Putting this to you cause I feel you probably have one of the larger audiences on Sunnyblr. I wonder if anyone out there could share the Abbot/Sunny crossover ep when it airs in January for those who can't access it?

In the past I've streamed Sunny episodes to a few people and @dennisboobs has captured them to upload for people to watch, so perhaps we could/will do something similar for the crossover? Either way it will be up on Hulu a few hours after airing, and therefore up on like any "second hand" streaming service within a day.

I'll definitely share/circulate a link to the episode as soon as one exists!

I have this wild theory as to where the Enmrich romance is going that makes me especially excited for his romance since it's something they've been teasing us with for three games.

So based on everything we know about Emmrich and his route based on the dev's own words + what's been written about him in the short stories, I think he's going to be a being like DAOA Justice, Cole, and Audric from the short story he's in, which is to say a fade spirit possessing the body of the former Emmrich Volkarin. However! I think this is an outcome the former Emmrich Volkarin ultimately wanted and prepared for. In his youth, he said he found the concept of being possessed by a spirit who was so influenced by your life that it continues on as you would have (in this case, a man who wanted to be with his wife whom he loved very much) romantic. So I don't think it was an evil lich scenario, but like...Emmrich wanted to spend eternity doing his little hobbies and making friends and stuff. I say this because up until the trailer, all the concept art we've seen of the companions has lined up exactly the same except one place: Emmrich. Up until the reveal, we were under the impression that we were getting some sort of shambling fade skeleton wizard companion. And looking back at the silhouette of the fade skeleton concept art, it lines up perfectly with Emmrich's silhouette. On top of that, the writers are talking about how emotional his romance is, on top of them assuring us that our choices *can* kill our companions and we will be kissing skeletons (but not Manfred). So yeah. Emmrich is already a skeleton. The man face is for our convenience. But he's a chill dude who just wants to do his little hobbies and be in love with his partner for eternity so it's goth and sweet too and we love it. Soapbox rant over.

I see it now! I was literally reading and listening about their relationship in your podcast! i really thought that Statice and Nick DESPISE eachother. This AU is interesting, I love it vry vry much. Im not fond of it at first because I can't really Imagine Basil. Basil doing all of that stuff. because he's my favorite character(and I can't really see him being like that). But I eventually learnt to separate them and sees Nick as his own character. Like an actual oc(Still sees him a little bit as Basil if you understand what I mean)( can't wait when Sunny's other friend gets revealed or maybe the parents. *Maybe* they're not that important to the story but the CURIOSITY IS TOO STRONG AND SORRY FOR YAPPING HSJSKAK IT MUST BE TIRING TO ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS I WON'T DO THAT AGAIN)(Also excuse my grammar also, english is not my first language 😣)

Yeah Nick is... more or less an OC, he's got very little to do with Basil now. I refuse to cut of all ties to OMORI/Basil because it's very important to his origins and taking that from him would be taking out a lot of how I personally see him, but, well... He wasn't exactly based off of normal in-game Basil, either, so it makes sense that he's very different. He looks different, acts different, has a different family, age, personality, story, nationality even, different interests... He's like, 70% OC and 30% OMORI AU. Basil is also my favorite character, and that's not how I see him at all either.

I understand why you thought Statice and Nick hated each other — to be fair, there aren't a lot of people who don't hate Nick, lol. Being around him and knowing why he is the way he is makes it easier to love him, though.

dennis would be an omega and when he started presenting as a young teen barbara (and frank) took him to get spayed and he went yayyy yippee and he didn't realize the horrors of it all until much later (weird hormone shit and out of wack instincts+identity issues)

mac is an beta omega that wants to be an alpha so bad, it serves as an extension of his sexuality crisis

dee is still an alpha, but she's a women so she still gets shit for it

nobody can figure out what charlie is, and frank is either a beta or an alpha, whatever makes him the bigger asshole

i THINK the issue here is that my view of omegaverse is very not-mainstream and hinges on secondary gender as a very Literal Thing and not as an allegory for anything. hence why i believe the gang would all be alpha’s, because BEHAVIORALLY i do think they’re all hugely independent people who hate feeling dependent upon others.

that being said i LOVE the way ur thinking about this plus you are absolutely spitting with omega!dennis. i rescind my earlier statements he ABSOLUTELY was spayed and its definitely causing him hormonal dysregulation.

so going along with ur omega mac thing. imagine if like… part of why dennis is so pushy and against mac in the post-coming out seasons. is not JUST because it forces him to confront a part of himself he doesnt really like (omega + sexuality) but ALSO because mac stops masking his pheromones. and now he’s living with pheromones from a guy he’s attracted to and he is LITERALLY biologically having a reaction to the environmental change!!! this has given me a LOT to ruminate on thank you very much for the ask anon. would love to talk to you about this more please dm me if you’d like to talk more
