Ah, this ship--it's so underrated! Like, it's not even the most popular m/f ship for Kokichi! Isn't that crazy? Still, I adore this ship a lot! So, let's talk about it~!

A classic best friends to lovers situation, except the best friends love taking jabs at each other at every point they can. Their insults are all for show and never real, and they respect one another as much as they adore each other. No one can handle their mouths but each other, and they relish in disrupting the room with their foul language. Their relationship is a roaring laughter between two best friends playing a competitive game with one another, warm and loud and hearty--but it feels so much like home that you don't mind the squealing and giggles. In fact, they make everything better. Yet just like home, there is a tenderness in the late hours of solitude, where they can find rest with one another. Then their love is like bedding that's fresh out of the drier--encompassing, warm, and secure.

What I like about this ship: I love that Kokichi and Miu banter like a foul-mouthed old married couple. They're like childhood friends who grew up with the same language and it's a language that only they can speak, where as to outsides it looks vile, it's all in good fun. There is a comfort in loving your best friend, and it's a sweet, fun kind of love that outlasts life itself.

i am answering these yall ive just kshdghdgd many things happening. v stressed rn//this ask game

1. favorite thing : GOD his character is just?? so complex?? its like each time they make better and better antagonists istg, his whole thing about not trusting people and lying?? the fact that he's a genuinely good person who helps in trials in his own ways, and his sacrifice really shouldn't be in vain

2. least favorite thing: the fact that im similar to him in a way, maybe i am a kokichi kinnie but just doesn't want to admit it. also the fact that if i knew him irl i would either despise him or join him there's no in-between

3. favorite line : literally EVERYTHING from "do robots have dicks?" to "You guys talk about cooperation and teamwork, but you're all afraid. You're too scared to point your fingers at others, so you hide behind the word, ‘trust.’" is literal gold. love this guy

4. brOTP : with gonta... idk seeing it romantically is kinda 😐 but imagining kokichi genuinely caring for the big guy and teaching him things while also being protected... good shit. ALSO PLATONIC IRUOUMA IS FRIENDSHIP GOALS

5. OTP : saiouma😳 fr though their dynamic and what they represend as a whole is just so beautiful to me, amazing ship. also oumota (chapter 5 duo😔) is just 10/10, chefskiss. the whole imagery and symbolism of chapter 5 making the liar believe and the believer to lie??? amazing. give these two an oscar for acting and writing.

They wanted some iruouma with Kokichi being real nice and praising her as he kisses her. Which I ran away with Miu’s complicated feelings of needing to be useful to deserve any sort of affection and Kokichi making her take care of herself. And kissing her. Anyway...

Miu pulls a double-all-nighter, and Kokichi takes it upon himself to make sure she’s ok.

The knocking at her door went unnoticed for a good few minutes. Miu remained hunched over her desk, vision blurring but determined to finish her work quickly. A digital clock sat on the surface next to her, with an LCD screen that she’d made quick glances at through the night, watching the hours crawl by as she kept at it. Crumpled bits of paper—discarded designs—obscured it now, but the last time she checked it’d been around 2:15 in the morning.

“Miu!” A voice called directly into her ear.

She shrieked, jerking away from the noise so violently that she tumbled straight out of her chair to the floor. The impact rattled her brain against the sides of her skull and made her ears ring. Miu held the sides of her head, moaning pitifully until the room decided to stop spinning. Then finally, everything settled down, the tinnitus faded, and her vision focused just enough to recognize the person standing over her.

“Wh-what the hell you’re doing here you… virgin cucklord?” She pushed herself upright, but that small movement dizzied her. “Try—trying to sneak into my room to do… naughty things to me while I’m sleeping?”
