing he cannot control his alpha self that well like Suga and RM yet.
“Right, like you didn’t know.” J-Hope rolled his eyes.
“Enough! You’re all making her uncomfortable!” Jin hissed. You blinked at the tense faces on the boys’ faces. Some looked straight up tense while the others were looking at the ground.
“Should I change back? I’m sorry...” You stood up.
“No!” They all reached out to try and stop you, making you jump back at their loud voices.
“Forgive them. It has nothing to do with you. The rain does something to them.” RM smiled and you nodded your head, giggling after. The wolves all sent their pack leader a glare for making them seem like they’re crazy.
“Let’s watch a movie.” V suggested. You nodded your head and they decided to choose a studio Ghibli movie. Jimin ran upstairs to call Jungkook down. Everything turned to the wall where the television was stuck to. You comfortably leaned on J-Hope’s shoulder as you all watched. The rest sent jealous looks, wishing they had chosen to sit there.
It felt nice and warm, sitting with the boys and watching a movie. For some reason, whenever you did anything with them, it felt perfect and right. It was like you were with them in your own little world.
“Guys.” J-Hope called. Everyone turned to him.
“She’s asleep.” Jungkook cooed. As if on cue, you curled into J-Hope’s body warmth even more, making the boy’s cheeks turn red.
“Aww.” The boys melted.
“Come on. Let’s bring her to the room to let her rest.” Seokjin said. How did they decide on which room to bring you to? Of course, a good game of rock, paper, scissors.
“Yes!” V cheered. He lightly slipped his arms under you, taking you away from J-Hope and carrying you up the stairs. You let out a whine as your main source of heat was taken away, which V thought was absolutely adorable. He laid you on his bed, lightly putting the duvet over your frame.
“Rest well.” He pressed a light kiss to your forehead. V had to fight the temptation to slide into bed next to you and hold you. He didn’t want to scare you off when you were getting comfortable around them.
“No.” He gripped the doorknob until his knuckle turned white. With a deep breath, he finally left the room.
-
Your eyes fluttered open as you yawned. Sitting up, you looked around to find yourself in an unfamiliar place. Panicked, you got out of bed but saw a picture of V and Jimin on the wall, this must be one of their rooms. You let out a sigh of relief, you were still in the boys’ home and even slept in one of their rooms. At least you weren’t kidnapped or something.
“Wait for me!” You heard shouting and laughs. Shuffling to the window, you watched the boys all in the lawn. Jungkook and RM were talking. Well, it was RM who was talking and Jungkook nodding to his words.
“Where’s Tae?” Suga asked.
*Who’s Tae?* You thought as you watched. V jogged out from the house, saluting to the pale boy. Suga rolled his eyes.
“We were waiting for you.” Suga stated while V or... ‘Tae’ bowed his head in apology. Suga stepped back, away from your sight and suddenly, a white wolf jumped out onto the dirt.
*Y-Yoongi?!* You were in shock as the white wolf shook his fur.
“Jungkook will lead the way.” RM told the white wolf and V, who nodded their head. V removed his hoodie, making you look away from a while in embarrassment. You couldn’t believe your eyes, no, it must have been a hallucination or you were still dreaming.
V... or ‘Tae’ shifted into a wolf... Taehyung right before your eyes, tearing the material of his pants to the ground. Jungkook finished talking to RM and did the same, shifting in the dark grey wolf that was all too familiar.
“Kookie...” You whispered. Jungkook or ‘Kookie’ stretched his hind legs, pawing at his ears as he yawned. When he looked up, his eyes met that of yours.
“HYUNG! (Y/N)!” Jungkook roared. Tears blurred your vision as you stepped back, tripping over the edge of the bed and falling onto the ground. You quickly collected your things and threw the door open.
“(y/n)...” You ran into RM, Seokjin, J-Hope and Jimin just as you were going down the stairs.
“I-I need to go.” You looked away
“Listen, (y/n). What you saw-”
“I don’t w-want to hear it. Please... I need to go home.” You cried. It broke their hearts to hear you beg them to leave their presence, so desperate to get away from them. The boys respected your decision, stepping aside for you. You hastily wore your shoes, making sure you didn’t leave anything before fleeing out the door. You ran all the way home, slamming the door behind you.
You slid down against the door, your choked sobs escaping from your mouth. What were you supposed to feel? Betrayed? Angry? Upset? Scared? Your head started to pound.
“Werewolves aren’t real.” You pulled your hair. You managed to haul yourself to your room, curling up under the covers.
“Grandpa, what’s going on?” You looked over at your grandfather’s photo that you had.
Maybe it was time to not see the boys for a while.
“What do we do?” Jimin paced up and down. This wasn’t what they planned, this wasn’t how the pack agreed they were going to tell you their secret.
“Chim, calm down. Breathe.” Yoongi tried to stop the younger from pacing, it was making all of them dizzy but he knew Jimin couldn’t help it. All of them were freaking out and they needed to come up with something quick or they would lose their chance.
“Whatever it is. Let’s give her some time to collect her thoughts.” Jin said.
“But what if she decides to not talk to us anymore?” Jungkook chewed on his thumbnail nervously, his leg shaking.
“Then that’s her decision to make and we should respect it. Hyung is right, going to her now and talking to her is only going to confuse her even more. Give her some space and let her think about it.” Namjoon told the pack.
“I mean it. No visiting her.” Namjoon growled.
“Yes, leadernim.” They replied as Namjoon went up to his room. None of them had the appetite to eat dinner that night, staying awake the whole night.
Taehyung stood in the yard, staring into the forest but not taking a step. He sat his butt down, just staring into the darkness before him. Jimin noticed his best friend and walked over. With a soft whimper, he tucked his head under Taehyung’s muzzle, rubbing against his cheek softly in a form of comfort. The fur near Taehyung’s eyes were wet, he had been crying.
“What if she doesn’t accept us?” Taehyung asked.
“She will. Like Namjoon hyung said, we just need to give her time. This is all new to her.” Jimin replied.
“I feel her hurting.” Taehyung looked down.
“We all do.” Jimin referred to the dull ache he felt in his chest. The two wolves just sat there, looking into the forest. A part of them wishes they would see you running back to them.
The next morning, the boys headed down to the bus stop. They waited for you but you never showed up. Of course, they grew worried.
“It’s the last bus. We have to go.” Namjoon called everyone and they nodded, jumping onto the bus. Even if it was the same usual silence, there was an air of sadness that surrounded them. You not riding the bus with them made things feel so different.
“She’s here.” Jungkook could smell your scent.
You were indeed in class already. You went early, not wanting to have to run into them and take an awkward bus ride.
“She came early to avoid us.” Their hearts saddened at that. The thing that broke Taehyung’s heart was that you were sitting in a different seat. You didn’t even want to sit beside him or near them anymore.
“Hello, oppa. (y/n) gave me her seat because she said she couldn’t see the board.” The girl gave Taehyung a sweet, flirtatious smile as he sat back down.
“Go back to your seat.” Taehyung glared. The girl blinked innocently.
“But I like to sit with you.” She let out a whine, trying to act cute. Taehyung wasn’t going to entertain another annoying human girl. He slammed his palm on the table, making everyone in the class look at them. You, however, just continued to face the front, knowing that the commotion was probably because of your changed seat.
“Don’t. Make. Me. Repeat. Myself.” He growled.
“Take a walk, V.” Namjoon was quick to step in. Taehyung stood up harshly, storming out of the classroom.
“I think you should change your seat.” Jimin crossed his arms and the girl immediately scurried over fearfully. She glared at you as you sighed and took your things, going back to your old seat beside Taehyung.
The boys finally got a good look at you. Your eyes were puffy and there were slightly dark circles underneath, evident that you too, didn’t sleep a wink.
“Alright, class.” The teacher came in and began. Taehyung came in just in time, seeing that you’re back beside him. He sat down but didn’t talk to you, respecting your need to be left alone. He clenched his fist in frustration as you did your work as if he was invisible.
“Control yourself, Taehyung.” Yoongi warned.
“It hurts, hyung.” Taehyung said bitterly but tried to relax a little. He didn’t want to scare you even more and drive you even further away from them.

The great book of sayings
PAIRINGS: Tomura Shigaraki x FemReader
SUMMARY: He looks at you, his scarlet eyes fixed on yours, burning a hole through your head,  every bit the predator he is, but you are as tough as it gets, so, against your better judgment and any well-founded logic, you answer his  silent threat, the animalistic look he gives you with nothing less than a  fearless smirk, irises burrowing into his pupils.A clever girl. He  thinks, finally labeling you inside his head, cursing himself in the  very moment he allows his brain to think of you as more than an asset.  He is sure (he knows himself enough to know) he’ll think of this moment  many times from now on.A clever pretty girl.
Reader is a typical college student until she gets herself tangled with the league of villains.
WARNINGS: Unhealthy/complicated relationships, violence, Tomura being Tomura, mentions of murder, heroes’ abuse of power, smut, dirty talking.

Chapter 14 / Chapter 15
Lovers ever run before the clock.
Overhaul really is just an uptight pretentious asshole, but Tomura lets his insulting remarks slide, trying his utter best not to snap.
He was supposed to be in a good mood today, but by the time Chronostasis puts the gun against his white locks, he swears that he will do anything in his power to completely ruin Shie Hassakai for this mess, already struggling to keep his temper at bay.
“I don’t want you to get hurt. That’s all.”
He’s never one to get distracted but it is difficult to stay focus when he cannot erase the feeling of her thighs caging his hips, her words rumbling inside his brain like a prayer for him to come back and take what’s already his.
It enrages him far more than he would like to admit, but he can’t go back if he gets killed, can’t he?
Luckily for them, Tomura kinda lacks that self-preservation impulse at the face of danger, so he stays there completely stoic and delightfully petty between Chisaki and the gun. The thought of her crying because he got his pretty brains scattered all over the Shie Hassakai immaculate floor makes him realize that he has yet another reason to hate Overhaul.
Really, what’s the matter with these people? they just keep adding points to their list, but sure, he will work with what he has (as always) by sending Toga and Twice into their ranks to gain some reliability after Chisaki told him about this ridiculous plan of curing society of quirks like it’s an illness.
And he thought que was an extremist.
It’s a dumb concept, really. People decide to be assholes, to be heroes, villains and such. There is a choice in excluding those like him from society meanwhile hero violence is idolized. But quirks? People don’t get to choose. Shit just happens. You can develop a cute little nice quirk that allows you to make bubbles or something ridiculous like, dunno, destroying everything you touch; but people can help it, it’s just the way it is. Nobody asks for it. Not even Overhaul, not even him.
And, even when Tomura can understand what Overhaul is saying about society being unfair based on quirks, his plan still sounds pretty nonsensical to him, who wants to destroy everything with his own hands, after all is that why he was born with such deadly weapon at the reach of his fingers. It would be nothing short but hypocritical and, despite the irony, he likes to think of himself as an honest person. His goal clashes directly with Overhaul’s, so no, he will keep the league interests to himself and for now will trust Toga and Twice to do what they do best without rising any suspicion about what he’s up to. Chisaki is more stupid tan he looks if he thinks Tomura will make blind eye to the audacity of his challenge and his continuous lack of propriety.
Oh, poor Overhaul. He doesn’t know it yet, but he already lost.
In the meantime, he’ll keep himself busy on more important and exciting matters. Hating Overhaul is something he can use as a motivation for more than just inner monologue, because you see, Tomura has a revenge to plan and a truck to steal.
_____________
Things are different next time he sees you. Something primal and strange born from a sick sense of belonging that fills your interactions after the night you slept together, soothing his temper and bitterness into something warmer and far more intense that pulls and twist and burns to be close to each other.
It's been four days since they left the apartment to prepare the backhand against Overhaul and Tomura is sure that by that hour tomorrow Overhaul will have failed, leaving him as the great winner of his sensei’s title. (Not that he ever needed to prove it, but if Overhaul wanted to pick a fight, he would not be the one to deny his wishes.)
Tonight, however, has nothing to do with all that, not when he’s finally back.
You’ve been waiting for his return by the window, searching for his frame in every shadow, a mug of chocolate warming your hands as the soup simmered over the stove. A warm meal made for him every night in case he decided to return, guessing he would be hungry and cold, wondering if it isn’t too much (but you care for him, so you do it anyway).
A supposition that turned out to be true, but Tomura had another solution in mind.
He’s a starving dog all hunger and demand, a wild vicious thing that looks at you feral and maddened, dripping with want and something far scarier that you don’t dare to name (but you do know, don’t you?).
You are no better than him, not when your fingers had traced patterns with his name across your body, spelling dreams and fantasies from your lips, remembering the way his fingers filled you and you wonder if he touched himself thinking about you too. The answer comes rather messy the moment his jagged mouth whimpers how much he missed you between whispers and moans that to you sound like poetry.
And he takes and takes and takes with deaf hands and sharp teeth, leaving bruises with the shape of his fingertips burned all over you as he bites and scratch and pull-out whimpers and pants from your mouth that echoes the frantic tune of his heart slamming against his ribs because he missed you so much it was painful.
So, he had kissed you feverish, stomping you against the wall desperate and needing for your attention until you had pull him by the neck of his shirt to drag him into the bedroom, his brain completely forgetting about Overhaul’s existence the moment you push him to the edge of the mattress to sit in his lap, pulling the hem of his shirt for him to take it off, too focused in the heat prints your hands leave on his pale shoulders as something roars inside of his chest urging him to imprint his existence on your skin and possess the being that lives inside your bones.
Tomura paints a plethora of purple kisses over your neck and chest as a mark of his touch and your belonging. Something dark and twisted reverbing inside his ribs, inside his brain.
Mine; his mind repeats over and over again until he’s dizzied from the words, drunk in touch as your hands slither all over his sides, his chest and shoulders. His eyes marveling in the way skin holds together every angle of your flesh and the parts where your bones show from inside of your figure when he finally takes off your dress.
So soft, so beautiful and all his.
His kisses become raw and sharp and painful like the electric bond that ties you together by the ribs, all roughness and need, bruising lips and sinking teeth. Your moans and pants mixing now and then with some pained yelps and hisses of his name to call out on his harshness, but he chooses to make deaf ears to your pleas, too busy trying to gorge on your taste.
His teeth sink on your skin leaving marks like crescent moons that he kisses after you cry, pleasure and need pooling between your thighs, a tightness that burn inside your belly as you tangle your fingers in his hair, thinking briefly between the fog of your thoughts that it has grown, that it looks painfully beautiful on him like a crown of silver and moonlight.
Soon enough your legs lock around his bony hips, the choir of soft mewls and pants has become something far more animal; cries filling the room with each touch. White underwear remaining as the last barrier to your skin, leaving a wet stain over the fabric of his jeans.
The room turns unbearable warm as your kisses become more slopy and open, letting him take your mouth just how he likes it as he registers the way the skin of your torso presses against his bare chest, your warmth spreading over, suffocating him.
Hooking a finger on your bra cup, Tomura pulls down and reveals the flesh hidden under the layers of lace, deciding already that this is his favorite image of you. Covered in love marks, wet and underwear ruined, your bra tucked under the curb of your breast. Something obscene and desperate about it, more crude than mere nakedness and it’s exactly how he likes it.
It looks lewd, it looks nasty. It looks like everything he wants to make of you, so he tightens his hold on your waist, making your back curve a little up to latch his mouth to your breast, sucking hard enough to draw a loud moan from your lips as you dig your nails on the muscle of his arms, delight shooting through your spine.
“Ow…fuck…” you pant with each pull of his mouth, and he chuckles darkly against your chest, amused and smug because he has you and he knows it, a sinister part of him (the vengeful scary one that wants to kill and maim and destroy) screaming that you belong to him from now on, that you’ll never leave, that he’ll never let you.
Mine, and mine alone he thinks and the thought sounds jarring and loud inside his head as he leaves bruises all over the skin that surround the buds of your chest, making you gasp over his lap.
“What? Wanna say something?” Tomura teases watching your expression, your eyes going wide the moment he slides your panties to the side and press his fingers inside you without warning.
“T-oh…Tomura…fuck…ow” you try to articulate but the words come out as blurred whispers.
“No bickering now?”
“Oh god…Tomura…please” you cry trembling, mouth watering with every touch of his palm over your nerve.
“Please what.”
You hide your face on the crook of his neck to bite him hard enough to make him bark an excited laugh, rejoicing in the fact that you are marking him too, before hooking his fingers inside you to make you moan loudly; hips moving automatically as one of your hands reach the hem of his pants and unbuttons his jeans to touch him back.
“I want you inside.”
He lets out a pretty hiss the moment your fist close around his length, caressing him tentatively until finding a pace, giving you a little victory over his rough teasing.
“I wanna tear you apart” he growls reaching deep inside of you, a wolf like grin slicing across his face baring his sharp teeth “you are a mess. All wet and begging for me to fuck you.”
“Tomura…”
“Fuck…you are so wet, all for me…my good girl, my good girl.” The words pour out of his mouth in feverish tone as his other hand clear the hair off your face before catching your lips on his again.
“Tomura, please…”
He snaps, turning you onto the mattress to climb over your body, throwing his jeans to the floor before leaning between your thighs as his hardness brushes over your clothed center. His patience has run thin though, so he yanks the panties by one side, closing all five fingers over the piece of fabric that flews to the floor before transforming into dust.
He lines up with your center, feeling the intimate touch before thrusting deep into you, ripping out a high moan that makes your eyes roll back and your nails dig into his shoulders, leaving scratching marks all over his pale skin in an attempt to steady yourself as your walls burn with the stretching.
No, he isn’t gentle this time, he just can’t bring himself to be soft when he feels like the awful infatuation he’s been harboring inside is about to tear his ribs open, pouring out for everyone to see the bloody mess you’ve made of his heart. So, he thrust hard like punishing you for it, snaping his hips fast and deep into you, trying to leave a bruise mark inside as well as one of his hands tangles between your hair, pulling and making you scream to the rhythm of your creaking bed.
He bottoms out the moment his arm hooks under your knee, as you tangle your other leg over his waist, giving him deepest access into you, his tip planting kisses against your cervix, rough friction and raw closeness sending you over the edge because he’s fucking you hard, making sure your screaming can be heard from the hall of the building.
It's brutal, yet you give him everything he wants and more because you like it like this, you like it because is him. The warmth of his body covering yours and you wonder if he can feel it too.
The terrific need of holding onto his body, his wicked smile, his bruised heart. The horror of your attachment to a person like him and what this represents, at the brim of ruining your life for love…
Love.
You are so in love with him.
“Look at me” he demands pulling your hair, a feral snarl across his sharp face darkening his features before kissing you hard, his tongue filling your mouth in lewd motion. “Fuck, you are so tight…I wanna split you in half.” His voice is a coarse and maddened sound against your lips, so close and intimate it’s scary because he’s sinking so deep it feels like he’s trying to rearrange your insides and his words do nothing but intensify the heat.
“Fuck…Tomura…it hurst…you’re so rough…so rough” You manage to blurt out, eyes boring into his.
“And you love it, don’t you?” he snarls tightening the grip on your hair. “You like how it feels…like I’m gonna split your pretty cunt in two. Huh? Say it, say it…”
“Fuck…yes…yes”
“Yes what.” He barks in a particularly harsh thrust that makes you scream like a wildling.
“I love it…fuck…like that…I love it…I love it.”
“You are mine…you hear me?” he prays over your mouth half ordering, half begging for you to go down with it and say that yes, that you’ll never leave him, that you’ll stay with him “All mine to fuck, mine, mine, mine, MINE!” he growls with every thrust as the bed slams hard against the wall until you are a babbling incoherent mess.
His brutal pace and words get you quiet soon, too much to even make a sound and hardly even allowing you to breathe, too concentrated in the feeling of his length and him smashing into your ending wall as the overwhelming touch of his hips and his abdomen on yours burns your skin.
The brush of his hair and ragged breathing fanning over your cheek is the only compass of time while the tightness in your belly threatens to snap the moment your teary eyes meet his, mouth on mouth without even kiss, but you smile to him, your warm hand caressing softly the skin of his jaw as he tears into you, feeling incapable of telling him what the voice of your mind has been playing over and over again.
I’m in love with you.
Like sensing your thoughts, his hands abandon your hair. Four trembling fingers cuddling your cheek, carefully and almost scared before closing his eyes, letting his forehead rest on yours as he whispers sweet words of praise only for you to keep, still forcing himself in and out of you. His mouth watering to the sight of your bouncing breast still trapped by your bra.
“ow…I’m gonna..Tomura…I’m gonna…”
The snap of his hips become erratic when finally you come undone on him, eyes rolling back and a cry that tears your throat open when your walls clench around his hardness making him moan as he keeps thrusting in and out, reaching his own end soon after; his hand closing tightly into a fist over the mattress as he grunts with his face hidden on the crook of your neck, filling you warm and slick until he goes soft inside of you.
Tomura pulls out and rests his head on your chest, his heart hammering against your belly, still trying to catch his breath; his fingers tracing mindless patterns over the shape of your waist, as your hands slide between the tangled locks of silver, lips laying little pecks over his crown.
Time slows down, minutes passing and quiet settles, he notices.
Quiet inside of him.
This is all he wanted from the moment he crossed the umbral of your door months ago. The insufferable itch silenced by the calming thump of your heart, fluttering softly behind the gate of your ribs and he wonders if maybe you’d have a room by your core where he could lay his bones to finally rest for a minute from all the rage and hate that burdens him.
Maybe you do have one, hidden and unspoken, a mirror of the one you occupy in the graveyard of his chest where he holds you beautiful and bright and…everything he doesn’t get to hate.
Yeah, he thinks you do. After all, he’s lying in your arms, isn’t it? You had caressed his face and marked his neck and back, all teeth and nails, to then crown him with a wreath of kisses, your body soft and still under his weight, while your hands brush carefully through his scalp.
He knows the feeling, he’s not stupid…but he doesn’t get to speak its name yet.
Is not that bad, after all. Being attached to you and the lullaby of your heartbeat could make him better, smarter, stronger. You could be another reason to fight and destroy. After all, in a society as rotten as this one, you’ll never be allowed to walk by his side if not by putting a bounty on your head too.
What the media would say about you? Would they catalog you as an S class villain? since your quirk is as deadly as it gets, you would be feared and hated. You can practically kill by just looking at someone and he’s not even sure if you really need to look to your target, after all.
And yet you are the kindest person he knows. If someone of the hero commission knew about this, you’d be hunted down despite your service as a doctor, despite your resolution to help whoever needs it, despite caring for those rotten and downthrown. And since you are critical of the system, you’d be reduced to just another animal to put down. Just like him.
Tomura swears he’ll decay every single person on the world before let that happen.
“Tomura…”
He rises his head to look at you, a question drawn across his face.
“Can you…move a little? My bra is killing me.”
“Ow…sorry about that.” He apologizes, curious eyes over the mark that the elastic has left over your skin as he sits by your side.
“Can you help me? I can’t reach the clip…”
“Sure…”
You bend over to give him better access to your back, feeling his fingers brush over your skin carefully, before liberating you from the elastic straps incrusted on your flesh.
Tomura leans forward, placing soft kisses between your shoulder blades, letting his forehead rest over your spine and the touch is so sweet that it makes you wonder if maybe he does feel the same as you.
You get your answer when his hand moves forward to cup your breast, middle finger carefully up, as the other slides down between your thighs, making you sigh, feeling his hardness brushing your hip.
He nuzzles against your cheek, until you turn to kiss him deeply, warmth pooling between your legs again as his fingers play lazy between your slick entrance and the bundle of nerves. This time though, you take your chance and turn over, sitting on top before taking his wrist to lay kisses over the soft skin of his pulse.
Your quirk flares alive and before Tomura gets to catch on your intentions, his hands stand secured high against the headboard.
“What the…ow fuck!” He moans the moment your hand close over his length, pumping until he’s losing his breath, a ragged laugh scaping his jagged lips “fuck…you are an evil woman.”
“I should be proud if you say so.”
You accommodate over him, lowering until he fills you, pushing his previous release deeper into you.
Your pacing is torturingly slow and intense, soft moans and sweet whispers between languid kissed. Tomura watches hypnotized how your hips ride over the place you two connect, his crimson eyes half lidded as he lets you take him, before finally releasing your hold.
He touches you carefully this time, palming over the curve of your hipbone and your belly, index finger up as he wonders how deep is he, trying to feel himself from the outside, before pushing down to sink deeper into you, hitting the fragile spot where he makes you cry.
“I like you like this…” he speaks softly, looking you up from behind his eyelashes as you ride him slowly.
“How” your word is a whisper against his lips.
“Bare…” he rasps, his voice luring you into his embrace, spilling sweet nothing into his ear as he mumbles over and over again.
“My good girl…you are so good for me…”
This time you reach your peak softly. A sweet thing that fills you gently; walls fluttering around his oversensitive length while you keep rocking him until he stuffs you again, finally both falling back into the mattress side to side, already drifting into sleep, both tired and content.
A light touch catches your attention before falling unconscious. Tomura´s pinky hooks on yours as a silent plea, so you spill a peck over his shoulder before resting your temple on it, a sweet gesture that makes his heart tremble with fear and excitement for all the right reasons.
So, he does what he wants, sliding his arm under your neck and moving your head to rest on his chest. Over his heart he lays a fist for you to grip gently by the wrist before finally crowning you with soft kisses as the steady beat of his heart lulls you to dream.

Not Much of a Slave
Summary: @xbreezymeadowsx requested some Lady D love. We can all agree she needs all the love. (WARNING: Mentions of rape 18+ only please.)
Tumblr media
Brianne fidgeted with her apron for what seemed like the thousandth time that morning. The lady and her daughters would be calling on her soon, she needed to be prepared for any eventuality. She knew that they could kill her in a heart beat her blood being of no use for her ladyship’s wine. She shivered as she remembered Anton’s alcohol laced breath on her face as she cried for help that never came.
She could still see the look of betrayal on her father’s face when she arrived home. Her mother knew that the occurrence wasn’t one done willingly from taking one look at her ripped dress and reddening cheek. Her father however saw it as a slight and believed it to be staged in order for her to get out of punishment for laying with men while out of wedlock. Her mother’s gasp of outrage rang through their home at his blatant disbelief of their youngest child, your elder sister having married as soon as she was able.
//flashback//
“She’s of no use now,” he said hatefully.
“She was raped Jonathan!” Her mother yelled angrily, “How many a young girl has been hurt in such a way by Anton? You know more than well that he’d do such a thing when he is heavy in his drink.”
“You’d believe her sob story woman,” he said spitefully, “Don’t you see she’s playing you?”
Her mother scoffed, “Yes because one can rip their own dress in such a way and hit themselves hard enough to bruise.”
His glare did not waver and said, “She’ll be sold tomorrow to the highest bidder.”
Her mother gave a shrill cry as she slapped him hard across the face.
Brianne looked on in shock and despair as her father made his decision known. She is to be sold like an animal then. Anton would probably buy her after his actions earlier that day. And should that be the case then her death was as sure as the sky is blue.
“Have it be known Johnathan Smith,” her mother began passionately, “That on this day, for your choice to disregard your youngest child and Mother forbid sell her, you have lost your wife.”
Your father scoffed an attempted to approach your mother.
“Do not presume I’ll give in,” she said eyes hard, “You’ve already made the choice and there is nothing I can do to stop it. You’ve taken the last of my children from me and I have nothing else to give. Stay away from me John.”
She guided Brianne into her room where her mother proceeded to clean her up as best she could.
“Let the shock run its course,” she said tenderly as she bathed you and changed you into your best clothes, “Better for it to make you hyperaware than in a complete haze.”
Brianne felt herself nod and let her mother fuss over her for the last time.
Once dressed, she sat with you through the night neither of you feeling well enough to sleep until dawn broke. She saw her father at the breakfast table and opted to sit as far from him as their small house allowed.
Breakfast was made for her and her mother, the latter letting father fend for himself, before they set off to the Duke’s. Her mother had said that if she couldn’t save you from being sold then she’d sell you to the one person that had the ability to set you free.
Little did the two of you know that freedom would come at a cost.
“We better make haste for–” Her mother cut Johnathan off.
“We’ll be at the Duke’s,” your mother said, “Whatever lei I get I will keep myself and use as transport, may life treat you as fairly as you treated us.”
Brianne looked at her mother eyes wide not expecting her to just make the choice to leave.
Her father remained quiet at this eyes wide as all seemed to hit him all at once, “You couldn’t...I forbid it!”
Her mother scoffed at this and said, “I remember forbidding you from doing anything rash against any of my children when we married. And yet you did, you made the choice to sell our youngest for something she had no control over.”
//time skip - 3 years//
You’d been in the care of the Duke for nearly a year when business took him to Castle Dimitrescu where her ladyship for some unknown reason took pity on you and bought you from the Duke’s service. The fat man seemed saddened by this and for the first time, possibly ever, haggled a for your price.
“90k,” the lady had said, “And that is my final offer.”
The Duke mulled over the offer and was ready to deny the lady again when he saw you shake your head. It was a nice chunk of change you knew, you are after all just part of the business.
//end flashback//
“Brianne!” Bela called giving the young woman a ‘playful’ shove, “Mother’s called for you.”
“Wouldn’t want to keep her waiting,” Cassandra said poking at Brianne with the but of her dagger.
“Don’t slice at her Cassandra,” Bela said with a laugh, “You know how cheese gets everywhere.”
“I do, which is why I play with her,” Cassandra replied with a cackle, “Her blood spilled will paint the hallway oh so prettily.”
The flies swarmed about Brianne as she made haste in going to her mistress’ side. She let out a fearful scream as the flies engulfed her and carried her through the hallway the sound of triplet cackles in her ears and around her as they went.
She yelped as she was practically dumped into the Lady Dimitrescu’s personal room. Brianne tried, and failed, to keep her wince and gasp of pain at bay as flies flew out from beneath her skin. The flies re-materialized as the three sisters, cackling as crowded her taunting her like wounded prey.
“What is the meaning of this!?” Lady Dimitrescu said loudly, standing to her full height.
Alcina Dimitrescu looked down to find Brianne heaving on the floor.
“And why is my personal servant on the floor?” She asked cocking a brow as she glared at her daughters in displeasure.
The sisters looked at each other in worry and curiosity. They’d always played with their mother’s toy, as they should since her blood is useless anyway they would take what they could get from her. After all, why should their mother care more for prey than her own daughters?
“She was being slow mother,” Bela said with a careless shrug.
“She is after all prey,” Daniella said backing up her sister.
“Should we not eat our prey mother?” Cassandra asked kicking Brianne’s arm as she was starting to stand.
“Enough!” Alcina said at Brianne’s pain filled gasp, “She is my personal servant. As my daughters you should know by now that while I share as it is ours to feast, when one is mine for my own use I expect that to be respected.”
The three girls cowered as their mother nailed them with a glare.
“Meaning that no one is to injure my personal pet,” she glared at them one last time before waving a dismissive hand at them, “Get out of my sight. You girls have disappointed me for the last time over my use of my pet and I’ve grown tired of it.”
The sisters glared at Brianne and Bela dared to take a swing at her in front of their mother.
Brianne cried out in pain as Bela’s hit sent her to the farthest wall.
Cassandra and Daniella dragged their sister out of the room before their mother could do anything the two in shock that their sister would go so far.
Her daughter’s gone, Alcina went to tend to their only living charge. She’d promised the Duke that the girl would remain unharmed despite her having paid a good sum of lei. Alcina has to admit that for some reason this girl pulled at her long dead heartstrings.
She picked up Brianne tenderly being careful of where she’s been hurt.
Brianne winced and said, “Their jealous you know.”
Alcina hummed as she ran a salve soaked cloth on her little pet’s cheek, “They will have to learn that a mother has needs.”
“They don’t understand why it is you are so caring over prey,” Brianne said honestly.
“You are not prey,” Alcina hissed, “You are mine.”
Brianne gave Alcina a tender grin and gave an experimental stretch.
“Better?” Alcina asked.
“Yes, ma’am,” Brianne replied automatically.
Alcina gave a her pet a grin and bent to her level. She ran her nose over the young maid’s neck breathing in her scent and blood.
“Good girl,” she said huskily, “I want you to come to me should my daughters get out of hand again. It is not their place to use you as they please.”
Brianne nodded at this but let it slide. While she’d do her best to let Alcina know there isn’t a guarantee that the sisters would leave her walking should a repeat performance occur.
“Good,” Alcina said, “Now we must go to the church, Mother Miranda has ordered a family meeting.” “Do you think she’ll show up to this one?” Brianne asked as she followed behind Alcina out of the castle.
“Not sure,” Alcina said and waited the appropriate time as Brianne helped her into the old car, “But for all these meetings she made clear that she’s been favoring Heisenberg lately.”
“Which is good,” Brianne said carefully.
“I suppose so,” Alcina said with a sigh, “After all the more attention is off me the more we can plan our escape. Donna’s been itching for company and Karl has promised that he will give me a signal when the time is right.”
“And the girls?” Brianne asked carefully.
“They shall either follow their mother or perish,” Alcina said pain in her voice and perfect features, “Mother Miranda’s goals do not include any of us Pet. And it took a human maid to tell me so.”
Brianne looked down submissively only to have Alcina raise her head up.
“Do not be ashamed my pet, you have done more for me than most have no matter how long or short their stay has been,” Alcina said with a gentle grin.
Brianne gave a silent prayer of the souls of her fellow friends and former neighbors.
In the church, Brianne kept her head down as she stood besides the bench Alcina sat in. Donna and Karl were already there and she was sure that Moreau was not too far behind.
“Good evening sisters,” Heisenberg said with a respectful nod.
Donna nodded and Alcina gave him a small grin and nod.
Before anyone could say anything Moreau walked in and not too long after Mother Miranda walked in. Brianne knelt behind Alcina’s bench keeping as low a profile as she could whilst the meeting was in session.
The meeting was swift, almost too swift for something to held face to face but she has no place to say anything. Least of all to the woman that can kill all of them with snap of her fingers should she want it. After Miranda left and Moreau not long after, Brianne took this time to stand and get the feeling back on her legs.
“Poor human can’t seem to find her sea legs,” Angie said with a squeal-y giggle.
Brianne sighed and held onto the back of the bench as the pins and needles thankfully subsided.
Angie kept poking and prodding cackling as she went.
“Oh is the human getting angry?” The doll asked before laughing again.
With a sigh Brianne looked to Donna and said, “I truly am sorry for this. Should my lady allow it, I’d gladly join you for tea and keep you company.”
Donna cocked her head at this confused by Brianne’s words.
“Whatcha gonna do about...hey what are you doing?” Angie asked when she saw the look in Brianne’s face.
“Fuck you crazy ass doll!” Brianne said frustratedly as she hiked up her skirt.
She gave a grunt as she gave Angie her best kick effectively sending the unsuspecting doll to the other side fo the church much to Donna’s dismay and Heisenberg and Alcina’s delight.
“About damn time someone shut that doll up,” Heisenberg said, “I have to say Alcina your girl does have some spunk.”
“I love you Donna,” Brianne said honestly, “But Angie has been grating at my nerves for months now. And this includes the errands I’ve run for my Lady.”
Donna nodded in understanding and quietly said, “Forgiven.”
Alcina had to grin at her pet, such spunk is truly a breath of fresh air. Luckily her human knew when to push and whom to push.
Brianne heard the sound of heavy boots and knew Heisenberg was close.
Brianne turned to face him and though he is a handsome man, her interests lay else where as she is certain he can see from the fading bite marks on her neck.
“Must be nice to have a warm body to feast from Alcina,” Karl said teasingly.
Alcina was going to say something when Brianne said, “Better warm body than a cold shower...that is if you know what that even is.”
Alcina and Donna laughed at the dig.
Heisenberg reddened under the beard before chuckling, “Well played buttercup.”
“You my dear have earned yourself a treat when we return home,” Alcina said standing bidding Donna farewell and a “glare” at Heisenberg, “What do you say to a present tonight?”
Brianne’s face brightened at this causing Heisenberg to scoff but grin before nodding at them and leaving to his own home.
“Yes ma’am,” she said teasingly.
Alcina grinned at her, “Good girl.”

Chapter 5: Takodana Castle
You figured it'd been about two weeks since you were first brought aboard the Slave I. It was hard to tell, traveling in space. Every "day" or so, the ship would land somewhere and Boba would go out on some kind of business. Sometimes he'd take you with him, tying you up to his belt like a dog. You never understood what he was up to as he'd talk to people in languages you didn't understand. But you welcomed the chance to get out of the ship and enjoy the fresh air.
Other times, though, he'd leave you alone in your cage. You didn't care so much for these moments. Being dragged around on strange planets on a leash may have been humiliating, but it was nothing compared to the crushing loneliness and boredom you already had to suffer as Boba piloted his ship around the galaxy. The one silver lining was that your tampon box had come with a little pencil and calendar to help keep track of your cycle. You instead used the pencil to start translating the box. You clearly remembered the symbols that had been on your wanted poster in that crazy shop, the ones that undoubtedly spelled your name. Using that as a starting point, you'd been able to decipher other words on the box and learn some new symbols. It was a simple way to the pass the time.
You'd also tried coming up with an escape plan, but that activity was less than fulfilling. No matter what crazy ideas you came up with, you'd inevitably find ways you knew they wouldn't pan out. Boba Fett was just too smart for you. Every outing he'd take you on, you were on the lookout for opportunities to break loose and run, or hide. But as soon as you'd spot one, the bounty hunter was already in the process of preventing you from taking it. Your other ideas involved you having physical capabilities you certainly didn't possess. It was maddening.
Today, you'd expected the hunter to leave you behind as he landed on a new unknown planet. You were prepared to entertain yourself by singing; you were too scared to let out more than a low hum whenever Boba was on board, so you were going to take advantage of the solitude and belt out every show tune you could think of.
But apparently Boba was changing up his routine now. He collected you from the cage, secured you to his waist, and promptly ushered you out into a leafy green world.
The two of you traipsed across uneven, mossy floor through what you could only describe as a jungle. Trees and shrubs jutted out from every nook and crevice. You stumbled multiple times, misjudging an unstable rock for a firm foothold. Eventually you discovered that by swallowing your dignity and hanging onto Boba's arm, you were able to make it with fewer scrapes and stubbed toes. He didn't offer you any help, but didn't protest to you clinging to him either.
After a few minutes of miserable trudging, you emerged in a clearing. Toward your left was glistening blue water. You smiled as it reminded you of childhood trips to the lake on your home world. But more impressive was the looming stone fortress in front of you. You gazed up at it in wonder and Boba forged on toward its entrance, pulling you with him.
The courtyard was littered with flags with varying colors and images on them. A massive statue of a female-looking creature with arms held high sat atop the tower above the front door. Though it was all visually overwhelming, you felt an odd sense of peace in this place. Even the helmeted man walking beside you, who was usually so uptight and somber, seemed to have relaxed a little.
As you approached the set of double doors ahead, you noticed one of the flags hanging above it had the same symbol from the armor on Boba's shoulder. It looked like a melting skull of a tusked animal. You'd always thought it was a random decal he used to look more intimidating. But seeing it on a flag on this planet suggested it had much more meaning. A dozen questions ran through your head that you ached to have answered. Where was he from? What did the skull mean? Did he miss home? Were there others of his kind flying around, capturing prisoners and collecting bounties? Or was he an outcast? A rebel? A traitor?
Inside the castle, you were greeted by a sign written in multiple languages. Your face brightened as you recognized one of the scripts as your own. Finally, something you could make sense of! It read, All are welcome (No fighting). Short, to the point, and incredibly comforting. It occurred to you, as you were lead deeper into the fortress, that the only times Boba had taken you on his excursions was when there was a clear indication of safety. The times he'd gone solo, he'd come rushing back on board as if chased. Once he'd even had a spot of blood on his armor.
You knew deep down it only meant he was dedicated to getting the five million credits on your head. But with your friends and family so far away and with no guarantee of you ever seeing them again, it was nice to know someone was looking after you.
There was a bar in the middle of the large room you now found yourself in. All manner of people and creatures gathered around it, chatting and drinking and laughing. A band played a jazzy tune on a small stage in the back. Booths and smaller rooms jutted out from along the surrounding walls. A litany of various languages reached your ears, and you were pleased to be able to understand a few of them. There were some species you recognized as well, though no familiar faces specifically. It seemed like all walks of life were represented, able to relax alongside each other as they enjoyed a reprieve from daily life.
You immediately fell in love with the place.
"Ah! Boba Fett!" a vibrant voice reached your ears, speaking your language. A tall, impeccably dressed older man practically skipped over, extending a hand to the bounty hunter. "It's been ages since you've graced us with a visit!"
Boba did not accept the handshake, saying only, "I'm here for Maz."
The man, a human but with orange-tinted skin, waved a dismissive hand. "Yes, yes, I know. She sends her sincerest apologies. An urgent, personal matter has taken her away for the foreseeable future. But she has a appraised me of your agreement and I am happy to help in her stead."
He gave an overdramatic bow, a wide grin plastered across his wrinkly face. You wished you had a helmet on yourself, so you could roll your eyes at this goofy man in privacy.
"Ah, and you, my dear, must be the precious cargo," the man turned his attention to you. His eyes scanned you over like he was assessing the quality of a diamond necklace. He held a hand out toward your face, as if to caress it, but both you and Boba stepped just out of the way to send the message. The man smoothly recovered, taking his hand back and chuckling softly. "No need to worry. I don't bite."
"My business is not with you, Elon."
Boba made to turn you back toward the door, but the man quickly jumped forward, his hands clasped in an almost prayer.
"Please, my good sir. I didn't mean any disrespect. Maz entrusted me personally to get you the information you need, and give it to you I shall. Please, this way."
He gestured with a sweeping arm toward a staircase that led to a second floor. A balcony wrapped around most of the below area, and you could make out more little nooks nestled in the walls. Boba was silent for a few seconds before begrudgingly leading you to follow the man upstairs.
Boba made you slide into the offered booth first. You were both on the opposite side of a table from the man called Elon. A curtain was pulled over the opening for a bit of privacy, making the air feel more stuffy. Muted sounds from the bar downstairs wafted through. You wished so badly to be out there, enjoying the liveliness, rather than cooped up in the company of an assassin and his business partner.
"Well?" Fett demanded, impatient. Elon shifted in his seat, glancing at the curtain as if someone might open it at any second, but he still had a smile on his features anyway.
"To the point, as ever," he laughed, taking out a cigar. Ugh, you felt yourself dreading the inevitable cloud of smoke that would fill this tiny space. Now you wished you'd just been left in the ship.
"So there isn't much to share, unfortunately. Your man never stays in one location for long. No name, no real descriptions. But Maz did find something that may prove useful."
Elon paused with a smirk, waiting for Boba to beg him to continue. But when the plea didn't come, and no other words or sounds for that matter, he huffed on his cigar and started digging in his jacket pocket.
You didn't think you had to pay attention to their conversation, believing this to be some side hustle the hunter had picked up while transporting you. So it didn't register they were discussing anything related to your situation until Elon set down a device onto the table that you instantly recognized.
"Hey..." you started to say, reaching for the device. But Boba was quick to snatch it up, twisting it around to inspect it.
"What is it?"
You didn't care about your status as his prisoner. You grabbed the object from his hands and held it tightly to your chest.
"It's mine."

My Sweet Prince (2.0)
“What do you do when you’ve done all that there is to do? When you’re too bored to do nothing and yet too tired to do something? When you want to talk but at the same time not?
Well, everyone knows I love to sing and, in times like those just described, I prefer to only sing to myself; to sit in the forest and play my cithara for no one in particular but the random fauna that decide to stay and watch.
It was a morning like any other, or at least it was supposed to be.
There was a prince, Hyacinthus, who had set off with his dogs to go hunt in the wooded outskirts of his kingdom. I imagined him to be confused, for it must’ve been quite the strange sight to behold; the trees nothing but silence for hours and hours on end. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, when he and his hounds managed to catch a scent, it was accompanied by a song, and the voice was not of a bird’s. It led them into a small clearing and instead of drawing his bow, the hunter froze.
There was, in the middle, what he perceived to be a fair maiden strumming on their lyre; golden hair shimmering under the sunlight as a wide range of animals sat around them. The young man was entranced, and so were his dogs, so for a while he just stared until the musician finally decided to acknowledge the new addition to their audience.
The notes slowly faded but, before the singer could say a word, Hyacinthus snapped out of it and spoke first.
“I’m sorry miss but… Who the hell are you?” He slowly approached, cautious of all the critters. “What in Zeus’ name is a lass like you doing out here of all places?”
I raised an eyebrow, but I decided to play along. “Oh you know… boredom.”
“I assume your father’s somewhere close by, then.” He glanced around, and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Oh no, I came here to have some me time with myself.”
Hyacinthus looked dismayed. “Not even a brother, cousin, or a friend?”
I shook my head; he frowned.
“It’s not safe to be all alone out here.” He insisted. “As a prince, it is my duty to protect-”
And alas, it was in that moment that he had accidentally stepped on the tail of a lion. Fortunately, a second later, a silver arrow rushed by; barely missing the young man and piercing the cat’s heart. The rest of the animals took this as a sign to scram.
Hyacinthus blinked, and muttered a silent prayer to the god of archery. Ironically, this is what he said immediately after:
“See my point? Come on, I’ll escort you back.”
He reached his hand out to assist me, but only got a punch to the face in response. As he staggered back I took the opportunity to speak in my normal, deeper voice.
“Really??”
Needless to say, the mortal was mortified. Gazing into my sapphire eyes, he suddenly understood. He hastily tried to get his shit together, smiling in embarrassment.
“A-” “Apologies my lord. I suppose you’re just… that enchanting.”
I scanned him from head to toe. My instincts told me he wasn’t lying; it wasn’t merely empty flattery. “Hm… I suppose you’re not that bad yourself.”
“Ah well, of course! I’m Sparta’s heir after all.” He proudly exclaimed. “Still though, I am, uh terribly sorry for interrupting your song-”
“Save your apologies; it’s fine. I’m not going to smite you for that.” I sat down and placed the cithara back on my lap. “In fact, you’re welcome to stay if you so desire. I won’t mind.”
“But you said you wanted some time alone?”
“Away from the other gods, I mean.”
Hyacinthus was reluctant, but his puppers seemed eager to hear me continue my song.
“…alright. Only for a bit, if that’s okay with you, Lord Phoebus.” He said, sitting next to me; the dogs following suit. I suppose he had nothing better to do. Then again, how could he?
I smiled. “Please, just call me Apollo.”
Unbeknownst to Hyacinthus a ‘bit’ was quite the understatement. It was like time itself ceased to exist, and for once that wasn’t such a bad thing.
Soon the sun was setting and the prince was leading his pack back to the palace. I chose to stay. It was then that the west wind materialized before me.
“I was just passing by, so here’s a quick tip.” Zephyr murmured. “If I were you, I’d restrain myself. He’s already caught the eyes of two other gods and one mortal.”
“And you’re telling me this because?” A smile crept its way onto my lips.
“…what’s with that look?” He frowned; I said nothing as the god slowly fizzled out into thin air.
Hyacinthus had invited me to go out and hunt with him!
As expected of two skilled hunters, the trip went exceptionally well. Still, as we sprinted through the trees, I couldn’t help but sense the eyes of someone else; immediately knowing who it was. If Hyacinthus knew too, then he merely chose to ignore that suspiciously strong scent of spring. Still, I had a little sympathy for the intruder. The prince was easy to like, and I’m sure many have fallen for his bodily charms alone.
When we paused for a break, I said:
“Has anyone ever made a move on you before?”
Hyacinthus froze; I held in a chuckle. It was easy to see his attempt at holding my hand just as the question was asked.
“At least three other men have, but I’ve rejected them all.” He then quickly added, “That isn’t to say I’m only into woman though!”
I laughed. “Having trouble finding the right one?”
He stared a bit before suddenly grinning. “…Who knows, for all I know, I already have.”
My answer was a line I’ve paraphrased a hundred times. “Because I’m smart, talented, and very hot?”
“Maybe.” He inched closer. “But it’s also because of, or rather, how you smile.”
That response was a little… refreshing. A faint flush of red spread around my cheeks as I flashed a smirk, probably further proving his point. Then in the blink of an eye he leaned in; a hand holding my chin and his murmurs softer than any other breeze against my ear.
“May I?”
He only got a kiss in response.
However, even when the hunt was over and he was already making his way back home, I couldn’t help but… follow him back to Sparta, if only for a bit.
Turns out, Hyacinthus had showed up to his training with hundreds of flowers still intricately woven into his hair. It was hilarious how everyone else looked too scared to comment; well, except for Thamyris.
“What in the actual fuck?” He exclaimed.
“Okay, short version is: I fell asleep during the break after the hunting trip, so now there are a bunch of flowers in my hair.”
“Out of all of your suitors, you chose a god; hell, not just that, one of the fucking Olympians.”
“Who wouldn’t?”
I grinned, but then the other said: “Marpessa wouldn’t.”
Hyacinthus sighed. “Look, we all have our own preferences. Don’t tell me you’re jealous?”
“As if.” He turned around, about to leave. “Just don’t come back crying to me when shit goes downhill.”
I… suppose you could say that Thamyris had the kind of arrogance that reminded me of Marsyas. They both dabbled in music too. Hopefully he doesn’t end up making the same mistake that the satyr did. Thankfully, the prince seemed to be trying to ignore him.”
“…You know you could’ve just said “Sorry I’m late, I stalked my date.”” Athena raised an eyebrow; yet her voice carried not a single trace of annoyance. Doing their father’s paperwork was a task she was well accustomed too, and a very boring one at that.
“Hey! For the record I didn’t stay any longer after that conversation he had with Thamyris. Plus, it’s not every day that I almost forget about my duties. I figured you’d want a thorough explanation.”
“Well, as long as it isn’t too thorough.”
The god laughed. “Oh wait, shit-” “What was I doing again?” His eyes scanned the documents he forgot he was holding.
The goddess sighed. There was but one thought in her mind.
‘This is going to start happening much more often now, isn’t it?’
And she was right.
A few days later, Hermes was swiftly flying through the halls until he stopped in front of the studio’s door. He carefully pushed it open, but despite being the lord of communication, he couldn’t utter a single word.
It was late in the evening, and his brother wasn’t alone.
Apollo was sitting down, writing on a scroll, and behind him was a mortal curiously peering over his shoulder. Then the boy moved closer, and wrapped his arms around the blonde’s waist; tenderly whispering sweet nothings into his ear. To Hermes’ surprise, Apollo allowed himself to be pried away from his research.
The younger god decided to just slowly close the door.
Athena was right and apparently she didn’t seem to mind.
--------------
Thamyris wasn’t the only one with a complaint.
Hyacinthus was sitting under a cypress tree; trying to practice playing the lyre his lover had gifted him, when the breeze whispered into his ear.
“Look at it.” He said. “Your reflection in the water.”
The prince raised an eyebrow, but he glanced into the stream in front of him anyway. The top of his head was adorned with all sorts of flowers, no doubt due to the breath of the west wind.
“Hm… I think I liked it better when Apollo did it.”
Zephyr frowned; materializing seated down on his left.
“You’re not giving me a chance-”
“Except he already did.” Apollo sighed, suddenly appearing on Hyacinthus’ right. “For fates’ sake, take a hint and go blow someone else.”
The other god glared, but gave in, yet not before yelling something on a whim.
“So in one of the few times a mortal catches my fancy, you, who have already had many, get to have him instead?” He suddenly stood up. “You’re as greedy and insatiable with your lovers as you are with your domains.”
Apollo said nothing as the god disappeared into the wind.
Hyacinthus surprised him with a hug from behind.
“His argument is invalid. This isn’t just your choice, but mine as well.”
Still, after months and months of general bliss, the prince couldn’t help but ask:
“Those laurel wreaths you wear; they mean a lot to you, don’t they?”
The god felt his chest hurt. “Well, of course; there are many reasons as to why I care about them, one of them being that they remind me of something I shouldn’t ever forget because I don’t want to make a mistake like that ever again.”
There was a brief moment of hesitation before he continued.
“Hyacinthus?”
“Yeah?”
“Never doubt my feelings for you, okay?”
“I never did.”
“…even so, you really must know that, because of you, right now is the best I’ve ever felt in literal decades.”
“Oh don’t flatter me, sunshine.”
“You know I can’t lie. So really, trust me when I say that I’m here to stay.”
Hyacinthus’ eyes darted around the room as the musician’s head rested on his lap; the prince’s fingers twirling around in his golden locks. The floor was littered with paintings and marble statues of varying shapes and sizes scattered all over.
“Something caught your eye?” Apollo said as he saw his lover look at a painting of Crete. “You can take one of them home if you’d like.”
“Oh-” “Oh no it’s fine, really! I was just… enjoying the scenery.”
“Hm, you know I can take you there myself, right? Oooooh, imagine! A tour around Greece with yours truly.”
The boy smiled. His gaze shifted from a painting of Delphi to some art work of Leto, then Artemis, then Zeus, Athena and the rest of the other heavenly gods.
What he stared at the most were the ones next to those works about the Muses and the Thriae.
The names were many, Admetus, Cyrene, Branchus, Hecuba, Helenus… then there was Cassandra, Daphne, and an unfinished Coronis, and as he continued to look, the prince could’ve sworn he felt the god gently squeeze his hand.
“Everything alright, my Phoebus?”
The god smiled. “I’m just… tired.”
The prince leaned to give him a reassuring kiss.
Two years, or at least, about two years, their laughter almost lasted for about two years.
Alas, what’s two years in the life of an immortal that can never die?
--------------
Olympus’ garden was huge; its depths filled with paths most don’t even know of. It was here the two gods sat down on top of a small hill, right in front of a giant crevice that overlooked all of their creations.
“I hate how I can still feel a-” “and remember every single…”
Hermes was never good at these kinds of talks. “You wanna let it all out?”
Apollo sighed, carefully breathing in and then breathing out; repeating that process for a good minute.
Ai, ai, ai-
...
“It was a morning like any other, or at least, it was supposed to be.
The prince was an athletic young man, much like us, and there were many things that were done on the field. One of them involved the discus. He’d always try to run and catch the disc once I had sent it hurling into the air.
The crack echoed- no, roared, and my body screamed like every bone in my system had snapped a hundred times over.
I was by his side in an instant, cradling him in my arms until he was nothing more than a poor flower that had broke its stem; all due to the breath of the west wind.
It was so… quiet and I was so close; close enough that I could feel him go, like I could reach out and grasp his hand to prevent his soul from drifting away. I felt it all: the desperate breaths, the steady weakening of his heart and that last flutter of his eyelids as he looked at me, as scared and overwhelmed as I was with all that was happening and yet I-
I still failed. I’m the god of healing and medicine and I was right there, I was so close and he still managed to slip away!
If only he could take me with him too.
It was like time itself ceased to exist, the exact second that last spark of life faded into the depths of Hades repeating on and on and on, again and again and again-
My arms were hugging a lump of ice by the time Artemis found me.”
“…I heard you tried to murder Zephyrus?”
“W-” “Well... I think I recall hearing father’s voice when I had rushed into the halls.
“Athena, Apollo’s neglecting his duties.” He said. “When was the last time you saw him walk into Olympus?”
“Give him some more time and I’m sure he’ll-”
It was then that someone, the bastard himself, had noticed me.
“Fear not my lord.” Zeus’ old messenger, the west shit, proudly exclaimed. “He’s already here!”
And indeed I was, fingers stained with crimson red; purple petals falling out of my hair.
A smile crept its way onto Zephyr’s lips. “You’re welcome.”
Needless to say, I immediately started chasing him with my bow.”
“And then Athena stopped you, right?”
 --------------
It must’ve been quite the strange sight to behold for our winged eavesdropper. Apollo had a blank look in his eyes and Athena was standing in his way; Zephyr a little further down the hall behind her, curiously peaking over the corner.
Unbeknownst to any of them, Hermes was a lizard hiding inside of a jar.
“Athena, move.”
“Apollo,” Surprisingly, the goddess was perfectly calm. “Father has already retired him as his personal messenger, and he is now going to serve under Eros to repent for the very stupid thing he did in ‘the name of love’.”
“It’s not enough-”
“I know, and it’s never going to be enough.” Then she muttered. “Look, what happened with Pallas was much more justifiable than what this idiot wind bag did and even then, even if it was our father, to this day a tiny part of me is still pissed even if I knew he did it because he was worried about me.”
For a moment, the god was quiet. “Zephyr isn’t nearly as important.”
“But still crucial enough; I think it’d be best if we didn’t lose the west wind. Listen to your head, you know this isn’t worth it; it’s never going to be worth it.”
After a few seconds of silence, in the blink of an eye, Apollo was gone.
--------------
“I really am unreasonable, aren’t I, Hermes? Crying over beings much lesser than myself…”
“You knew you had your heart set upon a mortal, so I guess it does sound foolish to grieve over their mortality but… I think we’re all a little unreasonable sometimes. On the brightside, I’m sure you’ll meet someone new eventually. You are Apollo after all.” He offers his friend a reassuring smile.
The blonde smiled back, yet his eyes were impossible to read. “I suppose…”
“Is there anything you want to say? To Hyacinthus, I mean, if I encounter him down in Hades.”
..
.
“If we should ever meet again
No matter how long the wait
No matter how many lifetimes it takes
My arms will be glad to welcome you in an embrace
Until then, just know
That even when man has forgotten my face
And I roam the world as nothing but a shade
Your memory will continue, forever living on
In all the flowers that the earth will cover itself, bearing your name
Goodnight, my sweet prince”
And as Zeus’ newly appointed messenger left, Apollo decided to merely sing to himself; to sit on the hill and play his cithara for no one in particular but the random fauna that decide to stay and watch.
Athena was surprised to see him enter Olympus only a week after, even though she should’ve seen it coming. He is Apollo after all.
There were duties to fulfill.

Hey there, can you pls help a fellow writer? Here's the thing: I've been writing T70S fanfic for a while, and I feel that I'm managing to keep the characters in character, writing dialogue and their thoughts is easy for me now, but I'm having a whole lot of trouble with their body language.
For instance, when Jackie's really happy or excited about something, she claps her hands enthusiastically, smiles and gives those small adorable jumps. I've seen her doing that on the show and I try to bring that to my stories, but I'm having trouble writing her body language in other situations.
And that's a problem I'm having with all the characters. Like, I know Kelso and Eric both tend to gesticulate a lot with their hands when they're excited about something, but I don't know how to write them when they're scared, or sad, etc. Does that even make sense?
Anyways, I have no trouble writing about the character's feelings, I do have trouble when they need to express their feelings with something other than words, usually, their body language.
I want to give each character their own unique way to express themselves through their body. Like, Hyde and Eric, for example, will behave differently when they're like, really happy or really sad.
Hyde is not the type of guy that claps when he's really excited about something, he's a chill guy and he's the one I struggle the most to write when he's experiencing a strong emotion.
What I mean to ask is: can you give me some tips? I'm really struggling with this. Sorry if this was way too long, I don't even know if this ask made sense to you, but... well, I just could really use some help.
Hi! For my own T7S stories, I’ve made specific choices for the characters’ (emotional) body language based on my understanding / interpretation of who they are, and you can do the same. You’ve obviously observed quite a bit from the actors’ performances from the show, but I’ll describe body language you might not have spotted.
Jackie
She displays a variety of behaviors when she’s sad or upset, depending on what lies underneath her sadness. It also changes depending on her life experiences (basically, how many times her heart has been broken and by whom). You’ll find some commonalities in her body language when she’s upset, however.
When she feels hopeless or is grieving, she stays relatively still, sitting in one spot. She’ll hug a pillow or pick at a stuffed animal’s ear until her feelings overwhelm her. Then she’ll full-out cry while continuing to stay in one spot and picking at whatever she’s grabbed for comfort. See “Ski Trip” (1x13).
As she experiences more heartbreak, her stillness remains when she’s upset. She’ll stare off into the distance while crying. But unlike in “Ski Trip,” she sometimes cries silently. See “Kelso’s Serenade” (2x21).
When she’s depressed, she loses affect in her voice. Her movements are slower. See “Jackie Moves On” (2x22).
When she’s fighting to be understood -- whether she’s angry or sad or wanting desperately for someone to do something specific  -- she becomes animated. She makes pleading gestures with her hands. She’ll also place her hand on her heart.
When she’s fighting for her life -- her emotional life / happiness -- she’ll let snot run down her face while trying to get the other person to understand her needs. See “Don’t Lie to Me” (7x12).
When frustrated, she’ll slap her leg, slam a door after leaving a room, or even kick or pinch the other person. (No! Bad, Jackie!) See “Nobody’s Fault but Mine” (5x23) and “The Immigrant Song” (5x24).
When annoyed or disgusted, she’ll grunt or lean her head back -- or do both at once. With Eric, she’s also sneered. (Too many examples exist to list a specific episode.)
When she’s trying to coax someone to doing what she wants, she’ll do a subtle shoulder shimmy (which I bet she picked up from her mom). She’s done this with Hyde and, I think, Donna. See “Kelso’s Serenade” (2x21) for an example with Hyde.
When she has a sudden idea she thinks is important, she’ll gasp and put her hand on Donna, Kelso, or Hyde’s knee (depending on whom she’s talking to).
Jackie will rub a person’s knee or arm as an expression of emotional support. She’ll also lean her temple against a friend’s (or lovers) when she’s feeling affectionate toward them.
Honestly, I could keep on listing body language for her. But you can find it yourself by watching the episodes. Find an episode where Jackie experiences a specific emotion you’re looking to write into your own story and see how it’s portrayed. This advice stands for the rest of the characters, but I’ll list some body language for them, too.
Kelso
When he’s scared, he closes in on himself physically, trying to make himself a small as possible. He also shakes while doing this. Or he’ll scream. Or he’ll shove someone -- even a person he supposedly loves -- out of the way to get himself to safety. He’ll also find someplace to hide if he feels it’s necessary, usually under a pierce of furniture.
When he’s sad, he’ll cry. Sometimes he’ll hug something with sentimental value to his chest, like a photograph while crying. Or he’ll rip apart something symbolic of how he’s feeling, like a cookie shaped heart.
If feelings of anger or loneliness are mixed into his sadness, he’ll sometimes cry but it’s less forceful. He’ll slump to the couch.
If he feels particularly betrayed, he won’t look at the person who hurt him while in that person’s presence, even if they’re talking to each other.
When anger and betrayal mix, he’ll get physically violent -- usually, but not always, to his own detriment. He’ll run into a screen door then yank it off its hinges. He’ll shoot someone with a BB gun, etc.
When he’s confused, he often stares blankly with a strange expression on his face.
Eric
When he’s scared, the pitch of his voice rises. He’ll swallow more. Sometimes he stutters. He’ll fidget. He’ll look from side to side. He becomes hypervigilant of his surroundings.
Eric often expresses his anger either directly or passive-aggressively. When direct, he’ll shout his feelings and thoughts or speak them at a louder volume than normal. He’s not particularly cruel in what he says.
When passive-aggressive, he’ll smirk smugly while or after making a sharp insult. He’ll rest his hands on his hips or hook his hand / thumbs in his pants pockets in between gesturing. He’ll also laugh smugly while sticking out his tongue then blow a raspberry. This last sequence of behavior seems to be one he and Hyde share, so maybe one of them picked it up from the other while growing up.
If frustration is mixed with his anger, he’ll shout and shove furniture around.
When feeling a particularly overwhelming emotion, whether pleasant or unpleasant, he tends to get on the hood of the Vista Cruiser and look up at the sky. If deeply upset, he might cry silently and slam his fist onto the car’s hood. See “The Promise Ring” (3x25).
After making a devastating choice he believes is right but breaks his heart, he’ll shove his hands in his pockets, look down at the floor or his shoes, and stay quiet. See “Love, Wisconsin Style” (4x27).
The quality of Eric’s voice often reveals a lot about his emotional state. He’ll speak really quietly, not whispering, but as if trying not to scare away a doe when delivering bad news.
Fez
Fez is relatively open and direct with his emotional expression. When he’s sad, he cries. When he’s angry, he shouts. When he’s hurt-angry, he might cry-shout. When he’s happy, he might sing a song and/or do a little dance. Or he’ll hug and kiss his friends (male and female) when he’s grateful.
He’s generally not afraid to speak his mind. If his feelings are particularly intense, he’ll demonstrate his emotional state with a physical display (e.g., ”You dump Fez? I dump fries! There’s your scene!”)
When he’s scared, however, he sometimes pulls in emotionally to protect himself. He won’t speak his mind. Or he’ll clasp his hand in prayer, look up, and ask God for help or answers. He might disregard another person’s boundaries to feel safer (see “Ski Trip” when he’s cold). On the opposite end of the spectrum, he can become obsessive (e.g., calling Eric at three in the morning to ask if they’re still friends).
Fez tends to keep his hands on his hips a lot, regardless of what he’s feeling at any given moment. It’s one of his characterizing personality quirks.
Donna
When she’s angry, she can yell her feelings or an insult (or both). Or completely swallow her anger and talk / act as if she’s fine. She’ll stomp away after an argument, whether up a flight of stairs or to her yard. In season 3, she also takes on a quality of becoming emotionally distant and dismissive, which is reflected in her body language by maintaining a physical distance while looking the other person squarely in the eye.
When she’s sad, she’s doesn’t tend to cry. She’ll talk about what’s upsetting her with emotion in her voice. She’ll gesture with her hands or bite her thumbnail. If she’s discussing her feelings with Eric, she’ll hug him.
When she’s depressed, her posture slumps.
When she’s terrified or feeling betrayed, that’s when she’ll cry. She might reach out to the other person (Eric) with her hand.
Donna tends to act out and/or become self-destructive when she’s feels powerless. Her body language gains a swagger (her walk, her facial expressions, her tone of voice).
If she’s happy, she’ll gesture in excitement with both hands. She smiles and laughs, too, while explaining what’s made her happy.
Donna will hug friends and family to show emotional support.
Hyde
Hyde does not like people knowing how he’s feeling at any given moment, whether it’s happy, angry, sad, etc. But he does express emotion through body language.
When he’s nervous and he’s sitting, his leg might bounce or his foot will shake. More often, though, he’ll cross his arms over his chest protectively. This latter behavior is true for many of his emotions.
He’ll pace when he’s conflicted. Or stand still and pinch the bridge of his nose while considering all the variables of his internal conflict. He’s very careful when speaking or purposely revealing his (emotional) truth, and he might take a few breaths before actually saying it aloud.
He’ll also pace and scratch the back of his head he’s antsy or edgy.
Generally, though, he tries hard to suppress his feelings. This often makes him stand stiffly with his arms dangling still at his sides.
When he’s amused, he doesn’t hide it. He’ll chuckle or laugh. If he’s very amused, he’ll laugh hard and press his hands against his stomach. If he’s laughing that hard with a friend, he’ll hold onto that friend for support while lowering his head.
He’s rarely happy, but with Jackie he is. His joy beams out of him like sunlight. See his private moment with Jackie at the start of “Magic Bus” (6x03) and the circle scene with Jackie in “I’m A Boy” (6x08) for examples.
He’ll hug his male friends when they’ve been gone for months or they’re about to leave for a long time. He’ll also hug Kitty and Red when he feels happy for or grateful to them.
That being said, he doesn’t like when people hug him spontaneously. Depending on who’s doing the hugging, he’ll either shove them off angrily (Kelso, Fez, and Eric), endure the hug until he figures out how to make it stop (Kitty), or even panic a little (Roy). Hyde has to be the initiator or co-initiator of the hug. He likely feels trapped and out of control otherwise, which makes sense considering the physical abuse he experienced from his mom.
He’ll clasp or sling his arm around a friend’s shoulder in camaraderie or support.
If you’d like more advice about showing character emotion through body language, I recommend The Emotion Thesaurus: A Writer's Guide To Character Expression by Becca Puglisi and Angela Ackerman.
I hope this post helps! :D

The Deal Chapter 57
They aren’t gone long. Dad, Daryl, and the others when I hear a radio come to life and the chill that runs down my spine forces me to listen. The location’s changed. And I feel that chill turn colder. I no longer care that I can’t decide which of the men I love are in danger, I HAVE to stop it.
I’d stayed behind for everything since the death of Sofia. I watched, I bore witness, and it wasn’t enough. It weighed me down and it broke me. I was damned if it would happen again.
I found Tara, who was in charge while the others were gone, and asked her where the children were going to be kept safe. Together we talk about the best option, which is the main house, and the best caregivers. I can see that she’s staring at me with questions, but I don’t plan on sharing my plans with her. As she hands me a gun and knife, just in case, I walk back to the room where Judith is napping. I pick her up and take her down to the women who have been tasked with keeping the children occupied, quiet, and safe, and hand her off with directions. Keep her safe, make sure she’s alive when I get back. I feel like the ‘or else’ is implied heavily enough that I don’t have to say it out loud.
And then I walked into the office that the others had taken me to the first day. I know there’s a map somewhere, and I find it quickly enough. My eyes trace the pathways, the location that my dad mentioned practically glows in my eyes, and I work out how to get there fast. I take a horse, thinking that Daryl should enjoy the irony of me stealing Maggie’s horse to go on my own search, but that I doubt he will. I’m off, before anyone can raise an alarm with the extra preparations going on, and the road rises before me and all I can think of is stopping whatever madness that we’d all allowed to go on too long.
I hear the sounds of exploding and gunfire and I’m hoping beyond hope that I’m not too late. I push the horse forward, even if the poor animal would much rather run in the other direction, and I see it. A huge meadow, the opposing sides, and I close my eyes with gratitude that I’m not too late. And it’s almost like God mocks me because they rush one another. Christ.
I get off the horse and tie it to a tree far enough from the battle in front of me that it’s safe, but close enough for me to get to it if necessary. And then I move forward. By the time I reach the chaos, it’s over. Like a flash, the Saviors have surrendered, and I see them. My dad and Negan facing off.
Shit, I rush forward, past the sounds of voices calling my name. Past my family. Past Saviors and friends and foes. Drawn like a moth to a flame, I have to stop it. Stop them. Both of them.
By the time I reach them, they are going at it hand to hand by a tree that strangely has a stained glass panel dangling from its branch. Negan’s on top, but I hear Dad ask for a moment to tell him about what Carl had envisioned, and I stop, out of sight of the two of them, hoping against hope that they get it finally. But I see the flash of glass in my dad’s hand, and then blood and I’m screaming and rushing forward. I’m at Negan’s side, my hand clutching his against the flow of blood as the rest of our family shows up. I hear voices urging Dad to end it, as though I’m not at Negan’s side, as though I’m not trying to staunch the flow of warm blood as he stares up at me like he’s seen a ghost. I’m begging, pleading with Dad to think of Carl. To remember what he asked for, what he wanted so badly that he found peace in dying. I beg that he let him live, not to let him die, and I can hear the anguish in my voice. And the sobs building.
I don’t hear what Dad says. I see and hear nothing, but Negan, his eyes on mine as he’s fading, and him trying to say something. I shush him, praying that he won’t go, not now. And then Siddiq is there, and he’s pushing my hand away, and taking over. Saving him, the man I love and Michonne is trying to pull me away, but I’m fighting her, I won’t leave him. Not now.
I watch, helpless, as Siddiq works. I pray, silent and pleading prayers to let him live. Please not yet, not now.
“Jessi?” It’s Dad, and I can’t look away from Negan’s pale face to see him. “Honey, we have to move, there’s a horde.” I don’t care, I think, I won’t. “He’s coming, too.” And I see it now, Siddiq is getting him stabilized to move. I let him pull me away, and I hear him asking how I found them, how I got there so fast, and I’m trying to focus on his words, but all I can see is Negan’s blood. And when I look at my hands I realize I’m coated in it.
“Horse,” I whisper, and nod toward the tree line where I’d left it. “Let me,” I struggle to get my heartbeat and thoughts under control. “Let me go get it, and I’ll meet you back-” And I pull away and rush back to where the horse waits, needing the time to collect myself, even if I have no fucking idea what comes next.
I ride back to Hilltop slowly. Alone. I think about the calls for Negan’s death. My family who wants it so badly that they can smell it. I wonder, did Siddiq save him simply so he can have a more ceremonial execution? Will Dad stand up to the others, will they vote? Will I stand alone in wanting him alive? Was Carl wrong about everything?
When the gate’s in view, I see the smoke and my heart stops. Judith. And I push the horse into a run and am inside before I notice. Jumping down, I search for Tara. She sees me and I see all the questions on her face, but I brush them off.
“Judith?” I see her staring at my bloody hands and I ignore her. “JUDITH, Tara, where is she?”
And then, one of the women is rushing forward with my little sister, her blonde curls catching the sunlight and I have her in my arms. I don’t pay attention to the looks I get at the smears of partially dried blood staining Judith’s clothes, her skin, because she’s alive and safe. I kiss her head, telling her how much I love her and how happy I am that she’s alright.
I find them in the infirmary. Dad and Michonne, standing over Negan’s bed. I’ve cleaned up, given the gun and knife back, and have my newly washed sister in my arms. He’s still unconscious, and I feel their eyes on me as I stand close looking down at him.
“We can’t let him go,” Dad’s voice is quiet, to keep me or Judith calm I don’t know. “He’ll be a prisoner forever, Jessi.”
I don’t look up. Rocking Judith in my arms, I stare at one of the men who holds my heart. Is that enough? That he’s alive, but won’t be free? Can I live with that outcome? Can he? It’s better than what I’d feared for him. A public execution. A show of power and strength.
“Am I allowed to visit him?” Hushed, keeping my little one free of the tension rolling through me.
They’re silent and I close my eyes. If the answer is no, then I’m not sure what the point was in saving him. And then I know, because I wouldn’t survive if he’d died. Not after I found out he was alive.
“We’ll talk about it later.” Michonne offers and I nod.
My hand touches his, and I feel him twitch. His warmth. His strength. And I hope he understands.
Daryl finds me later. I’m in my room alone. Standing at the window, watching the sun set. I hear him come closer and I don’t fight it. I don’t warn him away. I don’t ask him to go. His arms wrap around me from behind and his chin is propped on my head. I let myself relax into his embrace. Let him comfort me, even if I know he doesn’t understand or agree. I let him give me what I’d always given him. A piece of himself, to replace a piece of me.
“Scared the shit outta me.” His voice is rough, and I smile. “All of a sudden, there ya were, and I couldn’t get to ya.” I hadn’t seen him. My focus elsewhere. “Nearly tore me in two hearin’ ya beggin’ like that, Jessi.” For HIS life, I added, for HIM to live. “Sounded like ya were dying yourself.”
I was, I thought. Watching his blood flow out of him, feeling its warmth coat my hands, I felt like it was mine. And I felt like I would die. Just like I would if it had been my dad laying there. Or Daryl.
“Ya care for him.” It was a statement, not a question. “Wish ya didn’t.” I closed my eyes. “But he did what I couldn’t.” I felt my throat grow tight. “Found ya and brought ya back.” The tears started without warning and I cried as he held me, remembering how observant Daryl Dixon really was.
Daryl held me that night. In my bed, while Dad and Michonne took care of Judith, he held me and whispered to me how much he loved me. That he would always love me. That he couldn’t stand to see me in so much pain, but that he’d hold me together forever if I let him. He listened to my sobs, letting me cry for so many things that I lost track.
For Lori, who I couldn’t put down so Carl didn’t have to. For Andrea, for not believing that ANYONE could learn to survive, and if they couldn’t, they should be protected. For Mika, for not seeing and warning everyone of my fears about her sister. For Lizzie, I didn’t see her clearly until too late, and maybe if I had then she could have been stopped, without her or her sister dying. For Tyrese, for Bob, for Noah. For everyone I didn’t pay enough attention to, for not seeing the danger, for not helping. For Abraham. For being too late. For being too weak. For not asking for help in time.
For Carl, dear God, Carl. If I’d been there, if I’d read his letter and took it to heart and asked to participate, to discuss options. Would it have come to this? Would Negan be lying in the infirmary with the axe of being forever imprisoned hanging over him? Would Daryl need to listen to my breaking heart? Would Dad have to have gone against the others, the ones that wanted him dead? If I’d spoken up. If I’d acted. If I’d been there from the beginning.
I eventually ran dry of tears and my guilt was still heavy, but I needed to stop. Crying, letting my emotions run amok wasn’t going to fix anything. I turned in Daryl’s arms and looked into his face. His eyes were so tight with pain, his own pain at my outburst. At knowing that Negan and I, that he wasn’t the only one in my heart.
“You’re still beautiful, Daryl Dixon.” My hand rose and I let my fingertips trace his lips. “Every bad thing, every dark moment, and yet, you are still as gorgeous as you were the first time we kissed.”
He let me touch him. The angles of his face. Brushing away his too long hair, his scruffy chin, his blue eyes studied me as I reminded myself of his familiarity. His arms were still around me, his head on the pillow, and with nothing more than the light of the moon he drank in the very sight of me.
“Ya’ve always been beautiful, Jessi.” He whispered, letting one of his arms release me, and touching my cheek with his own hand. “Beautiful and giving.” His thumb brushed my lower lip and he smiled sadly. “Didn’t deserve ya.”
I was about to ask if he meant Negan or himself, but he leaned in and kissed me and I let my words die. Daryl’s kisses were always so soft and sweet. His lips showed me how much he’d memorized about me, letting his kiss grow more passionate and sighing when I returned it. Our tongues touched and I knew, even with Negan nearby recovering. Even with my begging for his life. I wanted Daryl. Now. Here. I wanted to get lost in him. To remember how we felt together.
Our clothes fell away, and when he slid into me, I remembered every single moment we’d had together. Every hope, every promise, every touch. And when we lay entwined in the afterglow, I wondered how it was possible that one person could be made for two completely different men. Because Daryl and Negan, I knew, were made for me and I was most certainly made for them.

The opening and closing of the front door brought you out of your books and you heard Rosa’s voice echo through the building. Snapping your book closed and tucking it under your arm, you made your way down the stairs, hearing Eugene’s voice soon after. He must be playing another one of those video games. Rolling your eyes, you took a few more steps into the kitchen, Darla running right past you.
“Is that him? Oh, my gosh, Billy!” Darla exclaimed, running forward and wrapping her arms around the boy’s waist, ignoring Victor’s warning of slowing down.
“And that’s Darla,” Rosa chuckled.
“I’m Darla,” the girl grinned up at him, her thick glasses sliding down her nose.
A small smile wandered onto your face as you looked upon the scene, only to have your name called moments later. “(Y/N), come say hi to Billy!”
You waved at the boy who looked to be about the same age as you, if not a little older. You plucked your notebook out of your pocket and wrote a small note to him. ‘Hello.’
“She’s mute,” Victor explained, casting you a sideways glance, “childhood trauma.”
“Oh, I didn’t…” Billy began, pity filling his eyes.
You waved off the apology before turning to Rosa. ‘Do you need help to set the table?’ You signed, a bright smile on your face.
“I’m doing it!” Darla exclaimed, pouting her lips at you before her eyes lit up, “oh yeah, the poster! I made you one! Come, look!” Tugging Billy along, Darla rushed into the dining room, you following loosely behind. “Oh, no…”
There on top of the pink paper were two extremely heavy looking weights. Underneath the weights, however, were the words ‘WELCOME HOME NEW BROTHER’ in pink glitter glue, silver rhinestones decorating the edge. “Sorry, Pedro must have been working out…” In a poor attempt to save the poster, the young girl tugged at a corner, only for it to rip. You and Rosa cringed as Darla passed the corner to Billy.
You smiled thoughtfully, signing to Darla, ‘I can fix it with tape.’
Before she could respond, Mary came walking into the room, a phone against her ear. You rubbed your arm awkwardly as Victor and Mary exchanged a few words before pulling out your notebook once more. ‘I hope you like it here.’ You wrote quickly, watching in anticipation as Billy read the note. He offered a hesitant smile before Darla asked him a question.
“Do you like vegan food? See, I love animals.” A high pitched beeping sounded from the kitchen and the young girl pushed her way past her family. “Oh, no…”
“Oh no, we might have to eat a real turkey!” Victor exclaimed before running off to help Darla.
Billy looked from you to Rosa, “is that…”
“It’s okay, come, I’ll show you to your room. (Y/N), do you wanna come?”
You nodded eagerly before following the two up the stairs, running into Pedro who said nothing. “Is he also… you know…?”
“Oh, he’s just quiet. He can talk a lot when he wants to.”
You shrugged, signing, ‘Pedro can be nice, though.’
“I’m sorry, I don’t understand,” Billy frowned, looking sympathetically at you.
Nodding in understanding, you waved the apology off once more as Rosa continued her tour, “Freddy, this is Billy Batson. Please make him feel at home, okay? Maybe don’t say anything too weird.”
“Oh, one weird thing,” Freddy began, but you were already out the door.
***
After the Victor said his prayer at the dining table, Billy asked his dying question. “Can all of you understand sign language?”
You coughed, choking on your water. Mary looked at him, eyebrow raised. Eugene huffed at him, holding onto your arm (out of the other kids, he was most attached to you). Pedro was indifferent while Freddy looked insulted, and Darla… well, Darla slapped his arm. “That’s rude, Billy!”
‘It’s ok,’ you wrote, ‘I’m used to it.’
You nodded at Rosa, who quickly explained. “Victor and I knew sign language before we met (Y/N). It was just by chance that we happened to adopt her. She’s a sweet girl, Billy, she’s not that bad.”
“I know, I just wanted to ask,” he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, “Sorry if that made you uncomfortable, (Y/N).”
‘Don’t worry abt it,’ you wrote quickly, ‘I’m fine.’
***
School the next morning was the same as any other day. You got teased, picked on, mocked, the whole shebang. But today was special. After all, Billy was joining the school and you finally had someone to talk to. Or rather, just to hang out with. Sure, there was Freddy, but all he talked about was superheroes and pop culture, and that was enough to bore anyone. At some point, you had to just drone him out with a note that asked, ‘did you do the maths HW?’ to get him to shut up.
You walked silently into the school while Darla explained things. “This is our security scanner,” she said, taking her bag off, “like in an airport. It’s totally safe.”
“I know what it is,” Billy said awkwardly before turning to you, Pedro and Eugene who were standing behind him. “Is she always like this?”
The three of you nodded in confirmation and you shot Eugene a warning glare as he continued to play on his phone.
“Signs make me uncomfortable,” the little girl continued.
“She’s almost never uncomfortable,” Eugene responded, only to have his arm flicked. “Hey!”
‘Don’t be mean,’ you signed and the boy huffed.
Walking into the hallway, Darla attacked Billy with a hug around the legs. “Have a good first day, big brother!”
“Look, you don’t have to hug me all the time,” the brunet said, pulling away from the embrace, before crouching down to eye-level. “We’re not actually brother and sister, so…”
It pained you to see the disappointment in the girl’s eyes as she looked downcast. “Oh… I’m sorry,” she whispered softly and Billy’s smile evaporated.
Darla turned around and walked down the hall, Freddy noticing her immediately. “Hey!”
“Hey…”
He wrapped his free arm over her shoulders, Billy calling out, “I didn’t mean to make her-”
Freddy just shrugged before walking Darla down to her class. ‘Don’t worry,’ you wrote on your paper, ‘Darla is a strong girl. Ik you’re not too fond w us.’
“I didn’t mean to make her cry,” the boy repeated himself, a frown on his face.
‘Let’s just go to class, ok?’
“Yeah, okay.”
Lunch came around and you sat beside Billy at a lunch table, eating you gross cafeteria food. The two of you sat at lone table, as per usual, when Freddy limped towards the table. “Flight or invisibility?” He demanded as he sat down, roughly placing his tray of food on the table. He dropped his crutch and turned to face you and Billy. When no answer came from either of you, he asked again, “if you could have one superpower, flight or invisibility? What would you pick?” Not letting you answer, Freddy began to ramble. “Everyone chooses flight! You know why?”
“So they could fly away from this conversation?” Billy asked sarcastically and you snickered from beside him.
“No, ‘cause heroes fly,” Freddy said, ignoring his statement. Billy rolled his eyes and went to stand up. “And- and, who doesn’t want people to think they’re a hero, right?” He continued to talk as Billy left the table, “but invisibility, no way, I mean, that’s pervy! Spying around on people who don’t even know you’re there? Sneaking around everywhere, that’s a total villain power, right?!” He yelled out the last words and the cafeteria turned silent as all heads turned towards him. Freddy huffed, grabbing his food and his crutch before chasing after his new brother.
“No,” you whispered under your breath, eyes on your food, “no one wants to be invisible because it hurts.”
“Hey, hey, hey, look who it is! Our second favourite foster child to pick on!” An oh-so annoying voice exclaimed. You didn’t need to turn around to see who it is.
“Wait, so who’s our first?” Burke asked his brother, smirk on his face.
“Freddy, of course, you brother of mine!” Brett snickered, “what are you gonna do, cry? What, are you sad you don’t have a real family?”
The two boys let out a laugh, high-fiving each other before leaving you alone. For some reason, if you could choose between flight and invisibility, you would choose flight. Then you’ll have both powers.
School came and went, and you walked beside Darla as you walked down the stairs. “How was your day, (Y/N)?”
‘Same as usual,’ you signed.
You looked to the front, only to see a car almost run Freddy over. You let out a scream, grabbing Darla’s hand and whipping Eugene’s phone away from him. Ignoring his cries of protest, you ran over to where Freddy was, helping him up. The car doors opened up to reveal Brett and Burke Breyer. You held in a groan.
“What the hell?” Mary snapped, “What is wrong with you two?”
Brett scoffed, pushing Freddy against the car with his shirt. “No way that’s gonna buff out.”
“You gonna pay for this, Freeman?”
“For the dent you made almost hitting me? Yeah, sure, you take these?” He pointed his middle finger in the air and you slapped your palm against your forehead. The boys let out sarcastic chuckles as they pushed your foster brother to the ground, relentlessly kicking him in the stomach.
“Brett, stop!” Mary yelled.
“Don’t touch my brother!” Darla cried.
“What, you need your fake family to stand up for you?” Burke laughed.
“Stand up for yourself, Freeman,” Brett laughed.
“Here, Freeman, stand up for yourself!” Burke snickered, shoving the crutch in Freddy’s face mockingly.
“What about you, (L/N)? Can’t do anything for your ‘brother’, can you?” Brett sneered.
“Leave him alone…” you mustered, feeling eyes at the back of your head.
“I can’t hear you!”
“Leave him alone!” You yelled, only to be pushed by Burke to the ground. You let out a cry when he kicked you in the stomach, trying to use your arms to block the blows.
“Pathetic,” he muttered before turning back to Freddy.
“What are you gonna do, go home and cry to mommy?” Brett taunted, bending down. “Oh, yeah, you don’t have a mommy!”
You got up to pull Brett away from Freddy, but apparently you didn’t have to. “Hey.” A voice sounded, and Burke turned around only to be hit in the face with Freddy’s crutch. Hitting Brett in the crown-jewels, Billy let out a sarcastic snicker. “Man, sorry about that. That wasn’t fair, but then again, you don’t fight fair.”
Burke let out a scowl, pushing Billy against the car and punching him harshly in the stomach. “Back off, ass-bags, I know how to use these!” Eugene snatched the nun chucks from Burke’s pocket and whipped them around before hitting himself with them.
Billy took the distraction and bolted away from the scene, the bullies about to start chasing them.
“Stop!” You screamed, pulling Brett back by his jacket.
He scowled at you, “let go, bitch!” he kicked you in the shin before running off to chase after Billy.
You whimpered in pain, clutching your shim as the boys left your view. “Freddy!” Your eyes lit up in remembrance, and tried your best to help him up.
“Take it easy,” Mary said while Pedro, Eugene and Darla helped Freddy up.
“I’m fine,” you mumbled, but you knew a bruise would start to form from where they hit you. Boy, did you hope Billy was okay.
***
You buried you head in your knees, hot tears flowing down your cheeks. The others were downstairs; Rosa was calling the police while Eugene and Mary were trying to find Billy online. Darla sat beside Mary, working hard on another craft project, while Pedro was doing… something.
If only you were stronger than this. Maybe if you had the strength to do something, Billy wouldn’t have run away. You wiped your face with your jumper sleeve, your eyes filling up with tears once more. Memories filled your head from before Rosa and Victor adopted you, and you choked back a sob.  You whimpered, clutching your stomach that Rosa had wrapped in bandages; there was already a purplish bruise growing at the surface.
‘You’re weak.’ A voice echoed from the back of your head. ‘You can’t even speak.’
“Yes I can…”
‘It’s your fault mom isn’t here anymore. It’s your fault dad is dead.’
***
“You’re a bastard!”
“Lauren, how much did you have to drink?”
You crouched down from behind the bookshelf, a frown on your face. Why wasn’t dad looking for you?
“You have some nerve showing up! How’s your little mistress, Soren? How is she?!” Your mother let out a scream, the weapon in her hands shaking.
“What are you talking about?”
“Don’t be an idiot! You’ve been seeing her, haven’t you?! That’s why you show up late every day!”
“Lauren, I’m not cheating on you.”
“LIAR!” And that was all you heard when a deafening bang echoed around the house. Everything was happening in slow motion; the bullet made its way to meet your father’s chest, and your mother was screaming. Or maybe that was you. Maybe you were the one who was screaming, whether it be from fear, sadness, or shock. You heard sirens in the distance, and you heard the gun in your mother’s hands clatter to the floor.
“Hey, are you alright?” You burst into tears.
“I would like to call the prime witness, (Y/N) (L/N), the defendant and victim’s daughter.”
‘Just tell the truth,’ you repeated the words the prosecutor had told you.
“Who hurt your dad, (Y/N)?” The prosecutor asked, fixing up his cravat.
You frowned, recalling the incident. “Mommy did.”
“SHE’S LYING!” Lauren screamed when the judge gave his conviction, “YOU’RE A LIAR, (Y/N)! YOU’RE A DISAPPOINTMENT! YOU’RE A TERRIBLE DAUGHTER!”
The tears that cascaded down your face dropped on the floor, and you felt a hand on your shoulder. “It’s going to be alright.”
“Will it, Mr. Miles?”
“Let’s get you home.”
***
You snapped out of your flashback when you heard a creaking on the stairs. “Billy?”
You didn’t hear an answer when you heard a thunder crack, cutting out the power. You let out a shriek, falling backwards on your bed when you heard footsteps at the door. “(Y/N)? Are you okay?”
“Freddy? Is that you?” Using your phone’s flash as a torch, you guided yourself to the door. “Billy!” You threw your arms around him before quickly pulling away. “Sorry, I forgot you didn’t like hugs,” you mumbled before slapping your mouth with a hand.
Freddy awkwardly patted Billy on the shoulder, before retreating to his room.
You turned to leave, when the brunet grabbed you by the arm. “Hey, I’m sorry for today. Did I worry you?” Opening and closing your mouth like a fish, all could do was nod. Tears began to brim your eyes and Billy began to panic. “Oh no, please don’t cry, I don’t wanna make two girls cry in the same day.” You manage a small giggle before going to pull your notebook from your pocket when Billy stopped you again. “Please talk to me.”
“Okay.”
***
You sat cross-legged on your bed, Billy sitting on your wheelie-chair at your desk. “It’s been a while since I had someone to talk to.”
“No offense, but I though you couldn’t talk,” he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
“None taken. Like Victor said, childhood trauma. I mean, seeing your dad get murdered is pretty big, don’t you think?”
“Your dad was murdered?”
“My mom killed him. Had too much to drink and pew, pew, pew. One second dad was playing hide and seek with me, the next he was on the floor bleeding while mom was being arrested. I was the main witness in the murder, so I had to stand at the witness stand. You know what she said to me as she was being dragged away?”
“What?”
“She said I was a disappointment and a terrible daughter,” you fell back on the bed, a long sigh escaping you. “Ever since then, I was too scared to talk in fear of ruining someone else’s life. Rosa and Victor changed that for me.” You let out a little yawn.
“You sound tired. Maybe you should go to bed.”
“Who knows when I can talk to you again?” You mumbled, your eyelids drooping.
“(Y/N), you can talk to me anytime.”
“Yay… we’re friends!”
“We always were.”
***
Fast forward a few days later, you were at the mall buying Christmas gifts. It was after school and you had dropped off your things at home. You still hadn’t bought anything for your family which, to you, was a pretty big problem. You were just buying yourself a muffin when you heard screaming coming in all directions. Within seconds, the glass roof of the mall had shattered, showering people with glass. People were running in different directions when you heard it.
“Billy!” Oh no.
You whipped around, only to see Freddy being attacked by a flying man. Wait, what? Doing your best to do it quietly, you followed them, creeping behind them as the man flew, holding Freddy by his hoodie.
“Billy,” the man growled, pushing Freddy roughly against a locker. You flinched at the sound, concealing yourself behind the door. The man took his sunglasses off, revealing a glowing blue ball where his right eye should be.
“S-super villain,” Freddy stuttered, “Super villain! Super villain!”
“Worse. Much worse.”
The boy began to ramble, “I won’t let you read my mind; my mind is blank!”
Banging Freddy’s head against the locker, the man sneered. “I don’t have to read your mind, because you are going to tell me. Where is he?”
Dark grey mist filled the room, slowly turning into figures. Three figures were there, one with huge bat-like wings, another with spikes covering its body, and another with a long slimy tongue. “HELP! HELP!” Freddy screamed, trying to pull away.
“If you don’t tell me,” the man said slowly, the creatures advancing towards the two, “they’ll kill you.”
The one with the tongue crept closer and was about to gnaw on Freddy’s arm, when you screamed. “STOP IT! STOP! He did nothing!”
“(Y/N)? (Y/N), get away from here, leave! (Y/N), get out!”
“Oh, if it isn’t another brave hero,” The man jeered, “(Y/N), was it? Word of advice: leave before I make you.”
“Let Freddy go! Take me instead!”
“Only if I get what I want.”
“(Y/N), get out, Billy would never forgive me if-” Freddy slapped a hand over his mouth when he realised what he had done.
“So our little champion has a girlfriend.” The man flew over to you and you cowered against the wall. “Tell me where I can find Billy.”
“Never!” You spat.
“I’ll tell you where it is if you let her go!” Freddy exclaimed.
“Tell me first,” he bargained, “then I’ll let her go.”
“208 (random street). Now let her go.”
Without saying anything, one of the locker doors opened up revealing a haunted temple. The creature hissed at you before being absorbed back into the man’s body, not without the winged one pushing Freddy to floor. The man grabbed you by the neck, cutting off your air supply, before taking hold of Freddy. You and Freddy were carried through the door, when the man pushed you against the ground, kicking at the bruise on your stomach. You gasped in pain while Freddy let out a scream.
“You said you’ll let her go!”
“I lied.”
The man threw you against the wall and the last thing you saw was him taking a struggling Freddy through the door before your vision became blurry and all you could see was black.
***
The door of a foster home was knocked on, and Freddy could hear the excitement from behind the door. “Freddy?” Darla asked upon seeing her brother with a tall bald man.
“Oh, how quaint!” Sivana watched as Mary pushed her brothers behind her. He took his glasses off. “Actually, I take that back. What a shithole.”
“Freddy, where’s (Y/N)?” Eugene demanded, as he was forced to sit on the couch.
“I don’t know.” The words tumbled out of his mouth before he could stop them while Sivana gave a sneer.
Taking out a black phone from his pocket, the mad doctor called a very specific number. “Come home, Billy. Come home.”
From the other side of the line, Billy could hear the screams of his family. Running up the stairs of his birth-mother’s apartment, he made his way to the roof. Without thinking twice, he jumped. “SHAZAM!”
***
You let out a gasp in pain, and you felt as if you were electrocuted. Your head was pounding and you felt as if your chest was on fire. This was not how you expected things to go. Then again, what were you expecting? Nothing less from a super-villain. You tried your best to get up, clutching your stomach in pain. Where in the world were you?
The dark walls of the temple seemed to loom over you, and you did your best to crane your head. A few ways in front of you were 7 large chairs, tall and regal. Thrones? Why the hell would someone need 7 thrones? You grunted as you made your way towards them, stepping over a glowing staff. Boy, did you hope they were comfy. When you sat upon one of the thrones, memories flooded into your head. Freddy. What happened to him? What about you family; are they safe? And what did that man want with Billy? That’s when it hit you.
The supervillain wanted Billy. He wanted him for one sole purpose. Another thought wandered into your head. “Nah, he can’t be gay.” So why… “Billy’s the power guy from YouTube.”
“(Y/N)…” A voice echoed. “Get up from the throne.”
You flinched, looking up. “Who’s there?”
“Get up from the throne.”
Panic coursed through your veins but you did as you were told. “Where are you?”
With a flash of blinding light, red embers were before you, in the shape of an old man. The staff that was once on the floor was in the man’s hand and you stepped backwards in shock. “Do not be afraid.”
You couldn’t speak. It seemed as if there was a force constricting your throat, preventing you from speaking. All you could do was nod.
“I am the wizard who gave Billy Batson his powers.”
“Is he okay?” You blurted, clapping a hand over your mouth.
“He will be fine. But you will not be. Sivana had cracked a rib and if it is not treated, you can die.” You watched as the embers brought its hand to the front, the staff glowing powerfully. “Put a hand on the staff and I will heal you.”
You glanced at the staff sceptically. “Are you sure you’re the expert on this?”
“Hand on the staff, (Y/N) (L/N), before it is too late.”
“Why am I so important?”
“You will bring the champion both his rise and his destruction. Without you, there is no Billy Batson.” Impatiently, he thrust the staff towards you. “Hand on the staff.”
“Okay, okay!” You did as you were told.
“Asclepius, tin therapefsei apo tis pliges tis! Tis doste ti dynsmi ns therspefsei o, ti synanta!” (Asclepius, heal her of her wounds! Give her the power to heal all she meets!) Lightning seemed to engulf you as the man said these words and you felt your rib, stomach and head tingle with warmth. Your eyes snapped opened to fond that the man was no longer there and the staff was on the ground.
“Okay… thanks sir! I feel a lot better!” You called out, hearing the echoes.
You heard footsteps approach, and you began to freak out. This was not funny. Before you could let out a yell, a deafening “YAAAAAAH!” was heard and a figure in red, yellow and white zoomed past you, kitting against one of the thrones. That had to hurt. The figure grunted, and before you could stop yourself, you asked, “Billy?”
The man struggled to get up, looking at you for a split second. “(Y/N), get out of here, before-”
He was cut off by you being thrown against the wall by a grey mist. “Look, the brat is still alive.” Silvana stopped to pick up the staff that was lying at his feet. “I dedicated my live to get here.” The crystal in the staff glowed an eerie white, and you watched in horror as he walked closer to Billy. “I scoured the earth. No one believed me. On one helped; not the wizard, not my family. I only had myself.”
“I get it,” Billy said desperately, climbing onto his knees, “I get what that’s like. Feeling like you’re all alone in the world.”
“Stand.”
“Feeling like there’s this one thing and if you could just find it, then you’ll finally be good enough.”
“Stand.”
Billy did as he was told.
“The champion’s name,” Sivana pounded the staff on the ground. “Say it.” The grey mist wafted into the air, taking for of the hellish creatures. You flinched as they snarled at the hero.
“Look, no offence, mister, but I don’t think these things have your best interest at heart,” Billy tried, but his word had no effect.
“Don’t listen to this child,” Lust hissed.
“Take the staff,” Wrath snarled, hitting Billy on the back.
“Hold it, and say the champion’s name,” Sloth growled.
“They’re using you,” Billy tried again; “You have to see that they are using you.”
From the corner of your eye, you saw Darla, Mary, Freddy, Pedro and Eugene creep into the scene, each carrying absurd weapons.
“Say your name.”
A harsh shring sounded and Sivana yelped as the batarang fell to the floor. “His name is Captain Sparke-Fingers,” Freddy said, trying to ignore the crack in his voice. You joined them, taking out a pen from your pocket.
Mary gave you a look of ‘seriously?’ and you rolled your eyes, pointing to the calculus book she had in her hands.
“And we’re gonna keep throwing things at your big, fat, ugly head until you let our brother go,” Darla snapped and you wanted to run over and hug the little girl while reprimanding her to not be so rude.
Thinking fast, Billy picked the batarang off the floor and imbedded it into Sivana’s right shoulder and throwing him against the wall. “Ooh, am I glad I didn’t sell that batarang,” Billy exclaimed, running down the stairs. “Pedro, is that a lamp?”
“It’s my only one.”
“Come on, come on, come on! (Y/N), you okay?”
“I’ll be fine,” you respond and the others were too freaked out to comment on your talkativeness.
“Guys, I appreciate the thought, but I don’t think your weapons are gonna help, you could put ‘em down now!” Captain Sparkle-Fingers cried out, turning a corner.
“The door was right here!” Eugene exclaimed.
“Billy, how do we get out of here?” Mary asked, exasperated.
“What, you think I know? I don’t know!”
Meanwhile, Darla was curiously wandering around the tunnels. “This way!” she yelled, pointing.
“Go, go, go, go, go, follow Darla! Good job, Darla!” Billy exclaimed, pushing his family into the tunnel. “Go, go, go, go…”
The six of you ran through the tunnels and over a brick bridge, Billy yelling out commands. Poor Freddy was doing more physical activity than he’s ever done in his life, while you were still wandering about what had happened before Billy and Sivana came through. Your group stopped at in a cave, gazing in amazement.
“Woah… so many doors…” Darla mumbled, staring at each one.
“One of these has to be a way out, right?” Mary asked hopefully, but you knew she was trying to make everything better.
“Yeah I would hope so,” Billy breathed out, eyes widening.
Eugene opened a dark oak door, revealing three crocodiles (alligators?) playing poker. The animals snapped their heads around before running for Eugene, who rushed to close the door. “Not this one.”
Pedro opened another door, and swirling smoke wisped around his feet. A small plant like creature poked out of the door, only for it to turn ugly and revealed its fang-like structures and lunging for Pedro. He closed it in a haste.
Mary and Darla opened a small square door, and the creature inside let out a roar.
“Okay, no more doors, nobody open anymore doors!” You exclaimed, throwing your hands up in exasperation.
“Come on, Billy, what are we gonna do?” Darla whined.
The boy- or man? - let out a sigh, “Darla, I don’t know!”
“Do what you used to do, just think! How did you get out last time?” Mary prompted desperately.
By now, everyone had crowded around the man in red. “Last time, I thought about the Subway and I was on the Subway!”
“That’s it then!” Freddy exclaimed, “Think about the Subway, think about any other place except for here!”
“You can do it, Billy,” you said, smile on your face.
Before anyone else could comment, Sivana advanced on your group. Lifting a hand, you saw his hand glow. Billy closed his eyes and you felt yourself grow dizzy for a split second, but when you opened your eyes, you were in… where were you? All you could hear was a poor excuse of music, all the while Billy pushing everyone out of the building.
“Really? This was the first place you could think of?” Mary reprimanded, hand covering Darla’s eyes.
“You’re welcome!”
“Where’s Freddy?” You asked.
At that moment, the said boy walked out of the building, yelling out, “you too sir, have a holly jolly Christmas!”
“Freddy, what are you doing?” Billy demanded.
“I was just- they were nice people!”
“Nice peop- never mind, come on!” Before any of you had walked 10 steps, an explosion sounded from behind you, and Sivana was in the air, carrying his staff. “Go, go, go, go, everybody go!” Billy huffed when he saw Freddy struggle. Proceeding to pick him up, he bolted to a carnival where he knew they should be safe for a while.
Yeah… well… not so much. Noticing Billy, people began to crowd around him. You shivered, your claustrophobia and social anxiety was not going to be happy.
“Are you the hero!?” “You’re the hero Power Storm!”
“Wait, no, he’s an impersonator!” Freddy exclaimed.
“Yeah! I’m an impersonation of myself!” Billy yelled and you were so close to hitting him. The crowd never wavered, asking multiple questions before he had enough. “Shazam!”
With a lightning strike and a puff of smoke, Billy was back to being Billy while the crowd wondered where the hero had gone. You lean in to whisper at the once-hero. “They’re thick, aren’t they?”
He nodded in agreement before pushing the others behind a wooden stall. “Champion!” A voice yelled from above, attracting people’s attention. “You don’t deserve that name; hiding behind innocent people who will now die, because deep down, you’re just a scared little boy.”
“Don’t listen to him, Billy,” You whispered, “you’re stronger than he makes you out to be.”
“RUN!” A voice yelled, and people began to clamour from their spots.
Sivana used the staff to send lightning at different parts in the carnival, one being the centre of the Ferris wheel.  The wire holding the wheel to the ground was slowly tensioned, and the riders let out a scream.
“Well,” Billy began, turning to Freddy, “you wanted me to be a hero.”
“Are you kidding?” the boy demanded, “okay, no, old guys up there who is harbouring multiple spiritual entities, plus, I mean, he has the same powers as you, plus, he knows what he’s doing, plus, I mean, you’re my best friend and I don’t want you to die…”
“If a superhero can’t save his family…” he looked at the rest of his siblings before locking eyes with you. “He’s not much of a hero.”
He stepped out of his hiding spot, readying himself before yelling, “SHAZAM!” Within seconds, He had Sivana on the ground, exclaiming, “we’ll try that again!” He looked at Freddy with a bright grin, as if to say, ‘good?’
The boy shrugged his shoulders while the man gave an exasperated sigh. He was about to say something else, when Freddy let out a scream. “BILLY LOOK OUT!”
Said man ducked, springing upright and gaping at his family, “Laser eyes?! Guys, he has laser eyes! Too bad your aim sucks balls!”
Without warning, two arms sprang out from behind him, pulling him against the wooden building. The thing jumped out and threw the hero harshly to the ground, letting out a roar. Freddy watched the old man walk towards where Billy had landed, his eyes lighting up in realisation. “That’s his power matrix.”
“His what-what?” Eugene asked.
“When the demon guys leave his eye, he loses his power… that’s why the batarang hurt him.”
You were about to respond when Mary had to open her mouth. “Hey! Over here!”
“Wait, what are you doing?!”
“Trust me, dividing conquer. We separate the sins from the eye and he’s just an old man.”
The six of you watched in horror as the sins emerged in grey smoke, each letting out terrible screeches. You bolted into the carnival as you heard all your siblings being snatched one by one. Man, you should have payed more attention in gym. You ducked from Pride who grabbed hold of Eugene and while Greed snatched Darla from Mary. ‘RUN, RUN, RUN!’ Your mind screamed, all the while your lungs were begging for a small break. You tried your best to even out your breathing and ignoring the burning in your chest when you realised. You weren’t tired. Why the hell were you not tired?
You sprinted over to the pin ball area, Mary right on your heels. “Where… did you learn… to run like that?” Mary breathed and you shrugged in response.
You turned your attention to Sivana who was repeatedly dunking Billy’s head under water, basically drowning him. Thinking fast, you shoved a quarter (or dollar) into the machine while Mary took hold of it. “Hey.” As soon as Silvana’s head turned, she fired.
You froze as Sivana caught the little ball in between his pointer finger and his thumb when you heard a soft growling from behind you. “Ah, shit.”
You let out a scream as Gluttony dragged you into a tent where all your other siblings were being held against their will. “Nice trick,” Sivana said, “catchy. One simple word. I have a better trick. Three words,” he turned to Gluttony with a sneer, “kill the girlfriend.” (PLOTTWIST, IT TRIES TO EAT MARY)
Your siblings let out screams as you felt Gluttony’s slimy tongue stretch and you tried your best to pull away. From beside you, you heard Mary’s pleads to stop while you heard your other siblings crying out in desperation.
“STOP!” Billy yelled and Gluttony put you down. You let out a gasp, falling to your knees, your legs giving way. You felt Wrath drag you in front of him and you let out a whimper.
“Billy, there’s one more demon guy in his eye!” Freddy exclaimed. “You just gotta rip it out of its face hole -” He was cut off by Sloth’s fingers wrapping over his mouth.
“It’s where he gets his power,” Mary continued.
“Reach for it,” Sivana said in a whisper, “I dare you.” Instead, Billy got onto his knees while Sivana nodded in victory, “wise decision. Hands on the staff.”
“Don’t do it Billy!”
“Billy, don’t do this, Billy!”
Ignoring their pleas, the hero placed a hesitant hand on the staff. You looked up to find all the sins but Wrath be absorbed into Sivana’s body and fear forced its way into your heart. Billy grasped the staff firmly on the staff. While Sivana was distracted, the hero flipped the staff out of his hands and hit him in the chest, pushing the villain to the ground. Wrath let out a roar and took hold of your waist, holding you roughly as it ran off. You let out a shriek, eyes squeezed together. Just as you though all hope was lost, you heard lightning strike.
Wrath growled, turning back to the tent it was just on. You took this to your advantage and wiggled your way out before sprinting as fast as you could away from the sin. Oh hell no were you gonna be eaten today.
You ran to the only place you thought was safe- the tent. Come on, who doesn’t want to be near a superhero while the world was being annihilated. You found yourself nearing the tent when there was a crash. A girl wearing a purple jumpsuit and white cape whizzed past you. That’s when you saw the sins emerge. Wrath was battling a green hero and you couldn’t help but groan. “Ah, shit.”
A blue hero flew past you, Pride just behind him. You could hear people creaming as the winged creature hit the Ferris wheel, causing some of the screw to fling off. Panic over took you. What were you supposed to do? Run away? Get the heroes to save them? Apparently you didn’t need to tell anyone; they already saw. One lady was falling with a yell, when the purple hero rushed – quite literally – and saved her.
“Hi! Wow, I caught you!” While she ran to get you to safety, you hid in a booth.
You should be safe… right? Pulling your phone out, you decided to film the whole thing. Might as well broadcast it.
***
You quietly emerged from your hiding place when you saw the red one – Billy – pull the eye out of Sivana. People from all over the carnival let out cheers of thanks and congratulations, and you clapped loudly yourself. The five other heroes flew down to meet their leader, and that’s when you realised. Your siblings were heroes?! So this is what happens when people get abducted.
Moments later, you found yourself face to face with the 6 heroes. “Billy!” You grinned, jumping up and down. “I’d hug you, but I can’t take you seriously like that.” You laughed, looking at the other heroes. “Hey, guys!”
“(Y/N), you’re alright!” Freddy (the blue one, you assumed) exclaimed.
“Yeah, I’m okay. You’re a superhero! Didn’t think your 5 year old birthday wish would come true,” you grinned up at him. “Pedro, Mary, Eugene, Darla! You all look so good!”
“Thanks!” Darla (the purple one?) giggled.
“Where now?” Mary asked, looking around, “where are we going to put the Eye?
Billy just grinned. “I know a place.”
With a flash of blinding light, the 7 of you found yourself back in the haunted cave. “You sure this is gonna work?” Eugene asked, forever the sceptic.
When Billy placed the eye on its stand, coral like structured encompassed it, and the 7 deadly sins were put back in their designated statues.
“You guys know what this place is, right?” Freddy asked, excitement lighting up his eyes.
“A dark haunted cave with demon statues,” Darla muttered while the others nodded in agreement.
The blue hero slowly nodded. “Well, yes, but also…”
He looked at Billy expectantly. “Lair! We gotta lair!”
The others grinned and chatted in excitement while you wandered to the thrones. “Is there supposed to be another hero?”
Eugene counted the thrones in his head. “7 thrones, 6 heroes…”
Ashes quickly began to swirl around you and you gazed at them in wonder. “That’s him!” Billy exclaimed, “that’s the Wizard!”
“Obviously,” the ashes said. “As you can see, there are 7 thrones. Mary is the Wisdom of Solomon. Pedro is the Strength of Hercules. Eugene is the Power of Zeus. Freddy is the Courage of Achilles. Darla is the Speed of Mercury. Billy is all of these powers.” Each sat at their designated thrones, leaving you at the bottom of the stairs. Just as you were about to pipe up, the Wizard cut you off. “Do not think I had forgotten you, young child. You are holding these heroes together. Without you they are nothing. You are the Stamina of Atlas and the Healing of Asclepius. Together, the 7 of you will protect the earth. Together, you are the saviours. Until we meet again, dear heroes,” with that, the Wizard’s ashes were blown away.
You awkwardly shuffled in your seat. “You think we can go now?”
***
The next day, you and your family took their seats at the dining table. Things had happened, to say the least. You sat beside Billy, and you felt him squeeze your hand from other the table. You offered a smile.
“Guys,” Billy piped up, attracting all their attention. “All hands on deck.” With exclaims from Rosa and Victor, Billy began his prayer. “Thank you for this food. Thank you for this day. And thank you for this family. And, maybe this time I’ll stay.” They all pulled their hands back, Billy continuing to speak. “Because after all. I’m home.”
EXTENDED ENDING (you know what I’m talkin’ about)
School the next day was, as usual, utter crap, especially for Freddy. Ever since the Human Power Storm didn’t show up to lunch a few days prior, things were hell. Billy had a bad cough that morning and stayed home, and you had different classes to him, leaving him alone. He wandered into the cafeteria with his tray and taking a seat at the back table. Almost immediately the people who were once occupying the seats had left.
You took a seat across from him.
“What are you doin’,” you heard Brett ask, “Waiting for your imaginary BFF to show up?”
Burke snickered and stole one of Freddy’s fries (or chips), shoving his head. Seconds later, Eugene, Mary, Darla and Pedro appeared taking their seats.
“What are you guys doing here?”
“Why, we’re having lunch with you,” Mary said, pretending to be offended.
“I thought you had different lunch periods.”
“Well, we made a very special arrangement.”
The boy side-eyed Darla. “Darla, what’s going on?”
“Why are you asking me?”
“Freddy Freeman!” A deep voice called out and said boy let out a snort, covering his face with the back of his hand. The kids let out exclaims of delight while the hero continued to speak. “This guy taught me everything I know about being a dope superhero, true story; you should get a few pointers from him.” He took a seat beside the curly haired boy. “What’s going on, my best bud, in the whole world, and also new kids who I’m meeting for the first time who also seem really cool.”
You exchange looks with Darla who was grinning ear to ear. You knew what was coming up next.
“I invited another friend, I hope that’s okay.”
A man in a blue costume with a diamond logo began to walk towards the table. Oh, if only you could see Brett and Burke’s face.
Freddy turned around, only to see his idol. He jumped ten feet.

“To err is human, to forgive, divine.” - Alexander Pope.
Chapter 9.
AO3.
Summary:
Alma has trouble with who she is, and Cullen comes to help.
*Angst with a pinch of smut.*
TW: death, blood, nsfw, smut, lemon.
It was a lot, just way too much. There wasn't enough air, there was never enough air.
Crying, sobbing, a silent scream. Cold fingers curling around loose hair. Pulling, tugging, trying to take the murmurs away.
Magic on fingertips. Purple wisps floating around the room. Whispering, speaking, demanding… Accusing.
Never enough, never enough!
Curse, cursed, cursing.
Please, Maker! Let it end. Let it take me once and for all.
Blood boiling. Calling, signaling, hollering.
Come, came, kill, die!
Mine mine MINE.
Deep, down, cave, tunnel. Monsters, brothers, sisters. Brethren.
Time is up, time is up, tik tok tik tok.
Goodbye.
Come come come.
Man, woman, qunari, dwarf, elf, human.
He, she, they, me. Us.
Joined by blood drank from a beautiful cold silver chalice.
Enchanter, witch, mage.
Tower spiraling upwards. Ending on the toes of the Maker.
Watching, watching. Pitting, crying.
His making, his creation. His children.
Locked up, forgotten. Mistreated.
It was a lot, just way too much. There wasn't enough air, there was never enough air.
Grunt, panting. Grabbing hand trying and failing to make it stop. Close them, close them all.
How many more? Where are they? Demons (maybe twisted spirits?) leaking from cracks in the air. Why didn't it stop?
Haven't I given enough? Haven't I been enough?
orphan, danger, mage, warden, hero, researcher, herald, Inquisitor. L.o.v.e.r.
Why me? Why me? When would it stop?
Stupid question, silly question. Simple answer, obvious answer.
Death.
Dying, trying, wanting to live.
To live, to see, to feel, to love again…
Just a second, just a minute, just a glance. Touch, finger, lips, kiss. Body, soul. Eternity.
Cullen.
Come to me, come to me!
I'm sorry.
So so sorry.
I love you.
Still do.
Always have. Always will.
Come and take me away. Take the pain away.
Come and make everything simple again.
Let's go back to you and me.
Before all that's left are memories and tears.
-----
Cullen woke up with a start.
Cleaning the sleep of his eyes, he could only remember someone crying. Calling for him in the distance.
Shifting on the bed, he threw the bedsheet over his legs and felt the coldness of the wood on his feet. He walked to the window and watched the tents in the valley below. A knot on his stomach reminded him that all those lives were in his hands. His eyes fell on his fingers and palm. Closing and opening, he saw fog escaping his mouth.
A shiver ran down his spine, and he threw a blanket over his exposed shoulders and scarred back. His arm was the support needed for his body to lean on the window sill. His eyes sought the moon, which hid behind heavy clouds barely illuminating the castle grounds. If it weren't for the torches and braziers around the place, one could easily get lost and even die from a fall.
Knowing very well he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep, he decided to roam around the place and maybe even grab some reports he had left on the war table.
The first thing he did when he opened the door was to bring his blanket closer to his body because the snow, shyly falling from the sky, decorated his surroundings with a white blanket of loneliness. The second one was to widen his eyes when they saw a strange dance of purple and green light on Alma's… the Inquisitor's quarters.
Hypnotized by the beautiful show, he found himself unable to move. His lips parted in awe, and the fog from his breath obscured his view for a split second.
He was suddenly too tired. His role as the commander weighed down on his shoulders, but it was his role as a templar that brought his soul down. All he wanted was to go back to the day a young boy met a soot-covered girl. When his dreams were pure and not tainted by darkness.
His fingers caressed the bracelet that one day he had given her. A final gift, a gift to make her remember him. He guessed it was just too much when Hawke showed up and handed him the small thing back. But could he blame her when he himself found his fingers seeking the sword knot she had given him as a way to soothe his soul?
His thoughts returned to that one day he desperately wanted to go back to. To tell her how much he loved her and that he always would. The day before she parted and everything came falling, like bricks of an already rotten place.
His dreams, his mind, his sanity, and his life. All gone on the *tip of a staff*.
A sigh escaped his mouth, and he ran his naked fingers over his unruled curls. He averted his eyes and was ready to turn around and walk as far as possible from her and the feelings she brought along with when out of the corner of his eyes he saw a silent explosion of multicolored wisps burst the doors from her quarters and disappear on the moonless sky.
Without a second to lose, he ran. He ran because she needed him… and he wouldn't let her down. Not again. Not anymore.
His blanket fell on the snow-covered floor. The winter wind enveloped his body, but even the chilliest of them on his exposed skin wouldn't avert his attention from her.
Skyhold was empty. People slept soundly in its interior while the ones outside fought the tiredness and coldness of the endless night. Cullen saw one or two soldiers here and there. Guarding the place they all called home.
Even though his armor was long forgotten in his office, and his sword rested beside it. He ran, ready to battle whoever dared to breathe in the same room as Alma… the Inquisitor. Dear Maker, she wasn't his anymore. Not like he wanted her to be. She was the Hero of Ferelden, the Herald of Andraste, The Inquisitor. Sand escaping between his open fingers.
The thought that someone dared to enter Skyhold and threaten her made Cullen beyond enraged. His hands closed into fists, and he almost ripped her door out of its hinges. He went up the steps two at a time, and his voice lingered on the stairs telling the soldiers on duty to stand ready.
Without a single word, he broke into her room and ran up the final steps only to feel all his anger fade away at the sight that made his already broken heart halt.
Alma was there alone and curled on the floor. Her cheeks stained with trails of tears. Her freckles visible through cuts in her clothing. The hair he loved so much, wild and untamed. She was just a little girl covered in soot all over again.
His chest was heavy, and it was difficult for him to breathe. His stomach churned, and his muscles tensed. There was a burning sensation on his eyes, and he felt them water. He wanted to move and take her in his arms. Clean those damned tears. Promise her that everything was going to be okay. Tell her that he was there and wasn't going anywhere. Kiss her fears away and pour his being to her. Apologize and beg for her forgiveness. To tell how much he still loved her.
He stood there, and they stared at each other for centuries.
The wind coming from the open doors flipped the open book's pages on her table and blew out the few candles that lit the place. Cullen saw her body tremble, but he wasn't sure if it was because of the cold or something else.
When a sob escaped Alma's soft lips, and her head fell, he took control of his body and closed the distance between them with cautious steps. Alma, and it was Alma, because any trace that showed who she had become was long gone. Taken by the wind.
His fingers caressed her wet cheek on their way to tuck her hair behind her ear. Her eyes searched his. Like a scared animal cornered and with no place else to go, she stared at him. In them, Cullen saw desperation and pain.
Sitting on the ground beside her, he brought her small frame to his chest and embraced her. She trembled and shivered but didn't push him away. Another sob escaped her mouth, and he felt her fingers trail his arms up to his nape and her nose bury on the crook of his neck.
One of the soldiers came to check on them, but even his interruption didn't stop whatever it was that was happening between them.
Alma never left his embrace. Her arms pulled him closer, and her lips touched the skin of his shoulder.
The room was filled with silence, but the silence was full of unspoken words and promises. There were begging, prayers, hope, fear, and mercy on their fingertips. Fingertips that traveled, caressed, made weird and unrecognizable patterns on skin. That left goosebumps in their wake.
Cullen buried his nose in her hair, and her scent stirred something inside him. A primal desire to have her for him and only him. To protect her from others, herself, and himself.
He tried to push Alma away. To stand up and leave her there. Leave her alone, just like she always asked him to do. He tried once again to do what was asked of him. To be a good templar, soldier, commander, and follow orders. But the man in him…
The man in him cupped her face in his hands and brought her lips to his. The man in him kissed her deeply and desperately. The man in him was finally free.
Cullen was afraid. He feared he had gone too far this time. That her hate would become disgust as well. That she would shun him in every possible way. That she would kill him from her soul.
Alma's head tilted, and he deepened the kiss. His teeth grazed her lips and her name rushed in whispers out of his mouth. Her fingers dove into his hair and pulled him closer. Her mouth called his name, and he got lost in surrender.
Her lips left scorching kisses on his jaw and down his neck. Her nails leaving rosy marks on his back. Her legs straddling him.
Unable to hold back any more second, Cullen lifted her off the ground and seated her on her table. With her legs wrapped around him, he started to undress her.
He followed the curve of her neck down to her breasts with his tongue, paying attention to every little sound she let escape, every reaction her body made. Her freckles once more visible for him to see and worship. He explored her skin with kisses and fingers; he savored the regained intimacy.
Alma was so beautiful, even more than he remembered. Besides the stars on her skin, he could see the passage of time. The scars telling him stories of times he wasn't there by her side. He found as many as he could, and he kissed them, a way to apologize.
His nose moved to her neck, and he nuzzled it there. Letting her scent overwhelm him. Gripping her hips, he returned to her mouth. He never tired of kissing her. Biting her. Loving her.
"Al-"
She shushed him with a kiss. Her fingers found his cheeks, and she deepened it. Cullen felt her tears mixing with the kiss.
He rested his forehead on hers. His lips kissed her eyes and then the crown of her head. His words were spoken into her hair.
"Alma-"
"Tell me that you still love me…" Her plea surprised him. "Please, Cullen… just lie if you have to. Plea-" Her loud sob interrupted her.
His ears couldn't believe her words. Lie to her? He never had and never would. He wanted to tell her, no, he wanted to show how much he loved her.
"What do I have to do to prove I will always love you? That you are everything I live for?" – His eyes looking into hers. His fingers cupping her face and his thumbs cleaning the tears away.
"Don't leave me. Kiss me. Say it and then make love-"
"I love you," He confessed. His arms lifted her, and he took her to her messy bed. Alma's body keeping his warm. Alma's kisses keeping his soul alive.
Cullen laid her gently. His eyes scanned her body with adoration. His fingers found her white underwear and curled on the band.
He took his time to take it off. Kissing and nibbling on the skin of her legs. Lingering on the spots he knew she loved him to, eliciting moans and giggles. Getting turned on with every little squirm, murmur, or plea from her.
He placed her legs over his shoulder and kissed the sides of her thighs until he felt her hand on his hair. Smirking to himself and sighing in happiness, he pressed a chaste kiss on her clit and heard a gasp in the air.
Her smell was intoxicating, but her taste was paradise. He kissed her once again. His tongue playing with her clit like a kiss. A small bite, and her moan filled the room. One more flick, and her fingers pulled his head closer.
He lapped her folds and brought a thumb to where his mouth once was. His tongue tasted, played, and delved into her. His finger caressed, massaged, and pressed murmurs out of her mouth. Cullen found himself already longing for days to come. Wishing he would never have to leave.
His other hand came to help him in his ministrations, and he pushed his middle finger slowly into her. It took him a few moments to find that sweet spot that always had her wriggling on his arms. Calling his name and begging him not to stop. Panting, moaning, and asking for more.
He would give her more. He would give her everything and anything she asked if it meant she would smile at him. Stay with him.
-----
Alma bit her lips and tried to suppress the moan threatening to escape her mouth, but Cullen knew her. Knew her every curve, every thought, every spot. He still knew how to make her come undone. Exactly where to kiss and where to press.
He remembered the places that made her shiver, the hidden spots that made her beg. He still remembered. More than ten years had passed, so much had happened, but he still knew her inside and out.
But what most impressed her, was that despite everything that had happened, all the times she pushed him away, showed him nothing more than hatred… he still loved her. He loved her as much as she loved him.
His hair curled around her fingers, his tongue playing with her, his finger searching and finding what she needed, and his confession still lingering on her ear were all too much. She came with his name on her lips. With hope in her tears.
She wanted more of him, she needed more of him. When her legs finally stopped shaking with the debilitating orgasm that hit her, she pulled him up and kissed him. He tasted of her and had memories of them. She kissed him and felt their souls entwine once more. She was finally whole again.
His fingers grabbed her knees and slid up her thighs. He sat between her legs and stopped his fingers on her hips to caress them with feather-light touch. His thumbs made circles on her skin, and his eyes worshipped her.
She sat on the bed to close the distance between them, and unable to stop the happiness feeling her being, she smiled at him. Her hand, warm with the anchor, touched his chest, and trailed down to help him out of his clothes. Their fingers bumping into each other, and Cullen bringing her knuckles to lay loving kisses on them.
Alma leaned back on her hands and watched him undress. His body was scarred, and she looked up at the scar on his lip. She regretted not being there to protect him.
When he was bare for her to see, she crawled her way to taste him. Her mouth left wet kisses on his skin. He held her head and cradled it in his hand. His thumb caressing her lips. She heard his moan when she opened her mouth and circled his finger with her tongue.
She was ready to have him in her mouth, but he interrupted her advances and pushed her down back on the mattress, his frame spreading her legs to accommodate him.
He kissed her, and she allowed him to do whatever it was he wanted with her. He marked her shoulder with a harsh kiss, sucking and biting to then soothe with his nose. A small place where only they knew. Another thing from a time when they weren't allowed to be together. When things were much simpler.
Cullen adjusted himself once more and placed his hand behind her knee. Angling her to be able to fill her. With one last look to make sure it was what she wanted, he kissed her, and then it all began.
His first thrust was slow. She knew he was holding back, letting her adjust to him. The second made her eyes roll. The third evoked a sinful moan from her mouth, and he then knew she was ready for him.
They were together. Time may have passed, but nothing had changed.
Cullen found the right pace. His hips pressing down onto hers, one breast on his hand, his tongue exploring her mouth. She paid attention, and she noticed every movement, every little sound.
She needed him deeper, to feel his hands on her, so she circled him with her legs, and he leaned back on his heels. She helped him to lift her and bring her onto him, to have her in the right position so he could penetrate her. She felt him tremble when he filled her again. His grip on her hips was sure going to leave marks on her skin, but she didn't care, she couldn't care. He was exactly where she wanted him to be.
She watched him making love to her. His eyes roaming her body, his hands gripping her, his parted lips suddenly trapped between his teeth. His grunts, moaning, and murmurs. Her name slipping between his delicious lips, and his arms bringing her up to his chest, his mouth nibbling her neck.
Alma watched him. Felt him. Fell in love with him all over again.
Her arms circled his neck for balance, and he thrust up into her. The position allowed him to press her clit, and she soon felt her climax building up. She kissed him and silently vowed to never let him go again.
-----
Cullen had her body pressed against him. She was warm, wet, and making him lose control of himself.
Her walls tightened around him, and he almost came with the sudden intense pleasure. He wouldn't last long like that. As if she read his mind, she kissed him and soon guided him to lay his back on the bed.
She straddled him and slowly sank down. One of his hands found her waist while the other disappeared between them, finding her sensitive spot and making sure she would come before him. Together they set a divine pace, and Cullen could memorize every sound she made. He prayed to hear them many more times.
She leaned on his chest with both hands, and he held her waist so he could be deeper in her. She moaned and begged him not to stop. Soon after, she called his name. Her walls spasming around him. Her legs trembling against his skin.
As much as he tried, he couldn't hold it any longer. He had waited so long to be with her again. He sat on the bed and kissed her. His hands explored her, one going up her nape, the other resting on the small of her back. He kissed her lips, her jaw, and her neck. He came with her name in a whisper. Begging her not to leave him again.
They stood there. Silence again filled the room, interrupted by their deep breaths.
Alma nuzzled her nose on his. Cullen brought her closer to him.
None of them wanted to let the other go. Afraid that what had happened was just a dream.
"Will you stay for the night?" Alma asked on his mouth. Kissing him to delay his answer. Terrified of his words would say.
"For as long as you want me to."
"Forever, then?" Her eyebrow lifted, and a playful smile made itself known on her face.
Cullen laughed.
Loudly, jovially, relieved, forgiven.
"Forever, then."
He kissed her, and they smiled on each other mouth.
They were together,… at least until her blood started to call again. Warning her that her time had come.
I hope you liked.

The Faceless Sphinx sat brooding and still on its pedestal, a mass of carved black granite that stood in contrast to the green of the surrounding hills.
The Ossiarchs advanced silently, their eyes locked on the village just beyond the ruin. Liege-Kavalos Eusibion watched them pass, his mount shifting beneath them. Occassionally, he would glance up at the strange monument, fascinated by the utterly beautiful stonework. He was a soldier of many lifetimes. This did not diminish his appreciation for works of art and architecture worth admiring.
The sphinx was one of the few pieces of the ancient, ruined settlement more or less intact. The pedestal was pitted with age, but remained complete, with an inscription written in a language that Eusibion, to his regret, could not read. That was not particularly unique to Ghur. That much was certain after many decades of service here. A “realm of beasts and untamed savagery” said writers with perhaps more alliteration than skill in constructing prose. (This was not entirely incorrect in the present era. But the touch of ancient deeds by men and others besides could be felt here. Even the Orcs built things, and they still infested the land in places.) Beyond the pedestal were the tumbled remains of a curtain wall and the stone foundations of buildings, whatever they might have been. There were, in fact, eleven such foundations. Eusebion had noted this with interest upon initial reconnaissance of the place.
At last the small army halted, drawn up in a column outside the zariba that marked the outer perimeter of the village. Eusebion eyed Hekatos Laertes. He nodded. The village was silent. The locals had hidden away upon sight of the advancing column. It was quite a sight to behold. And for a primitive villager, no matter howwarlike... “Proceed.”
Laertes saluted and walked toward the zariba. His voice was projected, neutral of tone. “Hetman Undako. Your tribe agreed to the terms of a treaty of vassalage with our Liege Lord, as you well know, in exchange for his protection from the green skin horde. The tithe for this village and its outliers remains unpaid. We are here to collect. One way or another. Give us what we require, show proper deference, and we will forget this oversight. We might even forgive your role in the recent fighting.”
There was no response, initially. Eusebion looked forward into the village. It was a rather large one, as these things went. Several hundred people in huts built from wood, mud, and thatch. A few larger examples were built on old, stone foundations. Perhaps the remains of private homes on the outskirts of the city that had been. He shook his head, sadly. Did human civilization always decline so sharply?
Hekatos Laertes was less reflective, and clearly annoyed. He repeated, “Herman Undako. I remind you that our patience is only because of the restraint imposed upon us by our Liege Lord. He is now -your- Liege Lord, and values your people. If you value them, honor him and tread with me. I will not ask again.” At his gesture, the head of the column began to form into a triple ranked line, spreading out, the bronze shields of the foremost sparking in the mid-day sun.
There was quiet, and then the shuffling sound of footsteps across ground, echoing from beyond the zariba, the formed ranks tensed. Round the corner came an old man, slightly bent. He had clearly been a powerfully built man in his youth, and that his height was not entirely diminished by the stoop of extreme age and frailty made this clear. He moved forward with the aid of an ancient walking stick, his thorny right hand wrapped around it tightly. At last, he appeared near the opposite side of the zariba, alone, and lifted milky white eyes to face Laertes.
“I am Undak’o,” his voice was firm, deep, tinged with age as he corrected - almost gently - the pronunciation of his name. Laertes noted a great scar running across his forehead, the mark of some terrible beast, perhaps. So the old man had been a warrior, or at least a hunter. He raised his right arm, the wrist wrapped in wooden prayer beads... no... not beads. What were they? The claws of yet another beast? Laertes was uncertain. “We welcome the representatives of Nagash to our home. You are?”
“I am Hekaton Laertes. I serve Nagash and my Polemarch, Eusebion.” The old man nodded. “I am sure you do them credit, warrior.” He paused, his eyes staring into the distance, if indeed such a thing was possible with blind eyes. “You say that my tribe made a treaty with great lord Nagash?”
Laertes nodded, “I did.”
Undak’o frowned, and with a tutting noise, shook his head. “Bomt’a was always too eager to negotiate.”
“His warriors knew when they were beaten,” Laertes replied, “they did the honorable thing.”
Undak’o considered this. “Did they? I wonder. From a certain point of view, certainly!” He chuckled quietly. “At any rate, my little brother Bom’ta does not speak for all of the Izi-Nyosi, no matter what he may say. He is king but in name. Many of the Hetmen of the Kraals were unconsulted, both in regards to the war with your liege lord, great Nagash, and the peace with him. I am afraid I have nothing to give you but admiration for your fine discipline and my congratulations as to your obvious fighting prowess. My brother is a fine warrior.”
“Your regiment took part in the war against us,” Laertes growled, “and I am unconsumed big curiosity regarding your internal politics. We are owed a tithe.”
“Our regiment faced your brothers,” Undak’o nodded. “This is true. They burned one of our kraals. Honor demanded retribution.”
You had to give it to the old man, Eusebion admitted to himself, brass balls. It would be a shame to kill him.
“And honor demands that you pay your tithe,” Laertes demanded. “We are here to collect, Hetman.”
“And the tithe is not mine to give, Hekatos. Our allegiance is to another liege lord. One who does not allow the sacrifice of our dead for such purposes.”
“There are no more kings among the Izi-Nyosi, Herman. Your liege lord is Nagash. Were it not in my orders, were I not a being of honor, I could strike you down for such insolence. Pay. Your. Tithe. Or I will collect it in a different way.”
Eusebion was fascinated by all this. By rights he could have intervened. But he did not. Not yet.
The old man sighed. “Do you know, young man...”
“I am not young, Hetman. I was a living being before your great grandfather walked the Savannah.”
The old man smiled. “So you say...” he paused, leaned against his staff. “What do you think of our ruins, my friend?”
Eusebion spoke for the first time at this, “Old Man...” he called out, raising his hand to signal that Laertes should hold.
The Herman’s milky eyes turned in the direction of Eusebion, “My Lord Kavalos?”
“These ruins are a sign that your people were once great. Wise. Show wisdom, Hetman. My patience is at an end.”
The Hetman, seemed saddened by this. Genuinely so, “I am told that, in mortal life, you served a great human king. Something of an eccentric, but a great man nonetheless.”
“I did,” Eusebion replied. “Unlike our enemies, we retain our memories.”
“Ahh. This proves that you, too, are a man of wisdom. If you have taken such memories to heart.”
Eusebion liked to think so. “Your regiment has fine warriors, Hetman. Among the finest of the Izi-Nyosi.”
The old man smiled. “They are.”
“My Lord Nagash honors you with his benevolence. Your tithe will be put to good use. The spirits of your fallen warriors will...”
“We made the ruins, you know,” the Hetman interrupted. Perhaps he was less capable than Eusebion had guessed, for now he was rambling. Eusebion sighed, “Laertes, draw up your ranks. This parley has...”
“We did not -build- the ruins, you understand,” the blind eyes were now fixed on Laertes. “You do not seem to be listening. Heed my wisdom, we -made- that place a ruin, young man. We made it.”
“If by decline, you mean,” Laertes snarled, the feeling of the blind eyes fixed on him distinctly unnerving. “I am unsurprised. Lochoi, form up. Archers, knock bows.”
“Such a pity,” Eusebion muttered, “that statue alone.”
The Hetman shook his head. How he heard Eusebion’s mutterings remained unclear. “No. We carved no statues. We are breakers of cities, my people. Not builders of them.”
Eusebion’s eyes widened, “Then all the more reason to preserve it from damage by the likes of you,” he turned his attention to Laertes, drew his xiphos. Laertes did not notice the gesture. His eyes, instead, had locked into the old man’s bracelet. Those were not, he had realized, the claws of an animal. But the teeth of a hominid. His ancient throat went dry.
“Archers,” he said, his words sluggish, “form near the statue. Prepare fire arrows. Lochoi, pikes out.”
“There. Is. No. Statue.” The old man muttered, “and the tithe is not mine to give.” He had already turned his back on the Ossiarchs, returning the way he had come. Eusebion, if he had the means, would have blinked. The damned fool! More mess to clean up, and now this bloody village had cost him a day. He looked to the statue, wondering who could have built such a thing in a place of such profound ignorance, and felt sorrow for their lost civilization.
It was at this point that he realized the old man was as correct. There was no statue. A bell of alarm from ancient times began to clang in his head. “Laertes! Quick! Form a hedge!”
Soon enough, there would be a tithe available. But it was not Undak’os to give.

The Patron Saint of Discounted Candy
Tumblr media
GIF from big-brass-ego-deactivated201812
Pairing: Dr. Frederick Chilton x Reader
Words: 1,647
Author’s Note: This was based on a post by @somethingstately (but with a different ending because I have a soft spot for Chilton)
Frederick sighed as he walked down the grocery store aisle. Another Valentine’s Day had come and gone and, as usual, he had spent the day alone. His annual February 15th tradition of buying discounted candy and eating it alone on his couch in a fit of self-loathing was becoming hazardous for his mental health, not to mention his waistline.
As he made his way towards the colourful heart-shaped boxes, Frederick tried to avoid stepping on any of the rose petals, half-crushed candy hearts, and ribbons scattered across the aisle floor. No doubt these were the remnants of yesterday’s lovers and spouses frantically buying last-minute gifts on their way home from work.
Frederick scoffed at the thought. If he was fortunate enough to be in a relationship on Valentine’s Day, he would certainly not leave anything to the last minute. No, plans would have been made months in advance; ordering his partner’s favourite flowers, making reservations at a Michelin-starred restaurant, buying countless gifts to spoil his partner with throughout the day. He would do everything to make certain his partner felt loved.
His thoughts turned to the only time he came close to spending Valentine’s Day with someone. It was during his second year of residency when he had been dating a cardiology resident. Full of excitement at the prospect of spending Valentine’s Day as a couple, he planned the perfect evening: dinner at the restaurant where they had their first date, tickets to see Swan Lake, and then back to his apartment which he would elaborately decorate with candles and flowers.
Except, on the evening before Valentine’s, Frederick had stumbled upon his partner with someone else in an on-call room. While the cheating broke his heart, it was the look on his partner’s face that had shattered it. She looked at him as if he was just a stranger who had entered the room. As if he was an annoyance. As if he meant nothing.
Frederick had spent the next three days holed up in his apartment, eating discounted chocolate and trying to drink to the point where he could appreciate the irony of a cardiologist breaking his heart.
Shaking off these unhappy memories, Frederick scanned the shelves for his preferred post-Valentine’s Day chocolates. Unfortunately, he had arrived at the store too late. The shelves had already been picked over, with only a smattering of sad-looking stuffed animals and the chocolate that tasted as if its main ingredient was sawdust remaining.
As Frederick turned to leave, resigned to his usual fate of eating dinner alone in front of the television, he spotted a lone heart-shaped box of his usual chocolate peaking out from the highest shelf.
Reaching for it, Frederick felt the pull of the stitches that now sullied his abdomen. He lowered his arm and scowled. No employee was in sight nor was a step stool. Pursing his lips, Frederick mulled over his options.
He could forget about the chocolate, but he desperately needed a win today.
He could go find an employee, but that would leave the chocolate open for someone else to take it.
He could step on the lowest shelf for a height boost, but the shelves did not look stable enough to support the weight of an adult male, particularly one whose clothes had been fitting a bit too snug lately.
He hated that he had been reduced to this -a man who was spending more time and energy than one should on obtaining a discounted box of chocolate.
A man who was missing a kidney.
A man who needed a cane.
However, Frederick realized that his cane would be useful in this situation. It was a crude solution, using his cane to knock the box off of the shelf, but it would do the trick. Though, on his first attempt, the only thing Frederick managed to knock over was a teddy bear.
Cursing under his breath, Frederick gingerly bent down to retrieve the fallen bear. As his fingers skimmed its plush fur, he noticed stuffing seeping out of a small hole in the bear’s stomach. Upon the realization, Frederick let out a bark of bitter laughter. Clearly, the universe was playing yet another cruel joke on him.
And, to pour salt on his literal wound, someone was about to grab his box of chocolate.
“That’s mine,” Frederick snapped at the offender.
“Excuse me?” You turned your head to face the man who spoke.
Frederick straightened, the teddy bear still clutched in his hand, and gestured towards the obnoxiously large heart-shaped box now in your possession. “That’s my chocolate.”
Your initial reaction was to assume the man was joking, but the expression on his face told you otherwise.
“Right, and that was made so clear by the chocolate being up there on the shelf and you being a foot away staring intently at a teddy bear,” you deadpanned, feeling a spark of annoyance at his sense of entitlement.
“Well, I was about to get it,” Frederick replied, suddenly feeling flustered.
“Look, I’m not going to argue with you over a box of chocolate. You can have it,” you said, holding out the box to him.
Frederick was momentarily stunned by your gesture; he was rarely on the receiving end of kindness these days.
“Thank you, but you should keep it. You did get to it first after all,” Frederick gave you a shy smile.
It was that small, almost hesitant, smile that made you reconsider your first impression of him.
“How about we flip a coin for it?” You suggested and Frederick nodded.
“Heads or tails?” He asked, reaching for a coin in his pocket.
“Tails.”
Frederick tossed the coin and both of you watched it somersault in the air a few times before Frederick caught it. Opening his hand slightly, Frederick saw George Washington’s profile staring back at him.
“Well?” You prompted, unable to see the outcome from where you were standing.
“Tails, definitely tails,” he lied, slipping the coin into his pocket.
You held his gaze for a moment and Frederick was worried you could see through his ruse.
“That’s lucky,” you finally said, allowing Frederick to let out a breath he didn’t know he had been holding. “At least you’re not leaving empty-handed.”
Frederick’s brow furrowed in confusion.
“The bear?” You pointed to the stuffed animal he was still holding.
“Oh, no, this,” He stammered, a blush creeping up his cheeks. “I was just picking it up off the floor.”
“That’s too bad -it’s a cute bear.”
“He’s also damaged,” Frederick pointed out, showing you the gash in the bear’s chest.
“All the more reason why he needs a good home. Besides,” you added, studying the bear. “He’s definitely fixable.”
Frederick fiddled with the bear for a few seconds before speaking again. “Perhaps you should take him as well.”
“Are you sure?”
“Completely.”
“Okay, but then you take the chocolate.”
Frederick was opening his mouth to protest, but you cut him off.
“It’s not fair if I get the chocolate and the bear. Besides, the only chocolate left is the kind that tastes like sawdust and I can’t in good conscious let you buy that.”
“Alright,” Frederick consented, feeling a frisson of excitement as your fingers brushed his when you exchanged the items.
“I promise to take good care of the bear.”
“I don’t doubt that,” Frederick replied, not being able to muster the courage to look into your eyes. It certainly didn’t help that you managed to look lovely even in this dreadful supermarket lighting.
Sensing that the conversation had nearly run its course, Frederick blurted out the first thing that came to mind in a desperate attempt to remain in your company a few moments longer.
“Did you know that the origins of Valentine’s Day can be traced back to a Roman fertility festival called Lupercalia?”
Oh my God, I am such an idiot, he thought, wanting to fling himself into the sun. He swore he could even feel the judgmental stares of the rejected Valentine’s Day stuffed animals on his back. At least he’d had enough sense not to go into detail about what the festival involved. He couldn’t remember anyone making him feel this nervous before.
But instead of finding his rambling annoying, as the tiny voice in the back of his mind told him you would, you smiled at him.
“And yet everyone thinks that Valentine’s Day is a conspiracy invented by Hallmark and chocolate companies.”
Frederick grinned at your joke. He desperately wanted to ask for your phone number but he could feel the tiny voice in the back of his mind growing louder, telling him not to be ridiculous. Someone like you must certainly be in a relationship and, if by some miracle you weren’t, why would you ever want to be with him?
As if sensing his thoughts and deciding to take matters into your own hands, you plucked a heavily discounted box of Peppa Pig valentines off of the shelf and, after taking one of the many pens from your bag, began to write your name and number on one of the cards.
“In case you ever want to visit the bear,” you explained, handing the card over to the man in front of you. “Oh, don’t worry, I’m going to pay for these cards,” you added, mistakenly attributing the shock on Frederick’s face to your blatant disregard of store regulations.
Frederick fought the urge to pinch himself and delicately accepted the card. He would later tell you that your small action was responsible for dividing his life into before and after.
With that you said your goodbyes, remarking that you (and the bear) hoped to hear from him soon.
Watching your retreating figure, Frederick said a silent prayer of thanks. While St. Valentine might have abandoned him, his prayers had certainly been heard by the patron saint of discounted candy.

Gods of Tenruon'ou - Tsakiri, Goddess of the Moon
The Goddess of the Moon, Tsakiri is both the literal and metaphysical embodiment of the heavenly body within the world of Tenruon’ou. She is one of the first two divine beings to emerge from the ether of The Void and in affiliated with human females. She is also known as the Holy Nurturer, the Protector, the Goddess of Tragedy, Mystery, Misery, Lovers, Repentance, Mercy and Protectress of Women. Commonly referred to as Lady Moon or Lady Tsakiri, she was the one to create the oceans and the Sea Realm. Alone she created the Great Silver Shark, Kural, to rule the watery domains she had made and is thus referred to as The Great Mother by Sea Spirits.
Symbols
There are several symbols, motifs, plants and animals that are connected to Tsakiri. They are listed below.
Animals: sharks, coral, starfish
Plants: moonflowers, jasmine, lavender
Stones: emeralds, pearls, white marble
Objects: shark teeth, sea shells, sea glass
  Physical Appearance
Within the lore of Vidy'aa, Tsakiri is described as a female figure with three sets of arms and a long, semi-sheer veil that covers her body. In the full version of The Legend of the Sun and Moon, Tsakiri is described thus;
“With long tresses, dark as the cosmos, she extended her white arms up, down and out to her sides. Delicate fingers grabbed starfoam with which she molded Kural, the Great Silver Shark, first-born of the Great Spirits. The Bright Mother than ripped out the eighth row of her teeth and affixed them to her child’s mouth so that he may use both teeth and tongue as weapon in place of claws. Thus, seven rows of razor sharp teeth remained in the Goddess’s lovely pink mouth.”
Later within the story, her appearance changes as a result of pushing her brother, the Sun God Zoleko, out of their shared Celestial Palace;
“Thus with a great, furious cry the white Goddess pushed her brother and friend from the tower on high in the cosmos. Noble Zoleko tumbled down, shocked at the betrayal of his sister and friend. When her shadow-lurid rage subsided, Tsakiri recoiled at her actions. With a wail she scratched at her face, furrows deep as her sorrow becoming etched on her cheeks. The marks wept silver as her eyes, her tears falling into the Sky Realm as stars.”
It is due to this event that the Moon Goddess begins veiling herself and creating the phases of the moon humans see today, as well as the stars in the night sky.
Through various legends and stories, a concise description for the Goddess is as follows; long, wavy black hair that melts into the dark night sky or cosmos, silver eyes and pale-white skin. Three sets of arms are on her torso; the top set is studded with the gemstones of the Sea, the middle set is swirled with black characters in a language known only to the Gods, and the bottom set has been completely blackened due to her sin of evicting the Sun God, Zoleko. Within her mouth are seven rows of pointed teeth (previously eight before the Great Silver Shark was created) and clawed marks on her cheeks like tear tracts that weep silver liquid. It is unclear if this liquid is the Goddess’s blood or another manifestation of her remorse.
  Genealogy
The following is the family tree of the Goddess Tsakiri.
Mother: Unknown
Father: Unknown
Siblings: Zoleko, God of the Sun; Sheliirpa, The Demon King
Children: Kural, The Great Silver Shark; all Sea Spirits
  Lovers and Offspring
Lovers
Currently, it is unknown if Tsakiri has ever had any lovers. By creating Kural, it was shown she does not require a male counterpart to create. However, all other Sea Spirits were created by herself and Kural. It is unclear if this union was purely in the crafting sense or in the sexual sense.
Some local retellings of The Legend of the Sun and Moon state that Tsakiri and Zoleko were lovers.
Offspring
All Sea Spirits are the offspring of the Moon Goddess. Kural, The Great Silver Shark, is the only Spirit she created alone. Humans who are Blessed by Sea Spirits see themselves, by extension, as children of Tsakiri. The most notable family is the Jurai Clan who have been Blessed by Kural for as far back as human records go. Those Blessed by The Great Silver Shark inherit silver eyes that match both Kural and Tsakiri.
  Key Myths
The following are the myths and legends that are integral to Tsakiri either in regards to characterization by the religion, cosmic role or moral lesson.
The Legend of the Sun and Moon
The story of the creation of the universe. It also tells of the awakening of the Goddess Tsakiri and her brother, Zoleko.
The Legend of the Great Silver Shark
The story detailing the creation of the Great Silver Shark by the Goddess. He was created by Tsakiri alone with no other aid.
The Legend of the Great Drowning
The myth of how the second great human city, Hajitanjō, was drowned at the request of the Great Silver Shark Kural by the Goddess Tsakiri. The city was flooded in order to hide the body of a brave warrior from the Demon Prince Xi’hasa who, it is claimed, to have threatened to defile and puppet the body.
The Legend of the Dragon’s Eye
The tale of how a powerful gem called the Dragon’s Eye is made. There have only been two recorded sightings of the gemstone and both times it has been wielded by someone within the Tanaka Clan.
The Legend of the Constellations
The story of how a young woman showed the Goddess how to make pictures with the stars. A touching tale of female friendship that crossed both station and time.
The Legend of the Lanterns
The tale of three pairs of forbidden lovers; a young priest and a male acolyte of his, an elderly maid and an elderly widowed man, and two female prostitutes. The story blends the three tales into one as the six people encourage and influence one another. It is a love story of hope, kindness and joy. Vastly popular with the common people. Not a religious text.
The Legend of the Bow
A story that tells of how the Moon Goddess inspired a blacksmith to create the bow weapon. Because it was inspired by the crescent shape of the Moon, it became a common weapon for female nobility and linked to the Goddess herself, though the Goddess herself does not wield a bow.
The Legend of Many Scarves
The story of how a male dancer captured the eye of the Moon Goddess. In return for his companionship, she taught him the way of silent movement. It some retellings they become lovers. In others the relationship is that of mentor-student.
The Legend of Destruction
A conspiracy story that is at the crux of the Cult of Rebirth. The story claims that when the end of days comes for the Universe, Alohirona will ascend to the Heavens and the Goddess Tsariri shall unhinge her 7-rowed maw and devour the world whole. She will then give birth to the world once again in another dimension of reality, where Alohirona does not exist.
  Known Favor
While Tsakiri is not known to often interact with humanity, some mortals have caught her eye on occasion.
Javed Sherazi No record exists of this man, but The Legend of Many Scarves claims he was a clerk in service to Lord Prakash of the Bhāharas’ City-States. By night he would be taught by his elder sister, who excelled in the art of ritual dance. Over time, with Javed dancing under the moonlight, he caught the eye of Tsakiri. In some version they became companions of the night with the Goddess whispering secrets to the young man of the cosmos. In other versions he became a lover to the Goddess and laid with her. It in unclear how true this story is.
Jianyi Li The blacksmith of the providence of Sunwen from the destroyed Zhohang Empire. A well-known blacksmith, he is credited with creating the bow during a sleepless. He was inspired by the shape of the Goddess’ mostly-veiled face. In his notes there is line that seems to be either a prayer of a promise to the Goddess; ‘Though you shield your face, I shall make grief a weapon. Your sorrow will protect those of fair form.’
Roshan Terzi A young, Sea Blessed woman from the destroyed Ērsia Kingdom. Legend claims she is the one who created the first constellations by mapping the stars in the sky and noting the pattern of their movements in relation to the earth. All that is known about her comes from The Legend of the Constellations. She may have been a nobleman’s daughter, a favored concubine within the court or simply a fisherman’s daughter depending on the telling.
Himiko Fujita The sculptor of the largest statue of Tsakiri. A flower seller in Hachiiru, it is said she one day awoke with an insatiable need to create the largest image of the Goddess possible. She spent the next several years tirelessly working. The nobility of Mikaizu, moved by her dedication and fierce piety, provided her with gemstones, the finest stone to be mined, sculpting tools, food, water and silver. Though the then head of the Jurai Clan, Ryouta Jurai, offered to send workers to help her, Himiko vehemently refused. When the sculpture was completed, she collapsed on the ground in front of the statue, dead. The statue is enshrined in Haachiiru with an additional small shrine made on the spot Himiko collapsed to honor her. The Smarnians believe she was driven to madness by the Masked Muse.
The Drowned Warrior An unknown warrior whose death caused the flooding and concealment of the rumored second settlement of humanity, Hajitanjō. While no sex is specified by the legend, some scholars speculate them to be Kibou Jurai is the story states that it was at Kural’s request that the city was drowned. Those of the Smarnian Villages believe the drowning occurred due to an offence caused by the people against the Great Shark. The version of the legend told by the Far North Descendants says the warrior was a woman, a virginal maiden who was beloved by Kural but defiled by the demon Xi’hasa. The drowning was a means to purify her soul and allow it to be changed by the Goddess into a shark Spirit so that he may wed her.
Ayako Jurai While there is no record nor rumor that Lady Ayako Jurai has direct favor with the Moon Goddess, it is speculated she is highly favored by her son, Kural. As such, it can be said she is indirectly favored by the Goddess. One of the few female Jurai clan leaders, under her command the region of Mikaizu flourished both economically and socially. Many new temples dedicated to the Goddess were erected, worship of her increased within the region and women were given more freedoms both in possible job occupation and personal health rights. As all women are under Tsakiri’s care, such progressive strides may be seen as worthy of favor by the Goddess.
Kibou Jurai The first human to be Blessed by the Great Shark Spirit, Kural, on record. Kural was the last Great Spirit to Bless humanity and as such, it is surmised that Kibou also received the goddess’ favor.

Prince of Egypt rant
I don’t outwardly admit it because it may seem odd to some but my biggest dream in life is to make something beautiful. Whether it’s music, or art, or a movie or a show, I want to make something that can shake people to their core, make them laugh and cry, something they can relate to on a level they might not even really understand. And I want it to be beautiful in a way that someone could talk about it for hours, and pick out all the little pieces of it that make it the masterpiece it is, and feel so strongly about it that it’s like a personal connection.
My version of that is the Prince of Egypt, because I could talk about it’s animation, it’s plot, and its soundtrack forever. It’s so beautifully made, and I feel so deeply about it that I can’t explain it. I listen to the soundtrack for comfort almost, because to me it’s a personal bond I have with it. The songs always move me every time I listen to them, if not make me cry. I don’t even really believe in God, but there’s something about the hope in the movie that makes me feel encouraged.
When You Believe helps me through hard times, and helps me have hope in myself and my future. The duet is so gorgeous, and the lyrics in Hebrew are so lively that it makes me feel stronger almost, or more hopeful...? And after that, when the whole choir joins for the chorus, it’s so overwhelming, and strong, and everyone’s unified and together as a people, and it just resonates hope and perseverance and courage in the face of difficulty, I sob every time. Because “though hope is frail, it’s hard to kill.” And that last part, when they interject “now you will” into the chorus,,, it gets me every time. I may be over analyzing but to me that’s a statement of determination, like this is going to happen for us, it’s our time, and we’re moving forward from the terrible place we were in. I can really relate to the message of that song, and it’s honestly one of my main things I do in order to motivate myself.
And the scene with the burning bush makes me downright weep. The music gets so intense, and Moses is just floating weightless with light all around him and you can see it reflected in his eyes, it’s so impossibly beautiful and it makes me feel this emotion I can really only relate to religion, despite my being an atheist. He’s so close to God in that scene, and it’s breathtaking, kind of like being saved, or being told things will be okay. And of course him crying after the scene doesn’t help me not cry either. The music rises and recedes as this all takes place, and it really makes the seem magical. I listen to this part of the soundtrack just for that feeling it gives, despite the fact that’s it’s not really a song with lyrics.
And the feeling that’s poured into the soundtrack, even the “mundane” parts, it’s still ridiculously amazing. The recurring melodies at different parts of Moses’ life tie the events together. And they set the mood so so well. Like you know what’s going on by the music alone.
Deliver Us, and Yocheved’s lullaby, it’s so tragic and sorrowful, god damn it kills me. They’re begging for hope and an answer, any way out of the pain they endure, the whole song is really just a prayer. The lullaby is stuck in my head constantly.
And The Plagues. Holy shit, I’ve never heard a song that comes down as hard as that. It just resonates power, I mean it’s about God smiting Egypt with all His strength. And the conflict with Moses and Rameses is so heartbreaking, and Moses is losing everything he once had, it’s so emotional... and the choir singing out the plagues and “thus saith the lord” is so strong like it’s got some punch behind it...
Finally, Through Heaven’s Eyes is a favorite of mine. I listen to it when I feel downtrodden, and when I feel like I have nothing and I want more out of my life. That song really makes me think about how it’s better to see things through a different mindset than my own. Helps remind me that money isn’t everything and in the end life is about how good of a person you were, not your wealth or fame. Like “so how do you measure the worth of a man, in wealth or strength or size? In how much he gained, or how much he gave?” Like damn that’s a question that really makes you think... and it’s so poetic in its wording. There’s other deep lyrics too, e.g. “And that's why we share all we have with you, Though there's little to be found, When all you've got is nothing, There's a lot to go around” because yeah money isn’t everything, and it’s people who detach themselves from wealth that are the kindest and most giving, even though the rich have the most to give. Really hits me hard.
As for the animation, it’s stunning. The flowing hair, the background art, the water, the work they put into coordinating the music with the scene, there’s so much detail and effort that anyone who appreciates art at all can see that this movie took a lot and got a lot of hard work put into it. Moses’ speaking is so natural, and the characters’ movements are so fluid, it’s amazing to watch. And you can tell the pure feeling that went into it, like you can almost know the animator has been in love (Moses twirling Tzipporah, and kissing her in her sleep). And you can tell that they understand emotion, again by how Moses cries. When he sobs after the burning bush, and how he crumples on the palace wall after the tenth plague and seeing Rameses’ dead son. They really knew what they were doing when they animated those. And the parallels between Yocheved and Miriam, both looking up with tears in their eyes as they sing, holy shit... that’s heavy. And the blood in the Nile, how Moses can hear God, and it’s almost silent as he places the staff in the water and the blood starts flowing and everyone’s confused, until the soldiers realize what’s happening and they slosh blood everywhere. Damn powerful imagery there. Don’t even get me started with the burning bush scene oh god, it’s so BEAUTIFUL. You can almost feel Moses’ fear and trepidation as he first speaks with the bush, and how he cowers when he’s scolded. And he winces as he recalls his mistakes in Egypt. And the little tumbling rocks and light waves on the floor, and how God’s voice is emphasized on certain words with stronger light. And then, the best part, when Moses is lifted, and wrapped in light, he’s so awestruck and the light in his eyes and his flowing hair and clothes, it looks so divine and it really feels like encountering God myself. The feeling from that scene is so grand and wonderful, and like I said, I relate it to the feeling of being saved and being cared for. It’s the most religious thing I can relate to. It leaves me shaken, but in a good way. All that animation must’ve been hard but damn they did a beautiful beautiful job. And during when you believe, they coordinated the animation with the music perfectly. It starts in darkness before dawn, but gets more joyful as the song progresses. And you see families being happy and people working together. In particular I like how people slowly join the crowd, and it’s awesome how they even included Egyptian soldiers dropping their weapons and joining. Very cool of them to show that, I guess as a reminder that they weren’t all bad and could choose to turn to God. And before you know it the crowd is huge, and the lyrics become Hebrew, then it’s that big chorus... I love that. So pretty. And for the parting of the Red Sea, hot damn... Moses wades out into the water, with the army so close, and the column of fire in the back, and it’s so quiet it’s strange. And he looks up, listening to God, and he hears the words, and just like that he plunges the staff into the water, and the animation of his movement for that is so so so good. Like you can tell he’s putting his whole being into that miracle. And the water soars up, and it’s so majestic and miraculous, it’s breathtaking. The water just shoots out from his feet, and you get a real sense for what is at play in terms of God’s power. And the people with torches passing through, and the whale seen in the water, like who thinks of that?? They do because they wanted to emphasize how spectacular and even terrifying the experience was for the Hebrews. And when the water comes crashing down, that’s a masterpiece in itself. It sweeps the soldiers away and Rameses tries to stand up against it, only to be swept away himself (I dare say thats symbolism for him losing and yielding to God’s power). And when the waves close, the water still laps and vibrates, and you can see the mist on the surface being blown by the wind. So gorgeous...
honestly I could gush about this movies animation and music for days upon days. I’ll never get tired of it. It’s a beautiful masterpiece, a story of hope and overcoming obstacles. I want to make something like that, so people can see things in a similar way. That is my ultimate goal in life.
