Writing Tips:

Write a lot.

Don't worry about mistakes or editing. Just write a lot to get your ideas out. Practice makes better, and writing a lot will help you gain confidence. You don't have to post it anywhere of you don't want to!

2. Try microfics!

Microfics are a great way to practice writing certain ships, or just practice in general. They're also lovely for getting a feel of posting! They're low-pressure and low-commitment, which is lovely!

3. Find people to write with.

Whether it's people online or in person, find people to talk about writing and write with. It's very motivating and helps hold you accountable.

4. Be gentle with yourself!

This is supposed to be fun. Don't beat yourself up or be too hard on yourself.

5. Write down your ideas.

Ideas come at weird times. Write them down, because you'll forget them.

HP canon debater & fanfics writer

I am in my 30s, genderfluid - she/they - Scandinavian, but live in the UK, and I am a long COVIDer/CFS/ME and lifelong PoTSer!

On this blog, I am (mostly) a canon-compliant Marauder fanfic writer - who likes to discuss the canon. I mostly ship canon (especially JILY!!!, Hinny, Romione, Tedromeda, Remadora) because I am boring, but I adore Prongsfoot and Sebinis, and I’m not anti most non-canon ships if they are true to their canon characterisation.

I will argue and discuss canon with anyone who's interested. If you don't care about canon, fine, but you and I probably won't enjoy each other's posts very much.

I don’t support JKR’s views (Read: I AM EXTREMELY ANTI HER VIEWS). I regularly question whether I should just abandon the fandom because of her (I have stayed away in the past), but then again, I have a strong emotional attachment to these fictional characters.

When we were up to no good

This long fic consists of 4 parts, and was me very much wanting more fics that are consistent with canon as per this post.

Part 1: I solemnly swear - COMPLETE

Quote: 'No friendship is an accident'

We meet our cast of heroes age 11 and follow them as they become the dear friends we know them to be. James and Snape become sworn enemies. This part ends shortly after the big discovery.

Part 2: Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs.

Quote: 'The best memories come from bad ideas with best friends'

The boys really become that tight-knit group we like to call the marauders: they set out to become animagi; Sirius and James become the popular, bullying gits we see in the Pensieve; the Whomping Willow incident happens and this part ends shortly after Snape's worst memory.

Part 3: Mischief Managed.

Quote: 'They say I changed a lot. I say a lot changed me' 

The war has always been in the background (quite present actually), but it's at this point our story takes a really dark turn. The Marauders face their last two years of Hogwarts, James does some serious growing up, becomes Head Boy - and of course, starts dating Lily Evans. This ends with our heroes graduating Hogwarts.

Part 4: Until the very end.

💡 what's a fun idea you had that you didn't have time to get to?

oh god, there are SO many, where do i even begin 😭😭

there’s two that have taken up residence in my head for now, though.

first is a james/sirius fic. due to a potions mishap, sirius accidentally turns into a girl and it leads to all sorts of confusing feelings and emotions for our jamie boy. ofc he’s always considered sirius to be the most attractive person in the room but now it’s that and more. their previous closeness becomes more loaded (sirius sitting in his lap as a girl has some major effects on him, for eg) and he’s just. floundering. this one i started writing a while ago and got as far as the potions class + first look at girl!sirius but then it tapered off 😓

the second one is something that came to me recently and i really really want to make it happen!!! it’s an AU fic, gen, where sirius is somehow exonerated after a couple years in azkaban. when he tries to get custody of harry, he’s thwarted by the Powers That Be and he has to find an alternative way of taking care of his godson. cue him looking up petunia and showing up at her doorstep. repeatedly. essentially, i imagine this to be a sort of ‘finding a kindred soul in the most unlikely place’ kind of a fic, where sirius and petunia form a tentative, stilted friendship over being two individuals who’ve been harmed & left behind by the wizarding world.

by having sirius enter the picture, he takes over the caretaking and affection part of harry’s upbringing and petunia can provide the protection they require. they form an unlikely truce. and then they realise how much they have in common (eldest siblings, family outsiders, bratty younger siblings, losing a brother/sister in the war etc etc) and that leads to the most hilariously mismatched coparenting unit you’ve seen. it’s not romantic, but they definitely have an understanding.

so yeah, that’s an idea that i’ve had floating around for a couple weeks haha

James Sirius Potter, eldest son of Ginny anf Harry Potter meets the eldest Malfoy daughter, Anastasia

It was her first year at hogwarts. She stood at platform Platform 9¾, her hand holding onto her fathers as their mother held her nine year old brother, Scorpius, to her chest. Anastasia could feel a million eyes on her and on her family, but not for any good reason.

“Look at The Dark Lord’s children…” they would whisper, as if she couldn’t hear the whispers.

She looked up at her father, her gray eyes meeting her fathers. A sigh escaped her lips, as she murmured. “Do I have to go?”

Draco looked down at his eldest daughter and squeezed her hand reassuringly, his gaze softening. “Anastasia, it’ll be alright. You’re stronger than you think”

Anastasia looked down at her feet and then looked to her side to see Scorpius giving her a side hug, a little frown on her roundish, pale face. “I’ll miss you, Ana”

“I’ll miss you too…” She mumbled and kissed the top of his head and then kissed her parents cheeks. Anastasia grabbed her luggage and walked into the train. She held herself tall and with confidence, as she walked. Once she saw an open compartment, she walked in and shut the door.

Anastasia set her luggage down and opened it up, pulling out a book on the history of runes. She opened it up and removed the bookmark, as she began reading it in silence.

James Sirius Potter, not even at Hogwarts yet, was talking up a storm. He had already said goodbye to his parents, his younger brother, Albus, who was nine and his younger sister, Lily, who was six. He was walking with his cousin, Roxanne Weasley, who was his age.

He laughed loudly at a joke, a blonde haired boy said and he looked at each compartment. Though, when he saw the compartment Anastasia was in he stopped. To him it was as if time had stopped and his mind went blank.

James, being the brazen guy he was, opened up the compartment door and shut it, before sitting across the Malfoy girl.

She glanced up from her book and her gaze hardened, obviously not happy that someone had made themselves at home, when there was someone already in there.

James smiled and leaned forward, his cheerful, brown eyes meeting her gray, cold ones. “Mind if I sit here?”

Anastasia scoffed and glared, though James ignored it. “You’ve already made yourself comfortable enough, haven’t you?”

“What’s your name?”

“None of your business”

“I’m James Potter”

“That’s great, now what do you want?”

“I want to get to know you! So.. what’s your name?”

Anastasia’s eye twitched a bit and her hold on the book tightened. “Anastasia Malfoy”

“Malfoy?” He said, his eyes widening slightly. James saw it now. The pale skin, gray eyes, white-blonde hair.

“Yes, is there a problem?”

“No… none at all” 

There was a bit of silence, his gaze never leaving her.

“Anastasia, you know, you’re pretty pale”

“I know, me and my father are pale.. And so is my brother”

“Yeah.. but you’re porcelain pale, your father looks sickly pale”

Anastasia blinked once and then twice, as if she was processing what he just said to her. She looked at his face, as if to see if he could find any sign of deceitfulness or tauntingness. There wasn’t any, causing her pale cheeks to redden ever so slightly.

“You’re a fool”

James just laughed it off, as if she just hadn’t insulted him. He could forgive her.

first off all i would like to say that english is not my first language so i apoligize for any mistakes

i started shifting around 2020 after i found out about it on tiktok. i was a typical hogwarts shifter who laid in the starfish position pretty much every day.

now my main dr is a marauders dr without magic and with a little bit of fame and figure skating. which i might go in dept on later

my s/o is and has been remus lupin since 2021 i think.

my most succesfull attempts have been during lucid dreaming. i have not fully shifted yet. idk maybe ive had either a few minishifts or just very weird dreams. in 2020 i wrote my scripts on wattpad with my own experiences as a beginner and even though its really really cringe, if u would like to see it dm me :)

uuh my favorite color is dark red. my nails have constantly been dark red for about 2 years now. i have been playing hockey for about 11 years i think. i like reading even though im in a slump rn. my favorite book is the secret history. my favorite movie is perks of being a wallflower and dead poets society. i want a cat so bad but im afraid that ill be a bad owner plus i have allergies which i dont really care about but yeah. speaking of allergies i have about 12 of them, including one thats lethal. i always have weird obsessions like its annoying to my friends how obsessed i am with things. right now some of these obsessions are marauders ofc, hamilton. jake and johnnie and tara, omg i love dovid bowie, the smiths, i like candles that smell like cotton or linen.
