no but really, I think it fits him really well! I had thought his UM would probably involve something kinda sleight-of-handy or pickpockety! and I looooved that it made such a nice loop-around back to episode 1. ❤️ I was. kind of half-expecting him to just run out and punch Riddle in the nose again. but instead this time 'twas he who offed the queen's head! it was great! and he did it while stone-cold terrified out of his mind! because Ace is the only remotely normal or well-adjusted person at NRC and therefore the only one who is like "we're going to literally die, this is super effed up". but he did it anyway!!!! So Danny had tried, he really had. He had moved to Gotham because he knew his parents wouldn’t look for him there. They had never found out he was Phantom but things had reached the point where both he and Jazz decided to go no contact.

But back to his problem. He had worked out with Frostbite that he actually only had one obsession, Space. He had been happy to know that, he had been getting tired of the constant struggle to keep both ghosts and humans safe while also dealing with ghost hunters.

So his move to Gotham was both to avoid his parents but also the reassurance that there were multiple heroes taking care of things. He had enjoyed the peace for the first three months but then he had started to get twitchy. He had tried getting some hobbies but by month six he knew he was out of options. He had especially clued in when he noticed a few classmates avoiding him thinking he was about to snap. Jazz had been resigned when he let her know the news.

So that’s why he was now sitting on a conspicuous roof, wearing a mask made in the Infinite Realms, waiting for a Bat or Bird to show up. He was coming out of retirement after all. Hopefully he would be able to work with the Bats instead of working around them. He really didn’t want to end up on the Rogue list.

why? He needs someone who is very good, will not give up or send Tim out to a different specialist just because his medical condition is difficult, will not be overly concerned about the danger Tim puts himself in, and will lie on Tim's medical records AND to Batman/Bruce Wayne/all of the Bats without hesitation or fear.

House is and will do all of those things without hesitation. He has no shame, no boundaries, he WILL get into a public fight with Bruce Wayne if it means keeping that man out of his patient's (and House's) business. He will help Tim lie to and gaslight the rest of his family without hesitation.

in exchange, Tim is his favorite patient. Not because they get along, necessarily, Tim is a know-it-all little shit and they constantly bicker and House hates how practically every facet of Tim's existence is a lie (and Tim thinks House is a smug know-it-all jackass who is needlessly cruel and callous bc he thinks the world owes him and never delivers just bc he's in pain, news flash a lot of people are in pain and manage not to be assholes) BUT, 1, Tim brings him really interesting cases and problems, and 2, Tim NEVER lies to House about his medical conditions or what he was doing when they happened.

He lies about literally almost everything else under the sun TO everyone else, but he is 100% completely upfront and honest about his medical history and what is going on with him with House.

admittedly it takes a while for House to realize Tim ISN'T lying to him because some of the shit he says is completely insane ("the vigilante thing is pretty obvious but what do you MEAN you got the Apocalypse virus TWICE, AND SURVIVED, AS A FOURTEEN-FIFTEEN YEAR OLD")

but once he realizes Tim doesn't ever lie to him, he becomes House's favorite patient because at least TIM gives him all of the data he needs as best he's able the moment he asks. At least House doesn't have to waste his time following up on bogus information or figuring out the truth, he can just get right into the meat of the medical issue at hand.

Out of the three mxtx main couples, who do you think would be the most bearable to a third wheel for? My bet is on bingqiu because shen qingqiu would try to have some sense of shame when there's company around and it'll only be uncomfortable because luo binghe would be glaring the whole time lol. Xie lian seems like he wouldn't even notice how shamefully he and hua cheng act after being married for a while, and I don't trust wangxian to feel any shame at all

Interesting... see, I think I might be the exact opposite from you, anon. The one mxtx pair that I think I would LEAST like to third-wheel on is Bingqiu.

Hualian would reasonable, I think. Xie Lian enjoys meeting and chatting with people, and Hua Cheng is pretty much happy to enable anything that makes Xie Lian happy. The only time we see him getting somewhat tetchy about other people hanging around Xie Lian are other gods that Hua Cheng actively has beef with, and even then he keeps it tamped down when it's clear this is who Xie Lian wants to spend time with. If you ended up having, like, lunch with these two in Ghost City or something, I think it'd be relatively chill -- so long as you aren't being rude or threatening Xie Lian in any way (and why would you?? he is a sweetheart??) then I think you'd be in for a perfectly fine time, you might even get treated to lunch.

Wangxian would even be better, I think... it has the potential to be the best of the three options. Wei Wuxian is actively really social, he likes spending time around people, and seems to make new friends relatively easily. You found yourself spending time with these two for some reason? No worries, Wei Wuxian is going to be enthusiastically trying to drag you into trouble in no time!! Lan Wangji is obviously less out-going in that regard, but he's well-known for going out of his way to protect people (goes where the chaos is) and was generally raised in high society and is perfectly capable of getting through social functions in a polite way (even if he is a bit taciturn). He would be a perfectly civil person to spend time with and nothing bad would happen to you. I think if you ran into these two you'd end up having a very interesting chat with Wei Wuxian, hear maybe three nonconsecutive words spoken by Lan Wangji, and leave in relatively good spirits.

Bingqiu though... whether or not you have a good conversation with Shen Qingqiu 100% depends on how heavily he's leaning into his Aloof Immortal role. He is definitely not above acting distant and haughty to get out of hanging around some random NPC villager he doesn't feel like chatting with, especially given his previous status as NEET and as someone who views other people as background characters with static personalities. Even odds as to whether he views you as a person or a walking talking bit of scenery tbfh. As for Luo Binghe, you can tell that he's at least idly considered killing you just to leave with his Shizun sooner. How dare you waste his Shizun's time. How dare you look at him. Are you looking at him???

As for shamelessness... I think most of the pairs of shameless in the sense that they WON'T bother pretending that they aren't wildly in love with this person anymore, rather than outright really uncomfortable PDA. Hualian might be sugary sweet with each other, but I think it would be tolerable, and Wangxian I think would be fairly tame around strangers they're spending a bit of time with. Lan Wangji has a lot more to prove around his clan than some random person they found themselves sharing a table with.

Binghe, on the other hand, is marking his territory. He wants you as uncomfortable as possible so you leave sooner. Shen Qingqiu is not effectively reining that terror in, he is more than willing to enable his disciple and let Binghe run amok.
