Since Daenarya doesn't have long hair like Rapunzel, she uses her magic to use vines to keep Mal ensnared. Also, during book one, I HC that Daenarya collected Mal's wanted posters and drew hearts and/or flower crowns on them [fic here] so Lou included these details as well and it just makes this art even more beautiful!!! I can't stop staring at them!!! That's her thief and everyone will know it hehe 🫶

Been tryna learn how to draw my ocs so I can finally get them out of me fuckin head

His name is Alex. He’s lived in my head since middle school. He is not a good man.

Another artwork in the more painterly style! It's been a while since I have drawn like this, but I find that drawing like this really helps me build up and 'sculpt' a face, which is incredibly useful when developing characters. It seems I can't stop drawing this particular guy, but I found his face kind of hard to figure out. I really wanted there to be emphasis on this kind of protruding mouth area and have him have these piercing eyes . I am not sure if I managed but I do think I am finally getting some consistency in the facial features :)

I really like the colours of this piece, I am not sure whether they do the character justice and correctly lead the eye but oh well. It does fit him to kind of disappear into the surroundings. I also have a progress picture with the different colour background where the figure is more clear, let me know if you want to see!! Maybe i'll post it.

having ocs is weird

some of them are just like ideas and concepts while others are like people living inside your head demanding a nice room and snacks and attention and occasionally they poke you in the feelings when you’re least expecting it

some of them you spend forever coaxing out from a dark corner of your mind with some candy and some of them are always up in your shit
