Become Your Best Version Before 2025 - Day 27
Hobbies & Passion Projects
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi Goddesses! After exploring all those personal development tools yesterday, let's talk about something that adds real color to our lives, hobbies and passion projects. You know, those things that make us lose track of time and bring a spark to our eyes when we talk about them.
Have you noticed how some of the happiest people you know have interests outside of their daily responsibilities? There's something magical about having activities in your life that you do simply because they bring you joy.
One of the most beautiful things about hobbies is that they don't need to be productive or perfect. They're just for you, for your joy, for that feeling of losing track of time while doing something you love.
Some ways to reconnect with what lights you up:
Think about what you loved doing as a child
Notice what makes you lose track of time
Pay attention to what YouTube videos or social media content you naturally gravitate toward
Remember activities that make you feel energized rather than drained
Think back to when you were younger, what did you love doing just for fun? Maybe you spent hours drawing, built elaborate LEGO creations, or wrote stories in your notebook. Somewhere along the way, many of us let these joyful activities slip away, telling ourselves we're "too busy" or that they're not "productive enough."
Let's change that! Here's how to rediscover or start a hobby that lights you up:
Start Small and Simple
Try one new activity for 15 minutes this week
Use materials you already have at home
Join a free online community or workshop
Watch tutorial videos for inspiration
Finding Your Passion Project
What topics do you love learning about?
Which activities make you forget to check your phone?
What did you dream of doing "someday"?
What skills would you like to develop just for fun?
Making Time for Fun
Schedule short, regular "play dates" with yourself
Keep supplies easily accessible
Join local groups or online communities
Share your progress (only if you want to!)
Hobbies and passion projects aren't just fun, they're good for you! They can:
Reduce stress and anxiety
Boost creativity
Improve work-life balance
Create opportunities for new connections
Build confidence through skill development
Here's a secret: hobbies don't need to be Instagram-worthy or turn into a side hustle. They're valuable simply because they bring you joy and help you unwind.
Quick action step: Pick one hobby or passion project you'd like to explore. It could be something brand new or an old interest you'd like to revisit. Start with just 15 minutes this week.
What hobby or passion project are you curious about? Let's share ideas and inspire each other! Drop a comment below, I'd love to hear from you.
See you tomorrow for Day 28! Remember, making time for activities that bring you joy isn't selfish, it's essential for becoming your best self.
ā™” ā˜†:.ļ½”Ā Keep glowing, babes!Ā ā™” ā˜†:.ļ½” With love,Ā Goddess Inner Glow.

there are a lot of evil people in the world and a lot of darkness in the world and so itā€™s very important for me to stress that now more than ever is the time to spread kindness and compassion. combat the evil by not only not partaking in it, but actively refuting it. destroy the notion that being compassionate or generous or kind to someone is uncool or embarrassing or even scary. be the change you want to see. start a chain reaction. positivity only breeds more positivity. do an act of kindness for someone so that that person who is too afraid to do it themselves can see you, realize that theyā€™re not alone, and perhaps sheepishly follow your example. and then the next person who is too afraid but sees that person can do the same. when bad news comes out about bad people or horrible atrocities in the world itā€™s such an easy impulse to despair, and obviously itā€™s important to feel what you need to feel. grieve. be angry. be sorrowful. be empathetic. but dust off your pants and get up and be a part of a chain reaction that, no matter how small the scale, and spread compassion and love and care. all the reasons why you might notā€”ā€œitā€™s hard! itā€™s scary! people will make fun of me! itā€™s useless because thereā€™s too much evil!ā€ are all grade A arguments as to why you should. you have no idea how many people you could inspire to do the same. even if it doesnā€™t get you anyway far, you can at least say you have the nobility of trying. please choose love and please choose life. you are worth loving and you are worth inspiring others to love

TRADWIVES: Ahistoric LARPing
Found some cool clips that debunk the current "tradwife" grift circulating the internet.
Clip 1: Traditional wives were not weak-willed lilies that pined away dutifully, grossly stupid and financially dependent on their husbands... working women, anyway. (Full video here-- though it mainly debunks the "godfather" of the Red Pill more broadly than his misunderstanding of the traditional family.)
Clip 2: The tradwife and Red Pill movement don't understand the 1950s. Married women chose to remain in the work force post WWII, which locked the younger women out of jobs. The younger generations then married and had kids early because the economy was good and there was nothing else to do. (Full video here. I highly recommend it in conjunction with her video carefully deconstructing the "men need sex [at the expense of women]" narrative, found here.)
Clip 3: Lastly, "modern women" who've chosen to become SAHM and SAHW have successfully done so without sacrificing their financial independence or losing their personal dignity or identity. (Full video here, which breaks down popular TikTok tradwife content.)
Obviously, no relationship is perfect; and more obviously, it's a great risk to throwaway the potential of financial freedom and independence on the false dream the trad movement is selling. Not only are they self-employed women masquerading as traditional, but most (not all) are also making a mockery of the hardworking women who juggle their lives, kids, and finances to make a SAHM role work.
At the end of the day, we can only make the best choices for ourselves-- in any area of our lives-- if we're truthfully informed.
Thanks for reading (and watching)~
Enjoy!

I only have 1 very controversial opinion:
You should have a license for kids and pets.
Long rant incoming:
Like... yeah, I know it's bad, it can be strumentalized politically etc etc. I know I know- controlling natality like that is dangerous and stuff. Fine, I get it, I swear I do.
But seriously after all the [INCREDIBLY BAD] parenting I witness (especially now that I am staying at the theme park) and the straight up animal abuse (because otherwise I don't know how to label that shit) I see from certain dog owners...
GEE I GET IT PARENTING/TAKING CARE OF AN ANIMAL IT'S HARD BLA BLA BLA. Don't have them. Please I swear to God Don't make what are supposed to be good memories fucking miserable to your kids.
Just be humble and seek some help or informations on how to take care of something/someone else.
Look. I've seen poor dogs laying on the floor under the few shadows that are here and there tired, absolutely devastated. And I know for a fact the ground ain't cool, those dipshits that own them walk with fucking shoes on and forget the main reason they do huhhh???
DO NOT BRING DOGS WITH YOU AT THE THEME PARK. JFC IT'S NOT THAT HARD OF A CONCEPT. Your dog will be tired, the floor is literally lava, you CANNOT bring them on the roller coasters and you cannot leave them to the staff. It will be stressing for you and miserable for them, do not fucking do it.
And please parents don't be assholes for a day? Jfc it's the first time your 5yrs old kid has experience something like that, be patient???? My god, they're excited, YOU brought them here, match even a half of their enthusiasm.
I know your kid has asked you to look at [insert thing] 30 times and you've already seen it 3000 times before. THEY HAVEN'T. THEY ARE FIVE FFS. LOOK AT THEM SHOWING YOU THE COOL THING. It takes five seconds, even less and theyā€™ll be satisfied.
And the ones who snap at their kids after they ask them something twice.
I hate you. You should have never reproduced. You made life miserable for both you and your poor kid that DOESN'T DESERVE YOU.
Like I don't get it, kids ARE hard and can be pretty annoying, 100% no doubt in my mind. But also if you listen to them, if you [EDUCATE] them and understand how they think... it does get easier. You're the parent. If you don't know how your kids "work" you're doing a bad job.
And maybe you are gonna think "hey Zero, you don't have kids you don't understand, also there is a difference between a parent ignoring a tantrum and what you're saying maybe they are..."
NO. Nuh uh! I've been around children all my life, I've had to help some parents, spend a lot of time being the babysitter of the friend group to the younger siblings.
And guess what? I was their favorite person, why? I matched their energy, I LISTENED to them and I was KIND to them when they asked something. If I had to stop a tantrum I didn't turn it into a screaming match.
Guess I was doing SOMETHING right if ALL those kids from different backgrounds and contexts decided *I* was someone worth listening to.
______________________________
On a more serious note, I know a license for kids is not a good thing because 100% this would be strumentalized against natives, people of color, poor people, etcetera. Yes, yes, I know. It should never become a reality. I am just venting about the bad parents I see, and I wish nothing for them to see the error in their ways and to not further traumatize or make their kids' lives miserable and start over. I believe in rehabilitation and redemption.
I am just angry and tired mate.
A license for animals, however, is something I am starting to believe in after some shit I've witnessed. These owners are dangerous.

there's a scene in Look Back where Fujino bounces her leg in a very specific way that I think it's very relatable. it reaches a point where you can feel her anxiety through the screen and honestly i felt so seen because I do that a Lot when I'm stressed while writing or working. I loved the character acting they did for this movie.

genuinely considering making easy-to-read pamphlets/posts about some STEM concepts, specifically about genetic engineering (CRISPR), how GMOs actually work, what epigenetics are and/or what popular lab procedures basically do. However. That would be like, incredibly niche and science-y. And this is also basically a fandom blog. And unless theyā€™re fanfic writers trying to write a scientist or something I donā€™t think people come to tumblr to read this kind of stuff. Maybeā€¦ if I make them with anime charactersā€¦?

My mom was in so much pain#and was left with injuries that made her cancer treatment more difficult#and i just get so upset that my life and the life of every pregnant person means less to people than a clump of cells#'but it's a baby' it's a parasite. it's a clump of cells. I don't care if it has a heartbeat. I don't care. I have friends-#i have family. i have people that love me and i have things that I do that people rely on. I matter#'but what if the baby cures cancer' WHAT IF I DO. WHAT IF I DO.#I so want to back out i'm crying writing this but. didnt clint stalk Emily and like not leave her alone? IM DEADASS QUESTIONING BECAUSE MY FRIEND SAYS THATS WHY THEY DONT LIKE HIM BECAUSE OF THESE REASONS
HE DIDNT STALK HER YOU GUYS ARE LITERALLY CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!! theres one scene where the player character is trying to get clint to talk to emily and he gets so nervous that he hides in a bush to avoid talking to her. everyone mischaracterizes that scene as him """stalking""" her when in that scene hes literally just so socially anxious that hes hiding away from her to avoid talking to her bc he likes her so much. clint and emily are literally friends!!! like canonically speaking emily considers clint one of her friends!!!!!! hes not an incel, having unrequited feelings for a girl doesnt make you an incel!!! he never bothers her with his feelings, he never feels entitled to her time, he never blames other women for his own loneliness, if anything hes always the one to mention that hes the reason he cant form romantic relationships with other people. hes literally just an awkward guy with a crush on a girl who is none the wiser and thats it!! and yet the entire sdv fandom is like "hes such an incel" like u guys literally do not know what that word means, hes so very obviously just a socially anxious man, not some grubby weirdo who feels entitled to a relationship with emily and blames her for not reciprocating. it irks me so bad when people make this characterization of clint because like did we even play the same game omg????? im serious when i say i think the only reason ppl make these claims about clint is because hes fat. if he had the same personality but sebastian's emo boy sprite, he would be a fandom favorite. a socially anxious emo boy??? you wouldnt hear the end of the clint thirst. but because hes fat and awkward the fandom hates on him and mischaracterizes him to such a degree that it makes me feel like im going crazy bc like seriously are we playing two different games??fdshjofilgjerobigejsgiofen ok end rant

they cut off my tags on that thoreau post. i wrote like much more of a rant and tumblr didnt even tell me they were cuttin it before i pressed post
#listen. i would've been more concise if you made me#tales from diana#i get so passionate on the topic of pre-nineteenth-century female writers and their systemic exclusion from the literary canon#it drives me up a wall i could truly talk forever and ever about all of these misconceptions#lately the one that gets under my skin is 'look at these (well-remembered) female writers who wrote under a pen name'#my god especially if it's a MALE (or gender-neutral) pen name#first of all. the brontes did not have 'male' pen names. the gender of the bells was not known or presumed#but the assumption is that these ppl were trying to hide their gender rather than many ppl chose not to disclose their identity#bc they didnt want their identity to be known.#also many many many women chose unambiguously feminine pen names. ephelia or astrea or laura or lesbia#(yes very often aping latin/classical conventions)#or what jane austen published her work under initially? A Lady#that's not someone trying to avoid being judged as a woman but someone trying not to be known personally in the world. understandably#and many many early novelists were women. the novel was not a respected art form AT ALL in its early years#so it wasn't that controversial that many of the biggest novelists were women.#as the novel grew in perceived sophistication and respectability. the feminine aspect of its identity waned away slowly#and now the generations of aphra behns and eliza haywoods and fanny burneys and ann radcliffes are forgotten entirely#bc no one cared to preserve it!! THAT is the part of the systemic misogyny#not that zero women ever wrote or published anything. far from it#but it took a considerable amount of resourcefulness and/or privilege to achieve that in the first place#and even with that being accomplished. people did not value it enough to preserve it for future generations#we would not have shakespeare like we do without the first folio. that's a very significant historical fact in his legacy.#we'd have maybe a dozen or so plays. not 38.#but even today you do not go into a bookstore and find the complete works (or even plays) of aphra behn anywhere.#or susanna centlivre or mary pix or hannah cowley#how many people do you know who recognize those names? let alone how many people do you know who have READ their works?#very few. and they are not easy to fucking find anywhere either!#and often unless they've been selected in a series like oxford's world classics (god bless oxford's world classics btw!!!)#you won't find them except from very select sellers and often very expensively#many such early women novelists and playwrights have works so rare you cannot find them duplicated on public access sources

Which manga site do you use to find your Makoto-verse?
Ack, sorry for getting back to you so late, I got kinda busy again lol.
By Makoto-verse, I'm assuming that you're talking about my 2-part Makoto posts from my 4ć‚³ćƒž KINGS series, right?
If so, I, unfortunately, don't use any sort of website for that. I have physical copies of the four books in the series, which I simply take photos of on my phone.
I do know that a couple comic strips have been posted to both Tumblr and Pinterest, as well as the first volume being fully translated on some manga website (I can't remember which, I'm sure if you google it, you'll be able to find it). However, if you're looking for pictures of Makoto from the third or fourth books, then that's a lot harder to come across.
With any luck, I do hope to be able to post the entirety of the series here on my blog (and anywhere else people might request it, just for the sake of accessibility). I'm hoping to get that transcribed, translated and scanned by some time this summer, but I can't make any concrete promises yet.
If, by some chance, you're referring to a different post of mine, then I'm not quite sure what you're asking, sorry.
But I hope this answers your question! Sorry I can't give any definitive links as of yet, and I hope you have a good rest of your day/night <3

...kid. there's a difference between being a rocket sympathiser (or an actual rocket team member they are ON HERE)
and being a team rocket SURVIVOR, which is what a lot of the people on your list actually are.
i have no sympathy for people who support the """""ideals""""" of team rocket (mostly might makes right, wealth is might, that sort of shit), nor do i support the average grunt who's only there to make a quick buck. but it's been around long enough that, as we've seen, the rockets are forcing their CHILDREN into the crime syndicate from BIRTH.
none of those kids chose to be there. none of them were giddy with glee at what they had to do to survive.
((ooc: loving the callout post arc! cyn really had no idea what they have wrought!))
If I made a mistake they're welcome to denounce Rocket and I remove them. Not that hard. My beef isn't necessarily with ex Rocket, but if they have Rocket ties they wanna keep hidden of course I'm gonna be suspicious.
Several people outright asked to be added, and I certainly wasn't going to argue with them on that point.
