You know what I haven't felt in the premiere of a new SiIvaGunner Season in a very long time? Complete and utter confusion.

Within recent memory, with both Season 7 and Season 8, I felt as if their premieres served as comforting, reassuring statements on what the year set out to deliver; the celebratory Year of Grand Dad for the former, and the comfort in an old friend becoming host with the latter, covered on Magolor's Shoppe Fusion Collab. Both seasons would later come to deliver some amazing surprises throughout, particularly by their finales, but lots of their runs felt comfortably reassuring, showing a team on track with a vision clear to both themselves and to us in the audience. Even in the years before, the premieres have served like a comforting bridge into the future; Season 2, 3 and 4 Episode 1 all formally introduced to us by Chaze the Chat himself to explain the path going forward. And yet as 2025 begins, as MAGFest came to an end and the team geared back up to begin uploading...suddenly, things got weird. Despite the last season's ending being all about piecing things together, about building bridges to move forward; 2025's season began with what I can only describe as a non-sequitur. With barely as much as a warning, we were thrust into Stingy's world, into Season Mine - not Nine - and it all, indeed, belongs to him.

It's hardly the first time that the channel's control has been usurped by an unexpected out-of-left-field arrival - I spent last week's post on Tribute to a MAD Agent discussing Inspector Gadget's terrifying Season 2 rule, best demonstrated on Become as Gadget - yet what differentiates Stingy's takeover is the context building up to it all. There's an undeniable sense of impulsive hap-hazardry that surrounds the early years of SiIvaGunner, with projects and events coming and going on a whim and the channel only taking it all seriously whenever it felt like it. The ARG that concluded Season 8, covered similarly haphazardly back on PRIMEneria, was all about addressing this carefree event-building, piecing together every possible stray bit of lore dropped throughout the early years to form a greater understanding of the whole. For instance, back during the first anniversary of The Reboot in Season 2, we were shown Fly High, No Lies ~Genocide Ending~: an out-of-nowhere alternate timeline highlighting how things could have turned out in the original Reboot storyline following if Chad's own behavior was more "accurate to how he is in the real world", even including the line "this was my true plan all along". The implications of this alternate-reality Chad Warden were left completely unexplored therafter, until the current SiIva team built onto it for this very same ARG to completely reframe the Reboot storyline, Chad's behavior, and even the original motives behind the channel's defacto villain of nine years, The Voice Inside Your Head. This was but one subject of many that the Susie ARG directly addressed; it framed the Season, then, as one of putting all the pieces together, putting all of one's ducks in a row, for the explosive finale of the storyline that lies just ahead.

And then, within that framing, with MAGFest hype having come and gone, with The Meeting and its messaging still fresh in everyone's minds...Stingy arrives. "After numerous long internal debates deciding on the next channel host", the SiIva team says on Discord, "we felt like there was really no better choice than Stingy!"; keep in mind, dear reader, that Stingy himself has NEVER appeared in SiIvaGunner lore beforehand, and that his song, the Mine song, had at this point appeared exactly FOUR times in the channel's entire history. I was in complete shock at 1AM on my phone; seeing Stingy's public announcement on the YouTube Community tab, the profile picture changing in an instant, tabbing over to the Discord server to see fellow fans in just as much disarray as myself. Unheard of for any prior takeover, Stingy was claiming ownership of far more than just the channel; SiIvaGunner's very own Discord account, the Twitter, the BlueSky, the Newgrounds...with every passing minute, the Discord community scrambled to see which online platforms had yet to be claimed by the assertive young prince, each discovery met with dread mere minutes after being shared. Bandcamp, Minecraft, Roblox, TikTok, the official highquality.rip website, all claimed to be his; all to the tune of the YouTube channel's new wave of Stingy-themed rips. Surely, this was just a momentary takeover...right?

Despite the aforementioned sparse usage of the song prior on the channel, however, rips like Unfounded Ownership show just how fun of a source the Mine song really is. LazyTown has over the years gained quite a reputation in online circles for having genuinely really fun songs; the Pirate Song, Bake A Cake, and of course the SiIvaGunner-pioneered We Are Number One which I've covered everywhere from on we are number one but with outdated memes over it to We Are Number 4 (Golden). Robbie Rotten is hardly an unknown presence to us, and his constant output of rips since the beginning of Season 2 have shown just how capable the ripping team are at leveraging just one song in so many creative ways; its this matured, seasoned team that's now under Stingy's beck and call, and the touch for quality is already apparent this early on into his rule. Setting aside its sheer listenability in its own right for just a moment, Unfounded Ownership is filled with fantastic touches around just about every corner, with the thumbnail change being the most obvious one; replacing not just Lucas' front-and-center render with a prideful Stingy, but also various background screenshots from Brawl with images reaffirming Stingy's rule. Beyond that, though, you hear it around every part of the listening experience, such as the rising WANO trumpet fanfares and flairs from 0:28 to 0:40, the "MINE-MINE" stingers that appear loudly in the section following, and of course the "This instrumental riff is also mine" quote being so perfectly placed in the brief interlude inbetween the song's more hectic segments.

But to of course return to the main topic at hand; this rip shows just how much the channel's long-term rippers, rippers like SamanthaMK and the many more who have been helping the channel for half a decade's worth of time, have grown in experience and proficiency. We don't have official stems released for the Mine song the way we now do with WANO, and as prior mentioned it's not exactly one that's well explored online beyond low-effort MrMrMANGOHead-core parodies, and yet Unfounded Ownership sounds as if the team had been doing these rips for all of 2024 behind our backs. The pitch shifting is both hilarious and exceptionally done, working alongside the placement of specific vocals for harmony with Unfounded Revenge's melody; the repeating, compounding "Mine-mine-mine-mine-mine"'s at 0:14 followed by the high-pitched "it all belongs to meee~" show what I mean just about perfectly. It's in large part just what I find impressive about rips like no more nuzzles in my skin; merging two seemingly conflicting songs in degrees so far above a mere mashup that you begin to question how the ripper managed to sit through it all to begin with, the end product lying so, so far away.

Every relisten I find some new little part of Unfounded Ownership to love, and saying that makes me feel absolutely insane given that I still can't quite even comprehend the state that the channel itself is even in. I'm taken back to the beginning of Season 4 Episode 1, where Chaze the Chat introduced the season as being one explicitly aiming to be "more unpredictable and chaotic than ever before"; yet, paradoxically, making said announcement in the same means of season premieres as the prior two years had already done. Season 4 Episode 1 did indeed have some absurdist highlights - I'll never forget the likes of Chain of Memories 2 Day or Sex - Steve Harvey - and yet the Season ironically wound up becoming far more known for the most expected part of its run, the tournament sequel announced before the season even began; reflective, in a sense, of how Chaze the Chat's wish for chaos was announced in the most expected means possible. Funny enough, SamanthaMK even worked on last year's season premiere with Magolor's Shoppe Fusion Collab, a collab as comforting and reassuring as it was, in part, expected; With Season Mine, with Stingy's takeover, meanwhile, Chaze the Chat's promise for chaos is finally being followed through upon, the tables being flipped only after so much time had been spent carefully decorating it. It's with the first channel host to truly take over EVERYTHING, the first season to exclude a number from its name entirely, the first premiere in ages to make me feel genuinely uncertain about what's in the pipeline for the channel; all, of course, still paired with rips like Unfounded Ownership, that show the team's utmost confidence and proficiency running high behind it all.

Jungwon

Jealous of Heeseung

All the boys know you seem to be closest to Heeseung, figuring due to you both being the same age. The boys even call you Mom and Dad. They like to say it’s mostly because you both bicker like an old married couple. The both of you also caring and taking care of the boys, similar to how parents would. Jungwon recently refused to call either of you anything besides your government names, not even using your regular nicknames. You both thought this was weird but just let it be, thinking he may just be stressed or something. That was until after the most recent filming of an EN-O’CLOCK episode.

The boys spilt into 2 teams of 3 with one of them being the ref for the game. The team leaders were drawn and just so happen to be Jungwon for team 1 with Heeseung for team 2. You cheered for both of them when they were drawn but Jungwon swore you cheered louder for Heeseung. Maybe that was just in his head though, so he pushed his thoughts away and focused on the game. After the first 2 rounds of the game, both teams scored were tied. The third round would determine the winner and you decided to talk to each team before they went back out for the final round. First, to Heeseung’s team, giving praises to each member and lastly their leader. Telling him about how amazing of a team leader he was being, how good/handsome he looked doing it, and how proud you were of him. Jungwon heard this and was immediately upset, but knew you still had to come talk with his team. You did the same for his team, then for his praises. He was feeling a little jealous of Heeseung, but hoped you’d say something very similar about him. You thought you did, truly, not even thinking about the difference between each of their praises. 

“Wonnie our cute leader as always, you are doing a great job!” His smile completely fell from his face, hitting the ground. 

‘How could you say those things about his hyung but not him, the actual leader of Enhypen.’ ‘Did you only see him as a cute baby leader?’ ‘Did you even truly respect him as Enhypen’s leader or did you secretly think of Heeseung as the leader?’ These were all the thoughts running through his head as you finished your praises for the other boys on his team. You went back to your seat to watch the finish of the game. They played a good game but you noticed Jungwon seemed distracted compared to before. Not sure why, especially since your praises for him as a leader usually cause him to do better than his best. What was going on?

“And the winning team is…..team 2!” You heard, bringing you back to reality. Cheering for them, they said their ending lines, Jungwon looking as if he was forcing a smile. A smile that only people around him often would be able to know it was forced. The other boys on Jungwon’s team began talking about the last round as he sluggishly walked away, heading toward the waiting room. You congratulated Heeseung’s team, spoke to team 1 about how well they also did, and then went to hunt for their now hidden leader. You found him near the makeup station, on a couch, looking out the window. He seemed to be sulking but you decided to try what usually made him break when upset. 

“You know Wonnie, you are very cute when you sulk. You look like a sad kitten.” Any other time before today that would’ve made him smile, giggle, and even pull him out of his mood. Today was very different though, this was a brand new side of Jungwon to you.

“Would you just stop?” He said without looking in your direction. You were very taken back by this comment. His tone was one only comparable to a strict parent or teacher. You stepped away from him a few steps as he continued, looking at you this time.

“I am a mature leader. I am a great leader for Enhypen. I am not just cute. Why can’t you see me as more than just a cute boy. Why don’t you think I can be a better leader than Heeseung. Just because he’s the oldest and…” He trailed off a bit at the end. His thoughts were all finally coming out at once, like word vomit, landing in a puddle in front of you. Knowing that if you didn’t inturrupt him he would only continue vomiting, you opened your mouth to speak. Just as you were about to speak Heeseung came into the room with utterly horrible timing. 

“Where’s the sore loser hmmm?” He just wanted to poke fun like he usually does, but today was the worst possible day and time to do it. Jungwon’s eyes filled with tears of frustration. You quickly turned around and escorted the eldest out of the room.

“What? I’m just kidding….. he knows that.” Heeseung tried to explain to you as you seemed a little frantic.

“Hee, right now is not the time. I’m dealing with something between Wonnie and I, I’m sorry to seem rude and push you out. I just don’t want him pointing his frustration with me, to you, unintentionally.” He nodded, heading back to join the other boys, making sure they gave you both time to talk privately. You walked through the room towards him again, noticing he now had his hoodie on, covering his head, with his face in his hands. You sat down beside him, making sure to leave a little distance between you both. Facing straight, rather than looking at his slouched figure, you began hoping he would feel talked to instead of feeling talked at.

“Wonnie… Sorry. Jungwon.” His ears perked up a bit as you really only ever call him Wonnie. He already felt more respected hearing you say his name.

“You said a lot of things for me to address. Firstly, I’m really sorry I’ve somehow made you feel this way I never meant to hurt you with my comments.” He uncovered his face, still not looking in your direction. You were still unable to see his face, not wanting to look in his direction just yet.

“I do think you are mature, especially as a leader. I think you truly were the best and only choice to be Enhypen’s leader. Yes, Heeseung is the oldest but I have never said I think he’d be a better leader than you. I also never said you were just a ‘cute boy’. You are much more than that, but you are so darn cute.” You heard a little giggle followed by a sniffle. Scooting closer to him you leaned back, your right shoulder connecting with his left. 

“I really am sorry Jungwon, I had no idea you were feeling this way.” You apologized again, looking at him as you finished, not realizing he was already looking at you with the sweetest glossy eyes. He felt kind of silly and guilty for not just talking about it with you but his jealousy got the better of him. You both just smiled at each other, giggling. Jumping up you stuck out your hand for him to take.

“Let’s go leader Jungwonnie!”

Jungwon took your hand as he stood up, following behind you, laughing.

Sunoo

Jealous of Jake

“Jake~ Can I please have a bite?” You pretended to beg, pouting at him. Jake smiled at you from across the table. Reaching across the table he let you take a bite of his snack. Next to you was Sunoo, with the exact same snack, and he was just about to offer you a bite of his. He raised an eyebrow at this, thinking ‘Maybe Y/n just missed that I had the same snack as Jake.’ You noticed Sunoo’s body language change a bit after this interaction with his hyung and joked.

“I didn’t want to be rejected for asking for a bite from you!” Sunoo couldn’t help but take the bait and bicker back at you. The both of you tended to bicker like siblings and gave each other the most sass out of the entire group. After the short snack break the boys went back to their dance practice as you sat on the floor against the mirror, watching them. During practice they made sure to work on their flirty and cute faces. Knowing they were doing extra well judging by your reactions. During Sunoo’s part in the prechorus he made sure to watch your face closely. This part he decided to go for a cute flirty smile, which got a dull reaction and an eyeroll from you. You loved Sunoo, especially when he was cute, but he is so confident in his cuteness that you don’t react to it as much anymore. Usually if you were to have a dull reaction it would motivate him to try out newer things. You didn’t think today was any different. Knowing he’s not as confident in acting sexy compared to the other boys, you didn’t think of it as harmful to cheer or react more for that. You also didn’t think the eyeroll was in distaste either since it was basically a form of communication between you both. Jake’s chorus part came up shortly after Sunoo moved from the middle and he decided to act more smiley and sweet. This caused you to blush not really expecting it at the time, but you also smiled knowing he was studying your reaction. Sunoo for the rest of the dance just looked annoyed and refused to look directly at you. Only thinking of it as him being focused, you tried to brush it off as only that. The cheoreographer annouced another short break and you went straight up to Heeseung, Jungwon, and Jake, genuinley complimenting them on their cute actions. Sunoo overheard, rolling his eyes to himself right as you turned in his direction. Hoping you missed the sassy eye roll, he flashed a fake smile at you as you walked toward him.

“Decided to try and play cool today? I don’t know about cute Sunoo anymore, I’m starting to like cool Sunoo more!” All he could do was try to walk away, his arm caught by your hand before he could escape.

“Are you upset I didn’t call you the cutest person on earth? Come on you didn’t give much today!” He rolled his eyes, making sure you saw, then stared at you blankly. This reaction caused relization to hit you like a train. Realizing you took it too far, your face immediately softened with worry.

“Ahhhh Sunoo you know I’m joking! Your choice in flirty faces was really good, looked very cool!” You praised, only getting a sassy sigh in return. Something was seriously wrong, having a feeling it was comepletely your fault. You didn’t think joking around with him like normal would upset him, but maybe today was an off day and you just hadn’t noticed until now.

“Sun, what’s wrong?” You asked, loosing all the sassiness you had in your voice just a moment before. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. You were getting the silent treatment from him. Deciding not to pry you let him be, moving on to speak with the group of 3 again. Playing on his phone, alone, he watched your interactions with these members. ’Seriously? Y/n really isn’t concerned for me? I guess I’m just here to bicker with.’ Was all that was going through Sunoo’s thoughts. Seeing you smile and laugh with Jake after only trying to bicker with him all day really stabbed him multiple times in the chest. 

They went back to practicing, Sunoo making simple mistakes, looking frustratred rather than laughing it off like he might’ve usually done. This really caught your attention, beginning to worry you even more. Still being a bit upset about the silent treatment you had recieved, you decided to try and get a reaction out of him after practice ended. As he was packing up his things you walked over to him, wanting to just make a little joke about his seemingly busy mind. Jake was next to him and had apperently beat you to it.

“What happened today Sunoo? Did your cuteness meter run out early today?” Trying to ignore Jake’s comment he just kept packing his things. Jake thought this was weird from the usually sassy Sunoo so he tried once more.

“Not laughing off mess ups, not sassing me, and not even acting cute? Y/n’s Sun must be loosing his touch.” He commented in a joking type tone. Jake really didn’t mean harm to him here, but that’s for sure how it was received. Sunoo slowly lifted his head, not realizing you were directly behind him, looking at a slightly smiley faced Jake. Seeing his smile made him completely lose it.

“Y/n’s Sun hasn’t lost his touch. Y/n has just decided to give you all my special praises for you acting cute recently. Not even sure why either, you are not ev-“

“Kim Sunoo!” You said a little louder than intended, drawing attention to the situation. Since it was you who said it everyone quickly turned back to what they were doing, not thinking anything of it. Sunoo jumped, not knowing you were behind him, while Jake was in shock over your harsh tone. He quickly grabbed his stuff and joined the other boys, Sunoo remaining frozen. Waiting until the room was clear you moved to sit infront of him, right next to the things he was packing up. He could only look at his feet, like a scolded child. Sighing, you began in a much sweeter but pleading tone.

“Sunoo, I’m not mad, but what is going on today? You are worrying me.” He sighed, looking at you with the most sorry looking puppy eyes.

“Why don’t you think I’m cute anymore?” He asked bluntly, leaving you in utter disbelief. You called him Sun for a reason, what was he talking about? He continued.

“Why am I only good enough to bicker with now? Am I even your Sun anymore?” As your brain was trying to find reason to why he must be thinking this way, it hit you.

“Is this about me being cute and sweet with Jake?” You blurted out, watching as he sat down next to you. Sighing again, you questioned him another time

“Are you jealous? You gave me the silent treatment because you were jealous?” Using a funny tone while saying this you finally got Sunoo to break, causing him to giggle. It finally hit him how ridiculous he’d acted, rather than just asking you about it. You knew he was more than likely trying to come up with an apology but you beat him to it.

“I’m sorry… I’m sorry I haven’t made our bickering and praises for being cute more equal recently. You don’t have to worry about me with Jake, you’ll always be my one and only, cutest Sun.” Sunoo laughed while leaning into your shoulder, beginning to feel much better now. Deciding to finally break his side of the tension.

“I can’t believe you asked Jake for a snack cutely. That was pretty embarassing.” You laughed, kissing the top of his head.

“Embarrassing yet it still made you jealous… Weird.” Sunoo rolling his eyes while blushing, happy he had his Y/n back.

Niki

Jealous of Jungwon

For some reason you had recently noticed some tension between Niki and Jungwon. Very odd and surprising to you, especially not hearing about any sort of argument or anything. You had questioned Jay and Heeseung about the behavior you had taken note of. They both agreed that they noticed the same things and were starting to grow more worried. Especially since Jungwon also seemed to be in the dark about the situation. All of you were hanging out doing your own separate things, enjoying each other's company in the dorm. You decided to go ahead and pull Jungwon aside to ask him about the tension.

“What happened between you and Riki, Won?” He looked at you with pleading eyes.

“I was hoping you knew because I have no idea but was trying to figure out how to approach the topic with him.” You sighed knowing this may not be easy, but agreed to talk to Niki first. As you were about to go find the maknae his eyes met yours across the room, watching you speak with Jungwon. Niki’s eyes turned a hurt shade of grey and he walked into a bedroom, closing the door behind him. Everyone looked at the now shut door as the echo of the slam spread throughout the room. Jungwon and you looked at each other knowing it must have something to do with both of you now. 

“If he reacted that way to us talking privately, I have a feeling he may be jealous.” You suggested to the leader.

“Should we-“ Cutting him off you began quickly.

“I’ll try to talk to him. I don’t want a fight to happen, if I need you I’ll text you, okay?” Jungwon sighed in relief and smiled nervously.

“Okay, thank you.”

You made your way to the room where Niki resided, feeling the cold emotions coming from underneath the door like smoke. Lightly knocking you prayed he’d answer. There unfortunetely was no answer so you knocked again, a little harder this time.

“Heeseung go away.” He stated harshly. Even though you weren’t Heeseung, the tone in his voice still punchtured your heart a bit. You absoultley adored Niki and could tell there was hurt behind his blunt response.

“It’s not Heeseung…” Softly responding, hoping it would reach his ears through the door. You then quickly heard movement from the other side of the barrier. He cracked his protective shield open a bit, peaking out of the crack, assuming you had brought Jungwon with you. Once he noticed it was only you he let you in and closed the door behind you. You sat on the bed not wanting to seem hostile or upset when questioning him. Only wanting him to feel comfortable with you like always. You scooted over on the bed as he looked in your direction, not yet walking toward you, looking at you with refusing eyes. Understanding you watched him close the distance between you both and then stop and stand there. Still some uncomfortable distance left between you and him, more than he would ever normally leave. This hurt you, but you understood. You began, knowing their was no way he was going to address the elephant in the room first.

“Riki, why have you been so distant with Jungwon? You’ve been a bit weird with me as well. Did we do something to upset you? We-“ He cut you off in a deep tone.

“I’m surprised you didn’t send in the ‘best leader Won’.” After he said this the room fell completely silent, only the muffled activites outside the door could be heard. You knew exactly what he was referencing once he said ‘best leader Won.’ You always make sure to give compliments to Jungwon about being a leader because you know it can be really difficult. Especially when you know he’s having hard days or feeling insecure about his position. The silence as your thoughts gathered killed Niki, so he broke it.

“Why do you respect him more than me? Just because he’s the leader and I’m the maknae?” You couldn’t help but lightly laugh in response, completely in disbeilf of what he just accused you of.

“What-“ You got out before bieng cut off once again. Realizing Niki’s brain was going a mile a minute you just let him continue.

“Do you find this or me funny? I shouldn’t be surprised at all. I’m not Jungwon, so why take this seriously at all. You don’t even respect me do you? I’m just baby Riki, hm?” When you heard the end of this though, that was your final straw. Standing up from the bed, he was surprised that your subtle movement and his eyes met yours.

“I understand you are upset but I came in here to talk, not to be harshly spoken to, and especially not to be accused of such silly things.” The sentence came out a little harsher than you intended, but him accusing you of such things really stung. You wanted to stay calm so you took a deep breath, stepping toward him as he broke your eye contact. 

“Niki.” Hearing the N replacing the R you usually use for his name caused his body to stiffen with tension. You have always called him Riki because you think it’s cute. Only ever calling him Niki when you are dead serious or upset with him, so almost never. You could sense you panicked him so you timidly grabbed his hands in yours. Even though he was still looking at the ground, you began.

“I really am confused about why you think I don’t respect you or respect Jungwon more than you. Just because Jungwon is the leader of Enhypen doesn’t mean I respect him more than any of you. You are the youngest, yes, but that has nothing to do with me taking you seriously or the respect I have for you.” You could see the tension and worry in his shoulders relax. 

“Just please be honest with me if I did anything to make you feel this way towards both me and Jungwon.” He looked up at you again, letting go of your hands and crossing his arms. You knew he wasn’t too keen on talking about when he was feeling jealous, so you understood the shift. He cleared his throat.

“Sometimes I just get jealous of the praise Jungwon gets from you. Sometimes it feels like I get nothing compared to what he does. Especially since there’s so many comments about him being leader.” You couldn’t help but frown and feel guilt rush over you. Knowing that it wasn’t true but it was how Niki had been feeling, completely broke your heart. He looked down again feeling embarrassed about his confession, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.

“Riki…” His eyes shot back to meet yours once more as he heard the R leave your mouth. It was like music to his ears. 

“I never mean to make it seem like I’m cheering for or praising one of you more than the other, okay?” He could only nod his head as you continued. “Sometimes I can tell when one of you may need a little extra love at the time and try to adjust my comments appropriately. I’m sorry, I’ll try to be more aware from now on, I never wanted to make you feel like this Riki. I’ve been trying to figure out what was bothering you, I’m sorry I didn’t ask sooner.” So much guilt rushed over him that he fell completely silent again, not answering, and standing frozen in place. You could tell by his face that he was overthinking again. Spreading your arms out as an invitation, he accepted, hugging you, and melting in your embrace. Before separting you said in a whisper.

I've gotten so stupidly connected to the characters in MD to the point where I see them everywhere I go. I read so many fanfics whether it'd be canon compliant or a super interesting AU that's basically its own original story but uses vaguely similar characters with similar names. The dynamics between all the characters are so amazing and I love when the community explores these dynamics in ways the original show understandably couldn't because of limited runtime. I love Uzi's relationship with N, I love N's past with V, I love J's loyalty to Tessa and her jealousy towards N, I love how Thad's the only worker within the colony to tolerate Uzi, I love Lizzy's demeanor and her bond with V, I love how similar Doll and Uzi are and how Doll represents Uzi's fate if she hadn't stuck with her friends and accepted help, I love how Khan suffers from the loss of his wife and tries to better himself after he realizes the damage to Uzi has been done after his neglect. I love whatever the fuck is going on with Cyn. Of course nothing is perfect, this show is far from it. But despite its clear flaws, I love it TO DEATH! Long after this show ends I'm gonna look back on all the fun stories this community has made based off the original story of these doomed angsty robots who murder each other and smile (but also possibly cringe like I always do). Even though this fandom is kind of insane and a lot of the people apart of it make me rethink being in the fandom, those amazing writers, artists, animators, and musicians who create wonderful fan projects that bring people together always fills me with so much pride that this fandom was able to create these masterpieces despite itself. I've enjoyed this journey since episode 3 and im grateful. I'm sure episode 8 will amazingly conclude the story and that we all enjoy it!! And even if it doesn't, be respectful to the people who put so much work and effort into it and just read fanfiction.

So I just finished episode 100 of tma and it was very awkward (which was the intention of it), and i just adore it, cause thruth be told i got annoyed at how perfect in person statments were, but it all makes sense now the archivists have an effect on you that makes you give a good statment, remember everything keep it nice and precice, no stamerring or pauses or rants. Listening to it before i just thought it was for the benefit of the podcast but no, its in the story, its a plot point, its a watsonian explanation to a doylist problem, which is just wonderful. A ways out from the crater, the Bells Hells come upon a structure in the storm — the wood and stone wreckage of a skyship that carried a cathedral on it. It's mangled and burned; the brumestone has been scavenged. It looks recent, and the outer hull is covered in mounts for heavy armor, harpoons, and cannons, but it was brought down by battle on the deck, not by massive damage to the outer hull. The iconography indicates that it was from Vasselheim, possibly a Judicator ship.

The spellcaster has a +6 spell attack, but also cast hold person at 5th level and did 15 damage on a fire bolt, so they're most likely 9th level with a +2 spellcasting ability modifier.

Ashton rage build update: 2 on the d4 is the space build (portals!). they took the Crusher feat for their 8th level ASI. also, when the space build is active, they can use portals (either as a bonus action or as a result of hitting a creature or as a result of bringing a creature to 0 hp) to teleport to any space they can see within 30 or 60 feet of them.

As a reminder, shock flare is a reskin of arms of hadar, but it pushes creatures away instead of preventing them from taking reactions and deals lightning damage instead of necrotic.

Caleb and Beau saw the other skyship go down. It was from Vasselheim. The Vanguard struck the skyship from the sky at Ludinus' request, though Caleb hasn't seen any sign of Ludinus being in the crater for many days. But the perpetual dispel pulse was intentionally installed.

Caleb, Beau, and Ryn were all on the Shadowfell team — they were able to damage the key, but unable to completely destroy it.

Caleb refers to Ludinus as the most powerful of the assembly, "the one who could topple it all" if he goes down. He and Beau came here alone;

The entire site is illusion-proofed, there's a dispel wave every minute. There are also mage-hunter golems here, which we've only ever heard of existing inside the Heirloom Sphere. I am forcibly reminded of the fact that Ludinus Da'leth is aware of the Happy Fun Ball.

It's one of the oldest and most fundamental forces within Exandria and beyond. It can alter time, space, probability, entropy — it is dangerous in the wrong hands, and unfortunately, a very strong source of it has been in the hands of Ludinus and the Assembly for some time." The 'very strong source' is presumably the beacon, which Ludinus has had since 835 PD.

The Cobalt Soul has been trying to nail down Ludinus for a long time, but "he's always one step ahead."

Caleb specifically refers to dunamis as chaotic, referencing Ashton.

Ludinus has apparently been doing this outside of the Assembly. Caleb's contact in the Assembly (Astrid, presumably) notes that even the rest of the Assembly is afraid to get involved in Ludinus' plans.

Halas, Trent, and "Bendathar" are in Beau's list of archmages they've fucked up.

There are dozens of mirrors and hook-like spires facing toward the key itself. Everything is reinforced with a massive amount of residuum — the device, the walls of the excavation site, and everything beyond. "An all-out assault would be far too dangerous." Caleb gives a sending stone to Chetney, who gives it to Laudna, under the assumption that the groups are going to split up to cover more ground.

given the fact that the solstice didn't actually happen this episode and that the Mighty Nein and the Crown Keepers are now attached to this, I feel like my "PFS2 special scenario" theory has some more merit

Missing residuum shipments: the malleus key and its surroundings are reinforced with residuum. that's a massive amount; it's possible that Trent's supply of residuum, the stuff the Nameless Ones stole, and the stuff the Paragon's Call were trafficking were probably all going here.

The Cobalt Soul and the Cerberus Assembly: It takes a long, long time to dismantle political systems. The Cobalt Soul has apparently imprisoned more Assembly members than just Trent.

Out-of-the-blue rolls: Those random rolls Matt had Marisha and Liam make were indeed rolls for the Shadowfell expedition that Beau, Caleb, and Ryn were involved with. They rolled shitty, so the Shadowfell key wasn't entirely destroyed, but was damaged.

Their friendship <3 truly a great show.

Some coincidences, some bad timing, put in just to create more drama (which makes sense but... sometimes, it's truly hardly believable, bc what did they do to deserve that much bad luck), it was a little bit annoying at time, especially when everything was going fine again, just for everything to return to shit a second later.

However, it's really easy to see through this, because the message behind the show is so heartwarming. The character's growth, the friendships, how themes are treated... it's well done. I appreciated all the aspects of the show even more after this rewatch.

I would add : that show has a happy ending, for all of its three characters ! It is also really hopeful.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I URGE YOU TO TALK ABOUT THE SEASON 6 CHARACTER DESIGNS. Mostly cus i wanna hear the salt, but also because as someone who's designed many outfits for these characters over the course of multiple years, you more than anyone have your place to talk

Honestly the episode was just *okay*, so the designs are really the only place I'm particularly heated (I mean I still have my complaints on the episode, but nothing as anger inducing as Season 5):

So I'll start with the heroes:

I'm not mad about cutting off Bunnix because nothing's different.

Viperion - I like what they did with the mask and the deeper color contrast is delicious, but the suit feels like such a downgrade from the old design.

Carapace - I guess this is the Season of the Mask Facial Hair? Viperion is encroaching on this, but Carapace's little chin bit looks like a Soul Patch. Otherwise, it's a good design and I like the additions!

Vesperia - At least it looks like they fixed the weird root issue she had with her bangs from the old model. From what I can see here, I don't dislike this, like, full inversion making the top yellow and the pants black. Dunno what the ring around her thumb is though, and why does she hold her weapon like that??

Rena Rouge - it feels like they made changes to her because they thought they had to? I'm not mad at the differences, just...they sure are there. My only complaint about her is that they colored her tail as if she has two tails but she only has one? Like...just give her two coattails.

At least they ditched the corset U_U

Rooster Bold - The pose makes it hard to see, but he looks pretty cool to me! LOVE the new mask and his bitchy heels. Didn't like the mohawk then, still don't like it now.

Ryuko - this^ picture doesn't show her off, so here's her from the episode:

The suit is still nothing amazing, but I like the scale texture and shoulders, I LOVE the bigger horns, and her hair is fire~!

Miss Hound - yikes on this picture, thank god she cameo'd in the episode:

She's cute! ...Honestly anything was an upgrade, she was just wearing a recolored version of her outfit in Season 4-5, so the fact this is it's own thing is instantly better.

King Monkey - yikes the lighting on this is scary. Anyway, I can't really glean anything from this and the only thing that stands out is the horns on the circlet. I'll pend judgement for now.

Pegasus - Similarly to KM, there's not much I can note here? He's got longer hair so that's...something, but I like that now the visor is a full visor and not a floating pair of glasses. And we'll have to see it in an episode because here I like the contrast between the browns, but the old suit also had that contrast in promo material and then lost it in the episode.

Caprikid - Loooove the fur on the pants for some reason, and I die for the boots little hooves~ Bold choice to go bigger on the horns when there was some controversy about them, but hey. At least they fixed the problem with his white mask.

Minotaurox - aww what a cute widdle hammer. It really looks stunted, a lot of the weapons here look skinnier and weaker actually. I don't think I like the yellow on the horns, but I like that we can actually SEE the details on his suit now. And I like the hoodie/hair.

Argos - yep. That's Argos.

Purple Tigress - Okay, she looks dope AF! No notes, she looks awesome.

Pigella - And on the other hand...yikes. There so much going on here, and in fairness I can't fully understand what I'm looking at. This is not what I meant when I kept adding pig ears to my Pigella design!

Polymouse - Okay, no lie, I DID like her in this still image, but uhhh she's in the episode and um...

Girl no. What's with these LED strips?! WHY is your HAIR going THROUGH you hoodie?! And I know in comparison to the other characters she's still "plus sized" but this still feels...bad.

I won't talk about Ladybug and Chat Noir, they're good. Not exciting not bad just good.

Sooooo the humans.... Mostly I'm bothered by how some are so drastically changed and some are just...not. At all.

Alya - her new Mom lewk. Idk, I just feel like they could've gone harder. She looks fine, I actually like her hair when I watch the animation in motion, it's just...she looks 25 now.

Alix - uh, yep that's Alix. Wait, did her pony tail switch sides...?

Zoe - She's found her 2000s emo girl aesthetic and is clinging to those crusty shoes. I don't like it, her dumb tshirt was really my biggest problem with her old design so of course that's the part hey keep. She just looks...disjointed. I'll hold on judgment of her hair for now.

Kagami - love the hair, hate the crop jacket. It makes her skirt look reeeeeally short.

Sabrina - AH! NO! BAD! WRONG! Hate the hair, hate the pants, I don't even think I like her new glasses. This is a chop, a CHOP!

Juleka - I don't...hate the hair. I just weep for what we lost. I DO hate her new boring-er blouse which is just a weak imitation of her old top. Her hair is so wild so why did her clothes get more boring?

Rose - Season 6 Rose can't hurt you, Season 6 Rose can't hurt you, Season 6 Rose can't hurt you-!!

Mylene - I like her new outfit, it feels like the natural next step for her! I can't get a good look at her new hair though, so I'll reserve judgement.

Nino - Damn, finally a full glow up. Nino looks good! This is probably how I would have designed him the first time around, so, yay!

Felix - you fucking loser, you didn't change here either?! Are SentiBoys just stunted?!

Kim - His big change is...getting sleeves. And his roots are more visible? I guess??

Max - Why this nerd got a smolder all of a sudden? I think he'd look good if they just finally ditched the suspenders, or had them hanging down and not in use.

Nathaniel - Have...have I drawn him in this? I feel like there's a Scarlet Lady version of this. I guess that tells you I like it, right?

Ivan - Hell yeeeeees! GLOW UP! He's like "oh, I gotta wear this nose ring all the time? Better make it ALL WORK TOGETHER!!" I didn't know he had it in him, good job!

Luka - uhhh, is he wearing a different jacket, or is that his old jacket in the new animation style? At least he stopped advertising his own father on his chest. His shirt being tucked in...it disturbs me...

Marc - ...I can't tell if he even got a hair cut because it might just be the new style.

So yeah, I have quibbles but they're overall okay.
