SH Day 3- Addicted to your touch
Day 3 – Addicted to your touch Separation Anxiety
WARNING: MENTAL ILLNESS
Disclaimer: I am not a therapist, the advice I gave in this piece might be very faulty, please take it with a grain of salt.
Modern AU, OOC
@sasuhinamonth
It all started small, when one day Sasuke announced that he’d be gone for 2 weeks due to work, the news alone made Hinata’s heartache but she smiled and wished him good luck on the project and a safe trip. Each day the feeling of missing him would grow and grow and grow until it was too big for her body to contain, and the feeling turned to pain. Her longing made her physically sick by the end of the second week.
The next stage was composed of excessive calls and texts, Hinata constantly needed to know where he was, what he was doing, whenever he’d take too long to reply the longing would come back and she’d either sink into sadness or lose herself to anger, both feelings she had not experienced much since dating Sasuke. Whenever he’d reply after a longer break, she’d ask him to come over to her house and stay the night.
That was the case on August 3rd. Sasuke came straight to her house after a long day at the office and Hinata ran to hug him, all of the negative feelings almost forgotten the moment she laid her eyes on him. His touch alone made all of her worries disappear. That was the feeling of home, in his arms.
They spent the night normally, eating dinner while watching a movie, changing and going to bed because they both had work in the morning. The issue came with the sunrise, for Hinata refused to let him leave. She cried and begged and screamed the moment he brought up work, she tore his shirt apart reasoning that he couldn’t go to work without one. The moment the white fabric hit the ground; silence fell over the room. Both of them were shocked, unable to speak due to her outburst of emotions.
Her cried aggravated, she fell to her knees and crawled to where he was, hugging his waist, apologizing over and over again. Sasuke was in deep thought, remembering all the small signs over the past month and a half. It hurt him to think that he had hurt her in any way to drive her to this moment, he patted her hair lovingly, took a deep breath and said in a broken voice “I think there’s something wrong Hina”
She looked at him with big round eyes, they were glossy and red, she blinked and looked down at the floor. “There might be…” Sasuke picked her up by her armpits and placed her in his lap, continuing to run his hand through her hair. He continued doing so until she calmed down and fell asleep, her emotions must have exhausted her. He didn’t move her from his lap for fear of waking her up, however, he picked up his phone from the nightstand and send Itachi a message telling him that he will not be going to work, he proceeded to text Kurenai as well informing her of Hinata’s absence at work too.
He spent the following few hours reading about similar situations, which mostly led to the same piece of advice, that a specialist was needed. So, he went on to search for therapists in Konoha, texting them all, asking whether any of them were free that day, two of them didn’t reply, another one was full for the week and could only see them next Wednesday, thankfully the last one agreed to meet with them after closing hours at 8:30.
Having all of that plan, all he needed to do was find a way to approach the topic when talking to Hinata, she had to agree that paying a visit to therapy would do them both good. Hinata had been asleep for about two hours now, so Sasuke took the liberty to move her onto her side of the bed and go to the kitchen to make some food for when she’d get up.
He managed to make scrambled eggs and toast and was about to go and wake her up when a cry of distress came from their room. He hurried to her side, Hinata was holding onto his pillow on the verge of tears.
“You weren’t here when I woke up” Her voice was meek and trembling. “I could hear movement in the kitchen, I knew you were there. So why, why does your absence hurt this much, despite me knowing you are here?”
He wished he had the answer, but he didn’t. He moved closer and sat on the edge of the bed, cupping her face with one hand, slowly brushing the skin under her eye with his thumb. Sasuke leaned in slowly to hiss her nose, cheek, forehead and finally the corner of her mouth. “I think to find out why, we might need some help from the outside” he closed his eyes and sighed, his breath fanning over her lips. “I talked to a man named Iruka, he’s a therapist and agreed to meet with us later today, would you be open to this idea?”
-------------
Hinata looked at him, searching his eyes and expression for any malice or negative feelings, but there was none, his openness and desire to help led her to agree to his plan, maybe they did need help.
“From what you’ve told me, this is a severe case of separation anxiety,” Iruka said, he looked kind and bore no ill feelings, Hinata had been afraid of the judgmental look he’d give her after hearing about her actions, but his eyes remained warm and understanding. “This usually manifests itself in small children, they are afraid to part from their caregivers even for a moment. In certain cases, it is believed it could appear in pregnant women as well, and usually the caregiver is their partner. Is there any possibility of this being true?”
Both Sasuke and Hinata’s eyes opened wider at the word pregnant, there was most certainly a possibility of that. They were always careful while having sex, however, Hinata was not on birth control, for they affected her badly whenever she took them as a teen so their method of contraception were condoms alone. There’s always the possibility of one breaking, a faulty one, or just them being part of the 0.01% of the population for which condoms did not work perfectly.
-------------
“I suggest you take a pregnancy test as well. As I mentioned, this is known to happen now and again so do not worry too much; however, this anxiety can affect you negatively” Iruka continued while looking at Hinata “the best way to deal with this is steady growth. In the early stages constant contact is preferred. Think of this as building up trust once again. Constant reassurance is important, always keeping promises, separation needs to happen slowly over time; from constant touch to simply being in the same room but at a safe distance, then being in separate rooms, then Hinata being alone but in a familiar and comfortable space for short periods of time. Of course, this process takes months. For some women the anxiety dies down with the birth, for others in continues after but through steady built of trust it can disappear”
They followed Iruka’s advice and went to Hinata’s gyno the next day and Iruka’s assumption proved to be true, Hinata was indeed pregnant in week 7. They were currently in the first stage of their trust-building, being in the same room, always touching. Hinata sat in his lap while they watched a movie, they held hands whenever they were outside, they’d keep bumping feet under the table as they ate. Sasuke had basically moved into her apartment, neither of them went to work. Sasuke was able to do most of his job remotely, however, Hinata applied for medical time off. Everything was going great, Hinata no longer experienced that painful longing, however, her pregnancy turned out to be a quite difficult one, as soon as they found out she was indeed pregnant, her morning sickness started, she had constant back pain and her appetite was very volatile. They’d often wake up in the middle of the night and drive around the city to find one of her cravings. During a particularly bad night 2 months after, her craving for watermelon in the winter proved difficult, to add to the issue her back pain was excruciating so she could not stay in the car for however long it would take them to find watermelon.
“Do you think…you would be all right if you stayed here and I went to find it for you…?” they had barely moved on from the ‘always touching’ stage, the process was slow but it was there.
“I…don’t know…”
“What do you want me to do Hina? You can’t even sit up properly, being in the car for maybe an hour would we awful, but being here alone would too…but it’s unwise to not follow your cravings either” He was spiralling, the situation was stressful and all he wanted was to be able to help her, he wanted to take her pain away, he wanted to give her everything she’d ever want and more.
“I think, I will be fine” Hinata finally said after thinking for a bit longer. Almost in slow motion, he nodded, ‘ok, ok, ok’ he murmured to himself as he put his winter coat over his pyjamas and stood on the bed to put his boots on. “I’ll go find you watermelon, ok? I will be back as soon as I can. I love you” he kissed her cheek and then the top of her head. She smiled and waved, but the moment his back turned to her, her smile wavered. Would she really be ok…?
Sasuke ran down the stairs to the car, he wanted to be away for as little as possible. He pulled out of the driveway and sped up as much as possible. Firstly, he’d look at the local non-stop supermarket, at the ‘exotic’ or ‘out of season’ shelf, if it wasn’t there he’d go to the local Korean market and buy some watermelon flavoured things, just in case there was nothing else anywhere; before he could think of where he’d go next his phone rang. Seeing Hinata’s name he answered immediately.
“come back…please” she was trying not to cry, he could hear it. He did an illegal U-turn and sped even more towards their apartment “I’m coming, I’ll be there in 5 minutes” Hinata replied with an ‘ok’ however she didn’t hang up, she needed to at least be on the line with him. Sasuke didn’t hang up either, not when we pulled into the driveway, not when he stopped the car, nor when he ran up the stairs. He only hung up when Hinata was in his arms.
“I’m so sorry, I thought I could, but you left and I…” she was sobbing so hard it was even difficult to understand her. “It’s ok, it’s not your fault, we moved too fast. Iruka said it’s slow. It’s no problem Hina, we can just start over” If her constantly touching him was what made her feel safe, he’d hold her close until she was ready. No more rushing of things. Once Hinata calmed down, Sasuke called Itachi.
“I’m sorry to wake you up but I need some help…could you look for some watermelon?”

can u show what happens after the snipts and i'm curious about the tae x reader, pretty please my heart is broken from that angst but the way you wrote is beautiful
here is the next part!
SANDCASTLES: SNIPPETS IN SEQUENCE (3) (YOONMINJOONSEOK X READER) (TAEHYUNG X READER) (OMEGAVERSE AU)
TAGS: angst, unplanned pregnancy, depression, loneliness, BETA! taehyung x reader
W/c: 3.5k
A/n: here you go! here are the beta Taehyung parts, as well as what happens immediately after she leaves the alphas and Jimin. The next part will be about what happens to them in the wake of her leaving, and I will say this; the next part has some heavy tags so be sure to watch out for those. ALSO- TAE IS THE VILLAN OF THIS STORY, but the beginning with him isn’t bad. he will eventually betray the reader so be prepared!
- You cry yourself to sleep every night the first week in your new apartment.
- It’s a nice place really, too nice- but your company had told you it was more than within your means when they booked it for you. and you can barely believe the first paycheck you get. it has an extra bedroom and a kitchen with a retro-style but new appliances and molding on the ceiling in the old district, full of restaurants and coffee shops that you live off for the first few weeks.
- You don’t have a bed frame yet, so your bed just sits on the carpeted floor. Your boxes scattered around you, the one that holds some of your books acts as a nightstand. Your new job isn’t that terrible- in fact they make every point to tell you how good it is to have someone capable fill the position, and how good you are at your job.
- After so long it’s nice to feel appreciated.
- You even make friends with two of the other women that work there, an omega female named Yeri, and an alpha female named Irene, who would have made you nervous if not for the mating mark clearly evident on her collar bone.
- Despite the fact that they were slightly under you in the company, they both treated you, the new girl, with kindness. They even invited you to have lunch with them and get to know them on your second day and showed you around the company.
- It wasn’t safe for an unmated omega in a new city they said, you ended up crying in the bathroom for a few hours after that- it used to be your dream to be marked by Namjoon, Yoongi, and Hoseok, and for them to bear your and Jimin's mark. But now that dream could never come to fruition.
- But they are kind- so kind. They don’t ask you where you came from or even if you have any family- keeping your conversations mostly on company gossip and pop culture. You end up going to see a movie with them in the second week. And by the end of the third, the three of you are the best of friends.
- You’d never really had any friends that where girls- after all you’d always had Jimin, you’d never needed anyone else other than him until now.
- You get a dresser and put your old phone (still turned off) in the top drawer once you get a company cellphone. You adjust well, your apartment overlooks a park and a small pond in the very middle of the bustling city. Your place of work is only 5 blocks away, and you find yourself enjoying your walk to work every morning.
- But you’re miserable, you can't breathe in the smell of coffee without thinking of Yoongi and feeling sick to your stomach, every time you hear music you think of all the times both Jimin and Hoseok used to drag you to your feet to dance.
- You cant even watch TV without your and Namjoon’s favorite documentary show coming on- or that drama you and Hoseok used to curl up and watch. - What’s more, is that it seems like you’re actually getting sick, your fever is raised and every time you go for lunch you end up vomiting it all back up a few minutes later. Even your favorite foods don’t stay down. you try to chalk it up to the stress of moving and being separated from your alphas (which has been known to happen in some omegas after they part with a pack, their instincts regecting their minds desire to stay away), but it seems like that's less the case the more time goes on.
- It happens one day at work while you sit and eat your lunch with Yeri (Irene had a meeting during your usual lunch hour- but she told you not to wait for her). and you narrowly avoid vomiting on your new white blouse before you lean over and throw up your sandwich in the waste paper basket, a sudden wave of vomiting hits you so harshly that Yeri looks more than a little concerned.
- After you assure her that yes- you’re going to the doctor soon about it, and yes you’ve been able to keep water down she gives you a final withering look before she offhandedly says, “fine just don’t go getting pregnant on me like Irene’s wife did- I swear now all the two of them ever want to do is watch baby TV and talk about their child’s poops.”
- Throughout the rest of the day her words stick with you, and you end up going home at the end of the day only to pacing your apartment for a few hours, before you head back out to the store to pick up a pregnancy test and some ice cream (because why not).
- You pace around your small unfurnished living room as you wait for the stick to give you your results. You never expected to do this alone- in your mind someone was always here with you, you even expected to have all of them there. You wanted Jimin's hand on yours more than anything, you wanted to grow massive with him, and maybe raise your children together if you could.
- You openly sob the stick comes back as positive, you pace around your apartment crying and thinking on your situation for the entirety of the night before you realize that you being pregnant does nothing to change your situation. this is the only time you strongly consider turning on your old phone. you didn’t know if there would even be messages waiting from you- probably from Jimin, but not from any of the others you’re sure.
- Out of all of them- it has to be namjoon’s, you think back to the time in the kitchen, how your front was pressed to the granite, how it felt impersonal, how you’d sent the email for your job immediately after. that was probably the day you got pregnant.
- the more you think about it, the more you're sure. you put your phone away and don’t turn it on. Why would they want you now? if anything this would only make them hate you more. they where good people, and they wouldn’t have let you do this alone, especially Jimin. but They would resent being tied to a pregnant omega that they weren’t mated too or even in love with- that you were sure of.
- you imagine it briefly, sure- you’d have them in your life, but only so far as your child would have a parent in Namjoon, and uncles in the rest. you imagine the awkward doctors visits, the offers to pay, needing to share your child between here and Seoul. whatever children they’d have one day with Jimin, would be cousins to yours, and whatever children he’d have with Namjoon. well- they’d have the love of all the alphas, not just Namjoon. and you don’t want your child to feel any less loved because of your mistakes.
- So You’d have to raise your child alone, in a city that you barely knew. Without any support system. Sure your new friend were great but they were so new. So to distract yourself from your situation, the fact that you’re going to do all of this alone, and the fact that you left your baby’s father- You drown yourself in work, staying later than anyone else consistently, falling into your bed exhausted.
- You go to your prenatal appointments alone, and when you start getting cravings, there’s no one to lean over to in the middle of the night and ask for chocolate sauce and watermelon, or barbecue mayonnaise and mac and cheese fries, you get up and do it yourself.
- By week 5 of your pregnancy, your hormones have started to change enough that one day you walk into work and Yeri almost screams in happiness, congratulating you and jumping in your arms when she notices how your scent has changed. It’s only when she pulls back and sees your withdrawn sad expression that she says, “oh honey…” and Irene slaps her on the arm lightly as she tries to broach the topic of the father. They both know you live alone by now.
- you notify your boss, and you almost pass out when they offer you nearly 4 months of maternity leave. they seem determined to treat you well. it helps that your ceo is also an omega.
- By about 12 weeks- you’re starting to show significantly enough that people on the train start to give you the priority seat when you were tight clothes. You show Enough that you begin to fiddle with your old phone again. You get close several times to turning it on-But in the end you never do. Preferring to leave it in the drawer of the nightstand next to your bed right next to the picture of them.
- “You can do this, there are plenty of single omega parents, it’s not like it used to be” the doctor and the clinic that you go too for your prenatal appointments assures you when the other omega finally asks if they’ res a father or another mother in the picture.
- And you’re not over what happened by any means but things slowly start to get better.
- You don’t cry randomly as much, you start coming home earlier and going on walks- the doctor said it was good for the baby. On the weekends you go to this fresh fruit market, sometimes with Irene and her wife and child, making a day out of it.
- And you enjoy the little child as he reaches up for your stomach, patting on it gently and slurring the words “baby out now!” that causes all of you to giggle and Irene’s wife apologizes- saying that their little Eun just loves babies more than anything.
- Your life is nice, calm. There is a tense atmosphere in your apartment, though you do buy a few plants, and a few poster pictures to put on the white walls. slowly the space starts to feel like yours. You paint the spare room the lightest shade of robins egg blue and add puffy white clouds to the walls with Yeri, giggling and laughing harder than you have in months as she accidentally splashes paint onto her face.
- Your relationship with a kind and soft beta named Taehyung starts simply and in the most cliché way possible.
- You accidentally ran into him while coming home from the grocery store, your belly barely showing through a baggy sweatshirt. Two paper bags in either arm. One of the bags rips when he bumps into you. his other coming up to stop you from falling backward, his arm like iron, his hands digging into you to steady you. all of a sudden your whole body flush with warmth.
- Tae is an absolute gentleman, picking up your weird assortment of food in his hands and walking the few blocks to your tiny apartment. you feel surprisingly safe with the stranger, your instincts have been in overdrive since your body started to adjust to your pregnancy, and they’re something about Tae’s scent that immediately settles your stomach.
It goes surprisingly well, there is something so gentlemanly about his deep voice and his quiet smile that makes you feel so relaxed. His beta scent- the smell of clean laundry (beta’s always smelled clean) definitely has something to do with it. not his pretty jaw or his delicate style.
- You invite him in for some iced tea and you spend a few minutes chatting, now that the bags not in front of your stomach, Tae can see why you seemed so unsteady on your feet. You expect it to scare him away- but he doesn’t mention you're obvious condition until he’s about to leave. Handing you a small slip of paper with his number on it.
- He touches your shoulder softly. “I live in the area so If you ever need any help- please don’t hesitate to call me.” by now he has scented the room, know by the lack of a competing scent as well as the lack of a bite on your shoulder that you’re alone. that you don't have anyone.
- You pin the number to the old fashion fridge and try to forget about it. After all, tae was more than a little flirty and you’re in no position to even want to date anyone right now. But when you finally call it’s more about needing help than wanting to see him. Though seeing him was an added bonus.
- He helps you move your refrigerator after an important document falls behind it, the literal social security card that you can't reach or get at. And he’s sweaty sipping more of your ice tea when he says, “I hoped that when you finally called me it would be for a date and not to rescue your medical stuff behind your dusty fridge.”
- “You don’t want to date me tae,” you say, your hand hovering over your stomach. He looks at your tummy too, sicking in his lower lip.
- “No I’m sure that I do” he says, taking your hand in his before he says softly, his warm brown eyes piercing into you as he looks through his black bangs “I don’t know what you’re dealing with, I don’t know who or what you’re running from, but trust me when I saw that I really, really want to take you out on a date- at least once.”
- You relent and agree to go visit a night market with him- one of the hallmarks of this city that you hadn’t yet indulged in.He buys you ice cream and fried mac and cheese and doesn’t criticize you when you dunk your French fries in your chocolate Sunday. In fact, he joins in- letting you dunk one in his Oreo mango ice cream.
- You listen to Tae talk about his job; you find out that he owns a pair of café’s the first one that he inherited from his grandmother, the second one that he opened last year after the first one did so well. Business is booming so much that he’s contemplating opening a third. the cafe is just between your apartment and your job, it’s no wonder that you never ran into him sooner.
- You promise to come to try his berry macaroons that are apparently the best in town. He starts to talk about coffee but then a glance down to your stomach reminds him that you can’t have that- and he switches to boba tea
- You sit in the warm summer air listening to a live band before you go to walk along the river, the lights reflecting off the water like one of van Goh's paintings. You’re laughing at some joke Tae tells you when he leans over surprisingly and kisses you, you recoiled a little, more surprised than displeased.
- “I’m sorry- you just looked so…. i’m sorry- I rushed you didn’t I, shit- y/n I’m so-”
- “I don’t know what you want from me Tae,” you say gesturing to your stomach, he starts to look abashed and ashamed, but then relents at your soft expression “but if we’re going to see each other like that, then you have to know that I miss them.” You say softly while looking out at the water, your hand hovering over your swollen stomach.
- “them?” he asks, looking surprised, you nod, them.”
- “And I’m not going to stop missing them, probably for a long while. I think I always will. And if you’re ok with that- if you don’t mind-” Tae reaches up, running a hand across your face and you find yourself leaning into his touch, its been so long since anyone’s touched you with any affection. Your body is so hungry, so needy for it.
- “I don’t care who else is in your heart, I only want a place in It.” Tae says after a moment. Leaning his forehead against yours.
- You and tae start casually seeing each other, you stop by his coffee shop most days before work, it’s a street off from your company’s main building, and Tae always has a bag of coffee cake or a plate full of raspberry tarts for you, he pushes away your money with a lopsided grin the makes your heart beat rapidly. He even steps away during the busiest times to sit with you and just talk.
- Sometimes he plops your feet up on his lap and massages your swollen ankles, his smiles sweeter than the pastries, not taking no for an answer until you’ve tried every kind the café offers at least twice because he wants to know which are your favorite.
- One-night Taehyung finds your photo of all of them and your old cellphone in your dresser. And you're just trying to crack an egg into a pan when he comes out holding it. you almost drop the carton when he asks you who they are.
- He sits you down and you start breathing heavily and tells you that you don’t need to tell him- he sends a concerned look at your stomach, and that it doesn't matter if it's going to make you upset. you don't mean to have a panic attack but really, turning around and seeing your...your boyfriend holding the picture of your baby daddy just suprised you.
- tae looks like he honestly wants to know, So you launch into the story of your best friend who you’ve loved and will love until the day you die. Cradle to grave and all that.
- Fuck you miss jimin so much. You miss them all, Hoseok, yoongi and Namjoon. He laughs like Namjoon did when you tell him childhood stories of you and jimin and listens eagerly as you tell him about your college experience and trying to stay away.
- He’s a little quieter when he learns about the alpha’s that you love while you point at their faces in the picture and smile. He smiles a little though when you start listing off the things about them that you love. And he gets a little sadder when he realizes it will always be love- And not loved.
- your love for them hasn’t faded. not in all these months apart.
- He wishes you would move on from them. Wishes he was the only one who had ever made a home out of your heart. But he understands why you can’t- you’re carrying his child after all. The one with the gray hair in the photo, you tell him as much.
- he touches the photograph softly, “I understand why you miss them so much- it must have been so nice having so many people to love you and to love them back.”
- “it really was.”
- “I wish I was worth that” Taehyung says softly, his face downturned. You kiss away his worries, “you are tae- never think you’re not worth it- because you are.” he pulls you to him and kisses your forehead as his mind turns your words over in his head.
- maybe your words have a double meaning, maybe maybe, runs through his head. And he shakes off thoughts of other omega’s and directs his attention to you.
- “so are we going to eat dinner together or what? Should I call for takeout”
- But no matter where you go home too at night, no matter how good things are with Tae, you can’t help but think about Namjoon’s arms encircling your waist, about Yoongi’s quiet roll of his knuckles against your side in a silent hello.
- About Hoseok’s sweet kisses and how he would take your hand in his and drag you up from wherever you were sitting to slow dance with you around your kitchen when you were sad, and how it would eventually devolve into giggles and awkward butt wiggles.
- Nothing like how it was when you left when Hoseok would barely look at you- and if he did even look at you, it would only be with disdain and anger so severe that it would make you shake.
- But most of all you miss Jimin, the way he would hang on Namjoon’s thighs while gripping yours, how when he would laugh he would throw himself onto your shoulder to hide his closed-eyed smile in your skin. the way you’d smell so much like each other you could hardly distinguish your scents anymore.
- The first night you sleepover at Taehyung’s house you end up waking up in the middle of the night and reaching out for another set of arms.
- Taehyung wakes up too you wearing his silk robe and crying on his balcony, where you went to hide your sobs, he runs his hands up and down your arms while talking to you quietly, saying that you should come inside.
- That the cold is bad for the baby, and he’s right, you’re shaking like a leaf and your belly has grown so much in the past month. You’re nearly 5 months along- you’ve only known tae for a few months, but he already wants to tell you he loves you. He already loves you and the baby- it doesn’t matter that he’s not the father.
- But what you don’t know is that at that moment, Jimin is doing the same thing, crying on a balcony, feeling unable to go back inside as he looks out over the view that the two of you used to love. He remembers how you would drag the alphas out onto the balcony to eat dinner or play a game or just sitting, talking as you looked at the city.
- Because the apartment inside doesn’t feel like it used to- try as he might it doesn’t feel like home anymore, because you’re not there and everything is slowly falling apart- has been for months, and by now Jimin feels like he’s falling apart too.
- It feels like he’s been watching a train wreck in slow motion since you left.

I know many potheads, and one I'm pretty close with. Have you ever owned a golf cart before and, if so, what color was it? No. Do you have a sibling who’s a complete deadbeat and, if so, which sibling is it? Definitely not. All my siblings are hard workers that have dreams and aspirations they're either working towards or have achieved. Do you own the new Guitar Hero and, if so, what’s your favorite song on it? I have no clue what the newest one is. My favorite song to play in any of the games though is The Eagles' "Hotel California." It just feels good to play, and the ending solo fuckin' slams. Have you ever done anything dangerous enough to have risked your life? An overdose on cold medicine. What was the most length you’ve ever cut off your hair and why did you cut it? 8+ inches because I no longer wanted long hair. Have you ever overcome a disease that was life-threatening and, if so, which one? No.

Water: How much should I drink every day?
Water is essential to good health, yet needs vary by individual. These guidelines can help ensure you drink enough fluids. How much water should you drink each day? It's a simple question with no easy answers. Studies have produced varying recommendations over the years, but in truth, your water needs depend on many factors, including your health, how active you are and where you live. Although no single formula fits everyone, knowing more about your body's need for fluids will help you estimate how much water to drink each day.
Health benefits of water:
Water is your body's principal chemical component and makes up about 60 percent of your body weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells, and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues. Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. Even mild dehydration can drain your energy and make you tired.
How much water do you need?:
Every day you lose water through your breath, perspiration, urine and bowel movements. For your body to function properly, you must replenish its water supply by consuming beverages and foods that contain water. So how much fluid does the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate need? The Institute of Medicine determined that an adequate intake (AI) for men is roughly about 13 cups (3 liters) of total beverages a day. The AI for women is about 9 cups (2.2 liters) of total beverages a day.
What about the advice to drink 8 glasses a day?:
Everyone has heard the advice, "Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day." That's about 1.9 liters, which isn't that different from the Institute of Medicine recommendations. Although the "8 by 8" rule isn't supported by hard evidence, it remains popular because it's easy to remember. Just keep in mind that the rule should be reframed as: "Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day," because all fluids count toward the daily total.
Factors that influence water needs:
You may need to modify your total fluid intake depending on how active you are, the climate you live in, your health status, and if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
1: Exercise.
If you exercise or engage in any activity that makes you sweat, you need to drink extra water to compensate for the fluid loss. An extra 1.5 to 2.5 cups (400 to 600 milliliters) of water should suffice for short bouts of exercise, but intense exercise lasting more than an hour (for example, running a marathon) requires more fluid intake. How much additional fluid you need depends on how much you sweat during exercise and the duration and type of exercise.
2: Intense exercise.
During long bouts of intense exercise, it's best to use a sports drink that contains sodium, as this will help replace sodium lost in sweat and reduce the chances of developing hyponatremia, which can be life-threatening. Also, continue to replace fluids after you're finished exercising.
3: Environment.
Hot or humid weather can make you sweat and requires additional intake of fluid. Heated indoor air also can cause your skin to lose moisture during wintertime. Further, altitudes greater than 8,200 feet (2,500 meters) may trigger increased urination and more rapid breathing, which use up more of your fluid reserves.
4: Illnesses or health conditions.
When you have fever, vomiting or diarrhea, your body loses additional fluids. In these cases, you should drink more water. In some cases, your doctor may recommend oral rehydration solutions, such as Gatorade, Powerade or CeraLyte. You may also need increased fluid intake if you develop certain conditions, including bladder infections or urinary tract stones. On the other hand, some conditions, such as heart failure and some types of kidney, liver and adrenal diseases, may impair excretion of water and even require that you limit your fluid intake.
5: Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding need additional fluids to stay hydrated. Large amounts of fluid are used especially when nursing. The Institute of Medicine recommends that pregnant women drink about 10 cups (2.3 liters) of fluids daily and women who breast-feed consume about 13 cups (3.1 liters ) of fluids a day.
Beyond the tap: Other sources of water:
You don't need to rely only on what you drink to meet your fluid needs. What you eat also provides a significant portion of your fluid needs. On average, food provides about 20 percent of total water intake. For example, many fruits and vegetables, such as watermelon and spinach, are 90 percent or more water by weight. In addition, beverages such as milk and juice are composed mostly of water. Even beer, wine and caffeinated beverages — such as coffee, tea or soda — can contribute, but these should not be a major portion of your daily total fluid intake. Water is still your best bet because it's calorie-free, inexpensive and readily available.
Staying safely hydrated:
Generally, if you drink enough fluid so that you rarely feel thirsty and your urine is colorless or light yellow — and measures about 6.3 cups (1.5 liters) or more a day if you were to keep track — your fluid intake is probably adequate. If you're concerned about your fluid intake or have health issues, check with your doctor or a registered dietitian. He or she can help you determine the amount of water that's right for you. To ward off dehydration and make sure your body has the fluids it needs, makes water your beverage of choice. It's also a good idea to:
1: Drink a glass of water or other calorie-free or low-calorie beverage with each meal and between each meal 2: Drink water before, during and after exercise Although uncommon, it is possible to drink too much water. When your kidneys are unable to excrete the excess water, the electrolyte (mineral) content of the blood is diluted, resulting in low sodium levels in the blood, a condition called hyponatremia. Endurance athletes, such as marathon runners who drink large amounts of water, are at higher risk of hyponatremia. In general, though, drinking too much water is rare in healthy adults who eat an average American diet.

Healthy Habits That Every Pregnant Woman Should Follow
Pregnancy is the initiation of a beautiful journey ahead. It is crucial to keep your health on track for the safety of both you and your baby. Timely consultation with an expert obstetrician is quite important and so is having access to nearest maternity hospital offering decent health care facility. They will guide you to have a healthy pregnancy ahead. Here are some useful tips to ensure a safe pregnancy ahead.
1. Eat Healthy Food
Food is of prime importance during any pregnancy. It is crucial to eat the right food at the right time in the right amount. Many pregnant women start eating for two, but actually, the amount of food does not require to be doubled in amount. Rather it needs to be rich in nutrients. An expert obstetrician will help you plan a complete diet chart for you.
2. Stay Hydrated
Staying hydrated is crucial for any individual but it is critical for pregnant women. Try to have an adequate amount of water throughout the day. You can also include a secondary source of water such as coconut water, soups, watermelon etc. However, try to avoid caffeine-loaded beverages.
3. Get Plenty Of Sleep
Getting adequate sleep during pregnancy is important. This is often both easy and comfortable during the first trimester, but as you will start to move towards later stages of pregnancy, you will lose your dear sleep significantly. This happens due to frequent visits to the bathroom and other pregnancy-related uneasiness.
4. Get Rid Of Bad Habits
Pregnancy is a good motivation for you to quit your bad habits like consuming alcohol and smoking. Remember it is very important for you to quit these habits for good as not doing so, can have catastrophic results, particularly for your baby. Several studies show that following this kind of lifestyle can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth, pre-term birth, and other unpleasant complications.
5. Manage Stress Effectively
Dealing with stress is kind of part and parcel for everyone out there. However, it is important to be able to deal with it effectively, especially for a pregnant woman. Try to avoid any over-the-counter drugs instead try out yoga and meditation. It will also help to strengthen your pelvic muscle and help you have an easier childbirth.
Adapt these habits to have a healthy pregnancy and baby.

5 Treats Llamas Love to Eat
New Post has been published on https://www.petculiars.com/5-treats-llamas-love-to-eat/
5 Treats Llamas Love to Eat
A llama is a very nice animal with soft hair and large eyes. Compared to a horse, a llama eats eight times less.
Llamas are herbivores grazing a wide variety of plants. Usually, they eat corn, lucerne, and grass. Although the llamas regurgitate and chew again the food, like sheep and cows, their stomach has three compartments, and are not ruminants. The llama has a very long thick intestine, which allows it to digest cellulose-rich plants and also to survive with far less water than most mammals.
Ideal llama treats include carrots, white cabbage leaves, broccoli, sweet potatoes, celery, oranges, mangoes, bananas, watermelons, and apples. It is important for the food to be juicy and fresh. This will allow their body to be saturated with minerals and trace elements necessary for normal body functioning.
You should be aware that the diet is largely dependent on the gender and age of the llama. In addition, during pregnancy and while nursing the babies, the female may change its taste preferences.
Llamas live in a dry climate and therefore receive most of the hydration from food. They need two to three liters of water a day. Hay and grass consumption represents 1,8% of the body weight. Domestic lamas are adapted to the food fed to sheep and goats.
Is it good for llamas to eat fruits?
Yes, you can occasionally treat your llama with vegetables or fruits, but you should know that they get most of the nutrients they need from the grass they eat.
You might also like my articles about whether goats can eat bamboo, kale, or mango.
Fruits contain high amounts of sugar which may cause different problems from bloating to digestive issues, so they should not be present in the everyday diet of a llama.
Llamas have only bottom teeth and they can’t chew quite well hole fruits or vegetables. Before you give your llama their loved treats make sure they are properly sliced or cut into small pieces so they won’t choke.
As you may wonder there are fruits you should never offer and there are some really beneficial and loved by llamas.
What fruits can llamas eat?
Apples
Apples are a great immunity booster because, as you might know, they are a good source of fiber, vitamins, and different antioxidants. They are an excellent supplement in their diet, so you shouldn’t hesitate in giving them such a common fruit.
If you are concerned about the fruits from the list, the apple is the safest and most used choice offered as a treat.
Bananas
As I mention above, llamas lack their upper teeth, so this is a perfect treat for them to eat easier. Besides being easy to chew they are also beneficial to their digestive system.
Bananas are rich in nutrients like potassium, vitamins, and fibers, so they are a safe treat for llamas. Just remember that these are offered as treats and not as a main meal, if not they may cause colic issues.
Pineapples
After apples, this delicious treat is the most frequently offered to llamas.
Pineapples are great, but like any other fruit or vegetable, they shouldn’t be offered daily.
Pears
Pears are also a great treat for your llama.
If you are worried that pears might cause some side effects on your llamas’ health, try giving them some small chunks for some days and watch if they have any different reactions to them.
If they didn’t have any allergic reactions or problems, you can safely treat your llama with some pear slices.
Strawberries
Strawberries are also a safe and super tasty treat to include in the diet of your llama.
Offer them small amounts of strawberries and a lot of water, in case they might choke with them. Having enough water while eating also helps them with digestion.
Here are some other treats for llamas
Blackberries
Peaches
Watermelon
Mango
Grapes
Carrots
Broccoli
Pumpkin
Celery
Parsnips
Tomatoes
Sweet potatoes
Now you know there is a wide variety of treats you can offer your llama, but for their health, their main diet must consist of grass and hay. As in any other organism, too much sugar leads to health problems, so moderation is the key.
You can offer it some slices of fruits or vegetables from time to time without worrying about the risks.
Llamas will surely eat all of the offered fruits or vegetables as treats, mainly because they are not such picky eaters.

Headcanons for when Clarke is pregnant with their first child, that nobody asked me for:
when Abby confirms what Clarke has suspected for weeks, Bellamy almost goes out his mind with worry; they are both happy, extremely happy because they’ve been waiting for this to happen for half a year now, but he goes to an extreme in his desperate attempts to keep her and their unborn child safe;
first he gets his hand dirty and puts all his remaining strength into finishing up their cabin, even though Clarke is trying to convince him that they will be alright staying in her small room in the ark; he argues though “I don’t want my child to live behind these metal walls. I want a different life for them.”
so when he’s not hovering around her asking her if she needs anything or if she’s too cold or if he can give her a hand with something, he’s building their home; every evening he comes to her wrecked and completely exhausted, his hands swollen and with cuts all over, his back hurts and he is walking a little slumped because every muscle of his body hurts; he doesn’t complain, not at all, especially considering how tired she is, but she often pulls him to the table and takes his hands in hers, cleaning them up and wrapping the deeper cuts; she wants to tell him to stop, but she knows better how stubborn Bellamy can be;
she insists on working until she no longer can and even though they fight on it, he backs down one night when his worrying and hovering gets to be too much for her; she’s not made of glass and just because she’s pregnant doesn’t mean he has to threat her as if she’s dying;
he apologizes right away and explains that this all may have to do with the fact that he remembers how much his mom had to work during her pregnancy with Octavia, how little food they had and how weak she was, and he was just worried of seeing Clarke like that; she immediately regrets losing her temper and they end up curled together on her bed, his hand on her small bump;
at first what’s really killing her is the headaches, not even the morning sickness, but the headaches that steal away any chance for her to get decent sleep; at night she tosses and turns and in the morning she’s dead tired; Bellamy can’t keep watching her like that and any of the pills Abby has, can’t be used on her since she’s pregnant, so one day he packs up his bags and heads to Nyko’s village; it takes him another day to find the plants he needs, but they help and he couldn’t have been happier;
when they finally move in their cabin, they have a small housewarming party with Monty, Miller, Raven, Jasper, her mom and Marcus; Miller and Monty give them two big really warm blankets “One for you and one for the kiddo” Monty explains, Raven’s present is a really comfortable swinging chair that Clarke can use when she brestfeeds and her mom had somehow found a pacifier, a brand new unopened one and months later, it turns out to be the most useful thing they’ve ever gotten;
Bellamy is sad for not having his sister here, even though they’ve send word to the village she was currently residing in; things between them were a little bit better even if still quite strenuous but Clarke thought that for this she would show up; when she doesn’t, he’s quite sad and broody for days until one night, for the first time, she feels the baby kick; she wakes him up and places his hand over her stomach; the baby doesn’t kick right away again, it’s another twenty minutes of impatient waiting but when it does, the smile on his face is the brightest she’s ever seen;
once it starts kicking, the baby seems to not be able to stop though and that makes her irritated because she’s wasting a lot of sleep; when it gets to be too much for her, she passes out in medbay one day and her mom puts her on bedrest while Bellamy hovers and promises he won’t let her out of his sight;
staying at home drives her insane and if it wasn’t for Raven who spends a lot of time with her and even asked her to help out on some stuff she was working on, Clarke might’ve strangled someone; she’s getting bigger with every passing day, her legs hurt and her ankles are so swollen that it’s painful to walk, her back is on fire and she’s sweating all the time since summer has come earlier than expected;
she’s also eating a lot which Bellamy welcomes because he’s always fought with her on her eating habits; sometimes it gets to an extreme though, but he doesn’t mind; she would wake him up in the middle of the night sometimes “Bellamy, I want apples.”/ “Okay, princess, I’ll get you some tomorrow” he promises as he kisses her cheek in his half-asleep state “No, I want apples now!”, so he would get dressed and walk seven miles to the closest apple tree he knows of and come back at dawn, but the smile on her face is worth every goddamn step he took; the problem is when she craves things that aren’t easy to get; he has to go to Polis to bring her a watermelon that one time and he chases a fucking turkey for two days and comes home to collapse in bed after leaving it to Jasper to cook it for her;
he doesn’t care though, he would do anything for her; what he hates is when she can’t sleep or is in too much pain or when she’s just sad or worried she won’t be a good mother; on such a particularly emotional night when she’s tossing in bed and then crying in his chest, he takes her hand, leads her outside and dances with her in the dark, with their feet bare on the grass and the stars shining down on them; she cools down and feels better; he carries her back inside and she smiles in her sleep when he kisses her forehead;
they don’t talk about names until she’s a month away from giving birth because they are afraid not to jinx something, afraid to let themselves be happy; they decide they won’t name the baby after any of their dead parents, it was a lot to bear and they wouldn’t want to put that on their kid’s shoulders; Bellamy gets the habit of leaving her small notes every morning before he leaves for work with name suggestions at the end “Left you some apple pie on the table. Have a great day. I love you! P.S What about Merope if its a girl?” ; Clarke refuses to have a greek goddess name for their child but at the same time she’s not coming up with better suggestions so by the time her contractions start, she’s sure they’ll just call their child “baby” or “kiddo” until they are twenty;
she remembers holding Bellamy’s hand so hard, she left him bruises in the end as she screamed and cursed him for doing this to her while she was giving birth, but once her mother places her son in her hands and she sees the distinguishable black curls and the freckly face she looks up at him and smiles “I think after all Augustus suits him, what do you say?” his eyes go wide and he leans down to kiss her and then their son;
“It’s perfect” he adds as he tries to hold back his tears;

Hello hello!!! 😊😊😊 I love you and your writing so much! So how about a bit of angst~so Aizawa who already have a s/o who has been pregnant for like 4-5 months that sees him fighting a villain on Tv and was so worried about him she ended up having a miscarriage, you're free to tear ip my heart
Awww thank you (≧∇≦)/ Alsoafter a little research it turned out that miscarriage can happen without thewoman noticing for a while so this may not be exactly realistic but I hope it’s enough to tear your heart :D
She was humming as she finished preparing the dinner. Since Aizawa had workto do, it will be just her eating in front of the TV. Actually she wasn’t alone.
“Mommy will feed you with something yummy.” She told to her stomach whileplacing the plate on the table in front of the TV and turning it on. She alwaysate dinner with Aizawa while watching the news and now that it became a habitof hers she couldn’t pass it even without him around. There weren’t manyinteresting things today. A few petty thefts, a boy caught drug dealing andsome stupid news about the biggest watermelon recorded in the book of guinness. She was losing interest and was about to turn off the TV but then she sawAizawa’s hero name written at the bottom of the screen she increased the volumeand listened carefully.
“We’re back with exclusive news about the pro heroes holding up against thevillains that attacked the newly opened factory. Our reporter at the scene willtake it from here.”
“As you can see the video quality isn’t very good because we can’t get closeenough. The reinforcements are running late and the heroes are in poorcondition but they continue fighting. Here is a footage we are filming rightnow.” She distinguished Aizawa among the heroes and traced his movements witheyes wide open. She jumped slightly and dropped the fork she held when avillain punched Aizawa in the stomach. Her heart was racing, her breathing becamerapid and her hands started shaking. She covered her mouth when the same villaindistracted Aizawa and another attacked him from behind while Aizawa was occupiedfighting his comrades. She couldn’t watch more so she closed her eyes and buriedher face in her hands. She wasn’t sure how long she stayed like this but whenshe heard the reporter’s voice she looked at the screen again.
“We are currently keeping track of the events and we’ll make anotherannouncement later on.” She needed to drink some water after this shock. Withoutpaying attention to the TV anymore she stood up and opened one of the cupboardsto get a glass. Was Aizawa alright? What if something happened to him? She watchedhow the stream of water filled the glass while her face turned pale. Oh godplease keep him safe. Her trembling fingers couldn’t handle the filled glassand some of the water spilled on the floor as she raised the glass closer toher lips. She couldn’t even take a sip because a sudden pain pierced her backmaking her drop the glass. She felt something warm drip down her legs and for amoment she thought she peed her pants but when she looked down she understoodit was far scarier. It was blood. She rushed to get her phone and sat on one ofthe chairs while breathing heavily as the pain continued to terrorize her. Shehad to call an ambulance but deep in her mind she knew that this might not helpher.
“Hello, tell me what’s the problem.”
“My back hurts really bad and I’m experiencing blood flow from my privateparts.”
“Miss this phone number is for emergencies. You can’t call when you feelpain during your period. Buy yourself some pills and you’ll feel better.”
“I forgot to mention I’m pregnant.”
“I’m so sorry miss. Tell me your address and I’ll send an ambulance rightaway.”
***
Aizawa was exhausted from the long fight. Thankfully he wasn’t badly injuredso after a few bandages he was free to go home. He opened the door quietlybecause he didn’t want to wake her up but was surprised to hear sounds comingfrom the kitchen. Was she up so late? She needed a goodnight sleep and a lot ofrest after all.
“Hey, you can’t…” There was no one. Maybe she forgot to turn off the TV. It wasstrange for her but it could happen to anyone so Aizawa wasn’t surprised. He washungry and ready to eat anything but it was hard to see in this dark room so heturned on the lights. What was displayed in front of his eyes was no differentfrom a murder scene. Trace of blood led from the chair to the sink or it wasthe other way around, broken glass, her unfinished meal on the table. Aizawa feltthe fear spread across his entire body. What if a villain broke in? He took outhis phone and tried calling her but the well know melody she used for a ringtone echoed through the room. No way! Aizawa panicked and stared at the blood unableto think. His thoughts moved chaotically around his head until he closed hiseyes and tried to calm down. There were only two possible scenarios: she waseither dead or they needed her alive and if that was the case they would mostprobably contact him. He hated this but he had no other option but to call the policeand wait. He jumped in surprise when his phone rang. They were fast.
“Mr. Aizawa?”
“Yes?”
“I’m the doctor taking care of your wife and it might be better if you’rearound her right now.”
“What happened?” He was partly relieved to find out she was alive.
“There’s no easy way to tell you this so I’ll be direct. Your wife had a miscarriage.”Aizawa remained silent for way too long. “Are you still there?”
“I’m on my way.”
***
When he entered her room in the hospital the first thing he saw was her redand swollen eyes. She looked at him and a tear rolled down her cheek.
“I’m sorry. I failed as a mother even before giving birth.”
“Don’t say this. It’s not your fault.” He sat on the bed next to her and wipedthe tears off her face before holding her hand. When she announced herpregnancy he wasn’t quite happy about it but as time passed he accepted theidea and caught himself looking at cradles as he passed by the windows of babystores. Before he noticed it seemed really nice to him. He could never be thebest parent so he decided to at least be a decent one so he went ahead andbought some parenting books secretly from her. When he finally started to feelexcited about the whole thing his happiness was stripped away from him by thecruel fate. He looked at her sad face. He wanted to cry as well but he mustn’t.He had to stay strong for her.

Gallbladder Cleanse: An Easy Step-by-Step Guide
Located just below the liver, the gallbladder plays an important role in the digestive system. Its main role is to store and recycle bile, which breaks down the fats in the food we eat. However, the gallbladder also communicates with other organs to perform key digestive functions such as waste elimination and enzyme production.
One of the best ways to promote optimal wellness is by making a gallbladder and liver flush part of your healthy lifestyle. Many adults over 40 have issues with cholesterol or follow a poor diet and, subsequently, suffer from gallbladder problems. However, anyone can benefit from this simple detox for your liver and gallbladder, especially if you follow a diet that includes meat, dairy, and processed food.[1]
Short Breakdown of the Gallbladder Cleanse
Preparation: Stock up on raw organic apple cider vinegar (ACV), Epsom salt, extra virgin olive oil, distilled water, and healthy, plant-based foods.
Days 1 to 4: Add two tablespoons of ACV per one gallon of distilled water, for a total of three gallons. Drink this mix throughout the day. Follow a healthy diet with three small meals throughout the day, such as avocado, nuts, or fruit.
Day 5, during the day: Eat the gallbladder cleanse soup or juice as described in the recipes below.
Day 5, at night: Perform a flush by drinking one tablespoon of Epsom salt mixed with water. An hour and a half later, drink 3/4 cup of organic extra virgin olive oil.
Day 6: Throughout the day, drink plenty of purified water with fresh lemon juice. Have fruit for breakfast, the rest of your gallbladder cleanse soup for lunch and a salad with a light protein for dinner.
Read the full details below.
What Does the Gallbladder Do?
The gallbladder is a small pear-shaped organ located on the right side of the body, underneath the liver. The gallbladder stores bile, a yellow-green fluid made by the liver that helps break down fats from food.
When you eat, the gallbladder releases bile through ducts into the upper part of the small intestine. This organ is an important partner with the liver in removing toxins from the body.
Causes & Symptoms of Gallstones
Most gallstones are formed from hardened cholesterol mixed with bile. If they get large enough, they can block the ducts and prevent bile from flowing out. This can irritate the gallbladder and affect its normal function.[2]
Some symptoms of gallstones include a yellowing of the skin (jaundice), fever with chills, indigestion, or gallbladder discomfort, which can be felt on the upper-right side of the abdomen and the right shoulder. Sometimes gallstones become so severe that they need to be surgically removed. Risk factors for gallstones can include:[3]
Obesity
Diabetes
Pregnancy
Not enough high-density lipoproteins (HDL, or "good" cholesterol)
Rapid weight loss
Poor diet
Crohn's disease
Blood disorders
Family history
Gallbladder Cleanse Protocol
A gallbladder cleanse is a safe, natural way to cleanse the gallbladder and improve both gallbladder and liver function. It's easy to perform at home, but you can easily perform this while working as long as you have time at home on your flush day.
The protocol for the five-day cleanse has two phases: eat a gallbladder cleanse diet over four days, followed by a flush on the fifth day.
The cleansing effect of the magnesium sulfate from the Epsom salt and the olive oil will help flush out your gallbladder. It will also stimulate your liver's detoxification abilities.
Ingredients
The key ingredients for your gallbladder cleanse are raw, organic apple cider vinegar, Epsom salt, extra virgin olive oil, distilled water, and healthy, plant-based foods.
Recommended Diet
Follow an organic, plant-based diet in the days leading up to the cleanse, and of course, during it. Allowed foods include vegetables, fruits, herbal teas, fresh fruit juice, nuts, and seeds. Make sure you are drinking purified water throughout the cleanse.
For an effective gallbladder cleanse, eliminate all dairy and meat products, as well as fatty, processed, and genetically modified (GMO) foods. Do not consume alcohol or tobacco, and avoid fried or spicy foods.
For an extra boost, you can enhance your ACV water with an herbal liver-support formula such as Livatrex®.
Instructions
For at least one week before you begin, avoid any beauty and home products that might contain harmful chemicals.
Days 1 to 4
In the morning, mix two tablespoons of raw organic ACV with one gallon of distilled water, shake, and refrigerate. Eat three small meals and two snacks per day and drink the distilled water mix. Eat your food slowly and chew it thoroughly to encourage efficient digestion.
You can also add liver-detoxifying herbs like turmeric, milk thistle, and dandelion, or spices such as cinnamon to your diet.
Breakfast
Drink an eight-ounce glass of the ACV and water mix first thing in the morning. You can enjoy this with a small bowl of fresh fruit. Choose fruit with high water and fiber content such as:
Watermelon
Grapefruit
Plums
Papaya
Kiwi
Cherries
Pears
Apples
Figs
Snacks
Select one type of nut or seed and enjoy a handful as a snack. Have it with 12 ounces of your ACV and water mix. The following are some of the best options:
Sunflower seeds
Brazil nuts
Pumpkin seeds
Almonds
Walnuts
Lunch
Around noon, eat the gallbladder cleanse soup or drink the cleanse juice. See the recipes below:
Gallbladder Cleanse Soup
1 cup organic broccoli
1 organic beet
2 organic carrots
2 bay leaves
10 organic garlic cloves
1/2 organic onion
1/4 organic lemon
1 tablespoon Himalayan crystal salt
Wash and finely chop the ingredients. Add them to a pot with 32 ounces of distilled or purified water, then bring to a boil. Reduce to low heat and let simmer for 30 minutes and enjoy.
Gallbladder Cleanse Juice
3 organic carrots (washed and peeled)
2 organic apples (washed and cut)
1 organic beet (washed and peeled)
6 organic kale leaves
1/2 organic lemon (washed and peeled)
1/2-inch ginger root
Use an extractor to get all the juice and enjoy.
Dinner
Select either an avocado seasoned with lemon and sea salt or a handful of walnuts for dinner. Alternatively, you may fast through the afternoon with just the ACV and water mix.
Day 5: The Flush
On day five, you will perform a gallbladder flush. This involves two steps done in the evening before you go to bed.
First, you will consume a mixture of one tablespoon of Epsom salt and eight ounces of warm, purified water around 7 p.m. Drink it quickly and ensure you are near a bathroom as you may experience liquid stool within 20 minutes.
You will follow this with six ounces of organic cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. You need to try to drink it all. If the taste is too much, try the following tips to make it more palatable:
Refrigerate the oil for a few hours.
Combine the oil with two tablespoons to one-half cup of freshly squeezed grapefruit, orange, or lemon juice in a jar and shake until mixed.
Pour the juice into one cup and the oil in another. Alternate between drinking from the two with a straw.
Getting Ready for Bed
Immediately after you finish drinking the oil, lie down on your right side with your knees pulled up to your stomach. Stay in this position for 30 minutes, then stretch out and try to go to sleep. Any cramping you experience is a positive sign that your body is releasing toxins; walk around for 10 minutes to help it subside. Another common side effect of a gallbladder cleanse is nausea; this is a sign that you may need another cleanse. Allow yourself to vomit if needed.
The Day After
Immediately after waking up, take six capsules of Oxy-Powder®. This will help flush what's been released from your gallbladder in your bowel movement.
Eat fruit for breakfast, the remaining gallbladder cleanse soup for lunch and a healthy dinner of salad and a light protein. Drink distilled or purified water with fresh lemon throughout the day.
Benefits of a Gallbladder Cleanse
Purging your gallbladder helps it perform its normal functions. And, as an important partner to the liver, those functions — which include supporting the overall digestive process, bile production, and maintaining a healthy metabolism — are vital to your health and well-being. Below are the top benefits of performing a gallbladder cleanse.
Flushes Toxins
Releasing toxins helps remedy the unwanted symptoms they can cause, including affecting the flow of bile, discomfort, and gallbladder irritation.
Promotes Normal Gallbladder Function
A healthy gallbladder supports the immune system by helping the liver eliminate the toxins that affect your energy, appearance, and daily performance. By doing this cleanse, you support gallbladder function, as well as that of your liver.
Boosts Fat Digestion
Cleansing the gallbladder — a warehouse for bile — helps the body digest and absorb both fats and fat-soluble vitamins in the small intestine.
Promotes a Healthy Body Weight
A gallbladder cleanse may help promote a healthy body weight by encouraging normal function of the digestive system.
Flushing the gallbladder also makes it easier for the liver to perform as a maintainer of metabolism and producer of bile.
Encourages Overall Vitality
Clearing the pathway between the gallbladder and the liver allows the rest of the body to receive the nutrients that promote overall energy, health, and wellness.
The Best Ways to Avoid Gallstones
One of the best ways to avoid gallstones is by following a diet that provides a satisfactory amount of healthy fats and high-fiber foods. Following a plant-based diet is associated with a decreased risk of developing gallstones, according to research.[1]
Avoid refined carbohydrates and consume less sugar. Seek ways to safely lose weight if you are overweight or obese, and maintain an optimal weight by eating healthy food and engaging in regular physical activity. Obesity is a known risk factor for developing gallstones.[4]
You can also try natural remedies for gallstones. These include nutritional plant-based supplements such as vitamin C, which some research has shown can reduce your risk of developing deposits.[1]
Precautions & Potential Side Effects
If you have any health concerns or take any medications, consult your healthcare professional before performing the gallbladder cleanse. Side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting.
Some people experience a "healing crisis" during their cleanse, which, because of the flow of toxins out of their body, can actually make them temporarily feel worse. Symptoms can include nausea, headaches, fatigue, and general malaise. Keep in mind that your body is detoxifying and you will soon feel better.
Points to Remember
The gallbladder is primarily a storage site for bile, which is a key ingredient in the digestive process that helps break down the fats in food. The gallbladder also plays an important role in communicating with other digestive organs.
Adults over 40, especially those who are overweight or have problems with cholesterol, are particularly prone to developing gallstones and may benefit from doing a gallbladder cleanse. These unwanted deposits can block the bile from being released and lead to symptoms such as abdominal discomfort and irritation. However, a gallbladder cleanse is good for nearly everyone, regardless of the diet they follow since we are all exposed to many toxins in the environment.
We recommend incorporating our Liver Cleanse Kit which you can also perform as part of a healthy lifestyle. This kit is a natural way to simultaneously support your gallbladder and liver.
The gallbladder cleanse involves four days of eating fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds while avoiding processed foods and meat, followed by a gallbladder flush. The flush involves consuming Epsom salt and water followed by organic olive oil to remove toxins from the body. Many people report feeling better than ever after completing a cleanse.

29週目、初の両親学級 (1/2) 29 weeks, attending parents class for first time (1/2)

19 June 2018
The 29th week is pasting so quick. It’s nearly ending. Today, we will be attending the parental class for first time. My husband was indisposed to attending the parental class though as it’s a valuable opportunity, I persuade him for the attendance. He then shuffled around, we attended the 3 hours long parental class from 6pm to 9pm.
There are many parental classes in Auckland. The attendance fee is vary from free to top price, which you can choose whichever suits you best timing and budget. However, if you are intending to attend a free parental class, you will need to book early, otherwise you will be missed out as the class fills pretty quickly.
I have learnt so much stuffs at the first parental class.
The first half was, the educator showed us couple of convenient apps, gave us some tips to being healthier pregnancy, some technical terms related pregnancy, as well as the bags you will need to be prepared for the labour and it’s process. And, how to make safe sleeping environment.
To being healthier pregnancy, 40 minutes exercise per day is encouraged.
I used to commute by bicycle before pregnancy until around 12 weeks, though I stopped it and started commute by bus or train. I had no exercise since then, I started to think what I can do. I heard that maternity yoga is one of the best exercise, but it was hard for me to fit into my schedule, due to the time and area they offer. I knew that I will stop doing if I planed strict exercise, so I decided to get off a train station or couple of bus stops before the closest stops from my home, then walk about 20 minutes to home. It takes about 10 minutes between city bus stop and/or train station to the office, so if I consider it in the morning and the evening, it will make about 40 minutes target so I decided to do it from now on.
Other topics was what you can eat and can’t eat during pregnancy. I already knew this as my doctor gave me leaflet as well as my midwife mentioned but it’s always good to getting reminder. Raw foods are strictly prohibited. Means that I have to be patience that not eating my favourite sushi and salad. But I was getting really looking forward when the educator told me that you can eat as soon as you gave birth.
She also mentioned and encouraged to getting vaccination for whooping cough. I did it already so I don’t need to get it done again. It’s grateful that the New Zealand Government will pay the fee for the whooping cough and flu shots if you were pregnant.
The technical term which is related for pregnancy - such as endorphin, mucus plug, tearing, contraction etc, were all unfamiliar to me, so it was helpful.
It made me bit nervous when I hear about the labour process. It’s not for everyone though in general, it takes approx. 36 hours between the beginning of contraction to giving birth. According to the educator, the mouth of the uterus is repeat opening and closing until it become about 10cm during the contraction. It has “10, 3, 1 rules”, once the delivery is just around the corner. This means, if 1 minutes long contraction comes 3 times in 10 minutes, this is the sign that the delivery is soon. What is the contraction? How it is like, and how painful or will it bearable? I heard lots of expressions like a watermelon comes out from your nose, pain is 100 times grater than period pain. This is very scared thing to hear, especially you have never experienced. I thought those things made us scary emotions.
I also learnt what I will need to prepared for the day. There are 6 items that I need to be getting ready for. First is a bag for labour. This bag contains items that you will need during the labour. It’s personal preference though, something like tennis or golf ball that will use to reduce pain, towel to use to wipe sweat, water bottle and straw etc.
2nd bag is to putting items for after the birth - for hospital stay. In general, once you did natural birth, you will be sent to the Birthcare soon after. People stay there approx. 2-3 nights, so you will need your changes, toiletries, maternity pads etc.
3rd item is a bag for the baby, like undergarments, swaddling clothes and nappies.
4th item is a bag for accompanying person, such as husband, partner, parent, friend etc. It’s normal in New Zealand that husband/partner to attend the birth. It will be long process so the accompanying person’s bag is also essential item.
5th item is a bag for food. As it’s physically spent event, the food is also important that you can eat them between the contraction. Those items such as rice ball, sandwiches, fruits etc, and better to put them into chilly bin to keep the item fresh.
the last item is child seat. This is the important and essential item as you can’t be discharged from a hospital if you don’t have it. The educator reminded us that you will still be required to have the child seat, even though you are using a taxi.
The last topic was about safe sleeping. It’s very sad thing but young children lost their lives from suffocation by blanket. I started think about how it will like. Since I found pregnancy, I heard risk of miscarriage, and congenital abnormality, I always worried about those things. Every time I got ultrasound scanned to prove the fetus healthiness, alive made me very relieved. I still have some more weeks to go with same feelings, worries, and the labour means that the baby, myself and of course my husband, all of us are work together very hard. Then to finally meet with joy... I will ever be regret enough if suffocation happens to my child, just because of my fault which could be prevented.
So, what “Safe sleep” is? * You should not use baby seat or capsule as sleeping bed. This could be caused block the airways, and result for sudden death. * Sleeping face-down is also risk for suffocation. It’s always best to put baby face-up. * Baby bed or baby cot should be used for sleeping. It’s always best to keep your baby within 1m even at night time. The baby might be waking up by parent’s snore though it helps that you can make sure that the baby is still alive. * For the bedding and nightwear. It should be made by cotton or wool. Fleece should not be used as bedding and nightwear for babies. Fleece is warm but it’s interfere with thermoregulation. * The size for the duvet should be used right size for baby. If it’s large, it risks for suffocation. Also, it’s better to place baby’s feet close to the edge. In general, babies are tend to going down ways. By means, if you place a baby’s head close to the bed top, the baby move down and the face will be covered by the duvet. Same risk, pillow should not be used for kids under 3 years old.
Other things I learnt were you should not use swaddling clothes tightly to prevent movement for the baby, and not using mittens while sleeping.

14 Weird Pregnancy Facts
So let’s start off with the fact that pregnancy in general is a weird and exciting experience to go through. Isn’t it crazy to think that you’re growing another human being inside you? Mind blowing right? There’s this living creature inside of you moving around which is another crazy experience. I’ve heard people explaining what it supposedly feels like to have a baby move inside you when you really won’t understand until it’s actually happening to you. There are many more things you could possibly experience while being pregnant however, I only touched on a few.
1) When you get to be at about four months pregnant your little, innocent, baby begins urinating inside you! On average, your baby urinates at about a liter a day. Weird right? Oh it gets better! Your little one actually drinks the urine they are excreting!
2) At the end of your pregnancy, your placenta will produce the same amount of estrogen that a non-pregnant woman produces in three years’ time!
3) The longest pregnancy that resulted in a live birth belongs to Beulah Hunter which was 375 days. Nine months is long enough, can you imagine over a year of having that big belly and heartburn?
4) Your heart actually get’s bigger during pregnancy! According to Live Strong, the size of your heart and its position changes during pregnancy. Your uterus expands thus pushing the diaphragm upwards which then pushes the heart farther into the chest cavity. It will increase by about a total of 12% during pregnancy.
5) One in every 2000 babies is born with teeth. These teeth are called Natal teeth and are extremely rare, as you can see by the numbers. Most of the time these Natal teeth have just come earlier in life when their usual schedule doesn’t make an appearance until later on when they receive their baby teeth. So far, there is no known cause for this condition but studies show that there are hereditary links. If a baby is born with teeth and they are not loose in any way then there is no need to remove them because it is not considered a choking hazard unless another reason to remove them becomes evident. Another reason that these teeth might be pulled would be if they are very sharp because they would cause a lot of discomfort to the nursing mother. How scary would it be trying to breast feed a baby with teeth? Ouch!
6) Having a lot of heartburn during your pregnancy? Well it looks like your baby will be born with a full head of hair. Yes ladies, this is TRUE. According to CBS News, a study was done at Johns Hopkins which was published in the journal Birth stating that there is some type of correlation between heartburn and a child being born with hair.
7) Ever heard of having “pregnancy brain”? Well apparently it’s due to the fact that women have less oxygen in their blood which causes this phenomenon. “There is 15 to 40 times more progesterone and estrogen marinating the brain during pregnancy,” says Louann Brizendine, MD. Another factor that supposedly causes “pregnancy brain” is a lack of sleep. No one thinks clearly or functions normally when their going through some sort of sleep deprivation. Bad news is ladies that this fogginess could last up to a year after giving birth! No one can blame you for forgetting things now, it’s a pregnancy thing!
8) If you’re having a little baby girl she develops all of her reproductive eggs that she will ever use in utero whereas little boys don’t develop sperm until they reach puberty years later.
9) Did you know you can actually share your pregnancy symptoms with your spouse or significant other? It’s a term that’s called Couvade Syndrome which is also known as sympathetic pregnancy. This is actually a type of condition where the father-to-be will have similar experiences to you in the sense of some aches and pains along with those crazy dreams that come along with pregnancy. Is your spouse gaining some weight right along with you and having those never ending back pains? Then most likely they are suffering from this condition.
10) Babies can actually cry while their in the womb. This can start as early as the 28th week of gestation. They don’t make any kind of crying noises just yet but they silently cry which makes us want to cry right along with them! There was a study done that recorded ultrasounds of fetuses during the third trimester in which they startled the baby with a low decibel noise against the mother’s stomach which caused the baby to display traditional crying behavior. Such behavior consisted of opening their mouths and gasping irregularly. Makes sense that this can happen though right? I mean, it is rather dark and scary in there.
11) Nipple stimulation is the only scientifically proven method of legitimately bringing on labor. So eating pineapple and spicy food is really unnecessary because that’s not going to cause you to go into labor. Nipple stimulation actually releases oxytocin which is a hormone that causes contractions to start. This hormone also helps your labor to progress. Now don’t think that by doing this that it’s a sure fire way to kick start those contractions into gear, this can only work if your body is primed and ready for labor to actually start.
12) More twins are born in Central Africa then anywhere else in the world. According to Livescience, the central African country of Benin, has the highest average of twin birth rates with 27.9 twins per 1,000 births.
13) A woman’s uterus expands to more than 500 times its normal size over her entire pregnancy! During the third trimester, a woman’s uterus gets to be the size of a watermelon! The human body is truly an amazing thing.
14) Your little fetus can actually get erections in the womb. As parents, thinking about your young child getting aroused isn’t the kind of thoughts we want to have however, these little babies have been caught being aroused during ultrasounds.
As I said previously, there are so many other symptoms that can happen during pregnancy and these are just a few of the weirdest that I found interesting. None of these symptoms put your baby at risk for anything or endangers him or her in any way. These are just some interesting facts that occur thanks to good ol’ Mother Nature. WHEN SHOULD I BE DR1NKING WATER
Water: How much should you drink every day?
You may need to modify your total fluid intake depending on how active you are, the climate you live in, your health status, and if you're pregnant or breast-feeding.
How much additional fluid you need depends on how much you sweat during exercise, and the duration and type of exercise.
2:Intense exercise.
During long bouts of intense exercise, it's best to use a sports drink that contains sodium, as this will help replace sodium lost in sweat and reduce the chances of developing hyponatremia, which can be life-threatening. Also, continue to replace fluids after you're finished exercising.
3:Environment.
5: Pregnancy or breast-feeding.
Women who are pregnant or breast-feeding need additional fluids to stay hydrated.
To ward off dehydration and make sure your body has the fluids it needs, make water your beverage of choice. It's also a good idea to: 1: Drink a glass of water or other calorie-free or low-calorie beverage with each meal and between each meal
2: Drink water before, during and after exercise
Although uncommon, it is possible to drink too much water.

Pregnancy is a mysterious and magical experience that makes you come to appreciate all that the human body is capable of doing to keep your little fetus safe, secure, and growing strong.
