Gravity Falls doodle dump!! Mostly Gideon. He's my favorite if you can't tell immediately, lol. I have zero time for drawing outside comms, but I had some time yesterday, while my mom and I were out and about doing errands. I had some spare printer paper on me to draw on. The first three of dipper and "canon" human bill, I actually drew when I was visiting with my cousins last week. And the last one of gideon flexing is a wip, I'm planning on making that a print. That wip sketch has been on patreon for a month or two actually :'D
But all this GF resurgence stuff has gotten me thinking about how I envision older gideon, again. I love him so much!!!!! I headcanon that he's a vampire, there's a little bit of that in here. Maybe more on that in another post??

Another year has passed, and with it the opportunity to reflect back on all that has happened. While my growth was not as dramatic as last year, I can still see lots of positive change.
I'll never have enough ways to say thank you for all the love and support you have given me this year. On to 2025!
(2023 summary here!)
#poorly drawn mdzs#art summary#Since last year's independent variable was PD-WWX; this year I used Lan Wangji.#Unfortunately his appearances were not very evenly distributed this year! Lots of LWJ's early in the year#then a dead period in the middle. He is forever my silly rabbit. I love drawing him!#If I have to put a label on this year; I'd describe it as 'experimental'. I pushed myself to do llots of new things!#I drew lots for dungeon meshi and that really boosted my growth. More body types -clothing details - expressions!#Ryoko Kui is a great artist to learn from and It made me realize that I had a lot to gain from doing more studies.#I also started working on a whole new genre of art! While it has taken a backburner spot - I'm working on a game now!#Digital art was my enemy last year but I have been getting a feel for it now.#Goals for this year is to 1) keep working on my personal projects 2) finish PD-MDZS! and 3) practice animation!#I didn't (couldn't) draw as much as I did last year...but I had to take a lesson in humility and taking care of myself.#Drawing is something I do 'for fun' but there were many times it became more stressful than it should.#I'm still learning how to find and maintain balance with everything life throws at me.#We are all works of progress and I am trying very hard to love the process and the journey! I don't really know my destination!#But I will keep taking steps forwards. I never want to be stuck and lost as I once was.#If 2024 was a rough year for you too; We're in this together. Let's keep taking steps together. No matter how small.#Love you all so very much. You've given me strength on the darkest days. Thank you thank you thank you.

megan thee stallion is the perfect example of unbothered energy. nicki has repeatedly vagueposted about her, gone on unhinged rants about her, gone so far as to mention her dead mother (such a classless low blow), threatened her on live, and has now released the tackiest diss track in history. and what has megan done? literally nothing. she straight up ignored her, aside from that one ig story where she posted herself laughing (which was perfect btw). she is the epitome of “i will not dignify that w a response.” i love it.

i appreciate that in the boba fett expanded universe canon, we have multiple moments from multiple authors that boil down to "despite his reputation/appearance, boba fett is not fearless, and is in fact doing his level best right now to walk calmly away from this objectively terrifying situation rather than breaking into a fucking sprint in the opposite direction"

About Eddie Fender and why he was a dick to Miles
I first started this post in response to something, but it got so long I decided against inflicting it on OP. This is very long and very meandering and the form is kinda weird, as a warning. It's also kinda spoilery for Ace Attorney Investigations 2.
When we first start playing AAI2 and are introduced to "Ace Attorney Eddie Fender," it's true he doesn't come across as very likeable. The first thing he says to Miles is basically "Oh, look! Here comes Manfred von Karma," and the game happens three years after the truth about DL-6 came out. That's incredibly low, very petty, cruel even. He does start off as a dick to Miles, unfair on him until he gradually realises he isn't as bad as he thought, and as he starts warming up to Miles we start warming up to him.
But also... I kind of get it.
Like... Imagine you're 19 years old. Your boss just died in a sudden and shocking murder. You inherit the law firm even though you haven't even passed the bar yet. You're grieving as you keep working hard to become an attorney, now without the guidance you used to have. Maybe you even blame yourself a little - after all, you worked on that case too, you were likely there for the trial, you left both Edgeworths to take that elevator by themselves. Had things played out differently you would have been there, too.
Did you think of your boss's son, in the middle of this whirlwind? Probably a little, but you're a 19 year-old law student. You're nowhere near a suitable place in your life to even think about fostering a kid. Besides, Gregory Edgeworth was your boss. Someone you greatly admired and whose death you will never stop mourning, but still just your boss.
(It's unclear how well Eddie knew Miles. Enough for Miles to recognise him instantly, but certainly not as close as Miles and Phoenix were.)
You take it on yourself to continue the work he left behind, to help the clients Gregory can no longer help. For ten years you try your best to uphold the reputation and the values of his firm and name, and every day you witness a little more how corrupt the system really is.
Then, one day, you start hearing about this young new prosecuting upstart. Passed the bar at 20 and already has the legal world in his pocket. Rumours of forged evidence, backstreet deals, manipulated witnesses. Not only is that just like the whole lot of them, the tactics you became so familiar with over the years - no, it sounds painfully, specifically familiar to that one long, drawn-out case, the last one you worked with Gregory. It turns out the young prodigy is the student and protégé of Mr. Perfection himself, the man who never lost a case in thirty-five years, even though he should have lost against you ten years ago if the world was even a little fair. You would hate the boy for that alone, but on top of that he's also the son of the mentor you lost, the son of the man you both used to admire so very much.
And that hurts. That none of Gregory's legacy lived on in his son. That this sweet, kind boy, who Gregory always used to worry about not making any friends, became a parody of all they used to despise.
Perhaps you even get to see him. You catch a glance of him in the courthouse corridor as he passes you by without so much as a nod to acknowledge you, or you stumble upon a picture in the same paper that struck Phoenix Wright so deeply. You see that damn suit. That damn smirk. That damn waggly finger. His features may have something of Gregory but everything in him screams von Karma. He's spent a decade trying to shape himself into him, and it shows.
Prosecutors are a privileged bunch, and the Edgeworth kid grew up into a downright brat. Entitled. Rude. Arrogant. Obsessed with his fucking perfect record. You hear he goes around cutting the salaries of detectives that make a tenth of what he does and insulting the opposing counsel in court. He became the worst of them all, taught by the worst of them all, he is everything Gregory fought against and everything you hate.
Why would you want to associate with that? Why would you ever think he is not perfectly fine where he is, with his cushy office and his cushy sports car and his doubtlessly cushy pay?
A couple years later you hear he's been arrested for murder. Maybe you follow the trial, maybe you only see the headlines after everything, after DL-6 is finally solved. Honestly, that's when you start having a reason to reach out. When, had you been less embittered and jaded by the thanklessness of your job, you might have wondered what it was like for him to grow up in the shadow of his father's murderer. You might have been stricken with compassion and horror at the thought of fifteen years spent in crushing guilt, believing he killed the father he used to love so much. You might have empathised, despite your contempt for von Karma, with how his ward might feel to be so cruelly betrayed, thrice over, by the man who raised him since he was nine, who taught him everything before throwing him away like a piece of used junk.
But you still think of how he was like a son to von Karma, of how he got to spend fifteen years in wealth, following a shiny, easy, corrupt new path while you grieved and desperately tried to keep the pieces of your shared dream together. You think of how uneasy Gregory seemed with the idea of von Karma as a teacher, you think of how eager Miles seemed to follow in his footsteps and how much Gregory would have hated it. You think of the many defendants this boy callously condemned with barely a thought, just like his mentor. Of how he may not have his father's blood on his hands, but with the way he acts you'd think he had his murderer's in his veins. And you really, really don't want to deal with any of that.
You think, somewhat unfairly, that maybe Miles ought to have seen it coming. It's not like it's much of a secret that Manfred von Karma is a piece of shit, and good riddance to him.
Three years later, you actually have to interact with him again. It's been 18 years since you last saw him in his father's shadow, looking at him like he hung the stars in the sky, back when everything was so simple for the three of you. It's been 3 years since the truth about his oh-so-esteemed mentor was uncovered. He still wears the cravat. His brow is still furrowed, his eyes are still piercing.
But slowly, begrudgingly, you talk to him. You start realising he actually has some honour to him. That he's not really the Demon Prosecutor the papers made him out to be, that maybe you misjudged him a little bit, in you grief-stricken, angry bitterness. That maybe he can be trusted, after all, with his father's legacy.
Why would you think he ever needed saving?

Oliver's road trip post made me think about what if after the break up Buck, instead of baking, just tells Bobby he needs some time off and he just packs up his Jeep and starts driving.
It's a little like when he left Pennsylvania except that this time he's going to come back...he just needs the time. He just can't be in LA where he's just constantly reminded of Tommy.
So he's out there camping and sleeping in his car and sometimes getting a hotel room. Along the way he finally starts to think about what it means for him to be bisexual. He stops at LGBTQ spaces and is even tempted - since he is single - to hook up with someone. He doesn't. Maybe he picks up a book to read when he stops places and maybe he meets people that give him perspective. They hear Buck's story and tell him where he went wrong with Tommy.
He winds up at some point picking up a doggie friend because a stray just started following him around and so at least he isn't alone. He names him Pilot.
He winds up extending the trip a couple of times and Bobby doesn't mind. Not like Buck ever took time off before so he has plenty of PTO accumulated. Along the way Buck does help some people out...he can't not. It's who he is.
When he talks to Eddie he doesn't ask about Tommy. Maddie tries to make him come back early by telling him that she's pregnant. Eddie tells him he might not be in LA when Buck returns, he's thinking about moving back to Texas.
Maybe Buck ends up all the way in Pennsylvania and he goes home to his parents. They think his dog is menace but they let Buck bring it inside the house anyway and Buck doesn't stay long but he also tells them about Tommy and they tell him he needs to just go home already.
He makes the drive back to LA, stopping at places and sight seeing and even visiting old friends. Maybe he even runs into Abby and so they get talking and Buck brings up Tommy and Abby finds the whole thing hilarious and then she shares a little about Tommy...stuff that he never told Buck but that he'd told Abby because they were engaged at one point so she had known him pretty well. And Abby maybe even admits that she turned a blind eye to who Tommy really was because she wanted the happy ending.
It gives Buck a lot to think about on the drive back and then when he gets to LA, he doesn't go to his apartment. He goes straight to Tommy's house.
Buck is a mess. He's been driving for hours and the last shower he took was at a run down motel. He hasn't shaved in days. His car smells like dog and dirty laundry and take-out. Actually, it's also flashing a whole bunch of lights at him and it's started to make a weird sound.
Tommy is shocked to see him, even more shocked to see the dog, and he's definitely concerned by the noise he heard the car making.
Buck tells him they need to talk and Tommy just nods and Buck tells him about the trip and about everything he discovered about himself and then he talks about his parents and then he talks about Abby and then he talks about Tommy and he talks about the two of them and he asks Tommy for a second chance.
Then, he asks Tommy if he wants a dog because technically speaking his apartment is no pets allowed.
Tommy says yes to both and then also demands Buck stay because Tommy wants to look at his car in the morning.
They eat dinner together and talk more after they give the dog a bath and Buck gets a shower. Buck feels like the whole thing has been too easy. When Buck asks Tommy what he's been up to the whole time Tommy just sighs.
"Waiting for you, apparently."
Because as it turns out, Tommy was just a little late to catch him before he left and then he figured Buck would come back. It gave him his own time to think and yeah some nights he worried about Buck out there on his own and he wondered if maybe he wasn't alone. He hated that he had no right to be mad if Buck did find someone else, but he couldn't help the jealousy that rose up and he couldn't help how angry he was at himself.
But he waited. He let himself have a tiny bit of hope because he'd realized within days of walking out of the loft that he'd made a huge mistake.
That night, they both take some time to reacquaint themselves with each other's bodies and they wake up tangled up with a dog whining for food. Neither of them would have it any other way.
