You ever listen to a song and imagine your favorite characters singing it. Not like an animation with the song in the bg but like straight up the characters singing and even playing some of the instruments themselves. And like you can hear their own voice singing and everything. Or is that just me
#ramblings#bc like ppl always talk abt how they imagine amvs or animatics abt their blorbos when they listen to music#but i don't think i've ever seen anyone talk abt. basically imagining a character covering a song#it doesn't necessarily have to fit the character or their story but like. if they'd like the song or if their voice could fit it#i do that with sonic a lot. and my ocs sometimes#idk if anyone else does it tho lol

'ello! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ Good luck with all requests! Including mine ;)
Can you write yandere concept for Lyney (genshin impact)?
Sure! I warn you, I stopped playing after Inazuma (My team sucked) so I am going based off analysis videos and scenes. I like his character, good story potential :)
Yandere! Lyney Concept
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Stalking, Manipulation, Overprotective/Possessive behavior, Threats, Blackmail, Isolation, Implied murder, Kidnapping, Drugging, Dubious/Forced relationship.
Magicians already are masters at deception.
But magicians who are spies?
They're the masters.
Lyney knows how to deceive and perform.
He cares for his loved ones and everyone knows him for his tricks.
He acts charismatic, romantic, and extroverted to the crowd.
But deep down he's always listening for new potential info.
Meeting Lyney for you was probably by chance.
Lyney lives for the stage and proves himself.
Him growing interested in an audience member could be a potential way to meet his obsession.
Lyney is slow to trust people, yet you manage to catch his eye.
You came to Fontaine to explore the sights.
That was your original intention to be in the region, simply a traveler passing through.
You meet Lyney at his show as he was performing with his sister, Lynette.
You should've been just another face in the crowd.
However, to Lyney, you were a constant distraction in his show.
Imagine if after the show, Lyney came up to you for a chat.
There's just something about you that's caught his eye.
Making him determined to find out what.
That's about how I imagine you meet.
He chats with you after the show, learning more about you.
While he keeps his guard and acts up... Lyney seems genuinely interested.
The magician naturally comes off as flirtatious when speaking to people.
Many describe him as romantic in his shows, making roses appear with a wink.
He's playful and often speaks with honeyed words.
Even if he just means to deceive.
Lyney's first encounter with you is originally to gain info or playfully flirt.
Yet as he leaves that encounter and you part ways...
He's left wanting more.
Lyney's true nature is often more secretive and mysterious than his typical persona.
He's part of the Fatui... skilled in stealth, blackmail, infiltration, and theft...
See where I'm going with this?
For someone who seems so extroverted and flirtatious... He's strategic.
Lyney may not look like it, yet I can see him as a dangerous yandere.
Everything about him is smoke and mirrors.
He could easily deceive his obsession and hide all of his yandere tendencies.
I wouldn't necessarily say he's bad in terms of violence though.
Lyney doesn't seem like the type to murder rivals.
No, I feel he prefers to use his mysterious charisma to his advantage.
As I said before, many of his Fatui jobs require stealth and espionage.
He can easily follow anyone, be that his obsession or someone he doesn't like close to them.
Like a cat, he stalks his prey (Fitting due to his genetics, I suppose).
As a spy he's quite skilled at gathering information.
If he wants to know so much more about you... It won't be that difficult to get what he wants.
Pretty soon, especially when he's obsessed, he'll know everything he can about you as his obsession.
Now... Lyney knows how to use blackmail.
He'd probably use it on his rivals more than his obsession though.
After all, what's a better way to remove someone from your obsession than threats?
Lyney would gather so much dirt on potential rivals just to have control over them.
Then they'd have to stay away from you... unless they want important info spread?
It would be such a shame if he had to leak some info that would ruin his rivals image in your eyes.
However, he'll keep quiet if they just stay away from you on their own.
In terms of blackmailing his obsession...
Lyney may keep important info about you tucked away for later
Especially if it's scandalous.
That way, if you try to leave him or refuse his confession?
He has you wrapped around his finger.
Infiltration and theft is self-explanatory.
Lyney could easily sneak into where you're staying to rummage around your belongings or watch you.
He's as quiet as a cat on the hunt, eyes on you at all times.
Lyney probably could easily steal from you by distracting you too.
He could distract you with a trick... just to steal a trinket for him to cherish later.
Lyney can easily mess with his obsession.
He's another subtle yandere, but that's expected of a Fatui spy.
You'd be too caught up in his charisma and tricks to notice him removing people around you.
While I said he'd most likely not murder and just manipulate...
Nothing's stopping him from marking someone for death.
After all, Arlecchino may be up for helping one of her children out.
Then it can be covered up.
Lyney is dangerous to you due to how deceptive he is.
It's impossible to know what's true with him.
The only thing true for him is his supposed love for you.
But even then, said love isn't love.
It's an obsession.
Due to his skills, I can see Lyney preparing to kidnap his beloved as a back up plan.
If he can't naturally charm you with roses and sweet affection... He has other means.
Lyney's patient.
He can wait for you to fall for him, to slowly cling to him once more people start leaving you.
Yet if that doesn't work... or you suspect him?
Maybe he needs to use that back up plan.
Perhaps Lyney has one more trick up his sleeve when it comes to you.
Maybe he invites you to Hotel Debord in order to have dinner with you.
He's all smiles as he sits with you, giving you a rose as if it's some date.
Then, with a slight of hand, he slips something into your meal... and you wake up somewhere unfamiliar.
Lyney doesn't mind fooling his beloved.
Fooling you is how he makes you his.
How could he feel guilty when he has you all to himself?
Once he has you locked away, all for himself in your own special room he had set up, nothing's stopping him from caressing your cheek
Nothing's stopping him from holding you close.
Nothing's stopping him from kissing your skin, purring sweet nothings in your ear...
Nothing but you, that is...
Yet with time, even that fight will fade...
No one can resist his charm for long.

in the romcom genre, the pairing gets a happy ending. no exceptions. romances that don't end with happy endings for the main pairing aren't considered romances by genre conventions. so, given that tim and oliver have been calling bucktommy a romcom... what's all this then? this is normally the place in the story where the couple just emerges from their honeymoon period to hit rock bottom. (see: the black moment). the characters hit a hurdle that seems insurmountable and then are forced to work through the issues keeping them apart to find their way back to one another. the third act breakup before the eventually happy ending. so... what's all this then? if i hadn't read the interviews i would've pegged this as the black moment, the temporary hurdle placed in the couple's way before they eventually work past it.
so where do they go from here? if this is actually not meant to last, i do think the breakup is going to leave a sour taste in some people's mouths even if B/T get back together. and they expressed wanting to get buck off the "hamster wheel" so just putting him in another string of not-meant-to-last relationships seems regressive. (i think having buck sleeping around could actually be interesting if handled well, but right now i don't know if i trust this writing staff with that sort of arc.)
also i will be honest and say, to me, it doesn't sound like lou is 100% absolutely not coming back. it feels like the door's been left ajar (which, they'd be dumb to completely slam it shut and cut off a potential avenue of stories just like that but still). and we should keep in mind that most of these journalists are B/E shippers first so there might be a slant baked into their interviews.
i just don't know where this is going now after being told by tim "this is a romcom" (thanks tim, you've broken genre rules if this is a permanent breakup) and that he wanted to get buck off the hamster wheel. i suppose they can pivot to buck taking what he learned into a new relationship but he's already done that after abby, after ali, after taylor, after natalia... it's just boring. if they didn't want buck to settle into being with tommy because they weren't sure how to write SLs for him that's a skill issue. they've written bathena just fine without constant relationship issues. they're happy and settled together but still have conflict that doesn't necessarily have to be relationship-related. they could've easily done that for bucktommy too. (kind of an aside, but it also feels like they don't really know what sort of SLs to give henren and madney.)
after going through the trouble to bring tommy back, set him up to fit in with the 118, stating that tommy being a firefighter/pilot could lead to his inclusion on calls, introduce and hint at backstory that tommy longs for family/belonging, only to never actually deliver on it... why?

Back in March when I was doing the BL Challenge (brought to us by the lovely @negrowhat), I mentioned in my post about Korn Theerapanyakul that it isn't often that we get an actual villain who isn't just a love rival in a BL. The presence of an antagonist in a story doesn't necessarily make them the villain and not every story calls for one either. That being said,
Jak is a villain.
I want to break down this shot because it tells us a lot about the dynamic at play and Jak's point of view.
There's a lot going on here. The first thing my eye is drawn to is the line between them (and how Mut is just slightly crossing it since he stepped into the lion's den). Once you see that, the differences between both sides of that line become more obvious.
Mahasamut is dressed in a dark cool color and he's in shadow but his face is catching the light. The flowers, fireplace, candles, and TV behind him feel warm and homey. Fitting for a cafe. On the other hand, Jak is dressed in a warm light color and he's sitting in the light but his face is in shadow. The windows behind him and his positioning makes it feel like he's sitting at a desk in a corner office in a high rise instead of a cafe.
I weirdly wish they'd shown us when they arrived at the table because I would bet you anything that Jak sat down first. He's the older one, he's relaxed, etc. It makes sense for him to have sat first which means he chose that specific seat and the only reason I mention it, and really the only reason it matters, is that it tells us how Jak sees himself in this situation.
He's sitting there in the light in his dad sweater telling Mahasamut about wanting to fulfill his role as Tongrak's father and that he's so sorry about his behavior in the past and wants to atone for it and it's all bullshit because look at this man's face.
It is completely shadowed, just like his intentions and his agenda whereas Mut's is completely in the light.
And the difference becomes even more stark once Jak tells Mut to break up with Tongrak.
Jak is spewing nothing but ill-intentioned bullshit and Mahasamut sees it for what it is and makes it clear that he isn't going to fall for it, which is why things devolve.
Now. Just so we can get it out of the way, yes, obviously Mut should not have agreed to that meeting. He shouldn't have engaged and should've put the baby in the car and driven in the opposite direction. I was screaming at my screen for him to do just that, as were many of us I'm sure. However, I have to point out that it is not inconsistent for him from a character writing standpoint to have agreed.
Lest we forget, he said this to Tongrak last week when he was explaining why he turned Prin down when she tried to buy him.
"But Leah the dad is so much worse how could he not see—!" I know. Trust me, I do.
I'm gonna put on my baseball uniform and go to bat for my man for a second though because I think part of the reason that he agreed to talk to Jak is that he vastly underestimated him. And to be completely fair to Mahasamut, I did, too.
If I had to guess, I would say that he was expecting to be dealing with someone cut from the same cloth as Prin. Maybe a little worse since he knows what Jak has done in the past but certainly nothing he couldn't handle. Mahasamut is not a reckless or a thoughtless man. I don't believe for a second he would've even walked in the building if he didn't feel confident that he could deal with Jak.
The problem is that Jak is very much not cut from the same cloth as Prin.
I noted in my expressions post that it looked like the only time Jak was actually feeling something was when he accepted Prin's offer to destroy Tongrak but that's not entirely accurate. Having gone back to watch his scenes, there's a second instance where genuine emotion peeks through.
There's such a cold rage in his expression when he reproaches Tongrak for choosing his mother and cutting ties with him. And make no mistake, he's not angry because he loves his son. We already know that he doesn't. He's angry because in his eyes, he lost to a woman he felt nothing but disdain for.
If Tongrak and Kwan had chosen Jak over their mother, do you think Jak would be out here causing problems? No, he would've flat out ignored them. He wouldn't bother keeping such close tabs on Rak and his relationships because he would've already won and if he's doing it now, it's because he wants to win.
This is a game to him. This is fun for him.
His son is terrified and begging him not to hurt an innocent little girl and a young man and Jak's response is, "Don't be greedy."
He tries to force his son to choose which one of the people he loves most in this world gets to be safe but the choice isn't really a choice. He says he'll choose for Rak and he already has. Jak had already had Mahasamut beaten by the time he comes to see Tongrak and we know that because Mut's injuries have been treated when Rak gets home and Vivi is already there.
Matter of fact, the only reason Jak is even here talking to his son is because his attempt to convince Mut to leave has failed and he knows that going to Rak won't fail. He knows his son is afraid of him and he knows he can use that fear to get what he wants, which is why he brings up the uncle doctor.
Although we've gotten little of Jak so far, it's safe to assume that he is not a man who makes empty threats. Tongrak knows this, too, which is why he becomes so panicked when the doctor is brought up. We as the audience don't know who this doctor is but we can surmise from Tongrak's expression that he's important enough to be used as a weapon by Jak.
Until this point I don't think Tongrak realized that his father had anything to do with whatever happened to this doctor, he looks genuinely surprised. But all Jak had to do to prove how serious he is about his threat is mention the man. That's all he does. Rak puts the pieces together himself.
And here is where I bring up next week.
If you can look at this man's face as he rips the contract and think for a moment that he's going to try to push Mahasamut away for some flimsy petty reason, I am here to tell you that you are dead wrong. If I so much as SEE the words 'noble idiocy' I'm going to kick off.
Because we know that by the time Tongrak picks up this contract to rip it, Mahasamut has already been beaten twice and that Jak made a barely veiled threat to have him killed. Rak is rightfully terrified of his father and afraid for his boyfriend's life and wanting to keep Mut safe and ALIVE is not noble idiocy.
Now is it going to work? Smart money says no, wild horses couldn't drag Mahasamut away. He loves Rak too much to take any threats lying down. But as much as I understand why Mut talked to Jak, I understand why Rak wants to keep him safe even more.
Jak didn't accept Prin's offer because he wanted to help her. He doesn't give a single shit about her agenda except to mock her for it. He agreed to destroy his son because he wants to, because doing so will allow him to win and get back at his ex-wife. The money is just a bonus.
Jak is a Villain.
#rewatching jak's scenes does not get any less brutal fyi#there are only two reasons why something is hard to watch:#because it's done poorly or because it's done well#and this was done very well#love sea#love sea the series#meta#conversations with leah

It's incredibly frustrating and exhausting to have to question every piece of media that passes your screen as to whether or not it was made with generative ai. I don't like that I can't trust people not to use the literal theft machine for their projects. Especially when it comes to indies.
Like, so there's a new indie horror game called Zoochosis, right? I have no stakes in Zoochosis, a game about a zookeeper that's trying to stop the spread of a mutation with the animals isn't really my speed. But I'd heard of the people who made it before, and I wanted to see if they'd grown. The devs behind it are also responsible for another game, Sparky Marky, which used ai voices, much to my frustration. I tuned into a stream today where someone was playing it, and after hearing a little bit of the dialogue from Doc, I asked if they'd hired actual voice actors. The streamer seemed unconvinced that they had. So I immediately turned it off and decided to go hunting instead, because I needed to know if real people voiced in Zoochosis. I needed to know if this dev team learned anything from their last experience.
Thankfully, there are credits for the voice actors of this game, but they're very far down, which is a little disappointing. The common threads between them is that most of them have a Fiverr page, so I imagine they were hired through there, but I can't confirm that. Frankly I don't love Fiverr given they are also run rampant with generative ai right now, it's not inspiring confidence. But a number of these voice actors have full on websites for their voice work that seem pretty legit to me. In the case of Doc's voice, Tim Stephenson, most of his work is in commercial voice over, not character voice acting, so that explains some of what I was hearing. Commercial VO and character acting for games, shows, etc. are different skills with different needs. Just because someone can do one very well doesn't necessarily mean they're perfectly equipped to do both, especially when I didn't see credits for a voice director here. Without a director, you're recording remotely and going off of your instincts, and while many actors can have great instinct for performing, getting a performance that fits the vision of the project still requires some communication.
I think it's too soon to tell if these actors were actually paid for voice acting, of if these are ai voices synthesized from their likeness. The game is so new that it hasn't shown up on their imdb credits or personal website credits yet, and until it does, I'm gonna be a little skeptical. At the same time, there are many explanations for why the voice acting sounded off. The dev team behind Zoochosis has a lot of names that lead me to believe they may not be native English speakers (and I'm fairly certain I've heard that from others too). Writing and editing dialogue for a game in a language you don't speak is NOT EASY! That's a big ask, and if that's what's happening here, then I'd actually be very impressed by the quality of what I'd heard. It's just...frustrating. I expect this from big corporations and companies, but Zoochosis is an indie game. The folks over at Clapperheads are a small team making this thing real. And I'm troubled by the idea of an indie team, something built on passion and a desire for creative freedom, using generative ai. They're not the only ones to do so. Pastra, a YouTuber who loves indie horror, has started a series of videos that play into this found footage/news broadcast horror story, and for part of it, they used ai generated images of photographs of children to represent the victims of the monster. And they defended this by saying that it was better to use these generated images of children than actual real children. And I'm just sitting here confused by that. Because like, the model that that generative ai is trained on is using stolen images of real children to make those fake photos. So not only does it fall under using a child's image without consent, but you don't even know what children you've stolen the visage from. That is not a good look. The same goes for Indigo Park. AI was used for the opening footage of Issac Indigo introducing the park, and that's part of why his facial movements are so janky. Mason from UniqueGeese at least apologized and said he'd do better next time, but like...the chapter 1 revamp came out and that wasn't changed.
It's small stuff and big stuff, but either way, it's not okay. Until generative ai is trained only on data that is given to its developers consensually, it is not a viable tool for creation. It's not ready to be tested until the ethics part is worked out, and even then, I don't think I'd ever want to touch it. Like I get it, game development is hard, and in the indie scene, it's hard to make it all come together. But also, I expect a project built on passion to at least TRY to be creative in its solutions, and for the people making it to know better than to use stolen content. I expect better. Maybe I'm wrong for expecting better. But I expect better.
I'm just...disappointed. It makes me feel like I can't touch anything in modern media. Like I may as well go back and only play games, watch shows/movies, and explore stories made before 2023. At least then I can trust that it was probably done without the use of the theft machine. That's such a hopeless thing, giving up on modern art and all the potential it comes with. I don't want to give up on art. I don't want to give up on people telling meaningful stories in modern times. Please, humans, keep making art with your own two hands. Please give me something to be hopeful for.

It's kinda sad that we don't get a yandere character. Like, I mean, some would make great yanderes (or almost all of them), but for now it feels like barely a tease. Like, I expected subaru to be the yandere-ish one (like kylar from dol), but it ended up being bait and switch.
Yes, I know Towa is right there, but his is more like being the big boss around, there's no stalking and unhealthy obsession.
(IT SENT THE FIRST ONE ANON DON'T WORRY 👍🏾 not spammy at all, I've been on tumblr long enough to know how it is.)
It is but since it's a joseimuke it's not really like. . .a romance focused game/story? So a character who's romantically obsessed with the player might be too idk derailing? So I understand why they wouldn't have one--on the other hand, A3! has Masumi who's kinda yandere afair(may have been toned down? It's been years since i was into a3 and my memory isn't good so) so it's not like it's impossible.
(and obvs it works for DoL because 1. Kylar is dismissable and heavily ignorable and doesn't have a ton of impact as far as main story goes atm, 2. There's a ton of other stuff going on in DoL that a character who's obsessed with you is kind of the least of your worries and wouldn't necessarily do much to impact the plot or setting or the character's mission of survival. The story in TDB is linear, so to actually give a yandere any impact they'd have to be present a fair amount more, at least from my perspective. Then again they could be like. A background yandere, obsessing and collecting information from the shadows and it only comes up the rare times they show up at all, but. . .I dunno.)
I definitely agree a yandere would be nice if only because it's one of my favorite character tropes haha but maybe later on in the story? It's still really early, everyone and the dynamics and the worldbuilding and the relationships and such are still getting introduced, so there's still time for things to develop--and for additional characters to be introduced! (The previously missing Dionysia students are still alive for example! We'll probably meet them at some point.) Never hurts to have a little buildup!
I will note that one of Subaru's expressions is labeled "yandere".
(none of his homescreen dialogues use this expression and the way the actual scenes are coded is different so I can't view expressions in scenes to try and remember if this expression was used anywhere in game haha) it doesn't feel very yandere but it's important to consider that yandere characters are characters whose love is unhealthy and obsessive, not necessarily characters who are stalkerish or violent in their behavior. He actually looks a little regretful to me, as if his unhealthy attachment is something he's aware is bad and he feels stressed out by it--which fits his character, if he does turn out to be yandere in some way, that it'd bother him. It'd also fit with his affinity line about not trying to seem like he's testing you and worrying he's being weird. . .because he knows his internal feelings are quite weird. He's always bottling things up, so he restrains all the yandere lol.
And Towa has some yandere energy, but it's more directed towards Haru than the player lol. He does straight up try and poison Ren with flowers after all. As far as we know he's not obsessive towards him though, so it's just a vibe. You're right in that he is, by his own admission, the boss from his own perspective, especially when it comes to anomalies. He's kind of like if the ~domineering ceo~ type was full of whimsy and silliness lolol.

An In-Depth Analysis of Neuvillette's Character Stories and how they tie into my headcanons
I posted part of this on twitter yesterday because some fellow neuvifuri enjoyers were asking me to write a Neuvillette character analysis, so I'm posting it here, too. And I realized I never actually explained why I believe the things I believe about Neuvillette, so I'll be doing that here as well.
This analysis is divided into three parts— Foundation, Gender Identity, and Dissociative Identity. The "Foundation" section is the basis for all of my headcanons for Neuvillette.
⟡ Foundation
Neuvillette’s character is essentially a story about being freed, which is a parallel to Furina’s story. Though, instead of being freed from a burden put onto them by others, Neuvillette’s story is about finally being freed from a burden placed upon themself, by themself.
It’s the symbolism of external conflict vs. internal conflict that makes Furina and Neuvillette's relationship so interesting.
Neuvillette is a very strong person, having been able to be completely impartial and separated from society for their entire life. Something that’s mentioned a lot in their character information is that they’ve always felt like an outsider around others.
They felt like they had to “act as a normal human,” which prevented them from being unequivocally themself.
But after the events of Masquerade of the Guilty, there was no longer a need to be so closed-off. The worst had already happened, and there was nothing left except to pick up the fragmented pieces of what they once had, and put them back together.
Despite regaining the full extent of their Dragon Sovereign's powers, Neuvillette was left having become even more human than they were before. Just as Furina became fully human with Focalors’ sacrifice, it could be argued that Neuvillette did, too (metaphorically).
There is no longer a need for Neuvillette to pretend. Now they are free to exist, in whichever way they choose.
⟡ Gender Identity
Neuvillette is not human, despite how human they seem. They are in essence a Hydro Dragon, and given what we know about dragons in Genshin (re: Zhongli, the genderfluid shapeshifter) and what we know about the Archons (inherently genderless), we can assume Neuvillette is also inherently genderless.
And the truth of the matter is that they take the form of a man, so we can assume they've done that by choice, i.e., pretending to be a "normal human", or what a normal human looks like in their eyes. And if they have dysphoria with how they look (which is not necessarily a trans thing in this case, dysphoria can also be dissociative), they would want to assume the role that would alleviate it. Therefore, Neuvillette = transmasc. I need to be clear about that.
So, after regaining their powers, and feeling the weight lifted off their shoulders, it would make sense that they'd stop caring about looking like a "normal human" as much, and assume their naturally genderless stance.
⟡ Dissociative Identity
These excerpts all have one thing in common: incongruence.
Definition (in psychology): "Incongruence is when there is a misalignment and not a balance or overlap between the real self and the ideal self." (link)
Neuvillette's struggle with incongruence can be interpreted as Neuvillette themself, the alter, being Neuvillette's mind's manifestation of what a "normal human" looks like, which can be backed up by the quote "The only person who isn't really him is the one who goes by the name of Neuvillette."
It's really convoluted... it took me a while to understand, too.
I'll try to explain it like this: Neuvillette is the one who is trying to fit the mold of a human. That's why the Melusines say they're not really the "real Neuvillette"— because the "real" Neuvillette has desires and a personality that Neuvillette has subconsciously decided doesn't fit for a "human" to have. (of course, there's some cognitive distortion going on there.)
The "real" Neuvillette is the one I like to call Leviathan. They're the one who shows up more after the events of Masquerade of the Guilty. They're the one who has the courage to cut their hair short and smile at their friends.
Of course, all of Neuvillette's parts are equally Neuvillette, it's just worded that way for literary effect, I suppose.
⟡ Conclusion
In the end, Neuvillette's story is a story about being freed, but it's also very much a story about identity, at its core.
It was fun to write this... I'm sorry it's so long... but it really is nice to have all of my theories written out finally. I've been rolling all of this around in my head for the entire past year! It's so nice to see it in words :')
Hopefully you found it interesting!

It's been less than a week since season 6 came out, so spoilers are going under the cut.
Man, Viren's fate has me feeling things.
Like, I don't think he's necessarily redeemed, but he did what he could in his final days and moments, and I think his arc as a character was really excellently done.
He didn't burden Soren with knowledge that wouldn't help him. Soren already knew his dad blamed him—kids are perceptive!—and he didn't need to know that his survival as a child is owed to dark magic, or how exactly Viren obtained Lissa's tears. Should he have directly said the words "I'm sorry" to Soren knowing that they'd in all likelihood ring extremely hollow? Absolutely. In a perfect world, he would have. But I think using his own heart for the hearts of cinder spell that allows Soren to help the remaining evacuees was the apology Soren actually could understand and accept in some fashion, especially because Soren's whole drive is using himself to protect others.
(I am now wondering if Claudia is going to learn that Viren sacrificed himself and blame Soren for "causing" that. I'm not sure she will want to forgive that—she'll insist Viren could have used the heart of someone who was very obviously dying or something. Something that would have allowed her family a chance to be together again.)
(I also wonder if Claudia has any awareness that Viren used dark magic to save Soren's life as a child, because that would put her healing Soren's back in season 2 in a very interesting light.)
Anyway, back to Viren.
The way he dies ultimately completes his story in a very fitting way, I think. At the beginning, we see him claim he's a servant as he looks for every "creative solution", and his reasoning makes sense even as his methods are extremely distasteful! It's something he visibly grapples with (though not always consistently) through the story. I think it's actually pretty fitting that he doesn't give his life for Harrow at the beginning (much though he claims to be willing to), but for Katolis at the end. And he recognizes that he is doing too little much too late, but he does it anyway.
I personally don't think it redeems him, but maybe that just makes it more powerful.

i’m going to go full ‘charlie kelly conspiracy corkboard’ over mourn watch rook, i swear. i already wondered where “ingellvar” came from – was it safety pinned to their little swaddling clothes or otherwise had some indication that this was their name before being left? or, probably more likely, was it given to them AFTER they were found? and if so, by what method? is ingellvar a standard bastard and/or orphan name in nevarra? or just a common name they thought would fit? or the name of one of the watchers that cared for them? or the name of someone interred in the crypt where they were found, like a posthumous adoption?
and then, of course, there’s the implications of that skeleton. ‘stumbling’ and ‘too late to cry’ implies a tragedy, possibly a wound – was the (now) skeleton injured by whatever left them a caretaker to baby ingellvar, or just extremely shaken by it? (tho the fact that there’s no mention of knowing more about their origins than that they were left there would fit more with this person dying before divulging any information, so my guess is wounded.) someone traveling with ingellvar’s parents(s)??
and – what exactly happened? was it a targeted attack?? was it happenstance????
there’s so many possibilities and they’re all WILD
Oh, same! It's definitely one of the things drawing me in more than anything else roleplay wise at the moment.
I've been wondering about the name as well! Personally, I'm partial to the idea it was assigned by the Mourn Watcher's when they decided to keep them. Not necessarily because there's much from the game to suggest either way, but because it works with the little narrative I've been cooking up. The idea of there being a standard bastard name à la ASOIAF style is kind of fun. With the way Nevarra handles their dead though, I could see there being default "common" names so people who don't have noble bloodlines can be easily buried together. All the Necropolis content that I've seen only discusses old rich families when it comes to specific crypts, and it's made me wonder what happens to the random Nevarran baker who doesn't come from a notable bloodline. Or is that where the supply of janitor skeletons come from?
Total headcanon territory now, but it'd be cool if there were regional common names that determine what part of the Necropolis someone unimportant ends up and Ingellvar is one. Though maybe the whole "what happens to normal folk" is discussed and I've just not seen it yet cause I still am working my way through a first playthrough.
Circling back though, I have so many questions too!! Part of me almost wishes they'd left it completely untouched because more room for headcanons? Where as with the wounded skeleton dialogue it let's you know there definitely IS a story there, you just don't know it. I agree the caretaker sounded injured, and I'm assuming they died before any information was divulged. It does beg so many questions cause what exactly caused them to flee into the depths of the Necropolis for safety?? Theyre not exactly easy to access for those who aren't in the club. I'd assume if a violent altercation of any note happened just a few blocks away and an infant was found with an injured dead person the next day- two and two would have been put together. But it doesnt seem like there's anything your character has been given to go off of.
Personally, I am enjoying playing with headcanons here. One I'm gravitating a bit to is Ward was an elf-blooded bastard that needed to be done away with. Possibly a Pentaghast because why not. The fact that their caretaker died getting them to safety puts a bit of a dent in my plan for her to have died and been posessed by a spirit before being found. I really wanted her to have a bit of "one foot in the beyond and one foot with the living" dynamic.
THOUGH. I will say this regardless of headcanons or canon story. I think there should be way more roleplay-ability due to the fact your character is either a parentless orphan or a victim of abandonment (something they genuinely dont know the answer to.) I found on more than one occasion playing through Taash quests this insane level of "my character is probably attending the first family dinner of her life and is probably insanely envious of Taash for having a mom that wants them and unfortunately would not understand Taash's grievances in this moment." Like the way the game makes it hard to believably play an older experienced character makes it feel like there's missing "let my character be a young person who desperately doesnt understand normal family drama and feels at odds with many of the companion traumas because of it." Origins let's you establish how Mahariel feels about their mom abandoning them. HOW COME ORIGINS CAN DO IT AND NOT VEILGAURD?

Hiiiiii, yandere veteran here! :'DD
I saw your post about yandere and stuff, so i thought i could explain a few things! Firstly, there are different types of yandere out there! Clingy submissive type, sadistic yandere, the subtle manipulator yandere, possessive, obsessive, Yangire, Yeredere, Delusional, Intelligenct, quiet etc.
You can even combine two archetypes together, for example, Tsunyandere (Tsundere + Yandere) and kuuyandere (Kuudere + Yandere). There's even a slight difference between female and male yandere! Male tend to be more violent and possessive meanwhile Female yandere tend to be more passionate and submissive.
Generally speaking, the term "Yandere" associate with someone who is so into you and possessive that they would go to great lengths to monopolize you. Yanderes start sweet and overly affectionate, and then they get possessive and possibly violent. A classical yandere goes after the people surrounding their target first and tries to separate the love interest/target from everyone else. If that means locking them in a cage, so be it. Doesn't necessarily have to be bloody and/or gore. Again, it depends on the yandere type!
This is gonna be a little personal, but for me, I like yanderes a lot because I like the idea of someone loving me so much they'd do anything for me. I fell in love with the idea that someone loves you so much, they're willing to do insane, socially unacceptable things for your love. Of course, this doesn't supply to real life.
Anyway, moving on to Belphegor, i would say he's more of a "mild yandere" and possibly leaning more towards the "Nonviolent/Manipulative yandere" those types of yandere never bring direct harm to someone, and never will directly kill someone themselves, but will manipulate others to achieve their goals. It's the psychological and emotional manipulation that makes it so interesting. And seeing how much of a brat he can be, i would say that fits him the best.
Fun fact: There's an old devilgram story, i forgot the name, where belphegor poisoned Satan bc he was flirting with mc, lol.
Moving on to Barbatos, the reason fans suspect him to be a yandere is bc of his character song "Crazy About you," in which he sings the following lines:
"My heart in turmoil
Having you with me makes me want you
I’m crazy about you
I, too, cannot stop this billowing feeling
I wish to please you always
Please leave everything to me
But your poor manner will not be tolerated
Not matter how many times
Let me give you a lecture in calm
I will not hand you to anyone else, oh
I can’t take this
My feelings for you
I’ll make you mine"
"Crazy About you" does give off some yandere vibes, but does that make Barbatos a yandere? I don't think so. Considering all the characters had their "yandere" moments doesn't make them Yandere per say. But Barbatos does seem to be possessive in his song about Mc. Honestly, considering that his sin is greed, that makes quite a lot of sense. If i had to categorise him to a Yandere trope, then he would be the "Intelligenct/quiet yandere." Those types of yandere plan far in advance and fight more with their brains than with their brawn. It's almost similar to the "Manipulative yandere."
He could be absolutely terrifying, a yandere able to manipulate time and space? That's absolutely scary IF he was a yandere.
unironically, the closest thing to a yandere in Obey Me has is Mammon. He's shown that he constantly wants Mc to himself and seeking their attention, even getting in the way of his brothers and constantly reminding everyone that he's Mc first pact demon. In the beginning of the OG, obey me, he even said “I want to be the one who saves you, and if I can’t be, just die already" and remember that ONE NB lesson where he lost control over his Greed and wanted Mc to himself? Yeah, yandere moment definitely.
Anyway, what i'm trying to say is there are different types of yandere, and not everything has to be bloody. Sometimes, yanderes can be subtle with their motives.
Hello there, anon!
Okay see I had a feeling there was more to it than what my basic search of the term had indicated. I have seen some of the other -dere types because someone asked me about that and I had to look it up lol. But my knowledge of the different yandere types is pretty much nonexistent, so thank you for this explanation!
Okay, okay, so I wasn't taking Barb's song into consideration at all. The songs are all fun and there are certainly parts that are informative of character, but generally speaking I don't really think about them in terms of their characterization. (Not that it's bad to do that or anything, that's just a me quirk lol.)
That being said, I think any character can be written as a yandere if that's what the person writing the story wants to do. I would say most characters edge on some of those qualities, which really just boils down to them being a well rounded character.
Especially because Barbatos has this kind of vibe that's he's always holding something back. Not just truths about himself, but his own feelings, too. I think it'd be easy to say that he just doesn't allow himself to act in the way he really wants to.
And in that case, I think the concept of subtle yandere could apply to him. But again, this is all something that I think would need to be explored in fanfiction. I just don't think that in the story itself there's any indication of Barbatos having secret yandere motives. But I don't think it's a stretch to give him some in a fic by any means.
Interesting point about Mammon, though! I think his general tsundere personality probably overshadows those other yandere moments lol. I've never seen anyone refer to him as such, but it sounds like it fits to me! Then again, as I stated, my knowledge of these terms is very limited.
I like what you said about Belphie too - his whole thing is manipulation so that checks out to me!
Anyway, I like when characters have flaws and act jealous or possessive because it makes them feel more real to me. But that means it's only one aspect of who they are, so I don't tend to focus only on those traits when I write about them. But this is just a personal preference and I think that if you like yandere characters, it's perfectly reasonable to make your faves yandere even if they aren't in the source material.
Thank you for this thorough explanation, anon! I'm glad someone who knew more about it was able to add more insight and nuance to the discussion! It sounds to me like we're in agreement that Barbatos has some yandere moments, but in general is not a yandere.

Anon who was asking about increasing powers yesterday. I feel like its not so much not being able to choose freely that feels frustrating, as it is the current requirements for gaining powers. I don't mind having restrictions on being able to learn powers in concept, and I think having them be tied to the world and your characters actions/choices is a pretty neat idea, I just think the current implementation just isn't quite clicking with me. The chapter 1 choices are somewhat better as I see the logic behind them. And while it's definitely a bit sad I can't always pick the combo of starting stat boost and background content I feel would best fit my character, it's not the biggest issue, not really that much of a bother. Chapter 5 is really the where I have my issue. Basically, while I can see why allying with the relevant trainer would enable a character to increase a power they wouldn't necessarily be naturally inclined to, I think I'm failing to see the other half of the requirement, which is why a character who is more inclined to one of the powers couldn't improve that power on their own, so the requirement ends up feeling somewhat arbitrary. There's also the element where it feels like another way the game is skewed in favor of less reluctant characters, since a reluctant character is far more likely to not make any alliances, and then just not get to increase a power in Chapter 5.
But knowing that I'm not totally locked out of path of the beast forever for not choosing to be a criminal or ally with Illya does make it somewhat less annoying, so thanks for the info.
I understand where you're coming from, but I'm not going to change my mind on this. Five years for a vampire to develop a new power is quick. If most vampires were doing that every 5 years, they'd be gods by the time they're 50.
But that's not the case. Lawrence Blackwell was 200ish when he fought the werewolves and he was only just able to give shadows form.
MC doesn't realise this, but if they have even one power by 5, they're a very impressive fledgling. Having two powers by that age is incredibly unusual and the only way I can see that happening is via rigorous training.
I also don't think reluctant vampires can't be allies and/or train with other vampires. You don't have to like being a vampire, or kill, or anything to get any of these allies. You just have to tell them that you'll stick up for them in court.
That said, I get it. Iliya is a bit of a prick when you first meet him, being a criminal isn't an easy pill to swallow, and I understand not wanting to engage in even the lowest level of politics... which means you will have to wait a little while longer to get super strength.
All that said, you don't actually need powers to play the game. I was even thinking of putting an achievement in for players who finish the game powerless.
Powers are get out of jail free cards and/or things that'll activate useful hints or flavour texts.
You'll end up in more sticky situations without powers (and the end game will be harder) but it's still totally doable.
Other choices matter more when it comes to actually changing the story. For example, what tribute you decide will pretty much determine the next couple of chapters.
I hope all of that makes sense. 💙

Do you ever think about what BJ, Charles and/or Potter might've been like if they'd been early season additions?
Oooh inchresting question :3c
I think Charles could actually fit in in early season MASH pretty easily and well. DOS is very very funny, and he'd be a nice compliment to Frank. Like I think they would actually play off each other really well in really funny ways, I think Charles would fully manipulate Frank while being slightly disgusted by him and they'd have a really funny dynamic as antagonists, I can fully imagine the way Larry Linvelle and DOS would play off each other and I wish it existed 🥲 In my ideal world, he'd be the fourth Swamp Rat, and the uneasy FrankCharles vs TrapHawk rivalry would free Margaret up for the sort of independent story lines she got after Frank left in the actual series. I'm not sure Charles himself would necessarily have the room for the softer character moments he got in the series in this scenario, but just on a character dynamics level I can fully imagine him fitting into the vibe of S1-3.
(This actually gave me a bit of a fic idea for this AU where Charles steals a weekend pass to Tokyo TrapHawk scammed off of Henry, and like we cut between Charles impersonating Hawkeye as he tries to get back to the hospital he worked at before being at the 4077th to beg for his old job and keeps running into people who vaguely know Hawkeye and Trapper trying to track him down and reluctantly talking him into coming back before he's caught and arrested for deserting his post, maybe with them getting one night of bonding over unseemly cavorting before going back...)
Potter, if Henry was still the CO, could actually be kind of an interesting recurring character I think? Like after The Trial of Henry Blake maybe the higher ups want a tighter more military eye on the 4077th, and Potter fills that roll of the outsider who doesn't quite get the madness and wants to impose some discipline on the camp- whether he then gets trolled or won over, eh. I think he could work, and it would be fun to see him interact with some of the characters, but I'm less interested in him than hypothetical early season Charles.
BJ I think would be the hardest fit- because he is, before anything else, a replacement Trapper and if Trapper is already there... Well, Charles can still be an antagonist even if Frank is there, but can BJ really join the TrapHawk axis without third wheeling? I think he'd ultimately suffer a similar fate as Oliver, where the writers wouldn't know what to do with him apart from letting him tag along... And I don't think he'd cause enough friction or drama to be interesting in that regard, you know? He'd be like a lot of the recurring characters we see in the early seasons- a nice guy our heroes like, but I don't think he'd work as a compliment to Frank and he wouldn't bring enough spice to be an interesting addition to TrapHawk since he and Trapper would both be filling the "best friend" role... I mean now I'm thinking on how you COULD make him work, maybe leaning fully into his stochastic prankster side and having him be a third power against both TrapHawk and FrankMarg, or giving him a new buddy to ally with and play off of like Radar or Klinger, but I just think he'd be the trickiest to fit in you know?

I do genuinely think making Frankie intentionally autistic would be a natural evolution in understanding their character. Like a realization that the traits are core to their character beyond just them being new to living, things that would stick around much longer than them just getting used to existence. An understanding from the writers that if their character can so easily "unintentionally come off as autistic," perhaps the core of that character inherently aligns with and strikes a chord with that experience.
Snippets from the leak (and very long analysis) below.
They have the ingredients, if only they take the opportunity to embrace it.
There's potential for a similar evolution with Lagoona.
We've already seen in the show that Lagoona has idealized, fairy tale (scary tale) ideas about love, and specific archetypes in mind. If her arc is about learning real relationships, including romantic ones, aren't like the ones in fairy tales and telenovelas, you could organically take that in the direction of her first major romantic relationship not working out because it was built on these idealized notions. Especially considering our first time seeing Gil in the show is as the dream guy in Lagoona's story, you could create an arc around her idealizing him, falling in love with him, but then realizing the relationship doesn't click as well or easily as she thought it would (not necessarily from anything bad between them). She could start to recognize love in different shapes than she'd expected, in different places than she'd usually look, and surprise herself with what she finds.
There's no reason Lagoona needs to be straight, or otherwise. But within her arc, there's an opportunity to go beyond her learning about real relationships and romance, to explore a character discovering their orientation. It'd also draw a more distinct parallel to her growth from her initial false friendship with Toralei—based on dependency, uneven dynamics, and abstract ideas of what it means to be friends—to finding real friendship with Draculaura and co—based on mutual trust and acceptance.
Again, I don't think they'd need to paint Gil in a bad light for a potential romantic relationship between him and Lagoona to not work. In fact it'd be better and more meaningful if they didn't, both within the context of the arc itself being about Lagoona's self-discovery, and the context of their rocky relationship in g1.
Of note, Gil's only mention in the version of bible that got leaked is in relation to Lagoona.
Given the g3 show's current track record, it's undeniable his character will get expanded on beyond a relationship to Lagoona. And that none of that shows up in the leaked version of the bible is one of the (many!) things that points to it being a document in ongoing development (I could honestly make a whole other post about the characterizations that don't align with the final show).
On that note and as a final point, same as with Gil, Howleen's only mention in the leaked bible is in relation to Clawdeen.
Here, there's an idea of Howleen being a yet-unknown relative to Clawdeen, not very expanded upon. However, Howleen being a yet-unknown younger sister to Clawdeen, in addition to maintaining the relationship they had in g1, also makes a more compelling story than Howleen being a younger cousin of various relation. The main issue is figuring out how that fits with the timeline of their mother getting stuck on Beheme. It's probable making Howleen a younger cousin was an idea considered mainly because it avoids that issue entirely.
That being said, there's enough timeywimey shenanigans surrounding Beheme, and open-endedness around Selena Wolf's disappearance, that they could've still worked something else out.
But there's also potential to explore Howleen being a half-sister, or becoming an adopted sister later on. Both would be interesting dynamics not often too represented or explored in children's media, and could be valuable as relatable or teachable experiences for the show's target audience.
These are just my ideas of how Frankie, Lagoona, and Howleen could be expanded upon from the initial concepts in the leaked version of the bible. What I'm getting at is there are ways to get from this point, the specific version of the bible that was leaked, to a final show where Frankie is autistic (and maybe AuDHD), Lagoona is bi/pan/ace even, and Howleen is in some way Clawdeen's sister. Because, like I said in my last post, show bibles change, develop, and get updated as writers work on the show.
And as I mentioned earlier, there are several characterizations in the leaked version of the show bible that also don't line up with what we've seen in the finalized show, already halfway through the first season.
The leak doesn't provide any canon confirmation or deconfirmation. It just provides insight to how the writers were thinking about certain ideas at the time it was last updated.

Welcome to your life - Pt 1:
Everybody Wants To Rule THEIR World Ch 11:
Summary:
"You need only close your eyes to it and be happy and safe with us."
The Keeper (player) has already secured the repository and Sebastian's loyalty, emboldening his descent into darkness. Now, they just need to win over Ominis, cure Anne, and create a domain to call their own.
And not necessarily in that order.
The Keeper's tale, a post-game story of a morally-grey, pragmatic, Chaotic Neutral, non-binary, muggleborn, orphan player character, so burned by 1800s orphanages, that they became a power hoarder who demands more payment for quests, burns paintings but doesn't want to rule the world, just their own territory and the two boys who'd caught their eye.
Warnings: Sebastian x MC x Ominis! Spoilers! Dark content! Slow-burn canon-compilant corruption! Fucked up 1800s orphanages! MC has no love for Anne or Solomon! Dubious happy ending (it's happy for MC, Seb and Ominis at least).
You can also read on AO3! (chapter specific warnings below)
Notes:
Warnings: Minor emotional manipulation! Very protective and blood thirsty Keeper.
Again, I made up some stuff since JK never told us how Gringotts works in detail xP
The Keeper's curious gaze swept across the colourful banners and sign boards scattered across the street. So, this was Diagon Alley. Well, it wasn’t too different from Hogsmeade, perhaps more bustling businessmen running about, still infinitely better than muggle London.
Kicking the ash from their shoes, the Keeper followed Sebastian and Ominis through the crowded streets. They had a hard time fighting the urge to go exploring but business came first. They could return to explore the place another day.
Maybe when it was less crowded.
The three of them weaved their way through the clusters of people stupidly standing in the middle of the road talking or gawking through a window.
A disgusting amount of bodily contact with strangers later, the Keeper and their partners finally stood before the Diagon Alley branch of Gringotts Wizarding Bank.
"And here we are, as the one of us who has been to Gringotts most recently, after you." Sebastian grinned as he waved the Keeper ahead of them.
The Keeper raised an eyebrow in question and Sebastian shrugged. "I haven't been here since my parents died and Ominis has never seen the inside of Gringotts."
"Really, Sebastian?" Ominis sighed, shaking his head.
Rolling their eyes at Sebastian's bad joke, the Keeper patted Ominis on the shoulder as they stepped forward, hearing a loud thump behind them, followed by a yelp from Sebastian.
The Keeper cautiously approached the white building's large bronze doors, watching as the doors swung open to reveal a vaguely familiar room.
As they crossed the threshold, the Keeper was amused by how very similar the architecture was to the branch that they'd visited with Fig. It felt fitting that their second visit to a Gringotts bank would be with the family they'd acquired after losing the closest thing they'd had to a father.
They wondered if Fig would have been proud of them.
The Keeper donned a mask of confidence and stepped up to the goblin behind the receptionist desk. They'd learnt many things from their mentor during their adventures and one of them was; If you're not sure what you're doing, pretend to be until you are.
Taking a breath, the Keeper cleared their throat loudly.
The goblin on the other side of the desk blinked at them for a moment before placing his quill aside lethargically.
"Welcome to Gringotts Wizarding bank. What can I do for you?" The goblin asked blandly, sounding like he was in dire need of a coffee break.
"I would like to set up an account and make several purchases with it." The Keeper replied curtly.
The goblin raised a bushy eyebrow. "You don't look over 17."
"I am not." The Keeper confirmed.
"Do you have permission from your parents?" The goblin narrowed his eyes.
"I do not have parents. I am a muggleborn orphan who has been kicked from their orphanage." The Keeper shrugged, vaguely aware of Sebastian standing stiffly behind them.
The goblin's expression cleared. "I see. However, without a guardian, you would be placed under the purview of your head of House at Hogwarts…"
"I have with me two documents, one with a signature from Professor Sharp granting guardianship of myself to Solomon Sallow during the school break, and the other a letter of permission from Solomon Sallow himself." The Keeper presented the two pieces of parchment to the goblin.
He gave the documents a cursory scan and nodded. "Very well, I shall refer you to my colleague who will help you open and manage your account after validating these documents."
The Keeper could feel Sebastian release a relieved breath behind them.
The goblin waved them towards a corridor to the left. "Room 13."
"Thank you." The Keeper nodded politely and stepped away from the counter.
The two boys fell in step behind the Keeper as they made their way towards the room, Sebastian murmuring. "So far so good."
"I wouldn't celebrate till we've left the building." Ominis muttered back, maintaining an air of aristocratic aloofness that the Keeper was honestly impressed by, but one that Sebastian clearly saw through as he took Ominis' hand, squeezing it reassuringly.
The Keeper could only afford to note this exchange peripherally, the goblin at the counter hadn't taken the time to scrutinise the letter. They weren't out of the woods yet and they would need to keep their act up enough to fool this next one too.
Arriving at the door with the number 13 emblazoned on a golden plaque, the Keeper knocked politely, waiting for an invitation before opening the door and stepping through it without hesitation. They had to behave as though they had every right to be there.
The room was simple but no less ornate than the rest of the building, consisting of sparse minimalistic decor, a single table with a goblin seated on one side and three empty chairs on the other. The only things on the table were a weighing scale, a stack of blank papers, a quill, and an ink well.
"Please have a seat." The goblin gestured to the chairs and with a polite nod, the Keeper moved to sit in the centre chair. Sebastian taking the seat on their right and Ominis the one on their left.
"Fixtlick Flitwick, at your service." The goblin tipped his head politely and raised a hand. "The documents?"
The Keeper handed over the two documents and folded their hands in their lap, suppressing their anxiety and endeavouring to appear as calm as possible.
Fixtlick hummed. "This is a little unorthodox, normally we would insist that Mr Solomon Sallow accompany you in person…"
"This is Sebastian Sallow, his nephew." The Keeper gestured towards Sebastian, who nodded in greeting, before returning their attention to the goblin.
"As it says in the letter, Solomon's niece is in need of constant care, and he cannot afford to leave her unattended." The Keeper made a sweeping motion with their right hand. "Surely you're aware that Sebastian’s sister is believed to have been permanently harmed by one of Ranrok's loyalists."
Fixtlick grimaced at the reminder of the rebellion leader, who'd become a pariah amongst his own, when it was revealed that he'd killed his own brother in cold blood.
For a race that valued family and racial ties, this had been a disgrace to their pride. His actions, an affront to their code.
The Keeper could feel their pulse racing under their skin. This was a dangerous gamble, banking on their current reputation and the good old shame game, but it was all they had.
"I hope to aid the Sallows by opening an account that I can use to make purchases to improve their lives." The Keeper spoke politely but firmly. People loved a justice story, especially when it gave them the chance to do something that felt like atoning for their own guilt.
Fixtlick turned to observe Sebastian carefully. As always, Sebastian was the perfect sidekick, his expression and body language spoke of pain. An exhaustion that was, no doubt, as real as much as it was for show.
With a sigh, Fixtlick picked up a stamp and pressed a seal to both documents that disappeared after a moment. Returning the documents to the Keeper, Fixtlick reached under the desk and pulled out a large bound leather tome and opened it on the desk, revealing identical copies of the two documents he'd returned to them.
"Very well, in light of your circumstances, we will allow you to open a vault at Gringotts. Place your finger on this spot." Fixtlick pointed at a small, outlined patch on the inside of the cover of the tome.
The Keeper felt pretty sure they knew what was coming and obediently placed their index finger on the patch. Immediately, a strip of the paper curled around their finger, pressing it firmly against the parchment.
They felt a prick of pain on the pad of their finger and watched impassively as their blood seeped into the parchment, filling the outlined patch with a deep crimson. A moment later, the paper uncoiled itself from their finger, releasing their hand.
To the Keeper's amusement, Fixtlick offered them a small shot of wiggenweld potion, which they declined, taking a sip from one of their own vials instead.
The goblin scribbled in the book with a quill for a moment, before raising his head to face them. "Alright, everything seems to be in order. Now, how much would you like to deposit?"
The Keeper simply handed him a small pouch. The goblin took the pouch and placed it on the weighing scale. They watched with some pride as Fixtlick's eyebrows raised at the amount of galleons they'd accumulated during their exploration.
The wizarding world's citizens were so lax with their valuables and more than easy to convince to part with ridiculous amounts of money for mere errands that they'd rather not dirty their hands with. From collecting bubotuber pus to slaying an Ashwinder like Selwyn, even paying a child to dip their hands in blood.
Fixtlick squinted at the Keeper suspiciously and they raised an eyebrow in response. If he had something to say, he could say it or hold it in forever.
The goblin blinked and looked back down at the book, scribbling something in it, while Sebastian peered curiously at the Keeper. They continued to stare at the goblin impassively, ignoring his questioning gaze.
After a moment, Fixtlick was picking up the pouch and dropping it onto a circular outline on the table.
The pouch glowed for a moment before Fixtlick retrieved it and returned it to the Keeper. "The contents have been deposited. Was there anything else you needed?"
The Keeper nodded. "I would like to purchase the land on which the Dìon Castle ruins is situated, as well as two house elf contracts."
"Let me take a look." Fixtlick placed a hand on the stack of paper beside him and words began appearing on the blank topmost sheet.
After a moment, the goblin lifted his hand and examined the stack, collecting pages until he reached a blank paper. Fixtlick scanned the filled pages for a few minutes before looking up again.
"It seems that the land is currently owned by the ministry and is indeed available for purchase." He placed a sheet of paper before the Keeper, displaying a map of the region outlining the boundaries of the lot.
Sebastian joined the Keeper in looking at the map, before murmuring to Ominis. “Hey, the waterfall and lake are part of the lot, brilliant.”
Ominis hummed appreciatively, Sebastian grinned and the Keeper nodded in acknowledgement, mostly just relieved that the plot had been so easy to purchase.
Returning the map to the goblin, the Keeper added. "I have some wards I'd like to place on the property when the purchase has gone through."
"Very well, I will arrange for the purchase to be charged to your account. The deed will be available for viewing at any time in your vault and I will send a copy to you by owl post, and we can discuss the warding then. Please read this document and sign here." Fixtlick presented another paper to the Keeper.
They spent the next few minutes reading through the legalities and terms of the purchase, as well as the price of the property, which was fortunately well within their budget. The low price was probably thanks to the lack of farmable land or profitable mines in the area, all the better for them.
Satisfied, the Keeper signed the document and returned it.
Fixtlick proceeded to sign the document as well, before placing the pages in the book and waving a hand over it. The pages glowed before fusing with the book.
He then placed a hand on the stack of blank paper again, repeating his previous actions before presenting the Keeper with another eight documents.
"Here are some of the contracts available at the moment, please select the house elves you wish to purchase. If none of these are satisfactory, I will offer another set of options." Fixtlick gave a wave at the papers.
The Keeper gave the photographs of house elves a quick once over, feeling Sebastian peering curiously at the contracts over their shoulder. The Keeper was mildly disgusted by the blatant slavery. Coming from their roots, the bartering of lives was nauseating.
That said, they still needed assistance with their fortress, particularly during the school year, and at least any elves living in their care would not go to an abusive home.
As the Keeper perused, three stood out to them, two males and a female.
The first male elf, Blix, looked close to Scrope’s age and was described as hardworking and obedient. His contract said that his owner had passed away a little over a year ago.
The second male elf, Tynx, didn't look nearly as old as Scrope but was covered in a myriad of scars and his eyes had a certain hardness to it that the Keeper liked. His contract said that his owner had died in an accident a few weeks ago.
The female elf, Tibsy, was much younger looking with a brightness in her eyes that reminded them of Sebastian's eagerness. Her contract said that her owner died from old age a few months ago.
Lifting the three documents, the Keeper leaned back and murmured to Sebastian and Ominis. “I’ve got three that look alright, any tips on picking two from them?”
Ominis tipped his head to the side and mused. “My parents tried not to get one too old, said they’re more experienced but won’t last as long and might be harder to train.”
Sebastian shrugged. “Don’t look at me, the only house elves I know are the ones in the kitchens.”
“What could you possibly need from the kitchens?” Ominis asked, slightly bewildered.
Sebastian huffed in mock offence. “Excuse me, I’m a growing boy!”
“Don’t we get enough food during meals?” Ominis rolled his eyes.
“Yeah, but sometimes I get hungry at night.”
“Well then you shouldn’t be reading through the night!”
"House elves Tynx and Tibsy." The Keeper declared, interrupting them, and returning Blix’s contract to the table. Continuing to scan Tynx’s and Tibsy’s contracts to go over the fine print and prices more thoroughly. The house elves would put a deeper dent in their funds but hopefully it would be worth it.
Fixtlick nodded and retrieved the other contracts, waving a hand over them to vanish their contents and returned the blank pages to the pile. Satisfied, the Keeper signed the two contracts they'd picked and returned them to the goblin.
Collecting the pages, Fixtlick signed them as well and placed them on the tome, fusing them with the book like before. As he did so, the Keeper felt a strange tingle of magic that made their body glow for a short moment.
"The house elves are now magically bound to you. You may summon them to your side by speaking their names and you may permit someone else to summon them as well. Additionally, giving clothing to a House Elf will result in them being freed from their bond with you." Fixtlick nodded as he closed what the Keeper was now sure was their account ledger. "Do you need anything else today?"
The Keeper shook their head with a small, satisfied smile. "I do not, thank you Fixtlick, I appreciate your assistance with everything I needed, and I am glad to have you as my account manager."
Fixtlick blinked in what seemed like surprise, perhaps at their show of respect or sincerity, before giving a sharp toothed smile that reminded the Keeper of Lodgok. They felt a pang of sorrow at the spectre of the friend who'd died for them.
"It has been a day of unexpected surprises, but it was a privilege assisting you and you will be hearing from me soon with news on the deed." Fixtlick tipped his head respectfully.
"Till then." Nodding, the Keeper stood, along with their two companions, and the three left the room.
Stepping out of the building, the three collectively sagged in relief.
"I feel like that just cost me half my lifespan." The Keeper sighed as they took a few steps to the side, slumping against a wall.
Sebastian gave a shaky laugh. "No kidding, I feel like an old man after spending so long sitting like a block of wood."
Ominis just smiled weakly. "Sadly, we can't go home yet, we should get the house elves settled in first."
"Sadly.” The Keeper agreed with a sigh, smiling tiredly at him. “I'll admit I was quite impressed with your poise, Ominis."
Ominis shrugged. "The merits of growing up in a house of purebloods supremacists, I suppose. Honestly, I just followed Professor Black's orders to 'stand proud purebloods, the future is yours'."
The Keeper promptly choked on their next breath, coughing slightly, and waving off Ominis' concern.
Yeah. They were never going to tell him that it'd been them under polyjuice that day-
"Tynx, Tibsy." The Keeper spoke clearly, as they stood before the ruins of Dìon Castle.
The three didn't have to wait long, with a pop, two small house elves appeared before them. The two elves promptly bowed respectfully.
"Greetings Master, how should Tynx and Tibsy address you?" The house elf with a sprinkle of black hair on his scalp asked politely, a reserved caution in his black beady eyes.
The Keeper's eyes darted downwards as Tynx straightened from his bow, noticing that his left hand was missing two fingers, his pinkie and index fingers specifically. While his right hand was missing a pinkie.
It took a moment for it to hit them, those digits had likely been removed by his former master, much like Scrope’s ear had been. The Keeper bristled as they realised why his thumbs and middle fingers had been spared.
So that Tynx could still snap his fingers and cast house elf magic.
Disgusting humans. The house elves were already forced to do their masters' bidding, what purpose did tormenting what already belonged to you serve?
The Keeper swallowed their anger, it was neither the time nor place for that.
Refocusing on the question that Tynx had asked, they decided that these elves had been denied options long enough. The Keeper really couldn't care less what the elves called them, if the elves did their jobs, then every other aspect of the elves' lives were each elf's own business.
"Whatever you want." The Keeper shrugged uncaringly, pulling a small pouch from their pocket while the elves stared at them in bewilderment.
The Keeper held the pouch out to Tynx expectantly, waiting for him to put his right hand out before dropping it into the elf's small palm. "Use this money in Diagon Alley to buy supplies, bedding and whatever you require to make the ruins behind you habitable for the two of you."
The Keeper paused, deciding it would be best to reiterate themselves. "And I do mean habitable, the money in there should be enough for the two of you to live here comfortably. I'll be dropping by often to check on your progress and conditions. I will expect a report on your expenses and will allocate additional funds as necessary."
Ignoring the shock on the elves' faces, they continued. "As for your duties, the two of you are to clean up the ruins. I want the grass, weeds and stone debris cleared out. We'll be constructing a new castle over this plot of land, and I'd like the two of you to prepare it for development."
"These are my partners, Sebastian Sallow and Ominis Gaunt." The Keeper gestured to the boys in turn. "The two of you are to take orders from them as well, if an instruction from them contradicts an order from me, simply speak with me about it and we'll sort it out."
The house elves nodded, giving respectful bows to the boys as well.
"The three of us are still students at Hogwarts, as such, we cannot use magic during the current school break. We are also currently staying in Feldcroft, so the two of you will be in charge of this area while we are away." The Keeper placed their hands together in front of them. "Any questions?"
The two elves had spent the briefing nodding along mutely as the Keeper spoke, before shaking their heads at the final question.
Where Tynx was stoic and unreadable, Tibsy in contrast, seemed rather overwhelmed. Her long droopy ears paired with the strings of blond hair hanging over her big brown eyes, made her look a lot younger than any house elf the Keeper had seen before.
The Keeper sighed at the lacklustre response, well, they supposed it would take them time to adjust. These weren't Hogwarts elves that were used to friendly wizards and witches.
Even Deek had shared his own terrible experiences with abusive owners, and the owner of Tobbs should pray to never have the misfortune of meeting the Keeper in person.
"Actually, I have a question, what exactly will we be doing with the plants?" Ominis hummed thoughtfully, folding an arm and tapping a finger against his jaw. "I think we should probably pot the plants we want to keep and find somewhere suitable to store them first."
"Can't we just pull them out, dig a hole and stick 'em in it till the greenhouses are ready?" Sebastian asked, tipping his head to the side nonchalantly.
"Of course not!" Ominis shook his head. "The soil a plant has rooted in has become uniquely suited to said plant as it grows and must remain together."
"Then dig a bigger hole and drop in the plant and the soil it was in."
"Great, now the plant has to fight all the grass and competitive plants in its new home."
"Merlin, why's a plant gotta be so complicated?"
"It's life, Sebastian, it's always complicated."
"And that's why I'm not taking a Herbology NEWT, there's enough deep philosophy in my life, there's no room for a plant's. The only time I want to think about a plant's place in the universe is when I'm killing it in a pot."
"It wouldn't be so hard to understand if you took the time to think from a plant's perspective."
"I'm fairly certain a plant isn't thinking of anything besides its next meal."
"Look, you already have something in common."
"Oh, come on-"
"In that case." The Keeper turned back to the house elves, Tynx immediately focused his attention on them while Tibsy tried in vain to stifle her amusement as she watched the conversation between the boys.
Deciding that Tynx's attention was enough, the Keeper continued. "I would like you to also purchase twenty pots to start with, we'll buy more as necessary in the future, sadly the Underage magic restriction means I can't create them myself. We could wait till school begins but I want the castle ready as soon as possible, the pot materials can always be repurposed since we'll be needing a lot of clay anyway."
"Yes, Master." Tynx bowed his head, looking surprised when the Keeper pulled out a handful of galleons to drop into his pouch.
He'd clearly expected to have the additional costs taken out of their allowance, he must have had a bad owner, the Keeper noted with some distaste.
It truly was a pity that Tynx's previous owner was already dead, the elf was now theirs and they would have loved to exact vengeance on Tynx's behalf.
Anyone who harmed anything of theirs would pay in blood. Regardless of when the transgression occurred.
"Anything else anyone would like to add?" The Keeper asked once more.
This time they were greeted with silence, so the Keeper continued. "Then, Tynx and Tibsy, the two of you should drop by Diagon Alley before the shops close. Tomorrow, we'll come by after breakfast to go over the plans in more detail and select the first plants we wish to preserve."
The house elves bowed their heads as the Keeper summoned Sepulchria and mounted her, keeping the thestral steady as Sebastian helped Ominis onto her back before climbing on as well.
"Till tomorrow then." The Keeper nodded to the elves in parting before easing the powerful beast into flight.
Notes:
Keeper be faking it till they make it, like a champ xD
I feel like the goblins would not be happy with Ranrok after he killed Lodgok, considering that the goblins decided not to side with Voldemort just because Voldy killed ONE goblin family. If Lodgok noticed personality changes in his brother, I'm sure other family members of the loyalists must have noticed their loved ones getting corrupted by the pain magic too.
Killing your own brother and leading hundreds of goblins to their deaths would probably be ensure that, while Ranrok was lost in Wizarding history, his name would go down in Goblin history with much more infamy.
Also, while land is extremely expensive right now, back during the 1800s, land was actually dirt cheap because there was just so much of it xP
(Get it? Dirt cheap haha- I'm sorry-)

Chapter 10
Warnings: None. (Will however be a 18+ reader book)
Copyright: I do not own any Marvel characters or locations. However, I do own my OC: Elizabeth Y/L/N (created so you don't get Y/N and Y/S/N consistently mixed up. I do not condone any copying of this.
HOGUN WAS ALREADY AWAKE WHEN Elizabeth woke. She observed him over the edge of the hay loft as he milked the cows. He was singing something lightly under his breath that was from no language she had ever heard before.
"What language is that?" She asked lightly.
To his credit, Hogun didn't jump, simply smiling at her over his shoulder and answering, "Vanirim." He replied.
"I thought you were from Asgard?" She asked softly as she climbed down the ladder.
"I lived in Asgard for most of my life, especially after becoming Thor's friend and a warrior." He replied. "But my home planet is Vanaheim. I'm Vanir." Hogun replied. He laughed easily. "I guess that's not a good thing you don't know that."
Elizabeth blushed. "I guess I thought it was rude to ask where you were from."
Hogun stood up with the milk buttons, leaning over and kissing her on the lips. "C'mon, we still have plenty to do."
She smiled, taking one of the other buckets and following him over to the milk tanks. They finished the rest of the chores, laughing. Elizabeth's father watched unannounced from his study window, a faint smile on his lips.
Elizabeth's mother on the other hand was sulking.
"What do you mean they're getting married?" She asked in shock. "Y/N-"
"I don't particularly care who gets married first Y/M/N." He had replied sternly. "I just want my daughters to be happy. Why should Elizabeth's happiness be put off because Y/N hasn't gotten married yet? Y/N's known her mates for longer than Elizabeth has. If she isn't married yet, that's on her."
"But it's not Y/N's fault if she's not ready for marriage yet." Her mother protested. "They've only known each other for a couple of weeks and she has more mates to get to know!"
"And Elizabeth has known Hogun for a month and a half, and Hogun wants to marry her. Don't worry, they'll marry on Asgard so you'll have nothing to worry about for the polite company that you so desperately crave." He replied lightly. "Elizabeth will have an Earthly wedding after Y/N has hers. Doesn't that fit better with you?"
Needless to say, your guys' mother was feeling rather salty about it. She was already thinking about a message to construct to you over the phone to let you know the news in a way that put your father in a bad light and that she didn't support it at all, her favorite daughter should be getting married first.
As the other two came back to the barn, Hogun pointed the horses. "Would you like to go out for a ride?"
"Sure, I'd love to show you the trails. We have some beautiful ones out in the country." Elizabeth beamed. "If you'd like, I can even prepare a picnic basket."
Hogun shook his head. "Another day. Not today. If that's alright with you of course?"
"Whatever you want." Elizabeth said, feeling neither disappointed or joyful about not having to prepare a picnic basket.
Hogun smiled and the two of them saddled up two of the horses. He let Elizabeth lead a little until a clear trail was pointed out and then the two of them rode side by side.
Elizabeth pointed out several spots along the trail. "This is where Y/N and I found baby squirrels. They'd been abandoned and we called the wildlife department. We got to feed them little bottles of milk. Well, I did. Y/N was to scared of them."
"This is where I broke my arm." She said, pointing to where the trail steeped downwards in a cliff.
"How did that happen?" Hogun asked.
"I fell off my horse." Elizabeth said with a light laugh.
It wasn't necessarily true. That was the story, but only you and her knew the truth.
"And here's my treehouse." Elizabeth said, pointing upwards as they passed under the camouflaged wooden house. "I usually walk out here to it though because I stay here for such long periods of time and I'd feel bad for leaving a horse down here so long."
They rode on for another half mile or so before the two of them reached a clearing.
"This is beautiful." Hogun said, heart pounding. This was the best place for what he had to ask.
"Isn't it?" Elizabeth asked and Hogun was struck suddenly how the sun behind her gave her a glowing, halo like effect. She looked like a goddess.
"Do you mind if we stop?" he asked, hoping she didn't notice how choked his words sounded, even to his own ears.
"Sure." Elizabeth beamed, pulling her horse- a light reddish-brown horse that was named Poppy- to a stop. She dismounted gracefully, leaving the two horses there and they took a walk through the clearing holding hands.
"Elizabeth." Hogun said suddenly, coming to a stop and Elizabeth turned to look at him.
"Yes?"
"I just. . ." He realized he had no idea how to do this. He blushed as he clumsily fumbled with his pockets. Elizabeth waited patiently, the faint beginnings of a loving smile on her face.
"I- Asgardians have such a different way of doing this." He muttered. "I don't want to screw this up, but um-" He flipped open the ring box, still blushing deeply. "Will you marry me?"
Elizabeth smiled. His sincerity was obvious but she thought about teasing him. "Midgardians get down on one knee to ask."
He looked surprised and then got on both knees. She giggled and then said. "You're such a goof. Of course I'll marry you."
Hogun grinned as he got to his feet and then blushed again, "What hand and what finger? I'm sorry, I should've looked all this stuff up before. I thought it would just come to me as I did it. Clearly not."
Elizabeth smiled as she stuck her left hand out, pointing to her ring finger and he slipped the beautiful ring onto her finger.
She did not know what the band was made of. Some black metal that could only be found on Alfiheim. The singular blue gem was a brilliant dark blue that had matched his clothes when he'd first come to Midgard. A blue tanzanite.
"I love you, just in case you didn't know." Hogun murmured, lifting her hand to kiss the ring.
"I love you too." Elizabeth said, hugging him tightly as the sun fully set, the last glimmering golden rays capturing the back of her hair in perfection before it went black, making her skin glow in the moonlight. "Just in case you didn't know either."
ₓ˚. ୭ ˚○◦˚.˚◦○˚ ୧ .˚ₓ
"WHAT?" YOUR VOICE SOUNDED SHRILL even to your own ears, but you were incredulous. The others turned to look at you and your shocked face. Steve even stood up, moving towards you like something might be wrong.
Something was wrong, but not something he could fix. Not really. Not in enough time.
"Yep." Elizabeth replied cheerfully on the other end of the phone.
"How? You haven't even met your soulmates!" You protested and if you hadn't had the attention of everyone, you definitely did now. "How are you getting married?"
Sam's mouth dropped, a huge look of disappointment on his face.
"Because I did meet my soulmate." Elizabeth said. "Hogun."
You spun to look at Thor who looked like a deer in headlights, wondering why you were staring at him. Loki glanced between the two of you and then started to smirk, seeming utterly amused.
"But you can't get married." You protested, feeling utterly ashamed. "You're the second-"
"Don't worry, we're not getting married on Earth until you get married." Elizabeth replied, seemingly unconcerned by the fact that she was breaking polite society rules. "We're going to have a small ceremony on Asgard. After you get married, we'll have a bigger wedding on Earth."
You couldn't find the logic to debate this and simply said, "Okay."
Elizabeth seemed to pause on the other end. It was like there was something she wanted to say, but then she said, "Talk to you later" and hung up.
"Elizabeth's getting married." You said to the rest of the group, feeling the shame come down on you again.
Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad for your sister to disgrace the public with her before the elder marriage if you'd been married to some backwater farmer who didn't care. But you were soulmated to Tony Stark. Captain America. Thor and Loki. They were the prime spotlight of polite society.
"Good for her." Loki congratulated lightly.
"I don't understand." Sam panicked. "She hasn't even met any of us. Is she just deciding to marry anyways without meeting us? Has she already decided she doesn't want us?"
"No." You replied shortly, looking at Thor. "Apparently for the past month her and Hogun have been courting."
Thor's surprise shocked you. "What? But I asked Heimdall to send him down here!"
"Well he sent him down, just not to this direct tower." Clint pointed out. "I mean, Hogun didn't really need to be here, did he?"
"What I don't understand," Steve replied shortly. "Was how she can possibly get married anyways when you're not. She is the second child, right?"
"Yes." You said, cheeks burning. Back in Steves time it was completely unheard of for seconds to get married. It was practically a sin.
"Things have lightened up considerably Cap." Tony said with a shrug.
"You don't care?" You asked incredulously. "I mean, if the both of us were soulmated to people less famous maybe it wouldn't matter But you're all the center of attention."
"Sweetheart, people are always going up against us anyways." Tony said, waving a hand. You could tell he truly didn't care and it amazed you. "If your sister wants to marry Hogun first, that's completely up to her."
Sam looked put out with this answer, though you didn't think it was because he was siding with you. More, he just seemed disappointed that she was already getting married. Probably without him.
"So you're okay?" You asked hesitantly, looking at the others.
"I just don't see why its such a big deal." Loki said with a shrug.
"Of course not, you're a second as well." Clint laughed. "You can't marry Y/N till she marries Thor anyhow."
You had forgotten about that.
"Actually," Thor said. "It's because we don't have that law on Asgard."
"Oh." Clint said, looking impressed. "I guess that's why they're going to Asgard to get married?"
"Most likely." Thor said. "Also because its Hogun's home."
"She is?" Sam asked.
"She said that her and Hogun were going to have a ceremony on Asgard and after I get married they'll have a Earth marriage here." You replied.
"She's going to marry him twice?" Stephen asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I guess so." You said with a shrug, feeling annoyed.
How could your father have let this happen?

"WHAT'S WRONG SAM?" STEVE ASKED, feeling like this was starting to become a repetitive routine. Once again, Bucky was already in bed, half asleep, the pillow over his head. Steve was half dressed, only in boxers as he prepared to climb into the large bed.
"Do you think we're ever going to meet her?" Sam asked softly as he rummaged through the dresser drawers. "Or is she going to just settle down with Hogun?"
"Why does it matter?" Bucky grunted. "We have Y/N and each other. If she wants to be with just Hogun that's fine."
Steve scrutinized Sam. Sam had a huge heart and could spread the love easily to all of them, including Y/N's sister if she came to play. But that huge heart would also be hurt if Y/N's sister rejected him- and the rest of them. He wasn't entirely sure if he wouldn't feel hurt by her rejection himself.
"Yes, we're going to meet her." Steve finally said as Sam came over to the bed. He had dark circles under his eyes and Steve wondered if he was actually losing sleep over this. It seemed unreasonable. "I can't promise anything about her accepting us though."
Sam nodded, sliding under the covers, curling up against Bucky. Steve smiled as he did this. Bucky grumbled as was jolted from near sleep, but wrapped an arm around Sam's waist to hold him closer.
Steve reached over to turn off the lights, wondering what Elizabeth looked like. He'd never seen a picture of her before. He supposed she looked something like Y/N. Except with brown hair and brown eyes and just a little younger.
'She takes after our dad in the facial features.' Y/N had said when Sam had inquired.
He wondered if Sam would eventually be disappointed when he met Elizabeth. He quickly pressed himself closer to Sam, wrapping an arm around him too. It didn't matter until she came. And that wouldn't be for a while.
In the meantime, he would just make sure his boy was loved and safe.
And he and Bucky would catch him if he fell.

Hiya Hellu :3 can I get Community 5, nature 17, and appearance 18 for Xinsia please ^^
Hello Laura! Fun to hear from you, hope you are having a good day. Thank you for asking! :D
🤝Community and Relationships - Who would your character first seek if they needed medical help?
In the beginning of the story, it is Aisu, her lieutenant. He's patched her up several times and she trusts him to care for him even if she'd be bleeding out. (Aisu doesn't necessarily like that she puts her life on his hands like that.) If it's a really bad injury, she'll go to the medics of the war camp and keep an eye on them so they don't give her a poisoning at the same time. It's a brutal Empire, you gotta keep your eyes open even when majorly injured. Later on the story, Xinsia won't have the possibility to ask Aisu anymore. Instead, she'll be going to a herbalist she picked up on the way and who becomes kind of an unofficial advisor to her!
🌤️Weather and Nature - Is your character good with plants?
Hmm, maybe? Xinsia can't handle anything that requires meticulous care, but as long as they are happy with getting water, having their dirt changed and some light pruning, she could do it. (With meticulous care I mean that they'd need exact time to not be in sunlight or very special circumstances.) Basically, she can do basic plant care, but rarely does it herself. Her life is very tied to service in the army or to the Empire, and she leaves plants to the care of the servants. In an AU where she is not a noble or a soldier, I could see her taking care of plants on a windowsill! :D
👕Appearance - Does your character have a favorite outfit?
Xinsia feels quite safe with her military uniform, since as long as it is in good condition, no one can really pick on her over that. It shows her position to everyone. It's not the most comfortable thing though. When she is at home, she likes wearing a comfortable, long tunic with loose pants (think of the traditional Vietnamese áo dài for length, but less form-fitting and intended for casual setting rather than formal). Nice to move in and depending on the fabric, enough warm or enough breezy for the season!
