Okay no because I wanna dissect nereid!achilles SO BAD!!! Like does he have 206 bones like a normal person? More? Less? Are they made of cartilage like a shark? Is he cold blooded? Would his blood be clear like a lobsters?

I love the different ways people portray him. Sometimes he’s straight up half fish, other times it’s purely instinct rather than looks, sometimes it’s an h2o just add water situation, other times it’s subtle differences like freaky eyes and sharp teeth and pointy ears.

Would be like a pretty tropical fish? A domesticated koi? A deep sea freak? Would be bioluminescent? Can he camouflage? Grow back limbs? Am I thinking too hard about this?

"Violet Sorrengail," she says finally, rising out of her curtsy and extending her hand to Xaden.  He brings his lips to her knuckles, kissing them chastely as he meets her eyes, and Violet's heart pounds underneath the layers of her dress and her corset. His stubble brushes against her skin, and her skin prickles at the sensation. Xaden's lips linger for a moment, like he, too, is trapped in this small pocket where time seems to have stopped and they are the only people around.  "The pleasure is all mine, Violet," he murmurs. Violet thinks she might've forgotten how to breath.
