Hmmm thinking about writing and how hard it is
I feel like for how long it takes me to write one chapter I can use that same energy to make like 10 art pieces
I’m wondering if it’s even worth it
Like I enjoy writing but it just takes so much of my time
Should I just stop and only do art?

Ive never been happier that I'm only on tumblr I've been discussing the new season of Bridgerton with my friends and one of them said "Yeah and people are being so shitty towards the Benedict and francesca reveal" and my reaction was what people??? I've literally seen nothing but excitement at which point they reminded me that twitter and tiktok still exist

ok so do yall think Teru said the “ah, to be young.” line to Ritsu because his time being alone has made him feel more mature than he actually is and therefore believes hes pretty much grown both comparatively and objectively or do you think he genuinely believes that someone who is at most a year younger than him is just that much younger

have any other queer folk found it difficult to discuss your asexuality around your queer community? i'm friends with wonderful, loving queer people, but i can't help but feel alienated when it comes to discussion surrounding sex. sex and sexuality are such a large part of the young queer experience, and i feel like i have no connection to it, and am fearful that being open with my friends about being asexual will somehow make them think i am not queer.
i identified as queer before i discovered/came to terms with my asexuality, which was just within the past 8 months. i still identify as queer as the only label i am comfortable assigning to myself (no judgement to my microlabel people it just isn't for me), but sometimes i feel fraudulent. attending my first pride this past june was an amazing experience, but i found that i couldn't relate to many aspects because i have no interest in the overtly sexual parts of the experience. i feel uncomfortable when my friends make jokes about me having sex, or insinuating that my relationship interests involve sex. i know it is my obligation to be open about this boundary with them, but the fear of judgement combined with my general anxiety is suffocating.

I adore the parallels between Peeta and Caesar. On that first interview night, Caesar saw someone who managed to get the crowd to their seat's edge in much the same way as he can. He's likely only seen that a few times in his career & that made something with this character in how he views and perceives Peeta.
While I theorise that he saw Peeta winning that whole thing on that very night, meeting him again & again in front of a camera was seeing a genius bounce off of another genius to watching a kid deteriorate in front of his eyes.
I think more than once before the war began, Caesar must have seen something in Peeta that resembled himself. There was this kid with so much talent and charisma that he could have given Caesar a run for it had he been born in the Capitol.
What did that do to Caesar? To look at a kid from the Districts and have that kid stare back? Did he recognise a younger version of himself in him—separated only by place of birth in how their chances played out? And how must it have felt to watch that mirror deteriorate in front of him?

‘Socialism has never worked’?
What do you call Russia, China, and Cuba functionally eradicating homelessness and illiteracy in their respective spheres within a few years of the massive upheaval of revolution, and radically improving the living conditions of millions after generations of poverty? What do you call the Soviet Union bearing the brunt of the greatest military conflict the world has ever seen and emerging victorious? What do you call the Soviet Union holding out for four decades of sustained military and economic warfare against the greatest military and economic superpower the world has ever known? What do you call Vietnam defeating the greatest military empire the world has ever known in its anti-imperialist resistance campaign? What do you call China emerging from the 20th Century as the most populous country on earth with the highest GDP? What do you call China reducing daily covid numbers to double digits in a population of 1.4 billion? What do you call Cuba thriving after six decades of brutal embargoes? What do you call Cuba passing the most progressive and practically protective legislation for family and LGBT rights in a world historical moment marked by increased LGBTphobia among the Western powers? What do you call the people of Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Eastern Europe shrugging off the muck of ages to usher in an era of progress, all while Western powers conspire to sabotage them at every turn while growing fat off the earth they’ve scorched?
I’d ask what history books you’re reading, but I know that you’re not reading any, and the only information you have on the subject is spoon-fed into your colonised mind by the people’s enemies, whose vested interest in fabricating events is readily apparent to any who bother to look into these things.
‘Socialism has never worked’? It has been one of the dominant political-economic models of the past century, and has made drastic strides on every front despite its relative infancy and constant opposition from Western superpowers. If you fear socialism, what do you really fear? Socialism is the people. Socialism is me; socialism is you; socialism is all of us, together.
‘Socialism has never worked’? Socialism has always worked. Socialism is working right now. We will see socialism work again, always.

would it be fair to say that "asexuals can still have sex though" is pretty much the same as saying "lesbians can still fuck men though"?

I love university.
I did a short presentation on the political culture of the First Aldmeri Dominion and it got me someone's thesis on people's willingness to communicate in multiplayer video games.
Is that what scholars are? A bunch of nerds with the power of academic language?

do you notice that lando seems calmer in front of the cameras this year and more composed. and oscar has let loose a bit, relaxed into the role. something about two vines that when put on the same trellis eventually wind their way to the sun together…

anyone else remember that one game called braid that had the weirdest little freak of a guy as the protagonist and a hilariously dumb and hard to get secret ending that upon learning about it ultimately takes away any sort of real artistic nuance in a narrative sense from it as a whole
