I love listening to Imp & Skizz for multiple reasons but one of them is learning stuff about creators I never knew since I've only been watching some for a few months. One of those is learning that Impulse's real name is Scott and that's why they were called Gem & The Scotts. I just thought it was a bit of Scott Smajor and Gem calling him a Scott, like "oh that's such Scott energy - you're a Scott!"

Mumbo Jumbo: I mean yes, he’s a giant, and yes, according to the lore irl he’s trained in martial arts. But have you seen him? I bet you could distract him with a word puzzle and take him down in a single sucker punch.

Docm77: The GOATFATHER will not pause until you are destroyed. It might take a while, but he will go without sleep or rest to enact his judgment. DO NOT FIGHT DOC.

Bdubs: Uhhhhh. So have you ever looked at a man and went “that guy fights dirty”? Bdubs is 5′7″ of pure spite and he will wear your head as a trophy.

Joe Hills: Oh yeah you’d beat Joe in a fight. But you wouldn’t WIN the fight. He’d write a poem about it and his chat would jeer at you and somehow you would still feel bad. Consider not fighting Joe.

ZombieCleo: She’s an elementary school teacher. Not only should you not fight Cleo, I bet she knows enough about how to defuse a fight that you physically can’t fight Cleo. (But if she decides to throw down you lose.)

Ethoslab: DO NOT FIGHT ETHO. The man is a cryptid. For all we know he’s a werewolf. Plus I’ve seen him play Among Us, you would not come out of that fight looking or feeling good. Do not fight Etho.

GoodTimesWithScar: WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO FIGHT SCAR. You would win, and then I personally would manifest in your house to beat you up for hurting the star wars minecraft wheelchair-using man. And then Jellie would bite you.

TangoTek: Yeah I bet you could take him mostly because he would feel bad about fighting you. You know who wouldn’t feel bad about shanking you though? Mrs. Tango. Do not fight Mr. TangoTek.

Impulse: If anyone can find a way to make totems of undying manifest in the real world I believe it’s gonna be Impulse. You will not win this fight.

Zedaph: Picture this. You’ve won the fight with Zedaph because he had his headphones on and didn’t see you coming. You’re taking a breath of victory. And then the bizarre contraption he build in the night to wake him up on time malfunctions, exploding and killing you instantly. Do not fight Zedaph.

iJevin: Another hermit where it’s vital that you approach while he’s distracted. While he’s deep in the code, you get in one punch and flee. Why do you flee? He came second in the head games, remember. He can grind out a fight, if you make it worth his while (maybe don’t make it worth his while).

WelsKnight: approach a fight with wels with caution. He was in the military and probably like actually knows how to fight properly. Which might mean he would feel bad about fighting a random person? Either way I wouldn’t risk it. And his stans will murder you.

RenDog: You will win the fight with Ren. And then he’ll tell you you did a great job and you’ll feel guilty, like you should, you monster.

TFC: WHY ARE YOU FIGHTING GRANDFATHER MINECRAFT? JUST LET HIM MINE AND READ HIS FANFICTION. 

VintageBeef: Look. If you see a six-foot man who keeps donkeys and that beard and you want to fight him, I’ve gotta respect your dedication to the battledome. I don’t think you’re gonna win, though.

Keralis: This is what I know about Keralis— he is constantly sending other people gifts from sweden, and Etho went through an inventory of anvils trying to kill him while Keralis panic-sang and swam away from death (successfully). This is a high-risk, low-reward fight.

Xisuma: So on the one hand he’s a cryptid, but on the other what we do know of his IRL form is that he’s startlingly buff, and a musician. You ever seen a band member fight? They know no honour or reason. Don’t fight Xisuma. 

Hypno: Have you seen this guy hyperfocus during a grind? You could bring an entire mariachi band to the beatdown and I don’t think he’d notice. Go for it, you can totally fight Hypno.

XBCrafted: So yeah, you could totally punch XB, but I’m not actually sure you could fight the man, as his vibes are so extremely chill I’m not sure he’d fight back. So you’d just be beating up XB. Questionable.

Grian: He’s killed Dream. Twice. Grian has an immaculate sense of ambush and a great deal of personal luck. Want to start a fight that turns into a protracted session of “why are you hitting yourself”? Then totally fight Grian. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it. 

False: DON’T FIGHT FALSE. You ever see her evicerate a troll? She is the Queen of Heads, Hearts, and Body Parts. DO NOT FIGHT FALSE. 

CubFan: Cub’s idea of a great day outside is on the golf course, so he can probably out-walk you but I’ve yet to meet a golfer who can fight. So totally fight him. Hey, you don’t have any businesses you don’t want taken over or bought out, right? Cause if sooo.

Iskall: I am honestly torn because on the one hand I do believe that Iskall doesn’t look like an IRL fighter. On the other hand his personal chaos field is just so high that venturing into it with hostile intent seems like a bad idea.

Stressmonster: Hey so funny story, her day job is as a personal trainer. She will destroy you, and laugh the whole time. Don’t fight Stress.

Brief crash course for HBomb94 (not Hbomberguy!) + Hermits for those unfamiliar with him:

H is a MCC player and the Sands of Time VOD reviewer. He’s a core member of the MCC community and he’s why players say “Hi HBomb” before SoT

H teams with the hermits frequently to the point it’s a meme: H collects the hermits (he’s teamed with most of the MCC hermits— False, Ren, Grian, Pearl, Cub, Gem, Scar, Impulse) and he gets adopted by the hermits

In MCC, he’s known for having the “H factor” which states his presence boosts his teammates’ scores. He’s a fantastic leader and he keeps the morale up.

H is in Iskall’s Vault Hunters series— this is probably his most direct link to HC. H was invited after Ren met him when they teamed in MCC9, so yeah, that’s part of the Blue Bats’ legacy.

H is a big fan of Hermitcraft and he’s watched many hermits before— there’s more of his fanboying in his watch of Grian’s HC7 world tour

H sometimes teams with hermits outside of MCC in various e-sports events, but most of the team ups are in MCC

H was the one who predicted False popping off in Dodgebolt back in August 2020 when they hadn’t met yet

H was the team leader for MCC9 Blue Bats (H, Fruitberries, False, Ren) and he truly believed in all of them as a team even though False and Ren had gotten 9th like three times in a row, and they had an amazing legendary underdog victory. Probably the best MCC hermit victory ever (but I’m obviously biased haha).

Since then, H has teamed with the hermits many times, and they’ve won multiple times (Blue9 with False and Ren, Aqua20 with Gem, Aqua29 with False and Cub)

He played in irl MCC Twitch Rivals with Scar, Gem and Impulse (and possibly met Tango there in person)

H is a huuuuuge fanboy of the hermits in general and he’s always so proud and happy to team with them. He’s like “IT’S ME AND MY HERMITS! :D”. He’s vocally supportive and encouraging of the hermits in MCC (even when they were underestimated and seen as cannon fodder).

While H is an honorary hermit, it’s a different way from, let’s say, Skizz, because H isn’t in the Life series / Empires, he’s not a builder / redstoner— he’s like the MCC / SoT guy. He’s beloved among the MCC hermits, and the hermits and H are enthusiastic about each other.

Sands of Time and Decked Out have been frequently compared to each other, Grian even mentioned to H at the end of MCC18 that he got his ravager dodging skills from Decked Out 1

H being on HC is very exciting not only because H is a big hermit fan, he’s also not on Life series / Empires like the rest of the guests, so he has less of a connection to Tango personally, but they still invited him ^_^

3. the blood sheep: (empires smp s1) used for magical sacrifices and came from a world unknown. unrelated to exor and xornoth but have evil capabilities. all hail blood sheep

4. joel: (empires smp s2) was sausages baby daddy. the god of thunder and lore

5. hermes: (empires smp s2) joel and sausages child and a demigod. able to manipulate time and weather. no specific age, somewhere from toddler to preteen. has no set gender (he/they pronouns mainly used)

6: pearl/santa perla: (empires smp s1 and 2, afterlife smp) s1 sausages best friend who died in his arms. became a saint represented by sunflowers. sausage was one of her angels in afterlife. s2 sausage devoted his life to her and created a religion worshipping her. they follow each other through every life protecting each other

7: the watchers: (bcg smp) sausage found a watcher sword and the fandom ran with it. he is not officially canon to evo/life series watchers (yet)

8: the fates: (sos smp/minecraft sos) controlled that specific universe and blocked out any lore related to other smps. specifically hated sausage because he constantly broke the rules of that world. frequently targeted him

9: nat and dem: (border smp) two gods fighting over the devotion of sausage. nat had a specific connection to spruce trees. dem attempted to kill nat (was unsuccessful). both speak to him through notes and give him gifts. each claim the other is evil. nat is short for nature, dem is short for something unspecified (probably demon)

10: sun god bdubs: (empires smp s2) god of the sun that sausage and gem worshipped. had a silly rivalry with santa perla since she was associated with the moon. the main worshipping was just making sure to always sleep at night

I'm actually surprised that you consider Joel and Scott to be close, but maybe that's because I don't know much of them or their relationship! I figured they weren't that close because of how ready Joel is to go after Scott every time while no one else is as willing from Scott's social nature or just from intimidation, and Joel remains unaffected - I just thought they weren't that close or much attached to their relationship, again - I don't know much of their relationship so that's how it came across to me!

Joel and Scott used to be neighbors, and Joel only really makes mean jokes with people he considers his good friends (Grian, Jimmy(a LOT), Etho, Gem, etc.) which is why he goes after Scott a lot. I believe he talks a little about it during his Imp & Skizz interview, but take that with a grain of salt cause it might have been a stream. I don’t remember😅 but I know Joel and Scott are good friends. There was a time in MCC where Joel spilt a drink on his keyboard and broke it, so he had to run to Scott’s house and borrow Scott’s spare before the next event started lol. But yeah Joel isn’t intimidated by Scott for the same reasons Cleo, Lizzie, Martyn, and Pearl aren’t very intimidated by Scott. They know him too well and aren’t afraid to push his buttons. They know where his boundaries are, and that’s very sweet. Scott was actually at Joel and Lizzie’s wedding, too! They’ve played on the same servers together for years and years now, and they hang out together all of the time. They went to Japan together a few months ago, too. Joel’s only mean to people who he knows for sure can handle it, and Scott can DEFINITELY handle it, hence the targeting lmao. I think it’s actually really sweet that Joel knows exactly where Scott’s boundaries are and feels comfortable enough to be (playfully) aggressive now and then. That being said, I completely understand how it may have come across that they’re not close. That’s just how Joel shows affection, though💚

That said for the love of the watchers can we be fucking normal about boundaries for a second? Yes Gem has now said she is ok with shipping (as long as it is all characters and not with real people) but she used to say she wasn't and people still shipped it.

I can't find the video now and I feel like I'm going insane and imagined it, but there was a video of them IRL and the thumbnail was of Gem and Pearl and the entire comment section was "the way they look at each other <3" and maybe I'm just sensitive but that felt very solidly in weird territory.

Please be normal about content creators and respect them because they are actual humans.

I love smol Pearl and tall Gem. I want to see more tall gem too. I think their height difference is cute.
