Day 1 down!
The weather was gorgeous and we got to enjoy the sunlight for a good bit in the park, and I snagged myself some goodies:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(shoutout to @estramor for spotting the Mordor bag... I tried walking away and I couldn't XD Definitely will be the bag I use whenever I cosplay Mairon). And our kitchen is slowly morphing into having soot sprites everywhere -- soot sprite oven mitts, soot sprite apron, soot sprite bookends for the cook books XDD We've been meaning to get a kitchen towel, and this was just too perfect.
Also, after cosplaying for almost ten years, I have finally figured out a way to make raised hairstyles on non-lace front wigs work for me: BALD CAPS! I can't believe I didn't try this sooner, I would have saved myself so much grief (and money lmao). Still not as good as a lace front, obviously, but when the color you need is impossible to find on a lace front, this is a decent alternative. First time I'm actually happy with raised bangs on a blunt hairline wig!
I didn't take photos of the application process but, just for fun, I'm including photos of the removal process under the cut ^^

#all in all a good day#even if the state of this convention depresses me more and more each year#it was never well-organized and there have always been issues with the people who staff it but at least it was#very very fun to be at even if you went alone#it used to be super alive and just activity everywhere and really good energy from everyone#but ever since the pandemic it's just. very meh.#still fun to go shopping and walk around and see people i only ever see at cosplay events#but if enjoyment used to be a 10/10 it is currently at like. a 5 or 6.#which is very disappointing since a big part of the reason this is happening is because of how the con is run#ever since our con center got two buildings they've insisted on splitting it between both. and they're not adjacent.#you have to walk across the freeway to go between them.#so everyone and everything is super scattered. no one knows where anything is. staff are clueless.#add to that the increasing influx of western media/influence into anime spaces and how generic the official merch has become#and it's really just not the same con anymore :/#like half the vendor's floor is d&d stuff. like why?#don't get me wrong i like leather journals and dice and tea blends as much as anyone but like.#i want to go to comic con for that. why is it at the anime con?#it just feels like each year anime fandoms/merch are getting increasingly pushed out of the way#some things have always been present there like at//la and tolk//ien and drag//on age which is fine#but it's to the point where there was a booth today full of bleach stuff and like a good 15 of us were just standing there staring at it#going 'woah look it's bleach'#at an anime con. like. come on.#tl;dr i'm a bitter fandom ancient but still had fun and it was nice to not real life for a bit ^^#tomorrow is just chilling out with a bunch of homunculi during the day and final fantasy concert at night#sunday idk; the plan was to wear akura and just hang out in the park but we'll see how i feel#i didn't have enough vacation time to take monday off like i usually do so i might just skip sunday lmao#withoutwords

#my best friends boyfriend (who i’ve also been friends with for years) is just. not himself rn#we think it’s a manic episode but we don’t really know but it’s. terrifying lowkey#he thinks he’s genuinely jesus and that he’s conquered time and that he and my bsf are adam and eve#he’s been sending my bsf liek hundreds of texts per day since tuesday but it got really really bad and incoherent yesterday#and i woke up this morning to see multiple texts from gcs he created w me in them#and he keeps being like ‘because it’s 6:20 this is true’ and like ‘i know that at 9 pm everyone is gonna understand’#and he’ll text like 5 times then send a sc of what he just texted like that proves something but it’s all nonsense#i’m just really really concerned cause he really needs help but i don’t know how to ensure that happens cause he’s 19. not a minor#he’s just. not him rn. he’s called my bsf multiple times yesterday when he HATES calling normally#he had his band and his mom over in his apartment yesterday cause my bsf called his mom and h went to his bands show but was visibly not ok#and he saw nothing weird about it even tho he hates having ppl over normally and never without warning#and you can’t get him to see logic because everything you say he just twists around to work for him#to be clear it was not this bad when it started. when it started it seemed like normally maybe slightly out there conclusions he was drawing#but it just got worse and worse like exponential decay and really bad yesterday#he also didn’t sleep at all yesterday night and idk if he slept tonight#i know his mom took his phone at one point but he texted me and gcs w me in it starting at like 6:20 this morning#and my bsf and i and friends are on a trip out of state rn but we’re leaving today and i don’t wanna wake her up until i have to because#this is literally hell for her. but it’s just. scary. i don’t know what to do. i don’t think there’s any good options really for me rn#i want to warn ppl and try to explain he’s Not Him rn so they don’t get concerned but who knows if they’ll understand what i’m trying to say#i know it’s not the end of the world but it really feels like the end of my world as i know it if that makes sense#and my bsf lives with him in an apartment near their college and they just signed the lease for the next year#but she can’t stay there with him alone. not until he gets help. we’re all too scared it’s going in the directon where he thinks it’s better#for ppl to go to the afterlife. which like he never would normally. but he’s Not Him and so like. who knows#he keeps talking about all these different dimensions and how you need to travel to the 7th dimension to understand#my bsf was crying yesterday and she called her mom to explain and she keeps saying that she just wants her jake back it’s really scary#cause he will probably never be the same again. he’ll be similar but different but she wants his comfort but he’s Not Him. and can’t give it#i just. really want this to get better but it’s so hard to see that happening rn

i hate getting gifts because first of all are you trying to buy me make me feel obligated to you so I feel the need to be polite and sweet to you all the time and secondly once you inevitably leave what the fuck am i supposed to do with them
#bro these glow in the dark stickers on my ceiling#when i got them i felt so loved and adored for the first time in my life like wow someone#actually cares about me enough to listen to my wandering petty musings#and they comforted me so much at nights like there's light in darkness#now all i want to do is rip them off and burn them#but i already feel so alone in this house#i just feel like if i remove them then this house won't have anything of me like sure some of my clothes#are here some books but my bed was so messsy when i came mom was using it as storage and my study table#was completely unusable mom had put so much stuff like 5 suitcases under it and on top of it more stuff#like um okay i get that i was gone for 3 months but wow you wrote me off pretty quickly huh#like I dont belong here anymore#my dad already says that place isn't my house whenever he gets mad at me or when im not disciplined#like you guys. i wanted to move out at 18 you forced me to live here and now you're sick of me?#lol okay#fuck how will i ever get over this#i was watching that movie today and peter has abandonment issues and he got so upset when lj#was going to move away far from him he was like ok fine since u choose to go so far away let's break up now#because I dont want to wait till 5-6 months and then do it like let's just do it now#like that's such a classic me move being in control of when the relationship ends so you don't have to be there#when the other person completely loses interest and leaves you first#and you know how it got fixed? his dad told him that he loves him and that he's never gonna leave him again#like lol that's not gonna happen to me so i have to find a way to be ok without it#😮‍💨#pity party of one pls look away everyone

pair: jason todd x gn!reader
plot: When you turn 21, the name of your soulmate appears on your forearm. Not everyone is born with a soulmate, and Jason Todd never thought he would have one.
wc: 2k
authors note: I remember reading in a fic somewhere about the Wayne Scholarship, and I forgot who/where I read it exactly, so credit to them whoever they are. Also, some characters may seem a little ooc and tbh I don't really care. I had fun writing this which is all that matters, and I hope you have fun reading it!
pt. 2
Tumblr media
The place Dick had dragged Jason to wasn’t all that bad, considering it was located in Blüdhaven. Unless it was near the University area, there was always something sinister and more corrupt happening under the alcohol, vomit, and blood-stained floors of Gotham bars. Normally no amount of bribery or guilting could make him voluntarily dress up and go out drinking with his older brother, but today was not normal.
It was his twenty-first birthday.
Meaning that by 11:59 tonight, if a name didn’t appear somewhere on one of his arms, he was destined to be alone. Not everyone is born with a soulmate, and realistically, after all the shit he’s been through, Jason Todd never thought he would have one. Despite that, there was some sort of dread slowly filling his body the more he thought about it. Maybe it was that small flame of the little boy he used to be—before Robin and the Bat and the Joker—igniting at the chance of finally having one. It was the same boy who would trace his parents names on their wrist, asking them to tell him once more how they met, what they felt seeing the names appear on their skin. Unfortunately, that little boy would be let down yet again by the end of the night.
His plans had originally been to stay in his main apartment (the one where he stored all his books and indulged in a comfy couch), buy a 6-pack of the cheapest beer and get drunk alone. That was ruined, however, when he received multiple annoying texts from Dick, begging to go out for drinks tonight, specifying multiple times that it would be on him. Jason told himself the only reason he agreed was for the free drinks and to keep himself from checking his forearm every five goddamn seconds (a night out with Richard Grayson was known to be entertaining and unpredictable).
If it was Dicks plan to get Jason blackout drunk, he was doing a pretty good job of it. After agreeing he would be the designated driver, Dick had laid back on the drinks and only taken 3 of the five rounds of shots they had already ordered. Jason was opening up bit by bit, reminiscing on their childhood together. By his fifth shot, smiling seemed to come easier to Jason.
Currently, they were both watching the flatscreen hung behind the bar showing a news channel covering Batman and Robin putting an end to another bank robbery.
Dick pointed at the screen. “Damian learned that move from me.”
“No, I taught him that.”
“I’m the one who taught you that move when you were younger, big dummy,” Dick teased.
“Oh, I forgot.” Jason's tone lost its joking edge, and Dick looked over at him. “You know,” he continued almost somberly. “Ever since coming back, I seem to forget a lot of things.”
His eyes were glued to the screen, watching as Batman jumped out a window in pursuit of the bad guy. Robin shouted after him.
“You’ve been through hell and back, Todd. Normal people wouldn’t have been able to handle it the way you did.”
“No, you see, that's the thing.” Jason's voice was frustrated, his previous smiles gone. His brows furrowed the longer he ranted. “I’m not normal. I cycle through apartments and bunkers like crazy to help me lay low. I sleep in until 3 pm and I put a helmet on to chase down crazy guys with guns for hours at night. The public knows me as some traumatized kid who somehow survived a terrorist attack.” He pauses to take a gulp of beer, slamming the glass onto the bar, lifting his arm to wipe his mouth. Dick watched his jacket slip down his arm.
“Jason–”
“I don’t have a home, I don’t have a stable routine, I don’t even have life insurance!” Dick had somehow managed to get the former deceased and outlaw brother of his drunk and ranting about life. And the worst part? Nobody was ever going to believe him.
“Jason,” Dick puts a hand on his younger brother's shoulder, gripping him like a vice. His eyes never left his arm. “Your soulmate.”
Both of them are silent for a moment. Jason sighs, shaking his head.
“Damn, you're good at this.Yeah, it's about the soulmate thing.”
“You fucking idiot,” Dick slaps him on the back of his head. “Look at your arm!”
Dick watched as Jason stared him in the eyes, his brain clearly trying to catch up with what his brother was insinuating. When he finally looked down, it was comedic the way his eyes bulged at the fresh ink on his left arm. Dick tried his best to keep his excitement at bay, biting back his proud smile. His grumpy, tough, and borderline psychotic little brother had a soulmate. After a couple more seconds of silence, Jason cursed under his breath.
“I’m too sober for this,” Jason mumbled, chugging down the rest of his beer.
Dick laughs, waving the bartender over and handing him a card to close their tab. Jason slams the empty cup down, staring straight ahead at nothing in particular. “I have a soulmate.”
“Yeah man, congratulations!” Dick pats his brother on the back, but recoils at Jason turning abruptly and staring him dead in the eye.
“I have a soulmate.”
“I…yeah, you do bud.”
“...I have a soulmate.” He repeats, annunciating each word, as if he can’t believe it. “I need to find them,” Jason says, standing and walking towards the exit of the bar.
“Woah, Jason–” Dick hurriedly stands, apologetically yelling for the bartender and grabbing his card. Rushing outside, he sees Jason recklessly crossing the street to the parking lot. “Slow down!”
Jason stands awkwardly next to Richard Grayson's blue convertible, clambering over the door and into the passenger seat. Dick watches from across the street, shaking his head with a smile, making his way to the car. He couldn’t find it in himself to be annoyed with Jasons drunken behavior.
Hopping in the driver's seat, Dick puts the keys into the ignition. “Alright loverboy, where are we going?”
“The mansion,” Jason struggles to get his seatbelt on (Dick intervenes). “The Batcave’s computer can find anyone.”
“Huh. That’s actually really smart considering you're drunk.”
“I’m not. Just shut up and drive.”
Dick laughs, hitting the gas pedal and doing as he was told.

Bruce was home early, having quickly left the bank robbers tied up as Gordons responsibility. Currently, he was sitting in the library going over a case file. Damian had already gone to bed when he had gotten an alert of a vehicle coming up the manor's driveway. He checked the security cameras in the garage and was shocked to see his eldest rushing to the passenger side of the car to stop his sluggish brother from falling out. At first, Bruce had thought that he was poisoned or impaired in some way. He called for Alfred, asking him to prepare the medical rooms to tend to Jason. A few short minutes later, he heard faint voices approaching.
“I used to live here before I died, I know where I’m going.”
“Clearly not, we passed the entrance already.”
“The old man has a sensor on that door. We need to take the entrance in one of the bookshelves, they don’t notify him when someone enters.”  No one but Alfred was supposed to know that.
“I doubt it’ll matter, he’s out fighting crime with—oh shit!” Bruce watched through his freakish peripheral vision as two figures hurriedly backed away from the doorway of the library. “Code Bat! Code Bat!” Dicks voice had dropped to a whisper, though not so quiet that Bruce couldn’t hear.
“B’s here?” A head with a white streak of hair popped through the doorway before quickly vanishing. “Oh no.”
“It’s only 11:45, what is he doing lounging around?”
Bruce chuckled quietly, now coming to the realization that they weren’t drugged or in danger; they were just drunk. Jason especially, which made sense. Quietly, he sent Alfred a message telling him to disregard the request. He feigned ignorance to their presence, going as far as flipping pages of the case file in his lap while they bickered, attempting to formulate a plan. Listening in to their not very secretive conversation, Bruce deduced that they had come to find Jason's soulmate on the Bat computer. It was his 21st afterall, and why else would he come drunkenly to the home he tried so hard to stay away from? Bruce found himself smiling for the boy. He had been through so much, and he deserved to have some good in his life. He only hoped that whoever they were, they took care of him in places where Bruce failed.
Sighing exaggeratedly, he stood, stretched and slowly made his way to the doorway, listening as the two brothers hushed. He allowed himself one last second of respite before wiping the smile off his face and walking out into the dark hallway. Dick stood alone, leaning against the wall and whistling. He turned his head, seeing Bruce standing, observing him.
“Oh, hey Bruce! I’ve been looking for you.” Dick pushed off the wall, going to stand next to his Father. “I thought I’d visit, wait for you to get home, but you’re here!”
“What do you need?”
“Oh nothing much,” taking Bruce's arm, he began to drag him in the opposite direction, past the library. “I just got nostalgic, and wanted to take a trip down memory lane with my Pops.”
“You smell like alcohol.”
“Like I said, I was feeling nostalgic!”
Dick rattled on, leading him down the dark halls, and Bruce noticed Jason slipping into the library. He smiled, turning his attention back to his eldest. He couldn’t find himself to be angry about his sons keeping secrets from him. If he felt anything about tonight's endeavor, it was disappointment. Bruce Wayne had taught his sons to be sneakier than they had been tonight.
✮ ⋆ ˚。𖦹 ⋆。°✩  ♡  ✩˚。⋆𖦹。°⋆✮
Jason, in his drunken haste, had almost tripped down the short flight of steps leading to the massive computer. He couldn't really blame the alcohol though—it was his fault for looking down at his arm every couple seconds, as though the black ink would fade away before he ever found out who you were. Even if it did, he had already committed the name to memory.
He knew how many letters were in your name, the number of syllables in the different parts of it. Despite this, he hadn’t yet spoken it out loud. For the last 30 minutes of his life, every breath he took held a certain weight to it, and the beating of his heart had persisted to be about 120 beats per minute.
He blamed it on the alcohol, but logically he knew the reason.
That little boy—the one he thought was dead and buried—was coming back to life, crawling his way out of the depths of Jason and settling into his gut.
His hand shook as he typed the name, every click of the keyboard ringing dully in his skull. Inhaling deeply, Jason hesitated for only a moment before clicking enter. Your name popped up surprisingly quickly, specifically registered under the “Wayne Scholarship” file.
His hand moved by its own volition and the link was clicked, a government ID popping up on the display.
Staring up at the photo of you in awe, his eyes flickered to the name and back to the photo, unbelieving that this was you. Your simple beauty was evident even through the low quality government ID.
He stared for a while, just taking in you. It was a little odd looking at the huge screen, knowing that you two were made for each other. The thought only made his heart speed up even more.
Digging into your file, he finds that you’re 20 and won’t be turning 21 for another seven months. The knowledge that he knows and you don’t makes him nauseous.
Clenching the edge of the table, he remembers that the reason he found you so quick was due to the Wayne Scholarship. You moved to Gotham for your third year of college to attend Gotham University, with most of the tuition paid for as long as you agree to stay away from any and all crime. Suddenly, he had found another reason to be thankful that Bruce was filthy rich. Your current residence was an old apartment complex in the University area, which was for the most part, free of crime. The more information he got from Bruce Wayne's files, the more his stomach fluttered.
That little boy was practically jumping up and down inside of him, chanting over and over again, “I knew it! I knew we would have a soulmate!”. As the information sunk in, he began to shake more violently, and he felt like his legs were barely holding his weight. In fear of throwing up or collapsing on the floor (or both), he fell backwards into Bruce's chair. A tear slid down Jason’s cheek, and then another, and another.
For the first time in a long time, Jason Todd sobbed.

sukuna lets yuuji wear his jersey
a/n: this drabble contains angst that i didn’t want to spoil in the title (i’m so bad with titles y’all PLS bare with me okay)
college!sukuna masterlist
You know how football players usually give their jerseys to their girlfriends? College!Sukuna gives his to his little brother Yuuji.
You’re not big on sports, but Sukuna asked you to watch Yuuji a couple of times because he had “practice at the ass crack of dawn”. Seeing how ripped he is (you may or may not have walked in on him shaving his beard one time while he only had a towel wrapped around his waist) you already thought he did some kind of sport, but you never cared enough to ask him about it. It’s not until 6 months into your forced proximity that you come to know he’s actually really popular on campus.
It happens randomly. You just finished playing monopoly with Yuuji and you’re listening to your sweet little companion tell you he wants to help you cook this evening. You’re discussing what meal to cook when Sukuna comes home, late, as he did every day this week. He throws his gym bag near the living room door, gets his shoes off and grunts as a form of acknowledgment.
“You know, dogs usually bark more than you to say hi. Imagine being worse than an animal,” you say, not even looking at him, picking up the little plastic houses distributed on your table.
“Imagine never shutting the fuck up,” he answers, ruffling his still wet hair from a shower he must have taken not too long ago, not sparing you a glance either. You scowl, watching the water droplets fall on the freshly cleaned (by you) floor. Well, you have to admit he does look hot in his black hoodie. Black compliments his face tattoos really well, you think.
“Bro! Language!” His mini counterpart exclaims from in front of you, putting his hands on his hips, frowning. He looks like an old lady. A really cute and young old lady.
“Yeah, Sukuna, language,” you snort, flipping Sukuna off behind your back when Yuuji isn’t watching. The tattoed man, still standing by the door, narrows his eyes at you when you turn your back on him. Yuuji goes into his room to put the game away and leaves you two alone.
“You’re lucky I need the fucking money to live here or I would’ve fed your body to the really nice dogs who say hi by now,” your roommate says lowly, coming behind you and pushing you out of the way to lay on the couch. He pushes you harder than usual, so you stumble and bump your thigh on the table, muttering ouch and pouting. You’re pretty sure he didn’t control his strength like he usually does in your playful banters. You sit down to rub your sore spot, waiting for Yuuji to come back and start cooking with you, while he just puts his hood on his head and closes his eyes.
“Is this how you treat a lady?” You mumble, at which he scoffs, not even bothering to answer. As a natural conversation starter, you try to think of something to say. You think he looks like he could use a conversation, anyway. He’s been more distant this last week, but he always had his emo moments, so you didn’t think too much about it. Today his mood is darker than usual though, and for some reason, after six months of living together, that doesn’t sit well with you.
"How was tod-"
"Fine," He interrupts you. You're stunned by his roughness.
“Listen, tomorrow I was thinking of going-“
“Can you shut the fuck up?" He curtly barks, one of his eyebrows ticking.
You frown. "Hey, I was just-"
"I’m not joking. Shut up. Stop talking for one fucking day. God, you’re so fucking annoying,” he grits out, scrunching his eyes even more. At this, you close your mouth fast. Well, maybe he didn’t look like he wanted to have a conversation, at the end of the day.
After his outburst, the silence inside the living room is deafening.
You don’t want it to, but the tone he uses stings, even if you try not to let it get under your skin. You thought you two had become close enough to joke around this way, but you apparently guessed wrong. You just wanted to help, and he just shut you completely out. You just wanted to be a good… friend? Are you even friends?
Yuuji gets back and you stand up from the floor, going toward the kitchen. You wince when you put your weight on your leg.
You inhale deeply, reigning yourself in. “What do you think about… quesadillas?” You ask the little one calmly, and you see him beam.
“Yes, please! I want to learn how to make them good like you-“
“Kid, there’s a game tomorrow. Wanna come?” Sukuna interrupts you two. He’s still sitting on the couch with his eyes closed, but now he has his arms crossed too.
“Hell yeah!” Yuuji answers, jumping with his little fist in the air. Sukuna hums.
“Gotta tell coach. You still have the jersey from last time, yeah?” He asks, getting up from the couch and rolling his left shoulder. When it pops, he grimaces in pain a little.
“Of course I do,” the kid proudly says, looking up at his big brother with stars in his eyes. Standing next to each other they look like the ghost of the past and the ghost of the future from A Christmas Carol. Yuuji is dressed in bright yellow while if Sukuna had any more black on him he’d be a shadow. A chill runs up your spine. Spooky.
“Good,” Sukuna rasps out, solemnly getting the palm of his hand on his little brother’s head.
You start preparing the ingredients for dinner. “Are you eating with-“
“I’m going to sleep,” he interrupts you once again. He still hasn’t looked you in the eyes since he entered the apartment. You turn away, not wanting Yuuji to feel the shift in your mood by looking at your face.
“Goodnight, bro,” Yuuji says cheerfully. Your other roommate rushes inside his room, locking it from inside, and you and Yuuji are left standing in front of the stove in silence.
“Oh. Well,” you start talking again awkwardly, a fake chuckle coming through. “I guess that means he’s not eating with us,” you tell Yuuji, getting back to preparing the ingredients for your dinner, now for two.
“It’s a big game, you know,” Yuuji whisper shouts from next to you, overstuffing his quesadilla. “I already knew about it, but it feels nice when he asks me to go,” the kid continues, a small smile ever present on his lips. Your gaze softens.
“What sport and position are we talking about?” You ask him, handing him a piece of cheese to chew on while you finish preparing everything.
“He’s a quaftef bafck. He’f capftainf too,” Yuuji answers between bites. So he’s a football player. His strength makes sense now.
“You seem really proud of him, Yuuji,” you tell him sweetly, adoring the way he’s trying to get his point across by waving his hands in the air a lot.
He gulps down the cheese. “Yeah, big bro always lets me wear his jersey. He told me that if someone annoying has to be wearing it, then he might as well give it to me,” he smiles, big, while you inwardly cringe. Couldn’t be Sukuna if he didn’t say something that felt more like an insult than a compliment.
“Why is it an important game?” You ask, preparing one more quesadilla.
“Because he just became captain! It’s his first game as a captain!” The kid tells you, jumping a little on his chair and watching you, excited. Oh, is that why he looked like a bird just shat on him the whole week?
“Well, then you have to be his top supporter, don’t you think?”
The next morning, you wake up early to go grocery shopping. You wanted to ask Sukuna to come with you yesterday, but after the way he probably didn’t even notice he treated you, you really don’t feel like it. You get out of your bedroom door and are met with the sight of Yuuji already wearing his brother’s way too big jersey. You snap a pic when he’s still turned around. He looks so cute.
You go toward him, who is conveniently also toward the apartment exit. He hears your footsteps and looks at you expectantly.
“Can you help me tie the scarf?” He asks you, said scarf still in his hands. It's full of little drawings of tigers, which he told you are the mascots of the football team.
“Of course Yuuji. You look so good today, I bet your brother is really happy, mh?” You smile, getting at his eye level and wrapping the piece of cloth around his neck.
“I think he’s almost ready too!” He says, raising his eyebrows. Then, he assumes a confused expression. “Wait, aren’t you coming? I thought we were going together.”
You hesitate.
“I have to go grocery shopping today,” you answer, averting your gaze.
“Can’t it wait? It’s a really big game,” Yuuji pouts.
You hesitate again.
“I don’t think your brother wants me there, Yuuyuu,” you softly smile, trying to be nonchalant, finally securing the scarf and standing back up. You try not to look into the little boy’s eyes, because you’re sure you aren’t that good at masking your feelings.
“But he was-“
“Brat, are you ready?” Comes Sukuna’s voice from down the hall. You push Yuuji toward the approaching footsteps, mouthing Go! He’s talking to you! The child looks back at you like he wants to tell you something, but you ignore it. You hastily open the door to get out, managing to catch Sukuna’s gaze only a spare second before closing it behind your back. You stiffen. Then, you walk away.
Inside the apartment, Sukuna puts on a confused expression, matching his sibling’s one.
“Where did she go? Nevermind. We’re late, Yuuji. Run, or I’ll leave you here,” he hurries out, grabbing his house keys, hands sweating and feet carrying him to the stadium, while Yuuji tries to follow him.
When the Itadori brothers come back home, Yuuji screaming and Sukuna grinning like a madman for his team’s victory, you’re not there.
“Awh, I wanted to let her know you won,” says Yuuji pouting. In your place, there’s a sticky note on the fridge, which looks like it’s been there since this morning. In the haste of leaving, they both didn't notice it.
Go Tigers!!! P.S. for Sukuna: I left some quesadillas in the fridge. Good luck, captain.
Yuuji claps his hands, saying you must have made more yesterday after dinner when he was asleep, happy to be eating something good two days in a row. Meanwhile, Sukuna can’t take his eyes off the little piece of paper.
“Yo, do you know where she went to this morning?” He asks Yuuji, who is getting out a plate to microwave the food.
“She said she went grocery shopping. She said you didn’t want her at the game,” his little brother responds, lightly and not worried at all, like this is a reoccurring conversation.
“What?” Scoffs Sukuna, baffled, whipping his head toward his brother’s. When did he ever say something like that?
“Well, she said she thought you didn’t want her there,” specifies Yuuji, shrugging, getting two forks and two knives to put on the kitchen table. “I tried telling her you bought her a ticket too! But I don’t know, she seemed…” he stops, thinking about the correct words to say, now looking directly at his big brother’s eyes. “She seemed sad,” he finishes, muttering.
Right then, a tube of cream for bruises put near the coffee machine catches Sukuna’s eyes. He grits his teeth. He thinks back to yesterday, and to the way you rushed out this morning. To the way you obviously tried to ignore him when you locked his gaze. To the way your ticket never left his pocket, because he never properly asked you to come.
Suddenly, the words on the sticky note burn on his skin like a fresh tattoo.
Shit.

Tumblr media
Catching feelings for your friend was truly a fickle thing. But you guessed it was bound to happen with what you and Laios were doing behind everyone’s back. Each night, after your party tucked themselves in their bedrolls, Laios would so delicately lace your arm through his and you two would find a private area … before he completely buried his face between your thighs.
He was fixated on the way you tasted, the way he could get you to cum so easily on his tongue. You were the only dessert he wanted after every dinner. Some nights, he would have you writhing from overstimulation, but he just wanted more of you – so much more.
It was a little confusing, though, how he didn’t ask for anything in return. Laios seemed to grind against the cold, dungeon floor as his tongue lapped at your essence, sometimes cumming in his pants and moaning between your legs. Or he would politely excuse himself after he was done, taking care of himself as you cleaned yourself up. You didn’t quite understand it, and maybe neither did he. You both were just too awkward to broach the subject.
The incident with the sea serpent had changed your friendship forever. Not only did Laios save you from becoming one, but the intimacy you both now shared seemed to open you up more. You found yourself divulging more secrets to him, leaning on him when you needed someone, even being more impartial to Senshi’s monster meals. And you liked the way he smiled, how he looked at you. You liked how fearless he was. You liked how protective he was over the party, especially you. You … really liked him. Far more than a crush. In fact, you wished you could go back in time and just have a crush. But your feelings for him became deeper as you crept lower and lower into the dungeon together. Your goal was still to come out of this dungeon alive, but now … you hoped that you would make it out alive together.
What a foolish girl you had become.
You tried to remain focused on the path ahead of you, but you were clearly lost in thought today. The party had reached floor 6, which meant you were closer and closer to the deepest part of the dungeon and hopefully rescuing Laios’ sister, Falin. The last thing you expected to see on floor 6 were other adventurers, let alone your ex.
You were hesitant to call him an ex, since you two had never really been anything but a warm body in each other’s beds while living on the surface. But when your bodies collided and your eyes met his, you realized why you had taken a liking to him in the first place. He had been a butcher’s son, handy with an axe, and you had liked his big, strong hands. You almost fell right into him from the slippery dungeon floor, but those strong hands seemed to catch you like you were made of air. “It’s you,” he chuckled, setting you up straight and tucking a stray hair behind your ear. “Look at you … feels like it was just yesterday when we were on the surface, huh?”
Marcille looked like she didn’t want anything to do with your ex and his party, but Senshi was very kind to offer them food, if they needed it. Chilchuck seemed neutral, and Laios … you still couldn’t read Laios as easily as the rest of the party. He watched your ex like a hawk, standing behind you as if to protect you. Your ex’s hands were big, sure, but Laios was tall, his shoulders wide and intimidating even without the armor. Laios narrowed his eyes slightly whenever he saw your ex’s gaze roam over you, like he was undressing you with his eyes. And you weren’t sure if you caught it – it only lasted a second – but did Laios clench his hands into fists?
There wasn’t enough time in the world to dwell on it. Especially when you had ghosts seemingly pulling you into another area of the dungeon and waking up on a dirt path, a beautiful golden castle mounted ahead of you. Your party was initially confused, walking into the village and seeing monsters living harmoniously with humans. After becoming acquainted with the village, you and your friends were offered a warm, delicious meal with Yaad, the lord of the Golden Country. After Yaad explained the history of this village, you all were each given rooms to rest in for the night. The beds were small and cold, but far better than a bedroll.
You were used to Laios initiating with you every night, but by the time everyone went to sleep, he still didn’t call upon you. So you stood from your bed, adjusting the nightgown given to you, and walked across the hall to where Laios’ room was. You knocked on his door, and you heard the slip of a sword into a sheath behind the thin wood. He had been inspecting Kensuke for some reason, probably mulling over Yaad’s words. When he opened the door, he was dressed in loose pants and a linen shirt, droplets running down his neck. He must’ve just bathed. You couldn’t stop yourself from digging your nails into your palm.
“Can I come in?” You asked in a hushed voice, and he moved out of the way for you to step inside.
His room looked exactly like yours, but the sheets were ruffled from lack of sleep. Laios walked around you and sat on the edge of the bed, leaving you more confused than ever. You played with your hands as you stared at him, contemplating. “Is something wrong, Laios?” You inquired, stepping closer to him. “You’ve been acting weird even before we got here.”
His brow furrowed for a moment. “How do you figure?”
“Well, you …” Your tongue clicked. “You didn’t come to find me after everyone went to bed.”
He seemed to concede, shoulders dipping at your answer. Shifting on the mattress, he propped himself up against his pillows and moved Kensuke to lean against the wall. His silence was even more perplexing. This had to be the longest time Laios went without talking. He was a blabbermouth.
“I don’t understand,” you continued, walking over and sitting on the end of his bed. “Are you … are you angry with me?”
“No, no,” Laios was quick to reply, “I’m not angry with you. I’m just …”
You raised a brow, eager to hear his answer.
“That man you recognized. On floor 6,” he finally said, his fists clenching again at the memory. “I didn’t … I didn’t like the way he looked at you. And his tone. It was disrespectful to you. Unless I’m reading this all wrong.”
You were taken aback by his honesty. So he had been bothered by your ex. “Oh,” you replied, “well … me and him, we do have history, Laios. But it’s in the past.”
“I could tell.” He was picking at his nails now, any excuse not to meet your eyes. “Everyone has a life before the dungeon. It’s not about the past. I just … I didn’t like him. Or how he looked at you like … like he still wanted you. Or something.”
“Or something,” you repeated, nodding your head. A slow smile crept onto your lips at the realization. “Laios, are you jealous?”
His head jolted up, his eyes glued to his hands, searching for something unknown. Realization washed over his face, as if he hadn’t even considered this possibility. “Oh, gods,” he pinched the bridge of his nose. “This whole day I’ve been trying to reconcile with what I’m feeling and I knew I wasn’t mad at you – maybe just mad at the circumstances – and none of it made sense, but now …” He finally met your eyes, a chuckle slipping past his lips. “I was just jealous. How did I not realize?”
“Maybe because we didn’t talk about it,” you offered in a low voice, reaching out and lacing your fingers with his. A jolt of electricity ran through your fingertips and all the way up your arm. You wished you could hide your reaction, but it was clear as day, making Laios shift in his spot. “Laios, we should talk –”
“You’re not leaving the party, are you?” His grip on your fingers went tight, and he didn’t even realize it.
“No,” you laughed, scooting closer and running your free hand over his face. His cheeks flushed instantly when you touched him. “I think … we should talk about what’s happening between us.”
Laios’ gaze went narrow as he processed your words. “Oh,” he said blankly, and then his eyes went wide. “Oh.”
“I just … because we’ve been doing this every night … it’s hard not to feel …” You sighed, unable to get the words right. But he seemed to understand, quick-witted as ever, squeezing your hand in encouragement. And then he smiled at you, all dopey and kind, and your heart began to pound. “I can’t help but think that the lines are being blurred between us. My feelings for you are … much deeper than what they were initially. And if you don’t feel the same way, that’s okay. I needed you to know. I’m sorry if this hurts … whatever our relationship is.”
He was still smiling, his other hand gripping your waist, pulling you even closer. “Well, I think –”
“And now I can’t help but wonder if maybe – just maybe – you feel the same way,” you started rambling, terrified to know how he was going to reply. “Because why would you feel jealous if you didn’t … I shouldn’t make assumptions. But I still wondered. And I can’t stop talking. Again, I don’t want this to ruin anything and I’m sorry if it does. My ex doesn’t mean anything to me anymore and he won’t ever again –”
Out of nowhere, Laios used his upper body strength to flip you onto your back, pinning you to the bed. Now your cheeks were flushed, completely caught off guard by the action. He sat in between your legs, his fingers just brushing over your waist, as he said, “I do. Feel the same. I feel like I’m the one who could’ve ruined this because I didn’t realize it sooner.”
You gave him a sad smile, reaching up to cup his chin. “You couldn’t ruin anything.”
He leaned into your palm when your hand moved to his cheek, humming under his breath. He then leaned down, his body just barely pressing against yours, as if he craved your body heat. Like a moth to a flame.
“Can we not talk about your ex ever again?” He muttered, his hands running up and down your sides. “Because when I saw him today, all I could think about was …” He stopped himself abruptly.
“What?” Your curiosity peaked.
“I’m going to sound like a jealous brute,” he sighed dramatically, nose brushing against yours as his hands moved higher, thumbs grazing over the underside of your breasts. The material of your nightgown was so thin that your peaked nipples were already visible. “I just … couldn’t stop thinking about all the times I’ve tasted you that he hasn’t. I wondered if he knew exactly how you liked it, which places made those funny sounds come out of your mouth. And then, I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and all I wanted this whole day was to get you alone.”
You shuddered when his thumb brushed over one of your taut nipples, making your heel run down the back of his leg. His words alone made tingles run down your spine, but the second his hands were on you, you were properly soaked. The both of you lay there for a moment: him on top of you, nuzzling your nose, rolling his fingers over your nipples through your nightgown, eliciting breath hitches from your lips.
It was so slow, so patient, so good, but had you wanting more. And you couldn’t stop the words coming out when you blurted, “I want to have sex.”
He paused, opening his eyes for a moment, making sure he heard you properly.
“We don’t have to if you don’t want to,” you said quickly, feeling awkward. But why were you so shy all of a sudden? It’s not like he didn’t have his tongue deep inside your pussy every night. Maybe it was because there was a question still lying underneath the surface. “Why ... why don’t you want me to help you finish after you eat me out? Sometimes you just … walk away to take care of yourself.”
Laios’ face went bright red, and then he buried his face in your neck. “I’m so embarrassed.”
Your hand pushed back his cropped, blonde hair, trying to soothe his racing heart. “Why are you embarrassed?”
“Because it’s … it’s big,” he sighed and lifted his head. “There. I said it. It’s just big. And the last person who saw it made me feel super self-conscious about it.”
You couldn’t help but snort. “You’re embarrassed because you have a big dick?”
His pretty golden eyes were serious, but it looked like he wanted to laugh with you. “Please, don’t make it sound trivial.”
“It’s not trivial, it’s just …” You went to cup both his cheeks. The way he looked at you was unlike anything you ever experienced. You wondered why it took you so long to realize he felt the same. “I would never make you feel self-conscious about anything. I like everything about you, Laios.”
Your words had him melting, leaning back down into you and kissing you slowly. It was only when his tongue slipped into your mouth that his hand snaked down between your legs, just cupping your soaked entrance, the one thing he loved to eat more cheesecake. Realizing that you weren’t wearing any underwear had him reeling. “Gods …” He moaned into the kiss, his fingers simply running down your soaked folds.
As his lips broke away from yours, you asked in a tone as sweet as barometz, “Do you want to have sex, Laios?”
“Yes,” he replied, voice desperate. “Yes, please.”
Your hands went to the hem of his loose, linen shirt, breaking your kiss again to lift it over his head. For the first time, you were able to see what he looked like underneath all the armor. His shoulders were wide-set, his torso soft while also being oddly defined. Most tall-men your party encountered thought Laios was on the slender side, not believing how strong he was. But once your eyes beheld his biceps, you knew how wrong they all were. He was built and muscular and – gods, you could admire him for hours.
Laios stopped your hands from going any further, a pleading look in his eyes. He pushed your nightgown up and bunched it at the waist. “Can I taste you first?”
You nodded quickly, already intoxicated by the way he kissed you, the way he smiled at you, all eager and excited to bury his face in your pussy. It didn’t take him long; he was lightning fast, moving down your body and lifting your legs on his shoulders so he could eat you out easier. His tongue dove into your folds immediately, and he groaned at the first taste. You were acutely more aware every night that he could do this for hours, just lapping at you lazily, bringing you to orgasm over and over again. No monster compared to the way you tasted.
His nose bumped your clit as he tongued your leaking hole, practically whimpering at every drop of your wetness that reached his mouth. Large, calloused hands wrapped around your thighs, making sure they didn’t close and digging into your flesh. Your own hands fisted into the sheets, your ass lifted off the bed, but you could still grind your hips against his face. Soft whines left your lips, nothing compared to the groans Laios was making as he ate you like he didn’t have a three-course meal just an hour ago. You almost wondered if you should tell him to quiet down, afraid of the others hearing, but you were too lost in the pleasure to care.
It was clear to you the closer you got to reaching your peak that Laios wasn’t keen on stopping. And as much as you truly wanted to cum all over his tongue, you thought it was important that you both have this new experience together. It took you a few seconds to finally gather the courage to say something, his tongue feeling too good as he swirled it around your sensitive clit. “Laios,” you called, and then a little louder, “Laios.”
He lifted his head, your juices dripping down his chin. A primal urge made him want to dive back into you, but he controlled himself. His tongue licked at your essence around his mouth, and you shuddered at the sight.
“I want you inside me,” you whispered. “Is that okay?”
“Yes, yes,” he muttered hoarsely, placing your legs so delicately back on the bed, as if they were made of glass. “Of course.” He so desperately wanted to taste you again, but he was even more excited for this, to finally feel something other than his hand wrapped around his cock. You were the first person he ever tasted, but it had been quite a while since he was truly intimate with someone, to slide into someone and feel them clench around him.
As you tugged off your nightgown, Laios began to work at the ties of his pants. But his hands stopped as they came undone, glancing up at you with hesitation. You looked so pretty sitting in the middle of his bed, waiting for him, naked and vulnerable. He felt silly for feeling so self-conscious, especially when you were so beautiful like this.
“Laios,” you cooed, caressing his arm, “there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. And if you don’t want to, then we can stop.”
He almost choked on a laugh. “Trust me,” he replied, “I want to.”
After another beat of stalling, Laios finally stepped out of his bottoms and blushed pink from ear to ear. His cock was … well, it certainly was big. You sympathized with him; if anyone told you something about your body during sex, you would focus on that forever. But there was nothing for him to be embarrassed about. Truthfully, most males would kill to have what he did. His cock was thick and long, a few veins trailing down the shaft, curving up at his pretty red tip that was dripping with precum. You got even more wet just from staring at it, wondering what he would finally feel like inside of you.
Your mouth opened to say something, anything to make him feel better, but he was already talking: “I need a distraction so I don’t think about you staring at it.” He crawled back onto the bed and between your thighs, immediately pressing his lips to yours. You could taste yourself still on his mouth, and your arms wound around his shoulders instantly. His teeth tugged at your bottom lip, and he asked, “Can I just … ramble about monster facts for a minute?”
You blinked, not expecting that. Laios released your lower lip and sighed, clearly still nervous. “It’ll help me get over this feeling. I swear. Or if you want to stop this, we can. I’ll … I’ll understand –”
“Laios,” you huffed, your mouth pulling back into a sweet smile, “I want you to do whatever makes you feel comfortable.”
“Oh, thank the gods,” he muttered, nuzzling his face back into your neck, placing sloppy kisses. “Did you know that … that harpies almost exclusively have the head of a female human and it is unknown if male harpies exist?”
His voice was muffled against your neck, but you could tell he was desperate and aching. You felt his hard length against your stomach, smearing precum on the exposed skin. “Really?” You breathed out, trying to engage with him but completely failing when he licked a stripe up your neck. A moan escaped your lips.
“There’s also … there’s, uh …” He was struggling to talk now, grasping his cock and giving it a few quick pumps before teasing the head against your dripping wet folds. Your legs instinctively opened wider for him, hoping to whatever gods were out there that you could take his cock. “There also exists a seabird variant of harpies called … called, Sirens. Their wings and  … their – their tail look like a seagull’s.”
You could hardly breathe as you asked, “What else, Laios?”
He began to push inside you slowly, letting you adjust with each inch. “Okay, okay … uh … bicorns … bicorns hate – oh, fuck.” Just the feeling of your tight warmth wrapped around his cock had him biting into your shoulder, like you were the forbidden fruit. He could hardly string together a word, could hardly think, as he sank deeper and deeper into you, his whole body shaking. “Bicorns hate … hate virtue. They prefer – shit – immorality. It is believed that … doing all seven deadly sins will … will allow an individual to approach a bicorn – fuck. Fuck. It feels –”
When he was finally buried to the hilt, all he could do was breathe into your neck. You whined, locking your legs around his waist. The stretch was unbelievable; your walls gripped him like a vice. But it was even better than you could’ve imagined. If you had thought originally that the night would go this way, you would’ve at least brushed your hair. Laios didn’t care though, inhaling the flowery scent as he nosed your pretty strands. You couldn’t even comprehend – whether it be from the stretch of his thick cock inside you or the overwhelming amount of butterflies in your stomach – how you were so lucky to have found him.
Not to mention, you felt even luckier that this wasn’t happening on a cold dungeon floor.
With one hand carding into his hair, you chuckled under your breath, “Had enough of reciting monster facts?”
“Mmhmm …” He groaned, unable to form a sentence. You finally felt him pull back before pushing into you in one fast, deep thrust, making you shiver. Your body was hardly used to feeling this full, but you wanted him so badly that it was humiliating, a pink blush tinting your nose. “You feel so good,” he muttered.
You pulled on his hair, and his head lifted from your neck. His lips were swollen from kissing you. Yours probably looked the same. But that didn’t matter right now as he held your gaze and began thrusting into you a little faster. His eyes were the color of melted gold, flecked with amber and brown, and you felt like you could stare into them forever while he fucked you. Laios lifted one of your legs higher on his waist, but his other hand stayed around your middle, keeping you nestled against him.
“Laios,” you whimpered, feeling him nudge your clit with each roll of his hips. Despite his desperation, his pace was tender and relaxed, making sure you were adjusting to his size. He knew he was big – clearly, it was something he’d been self-conscious about for a while – but the way you were looking at him right now … he’d never felt more at ease, more special. This was all he ever wanted: to be close to someone like this, to find intimacy with someone he had true feelings for. All the other times had been stepping stones, leading to this moment with you, where your warmth enveloped him so nicely and your gaze made him want to cum on the spot.
His hips began to move a little faster, pushing even deeper inside you, as his mouth swallowed your moans in a hungry kiss. Face going hot, you trembled, and his cock pulsed inside you with each pass. Your nails dragged down his shoulder blades, leaving marks for him to examine later, like a predator with its prey. Goosebumps raised on his skin, feeling himself get closer … and closer … and closer. If you kept digging your nails into him like that, he’d surely lose his grasp on reality. But you just felt so good, so warm, and he craved you. Craved you like you were his last meal.
“Laios,” you croaked out when his lips broke from yours, “Laios, are you close?”
He could hardly say anything else but, “Mm …”
You thought you could get there by now from his tongue teasing you earlier, but you needed a little more friction. Bumping against your clit wasn’t enough. “Okay, okay,” you rambled, reaching down between your legs to touch yourself. “Just hold off for another minute. I’ll get there.”
Laios opened his eyes, realizing what you were doing, immediately envious of your own hand. “No, let me,” he murmured, voice like honey, and found your clit easily. “Then I can taste you on my fingers after.” His excitement made you laugh, which brought a smile to his own lips.
He shifted a little, pulling back so only his tip rested inside you, and fucked back into you at a different angle, one that brushed against your special spot. The stimulation of both your clit and g-spot had your back arching, whimpers slipping out of your lips like a chant.
“Is … this … better?” He asked, panting after each word.
Your voice was strained when you answered, “Y—Yes.”
His balls slapped against the underside of your ass, and he knew how close he was, but all he cared about at this moment was cumming together. He needed to see that look on your face when you reached your peak. He only got to see it a few times, when he lifted his eyes while tasting you, watching the way your lips parted and sweat ran down your forehead.
His fingers rubbed tight circles on your aching clit – knowing exactly what you liked – and you were close. So, so close already. Laios had a way of touching you that felt inquisitive, yet effortless. Like he wanted to learn which spots made you moan the loudest, while also already knowing without even touching you. You grew to like him not just because of his dopey grin, his protectiveness, or his positivity, but also for the way he was willing to learn with you, the way he needed you. And right now, he needed you to cum more than anything.
Tension coiled in your lower abdomen, making you gasp out, “Laios – fuck – Laios, I’m gonna –”
“I know, I know,” he rasped. His pace was nearing on brutal, his whole body shaking as he held off his release for you. “Together. We’ll – together.”
And then, your muscles tighten. You clenched around his cock, and it only took one more thrust against your g-spot to have you falling apart underneath him. You put a hand over your mouth as you cried out, careful of the rest of the party hearing. Your eyes rolled back, his fingers stroking your clit through it, and it all just felt too, too good. Your orgasm went on forever, wave after wave of pleasure crashing over you. As your walls spasmed around his cock, he groaned low, finally spilling into you. His hips stuttered. His mouth gasped for air against your lips, as he felt a ripple of relief from emptying himself inside you. He bit into your shoulder again to muffle his own noises. Your pussy convulsed, milking every last drop, and you were pretty sure you saw stars.
Once the aftershocks hit you both, he slumped against you, breathing in the scent of your hair again. Your fingers traced small circles onto his back muscles, your chest rising and falling with the fast beat of your heart. When his cock went soft inside you, his fingers finally left your clit and he brought them to his mouth. Your eyes were half-lidded as you watched him wrap his lips around his fingers and suck the juices off, moaning at the taste. He looked like an intricate painting; you couldn’t help but admire the sight.
His fingers left his mouth with a wet pop, and he whispered in a voice so soft you almost didn’t hear him, “You just taste so, so good.”
Laios kissed you again, slow and full of affection. You didn’t even care that he was still inside you; you could stay like this forever, pressed into his warm skin. Gods, you liked him so much that you immediately whimpered as his tongue slid into your mouth, and when he shuddered at your fingers on his back … you couldn’t believe you once questioned if he returned your feelings. You had both been so oblivious.
His mouth moved away from yours and he cupped your cheek. He took a moment to memorize the dusting of red across your face, the way your eyes hardly opened after sex, and then said, “Are you hungry? I think we both need a snack. It’s been a long night already.”
You giggled. “You had me at hungry.”

Your room was constantly empty growing up. That's not to say nothing happened or you were perpetually alone, but it was very rare for one of the workers at the family estate to visit you. Or anyone else for that matter. You were the one doing the visiting.
One of your greatest concerns regarding your inevitable marriage was simply the nature of sharing a room with someone else at all times. You wondered if your spouse would grow sick of you. If you were a strangely awkward companion. If perhaps you would be too clingy, or otherwise too hesitant. Maybe you were an uncomfortable bedmate, who knows?
All of these worries had ceased, however, with the onset of Kento in your life.
He was gentle and patient with you, friendly and curious to know you. This morning, you had awoken with recollections of the previous night. Had all that really happened? It seemed more than ever that perhaps you really had made a friend.
Your time in Kyoto was fun; you had enjoyed pretending to be normal, but when you would come home for break, you were reminded that your world was not one that could be escaped from. As much as you would have liked to have stayed friends with your classmates, that just hadn't been in the cards for you.
You felt luckier than ever, having stayed up late simply talking with someone you knew would remain present in your life. You had assumed marriage was something scary, something that only lead to more anxiety, but now, your worries seemed wholly irrational.
He called you by your first name, and you his. Even now, Kento stood before you in loose pajamas, his hair tousled in a way you had never seen, pouring you a drink.
"Have you ever been to the beach?" He asked, passing you the cup.
You shook your head, "No...not a real one anyway." He simply nodded.
"Me either." Shrugging, he sat down on his mattress, yawning and running a hand through his hair. It made you smile. How was it that he looked so attractive, unkempt?
It did come as a surprise that he hadn't been to the ocean. You had learned he was quite fond of the water- that, paired with the independence he seemed to exude, you would have expected him to have been at least once. His homeland was an Island after all.
"One time, in school, after finishing one of our missions," You stretch and pull one of your luggage bags to your mattress, "my classmates and I stopped by Lake Biwa." You shook your head, recalling the experience. "It's near Kyoto, and it's so big, it was easy for me to pretend it was the ocean."
Now you would get to see the real thing. You set aside your swimsuit and began to put a bag together for the days ahead of you.

You had arrived at the final destination (before the return journey, of course), the northernmost point of your trip, early that morning. You had been so busy getting to know your husband the night before that you hadn't packed for the days away from the mainland.
Organized as ever, Kento had the schedule mapped out to ease your mind. Today, you would stay in together until noon. After a brunch on the train, you would take a ferry to Pulau Redang, a beautiful island with crystal clear water. You needed to bring your luggage with you because you would not be sleeping on the train this evening, but rather, at a resort in the island.
You set aside the heels you had worn to dinner the night before, opting instead for a comfortable pair of loafers, flipping them upside down, you zipped up your bag. Recalling the contents you had just filled it with, you stopped short, knowing you would be changing into the bathing suit you had brought along before departing.
You had a loose pair of overalls to cover it, and everyone would be in swim attire. What did it matter, anyway? The truth was, you couldn't put aside the notion that you wanted desperately to look nice.
It was a modest one-piece; even so, your family would have some choice words if they saw you in it. When you compared it to the bathing suits the beautiful women you had seen on the beach wearing, you felt suddenly embarrassed.
In the bathroom, you fiddled with the straps of your linen overalls, checking around you for anything you might need while off the train.
When you came around, Kento did not even allow you to pull the bag off the luggage rack, insisting on carrying it for you.
You laughed a bit when his forearm came into view, lifting the case with ease and settling it at his feet. You looked up at him, "Don't you remember how strong I am?" Certainly, the higher-ups hadn't left out your skill in the jujutsu world from the man. Even if your family hadn't let you work towards a promotion, your rank was nothing to scoff at.
"When it comes to unburdening my wife, it's not really a matter of strength but, yes, of course." He smiled softly your way, lifting your bag so it didn't roll on the train's luxurious carpets. "I have no doubt in your ability, do believe me." He set the bags down then, maneuvering in the hall to turn off the lights. "But I can't say I wouldn't be pleased if you would let me do it for you.
--
An attendant took your bags when you made it to one of the restaurant cars. They had groups of workers bringing luggage to the resorts through a private service since early morning. It only took a reservation check to know where to deliver your bags.
You ate an early lunch with a small group of passengers before the Express had a private vehicle waiting to bring you both to the dock, where a large Merang Jetty boat awaited to carry you to the most beautiful location you had ever seen.
The voyage was comfortable with the way the breeze passed you by, and paired with the shining sun, you had never felt so alive. Every so often, puffs of sea spray would spritz and cool your face, making you laugh. Nanami had gone to the upper deck of the boat to bring you a beverage when suddenly another passenger came to greet you.
In all honesty, when you had boarded, you had thought he was one of the employees of the boat service. He had spent much of his time standing around the women serving the guests aboard, speaking loudly and waving his hands like he owned their attention.
He had a big grin on his face, and he stood awkwardly in front of you for a while. It made you quite nervous to have him silently staring. The boat was moving quickly, only a half-hour trip, and the man wobbled slightly with the movement of the waves beneath you.
He leaned over to grip a seat behind him. His brows were arched in a way that read as a concern. It felt strange to have him smiling so eerily before he spoke up, "Are you traveling alone?"
You wondered suddenly if he had been day drinking, what else could explain the volume of his speech? The joviality in his voice?
"Oh, no, I'm here with someone else." You smiled back. He seemed friendly enough. You weren't completely certain he wasn't just a worker welcoming guests; his eyes were already looking at other passengers, likely looking to strike up conversation once he was done with you.
The boat canted slightly, and he nearly lost his balance. You had a seat beside you that was open, but something told you not to offer it up. You instantly felt ashamed and guilty at the notion. "Are you alright? Why don't you sit?"
He tucked himself between a wall and the top of the seat to your right. He leaned down far, not sitting, but intruding on your space all the same. "Well, aren't you a sweet thing?" You squint, trying for an appreciative smile but not quite being able to, "Is this your first time in Malaysia? Where are you from?"
You turn away from him and wonder if Kento was stuck speaking to the bartender. "Um... yes, I've never-"
You jump slightly when he smacks a boisterous hand on the seat beside you. "Exciting! It's a great place, really, nice broads." He leans in close again, and you grip the edge of your chair so as not to pull away. "They love foreign guys, it's all super easy over here."
He laughs like he's said something funny, and you purse your lips. Some of the attendants from earlier seem to be making their way toward you, a tight smile on their faces. Before they reach you, though, the man is tugged back. You feel as though you can breathe again,
Nanami seemed to have returned, and in an incredibly swift motion, he redirected the man to face him. "Careful." Kento's face was polite as ever, but you had never heard his voice so deep, "We're being asked to find our seats."
The man didn't seem to be put off by it at all, patting the hand Nanami had on his shoulder. "Ah, thanks, man."
Kento wiped the touch off on his shorts and nodded with a curt, "Of course." Before facing you.
"What was that?" He was speaking much softer, and his sweetness warmed you. He narrowed his eyes in that way he does when he's trying to read your mind, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." You suddenly have an urge, and you act on it. Patting his arm as if you were petting a cat. A jitter rolls up his spine like the waves lapping at the sides of the boat. He looked down at your hand, completely distracted. Maybe the mist made him cold?
And what on earth had compelled you to do that?
He was still looking at your hand when you pulled away, shaking your head. You laughed it off, "I think he just wanted to talk to somebody."
Nanami made a 'hmm' sound and reached across you to retrieve the drink he had set aside when he saw the man so near to you. Silently, he decided not to leave you alone again, even in such a small space.
--
When you dock, it doesn't take long for staff to come and point you in the right direction. Some guests, already stripped down to swimming attire, make their way to a more crowded area of the beach. There are booths of people braiding hair, making drinks, and offering fruit.
The attendants of the ferry had handed out brochures depicting "The Blue Tears," a breathtaking bioluminescent glow of the beach. You knew immediately that this was something you wanted. You could only hope you would be lucky enough to catch sight of the natural phenomenon.
You are informed that your bags have already been checked to the hotel and that your rooms will be ready by evening. Soon after learning this, Nanami offers to take you around the island. And while you know that you would want to at some point, you could cover the whole thing by foot- you knew he was wanting to go to the ocean.
Kento was already dressed in a loose button-up and a pair of shorts that you realize might be swim trunks.
Your anxiety is turned up a notch, ceaseless thoughts consume your mind when you think about shedding some layers. The two of you pass by live music, stands offering food, and an elderly lady selling jewelry.
Kento has asked you suddenly how well you can swim, and you have to force your eyes off of his nimble fingers unbuttoning his shirt and try to assure him of your ability.
You recall that Nanami had, in fact, witnessed you (even for just a moment) in some pretty raunchy lingerie; even so, you want to keep a loose cloth coverup over your black one-piece. Only throwing it away from yourself when your husband turns from you to walk into the ocean.
He was respectful enough to mind his gaze, but it was not so simple for you. The man was built in a dreadfully distracting way. The saltwater sliding down the tanned skin of his back brought wholly unwelcome thoughts of licking him clean, and at the notion, you dove headfirst to clear your mind.
Good Lord, what is wrong with you?
You watch him when you resurface, allowing the cool water to encapsulate your body, the necklace you wore tickles your clavicle with the motion of the tide. The water was so clear, everything was beautiful, and it was all so distracting that your brain was quiet, devoid of anxious thoughts for the first time in years.
A pair of teens splash each other, not too far off from you, their laughs are infectious, and you spin around to take in the image before you, wanting to commemorate it. You feel even better than you had at Lake Biwa with your classmates.
Kento came in close, and you shared meaningless conversations that had no reason to be as funny as the two of you found them. He seemed to monitor the distance from the beach every so often before leaning back and letting the sun warm his face.
Swimming was more tiring than you recalled it being, but nothing could have prepared you for the delight of the moment. The two of you floated on your backs, the water kissing your cheeks repeatedly.
--
Time falls away from you. The two of you swam all evening, and at some points, you would wade closer to the beach so you didn't have to swim as hard. You had a blast, and when you finally extricated yourself from the water, the two of you ate all kinds of foods from the nearby stands. Even after sunset, the beach was still comfortably warm despite the chill of the wind.
In the light of the lanterns, you feel more comfortable in yourself, just wrapping the cloth over your shoulders. And standing there, eating some kind of meat on a stick, soaking wet, and flushed from exertion, Kento smiles and whispers something. It takes you a moment too long to understand what he had said. He was already moving on.
"I hope you know how lovely you are."
You feel as though you have never left the ocean, still floating there with him an arm's width away. You probably looked ridiculous, what with your wet hair, sandy feet, and satay on your fingers? You use the back of your hand to wipe at your mouth and laugh at him.
Kento walks a few paces before you, shaking his head while you call him insane. The people you pass while trying different foods tell you to come out tomorrow night to see the bioluminescent hues. How lucky you felt in that moment, Nanami seemed just as thrilled as you were.
When you were younger and training so regularly, your stamina had never been an issue, but after eating, the weight of your exhaustion hits you. It had been a long time since you strained every muscle. You feel slightly annoyed that Nanami was not even remotely out of breath.
He was carrying both of your shoes, and your linen overalls hung on his arm. You knew that you would sleep well tonight after a shower, though a new side of this man might just keep you up. Thinking about just how broad his shoulders were, just how earnest he had looked when he called you lovely.
He must have been teasing, you know that, you very well could have had peanut sauce on your face when he said it, but it caused your heart to speed up nonetheless.
You bring a hand to your warm cheek, feeling the heat present despite the cool air on your damp skin. You huff a breath as you walk up the steps to the hotel you were staying at.
You wait in the foyer while Nanami gets your cards. He had insisted on allowing you to rest for a moment after he chuckled hearing how out of breath you were.
After taking a seat, you're embarrassed to realize that standing up from the position you were in might take a great deal of effort. Perhaps you had overdone it.
You were too distracted by the haze in your head to notice the familiar man making his way toward you. It didn't take long to recognize him, though. All loudness and indecency.
He laughs, making some comment of surprise to see you as if you had been more than brief, unfortunate acquaintances. "Funny seeing you here, hmm?" He wiggles his eyebrows at you in a very odd fashion. It was clear he felt closer to you than you felt to him.
"You're not following me, are ya, sweetheart?" The slight dampness on the back of your thighs from the salty ocean clings uncomfortably to the chair below you, and when the man leans in to touch the side of your face, you feel as though it is what keeps you frozen in place.
Just as you begin to shake your head away from his intruding hand, he pulls it back, still leaning all the closer. He smells of alcohol and laughs right by your ear, suddenly speaking lowly, "No, surely not...you keep out of trouble, doncha?"
You motion for him to move, a gentle, "excuse me." chokes from your mouth, your eyes attempt to find Kento, but the lounge blocks the welcome desk.
The man suddenly grabs at your arm and in an intoxicated motion, rubs it against his chest and belly. His shirt is unbuttoned and the feel of his skin makes you sick. You try to drag your hand away from him, not caring for niceties anymore, but he's closer than ever, and his breath puffs against your face when he talks, "No, you're a good girl, aren't you."
You're nauseous, your heart is pounding, and for some reason, you can't seem to call on your cursed energy. It's not even the exhaustion in your bones; you're having some kind of mental block. He seems to quite like touching himself with your unwilling limb, but once your hand starts to be brought lower, you jerk your hand free. A frightened "Stop it!" leaves you as you bring the arm to your own chest.
You've forced yourself to your feet, hoping he will take a step (or thirty) back, but he seems insulted by the action. Brows furrowing as if your apparent repulsion is incomprehensible.
He's got his hands on you in an instant, he's shoving your shoulders down, forcing you to sit once again. He's doing a strange shuffling motion on his feet, perhaps not having thought his actions though, and then, only a horrible moment later, it's as if he's climbing on top of you.
You hesitate to shove him off, for some reason, putting your hands back where they had just been forced feels jarring but thankfully, you don't have to.
In one starting motion, the drunk man goes from breathing on your neck, knee almost on your lap, to being completely knocked to the floor, prone on his back, his head cracking loudly on the marble floor.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Kento is shaking above him, having just yanked the man off of you, he doesn't waste a moment helping you out of the seat. He removes himself from you instantly, his eyes almost seem to jitter with how quickly he is taking you in.
You realize that he is trying to see if his touch has frightened you, but you're not backing away from him, you find his wrist, and stare, "I'm fine...I'm fine." You're shaking your head, it's like ice-cold water has been doused on you, and you're filled with sickening shame.
You were fine; he had hardly done anything to you, so why did you feel so overwhelmed? Why was your pulse rocketing in your ears? Why were you breathing so loudly?
Nanami extricated you from the scene with speed, in an attempt to not make too much of a scene for your sake, he controlled his tone when speaking to the staff who had come running at his shout. Informing them that they better get that man away from him before he did something unsightly. Something he wouldn't regret.
You find yourself patting his arm, telling him it's okay. You're so embarrassed that you had reacted in such a way, that there were so many people involved now, that it had even happened in the first place.
You massage your neck, a strange laugh escaping you. One of the attendants from the front desk brought you a robe and you try to turn the gesture away, but Kento takes it, and with incredible attentiveness, wraps you up. He holds the sides of the fabric, looking at you directly. It doesn't take long for the hotel manager to come and personally escort you to your room.
Time seems to move so slowly, you force yourself to keep up as he leads you down a nearby hallway. Kento has a hand on the small of your back, he's watching you closely, and you try to force yourself to focus.
You bite your cheek, and the hall tilts. Nanami keeps you from cantering to the side, but you have realized too late what exactly is happening.
It's been a while since something like this has happened, but from the exertion of the day, and moving so suddenly, you feel as though your blood pressure has dropped. Your vision pulses in and out of focus.
By all accounts, you do try your best to make it to the hotel room, but every step you take to follow, you become more discouraged by the distance. Nanami says your name, you hear it and you know there's nothing you can do.
You try to pull away from your husband to lean against the wall, but he misinterprets your action, holding you tighter, and before you can attempt to fall to a sitting position, you have lost all range of motion.
Consciousness leaves you.
--
Nanami had already been worried by your state when he began leading you after the hotel attendant, but the moment he noticed your breathing change, he surged with panic.
He followed you to the floor, gently laying your head on the carpet. He did not recognize his own voice calling for help. His heart is in overdrive, and he doesn't know what to do. Had you fainted from shock? Were you unwell?
He thought back to how flushed you had been when he had told you to rest a moment while collecting the key cards. Had you been feeling unwell since even then? Why hadn't you told him?
Thankfully it didn't take long for you to groan from your position on the floor. Nanami kept calling out your name like a mantra. The hotel manager had used a walky-talky to call for help, but you were already trying to sit up before anyone arrived.
Earlier, Kento had been so cautious, anxious that his touch would scare or upset you somehow. Now, he grabbed your cheeks in his hands, unable to control himself.
"What happened? Are you alright? Are you not feeling well?"
You silently encircle his wrist, leaning your face into his tender touch, "I'm okay, I'm sorry, I'm alright."
He squinted, shaking his head with furrowed brows, "You're sorry? Don't be sorry, what's happening?"
Someone turned the corner of the corridor, and they were in the very same uniform as the man on your left. He seemed concerned, sprinting to a kneel beside Nanami to feel your pulse, your forehead.
You tried to wave them off again, "I'm okay, I'm very sorry, I have anemia, I didn't think this would happen..."
The hotel attendant looked understanding, nodded, and asked if you needed anything, if they could do anything to be of service to you, but once again, you waved them off.
Nanami was looking at you closely; he was so focused on your face then, watching your every movement. He seemed almost upset.
You recall another angry face.
--
Years ago, something like this had happened, you had been training in the dojo at the family estate, everything seemed normal, you had been sleeping and eating well, and yet after one flailing movement, you had found yourself sightless, lying on the tatami mats.
When you had awoken, the family doctor was there, informing your father of this condition, he said that it was improper for women to be pushing their bodies in the way you had been, that such distress on such a weak form could affect fertility, could lead to weak stock, to hysteria common amongst women.
You didn't train after that.
--
You really were alright, that's the embarrassing part. You were quite sure you would be able to comfortably make it to the room just fine but Kento was having none of your actions to brush him off.
The room spun again, not with vertigo, but with the action of him lifting you sturdily against his chest. He was breathing tightly, and every so often, he would murmur reassurances. He was still off kilter though.
He didn't know you were anemic.
He felt that it was rather important information to have on his wife and yet, here you were, trying to convince him to let you walk on your own.
He wonders why you hadn't said. Was it possible that you thought it wouldn't affect you? Could it be that you had your condition under control until now? Or, he suspected, his stomach churning, was it that the higher-ups thought he would not want you unless your condition was perfect? Had you hidden it from him on purpose?
Anemia wasn't uncommon, but he hadn't seen someone faint like this before. Nanami recalls suddenly the past he so desperately had wanted to pursue. The life away from Jujutsu he had thought would bring him freedom. He recalled the boss who had overworked him to sleeplessness. The deep discontentment he found himself in when he lived to serve those around him.
In that moment, holding you closely to his chest, he wondered if that had been how you felt. If you had been trapped there, the same way he had been. Only now, with your body tucked into him, he wondered, was that your norm?
He couldn't let that happen.
The two men from before brought Nanami to the reserved room, and they opened the door for you both, asking repeatedly if you needed hot chocolate or a cold compress. You seemed more cognizant, turning them down. Your luggage was just beside the door, you realize.
Before you could turn them away again, the hotel manager pointed out some beverages and salty snacks on the table. Kento thanked them, and after the workers had turned to leave, he set you down on the desk that was in the main entrance of the room.
He murmuerd something about wanting to lay you down, that perhaps he should have your knees above your head, but his main priority was trying to keep you from jumping off the counter to prove you were really quite well.
So much embarrassment riddled your brain, and Nanami was too sweet to be anything but needlessly worried.
He bent his knees to look at you closely. Ignoring your words of assurance, he placed his palm gently on your forehead. He cracked open a water bottle, and you knew instantly that you were fine since your brain was quickly picking up on how tensely his muscles became when he tore the lid off.
You wanted to bite his arm.
Seriously, what is wrong with you?
He clutched your chin, watching you swallow the liquid, only satisfied once you set the bottle down yourself. He reached over to a small packet of peanuts in a basket amidst other treats laid out free of charge.
Ah, yes, you were just fine, you felt every stroke of his thumb on your thigh as he watched you eat away at the individual nuts. You found it funny, or maybe you were just laughing to ease your ruckus of a heartbeat.
Kento did not find it amusing; his brows were still tightly knit together, had pulled back after noticing how close he had become, and only once petted the back of your neck when you laughed at him.
You really just wanted to curb this deep-seated concern of his.
"You need to lie down." Before the man could pick you up himself, you swung your legs off the desk, he didn't exactly gasp, but he huffed a,
"Please don't do that..." Before you could promise again that you were right as rain. Cheeks flushed in explanations you didn't want to share. In silent prayers, he would leave this all alone and somehow forget this had ever happened.
He still walked you out of the foyer, only just barely passing by the archway that led into the bedroom, when your steps halted. Alerted almost instantly.
He looked down at you, palm gently rubbing your back, "Please. It's best for you to lie down, even if you really are feeling alright."
Your mouth opens and closes a few times, looking between your husband and the massive room before you, "It's...not that."
He follows your head a few times, "What's wrong?" He looks closely at your eyes, and you don't understand how he isn't getting it. He turns to face you completely, brows furrowing, hands encompassing your face. Perhaps he thought you were feeling weak again.
"Kento." You look distinctly from him to the scene through the doorway, drawing his hand from your face.
He slowly turns again, trying to understand your tenseness, it takes him a bit, silly man, before he stills. "Oh..." He straightens considerably, finally understanding.
It seems there was only one bed in your room.

Lando Norris and 6!
something about him is made for somebody like me | lando norris
song; the boy is mine - ariana grande
a/n: anon let me tell you right now your mind is immaculate because i had a fic based on this exact song about lando but i didn’t ended up posting it howeverrrr i always had the idea to do something like this and you just made it possible so thank you 😽
part of the spotify wrapped special
Tumblr media
You were never one for having many crushes. In fact, you could count on one hand the number of guys you’d liked, and you’d still have fingers left over. But Lando Norris? My God. You didn’t know what it was about him, but you were convinced you were destined to be together. He was made for you.
Of course, your feelings for Lando were your little secret. Outwardly, you had no intention of showing just how smitten you were. But back at your apartment at night, you’d consult your tarot cards, asking when the time would come for things to start falling into place. If your friends could see you, they would definitely be confused. Since when did you make such an effort for a guy? But they wouldn’t understand—Lando wasn’t just any guy.
Sometimes, it felt like your efforts paid off, like when Lando smiled at you in the paddock or greeted you casually.
“Hi, y/n,” he’d say, always with that mischievous grin that was so undeniably his.
He never skipped a greeting—not even on the days he had some model-of-the-month on his arm—but it never went further than that. So, you decided to take matters into your own hands.
It started innocently enough. You lit a candle for him and wrote letters, asking the universe to make him notice you the way you noticed him. Then, you began engaging him in casual conversations at the paddock before ignoring him for a couple of days, only to flash him a radiant smile as if nothing had happened. Not long after, Lando started bringing you fruit in the mornings to your workstation. You smiled to yourself—he’d never done that before.
One day, after a tough qualifying session that left him starting P11, you handed him a quartz crystal, saying it was for good luck. The next day, he won the race. Another time, you mentioned you’d light a candle for him, and he landed pole position. Lando started looking forward to your tokens or words of encouragement each weekend. And when you didn’t give him anything? Something always went wrong.
He began depending on you, convinced you were his good luck charm.
It wasn’t witchcraft, really. He was already a great driver—you just gave him a little boost of confidence, and he did the rest. But now, not a day went by when Lando didn’t scan the paddock for you as soon as he arrived. He began to miss you when you weren’t around. The endless stream of women in his Instagram DMs no longer mattered; the only woman who held his attention was you, and you always seemed preoccupied with everyone else but him.
It wasn’t just about luck anymore. Lando wanted to be around you all the time.
What was this feeling? And why did everything suddenly smell like vanilla and coconut?
Lando frowned when he finally spotted you, laughing with Oscar. Since when were you two friends? And why were you laughing so hard? There was no way the Australian was that funny, he thought. Jealousy coursed through his veins, and he had to restrain himself from dragging you to the most secluded corner of the paddock. Instead, he walked over to Oscar and casually informed him that Andrea was looking for him, leaving you and Lando alone.
“I was actually looking for you,” the Brit said, his expression serious.
You had to suppress a smile as you looked at him—furrowed brow, clenched fists, flushed cheeks. He was jealous. Another step in your plan was working perfectly.
“Well, you found me,” you replied innocently, flashing him a sweet smile.
Lando gave you a lopsided grin, studying you. You looked so soft and sweet—he wondered how you’d look in his bed. If only he knew.
“Nothing for good luck today?” he murmured. The air between you grew warmer, and you felt your cheeks flush under his intense, yearning gaze.
“I forgot to bring something,” you replied nonchalantly. “But I could draw some cards tonight if that would help you feel more confident.”
Lando shook his head, his eyes fixed on your lips.
“You and your witchy ways. They’re going to be the death of me,” he said, stepping closer until his face was just inches from yours.
“I’m not a witch,” you defended yourself, because you weren't. To your knowledge, at least.
The scent of vanilla and coconut flooded his senses, and he nearly groaned. Lately, he smelled it all the time. It took him a moment to realize it was just your perfume. Witch or not, Lando was utterly bewitched by you.
“Maybe something else?” he murmured, circling back to his earlier question. “Just a taste,” he said, his gaze dropping to your lips, and you knew exactly what he meant.
You hid your smile, realizing you now held all the cards.
“Let’s do something,” you began. “Get pole position, and then I’ll see you in my room.”
He actually whined.
“Give me something now—for luck,” he pleaded.
You shook your head.
“After what I’ll do, you’re going to become world champion.”
You winked at him and Lando smirked mischievously, while you concealed your darkest desires behind your sweetest smile. The boy was finally yours.

6 hours - lee chan
wc: 1.7k
summary: you’re mad at channie, and he’s trying soso hard to get ur attention
warnings: mentions of throwing up (it doesn’t happen, channie is a drama queen okay), fluff, cheol cameo, nothing else rlly!
an: the way i would literally get backshots from a horse if it meant i could get a bf as clingy and desperate as chan
(seungcheol’s pov here!)
───── ⋆⋅ ⊹ ⁺ 𐔌 ᩧ ຼ ͡ ৯ ♡໒⁀ ᩧຼ ꒱ིྀ ⁺ ⊹ ⋅⋆ ─────
it’s officially been six hours.
six hours since chan upset you, and six hours since you last spoke to him.
it may be petty, but waking up to go eat your leftover slice of cake (unhealthy, but so what?) and finding the container in the sink is not cool. not cool at all. so, being the petty one you are, you’ve essentially left your boyfriend on heard all day.
the morning started off great, waking up in his strong embrace and sharing a few kisses in bed. you even talked about your excitement for the chill day ahead of you, not even wanting to get up to use the bathroom. after he fell back asleep, that was when you decided to get up and finish your cake.
you didn’t even have to open the fridge to notice it was gone. as soon as you entered the kitchen, you saw the container sitting by itself in the sink, staring right at you. chan woke up when you left, leaving to go find you, however he regretted slightly when he saw what you were staring at. you turned to him, looking him up and down as he played with his fingers, guiltily staring at the floor. his expression really was too cute, looking like a sad puppy with his pouty lips, and it tempted you to let him off the hook, but something in you changed your mind. with a heavy sigh, you look him up and down before brushing past him and going back to sleep. he would be getting tortured today.
he’s wordlessly following you the whole time, and you walk with your eyes squeezed shut to avoid his extremely convincing puppy dog eyes. you and him both know that as soon as he gives you that look, you’re forgiving him. however, not this time! you really weren’t all that upset, but giving him the silent treatment for even thirty minutes gets him treating you like you’ll fly away if he doesn’t hold you close. for a whole day? you can only imagine what benefits you’ll reap.
after another few hours, you wake up once again. heading out to the kitchen, deciding that starving yourself is not the best way to spite someone, you go to look for something to eat.
this time, when you walk in the kitchen, the sink is cleared of any dishes. you’re grateful that he at least did that (even if he could’ve bought more cake) instead of.. doing whatever he was doing. likely sulking somewhere. however, as you get closer to the sink, you frown. yes, chan may have washed the dishes, but he left a bunch of crumbs at the bottom of the sink!
you turn around to look at him, and he’s staring right back at you from the living room. he’s looking at you with hopeful, glossy eyes, and before your facial expression can give away that you’ve already forgiven him you turn away. he doesn’t need to know yet. so, instead of scolding him and having him clean it himself like you usually do, you wipe it up yourself.
after finally feeding yourself, choosing not to eat the last of chan’s favorites, you retreat back to your room for another hour or two. he’s left you alone so far, aside from the dozen notifications of him liking your posts across every platform you own. he’s even commented on a few, and to be a little mean you liked one or two without replying. you and him both consider that basically being left on read.
after a few moments of relaxation, including you watching videos on your phone, it ends when your phone breaks out into a shrill ring. seungcheol’s contact photo fills the screen, and you already know what’s coming.
“hello?” his voice comes through the speaker.
“hi, cheol.” your sigh is heavy as you wait for him to finally relay whatever chan’s message is.
“hi. so, don’t shoot the messenger, but chan thinks it’s really important for you to know that, his words, if you don’t talk to him soon he’s going to throw up.” you hear his chuckle come through as he tries to relay the message seriously, but you know he’s already aware of his dramatics.
“oh… well, i hope he knows he can just throw up. because he knows what he did, and he has yet to address it.” you deadpan in a way that’s almost comical, expressing just how much you don’t care.
“well, you said it. trust me, i know damn well what kind of situation you’ve got him in, and i am not meddling. see you.”
“bye, seungcheol, sorry you’ve been caught up in his mess.”
“it’s fine.” he hangs up the phone, and you’re finally left alone again. you’ve made a mental note to tease your boyfriend later about how desperate he is, but for now you think you can hold out a little longer.
after speaking with seungcheol, the “cherry man” as you used to call him, you’re suddenly craving a jar of cherries. not the healthy ones, the ones you put on ice cream. you get up and return to the kitchen, pulling the jar out of the fridge. on the way you see chan, sitting in the exact same position you left him in, hugging a pillow as he stares through the tv. he’s really too cute, and you want to go over there so bad, but you remember how much happier your day would’ve started with your cake and decide he can wait a little longer.
as you go to open the jar of cherries, the lid is stuck. usually, you or chan will leave them a little loose for you to open them better, especially if he’s not there to help you open it. you look up, seeing him turned to you expectantly, and you sigh. you reach into the drawer with all the utensils and oven mitts, reaching for the silicone jar opener you had from before you and chan got together. you haven’t touched it a single time since you started dating, his pride being hurt by the idea of you using anything but him and his strength to open your jars and other containers. you take a fork and begin eating the cherries from the jar, pretending not to see his extremely crushed expression in your peripheral.
after finishing your snack, you return to your room once again, spending more time in solitude. you played music, watched a few episodes of your current drama, and even read a book. you were completely unbothered, and even forgot there was someone else in the house until there was a knock on your bedroom door.
calling him in, the door swings open and chan is standing there. he immediately sits on the foot of the bed, resting a hand over your blanket-covered legs.
“baby i know you’re upset but just please listen to me just this one time.” he looks at you apologetically, and when you don’t make a move to leave he scoots up to the top of the bed next to you and grabs your hand. “i’m really sorry i ate your cake. i just saw it in there by itself and i couldn’t help it.. but i’m really sorry!” he looks to you for a reaction before continuing
you lock your fingers with him. “go on, love.”
“i really hate it when you’re mad at me and i hate it even more when you don’t talk to me.. like i swear, i was gonna start throwing up. and maybe dying. but i bought you a new cake in case it makes it better!” his eyes are so big and glittery, and he’s got a hopeful gaze as he speaks.
you’re now sitting upright, scooting closer to him. “plus interest?”
he nods enthusiastically, getting off the bed and helping you out of the bedroom. “yes! plus interest! i got takeout too! come, i’ve already set it up.”
he leads you out to your dining table which he’s set with your new cake, larger than the size you had previously ordered it in, and your favorite takeout place already plated at yours and his seats. you turn to him, and he’s still got that timid look, gauging your reaction.
it’s then that you break completely, wrapping your arms around his waist and giving him more than enough kisses to make up for the entire day. “oh channie, you’re the sweetest. you didn’t have to do all that.”
he sits you down, then seats himself and pulls his chair so close to yours that your shoulders are touching. “but i did! i tried everything in the world to get your attention and it didn’t work, so i had to do this. and i saw what you ate today.. you know you can’t survive off of a bowl of cereal and cherries.” he rests his head on your shoulder, watching as you indulge in his apology meal.
“well, it was quick and one of the few things i could do by myself. i even opened the cherry jar, did you see?” you kiss the top of his head.
“yeah i did.. after you left i threw that thing out, by the way. because i’m here to do these things for you. and this is why you can’t be away from me! who’s gonna make sure you’re being healthy, huh? ’cause it’s clearly not you.” he sits up, popping his eyebrow while looking you up and down.
taking another bite of your food, you return the look. “don’t get too confident, lee chan, because i can go back to how we were twenty minutes ago.”
immediately he’s cuddling back into you, nuzzling his cheek into your shoulder. “please, please don’t do that to me again! i’ll actually cry. actually, i’ll just die. i can see the light just thinking about it.”
you pick his head up off your shoulder, holding his cheek in your hand while giving him a kiss to the other. “okay, you big baby, there’s no need for all that. just eat, okay? and then when we’re done we can make up for lost time, how’s that sound?”
immediately he shoots up, beginning to clear his plate with an alarming speed, eager to spend time with you. you can’t tell, but he’s hoping you mean that in multiple ways because he’s been so deprived of “you time” that he needs to be as close to you as possible. thus, the rest of your day bleeds into night with him spending it crawling under your skin.

Your first full day in Japan is spent at the Arashiyama bamboo forest, an hour’s train ride away from your hotel in Osaka. According to all of the research you did on the flight over, the best time to see the forest was sunrise, much to Lando’s dismay. While you were also a night owl like he was, Lando was apparently violently against getting up at such an early hour. It had taken you several attempts at 6 in the morning to get him up and out of bed, but eventually you had won.
Nearly twelve hours later, you and Lando tumble back through the doors of your hotel suite, utterly exhausted. The suite itself is huge with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a luxurious living room with widescreen tv and spacious veranda that looked out onto the city center. Lando had asked if you had wanted your own room, telling you that he wanted you to be comfortable and offered to pay for 2 singles instead.
You had considered the offer for about ten seconds before deciding that the current arrangement would work. Nothing in your gut was telling you that you wanted anything other than what had already been planned. The idea of having Lando sleeping so closely to you sent a delicious shiver up your spine even now.
Last night, about an hour after you had said goodnight and closed your door, ready for bed (alone), Lando had sent you a TikTok you could hear him laughing at through the shared wall. One text led to another and soon you were slipping beneath the sheets of Lando’s bed before switching on a movie. Nothing more had happened that night, except for you falling asleep cradled in Lando’s arms and Lando waking up in the middle of the night with you still wrapped around him.
That had been the real reason he hadn’t wanted to get up this morning, he was too content with where you were at.
But as he followed you through the door after walking what felt like seventy miles that day, he was glad that the had gone. The two of you had bonded on a deeper level, much deeper than Lando had ever thought possible. The connection between you two had sparked that night in February when he had slid into your DM’s but now? Now the connection was a wildfire.
Lando watches as you drop your bag and flop down onto the couch. The entire time you’d been together today it was like the rest of the world had ceased to exist. He couldn’t remember a time where he had laughed so hard and lost track of time like he had today. He felt so stupid for nearly blowing this back in February but as he joined you on the couch, instantly tugging you closer so he could touch you again, he was relieved the universe had decided to give him a second chance. It was wild to him, how well you two were getting on still. He wasn’t usually someone  who could spend this much uninterrupted time with another person, he normally craved his alone time but with you? It was like he had told Max the night before over text, with you, it was different.
And Lando knew from the outside looking in, this was moving so fast. No one knew that you had spend hours upon hours just talking, often falling asleep together on FaceTime, back in February. Not that it really mattered to him. If there was one lesson he had taken away from the 2024 season it was that he had to work on giving less of a fuck of what other people said and paying more attention to what those around him that mattered were saying.
And you mattered to him.
“I think we walked a million miles today.” You groan, kicking off your shoes before flexing your toes, the ache in the bottom of your instep creeping up your leg. Your calves were on fire from how many hills you had walked up and down in that forest today. The shots you and Lando had gotten had been 100% worth it though. You couldn’t wait to crack open your laptop later tonight and start editing for Pretty Little Lens. Posting them would have to wait, though. You never ever posted onto PLL before you left a location since your real account almost always detailed where you were and what you were doing and you didn’t want to run the risk of anyone connecting you to the account. You often mixed up locations too, posting places out of order or well after you’d left a location. PLL was how you made your money but you didn’t ever want to be the public face the account.
Lando reaches forward to pull your feet into his lap before pressing the pads of his thumbs deep into the arch of your foot.
“Oh my God.” You groan, head tipping back to rest on the back of the couch.
Lando chuckles softly before starting to work at the muscles of your feet with deeper strokes. You’re quiet while he massages the ache out of your feet, only making slight whimpering sounds every once in a while. Lando shifts in his seat at the sounds you’re making, hoping how hard he’s getting isn’t as obvious as he thinks it is. He can’t help it though, the sounds you’re making are downright erotic and if he didn’t know any better, he’d say you were teasing him on purpose.
Which of course, you were.
Several minutes pass in silence as Lando continues to work at your feed and up your calves before his phone starts to buzz in his pocket. With one hand still on your toes, he reaches for his phone. You crack an eye open to watch as he unlocks his phone and huffs a sigh.
“Fuck. I forgot a I have a team call in 5 minutes.” He looks up at you, apologies flickering in his eyes. “I’m sorry, this is a post race thing that we do every week and I can’t miss it. It shouldn’t take long though, we’ll be fine for dinner.”
You grin before swinging your feet out of his lap and onto the floor. “It’s okay.” You lean over before brushing your lips over the shell of his ear. “I need to take a shower before dinner anyway.”
Lando turns his head before catching your lips with his, pressing his mouth to yours before you can get away. You hum in surprise, caught off guard by the intensity of his kiss. You’re the one to deepen the kiss though, licking your way into his mouth when he doesn’t pull away quick enough. The temptation to climb into his lap is overwhelming but the buzzing of his phone pulls you back down to earth. Tipping your forehead against his, you grin. “I’ll stop distracting you now.”
“I don’t know,” Lando chuckles as he watches you stand, “The thought of you in the shower without me is more distracting than that kiss.”
Laughing, you shake your head before rounding the couch to head towards your bedroom. Dragging your fingers across his shoulders as you walk behind the couch, you enjoy the way Lando visibly shudders under your touch.
Lando watches over his shoulder as you walk down the hallway before he turns back to his phone to dial into the call. It was a routine call that Zak and Andrea held after every race weekend to debrief what went wrong and what they were going to be working on ahead of the next race. They were boring but necessary, especially since things got missed during the hustle and bustle of race weekends.
Lando listens in as Andrea and a few engineers run through the data from the race, discussing tire wear, the strategy that had worked and what they needed to work on for Japan, and the frustrating near-miss podium finish. As he listens and interjects bits of observations himself, he finds himself distracted. His gaze keeps drifting toward the hallway you’d disappeared down. The scent of your shampoo, a mix of citrus and something with a delicate floral scent, lingers in the air, completely distracting him.
He found himself rushing through his recap of the race when it was his turn to speak, eager to wrap things up. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the call wraps up and Lando was free to sign off. After a quick goodbye to the team, he sighs in relief, and tosses his phone onto the couch, the screen going dark.
Lando’s surprised to hear the shower still running but as he passes the room you had claimed yesterday, he found it totally empty. Confused, he spots the white skirt you’d been wearing that day discarded in a heap outside the door to his bedroom. Lando’s heart beat picks up as he follows the trail you had apparently left him. At the foot of his bed was the top you had worn that day, discarded along with a very thin, very skimpy, white and pink lace bra.
He nearly loses it when he sees the matching thong waiting for him at the doorway of the bathroom.
Sultry music floats out from your phone that’s propped up on the bathroom sink. The room was humid and fragrant, air heavy with the scent of your shampoo and body wash. Steam wraps itself around Lando as he takes a few cautious steps into the tiled bathroom. It was a large en suite deal, with his and hers sinks, a huge soaking tub, and a large glass enclosed shower tiled with black marble.
The rhythmic sound of the water mixed with the sultry music created an intoxicating atmosphere that has his heart pounding against his ribs. Lando’s breath catches when he finally spots you, your silhouette a hazy outline through the steam that clings to the glass of the shower door. He could make out the curve of your hip, the delicate line of your spine, the way the water cascaded down your body, rivulets of water doing their best win the race down your body.
He’d never been more jealous of water in his entire life.
Lando hesitates, leaning against the cool tile of the wall opposite the shower, a soft smile tugging at the corner of his lips. He decides to stay put, enjoying the view and the way his stomach was churning delightfully with anticipation.
“Are you lost, baby?” Lando teases, pitching his voice loud enough so you can hear him above the soft music and thrumming water.
You finally turn your head towards him, smirk on your lips, and Lando nearly sinks to his knees then and there. “I figured I’d try out your shower.” You rasp, voice husky with need. “Turns out, the acoustics are much better in here than in my shower.”
It takes every ounce of control that he’s honed over his racing career to keep from stripping off his clothes right then and there when his gaze catches the swell of your breast as you turn towards him. “The acousitcs are pretty good in here, aren’t they?” He agrees, crossing his arms over his chest as he watches you pick up the loofa that had been hanging from a hook inside the shower. “The view’s not half bad either.”
“It’s too bad your call took so long, you missed the warm up. ” You say, voice light and teasing as you squeeze the body wash bottle before lathering the loofah up.
Lando groans as you start in on your arms, lathering them up with he bubbles. You don’t look up but you can feel his eyes on you, a gentle caress that sends shivers down your spine and goosebumps erupting all over your skin.
“It that so?” He chuckles, moving to sit at the edge of the soaking tub that is on the opposite side of the shower. From here he can still see everything you’re doing to torture him but he can sit and enjoy the show. “Well, I’m here now. I’m sure I can catch up.”
The rasp in his voice has heat building in the pit of your belly, sparks of electricity traveling straight to that spot between your legs that is aching for Lando’s touch. You drag the loofah up your arms, up towards your neck before stretching out to show off the delicate line of your throat. “Or maybe,” You suggest, your voice dropping to a sultry whisper as you finally lift your eyes to his. “You should just watch.”
Lando watches, captivated, as your hands move, slow and deliberate, a silent suggestion at what could happen later tonight that sends a shiver down his spine. He could almost feel the the warmth of the water on his own skin, the scent of the body wash filling his senses.
“I’m never taking a work call while you’re around ever again.” He laughs, his gaze lingering on the curve of your ass as you turn around to wash the bubbles off in the scalding spray or the shower head. He watches as you continue washing, the drag of your hands over your body driving him absolutely mad. As he watched he imagined it was him running his hands up and down your slick body. He was torn between keeping his gaze on you to watch you drag your fingers down the line of your body or close his eyes and pretend it was him doing the touching.
All you do is smirk in response, enjoying the way Lando’s eyes have gone hazy with desire as he watches you. Your fingers trail down your torso, coasting over your ribcage and down towards the curve of your hip. You’d never been quite this bold before but something about how today had gone, how you’d been so comfortable all day in his presence had you so needy for him in a more physical way tonight.
Lando chokes on a strangled moan when your fingers continue down your body, teasing their way down towards the apex of your thighs. He wants nothing more than for your hands to be his, to be touching you the way you’re touching yourself but he’s also beyond satisfied watching the show taking place in front of him. You don’t break eye contact when your fingers dip in-between your things for the first time, swirling them around your already sensitive clit.
You can see the barely restrained control threatening to break from behind Lando’s eyes as you tilt your head back, biting on your bottom lip, while you continue to touch yourself, slipping a finger deeper inside you.
“Fuck.” Lando whispers, shifting as his own hand drifts unconsciously towards his cock that is achingly hard. “You know,” He manages to rasp out as a gasp tumbles from your lips when you slip a second finger between your slick folds. “I’m starting to think this shower is less about getting clean and more about torturing me.”
You chuckle, eyes darting from where you’d been watching him palm at his cock back up to his stormy expression. “Torture?” You ask. “Is that what you’d call this? I thought I was just giving you a nice little show.” The innocence in your tone betrays the fact that you’re minutes away from giving yourself a delightful orgasm right in front of Lando.
He watches as you continue to work your fingers between your legs, the way your head is thrown back driving him insane. “Torture is exactly what I would call watching you touch yourself like that when I can’t do a damn thing about it.”
“Well maybe next time you should wrap up your work call quicker.” You sass back before dragging your fingers back up your body. “But you’re going to have to wait,” You reach for the shower faucet before turning off the water. The quiet that settles over the room hangs heavy between you.
Stepping out of the shower, you reach for the towel that Lando holds up for you, the soft fabric clinging to your wet skin. You murmur a quiet thank you before reaching for another towel to dry your dripping hair. When you look over at him again, a shimmer of pleasure flutters over your skin. The way he’s looking at you, his eyes dark and intense, is something that you could see yourself getting addicting too.
And that feels dangerous.
Lando groans in response before leaning back against the cool tile, arms crossed over his chest and frown on his face.
“Impatient, are we?” You tease, a playful glint in your eyes.
He pushes himself off the wall, his movements confident and deliberate. “Extremely.” He murmurs, his voice husky. He closes the distance between you then, his eyes never leaving yours.
He reaches out, his fingers tracing your jaw. “You know,” Lando whispers, he breath warm against your lips. “I’ve been thinking of getting you back here so I could have you all to myself all day long.”
He brings his lips to yours, a tender kiss that quickly deepens into something darker, more intense. His tongue traces the seam of your mouth, silently requesting access. You open for him obediently, sighing against him as he begins the familiar exploration that you find yourself becoming addicted to. You tangle your fingers in his hair, pulling him closer so you can deepen the kiss this time. The world around you fades away, leaving one the feeling of his lips on yours, the taste of him, the intoxicating scent of his cologne filling your senses as you lose yourself in the way Lando touches you.
He pulls back slightly, his breath coming in ragged gasps. Your own chest heaves as you watch the way he watches you. “Fuck.” He whispers, his hands fisting at the white towel still tied around your body. “You have no idea how hard it was to stay out here just now.”
A shimmer of electricity zaps up your spine at the intensity of his gaze. “Now,” He murmurs, tone still husky. “Let’s get you ready for dinner. I’m starving.” He gives you a playful wink before turning towards the door. “But,” He adds before walking away, his voice trailing off behind him. “I’m going to be honest, I think I’m even hungrier for my dessert afterwards.”

Your First Fight
Headcanon 🫶 (Pls send more requests)
LUFFY + ZORO + SANJI + LAW + ACE + SABO
LUFFY
“I don’t get why you’re so mad at me,” he said as he watched you pace around the room. “Are you serious? I asked you to stay behind on the ship, because you know this island is known to be a common Navy stop! All I needed was to grab some herbs and plants for the garden and who do I see rocketing into the middle of the plaza?” You asked, knowing damn well who it was. “Me…” he replied softly. “Exactly! I asked you to stay behind and watch the ship with the others! Why can’t you do the simplest of tasks?” You yelled. “So what if I left? I got bored, and why are you trying to tell me what to do?! If you want me to remind you, I’m your captain! You listen to me!” He yelled back.
“Well it obviously doesn’t look like it, since you were hurling at max speed into a Navy base island without a care in the world! Grow up! I asked you to stay behind because we had others who needed to stock up on supplies, which means you had to stay behind and make sure we’re not discovered or the ship isn’t hijacked!” You yelled. “We would have been fine! We always escape, so why are you so mad at me?” He asked. “Just because it hasn’t happened doesn’t mean it won’t. Plus I asked you to do something and you just ignored it,” You replied. “Well if you want to boss people around so much, go find your own ship. Maybe you’ll be a better captain,” he said coldly as he walked out of the bedroom.
ZORO
“Hey stop!” You called out to your boyfriend. You were both currently lost… or he was lost, you knew where to go, but Zoro wasn’t listening. “Zoro, I told you a billion times that the ship is the other way,” you said. “I know where it is! You don’t need to babysit me, I’m not a little kid,” he sighed. “I’m not trying to,” you said. “Well it feels like it… like I can’t take a break,” he grumbled. “Ok… but why are you so upset? I’m just giving you dire-“ he cut you off. “Because you’re always doing this!” He shouted as he stopped and looked at you.
“Huh?” You asked. “You’re always… suffocating me. I can never have a moment to myself, ever since we started dating. It’s like you’re a leech and I can never get rid of you for 5 seconds,” he groaned. “Oh…” your voice cracked. “I didn’t m-mean…” you trailed off. “Wait… (Y/N), I didn’t mean all that. I’m just-“ you cut him off. “No… it’s fine, I understand… You just want some space…I’ll head back to the ship, I’ll see you there,” you said as you turned on your heels and ran towards the ship. “(Y/N)!” You heard as you continued to run off.
SANJI
You slowly approached your boyfriend, excited to help him with whatever he needs. “Hey!” You smiled. “Hi beautiful, how are you?” He smiled back. “I’m great, so what are we making today?” You asked. “Nami-swan asked if I could make her some fruit tarts so I’ll be preparing that for her,” he smiled. “Mind if I help? If you finish quickly we can go-“ he cut you off. “Sorry (Y/N), but I’d hate for this to be messed up. It’s better if I do it alone,” he explained.
“Oh… but I normally help you in the kitchen, why can’t I help you with this one?” You asked, confused. “To make sure it’s perfect for my Nami-swan! Plus, you still haven’t mastered certain techniques, and I’d hate for this treat to not be perfect for my beloved Nami,” he swooned. “Seriously?” You huffed. “I didn’t mean to offend you my love, I was just answering your question,” he replied as he began preparing the dessert. “Ok fine, I’ll get out of your way. Maybe your beloved Nami will come help you out in the future,” you said coldly and began walking out of the kitchen. “(Y/N)! Hey! Wait!” He called out, but you continued to your bedroom.
LAW
“(Y/N) you’ve been at that for the past 6 hours, it’s time to take a break,” Law said as he watched you continue to try to fix the electrical issue that’s been causing problems with the motor. “But I can’t just stop now… what if the motor stops when we’re trying to escape from someone?” You asked, feeling frustrated by the uncooperative wires. “Come on, maybe you need some fresh air. We’ve been ducked at this island for a whole day and you haven’t even looked outside to see it,” he sighed. “Well I’m sorry that I’m trying to fix your ship!” You huffed. “That’s fine, but you need a break,” he said.
“Well I don’t want a break, what I want to do is fix this stupid thing!” You groaned. “And I really don’t need someone breathing down my neck when I’m trying to do something!” You added. “I’m just trying to look out for you, but if you’re gonna act like this then I’m leaving,” he said softly and headed towards the exit. “Good, maybe I’ll finally be able to fix this,” you glared as he walked out.
ACE
“Come on babe, are you really still mad at me?” Ace asked as he followed you to your bedroom. “What makes you think that?” You asked as you tried to shut the door in his face, but he quickly stopped it and stepped in. “That’s why,” he frowned. “Just making sure to close the door behind me,” you said as you gave a tight smile. “Come on, what’s the big deal? I’m sorry I left without telling you,” he said as he tried to hold you. “You just don’t understand,” you huffed as you brushed off his embrace. “Then tell me,” he said as he sat on your bed.
“What if you died?” You said bluntly. “Well… that’s being optimistic…” Ace said awkwardly. “I’m serious, what if you died? You really left without me knowing, and sure you made it back safe, but what if next time you’re not so lucky? And I end up finding out my boyfriend died in the middle of the sea, and I couldn’t even say goodbye to him…” you said softly. “Ok, ok… well I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have left. Even though you know I’ll always be safe. So, forgive me now?” He smiled. “No, because you’re not taking me seriously!” You groaned. “Why are you still mad at me? I said, " I'm sorry, don’t worry so much!” He yelled back. “I worry because I love you, but if you’re so dense, then just get out! I don’t know why I even put up with you. When it obviously shows how little you care about my feelings!” You shouted as you pushed Ace out of your room. “Wait, (Y/N) I’m sorry! Let’s keep-“ but you cut his words off with the door.
SABO
“Sabo~” you cooed. “Yes (Y/N)?” He replied. “I’m bored, can you please put the book down for a second and let’s go walk around the island or grab something to eat?” You asked hopefully. “Not today, plus you know we’re not supposed to be venturing out when he has to be on duty,” he explained. “I know, but we both get and hour break from standing guard and you’ve been spending each break reading. Can’t we do something, the two of us? Together?” You added. “Why? We’re spending time together right now,” he rolled his eyes.
Your eyes fell to the floor, “Alright,” you said softly as you headed back to the base. “What’s wrong?” Sabo called out. “Nothing, just gonna head inside,” you replied. You heard footsteps behind you, “What’s wrong? Tell me,” he said as he grabbed your arm. “Sabo we’ve been here for 2 weeks and you don’t want to do any normal couple stuff with me? Not even for an hour?” You asked. “(Y/N) you know-“ you cut him off. “Yeah I know, I also know how hard it is to have a relationship in our positions, but that didn't stop you from asking me out… Plus… I’ve seen you go out with Koala on a few occasions, you didn’t seem to have an issue with the rules then,” you glared. He quickly released your arm. “Hold on, you’re misunderstanding that (Y/N). You know Koala and I-“ you cut him off once again. “I know, but it doesn't mean you’re off having fun with another girl. While your real girlfriend is stuck here watching you read a book,” you said softly before turning on your heels and heading back towards the base.

Masterlist : Part 1
Tumblr media
It started small…so small. You were Bruce and Selina's daughter. (Yes you are and today you are not some random woman child)
They all love you. Yes, yes they did. Dick takes you to the park sometimes to Bludhaven. Jason, despite being revived again, is cautious with you. Tim being the smarty pants he is actually teaches you how to do math! Damian? Oh Damian, he loves you.
But that all happened one night. At the age of 6 you notice your eyes color is different from both your parents. Bruce didn't notice yet, not even Selina did.
You know who did? Alfred did. How? Simple. He was preparing you to have a family dinner with the others. Of course you are excited. I mean…who wouldn't?
You were so excited you didn't notice the stairs. You trip down the stairs and say bye bye to your head.
As soon as you wake up, Alfred is there taking care of you while your parents and siblings fall asleep on the floor or couch.
That's when he noticed. His eyes widened. “Miss…your eyes? It's pink?”
You just stare at him wondering. When Bruce wakes up he notices your bright pink eyes. That's when it all went downhill.
Bruce and Selina fight all the time. With Bruce accusing her of cheating and her trying to defend your right. And then the next thing you knew.
Divorce paper was signed and Selina has moved out, returning to her work as Catwoman. You just stand there awkwardly. You guys are probably wondering how the family starts to neglect you.
It's because Bruce started it first. Everytime he looks at you. His eyes fill with betrayal. He started to drink and neglect his work as Batman. When he did become Batman oh boy. He doesn't have mercy on any of the villian.
The boys started to blame you little by little because everytime Bruce made eye contact with you. He felt despair. Those bright pink eyes. He looked back through your old picture and noticed something in your eyes. Each picture where you are. You have dark red eyes. From far it looks like black eyes but it turns out to be dark red. Crimson red like blood.
He never noticed your eye color but he clearly remembers that when you were born you had his hair and eye color so…what changed?
Then, one day after finishing your lunch alone. You hear your mother's voice. You quickly run to where the voice is. And there she is talking with Bruce and Alfred with all the boys assembled there. Then she presents a girl the same age as you. 6 years old. But with blue eyes. Bruce's eyes. You stared at them from afar.
Selina handed Bruce something and he looked shocked. He quickly kneels down and hugs the girl. After he finishes hugging her. He stood up and looked at the boys while smiling. You miss his smile.
“This here is your real sister. Y/n.” He announced. Dick takes the paper and scans the DNA test and damn…it is the same Bruce and Selina DNA that came out positive with the girl. (Something like that idk how to describe it but the DNA is positive about the girl being their daughter.)
You can feel your stomach twist. That's when you run to them. “Papa!” You called out to Bruce. All eyes turn to look at you. Even the girl did. You don't know why but you feel…scared as if you did something wrong. “Papa…” Selina just stares at you.
“Papa? Who is she?” Ask the girl. Jason looks at the little one and replies. “It's nothing she's the new maid Alfred hired to be your playmate. Alfred looks shocked too.
“But master? She–” Bruce raises his hand to signal Alfred to stop talking. “Just like Jason says. Since I can't really throw you out considering the outside is Gotham. Then I have no choice but to take you in. From now on you are no longer Y/n Wayne. I do not have a daughter with pink eyes. You may pick out another name for yourself.” just like that your little heart shattered.
Bruce turns to the other daughter. He picked her up. “But you my dear shall be Y/n Wayne the real Y/n Wayne” he smiled gently at her and Carried her to the living room. You just stared blankly at the place they once stood.
Alfred looks at you and leads you somewhere. “Mis– I mean uhm dear. I'll buy your outfit later, alright?” you just stare at him with betrayal in your eyes. You don't understand why Alfred treats you like this.
Everyday is like hell to you. Not only Bruce and the others openly spoil her. They seem to be abusing you mentally. Apparently this…daughter has some fear. Especially in the dark. Dick will always sleep with her. Sometimes she sleeps with Bruce and sometimes Damian reads her bedtime stories. While you?
You are trained to be the perfect maid for her. Your new name? Well it's [name] now.
(Pls use different name for Y/n and different name for [name])
Years passed by. You don't even remember how many scars you have on your back. One from when Damian was angry with the joker for trying to ‘almost’ kill his precious sister. He was training and you tried to earn his trust. Big mistake. He was so angry that he slash everything on his way. You were 7
While training with his katana he uses a blindfold. He didn't notice it was you and he ‘accidentally’ slash you from In front. Luckily Alfred was there to save you from bleeding too much. Damian never apologized.
Second scar was a burn mark.
You are tasked to bring some tea to Jason as he's tired. In the garage he was fixing his motorcycle. You once again try to earn his trust. Accidentally pick up a crowbar and drag it across the floor. He who heard it immediately went to his ‘survival’ mode.
He literally choke you and hold the teapot close to your left eyes and pour it down. Making you scream in pain. Luckily again Dick was on his way to the garage when he saw this. He quickly pushes Jason away and brings you to the hospital. Sadly the scar is permanent. Jason never apologized. You were 8
The third scar hurts you more. Apparently ‘y/n’ went missing and the family went crazy looking for her. At the same time you went missing too. Coincidence huh.
The kidnapper posted a video where they cut and stitched ‘y/n’ back up again to the batfamily. They all went crazy raiding that place looking for her. When they did. Bruce carries her still bleeding body to the manor. How many stitches does she have?
Let's count!
Both arms - 4 = 2 at each arms
Both legs - 2 = 1 each legs
Stomach - 3 = they cut and stitched back up
Back - 5 = same thing they did to the stomach.
Left chest - 1 = they cut open to see the ‘heart’ in a hurry they didn't stitch it properly.
Bruce was apologizing again and again to her. Key word = her.
Then Tim noticed someone standing at the front door. It's Selina and…y/n!!
Then he looked at the unconscious girl in Bruce's arms and he took off the blindfold and was shocked. It isn't their precious y/n it's you!! Bruce almost let you go but he kept a tight grip. His tears already stop and he takes you inside the manor. The rest of your recovery is tended by Alfred.
That's when Selina tells them she forgets to inform Bruce she's taking y/n for a mother- daughter outing.
You who are barely conscious could only let a tear fall down.
Present time
You are 15 now. Same age as y/n. You [name] l/n. You are forced to abandon your name to some wannabe you. Like it or not hey it's life.
“[name] go hang the laundry please I need to pick up the miss at school.
Your age : 15
Wannabe you : 15
Damian : 17
Tim : 19
Jason : 23
Dick : 26
Bruce : 46 (let's all just pretend okay?)
Selina : 46 (PRETEND OKAY!)
“Yes Alfred.” Being a maid wasn't on your bucket list when you were little but now…you can't complain cause Bruce truly treats you like a maid meaning…
Maid + salary + Wayne manor = a lot of money
So a win-win situation.
After Alfred picks her up from school. You were cooking lunch for them. Before suddenly you feel dizzy. So you quickly cook lunch and lay on the bed in the maid room.
That's when you feel the urge. The urge to bite into something. Your body feels warmer than usual. The next thing you knew you were biting your arm. Which is currently bleeding right now.
‘It hurts! It hurts but it's delicious!’ you think. Through your dizzy state. You didn't realize someone was knocking on your door. Alfred opens your door since you aren't answering.
It was dark. With the curtain closed. And you are not opening the light. He decided to open it. Once he did he saw how messy your room was. “[name] didn't I tell you to clean it up?” He looked around for you cause he clearly heard your voice. Before he could turn around something or someone pounced on him.

Sitting on the swings at the playground, all alone by yourself, while the sun just started setting down in the distance. You wonder why the playground is so empty today, no one is nowhere to be seen but does that matter to you right now? Your mother forgotten to come pick you up again, it's not like this is the first time.
It happens... everyday to be honest.
You understand that she's really busy with her job but that doesn't mean she... she can neglect you.
You understand that because of you, her husband left her, thinking that she cheated on him and you're the child of her and another man. You're still confident that your mother didn't cheat and maybe your father really just didn't wanted her or you anymore as all he ever cares for was your brother and big sister, both who are very successful in the acting industry.
Or simply maybe because... you look exactly like mother and father just doesn't want a child who doesn't resembles him in anything.
"Let's go home, (Y/N)."
You said to yourself as you got down from the swing and begin walking your 6 years old body back home.
--------------------------
Open the door to your house, which was not locked for some reason, you see your mother and some what familiar man sitting in front of her. {Just a guest}, you thought but as soon as you closed the front door, you feel someone lifted you up in a quick pace.
It was your mother and... she's crying?
"Oh my god, (Y/N)... where have you been, I've looked for you everywhere when the teacher said you left school early..!"
But you told her to pick you up at the playground nearby... maybe she just forgot, probably. She always forget things you told her anyway.
"Sorry for making you worried, mother."
She kiss you on the forehead before carry you to the couch where the man is sitting. After putting you down, she ask you if you can show him the birth mark you have on your right shoulder and you agreed.
"There, you see it now. I mean the DNA test is probably enough already but... (Y/N) is really our child, you know."
DNA test? Our child? What's going on even, you ask yourself as you adjust your clothes back to normal. The man then crouched down to your level and pat your head, he explains that he's your biological father and that he's here to fix some troubles between him and your mother. He carefully embrace you into a hug as he apologize for abandoning you and your mother these 6 years.
The hug ends as you stare at him, unfazed, completely devoid of emotions as you just nod lightly. Upon seeing your emotionless face, your father was put into a worried situation while your mother seems troubled.
"(Y/N) dear, you understand what your father said, right?" Your mother asked, you nod. "We going to move to your father's place tomorrow, okay?" You nod again.
"Alix, let's talk... for a bit more. (Y/N), can you go to your room to start packing your stuffs and get ready for dinner?"
You nod, carry your school bag upstairs, not even bother to look back at your parents.
"How long has (Y/N) been like that?" Alix, your father, ask in worried.
"Over a year ago... probably. I will take the fault as the reason why (Y/N) became like that, I've always been too busy and... I couldn't stop blaming them for our divorce and- I'm just being a really bad mother to them..."
"Dolores, dear. (Y/N) looks older than their age, I'm sure they will understand, I just hope that we can start making up to (Y/N) and give them a better life from now on together, alright?"
Dolores, your mother, nods while sobbing. She hate herself for being such a bad parent to you and ended up turning you into a wounded child who probably spent years all alone by yourself. Alix is no different, he also hopes to give you the best life he could now that he's reunited again with you and your mother.
--------------------------
Dinner tonight isn't just you and your mother but now having your father for the first time. It does feel a little weird for you having another person on the dining table. Usually it would just be you eating alone or occasionally your mother if she was home soon that day. You also noticed that they look at you more a lot while eating, you don't complain or say anything but kept it in mind.
Alix was lost in thoughts. Usually at this age, children will always be the talker at the dining table because they tend to share their experiences at school with their family but now, looking at you, just sitting there quietly eating like that, hurts him.
"So (Y/N)... do you have anything cool at school to share with us?"
That's the first time someone has asked you that, "We study the daily subjects and... that's it". You stare at them, waiting for the next question.
"So... how about your recess time with friends?"
"I don't have friends, mother. I'm a loner and you know that too, though."
After dinner, without no more conversations, you say good night to your parents and retrieve back to your room, wanting to sleep soon as tomorrow is the weekend and you will move to a new place with your mother.
"Will my siblings like me? Probably not, no one likes a loner, people in school always say that, aren't they."
