what makes me feel crazy about neve is that as a human mage of such wit and style and sheer talent—a less academically focused mage than emmrich or bellara and yet capable of some of the greatest feats of raw power in the game, yes i’m still not over her ice dome from the intro holding off shots from the archon’s palace—she absolutely could have gotten out of dock town. maybe she’d never have the life or titles of someone born altus, but she could have made it to somewhere comfortable. she’s the one person in dock town with a ticket out, with the unexpected gift that every tevinter non-mage dreams their children will have... and yet she’s still right there working late into the night in one lonely, run-down apartment after another, because these people need her. because nobody else of her ability has ever stayed for them. she tells herself every day that it’s probably a doomed fight, trying not to get her hopes up and her heart hurt, and she still stays!! i wonder if some people there resent her for having that chance and not taking it. she talks about having cut ties with at least part of her family. do they resent her for not taking the chance (and letting them share in the spoils)?
#i wonder if she got any kind of formal education and if so where it was and what it costed#does she talk about that?#neve gallus#veilguard spoilers#ive probably said all this before i just love her very much.

I'm so tired, I'm so so tired.
Watching TV shows has become the most tiring thing in this dystopian, late-stage capitalistic hellscape.
It doesn't matter how much we love those shows, how much we talk about them, how much we promote it online. Big streaming services will just cancel them on a Friday night and then let them slowly fall into oblivion. If by SOME MIRACLE the show doesn't get cancelled after the first season, it'll just decline over the years, some crazy writer will cook up a poorly written plot, or they'll just lose interest in the project and then leave the fans in the trenches.
Big corporate streaming services just think that views are gonna materialize out of thin air??? They barely promote their new shows and they DEMAND high views just to let them keep going? It's THEIR JOB to promote shows, but obviously they couldn't care less, they only care about money, and they leave the promoting job to the fans which is batshit insane if you ask me.
Streaming services were supposed to be the solution, the chosen one if you will, but they turned out to be the villains.
Owning a movie or a show is now absolutely impossible because God forbid they release DVDs anymore. Streaming services will just randomly DELETE their cancelled shows and movies from their platforms. Fans are now supposed to be PR teams for Netflix, HBO, Prime and whatever other stupid streaming apps out there because they couldn't be bothered to,,, idk,,, do their job and promote their own shows!? They're literally acting like villains.
It feels dystopic really.
I know I probably sound like a person yelling at a cloud but it's starting to become exhausting.
And I know that there are far worse things out there, that there are more important matters to focus on, but I'm so tired.
They're killing art. There are so many people out there that put all their love and all their passion and skills into creating amazing shows that SO MANY other people love and they feel represented by, but they don't care.
This is literally my last straw.
They're killing art with their greed.

Topzai or bottomzai?
As proof that you've been paying attention in class I'm gonna need a minimum one-page essay about my opinion on the subject complete with sources and examples from my blog, though having to ask at all should give you a clue about it
Here are some works for you to study for your assignment, enjoy!
#ask answered#not art#skk#suggestive#also teens (and adults alike) that are still here hear me:#positions and dynamics are different things#neither are necessary to anything and both can vary freely#penetration is only an *option* and not the be-all end-all and is *not mandatory*#don't let silly fandom discourse be your education i know they keep fighting over it but i'm here to tell you it's all bullshit it's ok#this has been a very vague PSA#the short answer is i literally *just* made fanart for a fic tagged 'switching'

can I also just - so everytime I've come across a piece of Ed art where his skin is too light, I've sent an anon ask or DM to the artist - explaining very politely why they should redo the piece and the history of racism in this fandom. And every single time (except one asshole), artists have reacted well to this and understood my point, and some have even reposted the piece after correcting their mistake.
Idk that makes me happy, to have the freedom to say that and not have to deal with butthurt artists. Most people are kind, but you have to start from a place of trying to educate and idk not start a witchhunt, if you truly genuinely want them to do better.
#you might have had very different experiences and they're absolutely valid#this is just my 2 cents#ofmd#our flag means death#meow speaks#again because this is a website of toddlers: it's not your responsibility to educate people#but if you do want to you'd go much farther if you put the pitchfork down#is all I'm saying

"go to palestine and see how they treat you" okay. i did. they treated me like normal. i'm palestinian and queer and they treated me just fine. but you know where i was treated like shit for being queer??? the u.s. of fucking a.
#i hate that argument “go to palestine and see how they treat you” because like lol. im a queer palestinian#palestinians are very queer#many of my palestinian friends and even family are queer or queer supporting#because we're educated. palestinians are extremely educated because we use knowledge as a tool of our liberation#and bc we're educated we are also accepting of queer identities#like seriously man. if you genuinely think all palestinians are homophobic then you've got some extreme racism problems#palestine#free palestine#that being said obviously there are homophobia problems in palestine#and all around the world#palestine isn't special with the homophobia#but we gotta be normal about this guys. we don't have time for queer liberation because we're too busy fighting for our basic human rights#we can work on queer liberation once palestine is freed

Ephenni man participating in a variant of the kagnoma wantouki folk dance. He has come prepared, wearing bell bracelets and belled and pheasant-feathered dancing shoes, and neglecting a tunic and cloak, allowing for the percussive slaps to his chest and stomach to be louder.
"Kagnoma wantouki" groups together a variety of closely related folk dances that occur across the Imperial Wardi cultural sphere, and beyond (the west + south rivers Hill Tribes, Cholemdinae, and Loberan North Wardi groups have also adopted and developed variants, and one western variant has spread to parts of Bur). The dance is performed differently from province to province (sometimes even from village to village) and goes by several more specific names, but it is distinguished as a collective from other folk dances by the commonalities of:
the dancers use their own bodies as a form of percussion, via clapping their hands, slapping their chests, upper arms, stomachs, thighs, and/or shins, and stomping their feet. The name of the dance itself refers to this.
the dance is otherwise dominated by rapid footwork (often emphasized with bells) and is accompanied by up-tempo music.
the dance can technically be performed strictly solo, with opportunities for partnering.
dancers provide some vocalization.
As a folk dance, it serves no direct religious function and is mostly performed by people with no formal training at social gatherings (this is a mainstay of weddings in particular, but occurs at everything from religious festivals to funerary feasts).
Drumming is the only strictly necessary form of musical accompaniment, but many variants/performances make use of tambourines and rattles. Use of a two-stringed bow instrument is common in the west and south. Chanting by the dancers and singing by a musical accompaniment and/or onlookers is a near-necessity, with a specific call and response form of song developing in tandem with this dance.
Costuming (if used at all) varies by region, but belled shoes decorated with feathers are common (for this and many other dances), and men who come prepared for the occasion usually go with a skirt and a nude upper body (baring more skin to make the slaps more percussive). It’s very common to see men fasten their cloaks around their hips and slip the upper half of the tunic off their arms and down to the belt when joining in opportunistically. Costuming for women requires less specificity and usually lacks the feathered shoes.
The dance can technically be considered unisex, but most variants show slight differentiation of choreography for men and women (in large part aligning to typical dress standards). The feminine variant involves active use of the skirt and less slapping, usually limiting it to claps of the hands, slapping the hand of a partner, and a specialized move during rapid percussive sessions in which the hem of the skirt is lifted by the non-dominant hand while the opposite leg is repeatedly kicked up and slapped on the shin in time to the music.
When dancing with a partner (which often occurs opportunistically among a group), both will face each other and attempt to move in time and punctuate the high-tempo sections with slaps of each other's hands. This dance has no particular connotations of courtship (while some other folk dances are at least Rooted in this and require man-woman dance partnerships with very strongly differentiated choreography). If anything, it's slightly more typical for people to partner up with a dancer of the same gender.
It's very common to see 'dance fights' develop between men in particular, especially when two higher-skilled dancers match up and attempt to outdo each other. This is a semi-formalized aspect of the dance, where the competitors will alternate between 'leading' for each section (punctuated by shifts in tempo and shouts) while the other attempts to match their movements as closely as possible, 'losing' the match if they can't keep up. A good quality fight in action will be deferred to by other dancers, who will circle around them and clap in time (while particularly canny accompanying musicians will improvise more complex rhythms, and singers call attention to it). These 'dance-fights' are almost always friendly in nature and often considered to be the highlight of a kagnoma wantouki, either as a showcase of the highest skilled dancers in a group or as a very, very entertaining spectacle when one or both are drunk.
#Tigran and Janeys are both notably skilled at variants of this dance.#Tigran is just kind of a natural he learned to do it as a young child and kept it up. He can move surprisingly quickly and has#very good rhythm. The variant that he learned in his home village involved snapping (which is pretty uncommon) and he can pull#that out to win at 'dance fights' because it takes a good deal of practice to snap as rapidly and on-time as he can#He's trying to teach Palo in his spare time who is very much not a good dancer.#Janeys (and his siblings) all learned dancing in general as a part of their education and he was the only one that was like. Notably good#at it (Couya is Okay and Faiza SUCKS at dancing and had to work Extremely hard to Git Gud at the required ritual + war dances#performed by Odonii)#He likes this one in particular and is pretty damn good at it but needs to get liquored up before he's willing to initiate a 'fight'#He would probably lose to Tigran though#imperial wardin

Reading Arthur's journal. The man has prettier handwriting than I do and then I came across this:
"I love Dutch like a father but in many ways, I love Hosea even more. He's kind and fair and like a human being. Dutch is something else."
Me: "And you stay with Dutch because...?"
The way Arthur writes about Hosea with more fondness than with Dutch speaks volumes. I mean there are parts in his journal where he seems to doubt Dutch in his leadership decisions. That's how his writing comes off to me at least. Sure, you can still love someone as a father but to believe in their leadership is another ball game.
For example, Arthur says "Dutch being Dutch those plans involve robbery and dreams." Dreams is underlined for a reason too.
Oh darlin' you should've left when you had the chance.
#red dead redemption 2#rdr2#arthur morgan#dutch van der linde#hosea matthews#i'm not very fond of dutch#i love that arthur draws like all the time#also i wanna add that arthur is far more educated than he comes off as

what does (msn) mean for autism?
“Level 1 - Level 2 - Level 3” in the DSM.
(LSN) Low-Support needs, (MSN) Middle-Support needs, (HSN) High-support needs.
I was in special ed my entire life, as well as discovering (others) I was autistic was very early on (Kindergarten). I’ve always needed extra support specific to my autism, more than LSN autistics need (which is not to say they do not need support — all autistics need some type of support, this is just to help others know how much).
MSN, means that I need substantial help in my day-to-day life to be able to stay alive and functioning. I need a daily caregiver, someone to help me bathe, clothe, food, clean, etc. I wasn’t able to work, go to school myself without some type of accommodations and help from an “aid” or caregiver. I would never have been able to live alone even if I wasn’t physically disabled, because I was always mentally disabled (Autistic).
I just happen to have become physically disabled as well. My old therapist said that Autistic individuals have a higher chance of developing auto-immune disorders and disabilities due to the way the brain and body are connected and work. Especially if that coincides with severe and ongoing trauma, which causes the nervous system to “break down” and immune system to become, well… less immune.
I hope this makes sense, I spent like, 45 minutes writing this to make sure it sounded right.
#asks#anon#autism#autistic#disability#again LSN autistics are very valid and deserve support too#but not everyone is LSN and us MSN/HSN autistics need to be understood too that we are disabled#Many LSN autistics can go to work or have a job (depends on accommodation of course) and wont necessarily need special education resources#autism is a disability whether its LSN/MSN/HSN it all is about the type of support you may need to stay alive and functioning

It's 1 AM. Tumblr scrapped its own content and is negotiating selling it to OpenAI.
The world is truly closing in on artists, which is less to say that I'll ever stop making art bc making art means life to me, but what part of that is going to be shared? I don't know. I seriously don't know...
It's the main reason I left twitter.
I am already sharing less than half of what I make here on tumblr nowadays, not because I don't want to, but what's the point.
I have so many horses; AI can't do horses and it sure as hell won't learn of the back of my work.
I have suggestive fanart that has no nudity in it whatsoever and i am so happy with; following the CEP thing even that has a chance to get flagged bc i've seen it be done to other artists.
I have 10 years worth of work here, i don't want to move. But half of my art got flagged all the way in 2018 and i didn't have the energy to appeal it.
Discord already is selling everything you send through it to OpenAI. Private discord server for art sharing just doesn't work.
So what's the point?
I'm tired...
#i want people to gawk at my weird horses#they're my pride and joy and i love it when people talk about them and do the silly memes or talk educational content#losing twitter has been very hard#if this is how it's gonna be maybe i should just head back there like nothing ever happened and start posting again#if we're all gonna be fodder to skynet anyway#are they gonna start scrapping stuff from our folders next? bc windows 11 is already so internetized and cloud-based?#who am I to say#gonna move back to freaking gouache and start posting my weird horses in galleries#maybe some ken will adopt me into the patriarchy
