Bode/Freddy: yay, we are getting out.
Writer 1: fuck. We can't let them out. What can we do?
Writer 2: we can get Bode to test positive for drugs even though he is the one who asked for the drug test and turned in the guy selling the drugs. It totally makes perfect sense that Bode would ask for a drug test even though he would fail. It would go over the Cap's head and it is totally true that Bode would do any of this crap days before his parole hearing. Totally.
Writer 3: we can keep Freddy in the camp by making it take forever to get an innocent man out of jail. We can say that the paper work will take the exact length as his prison sentence. We totally make sure Eve, the fire cracker that she is, doesn't go to the media over this. because surely, the headline: "Black man falsely imprisoned for a crime he did not commit and due to backlog, he won't get released until the end of his sentence" won't cause an uproar. But ssshhhh
Writer 1: perfect. Barely an inconvenience.

and the crazy thing is that in episode 6 when bode and jake had to scale that cliff to save eve and the patient before it was even a decision to be made that bode would go with him jake was already talking like he would. literally what if you were so entrenched in each others lives and had your own language together you could never forget the instinct to pull towards each other. lol.
#jake started forming that plan and manny was like hey if you need me lowering you down you can’t go alone!#and jake was like i know i can’t go alone if obviously have a partner 🙄#and manny was like buddy look around who tf is here other than my INMATE FIREFIGHTERS WHO ARENT TRAINED FOR THIS#and jake just looked to bode…. el oh el!!!!!!!!!!! i don’t even care.#i’m literally going to sleep. taking a major hit of this pillow and blankie. hitting the z’s. goodbye!!!!!

Historic wildfires blaze through LA months after the Democratically-run city cut fire service funds.
News headlines rhetorically ask us to consider what happens when CA inmates - working as firefighters for roughly $6 per day - cannot contain unprecedented fires.
Billionaires drain the already water-starved state of its supply as hydrants dry up when needed most.
This system has to go.

Another thing bumming me about this election was California had it on the ballot to consider forced prison labor as slavery and that didn’t go through.
Crazy how much we ‘love our firefighters’ our here until somebody realizes the people who are putting their lives on the line for them are chain gangs.

california (likely) failing to ban slavery is unhinged. pairs really well with the overwhelming 70% in support of increasing sentencing and lowering thresholds on theft+drug related crimes.
#i hope it's not because of the inmate firefighter program. yes yes opportunities whatever. please think about how fucked up it is that#imprisoned people need to fucking put their life on the line to still earn sub-minimum wage#people might have liked the increasing sentencing because it creates a ''treatment-mandated felony'' class#do you know how hard it is to navigate this world with a felony on your record.#all other results aside i do think it's this that really got to me.

Southern California is on fire
In 2024, L.A. Mayor Karen Bass defunded the LA Fire Department by $17.3 million.
The LA Police Department, however, got a $138 million budget increase.
Among the firefighters, 30% of them are inmate firefighters who are risking their lives for $2 an hour. Only for them to not be able to get a job as a firefighter once they're released.
There are now 4 fires burning across Socal. The one getting the most attention is the Palisades fire which has grown to over 11,000 acres. Alongside it is the Altadena fire (over 10,000 acres), Hurst fire (700 acres), and Lidia fire (50 acres).
Due to the unprecedented Santa Ana winds, which have blown to over 100 mph, firefighters have not been able to make a dent on these fires.
A thousand homes have been destroyed. Two people lost their lives from the Altadena fires.
Instead of showing sympathy for the thousands of victims, right wing conspiracy theorists on twitter are blaming the fires on the LA Fire Chief, who is a lesbian, while Trump is blaming CA Governor Gavin Newsom for not removing water from a delta that would have endangered a native species.
Not climate change. Not the Resnicks, a billionaire couple who took control of California's water supply and now use over 150 billion gallons every year for their companies.
If you're in Southern California, please download the Watch Duty app. It brings up to date information on the fires along with evacuation zones. If officials tell you to evacuate, you do it. Make sure you look up shelters and mutual aid organizations in the area where you'll evacuate to. If you have to abandon your car, please move it to the side or leave your keys in the car so firefighters can move it out of the way.
The consequences of this disaster will be catastrophic. It has become increasingly clear that our government officials will not protect us as they would rather fill their own pockets. Stick together. Protect your community as best as you can.
Please keep Southern California in your thoughts. We're going to need them.

Hello, Camden!
*spoilers ahead..kinda..*
It's going to be Camden Casey's character analysis from his three episode arc. This is part 1..
Casey's character is everything that people of Station 42 aren't with his rebellious Dodgers jacket, shorts and flip flops. He gives the vibe of someone looking to stir trouble in Edgewater. When Diego's buddies come for Bode, Jake tries to diffuse the situation but Camden goes on seeking the trouble out as a flying flip flop makes a good aim for that bully's face. What follows next is an action sequence with Camden, now bare feet, fighting of the trouble makers without breaking a sweat (sweet Jaysus that was hot). Oh! And I'm guessing the throw of salt and pepper was tribute to Supernatural!
During the plan rescue scene, we see Camden taking charge of the situation and his cadet, pushing him harder. Bode of course doesn't disappoint. Camden's recklessness and reluctance for following procedure is reinforced leaving Jake troubled by his methods.
Back at station 42, that idiot vaper accidentally sets fire to somebody's suitcase, endangering the fire station. Once again, Camden tries to douse the fire with water but the chemical compounds in it risk further danger. For a minute it seems like Camden acted without a thought but the next minute, he gathers himself and suggests taking the pallet outside and letting it burn.
Though Camden comes across as someone impulsive, what I love is why he is like that. That little emotional backstory for Camden is a wonderful addition to his character. It also goes to show his honesty.
In his brief interaction with Bode, he promises Bode to help him become a good firefighter and that's what I love the most about Casey. Unlike Jake, who is too hard on Bode, restricting him from giving his best, Camden Casey seems to be opposite, willing to let Bode shine.
I disagree with Sharon. I don't think Camden is a sociopath but damn it would be fun to see these two characters share a scene. The job showed him that sometimes trusting your gut over a process can save a lot more lives. Although, i wonder if Camden fighting Diego's buddies is going come bite him in the ass. Last time a firefighter punched someone, albeit a Chief, they landed in three rock. Looking at you, Manny Perez. So I don't know if that's going to go sour for him.
Now that we have talked about the Camden's part in the episode, i just wanna say I'm super thrilled to see what more Camden brings to the story. I want to see him interacting a lot more with Bode and even three rock inmates for that matter. I'm excited to get to know his character deeper, see what makes him tick. His interaction with Gabriela may be an interesting one especially if he feels she is a distraction for Bode. Audrey has Camden's temperament so, that's another duo i'd like to see.
One of the things that I noticed as have others, is that Camden is seen wearing a wedding band. I don't know if that's Jared's real band or not but if it's a character thing, it would be amazing to see if there's another backstory there. Maybe, his wife died with the 10 crew members?? I don't know but it will be nice to explore that!
A three episode arc may not cover all of it, but I hope they give us something to hold onto so that I'd excited for a potential spin off focusing on Camden.
No doubt Jared did a great job with this character, his body language is a lot more arrogant in this which I loooove. I think he opted to give Camden a deeper voice and I'm enjoying that. It's refreshing to see him play a character that's not afraid to stand his ground and let loose the inner rebel.

Personal
I, personally, have been unaffected by the fires in LA. But I work for a very large organization in LA with deep roots there and a big part of the community.
Co-workers are evacuated. Some have lost their homes, and many have friends and family who lost homes. In a large weekly zoom meeting today, leaders who are usually bubbly and optimistic broke down in tears. The head leader of our whole huge unit is evacuated and was clearly struggling to maintain composure. I broke down in tears, too.
I've seen a couple Tumblr posts that go on typical "fuck the rich", "fuck LAFD for using inmate firefighters" and like... this trauma is affecting literally every single person in the LA region. No one in my workplace is really OK right now, including me, even if we haven't been directly affected by the fires. I am part of the community through my employer, we serve the community. I'm not rich, no one I know is rich, and we are all mourning, dealing with threats that each new day brings, reaching out to help where we can.
It's hard to feel sorry for people like Paris Hilton talking about her Malibu house being burned down. I get that. I feel the same. But it is absolutely devastating nonetheless. This is our world, and it's fucking GONE.
The video in this article shows part of the route I drive 2 days a week. It was beautiful and I enjoyed it. (Another part of my route is also gone but not in this video). Just because these are multimillion dollar mansions doesn't mean this isn't a horrible tragedy that's going to have horrible ripple effects throughout the entire region for years to come.

I would like to report Gasoline is being poured all over the gcpd at the moment which is presently empty but they're are several buildings nearby that could be bad if it caught fire!..... the suspect doing it looks like one of the arkham inmates at large at the moment
Please do not interact with the individual. I would advise calling 911 rather than contacting us, but I will be sure to let the GCFD, GCPD, and General Hospital know in advance. I believe they expect my calls now. Thank you.

Could I request a Vince from Fire Country x female reader, where they are in a secret relationship as she is a convict, and is the fire fighter program, obviously Vince and Sharon are divorced, with the prompt 1 and 29? Please and thank you
This is my first Vince Leone fic and I hope I did a good job 🥺 So much love for Vince/Billy, he deserves the best❤️
Warnings: inmate!Reader, forbidden relationship, punch, fire fighting
1. I’m afraid I can no longer remain professional.
29. I wish we could stay like this forever
Stay Like This ~ Vince Leone
Vince Leone’s first thought when he saw you, was how a gorgeous woman like you with an angelic face can be an inmate? If you had been wearing an orange jumpsuit, he’d have thought you were someone working at Three Rock, or perhaps visiting someone. But no, you were indeed in prison and he felt stupid. What demons were behind this angelic facade? What have you done?
The first time you and Vince actually worked together, he was surprised to see how much work you did. You weren’t scared of hard work, understanding the urgency of the situations, how every second counts. As a Department Chief of Cal Fire, Vince Leone has very high expectations when it comes to his firefighters and he simply wished you were one of his. On the other hand, you didn’t really pay attention to the Chief, but rather focused on your tasks, listening to every order Captain Manny Perez was giving you. You couldn’t let the fire win.
The second time was at Three Rock. Vince was visiting his son Bode in the evening and as he was waiting outside, he saw you going from the showers to the female lockup. “Hi sir,” you simply said, walking past him. He only nodded at first, but called out your name a few seconds later, making you spin.
“I just wanted to let you know that you’re doing a great job. Makes me wonder if you had some sort of training?”
You shyly smiled, “No more training than what we learned here.”
“Well, that’s impressive. Keep it that way,”
“I’ll try my best, thank you.”
From that moment, you started to develop a crush on Vince Leone. Maybe it was the way he complimented you, or his smile, or his handsome face, his hair, his mustache. Probably all of the above.
You weren’t sure when things took a turn. Maybe it was when Vince caught you before you fell from a cliff and held your body pretty tight against his, or maybe it was when you stayed by his side as he was stuck under some rubbles after a whole building collapsed. “I can’t, Chief, I can’t,” you cried out of exhaustion, fear and frustration as you tried to move the huge piece of rubbles he was under.
“It’s okay, we’re gonna figure this out, yes?”
“I don’t–I, I’m sorry. What can I do?”
“Not let me die in there?” he chuckled, trying to get you to stop panicking.
“Vince!” you shouted, not laughing and looking around for a solution.
“I’m Vince, now?”
“I’m sorry, Chief, I just–”
“You can call me anything you want. Except in front of the others, of course.”
“Do you really want to talk about that, now?” you exclaimed.
“Well I wouldn’t mind the distraction until the forklift gets me out of here. Please?”
You talked for several minutes about everything and nothing. He told you a bit about Bode, his passion for the job and music. He even mentioned Riley at some point but didn’t dwell on it. Knowing from Bode what happened to Riley, you weren’t surprised. You told him why you were in jail and how long you still had, where you were from originally, your family. You told him you’ve been playing violin since you were a kid, and he immediately said he wanted to hear you play.
“Only if you’ll play guitar and sing for me.” you answered.
“Deal.”
Vince never imagined being in a serious relationship after his divorce. After Riley’s death and Bode’s departure, his marriage imploded and so did his heart. So of course, a relationship was out of the question. He never wanted to fall in love again. But he found himself falling for a younger inmate. “Way to go, Leone.” he mumbled to himself once he came to the realization of his feelings for you.
If you put this on paper, the relationship was meant to fail. Both you and Vince actually thought so without saying it out loud. However, you just couldn’t stay away from each other. Vince would sneak into Three Rock every time he could, even if it was for a quick hello and a kiss. You’d talk almost everyday over the phone, whether you saw each other or not. Most of the time you were in the field, Vince would find a way to steal from Manny’s, so you were under his command, and right next to him.
However, one day you found yourself lost and surrounded by fire with one of Vince’s firefighters. You really thought it was the end for you, that you were going to burn alive. And your only thoughts were for Vince. You were silently begging him to save you, promising him the perfect relationship once you were free. The guy you were with was panicking too, and taking it out on you.
When you heard Vince’s voice and started to feel some water, you fell on your knees, crying like a baby. You didn’t know how long you stayed like this, only that Vince picked you up. You held onto him like never before and he held you tight. “You’re okay, baby. I got you.” Maybe some people overheard and noticed things but it didn’t matter at this very moment.
Shortly after, Manny was holding you as you saw Vince punching the hell out of his firefighter. “How irresponsible are you!” He shouted, “That was not my order! Not only did you put yourself in danger but you put–her in danger too. We will discuss this.”
As much as his anger was justified, the punch wasn’t and Vince found himself in some troubles with his superiors. You felt extremely guilty because you knew you were the reason Vince punched the guy. Overtime, you’ve found ways to meet with the man you love; a small distance away from where you sleep.
You were sitting in the grass when you felt two hands on your shoulders which made you jump. “I'm sorry honey,” Vince said softly, sitting next to you. “You usually hear my footsteps.” he wrapped his arm around your shoulders, his other hand cradling your cheek, and you kissed softly.
“I was deep in thoughts.” You admitted, resting your head on his shoulder.
“Wanna share?” He asked.
“Are you in trouble, V?” You looked at him, worried.
He sighed before answering, “Kinda, but it'll be alright.”
“Are you sure? I mean, I know you punched him because of me and I–”
“You're right. I was freaking out because I thought I was going to lose you, and I should have had a better control of my emotions.” He kissed your forehead. “Don't feel guilty, baby. I'm afraid I can no longer remain professional.” He admitted. “I think it'll be better if from now on, you stick with Manny.”
You nodded to that, but felt extremely sad. It wasn't like you and Vince had a lot of time together, and even though it was work and you were fighting fire, being under his command was when you two were able to be together the most. And this was going away.
“Hey,” he grabbed your chin to make you look at him, knowing what was going through your mind. “You only have 8 months. After that, we'll be able to see each other whenever the hell we want.”
“You deserve better, Vince.” You whispered, tears forming in your eyes.
“Don't ever say that again. I love you, I wanna be with you, no matter what. You brought me back to life.”
Since it was summer, the night weather was actually better than during the day. Vince laid down on the grass, taking you with him. He was holding close to him, while your head rested on his chest. Staring at the sky and stars, you stayed like this for a long moment. “You're the best thing that ever happened to me, Vince Leone. I wanna be a better person for you.”
“You already are, not that you were a bad person in the first place.”
“I wish we could stay like this forever.” You said after a beat.
“Soon my love, we'll have forever.”

I recently finished reading "The Gospel of Truth." It's the official setting collection, but there's no English version. One thing that's clear is that during the early part where Yami plays various games to fight crime, no one lost their life because of playing games with him. I used to discuss this using only the manga's plot as evidence, but the setting collection gives even more direct conclusions. Everyone punished by the Dark Games gave "post-event testimonials," and most said they wouldn't dare to do bad things again.
I want to specifically mention the death row inmate who escaped. In the story, he was burned, but it seems the firefighting equipment at the burger joint was good, and he was rescued, sent to the hospital, and then put back in jail to reflect on his actions.
A blogger I shared before said the shop owner stung by scorpions was sent to the hospital, but it was unclear if he could be saved. Someone wanted to paint Yami as unkind, blaming him for all possible dangers faced by villains. But according to the official setting, this shop owner was also saved.
The only person who truly died in a Dark Game was the museum curator punished by Shadi. Though Yami had the power of the Dark Games, his admirable quality was his control: he didn't tolerate wrongdoing but never excessively punished anyone. Power itself isn't wrong; it's about how it's used. After hearing from Pegasus that the Millennium Puzzle might have evil powers, Yami chose not to use the Dark Games. But the ultimate truth is that the power of the Millennium Puzzle is friendship and unity, aligning with the concept of "puzzle" as a toy. The Millennium Puzzle merely sealed away an evil god and isn't evil itself.

hey someone on Reddit told me about you. Do you have any federal prison uniforms for sale or trade?
also for Franklin county, can you wear your own slides? I have the black and white inmate ones and the inmate pvc slides.
Also i saw you said you had cops and prosecutors come thru? I’m in law enforcement but love prison and prison uniforms
Good Morning!
I think that is a three part question. I will try to answer each of them.
I have a collection of more than 600 prison uniforms, so it is very likely I have a Federal BOP uniform you are trying to find. I am including a couple photos of both two piece and jumpsuit versions. I am always open to trades and sales.
In answer to your question about Franklin County Jail footwear, I am of 2 minds. We have an entire cabinet filled with slides, canvas and leather jail, and prison shoes. Part of me wants to tell you that, as an inmate, you will wear what we f#####g issue you and keep your mouth shut. But, we also want you to have fun; so we would likely let you use your slides!
Finally, yes....... we have locked up judges, cops, paramedics, dispatchers, firefighters, court clerks, criminal defense attorneys, and probation officers. I am about to retire from a career in several of those professions.
