the ones that come to mind immediately are cinderruby, alcohol poisoning, ironwatts, glynder, and ironwick from rwby.

another that jumps to mind is pliroy from yuri on ice but idk if jj is villainous, i think he's just very antagonistic. and catholic lol.

gantworth, gantlana, and VKcest from ace attorney are very good. and my favorite of course: krispollo !!!

and my favorite ship full of grey areas is glimweaver from spop. they're just so *chefs kiss*

2. general opinion of it

i love this trope honestly. i don't really subscribe to the whole "there's good and evil and some people deserve good things and some people deserve bad things" christian mindset, i always think there's room for people to grow and i think people should be able to have good, calm, healing things and i think this trope is a good vehicle for that.

i also like it when the good guy suffers sometimes. teehee.

3. ship that doesn't fit but i would read about

i feel like the obvious answer here is ironqrow. fr they were setting up a big homoerotic fight scene between them and then it just didn't happen. smh.
