if i had the storage space i absolutely would go through the webtoon again to get fun screenshots for reaction image purposes,,, alas i do not so i will just use the ones i take every now and then
i love the art in tged so so much im so glad i read this webtoon

Okay, I just gotta rant a bit about TGED, and probably will get other opinions, and that's great, so please share them!
Also, this is mostly my speculation, I have ONLY read the webtoon, and I haven't been able to find the novel properly translated to read, so have mercy.
SO. I know that og!Lloyd was a bully to Javier and Julien and all that jazz, but it looked to me that he was an alcoholic that desperately needed help.
He lashed out and thew fits to call the attention of his parents, that he was sure as hell they were going to replace him with Javier at any point. (Bc let's be real, the Frontera's affection seems heavily conditional)
Arcos was pretty okay by letting Javier do whatever he wanted, becoming a knight was his choice and he did everything to make that happen.
Then, we have Javier's duties, that was to watch over 'Lloyd', which that also more or less what he did because he wasn't with Lloyd all the time.
The Fronteras were more than okay by letting him leave their alcoholic son alone and drunk somewhere in town. Which was what killed him by falling n breaking his head,,,, that wouldn't have happened if Javier was actually there,,,,
The there's this detail I noticed in the imagery, in most cases it's suggested that Javier is confused as the heir and novel bc he's handsome, but that's not it.
it's bc he gives a novels profile. And the reason is his clothes.
Javier seems to be dressing like the proper heir, and wears the same style as Arcos Frontera, meanwhile Lloyd is left to dress like a commoner. That's why he's confused as Javier's servant, bc he looks like it.
Arcos Frontera didn't want to deal with an alcoholic son, he had enough on his plate by letting his estate become in debt and bc of his spineless attitude.
He was most likely replace Lloyd with Javier, or make Julian the heir. He was ignoring Lloyd, and just paying attention when he caused damage to the town. Because then it would come back to him.
He didn't actually cared if he died in a ditch.
I don't justify og!Lloyd's behavior at all, but I understand what was going with him. He was mad, he was jealous, and he was frustrated, and the only thing that made him feel better was some drinks.
He was so depressed he wanted to be blackout drunk, and that killed him anyway.
I'm honestly very much into how our!Lloyd has put such boundaries with the Fronteras, bc he's a guest in his own home. He wants to lazy around, but he doesn't actually do it at home, he did it once and immediately got an excuse to go out and work.
But anyway, this is such my own analysis on the matter, I find absolutely fascinating the takes this webtoon has taken over the Isekai trope, and how that affects to those around the mc.

posting abt it here too.... its been a while since ive gotten rly invested in a new webtoon but im rly enjoying this one...
I just clicked on it bc the art style looked cute... and it IS but I didn't expect to actually get so invested 😭😭 It's an adaptation of a webnovel, and it's a twist on the fantasy romance novel isekai genre!! I have no interest in normal romance novel isekai stories tbh, theyre just so boring to me... the only novel isekai I've enjoyed so far have been subversions of the genre... orv, surviving romance,,, so what im saying is im enjoying this bc its also a subversion-!! (So far it doesnt seem to be a romance at all, and the guy being isekai'd hasnt even read the book so it's interesting bc he has to do like detective work to figure out whats going on... ) Here's the synopsis:
There's not many chapters of the webtoon out but I'm already liking it a lot😭😭 I actually couldnt wait so I started reading the original novel too... It goes into more detail than the webtoon and I can't wait to read more aaah😭😭 Making this post in the hopes of getting someone else to read it with me bc i feel insane rn dkfbndnd
edit: I also want to give ppl a heads up abt a p major translation error in the EN webtoon: The "emperor" is actually a female empress; just mentally correct "his majesty" to "her majesty" in your head when u read😭
edit2: they did it again... The ruler of the Divine Kingdom is also a woman, and was mis tl as male 😭Wonder when the webtoon tl will ever fix it...

so,I found some spoilers about remarried empress andLets say, your gonna hate heinrey for a moment after reading this:Whenever I see someone point out how evil Heinrey or Duke Ergi are, I feel a boost of serotonin. Because, they are terrible people. But because Heinrey is the ML, we're just supposed to ignore he was literally planning on starting a war for no reason with the Eastern Empire, and even before that, he was draining the magic from kids (who are *orphans* and their only way to rise up in life/social status is their magic - even besides that, taking away their magic is like taking away a limb, it's a part of themselves)? No way. And no, other mahnwhas/webtoons doing this (i.e. excusing the ML's terrible actions) doesn't make it an acceptable trope. And the author dropped the ball so hard on Kaufman, I swear.
((I barely remember Kaufman tbh. Most of the characters personality in this story can be summed down to this ‘I’m a good guy and Navier is a goddess. I’m a bad guy, pls ignore my blatant trauma as I’m not apart of the church of Navier.))
This story really gets wonkier the more you think about it. Heinrey has done some terrible things but then the story tries to pass him off as a “OWO OWO CINNAMON ROLL BC HE’D DO ANYTHING FOR QUEEN GODDESS JEDI LEADWR NAVIER!!679!! 🥹 ISNT HE SO WHOLESOME?!”
Totally bull.
I don’t have a problem with Heinrey starting a war or doing shady stuff because that’s ironically the only part of his personality that doesn’t boil down to massive vanilla flavored SIMP. What I do HAVE a problem with is how it makes zero sense how he fell in love with Navier so quickly and how there was zero tension between the two. The story never even addresses it in a meaningful way- so I say, “what was the reason?!?”
Think about it, Navier is supposed to be a fantastic empress who works hard for her people and is super politically savvy but none of that shows with Heinrey or his weirdo friend. Ironically her marrying Heinrey to still maintain her power could’ve been more interesting if she really did use it as an undercover spy thing if she were suspicious about him- because I mean how did she not put two and two together? Since Heinrey came into town people- WIZARDS a huge part of her empire started losing power and an uneducated slave started pulling powers move that she’d otherwise not know about- like how didn’t she figure something out??? Is she stupid?
I also like how the citizens rightfully feel betrayed by this and get angry- for once it’s actually some realism! But the story only uses it to say “OwO poor lil Navier no one understands our queen/goddess 🥺 stupid peasants!”

do you have any tips for making a webtoon, cause I have one rn but I'd like to improve :P
im not really a good authority on what helps, i have no idea what im doing- but some things i think help me
letter formatting & speech bubbles, here r some things i dont like, bubble 1 being my hater bubble
so like uhh the first bubbles weirdly perfect compared to eveything else. itll jump out and be strange to look at. and the text is formatted in a way thats a little disjointed to read, keeping the words that need each other to make sense next to each other helps. if that makes sense. it doesnt. i think anything can work in context though. the weird first bubble is probably one id assign to a robot bc it reads strangely & i would think its funy. look up literally any lettering tutorial by anyone else though i have again no idea what im talking about.
I'm annoying and i've had like. multiple of these bubbles. theyre evil but i did them anyway. as a bit. but noone likes reading them. the bit wasnt worth it. but if you want a huge speech bubble noones stopping you but also people will probably not read the bubble. but also if the giant speech bubble calls to you... it will call.
also bold and italics r good for emphasis as well as singling out words for their own bubbles.
establishing shots r rly important, the audience will get confused if you jump around place to place without giving context to where you're jumping to. sometimes you can skip them though! again, its really a case by case basis.
assets are helpful, i dont use them much bc there isnt much i've found i draw enough to actually merit making assets for but I made a asset for trishas spatula and i didnt have to keep drawing her spatula which was nice.
I have nothing helpful to say. believe in urself. watch youtube tutorials.

concept of remarried empress? cool. actual manwha? i’m sorry it was so long and drawn out. the webtoon version isn’t even over yet and it’s been out forever 😭 anyway, your empress au’s are the best thing
aww thank you so much nonnie :’) i was lowkey worried and a bit deflated for this series at first bc i’m afraid ppl will mistake it for blatant plagiarism (i got one subpost about it saying i was just rewriting the manhwa even, ngl i was so disappointed that day) but i did promise it’s going to be different tho🥲
so i’m happy that you like it! :’D thank you for reading!🩵

here @shiroen ! Hellooo for the itgr ask game, 🎤 hot takes and 🫂favorite duo?
thanks for the questions shiro!!
🎤 - it’s hard to gauge what’s popular/unpopular in small fandoms, especially when most of them aren’t active online (and i stopped reading webtoon comments ages ago), so i don’t really have any opinions that i would consider unpopular. i definitely have complaints about how certain things are handled like how scarlet and chase’s relationship was portrayed in s3, the useless subplot of brook, scarlet, and chase becoming vigilantes, or chase and brook’s underdeveloped relationship. but they don’t HEAVILY influence my enjoyment of the series. and in the grand scheme of things, my takes are lukewarm at best.
not to be basic but i have a soft spot for brook and scarlet’s relationship. i’ve always kinda related to brook in regards to his toxic relationship with his sister. don’t worry, my sister’s never tried to kill me but up until recent years, we’ve had a pretty terrible relationship. i was always jealous of my friends or ppl on tv who had the “typical” sibling experience of “yeah we hate each other but we’ll have each other’s backs!” i’m delving into headcannon territory now but i always imagined that brook saw scarlet as an older sister in a way. now, i usually hate “sibling coding” arguments bc i think it’s stupid most of the time and just an excuse for ppl to demonize certain ppl for liking ship instead of just saying you see them as friends (cause anything outside of romantic attraction must be familial /s). however with brook and scarlet i can actually get behind the idea. idk, the two of them just speak to me. i remember when i first started reading s4 and grave did that whole fakeout with brook and scarlet not being friends anymore, i contemplated whether or not i wanted to continue reading the series, i’m not even joking. like, you wanna kill chase? fine whatever. but let scarlet and brook stay together please! 😭
again, thanks for the asks! sorry if the responses were a little boring 😅
