one of my all time fave jokes ive made (lie i love all of them) was when i joined a mc server that was a couple days in w some secondary school friends and then after about half an hour told someone to just give me something i wanted, they said no, i said "cmonn its the tithe you gotta pay the tithe". then until i got bored and stopped playing i would reference some freshly formed nebulous religion i was the head of, where the only clear tenet was You have to pay the tithe, a few people actually tried to willingly pay the tithe but when they asked where to put it i dodged the question so as to not take their items. my base was next to this giant church structure from a mod that i deemed heretical so i quarried the stone from the base to build Tithe Tower, a much smaller base for myself right next to it on a hill, which was both a joke about how certain religions are built on the foundations of things they claim to stand against and how pale those imitations can be and also functional because i didnt want to go gather blocks far away. anyway i never finished tithe tower and was playing singleplayer games within 3 days but The Tithe is forever

beidou stops the conversation she's having with juza to snap at kazuha, who freezes in place, his fingers hovering just above his phone screen. he's like a deer in headlights as he turns to face beidou. "answer what?" he feigns innocence.

"don't play cute with me." beidou leans over and plucks kazuha's phone out of his hands, dangling the device between her fingers. ignoring his demand to return it, she scoffs. "you were going to answer them, weren't you? be honest."

kazuha caves in immediately. he's had this back and forth with beidou far too many times now. she's right; he shouldn't respond to you, but like a moth to a flame, he's drawn to you -- he's addicted to you, despite the threat you pose to his well-being.

he masks a grimace with a wry smile. "it'd be rude of me to ignore it."

beidou doesn't like his answer. she grips his phone tightly and crosses her arms, hiding it from view. kazuha follows the gesture closely, hoping to see if he got another message from you. "bullshit! look at you!" she snaps her fingers, forcing kazuha's eyes back on her face. "do we really have to have this conversation again?"

"we don't," kazuha answers smoothly, "but i imagine you're going to try anyways."

"they're not good for you, kazuha." beidou frowns deeply, her features marred with concern and a touch of vitriol. "you shouldn't keep seeing them when it makes you so..." she pushes her fingers through her hair as she struggles to find the right words. when she can't find them, she huffs. "you have to break this off. please, kazuha; it's for your own good."

and for a split second, kazuha suppresses the urge to laugh. rather than feel like a scolded child, he feels like the newest admit to a rehabilitation center. beidou speaks of you like you are poisonous. like you're some lethal intoxicant and kazuha is the pathetic whelp who keeps running back for more. you're the smoke in his lungs, but the high that keeps him wired.

and he loves that about you.

he loves you. he's in love with you. kaedehara kazuha is love with you, you, and only you.

"christ, are you even listening to me?" beidou snaps in front of his face.

kazuha blinks once, then twice. a dazed buffoon. "yes." he lies. "i understand."

luckily for him, that was the right thing to say. beidou clearly doesn't believe him, but she presses his phone back into his hand anyways. his finger twitch with the urge to reply to you instantly, but he waits until beidou's out of earshot to start typing. your name lights up his screen, and he bites back a smile.

it's you, he thinks as he heads to your usual meet-up spot. it's always been you, and it's always going to be you.

it wasn't always like this, however. it'd be too cliché for him to say that he doesn't know how this happened -- how this started. no; kazuha remembers everything. he couldn't forget it even if he tried.

you two were best friends. are best friends, he quickly reminds himself. this new... arrangement of yours wasn't planned; neither of you gave it much thought in the past, but when it happened, neither of you rejected the idea.

it started out innocent, as most things often do. you were sitting on his lap like always as you watched a movie, your arm slung loosely around his neck. both of you had your eyes fixed on the screen, but you weren't really watching it. it was mostly just background noise to the thoughts in your head.

then, you adjusted yourself so that you were straddling him. "if i were to kiss you right now, what would you say?"

kazuha considered himself lucky to have caught the undignified noise before it left his mouth. he blinked owlishly up at you. "where is this coming from, exactly?"

you looked... pensive. conflicted, maybe. looking back on it now, kazuha isn't actually sure what expression you wore. he couldn't figure it out. "i dunno. people keep asking me if we're a thing."

"and what does that have to do with kissing me?"

"what, have you never considered kissing your best friend before?"

it was a joke on your part, but kazuha's answer wasn't. "of course i have." his next words died on his tongue when you raised an eyebrow, mirth dancing in your eyes.

"oh?" you sounded all too entertained by his confession. "the kazuha fanclub on campus wouldn't be too happy to hear that one."

"the what?"

"but you know what i have that they don't?"

kazuha eyed you carefully. "what?"

your eyes jumped then. that was what tipped the scales. if you hadn't, kazuha wonders where you two would be today. he didn't miss the way your eyes dropped to his lips and he couldn't stop himself from doing the same. the both of you tried to hide it by looking at each other, but the deed had ready been done. seconds went by before he found his voice. "what do you have that others don't?" he asked quietly.

something flickered across your face in that moment. again, kazuha can't quite recall what it was. apprehension, maybe. but it was gone as quickly as it came. "i have you." you replied smoothly. you spoke softly, reverently, like you were speaking to a lover.

a beat. then two.

"if i were to kiss you right now, kazuha," you repeated your earlier question, your eyes scanning his face, "what would you do?"

kazuha wishes he knew what look he gave you, because your lashes fluttered and your eyes became hooded in a way he'd never thought he'd ever be able to see before. his answer, like every other answer he's ever given you, came from the most honest part of his body. "kiss back, i believe." he tried to make light of the situation, forcing a slight smile. "that's common courtesy, isn't it?"

you hummed, the sound noncommittal. "can i kiss you, then?"

when kazuha agreed, he hoped he didn't appear too eager. because truthfully, you never needed to ask. he would let you do anything to him. anything you pleased.

after that day, nothing really changed, and kazuha supposes that that's where things went wrong. by day, you two were best friends, but by night, you were the most intimate of lovers.

kazuha has every part of you memorized. he knows your every like, your every dislike; he knows that you hate scary movies but love the thrill; that you abhor mushrooms but will only eat them if he makes them; that you love sitting beneath the oak tree on campus while you study but hate the bugs that will try to accompany you.

but he also knows what makes you tick. he knows what makes you whimper, what makes you sigh. only he knows of that special spot on your neck that makes your knees turn to jelly; only he knows that you love when he splays his hand across your stomach to keep you still; only he knows how hard to tug at your hair, how to make you cry. it's only him.

you may as well be tattooed on the back of his hand.

when you finally arrive at your usual spot, kazuha chuckles at your out of breath state. "you're ten minutes and," he glances at his watch, "thirty-two seconds late."

you punch his arm. "do you want to eat or not? asshole. and here i am trying to be a good friend."

kazuha's used to the sting by now. "yes, yes, you're the best. lead the way."

when you arrive at the restaurant, kazuha suddenly finds himself replaying beidou's words in his head. she's lectured him many times, but one time in particular has him zoning out.

"have they ever once told you that they loved you?"

kazuha barely peeked his head out from under the mountain of blankets beidou forced him under. he'd been so miserable after realizing that you were bent on keeping up the title of "friend". you were slippery when you wanted to be; you ghosted him for about a week without explanation, and like the lovestruck idiot he is, kazuha accepted it. beidou, on the other hand, did not.

kazuha tried to act like the secrecy wasn't affecting him, but beidou refused to let him bottle it all up. so she let herself into his apartment, tossed every blanket he had on top of him, and forced him to allow himself to be hurt.

he stayed quiet as he thought her question over. "platonically, yes." he would have shrugged, but the weight of the blankets made it impossible. "if that's the best i can get, then..."

"and there it is, that's your problem." beidou rested her palms on his bed. "you're settling. stop settling, kazuha. you're better than that. you deserve better than that."

there was more to what she said, he knows that. but he can't stop thinking about why he's remembering that now, of all times. as you two chat and wait for your food, kazuha finds himself getting more and more distant from the conversation.

because beidou was right, he does deserve better. he wants better, but he wants it from you. he wants you in your entirety. wholly and truly, kazuha wants you. but..

"...kazuha?" your voice suddenly cuts through his thoughts. when he refocuses, he can see your pretty eyes examining him closely. you're worried about him. his heart tugs. "are you okay? you've been spacey."

yes nearly jumps out of his mouth. yes, he wants to say. yes, he's okay. yes, he's fine with this. yes, he's okay with being so close, yet so far. yes, he's in love with you. yes, he's been in love with you for three years, yes, he's in pain. yes, he feels like he's dying, like this pain is going to tear him apart from the inside, no, he's not okay, no, he'll never be okay until you understand that, no, he doesn't want to let you slip away, no, he doesn't want to let you go, no, he doesn't want someone else, no, he can't do this anymore--

"i like you."

the words shock you, but it shocks kazuha far more, because he can't stop them. it's out of character for him, but he doesn't care.

"kazuha, what are you--?"

"i love you, actually. i should probably be more honest with you." his breath catches when he sees your eyebrows twitch into what resembles a frown. but he can't stop. "and if i'm still being honest, i don't know what to do anymore."

"about what? kazuha, you--"

"i can't keep seeing you like this. like friends, like... half-lovers. it's too much for me." kazuha smiles, but it's the fakest one you've ever seen. "so i'm going to take a break." he places some money on the table under his plate, stands and takes his leave, ignoring your calls of his name. there's so much more he wants to say -- so much more to be said -- but for now, this is enough. you know the truth, and he feels lighter.

agonized, but lighter.

and for the first time in three years, kazuha ignores your texts.

felix x mc x rime being three chaotic mages

random headcanons | these have been on my mind forever and ever. this is for felix and rime enjoyers who wish they could nerd out about magic and other things more because magic is so cool,, some of these are self-indulgent and also i'll be leaning a little into felix and rime's generally more questionable hobbies if ykyk (cw brief mention of dissection, i'll point it out again below) (gender-neutral MC)

felix and mc and rime are the only ones actively practicing magic in the gang: mage solidarity

we as a society cannot forget how felix and rime were Top Students who literally ended up dating because they spent so much time at the library studying together, what a dream relationship story i love libraries

felix and mc often get carried away very late into the night because they get so engrossed in discussions about magic and new spells they could experiment with, so rime has to drag them into bed before they completely ruin their sleep schedules

unLESS felix or mc bring up a point of contention that intrigues rime—well, then rime gets fired up and joins their very heated discussion until they either reach a unanimously agreed-upon resolution or pass out on top of one another from exhaustion

sometimes, felix and mc walk into the kitchen for breakfast, their eyes meet, and this happens:

and so on so forth about whatever magical concept they're currently studying together while rime silently watches over his cup of latte

whenever there's some magical mystery the gang encounters that needs to be solved, felix gets called on first (i think felix has read the most books compared to both rime and mc considering the timeline and just felix being felix, therefore giving him the broadest scope of knowledge) but if it gets tricky rime and mc join in on the brainstorming and the three of them huddle together in hushed tones and very serious mutters while sage and anisa are just like 🧍‍♂️🧍‍♀️

okay these headcanons are about to get Real Specific so there's a lot of 'if your mc _____' because i want to write these headcanons but also don't want to make any assumptions about your mc

(the mention of dissection is for this point and the next 2) if your mc is not squeamish about felix's taxidermy you probably won't be squeamish about this i hope: the gang fight an unidentifiable dangerous creature and once they defeat it the three mages investigate but they can't figure out its nature and origins so anisa and sage are like okay what do we do then?

cmon cmonn taxidermist felix, knife-loving rime and mc who has been influenced by them both? they look at one another with this unnerving glint in their eyes and say, "well, we dissect it of course."

i just love the idea of felix and mc and rime sharing the same brain cell in various contexts,, anyways

if your mc is kind of clumsy, maybe even the type to run into every table and doorframe they walk past: rime is always ready to heal every little scrape and bruise but he will absolutely be insufferable about it. "i wouldn't have to keep doing this if you were just a little more careful, sweetheart." he acts all exasperated but his touch is so unbearably gentle it makes mc shiver

if your mc picks up felix's habit of using spells for the most trivial things: with both of them throwing magic around, sometimes there's a magical mishap or two but it keeps the place lively (anisa scolds them once or twice but felix and mc just look at each other and suppress the urge to grin)

upon hearing that felix was not much of a healer, mc in canon expressed their interest in learning healing. if your mc is into studying beyond felix and rime's areas of expertise: they're always ready to hear mc rant excitedly about every new subject they study and are happy to help with whatever mc needs to further their research. whenever mc learns a new spell or technique they've never heard of they are always sincerely in awe.

i love when techno talks abt his vids. like u can tell he puts a lot of thought into the vids (esp these ones) and like at 01:47:00 he talks abt the “I DIDNT PUT DEAPTH STRIDER ON THOSE BOOTS, FUNDY!” and how its just that creepin realization that you were doomed from the start and how he made the armor, he isnt intimidated by the netherite bc he didnt enchant it all the way and only he knows that,,, and i just,,,hgg he

Series 2 Episode 11: Fear Her

HI I'M LATE I FORGOT it's time for some late night who watching, and at this dark hour we'll be looking over Fear Her. Fun fact: This is the Doctor Who story with the most uses of the word "gay". (used in the song Chloe Webber sings). Surely that means this episode can't be that bad :3

The first thing we'll tackle will be The Doctor & Rose in this episode. I don't know what they did to the script, but 10, unlike in any other episode in this series, acts exactly the opposite of how I would expect him to act. Someone's child goes missing and he plays it for a joke, he treats the side characters in this episode like a joke, and worst of all, this episode makes it canon that 10 IS NOT A CAT PERSON. I cannot believe it smh.

This episode's villain is really interesting though. If someone came up to me and told me there was a Doctor Who episode where child's drawings come to life and one of those drawings is an deceased abusive parents holy SHIT that would sound amazing. But it's just botched by a poor child actress and an ending that doesn't make much sense. Why chuck the seed thing specifically at the olympic torch when it needs heat, when you're in a HOUSE with prolly a boiler and ovens and microwaves. cmonn.

TL:DR/Overview: It's just hard to find anything good to talk about in this episode sadly. With an unlikable script given to 10, a plot that hinges entirely on an immensely nuanced performance from a child actor (it didn't go well), and an ending that just doesn't make much sense, I can't say I like this episode at all. The only redeeming factor in this episode is the funny council guy, and sadly that's not enough to stop this episode from becoming our third D tier of the series. (would've been E if not for me reworking the tiers)

SELF REFLECTION TIME!! I am so happy idk, maybe I don’t have to wake up questioning no more, I'll join the rest this year who left the world in a while. I hope I can meet those stars ~_~

PTSD works like cancer, it may kill someone eventually, but I guess what sucks certain aspects is ends up being a big void you cannot re-enter while certain people involved cannot be removed. I feel bad for involving mainly py and xh and end up it looks like a cancer/ptsd individual is gone just like that. I hope it don’t seem like that. If I don’t tell them they wont know LOL good enough

Good 24years, manage to make some awards, and enjoyed exploring countries I liked twice, at least had a girlfriend which was enjoyable. Though I still felt we could have just fought through the differences cause unless it’s a perfect world, everybody has differences, just see what you wanna work within the end. Well I observed much friends to know haha, but oh well at least being independent as I am, I don’t regret knowing her and I won’t doing it over BUT with maybe more experience, I guess. Like I wish I could rant at her like cmonn this is our first time in a relationship, it probably not gonna be all so well its fact, there’s not much perfect relationship so why give up so fast. Make sure my soul remembers next life! I really wish I could give her a good hug though. I think this life is quite good, I had my journey had a peak had my struggles, I overcame those struggles, even became better. I strived to hit that 10k accumulated income early. Which I think all went away into Overseas trip HAHA. However, this is one struggle is just something I cannot work by myself in the end and I'm fine. Given time, I'll go really mentally insane, given people keep telling me think otherwise. I cannot help but say over and over if I had a gun when I heard enough, I'll shoot them.

Honestly I can say to myself here, looking back what was wrong, IDK lol wtf IDK. If I knew it stems from PTSD things would’ve been a lot different. Now I know, its more scary cause asking PY for a presence and why I can’t remove her out of the equation actually is scary. Asking for PY or contemplating death suddenly is so clear. Like PTSD you suffer in trauma or you seek something of comfort and it just sucks that everything to me I could not value, but I saw PY as some comfort. Of course, I am in such a fucking mess, it’s the first time I could value death so quickly and it wasn’t impulse like PY told me. I also told XH death would require about a close to A LOT of decision pointers before I firmly decide it and not stubbornly because those decisions are logical and reasoned. I mean a part of me want to respect a breakup but yet…. Lol. How the fuck you do that when you don’t realize then that they are like bind to you cause of PTSD when I’ve yet to realize. But really either way, maybe it would have be different if I identified earlier and explained to her but yeah how things end up.

I realized why it was very hard to stay at home or school or even places me and PY frequent I realized cause I then wanted her comfort and presence immediately. I mean its worst that our connection was intimacy. Even at places without I think at the end of the day wow, its just so so so so draining. I waver to death. And it scares me more that I waver back and demanded her even more. I think eventually I was the one who got immune to death and not PY LOL I got so sacred of my own death initially that I just kind of gave up and look at it happy. A part of me was sooo happy that I stop cause its really mentally tormenting. Her mum asked me always to stop torturing them, but I don’t know really. I kept saying its not my intention. At that point of time I was and still very selfish and toxic

I am so glad I manage to talk to her and clear up some stuff, at least it was some bad blood slightly removed. I am thankful I want to make a conscious death than going on without her then expecting time or manging it would help. I’m barely going mentally sane trying to consider how to solve PTSD without her or just choosing the better way. I think what ticked off my last few decision points was, “Hasn’t she suffered enough”, “Don’t you think she deserves better”, “I think its a lot better if I am dead” I am not saying PY was the medicine I need but I guess in the lack of anything else she was laa which I dunno why isit she unlucky or what, I feel bad. Give me $1million I wish I felt better and feel better lol. Fucking sad I can’t. I want to ask the spirits is it someone binds me to her as a punishment, like, dafuk why?

Tbh right even if I did manage to get PY to become some form of support I won’t last long, I think that's when I realize no point hanging on to her, and she don't owe it to me either way. I know death is knocking and I made her suffer so much. Even if god did suddenly pity me and allow this to happen, PTSD in my form is still a type of cancer for me. If this is not a mark for death, IDK what is LOL If you can understand it well enough.

Something interesting is I do consider the idea of spirits absorbing my energy because I've touched a little of death. Sadly, I can't value my energy or life so if they value it, I willingly give them. I don't value life or I can't value it anymore so like how I wish to donate my organs...till the next one!

I swear If I wake up later, I'm jumping.
