I'm looking for a beta reader for the first time in probably 20 years... or maybe a discord community to toss ideas back and forth with...

I'm currently writing explicit (bdsm/kink, abo, dub-con/non-con recovery) fic. This IS a new psued (not someone new to the internet/fandom/etc.) and that's because I don't really want to cross the streams as it were, between this fiction and the rest of my digital footprint.

I have a ton of momentum behind me right now in the form of 50k words of Justified kink (ha!) in one series (I already posted part 1), another ~50k of Justified ABO, as well as the start of four more Jacob Pitts-centric fics (fandoms include Justified, The Pacific, and one very bizarre Sinner-influenced prostitute AU- I don't even know, guys)

So... if you're interested in beta reading, know someone who is, know of a discord (and maybe don't mind coaching someone through joining a discord for the first time?) or are just willing to signal boost, I'd be grateful.

Sort of feels like the writer’s strike gave the team a lot to ruminate on and a lot of pivots came out of that. Want to be clear: I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. It bums me out that we’ve lost characters and actors I adore, but that was always going to be this kind of show. And they’ve proven they were willing to let the narrative breathe from the start: that’s why we had Laura Lee so long, it’s why Adam wasn’t Javi, it’s why Van got to grow up. I love that. I love writers that don’t get so cemented in their initial plan that they can’t evolve.

Where I do get a little finicky is everyone insisting it’s a “trade” for Swank, or that “a background character did this!” Melissa’s been getting fleshed out all season. You think that was an accident? Shauna’s paranoid murder of one lover looked crazy in season one, but now we’re in season three and we find out this is a pattern. Paranoia. Hard-and-fast ill-advised love affairs that turn vicious. Building her own enemy out of an innocent. Adam truly couldn’t see it coming, but Melissa gets decades to dwell. Melissa, who was introduced as someone who thought cannibalism wouldn’t be the worst thing. Melissa, who stood at Shauna’s back until it proved bad for her specifically. Shauna’s always been the heart of the story, the teammate whose eyes we stare through. Of course it’ll all come down to her. And of course she needs someone to go head to head with. She thinks she’s only haunted by Jackie, so obsessed with this ghost that she forgot (well, I guess didn’t realize, due to Faked Suicide) she fully crafted a very-alive haunting of her narrative. You don’t escape the awful shit you’ve done. It will follow you. That’s the whole point of this character. Do I want her instead of Van? Obviously not. But for this story of never forgiving, of carrying your sins home and being eaten alive by them? Yeah, I get it.

Thinking about very well-endowed boys, perhaps endowed a little too much for their own good — with no idea how to properly use the thing.

No self-awareness, no experience. The moment you give a green light, this man just shoves his way in like a battering ram. You were at least expecting some degree of foreplay or buildup, but you don't get that. He has the audacity to tilt his head and hm?when you jolt and hiss.

Oh. It hurts you? You probably just didn't relax enough. That's okay. You'll feel better soon. You don't even get time to tell him that it's because he has no self-awareness of his size before you're tensing up and gasping again when it just slides out and slams back in. You see stars, and not in a good way.

You stutter out something about being too big. But big is good, right? That's what he's always heard. So it's just a matter of you getting to adjust. That'll definitely happen as he goes. No worries.

You're pretty sure your cervix hates you for making the decision to sleep with this boy, a choice you're sort of coming to regret as you find yourself pulled close to him with a harsh grip on your waist — that, too, is something he seems lacking self-awareness of, the fact that he's probably literally going to leave little bruises all along your waist.

It does feel a bit better as he moves and your body adjusts, insides expanding to allow more room… but no matter how much you do, it's not fully enough. You can still acutely feel him inside, the way it bulges and pushes against your walls, the friction as it drags back and forth, the way even at the peak of your own arousal, the tip keeps slamming into that so painfully sensitive spot. Even your toys never touched that part, you weren't even aware until now that you possessed the capacity to feel it so acutely.

At least when you tell him, he apologizes, says it won't happen again… but he seems far more pleased by the ego boost of this, apparently new to him, information. You get the sense that it will, in fact, happen again.

And it does. You blame yourself, honestly, for finding yourself in this situation again, but he's just so cute… only this time, you quickly find that being on your stomach makes it infinitely worse, and his hand on the back of your head, unintentionally shoving your face into the pillow and muffling your attempts to tell him to slow down, does not help.

God, why did you let it come to this… your thoughts are barely coherent from the sheer overwhelming sensation, your brain practically short-circuiting, unable to do anything but process the feeling.

But it stretches you out so good and presses against the good spot too, so unfortunately, you end up with admittedly one of the strongest orgasms of your life, spasming and squirting and making the lewdest of sounds. So, it clearly was good, this is reassuring for him, positive reinforcement. He's too occupied with basking in pride with this accomplishment to notice your groaning at first — but don't worry, once he does notice, he'll dote on you, of course. But no matter how many times you say it, he seems to simply get lost in the ego boost and then he... forgets. And admittedly, you too seem to consistently keep coming back, against your better judgement.

He forgets when he has both hands locked into your hair, wrapped around your head, so lost in the wet, warm feeling that he's jerking your head like it's some kind of toy — your jaw hurts, every thrust feels like it's going to tear your throat apart, and it goes so far down that you're fighting your gag reflex every single second. And worst of all, you can't tell him to stop, can't get a word out when his cock is relentlessly pounding your skull.

He just forgot. He forgets when he flips you onto your front side and pulls your hips up, forgets that you said that position is the absolute worst because of how deep it goes — but see, from his perspective, it feels best because he gets to fully bottom out inside, and it’s just so good, you wouldn't understand.

Besides, the faster you recover, the sooner you'll stop being mad and glaring at him (it hurts his feelings, this is important), and the sooner you'll get to have sex again (he depends on it now, this is in large part due to your actions, so you have some responsibility to take).

He's even learned how to roll his hips so smoothly, thanks to you, and now it shouldn't hurt so much… now it's less of an earth-shattering jolt of pain, and more of a gentle pain, you know, like poking a bruise. But hey, that's improvement.

Oh I misread that last post actually. While Jason's loneliness definitely resonates, I don't think it's self made in the slightest.

If anything he's guilty of reaching out at any cost - originally by using violence and antagonism to force interaction (UTRH and BiB, arguably the titans tower thing), and later by consistently showing up when called no matter how badly he's been treated, doing Bruce's bidding, and being 110% willing to sacrifice himself for the cause in the hopes that it'll finally be enough, even though it never is.

Thinking about how the Stan twins were both taught from a young age that life is a matter of transactions. How they were valued only for the money they could bring their family, and how this shaped their lives in such different ways.

Ford was the intelligent one, and this made him valuable. He knew what he had to offer. He knew he was important. (He had to be. Experience had shown him that love was conditional. He had to earn it. He had to be enough.) When Bill Cipher approached him, he confirmed everything Ford wanted so desperately to believe about himself. Imagine that sense of excitement, of accomplishment, of pride and power and relief. Imagine having that final, unshakeable source of external validation - that this being that knew everything and could have chosen anyone, chose you. Imagine knowing exactly what you could do to please this being and, with the understanding that love is conditional, knowing that you could fulfill the requirements for that love. Imagine knowing exactly how to ensure you would be loved, not just by that being but by the family you uplifted and the future you created. All you had to do was satisfy your own curiosity… all you had to do was build a portal. Is it any wonder that Ford fell for Bill’s tricks?

Then we have Stan, the failure. If love was transactional, he could never pay the fee. He knew people only helped you if you had something to offer. And he had nothing to offer, so why would anyone ever help him? Why would anyone care? Of course he didn’t fall for Bill. He couldn’t. When Bill promised gifts and power and happiness, how could Stan believe a word he said? In a world without altruism, such promises could never be trusted. There was always a price to be paid - and Stan had never been able to pay it.

And so the end of the world was triggered and then averted, all because one brother thought he could earn the world’s love, while the other knew he would never earn anything good.
