Yall ever think about how there’s some trios in fandoms/media that are like all besties but you can’t ship them all together?

Like take Harry potter’s golden trio for example; Ron and hermione is canon, Harry and hermione was almost canon, but Harry and Ron are very rarely seen as a ship (mostly because of their friendship is very sibling-like imo)

In heroes of Olympus, take the lost hero trio; Piper and Jason was, of course, canon (for a bit anyway), and Valgrace is hugely popular as a ship, but you never see a Piper and Leo pairing because, again, very sibling-like friendship (also Piper is gay but case in point)

A final example (and what made me think of this) is charlotte, jasper, and Henry from Henry danger. Charlotte and Henry were the most popular ship, and were inches away from being canon, jasper and Henry were huge in the fandom but never was charlotte shipped with jasper

I just think it’s so interesting how common the combination of “three people that can be shipped in multiple ways, but there’s one ship that just doesn’t work” happens

They don't help the actual artist because 1) nobody's going to search for that same piece of art and share it twice, and 2) most are going to gloss over the unlinked name of the credited artist and never look them up. These accounts are only created to bring traction to their own page.

a lot of people in fandom spaces will hate/demonize female characters for the same reasons they love/romanticize male characters and sometimes it’s not holding male villains/anti heroes accountable for their actions the way that female villains/anti heroes are and sometimes it’s hating female heroes/anti heroes for their personalities/flaws/attributes/trauma responses whilst romanticizing male characters for having the same or very similar characterization?? like hi why so many double standards??

Lately there's been this discussion going around about Beefleaf shippers dismissing He Xuan's fiancée, and this argument just...confuses me?

People can fall in love more than once. He Xuan might have been in love with other people before he proposed to his fiancée, we can't know. Him growing fond of Shi Qingxuan doesn't mean he's forgetting about her. 

Yes, avenging her and his blood family is his reason for not moving on. No, Beefleaf isn't canon. But after He Xuan has fulfilled that revenge, it's very obvious that Shi Qingxuan becomes his new reason for lingering. Whether that has romantic or platonic connotations is up to the reader, but either way it can't be denied that He Xuan cares about Shi Qingxuan a great deal. That does NOT mean he stopped caring about his fiancée, and I think assuming that shipping Beefleaf disregards her is doing shippers a great disservice, not to mention how it takes away depth from He Xuan as a character.

find it Extremely Strange that the constant reaction to that is that tommy's perception of time is unreliable and therefore we should work off of the assumption that it's wrong.

like don't get me wrong, that could Absolutely be an intentional aspect of a story about mental health and trauma. loss of time is a really common symptom, for instance. I struggle with the passage of time a lot when my mental health gets bad in a certain way.

but it's strange to me because the fandom Only does this with tommy.

wilbur says that he spent 9 years in superhell and this is taken unquestionably at face value, even as the fandom refuses to age him up to reflect this. the entire Idea of what limbo is and what it does to people was changed to accommodate wilbur's description of it. and it's just taken for granted that wilbur's perception of his time there is completely 100% correct.

and I'm not saying that we Should start questioning it, but being in an infinite void with absolutely no contact with the outside world that never changes seems far more disorienting time-wise than like. living on a beach where you can see the sun rise and fall every day.

but it's Assumed that wilbur must know while it's insisted over and over again that tommy's own perception cannot be trusted.

and this is all Especially weird because ! tommy Wasn't the only person who referenced the amount of time that passed. dream was very much so Also there. when tommy commented on going without a visitor for days at a time (outside of dream himself) dream would agree. when tommy referenced weeks dream would agree.

and yes, dream put the Gaslight in girlboss. he very much so Wants tommy to be out of touch with reality and unsteady on his feet. but you'd think pointing Out that discrepancy would Be The Point.

when tommy hallucinated tubbo dream was there to tell him that his perception of reality was wrong. that tommy should stop listening to his own mind and start listening to dream instead. that when dream tells him that something happened one way then it Did regardless of what he thinks he remembers.

so if tommy really Was wrong, if his perception of time in exile was off by Literal Months. you'd think dream would've taken Advantage of that instead of just. letting it slide.

it's just Strange that this appears to be a double standard. people don't even argue that Fundy's perception of time is wrong when he insists that he's been on vacation for a full year after like, a month long break from streaming.

After the disaster that was Bads last try at a rp romanctic relationship, I don’t think he’ll try again. As much as I would love him to (I’m very partial to ayhalo), I don’t think he will. Bad was branching out and trying something new with the last one I think, and it was something that took a lot of time for him to get used to the thought and be comfortable with it. He eventually was very comfortable with it and enjoyed himself rp-ing it. Then everything crashed and burned and I think he locked everything back up again. This is just my thoughts and I could be completely wrong. 100% not pushing anything on Bad or trying to speak for him. This is kinda what I observed and some 3am ramblings

Lol, this became a rant, but whatever ..

If you really love/like him, you will know that he is the same big hearted, passionate guy. He is just growing and healing into loving himself and prioritizing himself. Which is literally what he was NOT doing. He always waited for someone to love him, and sometimes he put himself last or in danger to gain that love. buck always put everyone else before himself, his happiness, his needs. And yes, maybe at a point that WAS what brings him happiness, and what he felt he needed, so at the time that what he did. But if you do that, you reach a point of breaking because it never was what you needed. You were just covering it with something else. Even when he did something prioritizing what he wanted (the lawsuit), part of why he did it was to be around the safe and comfort zone he knew. And when he did it, everyone hated him for it. After that, i don't think he was in a position requiring him to choose drastically between his happiness and someone else's needs (tbh i don't remember, but maybe i need a rewatch lol), until s7 happened and we saw him being more grown, breaking up with Natalia, every thing that happened with tommy, dealing with bobby being in the hospital (yes we didnt see a lot but we can assume ig). He choose himself and his happiness, he chose to be with tommy when he needed it, he knew how much he have to "help" eddie, pointing out things and guiding your friend is actually enough! If i am doing something wrong, i don't need my friend to force me in the path they see right, i need them to point it out and let me think and decide by myself.. anyway, Buck is growing in his character. i dont care if you love or hate him, just dont ignore the growth and work he is done and doing on himself 🤨

I just think people who say that want him to be the same play boy from S1...

I really hate when people only paint a disorder with positive aspects and don’t touch up on the negative factors. (And anytime they do, they just put it as the “Anti” side, from what I’ve seen)

Now, don’t twist my words on this; I’m not saying that talking about a disorder shouldn’t be negative. I talk about my stuff a lot in a positive light, but it still affects me negatively in a bunch of ways. Half of the time, my disabilities are NOT positive. Autism, adhd, being a system, my body.. everything. And I’m so tired of it.

I can’t do so much shit so many other people can do. I can’t stand up for long, I can’t run without feeling like my legs are gonna give out on me any second, I can’t dance or enjoy life happily without my lungs losing air and forcing me to sit down longer then I can do anything. I feel so uncomfortable knowing I’m not just one person in a body, that my headmates help me because I can’t help myself.

I haven’t been able to clean up my room or brush my teeth in months, my legs are literally growing weaker and I’m constantly on the verge of just breaking down anytime I go out. I can’t go anywhere without being picked on by my parents on how I look, I can’t finish things with how fast we switch, how tiny and small my memory is, and how little time I can spend on technology without the screen being too bright. I cant join things I really want to because either someone who makes us have bad relapses or I can’t do it due to my mental/physical stuff.

I can’t live “normally” because I can’t function at all. And I can’t seem to speak on this because people are constantly saying that disorders aren’t supposed to always be sad. It is for me and SO many other people.

Can we also stop saying so much of the negative shit comes from the anti-endo side, as well? I’ve seen multiple posts about this and it makes me want to go crazy. Being a system is NOT all about headmates and happy moments, there’s negative and bad moments with it. If I could get rid of my disabilities, I would.

Being disabled is not all happy, fun moments, period.

Sorry for the rant. This has been on my mind for DAYS and I just finally wanted to say it.

I saw someone say Banhammer was "ancient" even though he is just 46, like, yeah he's the oldest Phighter but he's not THAT old, that's probably younger than most of you guys' parents smh. Like, being in your 40s ain't ancient by any means, that's MIDDLE aged, like MIDDLE of your life, you're not an old person yet.

That's like the prime years of some people's lives.
