I also pray that if we follow the current cast into the future they make ruikasa roommates. Not from a shipping standpoint I don’t want them to acknowledge anything about that. I just think it would be really fucking funny. Rks are at their funniest when they’re in normal mundane situations and being freaks about it & if we lose them at school I want to see them arguing over groceries and shit. rui keeps “accidentally” leaving the vegetables in hard to find places in the fridge so tsukasa forgets about them and they go bad. It takes tsukasa 2 days to realize they’ll literally never get their security deposit back because while rui repairs stuff after he damages it he also seems to think painting over patched drywall with whatever awful neon paint he has on hand is acceptable behavior. Tsukasa wants a boring soullessly decorated interior and rui wants a maximalist nightmare whimsy fest decoration style and neither of them will budge so they just keep buying decor that’s to their taste so the decor has negative cohesion. Rui brings his jouch and tsukasa is so so mad but he can’t figure out a good excuse to get rid of it. Tsukasa keeps waking Rui up at 6 am when he does his vocal training.

Hello hello, coming over to ask about the modern au. :) Do Sky and Wild ever stress cook together? Does Warriors knit sweaters for his cats? Does Twilight bring home strays sometimes?

1. THEY DO, once they actually become friends. Wild’s funny in this au because he met and befriended Wars and Twi individually, and they didn’t realize they both knew Wild. So Wars would literally be talking about him like “yeah my friend who helps me with photoshoots and has helped me design costumes for years now” and then Twi would be like “oh yeah my buddy who comes to take pictures of the penguins at work like twice a week” and then Sky would come home from work every day crying about the guy who orders ice water “in a mug, for here please” because he cannot comprehend why in a MUG and it drives him nuts, and NONE of them realized they were talking about the same guy. and then one day Wars invited Wild over to help him with something and poor Sky opened the door to see the bane of his existence standing on the other side and he screamed in genuine fear. They’re friends now, but Sky’s eye DOES twitch every time Wild makes him put ice water in a mug

2. HE DOESN’T :( his cats in this au have fur so they don’t need the sweaters to keep em warm. Wars also doesn’t have the time to knit, he’s incredibly busy running around all day and his “destress hobby” is another physical activity so he’s really either dancing/in class, skating, hanging out with friends from class to grab lunch, dead on his apartment floor, or Twi got enough food in him and forced him to sleep long enough that he’ll play a video game or read a book aalskkddk

3. Twi is MUCH more likely to bring a stray to Time and Malon than he is the apartment. They’re basically his parents, they’ve had him since he was one and he LOVES animals and they’re well aware of this aldkdk. And he knows his roommates wouldn’t be able to handle another animal, the only reason Wars has his cats was because he’s had them since middle school and he wasn’t about to abandon them with his mother (otherwise he would not have animals because he’s so busy, but he’s lucky because the cats have become all of their cats and they’re very well cared for). So Twi takes animals to Time and Malon instead, who will help care for whatever he brings home until it can either: Go free because he brought them a Wild Animal, get adopted, or Time gets a soft spot for it and has to BEG Malon to let him keep it. And this is why they have Several dogs (who are all very spoiled because they are Time’s children. Malon will wake up in the middle of the night like ‘ah yes, me, my husband, and his four large emotional support dogs) (It’s not hard to guess where Two got his soft spot for animals from, and Malon is just mad that he and Time have the EXACT same “please let me help this little guy” face)

Twi has a habit of finding things/people who need a little extra love and bringin’ em to the ranch. Wars has been in almost every family holiday photo since their sophomore year of high school because Malon INSISTED he come over and get out of his house and just relax for a little. Sky’s in a few as well, but Wars really has been in nearly every single one for the past seven years

No but the way this makes me low-key (and high-key) mad for two reasons:

1) Roy is canonically super smart (you can literally look it up on the list of his abilities). This is character assassination. It's not even played as "haha he's my friend and I'm teasing him because that's what we do", it's a "I'm joking but you're low-key stupid" kinda thing.

2) Jason saying that trying to overthrow a dictator and protect the people is dumb because a) people are just bad in general so who cares if they're being oppressed? or b) it was stupid in this particular case because they're middle eastern???? So either Jason doesn't think people deserve liberation or he's just racist. One option contradicts his goal to protect people and the other is just nasty. (Btw, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be interpreted as cynical not racist but again, he would not say that).

I also just hate the idea of Roy Harper, the guy that has also led the Titans and managed to be a successful vigilante throughout so much trauma and bullshit being just Jason's sidekick. Jason recruiting him to a team? Sure, makes sense, he's a great asset. Roy being a glorified lackey and thinking Jason is soooo coool? No sir. Like I said, he outranks Jason so severely it's not even funny.

Again, I love the concept of these two being friends and teasing each other. Like yeah, Jason would make fun of Roy for getting himself in trouble but not for being dumb. Quite the opposite, the joke is getting yourself in jail when you've escaped worse. And I don't think Roy would think Jason is particularly more crazy than him, if anything they match each other's freak.

Idk, if you can't make Jason the leader without putting Roy down maybe he shouldn't be??? I think it's really fun to have extremely powerful and experienced heroes working under him because it creates this dynamic of "yeah buddy, sure I'll help you out with that". I don't think the leader needs to be the strongest or most experienced (or even the best at leading in the right circumstances).

It's Jason's mission, his team, and the fact that everyone in it is stronger/smarter/more experienced than him is just a hilarious plus. Hell you could make it a point to say "see? Jason is really cool and wise because he chooses the best people for the job and not just people that make him feel superior".

Idk, I get that whenever someone is being the Main Character™ he gets to be the coolest and the supporting cast is slightly nerfed in comparison to their own runs, that's how comics work. But damm they did my boy (both of them really) dirty with this particular interpretation.

It bothers me when folks insist that there are literally no good reasons to surrender pets because it destroys their hearts. Like…. My dude…. That evil fuckin cat that slashed my literal eyeball should be surrendered. I found new homes for my three cats because I couldn’t take having multiple panic attacks triggered every single fucking day because they’ve got claws and I’ve got a new dose of fresh PTSD caused by that demon slashing my eye. I still can’t sleep well because of the nightmares about it. The pain and the blood and the temp blindness in that eye and the extreme fear. It’s been months. My life was fucking destroyed and my love of cats ripped from my soul. But I’m the villain? No. Needs drastically change sometimes and it sucks for everyone involved. It wasn’t good for me having cats around. It wasn’t good for my cats to have their only human destabilized and constantly rejecting their affection. They’ve got a new home where all three miraculously got to stay together and are dearly loved again as they deserve to be.
