Really hate how she has fused hands and this resin gimmick but she’s soooooo pretty 😍

So I couldn't stop myself from buying iris because she is so beautiful and I love her hair

And she is gorgeous

And her hair isn't fully stiff with product like the old dolls used to be

But...

She did come with 2 left boots

And I did immediately break the belt by touching it gently

Well

She does have lovely hair and her design is still beautiful

Holiday Unboxing Marathon (1/?)

First up, one of the more recent arrivals-- Creative Crystals Iris! I hate her stupid red jelly boots, so I nabbed a pair of the rainbow blind box boots for her from Mercari.

I think this character is precious, though MGA absolutely did her dirty introducing her at this late date in such a garbage line. Her hair is relatively product free, and the quality of her clothing is...decent, I guess (subpar for classic RH but better than most of what we've seen in the past year). Her skirt is reminiscent of the second look that came with Fantastic Fashion Amaya (I may give her the handbag from that outfit). Of all the RH dolls I have her skin tone is closest to Michelle, so that's probably your best bet for a body swap if you want the old articulation, though it's not an exact match (Iris's may be unique?).

These rainbow edges are EVERYTHING ^_^

I'm not even going to bother with the resin gimmick; I dumped her accessories in the 'deal with this later' discard box for now. All that extra junk made this one a b*tch to unbox, hopefully the next one will be quicker!

i'm not even knocking it i'm just a little obsessed at how the Most Goofily Anime ace attorney's character designs get is like 7 games in with iris wilson. every single game leading up to it takes place in the 21st century with a relatively very grounded setting. so grounded that you can look at pretty much any character with somewhat unnaturally colored hair (there are not many) and go "ah yes they're greying early" or "ah you can reasonably assume they're using hair dye because it suits their personality/motivations." and then you get to the game(s) set in 1900 and they hit you with the most self insert oc looking eight year old and provide absolutely no explanation as to why she looks like this. and it rules. this is peak
