After a long time stalling, I’ve finally read Dwelling. Also because of this immaculate work of @sits-bound, and @tackytigerfic’s caution encouragement. I may have survived, but not without a crater in my chest made by thousands of shards. Here’s my sloppy attempt to patch that up.

Branch: No I’m 24, I’m younger than all of you.

Boom: You don’t look it.

have you ever thought about shelled sea animals and like how they feel to get washed up on shore like. imagine being in your shell about it. imagine the many eyes of a scallop tuned to recognising motion and ocntrast seeing things move unusually. imagine all your ways of motion working poorely. is this clear do you understand. its like a different world that you sometimes have to go to where everytthing is different and there might be things that can kill you

*Casually overanalyzes Kismet and BroZone’s collab at the end of the movie because I want to try and guess their personalities*

We already know Branch was the lead singer in this one (sorry for making you look silly here, Ablaze) and he was looking at the camera, looking at US

If Branch told Kismet about BroZone, they could have made him the main lead so he felt more included, more important

Ablaze looked directly at us and winked. We already know this guy is the attractive, flirty one, no analysis needed. He’s ‘The Heartthrob’ but I imagine he would call himself ‘The Heartstopper’ cuz that sounds more fitting

We also know this guy is the optimistic silly one based on vibes alone. If they know about Branch going grey, he could have wanted to keep everyone’s spirits up to make sure that didn’t happen to anyone else (bonus points if he’s really just a silly himbo, but I imagine it’s a choice)

Both Branch and Hype stared at us during this part and Hype provided the back-up vocals so I imagine he’s like the second-in-command. Most likely the main back-up singer for Branch

The way Trickee turned and clearly watched his band mates makes me think he’s the big brother of the band, taking care of everyone and making sure everything goes well

It’s easy to assume these guys are like a found-family or see each other as brothers and I personally agree with it. They care about each other and they chose their own titles rather than had it forced on them so they’re happy as they are. That’s assuming they HAVE titles like BroZone did

Since they went looking for Branch, they could have had their own little ‘break’ when Branch refused to sing or Branch himself took a break from the band and they’re happy he’s back. They even stepped off the stage so Branch could sing with his family so if they DO know about what happened with BroZone, they respected his choice to perform with them again

I imagine Kismet giving Branch lots of hugs backstage after the performance

KISMET HEADCANNONS for some future fan stuff I wanna make... Goes with this post kinda

Under a cut because it's LONG (the fixation has been REAL)

Gen

They band was formed shortly after the events of Trolls 1. It's the only way they make sense in my mind's timeline.

Branch was trying to get more involved with Troll village without relying on Poppy to connect him with people. He formed his own group of friends, and they became Kismet after realizing how much they enjoyed harmonizing/performing together.

These guys give me frat boy energy for some reason. They just collectively become more chaotic when they're around each other. Yes, even Branch. He and Hype play hot potato with the braincell because otherwise, nothing would get done in this group.

As they got to know one another, teasing one another became their primary love language. Lots of jabs and quips will fly among them when they're together, but they each know it's all in good fun.

Branch

Branch kept his involvement in the band a secret because, well...y'know. He has complicated history with being in a boyband, so he wanted to explore his feelings about Kismet without being bombarded with input from people outside the group.

He's fond of his friends and genuinely enjoys being a part of the band though! He just wants to be sure he's a part of this boy band because he's happy being with them and not because he's trying to recapture something he'd lost 20 years ago.

At first, the others were (understandably) hurt by Branch's desire to keep his place in the band a secret, but after he explained his reasons, they were willing to support him.

They were absolutely thrilled when he finally becomes open about the band though!

During the secrecy period, when he performs in Pop Village, he hides his identity behind a disguise that somehow works (Branch, every time it works: "wtf????"), and he goes by a stage name.

Hype

Officially the group leader, but he's more of a mediator than anything. He relies on the rest of the group to give their input for any big band decisions, but he coordinates band meetings, schedules gigs, and works out compromises if there's any group conflicts.

He and Branch had been childhood friends before The Incident(s) estranged them. Back in the Troll Tree, they'd been neighbors whose parents (Branch's grandma; Hype's mom) set up on frequent playdates, so they'd been really close.

They reconnected after the events of movie 1, Hype introduced Branch to Trickee and later Boom. Trickee brought in Ablaze and the rest was history.

Hype is a social butterly but he's otherwise one of the more calm personalities in the group. He feeds off of other people's energy and is a bit of a people-pleaser. Luckily, he's pretty good at finding the right crowd to run with, otherwise he'd probably land in so much trouble.

Boom

Hype's cousin, and a big party person! Before the band took off, he DJ'd at a party venue in Pop Village. That same place was also where Kismet got their first gig!

He loves loud music and flashy parties where he can shine on the dance floor and make memories people he may only know for a night.

Peak ADHD Energy™. He's a chatterbox. He has no volume control. He tunnel visions so hard, he becomes that B99 headphones meme. The man has cool guy syndrome, no doubt about it!

For the creation of the Band earliest albums, Boom took charge as the producer. He loves messing with music, mixing and remixing sounds on his free time and experimenting with the genre.

Trickee

A thrill-seeking menace to society. He's adventurous and loves taking huge risks for the adrenaline rush. He's the type of guy who would go down a waterfall in a barrel or ski down a dangerous mountain just to see if he survives it.

Everyone in the band is in agreement about protecting Trickee from his own shenanigans. They are 70% of his self-preservation senses.

He also loves a party scene and can often be found with Boom leading the charge towards any good time.

You know that sense of dread before performing in front of a crowd? The way your belly flips and your heart races and you're sure you're shaking hard enough for everyone to see? Trickee lives for that shit when he's in the band. The jitters can get to him, for sure, but afterwards, the man is LIVING from coming out alive on the other side, and he's sharing that thrill with everyone else in the band!

Ablaze

A Rock Troll who has lived among the Pop Trolls since he was a teenager. He stumbled across them while looking for a place to belong, and despite what he was raised to believe about Pop Trolls, he came to love their warmth and friendliness. So he moved in and let everyone assume he was just an odd-looking Pop Troll.

He an Trickee are housemates (podmates?)--not for romantic reasons but because they're longtime friends. When Trickee moved out of his family's home, Ablaze invited him over, and they liked the living arrangement enough to keep it permanent.

At first, Ablaze isn't open about his identity as a Rock Troll, but as he grew closer with the other members of Kismet, he came out to them. By the events of Trolls 2, he's open about being a Rock Troll.

Ablaze's personality sits somewhere in the realm of both chaotic and laid back. On the outside, he's usually pretty chill, but if Boom or Trickee have trouble afoot, Ablaze is usually there egging them on in the background, much to Branch's dismay.

He becomes extremely energetic when he's performing. The more exciting the song, the more vibrant he becomes! The energy is one of the reasons he loves pop music so much, but he can also get hyped from performing rock music. He gets kinda intense though lmao.

The first time the rest of Kismet sees him jamming to rock, they're like "OH. He's definitely a rock troll O_O" They support their rock-n-roll brethren 🤟😔

He has a special interest in fire, particularly fireworks. Back in Pop Village, he even made a business of it, making small rockets, sparklers, and other celebratory items for all your Pop party needs.

Anyway that's all the headcannon stuff I'll share for now. Hope y'all liked reading xD I'm really hoping my attention span will stick around long enough for me to share more in the future, because this fixation has been A Time™/pos

It's wip wednesday AND my birthday???? Howd I get so lucky?!?

Could I have some more magic made them do it? Tbh it's probably one of my favorite of the current wips

He doesn't kiss Thirteen back, but Thirteen doesn't seem to mind. Just–the bastard won't stop kissing him, for some reason, and won’t stop trying to play at doing it gentle, for some even less fathomable reason. 

Match should never have even kissed this idiot to begin with, much less be letting him do it like this. 

“You’re so fucking annoying,” he mutters into the kiss, and Thirteen grins against his mouth and then just kisses him again. He’s not even using his fucking teeth or anything, just . . . it’s fucking stupid. Which–so is Thirteen, so Match should really have been expecting more “stupid” by now anyway, considering. 

But the fact he should’ve expected the stupid doesn’t make Thirteen any less fucking annoying. 

“Hm . . . where’d we leave off?” Thirteen murmurs, stroking an actually soft hand up the side of Match’s ribs. Match considers murdering him. He could, if he wanted to. Thirteen’s too busy being fucking stupid to have his guard up right now. 

“Leave what off?” he asks in irritation, since apparently Thirteen can’t just fucking clarify, and Thirteen grins again and curls his fingers against his ribs. 

“So I came the first time when you fucked me,” he starts, and then keeps listing off one by one: “Second was when you bent me in half and grabbed my dick harder than a fucking trash compacter. Third was . . . mmm, was that when we cracked the bedframe?” 

. . . Match should definitely murder him, yes. 

“That was the second time,” he says, eyeing him with an unimpressed expression.

“Right, right,” Thirteen agrees with a smirk that looks far too fucking smug, which makes Match pretty much positive the idiot only “forgot” because he wanted to get him involved in this stupid . . . whatever, exactly. Countdown. Tally? What the fuck ever, again. “Then you kept fucking me without even giving me a fucking minute, you asshole, so then the third was when you finger-fucked my own come down my throat like a fucking weirdo, and you finally came that round, so–” 

“You mean when you came because I reminded you that you thought I was your brother,” Match corrects dubiously. Thirteen flushes briefly, then clears his throat and waves him off. 

“Like I said, you finally came that round, you slow-ass fuck, and then the damn spell worked,” Thirteen says. “Then I got off again riding you–” 

“–got off because I bothered to kiss you,” Match corrects, and Thirteen flushes darker and scowls at him. 

“–riding you,” he repeats louder, the lying idiot, and then continues, “and then I let you hit it from the back and you got off too, and then you were embarrassing as fuck at Rob–” 

“And then you begged me to go out with you while your baby brother's dick was splitting your slut ass in half,” Tim cuts in mildly, and Thirteen turns scarlet.

Months after the war, their rivalry had somewhat softened, evolving into almost-amicable banter and mischief. Once, the Great Hall burst into laughter as two ball-shaped heads wandered the castle. This was a punishment from McGonagall during Transfigurations class, when Harry's misfired spell hit Draco's head, prompting swift retaliation. Surprisingly, Draco kept his buzzcut the next morning, and some days more.

Later, as a couple, Harry would sometimes wake up to see Draco's near-perfect oval head and feel a pang of longing for his platinum-blonde locks. They had always framed his face perfectly, but Harry loved this no less: the feel of his hands over Draco's prickly scalp, the change in the planes of his head, and the barely noticeable ridge from a scar on his temple.

When Draco woke, he’d always tell Harry why he shaved his hair. Sometimes though, Draco would keep to himself, lost in thought as he smooths a nonexistent strand over his ear. During these moments, Harry would find himself reaching for a muggle razor in their bathroom, and then returning to their kitchen with uneven patches. He’d always done a poor job, and Draco would mock him mercilessly before fixing it, a small grin forming on his lips.

“I’m still taller.”

“Only if you tell me what’s on your mind.”

“Fine.”
