We can infer from how Netherworld society is presented, and how demon psychology and physiology is described that BDSM is probably fairly common, even those the series isn’t going to dipict it, on account of it being a shonen.

A majority of the population has predictable urges to inflict pain when they get stressed. It’d makes sense that one common way to releave that stress is to inflict pain in a controlled enviroment with rules and safe guards against anyone getting hurt.

Also Torture is a part of the common ciriculum, which implies that society considers it an important skill for a well rounded adult demon to know. I don’t think most demons are expected to torture thier enemies for information, but there is a passtime where knowing how to inflict pain without perminant injury is important to know.

I would go as far as to say that BDSM is considered “vanilla” in Netherworld society and human “vanilla” is considered kinky. Also I think Ameri is kinky by demon standards. When her and Iruma start dating, there will be a bunch of speculation about who “holds the whip” in the relationship. Based on height some people would assume Ameri, based on how they interact others would assume Iruma. The reality is that they both have a praise kink.

Henri Azazel was a serious demon. He took pride in his work. It was his precise action and stern attitude that helped him to reach such heights.

No half-hearted attempts or any lazy assignments. He proved how worthy he was to be the head of his department. His work was his second greatest pride. The first being his precious daughter, of course.
