I had a dream about House MD where it was after the end of the show where Wilson only has a few more months to live and he and House were having this coversation in a hotel room, I dont remember what about, then we move to the next scene at an ice cream shop and Wilson brings up the conversation then looks to his left qnd House isnt there cause he died of a heart attack and now Wilson has to spend the rest of his few months alone.

And I had to watch it multiple times because in my dream it was a canon scene.

I was doing the regular house cleaning at 3+am and I was changing the sheets and making the bed before cleaning the bathroom, my dog walks in thinking it's time for bed and he wouldn't stop following me around. I did speedrun the cleaning to go actual lay down with him.

Most of you would have a child removed from your care in an instant if you genuinely believed what you tell me to do is right. That kind of overbearing, independance-killing, cotton wool and helicopter parenting is ABUSE and children ARE REMOVED when that happens. It also SPECIFICALLY goes against my child's care plan and going against care plans is generally VERY RISKY where custody is concerned.

With the Tokitae aka Lolita in the news so much, I'd like to take a minute to remember a different orca: Hugo.

He was caught in Puget Sound, Washington, and sold to Miami Seaquarium. As small as Tokitae's tank is now, Hugo was initially in an even smaller one. After Tokitae was sold to Seaquarium both orcas were moved to a slightly larger tank, the one Tokitae swims in today. Upon purchasing her, Miami Seaquarium changed Tokitae's name to Lolita, after the heroine in the famous novel. You know--the novel where the middle-aged narrator lusts after a twelve year old. Because Tokitae was so much smaller / younger than Hugo and the theme park wanted them to mate--get it?? Yikes.

Anyway. Hugo repeatedly banged his head against the side of his tank. At one point he cracked the viewing wall and nearly severed his rostrum (the tip of his nose), which had to be surgically reattached. In 1980 he died of a brain aneurysm. The image above shows his lifeless body being lifted out of his tank. Miami Seaquarium dumped him at the city landfill.

You won't find any memorials to Hugo at the Seaquarium; they would prefer that you forget him. But I haven't forgotten you, Hugo. Unhappy soul trying to reach the sea.

the problem with oranges is they're such a gamble. i LOVE oranges okay, absolutely love them. i'll eat them all winter long. but they're a gamble bc they're an INVESTMENT to peel and clean and then you don't know till the first bite if you got a good one or a bad / flavorless one. and the disappointment when it's the latter is cruel.
