Some Batfam Headcanons because the brain never stops;

Jason hates being called "Bruce's Son". But he hates it more when hes called "One of Wayne's Orphans/Wayne's child" because fuck you I'm his son-! wait no--

With the exception of Damian, they rarely refer to Bruce as "Dad/Father". Either it didn't occur to them/didn't see the need to/thought it would be strange. But when Dick/Jason/Tim/Cass are tired or injured it might slip out. And Bruce might just crumble a bit at it

Doesn't mean they don't say it to their siblings when Bruce is out of Earshot.

"Dad said you couldn't." "What do you mean Dad said I couldn't use that mug? It's my mug!" "You snooze you lose Timmy Boy-" "Jason don't be an asshole-"

That being said Bruce says "son/daughter/child" at every available opportunity he can after he knows that they have acclimated enough that they wouldn't be uncomfortable/know they can tell Bruce that they don't want to be called that.

First time Bruce called Dick "son" in a way that meant "You are my kid" and not in a "This police officer just called me son with a brow furrow" way Dick grinned and carried on with the conversation. Later he wondered if his dad wouldn't like someone else calling him Son; but Dick thinks about the life he was given because of Bruce and thinks maybe his dad wouldn't mind.

Calling Jason "son" is a hit or miss situation, even before he died. The first time it happened he was confused, he didnt think that was the relationship they had and it made everything change for him. He got frustrated--not angry--with himself and Bruce at this sudden emotional turmoil. Wasn't he just the kid Bruce picked up in an alleyway? Wasn't he just some street rat in bright Robin clothing? (He lets himself believe that he can be Bruce's son. If for only a little while).

Tim cries after Bruce is out of earshot, it would've been a year or so after his parents died and he was adopted. He didn't think he could have been wanted like that again. Even if you think the Drake's had A+ Parenting or not, I don't think he would have gotten a lot of confirmation of being wanted otherwise.

Cass smiles, emotions carefully concealed under her expression. She's grateful she found Bruce and he doesn't mention it if she leans a bit closer in a request for closeness.

Damian doesn't expect anything less, he only appears satisfied. But also relieved that he has gotten the confirmation that yes, Bruce wants and accepts him.

it’s a haste of very enthusiastic and messy kisses, yuuji clumsily stripping himself of his own clothing, and you attempting to follow suit when he stops you, catching your wrists in his hands and telling you, “no—no, just… keep it on,” and you don’t have time to protest or process his words because he’s back to kissing you, and forcing you even further back into the mattress and shoving. the only way he could possibly express what he’s feeling right now is pure possession and it’s honestly a little striking to him—he’s never felt such a strong need to have you and claim you as his but something about you in his stupid hoodie is doing it to him and even tho he can’t get the words out he doesn’t have to, it’s awfully evident by the way he fucks you. it’s not fast but it’s hard and deep and you feel so full of him and he can barely keep his head up, forehead falling to the crook of your neck, teeth sinking into your skin for another point of contact

he’s so torn between wanting to look down at you while he’s fucking you in his hoodie and the sight being too overwhelming for him. it’s an inconsistent oscillation of him breaking into your neck and biting and lifting his head to reveal blown out pupils and a dopey little grin, pushing all the way inside you and stuttering for a moment before cupping your cheeks between his palms and just looking at you. you’re writing a bit, itching for him to move and drunk on feeling so full of him and it makes yuuji chuckle just a little, leaning down to press his forehead against yours and kiss you so deeply it has you pawing mindlessly at his shoulders, his waist, anything to get a hold of him. and one isn’t enough, he does it again, and again until you’re whining at him to move again and that pulls another laugh out of him, “sorry baby, i gotchu,” he raises his head, pushing the flyaways out of your face and kissing your forehead before resuming to fuck you within an inch of your life again

Twin boys from a separate branch of the Rosehearts, they attend an arcane academy far away from Sage's island. They're never far from each other and have a passion for poetry— but only one of them actually has magic. So one of them actually just attends for... moral support?? I guess. It's like Idia and Ortho's situation.

They often speak as a pair and act alike but have moments where they slip up, typically when when Tory gets nervous, and typically around the topic of magic. He defaults to referring to himself singularly while Dory almost exclusively refers to them as a pair.

(Instead of a pen, they use a book. Kind of like Vil in his dorm uni)

Due to their family's influence (They live with their parents AND grandparents), when they're on their own, Dory's positivity can sometimes veer on the toxic side to balance out Tory's chronic pessimistic nature.

Idk about you guys but I am an absolute sucker for stoic, strong, providing/protective, "macho-macho" male characters absolutely just breaking down when the going gets a bit too tough. Willing to shoulder any burden or battle scars if it means granting their loved ones' safety, but cracking when it gets too much, getting disheveled when things go wrong, when things are out of their control, when they've lost so much that they cannot hold it in anymore. They cannot continue being strong, at least just for now when they just need to decompress.

With that said, Arthur Morgan absolutely deserved to have a good cry. I'm upset he hasn't in the game, at least from what we have seen. Despite how strong and hardened this 36-year-old seasoned outlaw is, he is still a man - a good man at heart (at least in my canon as a High Honour truther).

There is no way he couldn’t have cried on the ship after watching his own father and mentee/lowkey-son-figure die right before his eyes. There is no way he couldn’t have cried when he failed his chance of running away with the love of his life whilst he still had the chance, and having to come to terms with the fact that the last memory she will hold of him will be him making another promise he couldn't keep + that the last piece of her he has left is her essentially writing him out of her life with no time or opportunity to explain. There is no way he couldn’t have cried when the fear of death/the fate that awaited him and his loved ones got too overwhelming for him. There is no way he couldn’t have cried when he started seeing both life and death differently after Sister Calderón's inspiring words in that train station.

He deserved to have a good cry. Arthur, a man living in the American 1890s where there was a certain expectation for men (outlaw or otherwise) to surpress any 'weak' emotion, finally admitting "I'm afraid" was one of the 'manliest' and most human moments we ever see him have, and it was so simple yet so beautiful. The man has been through so much pain as much as he has inflicted it - he deserves a hearty moment of release. To cry, to sob, to wail, whatever. He just needed that after everything.

maybe it’s bc I’m an elder daughter (of an immigrant household) but I relate to Anthony so HARD bc imagine trying to parent your siblings (how he does it with 6 siblings I don’t even know), yourself and even parent your OWN parent (he’s practically a pseudo husband for violet) and being a Viscount all whilst trying to maintain your family’s reputation in a time where even the slightest amount of gossip can bring your family down to its knees takes EVERYTHING ok

Okay okay okay, so there are fics where the bat fam slowly realizing just how much tim is hiding, but like are there any where the bat fam slowly see dick’s happy go lucky mask slowly crack over time and they just go “oh shoot he need some serious help”

I want a fic where dick reaches his breaking point and (probably Jason) is the first to see past the carefully crafted mask and take the time to help him or force dick to take care of himself. Maybe have some go ol bird snuggles.

I just want a fic where dick gets to take a break from the good big brother act and has someone take care of him! Wether it’s Jason with his physically bigger and stronger brother act or Wally as a “good friend” that may or may later form into a romantic relationship i don’t really know which one I crave more of. No I really want Jason to force cuddle Dick to sleep and dick to just sorta realize “oh, it’s safe here” when he finally gets a cuddle with his brother and his body kinda just melts into the cuddle.

Gah I’ll think of a better way to put my thoughts down later, or forget about this entirely, I have to many tabs open in my head!
