i have not! sadly for some reason i'm just not super interested in fangames so i honestly haven't looked into it much :( that star guy's design is pretty sick though i'll give it that

Hey, so remember how in Homestuck, Bec Noir is considered the "cancer" in the beta kid's session, and Aranea likens the cherubs to viruses and an immune system? Obviously a lot of these biological references are due to the fact that the universe is contained in the body of a frog, but there's another possible nod to this that I've never seen ANYONE else point out.

I'm currently taking my second semester of Anatomy & Physiology to get into a certificate program, and my note-taking led me to something really interesting.

When a foreign particle enters the body, substances called complement proteins bind to them. This causes a chain of reactions, which eventually leads to the destruction of the foreign particle. What is this chain of reactions called, exactly?
