~ "And what the hells do you want?" her words were bitter, the bruise on her face impossible to hide even if she wanted to. "Look... if you are here to be a cute, just don't."
~ The woman was beyond ready to snap. To lay a hand on anything and anything that set her off and burn it to the fucking ground. Of all the things to be caught off guard by she hadn't expected a fucking Troll. Damned thing got her head on with a giant mace. It was a good thing she was damn near unkillable, or else she'd have been food for the creature.
~ "Spit it out. You clearly have something to say. Whatever it is keep at least 10 paces back." the light that made up het being was shimmering dangerously under her skin, a clear sign she was about to go off. "Wouldn't want to burn that precious body of yours."
~ There was clearly more going on than a simple Troll beat down, but she was on a hair trigger as it was. Poor woman was almost looking for a reason to burn.

Shadow is alone in Sonic 3:
an analysis of the tragedy of his character in the movie vs SA2.
spoilers for movie 3 below.
one of the most depressing parts of Shadow in Sonic 3, to me, is that he is completely alone for most of the movie. not in the literal sense, of course, but more in the sense of how everyone around him treats him along with how the world as a whole views him.
this stands in stark contrast to SA2’s telling of his story. in SA2, shadow is still lonely and somewhat isolated, but one person is at least a bit connected with him over the course of the game: rouge.
shadow sees rouge in that dire moment on prison island and thinks of maria, making it clear that he’s beginning to think of the two in connection. when rouge is in danger, he saves her, not wanting to see someone else he knows die like this. in the next cutscene on the ark, a flashback of a conversation between shadow and maria is immediately followed by a conversation between shadow and rouge in the same place, where rouge thanks shadow for saving her, and questions shadow if there were deeper reasons for him saving her than just for the emeralds
throughout the rest of the dark story, shadow and rouge not only work as teammates, but there are repeated parallels and connections drawn between maria and rouge. shadow, in some ways, has begun to view rouge in similar ways to maria, or at least value rouge in some way.
when rouge is found out as a spy, rouge grills shadow for possibly not being the real ultimate lifeform and possibly even his memories being implanted. shadow clearly takes rouge’s words to heart, as his tone of voice when he’s reaffirming that he’s still himself is shaky and not very resolved.
ultimately, shadow forms some kind of attachment to rouge, or at least a basic connection on some level. likewise, rouge also seems to at least appreciate him in some manner. shadow isn’t truly alone in SA2 with rouge around. it’s no replacement for maria, of course, but it’s something.
on the other hand, shadow in the movie doesn’t have a rouge.
in the beginning, he is on the run from GUN. he is frustrated, angry, confused, depressed, scared, and most importantly alone. no one, at least in tokyo, even is allied with shadow in any capacity. gerald isn’t there yet, there’s no rouge, no one, not even eggman, to greet him as an ally or teammate in the beginning. in SA2, shadow at least finds an ally in eggman when he escapes his capsule, but here, he has no one.
he doesn’t even remotely trust sonic and his friends since he, in shadow’s words, jumped out of a GUN helicopter.
he goes to the old GUN base to find any semblance of comfort or familiarity, and it’s seemingly empty upon his arrival. when gerald reveals himself to shadow, shadow immediately confides in the professor about his pain. he’s so desperate to share his grief and cling onto anyone that can sympathize with him, but from the beginning, gerald maintains distance with shadow. gerald convinces shadow that destroying the planet is the way to stop his pain, but he’s never really the teammate or friend shadow needs. he’s no rouge.
his brief interactions with stone in london again show that he’s clinging to anyone that might even be remotely close to him or on his side, but since stone is oblivious to gerald’s true plan and thus shadow maintains distance, shadow never really connects with him super deeply… not to mention how they’re around each other for about like 20 minutes at most before tails literally flushes them out of the sewers, with shadow leaving stone to complete his mission.
shadow does briefly see the connection between sonic and himself when he injures tom, but he doesn’t have or give himself any time to process it.
from there, shadow is only around gerald and eggman, who are in their own brewing conflict. shadow thus is just kinda there, not able to have time alone with gerald, or connect significantly with him. gerald only reaches out to shadow to aggravate him enough to power up the cannon.
and then, when shadow finally begins to connect with someone, that being sonic after their fight, it’s clear that shadow has somewhat resigned himself to the fate of sacrificing himself to save the world. from the beginning of their allyship, it’s clear to me that shadow is more at peace and less conflicted than he even really was in SA2, and i think that’s because he isn’t expecting himself to survive at all. his self-sacrificial mentality hasn’t changed much since the beginning of the movie, its objective has just shifted from vengeance to protection.
thus, even his connection to sonic is kinda hollow in the end, because it’s at a point where it’s too late for shadow to actually take some time to connect with sonic. it’s too late for shadow himself to be saved or even properly grieve, and shadow knows that.
what is consistent to me is the inconsistency of people surrounding him in the movie. shadow doesn’t have that consistent connection he can lean into even a little like he has with rouge in SA2. gerald, the one person in the movie that even somewhat consistently is around shadow, doesn’t treat shadow as an equal, he treats him as a subordinate. rouge treated shadow as a teammate and thus an equal. and in the end of SA2, everyone clearly cared at least a little for shadow, and rouge, amy, and sonic were all able to explicitly demonstrate that to him before he “died”. in the movie, it’s only sonic who is able to do that, and by then shadow’s not had any chance to connect without certain death looming right in front of him. sonic’s chances to deeply connect with shadow earlier in the movie were nonexistent since shadow only saw him for who he had allied with: GUN.
it is a relief that shadow at least found a friend in sonic before he “died,” but again, it’s not the same kind of connection that Rouge had with him in SA2.
shadow in the movie is going through pure grief, raw, without memory manipulation. and for most of it, he’s doing it without anyone that’s really there to comfort or sympathize with him.
that’s really tragic to me. like, the fact that shadow doesn’t even get the chance to properly have even a second to shed a tear for maria like he did in SA2 before resigning himself to death is just… damn.
at least he got a second chance now. it might be a struggle, but hopefully when he has this time in the future to process his grief, he has people to share it with.
i want to give shadow the biggest longest hug ever. he needs one.

do you have a list for your swap au and who everyone’s swapped with (and possibly designs)? I’d like to see them so I could quite possibly fanart them🫶
OH OFC ILL PROVIDE EVERYTHING I HAVE!
Shadow and Sonic are swapped with each other! These are their designs.
Shadow is the protagonist, and he's usually reserved and introverted. He wants to help who he can, which is why he fights against Maria.
Sonic's got DNA from Chaos, so he's got a ton of funky attributes to play around with (he is almost only made of water, he has water manipulation abilities, stuff like his tongue & blood is water (glowy tho!), and he can't get injured in a regular way. You can scroll through my Sonic swap AU tag to see thesecon action!) He's a chaotic neutral who's always looking for an adrenaline rush, he tends to lean towards people who could give him that, or people who he has compassion for (like Maria). He still cannot swim LMAO
Rouge and Tails are swapped! I don't have a design for Tails yet though.
Rouge is Shadow's older sister figure and she's the extroverted one of the two (so their dynamic is more like Rouge is Sonic and Shadow is Tails). I haven't gotten everything down for her just yet, but I want to keep her Jewel enjoyment and sass.
Tails works for GUN before briefly working for Maria. He keeps Sonic in check for a while. He's serious and pretty much the opposite of Sonic. Think kinda like Nine!
Silver and Amy are swapped!
Silver is the annoying but sweet younger friend, kinda clingy but everyone would keep him safe. His weapon is a slingshot and he has incredible aim, if you gave this kid an actually dangerous weapon, that'd be scary. Also he's got a great intuition and ppl swear he's clairvoyant (he's not LOL)
Amy comes from the future and has psychokinesis AND a hammer! She has to use her psychokinesis to actually swing her hammer since it's HEAVY. She tries to find joy in her situation, but she's a bit jaded from her time in the future. (She's more confident and upbeat than canon silver tho)
Maria is swapped with Eggman! But He doesn't have a design yet.
Maria was still raised on the ARK, but she was raised there alongside Ivo. She was fascinated with Project Sonic, and she had therapy in the ARK that helped her with her illness, but after her grandfather was killed and the ARK was shut down, she had to live with her illness afflicting her worse than before.
Ivo (Eggman) is actually more swapped with the GUN commander tbh, was raised alongside Maria, and after the raid on the ARK, he ended up blaming the inhabitants of the ARK (making Sonic and forcing him to be there during the raid) and ended up joining GUN as the lead engineer. Him and Maria get a "cousin rivalry" because of it.
Blazd and Knuckles are swapped with each other! (Not 100% on Blaze's design yet tho)
Blaze is the guardian of the Master Emerald, and she uses her claws to fight. She's very skilled and nimble, so she's a difficult opponent. She's a stoic girl with a heart of gold.
Knuckles is the protector of the Sol Emeralds, and he has fire powers (something something he ate the Sol Dimension Iblis something something ♪ the flames of disaster ♪) he's a proud warrior, the struggles to ask for help, since he's used to being strong enough to do everything alone.
Another swap I haven't drawn yet is Cream and Big.
I also don't have ideas for most other things so feel free to suggest anything 💕

simon can't be with you anymore.
cw gn!reader , angst , hurt / no comfort, simon doesn't know what he's doing.
notes streets said that it's angstmas !! didn't know that it existed until recently. anyways, since i'm having the worst week of my life, i'm gonna ruin it for simon too.
maybe simon was being stupid.
he probably was. not that he could think of any other options besides leaving you.
his work was too dangerous, and the next deployment was probably going to be his last. especially after the recent briefing he went to where the captain spoke about the upcoming mission — a highly risky one. in fact, even the most skilled like ‘ghost’ was bound to either get severely injured or just die. probably the latter. especially since he wouldn’t be with the rest of the taskforce 141 in the fucking warzone.
just a sacrifice for the better of the world, yeah? even though a part of him didn’t want to. fuck the world. you meant so much more to him. but he had chosen this job right. he had agreed to the mission.
and after all, he never considered himself deserving of you, deserving of this relationship he had with you. he knew he was somewhat of a distant boyfriend — barely opening up about his own feelings or past. at least he had shown you his face. you didn’t deserve someone as dangerous as him, someone so… damaged.
he didn’t want to die knowing that you’d be waiting home, all sad and lonely. he didn’t want to leave you like that, but at the same time, he didn’t want to stay and just watch this sweet bubble you two were in shatter. in both ways, he had to leave you. he had to somehow make this less painful, to make it easier for you to move on.
god, he was an asshole. he knew he was. he spent the week just distancing himself from you, responding to your words with nods and grunts while barely reciprocating to your affectionate touches. his heart was breaking more and more everyday, noticing the pained look in your eyes.
he couldn’t keep doing this for much longer. eventually, he had to end this, and he did.
“we can’t be together.”
his words hit you like a brick. literally on a random friday evening. not so random now, it seemed.
“what do you mean, si…?” your voice got quieter with each word, uncertainty towards your own state of mind flooding inside you while a lump formed in your throat, restraining you from properly even speaking out. your eyes stared at him in pure confusion and heart, noticing how he was cladded in his uniform, how he wore that damn skull mask balaclava — building up those walls again that you had managed to break so easily with your love.
simon hated this. he didn’t want to see you so confused and defeated. he had to stop himself mentally from doing something irrational. he was doing this for you, for your own good. though hearing you call him ‘si’ seemed to somewhat crack his composure.
“look, we can’t be together. s’too dangerous. too risky for you. you never know when i might die.” soon, but he held himself from saying that. you didn’t need to know about his deployment, not at all.
“w-why so sudden?” your voice cracked as you tried to properly make sense of his words, emotions taking off your being while you tried to hold in the tears that had begun to sting your eyes.
too dangerous, too risky — maybe somewhere in your heart, you had known that a day like this would come. simon riley was too careful about safety, too dedicated to his work while simultaneously being madly in love. suddenly, all of his sudden distant behavior made sense, and you felt somewhat stupid. stupid for, well, everything.
he was the plague that had infected you, and now he needed to leave so you could heal.
but you never thought of him like that. he was your rock, the anchor that held you from slipping away into loneliness that had always somehow stuck with you throughout your life, a sting that only simon could soothe. it was simon who would craddle you in his arks every night, it was simon who would listen to your rambles. it was simon who your heart was so willing to give love to.
and now he was going to leave.
simon had expected you to scream, to somehow target your anger and frustrations at him. he wanted you to yell at him, he deserved it.
but you didn’t. you sniffled, beads of tears beginning to roll down your cheeks as you took a wobbly step back, too exhausted to fight back or anything.
you didn’t blame simon. how could you? even now, you couldn’t find a flaw in him. too in love? maybe.
as silence filled the living room of the apartment you used to share with him, he slowly picked up his duffel bag and sighed, trying to keep his brown eyes cold and unfeeling, to make it look like he didn’t feel remorseful, to hide his heart was threatening to tear out of his own skin.
“i’ll always love you, simon…”
you said after a few seconds, causing his head to turn over to look back at you — your eyes teary and puffy while your cheeks were streaked with tears, his hands aching to wipe them away. your voice was weak, reluctantly defeated. you know that there was no point in stopping him.
i’ll always love you too, he mentally thought, though never said.
"one final kiss...?" simon froze at your request, knowing that if he were to look at your face any longer, he'd actually stay. he sighed and pressed a soft kiss on your forehead before pulling away, brown eyes hardening up.
he gave you a final nod and exited the apartment from the front door, leaving you alone all over again, your heart torn in pieces as you fell down on your knees, shattering into pieces that no one was going to bother picking up now. only simon could, but he was gone.
simon riley had died three months after that, and you never found out. for you, ge had just disappeared, leaving no traces behind.
just a memory that you were afraid you’d forget eventually, forget his touch and his voice, forget his face — just a memory that was going to bury itself no matter how hard you may try.
#i don't know what i am doing#literally writing everything EXCEPT the simon oneshot i am actually supposed to be writing#evilly ruins simon's life.#teared up while writing this#WHO GETS THE REFERENCE HERE !!#ghost x reader#simon riley x reader#simon ghost riley x reader#simon riley#simon ghost riley#cod x reader#call of duty#rurufic

AU Sonic Smackdown- Round 3, Right Side

Gaia Born AU belongs to @juliemultiverse (art by @thefantasylife)
Words Hurt AU belongs to @oddogoblino
Learn more about them under the cut!
Gaia Born AU-
Sonic is like a big gold retriever. He’s happy to make friends where ever he goes. He was made on the ARK but was immaturely taken out of his incubation tank as an infant. He was raised by his brother tails on bygone island before they moved 5 years later.
His abilities include, Shadow Melding, Super strength, elastic arms and has the ability to sense others emotions.
Words Hurt AU-
In this au, Earth is decaying, the planet slowly losing its ability to sustain life due to mankind’s lack of care to it. To try and survive, they attempted to move people to planet mobius as it held similar conditions as earth. The mobians at first welcomed them happily, happy to help those in need. Eventually, the humans began trying to repeat their old mistakes and began digging into mobius and setting up machines to harvest from it to try and save Earth. The planet didn’t handle this as well as earth once did, machines quickly backfiring and any mobians nearby during the incidents quickly falling ill. That’s how the infections started.
Sonic’s parents were one of the few first mobians infected, having lost them due to them going into the second form of the illness that’s caused from starvation. They’d been “quarantined” and left without food or an energy source for too long. He was only a toddler when this happened. He’s now part of Vanilla’s secret organization that helps infected mobians survive outside of the homes they’d been kicked out of due to fear. Sonic himself works as a secret delivery boy and tends to travel to make sure infected mobians have access to food and water and even just simple pleasantries like games and toys. He met Tails as a 4 yr old who’d been born from infected parents, taking care of him when they weren’t. Currently Sonic is 17 and Tails is 8.
Sonic is mostly his same ole usual self except he’s a lot less social. He doesn’t talk to anyone except for Tails, Vanilla, and sometimes Cream. He was naturally born with his super speed but keeps it hidden due to not wanting to be mistaken as an infected. He still has to fight Eggman as the mad doctor tries to manipulate both uninfected and infected mobians’ fears and resentment toward each other. He has a civilian disguise named Nicky so no one recognizes him as the superspeedy hero. He’s a bit more easily agitated but only because he doesn’t get enough sleep with his work.
Sonic’s right eye is always tearing up, not because he’s emotional but because of repeated exposure to infectious spores. The spores can only infect others if inhaled or through exposed open wounds. Hes naturally immune to the illness, but he doesn’t know that, and wouldn’t ever take chances on it. Whenever he gets injured, he disinfects the wound immediately and patches it up like others would in hopes to avoid spore-infection.
Infected mobians tend to live in abandoned spaces that their cities and towns assigned for them to live. Infected mobians feed off energy, whether that be electricity, emotions, powerful items, etc, but can also eat normal foods just fine. They need normal food to keep sane and prevent them from going into the second form that attacks anything with energy in it. Only the second form can infect others directly, making it the most dangerous and is an automatic kill-on-sight if seen. No one knows yet if you can change infected back to normal after they’ve transformed. Vanilla takes care of transformed infected when Sonic reports the incidents.
Mobians aren’t the only things infected, plant and wildlife have been mutated by the illness aswell. The symptoms of the infection is body mutations, a blue tongue, and increased hunger and thirst. Mobians born from infected parents can’t go into the second form but they become feral without food. Bites from hostile born-infected mobians are less likely to spread the infection but it isn’t impossible.

--
“Hey, is Kane in there?” You ask Bellamy, motioning to the room at the end of the hall that he’s coming from. “I’ve been looking for him everywhere.”
“Yeah, he’s in there with Abby.” He nods, pace slowing. “Hey, a few of us are going into Sector Seven, do you want to come with?”
Your face twists, “No, I’ve got other plans. Who’re you going with?”
“Octavia, Raven, Monty, Jasper, and Miller.”
“You’ve got a full crew.” You wave your hand. “It’ll be crowded if I go. You guys be safe, though.”
“We’ll try. What are your plans?”
“Sneaking out.” You grin. “I’ll catch you later.”
You turn away, walking down the rest of the hallway. When you glance over your shoulder, you find that Bellamy is gone, moving much faster than you. You stop outside of the room, raising your fist to knock on the door to announce your presence, and then Abby speaks.
“I was dreaming we were on the Ark.” Abby pauses. “Before we sent the kids down.” She must get up, there’s a sound of feet shuffling against the floor. She sighs, “Maybe she’s in Sector Seven.”
You close your eyes, picturing the map that was drawn out to mark the territories of the different Grounders. A large portion of it belongs to Azgeda, with Sector Seven being on the bottom right, where Trikru is. It’s not entirely dangerous, but with how close it rides next to Azgeda, it’s not a place you want to be.
“We could send out another search party.” Kane suggests.
“They wouldn’t find her, not unless she’s ready to be found.” Abby says. “(Y/n)’s been trying for weeks, she’s made no progress.”
A man clearing his voice makes you jump out of your skin, head whipping to see where it’s coming from. Sergeant Miller is coming down the hallway, lips pressed together, head tilted disapprovingly.
“What are you doing?”
“I was going to talk to Kane and Abby but I just answered my own question.” You tell him, which isn’t a complete lie.
You were seeking them out to talk about Clarke, and they managed to answer your question without ever knowing it existed. You wanted to know if they were ready to send you—or anyone else—out again. The answer seems to be no. That doesn’t matter to you, you were planning on leaving either way. You just needed to figure out if you had to sneak through the fence or walk out the front gate.
With that, you flash Sergeant Miller a smile, walking away before he can respond. You navigate your way out of the building and out into the open. Arkadia is crawling with people, especially guards. They don’t seem to be on edge today, which might help you later when you come in through the front.
You walk to your tent, which is tucked snugly off to the side, right next to the fence for easy departure. You were told by Abby that you should be staying inside of the building, sharing a room with someone, whatever. You’re no stranger to a tent, when you landed on the ground, you opted for one, for the sole reason of the fact that you don’t want to share a room.
Besides, there won’t be anyone to tell on you.
You flip the flaps open, ducking in as you enter. It’s a fairly small space, holding the essentials. There’s a cot that takes up half of the room, with a pillow, a sleeping bag, and a blanket neatly folded on top. The other side has a table that you may or may not have stolen, a chair, and a lamp. That’s where your backpack sits.
It’s already packed with the necessities, all you have to do is throw it over your shoulder and pull out the knife stuck in the table’s wood. You leave the tent, no one bats an eye in your direction, making for a quicker escape. You pass your backpack through the fence, and then carefully move through it, yourself.
It’s usually electrified, but recently they’ve been knocking it back to preserve the energy.
You take your sweet time escaping Arkadia, not caring whether or not someone sees you, because they know better than to send someone after you. They tried that once before, you managed to lose them in the forest in less than fifteen minutes. By the time you were done and coming back, you retrieved them and brought them home.
It was funny. Well, it was funny to you. Abby and Kane weren’t very happy. You got a lecture and then made a false promise that you wouldn’t do it again. And you haven’t had to, because now people know not to follow you outside of the fence.
The moment you’re hidden in the treeline, you relax some. You set your bag onto a rock, digging through it to pull out your knife. You tuck it into your belt to keep it in range to grab. After you zip your bag up, you start in the direction where you believe you’ve caught Clarke’s tracks the most.
She’s clever, and she’s usually very clean with her area, but sometimes the dirt is squishy enough to be considered mud, and you’ll find a boot print. She’ll leave scraps of food, twine, and broken objects behind. She makes an effort to hide them in the bushes and ferns, yet you’re still able to find it.
It might have something to do with the fact that you’re actively seeking it out, therefore making it easier to find. Of course, it could belong to anybody, but there aren’t really nomads around here. There’s the Grounders, who each have their colony to stay in, and then there’s the people of the sky—your people. And you all stay inside your camp and walls.
You know you’re coming close to Clarke, there’s been a few times where you could’ve sworn you were on top of her. She moves too fast, making it difficult for you to actually nail her down. Clarke doesn’t want to be found. As much as you respect that, it would be safer if she stayed in Arkadia, or with the Commander. Being out by herself is a recipe for disaster, especially since she’s not exactly loved by everybody.
There’s a lot of controversy surrounding Bellamy and Clarke. When they pulled the lever, they killed hundreds of people inside of Mount Weather, but ended up saving just as many by ending it there. However, Jasper’s girlfriend was included in the mix, since she couldn’t bear the radiation.
This would make him crucify Clarke. Bellamy didn’t get the same treatment. If he had, then Jasper wouldn’t be agreeing to go with Bellamy to Sector Seven. Then again, at this point in time, Jasper doesn’t care much about anything. He spends most of his time drunk, with Monty taking care of him. You’d bet your favorite hair tie that he was intoxicated this afternoon.
And also, Clarke and Bellamy have handled their guilt differently. Clarke ran, she couldn’t stand to see the faces of those she loved. She didn’t like being called a hero, when she had to kill so many people. She wanted to solve it in a better way. Bellamy stayed, obviously. He’s straightened out, as far as you can tell, just a little rough when it comes to the topic.
You try not to talk about it to anyone who isn’t willing to. You avoid it, pretending like it didn’t happen, even though you were one of the many teenagers that had been ‘saved’. One of your biggest regrets is not listening to Clarke when she told you that you needed to get out with her.
If you had, you wouldn’t have been tortured by Cage.
You’re still having nightmares about being strapped down on the table, being stood over by them, a needle in one hand, a saw in the other. The thought, even now, makes goosebumps rise over your arms. You watched the procedure happen to three people before it was your turn.
After walking for a couple hours, you decide you can break into your water. You swing the bag off one shoulder, halfway pulling it in front of you. You unzip the largest pocket, shaking the water out of the bag to keep any miscellaneous from falling out while you do so. When you’re done, you close the top halfway, before uncapping the lid.
You press the cool metal to your lips, tilting your head back as you take another step.
A loud snap fills the quiet air, followed by a blinding pain hitting just above your ankle, pulling you down to the Earth. A scream leaves your lips as you fall to your knees. The water canister is gone, thrown several feet away from you. You watch through tear-filled eyes as the water gushes out, soaking the soil and dry pine needles.
“Fuck!” You scream through gritted teeth. “Oh, fuck!”
A wave of nausea hits you before you look at what has your foot trapped. You twist, turning to sit on your butt, allowing you to see the bear trap. Its teeth have sunken into your skin, stinting the blood flow a little. It pools in the puncture wounds, carefully drawing lines down your skin.
This is when your hands begin to shake. Uncontrollably. You reach for your bag, being careful not to jostle your leg. You rip the zippers open, digging through what’s inside, and quickly come to the realization that you didn’t bring a walkie. A habit that you started because of the Azgeda troops that patrol around this area, and their disregard for the truce.
“Oh.” You breathe. You reach for the trap, but you stop when knives begin to get stabbed in your calf, moving up to your knee. “No, no, no.”
You dip your head, clenching your jaw as you wrap your fingers around the teeth. You count down from three in your head, and on one, you try to pry the teeth open. Except, they don’t budge, all they do is move inside your skin, and send streaks of white across your vision.
The lightheadedness is no joke.
One second you’re upright, the next you’re laying on the ground, grass blades tickling your face. You blink, trying to come back to life, but your eyes roll to the back of your head, taking you out.
The feeling of needles in your muscles jolts you up, actually awake this time. There’s a girl leaning over your ankle, her long red hair slightly matted on her shoulders. She lets out a sigh, shakes her head, and reaches for your bag.
“Hey.” Your face twists. “Get out of that.”
She stops, fingers pausing over the pocket where you keep the emergency medical supplies. How does she know where to look? She slowly turns her head, familiar blue eyes landing on you, eyebrows raising. There’s a long moment that passes between you two, as you decide whether or not you’re hallucinating.
“Clarke?” You sputter. “What are you doing out here? Why’s your hair red?”
“Hunting.” She tells you gruffly, turning her back to you once more. “This is going to hurt.”
She doesn’t leave you any time to comprehend, much less prepare, for her popping the bear trap open. The pressure relief is immediate, but so is the aching pain that hits you like a truck. You groan, holding your breath, watching your vision coat with stars.
Clarke goes back to your bag, rummaging through to pull out what you have.
“Where have you been?” You ask. “I’ve been looking everywhere.”
“I know.” She says, voice hard. “You shouldn’t be.”
“Why not?” You shake your head. “I care about you and your wellbeing. I want to make sure that you’re safe.”
“I am.” She tells you.
She pours a small handful of alcohol onto a clean rag. When you suck in a breath to ask her another question, her hand ‘slips’, dumping it into your open wounds. You choke, reaching to grab onto anything to hold yourself steady, but you just pull out a handful of grass, instead.
“You can hold my hand.” Clarke says, a look of remorse on her face. She holds out her palm, and you find it surprisingly clean.
The same can’t be said for her face. She’s got black coal smeared into symbols on her face, which you can’t identify. From a distance, you’d say that she’s dirty and hasn’t bathed herself. There is no smell to accommodate that assumption.
You take her hand, squeezing her fingers. She takes her time dabbing around the several wounds. You watch as the blood doesn’t stop, the way your skin moves, allowing you to see inside of your body. Every time she presses too hard, the alcohol will find its way inside of one of the bite marks.
Before you know it, you’re breathing heavily, picturing the damage this is going to do to your leg. The way you’ll have to clean it, a task you’re not up to doing. You passed out due to pain, this won’t be any different.
“(Y/n), breathe.” Clarke pauses, face twisted. “Just look at me. Forget everything else.”
“That’s hard.” You say shakily. “Because you’re cleaning out my leg.”
“I know.” She looks off to the side. “How about you ask me a few questions?”
“Are you sure?”
“You came all this way.” She murmurs. “Go ahead.”
“Why’s your hair red?” You ask.
She hesitates, “It’s blood, from my hunts. I did it to hide myself.”
“You don’t wash it?”
“I don’t want to risk being caught.” She shrugs. “You can ask me anything, and you decided to start with my hair?”
You laugh, and then wince, “Fine, when are you coming back?”
Clarke doesn’t say anything for a while, and then it extends beyond a minute. You’re afraid that you’ve ruined the conversation, so you keep quiet. She sighs, “I don’t know.”
“Have you been thinking about it, at least?”
“Yes, but it’d be better if I didn’t right now. It’s not safe.”
“Why?” Your face twists.
“Just…” She shakes her head. “Reasons, I can’t explain them to you right now.”
“Clarke, you know you can trust me.” You tell her.
“It’s not the right time.” She says back. “I’m going to bandage this for you. We shouldn’t stay out here for long, it’s going to get dark.”
She leaves no room for argument, taking her time with the sterile white bandages, breaking it off and tucking it into itself. She pulls you up and onto your feet, where you lean against a tree for support. You can’t put any weight down on your ankle without a blistering pain going through your whole leg.
“I won’t be able to make it back on my own.” You tell her.
She zips up your bag, swinging it onto her free shoulder. “I know, I’ll bring you as close to the gate as I can. Can you walk? I’d be happy to carry you.”
“I’ve got it, I just need you for support.”
Clarke closes the gap between you two. You put a hand on her shoulder, gripping it tightly as you take each step. “Thank you, Clarke.”
“It’s no problem, (Y/n).”

Season 3 has officially started! Thank you all for being so patient with me and I hope you enjoy season 3! 🩵
🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
Five Days after Mount Weather
“How is she?”
Abby looked up at Bellamy from where she sat behind the desk, humming softly in response.
“Riheda?”
Bellamy slightly clenched his jaw at the use of your title as he nodded, walking further into Abby’s office.
“Yes.”
“She’s fine, from what I can tell.”
“What you can tell?”
Bellamy made a face as he tilted his head to the side, scoffing slightly.
“What does that even mean? She was injured in Mount Weather."
Abby sighed as she lowered the tablet she was looking at, looking up at Bellamy.
“It means that since she’s woke, she refuses to let anyone touch her. It’s too dangerous to let anyone near her. She’s too dangerous.”
Bellamy shook his head, huffing.
“She’s not an animal. She isn’t dangerous. She's alone and hurt."
“She is. She is a gro-”
Bellamy turned, walking out of Abby’s office before she could continue. He glared as he walked down the halls of the Ark, making his way to medical. He stopped outside of medical, looking in, seeing you laying on one of the medical cots in the far corner of medical, alone. He took a deep breath before he walked towards the door, opening it and walking into medical. He looked up, seeing you already looking at him, watching him as he walked towards you, stopping at the end of the cot.
“Hey.”
You said nothing as you looked at Bellamy, causing him to sigh softly.
“I’m sorry I haven’t been to visit you since… since everything. We’ve been uh, busy.”
Bellamy sighed softly when you said nothing, looking you over when he saw the straps around your wrists, causing him to make a face.
“Why are you tied down?”
You lowered your gaze to your wrists, your voice low as you spoke.
“I’m dangerous.”
Bellamy scoffed, shaking his head.
“No, you’re not.”
He moved to your side, reaching down and undoing the straps around the wrist closest to him before he reached over and undid the other strap.
“Thank you.”
Bellamy nodded as he watched you rub your wrists.
“You’re welcome. How are… how are you feeling?”
“Fine.”
"And your injuries? Do you need anything for them? Medicine or-"
"Fine."
You looked up at Bellamy as you cut him off, slightly tilting your head to the side.
“I want to go home.”
Bellamy sighed softly as you avoided his questions, nodding.
“I know.”
“Then can I? Go home?”
Bellamy made a face, looking down at you.
“It uh- that’s not something- it’s not up to me. But I- I’ll ask, okay? I’ll ask.”
Bellamy turned, walking towards the door when you called out to him, causing him to turn, looking back at you.
“My sister and my people may believe that I am dead, Bellamy, but I’m not dead. I will not be kept here against my will.”
🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
Two Weeks after Mount Weather
You were walking next to Bellamy as was the norm now as he would come by everyday and walk with you around medical, as redundant as it was. He said it would help with your injuries, but you disagreed, telling him he was wasting his time.
“You know, when I said I wanted to go home, I meant it.”
Bellamy nodded as he cut a glance down at you.
“I know.”
“So then why am I still here?”
“It’s uh… it’s complicated.”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes.
“It’s always complicated. You give the same answer every time I ask.”
“Because it’s the only answer I have.”
You came to a stop, causing Bellamy to make a face as he stopped, turning back and looking down at you.
“What are you-”
“I helped you and your people.”
You shook your head, clenching your jaw as you looked up at Bellamy, glaring slightly.
“I risked my life for your people and you repay me by keeping me captive.”
“It-”
You took a step closer to Bellamy, looking up at him, anger in your eyes.
“Your people look at me like I’m a monster.”
Bellamy shook his head, trying to come up with the right words as he stumbled over his words.
“They don’t- that’s not-”
“They do! You are the only one who doesn’t look at me with fear. You are the only one who treats me like I am a person and not a feral animal.”
You shook your head, turning on your heel and walking back towards your cot, laying down, turning your head to the side, looking away from Bellamy as you spoke.
“You should leave.”
🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
Four Weeks after Mount Weather
You were laying in the cot in medical when you heard the door swoosh open, followed by footsteps. You turned your head, seeing Bellamy walking towards you, a small smile on his face.
“Come on.”
You made a face, looking up at him.
“What?”
“Come with me.”
“Bellamy I can’t-”
“I talked it over with the others. You don’t have to stay here, in medical. So, come with me.”
Bellamy held his hand out towards you, a small smile on his face.
“Don’t you want to get out of here?”
You looked down at his hand and back up at his face a few times, unsure of his intentions before you nodded slightly. Bellamy’s smile grew, though it fell slightly when you ignored his outstretched hand and stood from the cot yourself. You looked up at Bellamy, slightly tilting your head to the side.
“Where are we going?”
He lowered his hand, trying to ignore the strange feeling he felt as he looked down at you.
“Well, are you hungry? We can go to the cafeteria and get some food and we can eat it outside, if you’d like.”
You nodded slightly.
“Okay.”
Bellamy nodded, and he motioned for you to follow him. Walking out of medical, you couldn’t help but look around, taking in more of the place Skaikru called home. Last time you were here, you couldn’t really take the time to look, but now you had the time to take it all in.
“Does everything look like this?”
Bellamy looked down at you, confused as he watched you look around.
“Like what?”
You tilted your head to the side, trying to find the right words before you settled on the one that described how you’d felt since you had woken up in medical.
“Cold.”
Bellamy smirked slightly as you both turned out of the hall that led to medical.
“You get used to it.”
You scoffed, shaking your head.
“I don’t want to get used to it. I want to go home.”
Bellamy nodded slightly.
“I know.”
You turned your head, looking up at him.
“Then let me leave. Please, I need to go home. I need to be with Lexa and Reina, with my people. Please Bellamy, teik ai gon we.” (let me leave)
Bellamy looked down at the hand you placed in his arm, slightly shaking his head.
“I’m sorry. It’s not my decision.”
He nodded towards the door.
“Come on, the cafeteria is this way.”
You followed Bellamy, looking down at the floor. Once inside you lifted your head, tensing. Everyone that was in the room was staring at you, a mixture of emotions on their face as some whispered. You jumped when a hand was placed on your lower back, looking up and seeing Bellamy standing closer to you, nodding.
“Come on.”
Bellamy kept his hand on your lower back as he led you forward, walking closer to you than before.
“They- they’re all staring at me.”
Bellamy nodded slightly.
“You’re a grounder, the grounder. A lot of them have mixed feelings about you and your people.”
You huffed, rolling your eyes.
“I have mixed feelings about them but you don’t see me glaring and talking about them.”
Bellamy chuckled, nodding.
“I know. Just don’t pay them any attention. They’ll get over themselves.”
After getting some food, Bellamy led you outside, taking you to a shaded area so you both could eat. You looked around the camp before you glanced at Bellamy.
“Can I ask you something?”
Bellamy nodded, looking over at you.
“Course. You can ask me anything, within reason of course."
“My knife and my sword. Where are they?”
“Uh, they’re put up, safe.”
You tilted your head to the side, giving Bellamy a deadpanned look.
“Safe.”
Bellamy nodded, grabbing his cup.
“Yeah. I’m sorry. I know that they’re important to you. But they don’t want to give them back to you until they know that you won’t use them against anyone here.”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes.
“Yes, because I’m such a danger after I risked my life for your people.”
Bellamy smirked, nodding.
“Yeah, you’re a total danger magnet.”
🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
Six Weeks after Mount Weather
“Where are we going?”
Bellamy grinned slightly.
“I told you, you’ll find out when we get there.”
You huffed, rolling your eyes.
“I hate surprises.”
“That’s okay. This isn’t a surprise, it’s more-”
Bellamy paused, tilting his head to the side, grinning.
“Of a new adventure.”
You shot Bellamy a deadpanned look, shaking your head.
“It’s a surprise. No matter how you word it."
Bellamy laughed as he came to a stop in front of a door, nodding.
“Come on, you’ll like this one, I swear.”
He opened the door, motioning for you to enter. You sighed softly as you walked past Bellamy and into the room, looking around.
“Is this-”
You tilted your head to the side looking back at Bellamy as he walked in, closing the door.
“Is this your room?”
Bellamy nodded.
“Yeah, it is. Now sit down.”
You made a face, tilting your head to the side as you looked around for somewhere to sit.
“Where-”
“On the bed.”
Bellamy lightly pushed you forward towards his bed, causing you to huff as you walked towards his bed, sitting on the edge of the bed, tense. You watched Bellamy walk through another door before he came back, carrying something in his hands before he walked towards you, handing it to you.
“What is it?”
“Take it and find out.”
You rolled your eyes slightly, taking it from Bellamy, placing it in your lap as you undid the knot, pulling the fabric to the side, gasping softly.
“My knife and sword.”
You pulled your knife out of the scabbard, running your fingers over the intricate design on the handle.
“You had them this entire time?”
Bellamy hummed softly.
“You gave them to Clarke in Mount Weather before you turned yourself over and she gave them to me before she left. Abby wanted to take them, but I hid them before she could.”
“But you said they didn’t trust me. So it was really you who didn’t trust me?”
Bellamy shook his head, moving to kneel down in front of you, looking up at you.
“I trust you. It wasn’t my trust that you needed to earn. You already had it.”
“Oh.”
Bellamy smirked softly, nodding.
“Yeah ‘oh’. And besides, I wanted to give them back to you when you were ready.”
You made a face, finally lifting your gaze, looking at Bellamy.
“When I was ready? I’ve been ready. I’ve been bugging you about them for weeks now.”
“Mhmm, I know. But I meant what I said. I wanted to give them back when you were ready. I know how important they are to you.”
You nodded slightly.
“I really only care about the knife.”
You looked back down at the knife, carefully sliding it back into the scabbard.
“It was… it was Sato’s.”
Bellamy tilted his head to the side.
“Sato?”
You nodded, humming softly.
“Sato was… he was my…”
Trying to come up with the right words, you settled for the only thing that could describe him.
“He was mine.”
You glanced at Bellamy.
“He was in Tondc when Finn massacred the village.”
“I’m sorry.”
You clenched your jaw slightly, shaking your head.
“I do not need your apologies, Bellamy Blake.”
Bellamy’s eyes widened slightly at the full use of his name, nodding.
“Okay. There’s something else.”
“Something else?”
You tilted your head to the side, looking at him as he nodded.
“They’ve agreed to let you leave, to let you go home. They’ve agreed to take you back, not all the way, but they’re letting you leave.”
“Truly?”
Bellamy smiled softly, nodding.
“I wouldn’t lie to you. I would never lie to you.”
🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
Eight Weeks after Mount Weather
The plan was to leave for Tondc, but before you and the others could leave, the sound of horns sounded, and one of the guards at the gate said that a group of grounders had made camp outside the walls. You had perked up, rushing out of the Ark, seeing two riders approach the gate. The Skaikru guards opened the gate as Bellamy and the others appeared behind you, the two riders looking down, their eyes widening when they saw you. They quickly dismounted their horses, kneeling, placing a balled fist over their chest as they lowered their heads.
“Riheda.”
“Chomouda are yu hir?” (why are you here?)
“The commander wishes to meet with the leader of Skaikru.”
Your eyes widened when Indra spoke, not seeing her since your attention was on the riders. She stepped forward when you did, meeting you halfway as you hugged her, Indra speaking low enough for just you to hear.
“Em ste os sin yu in nodotaim.” (it is good to see you again)
“Yu seintaim.” (you too)
“Indra.”
You let Indra go, stepping to the side and turning, watching as Kane stepped forward.
“Why does the commander want to meet?”
Indra didn’t take her eyes off of you as she answered Kane.
“Peace. She is proposing peace.”
🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
Twenty minutes later, you were walking out of Arkadia’s gates for the first time since you were brought here two months ago.
“Are you nervous?”
You glanced up at Bellamy, slightly making a face.
“Nervous? Why would I be nervous?”
Bellamy smiled slightly.
“Because you haven’t seen your sister in two months.”
You shook your head slightly.
“I am not nervous. I am excited.”
Bellamy nodded, looking down at you.
“I’m sure you are.”
You and Bellamy followed behind Abby and Kane, Indra and the riders leading the way to the tent. Your group came to a stop, things being said that you paid no attention to, practically bouncing in place as you tried to look around the others, trying to spot your sister. You looked up at Bellamy when he nudged you, seeing him nodding ahead, causing you to turn, looking at what he was nodding to, your eyes widening as you gasped softly.
“Lexa.”
Without waiting, you moved forward, running past the others. You wrapped your arms around Lexa once you were close enough, hugging her tightly. Lexa's eyes widened as you hugged her, her own arms wrapping around you once it registered that you were actually standing in front of her, hugging her. You were real.
“Yu ste hir.” (you’re here)
You smiled, laughing softly as you nodded, Lexa turning her head into your shoulder.
“Ai don fis op yu a swega klin.” (I made you a promise)
“En yu otaim kep in yu swega klin.” (and you always keep your promise)
“Otaim.” (always)
You leaned back slightly, pressing your forehead against hers.
“Otaim strik sis.” (always little sister)
“Ai don mema yu we.” (I’ve missed you)
You smiled softly, leaning down and hugging Lexa again.
“Nou kom we tona kom we ai don don mema yu.” (not as much as I’ve missed you)
“I am sorry to interrupt.”
You let Lexa go as you turned, both of you looking at Abby.
“But we were told that you wanted to talk peace.”
You clenched your jaw as you glared at Abby. Ever since you had woken up in medical, Abby had been nothing but a thorn in your side. She was the one who had restrained you and kept you confined to medical, and she was the one who refused to let you leave.
“Can’t you see-”
Lexa grabbed your hand, squeezing once, her gaze never leaving Abby as she spoke.
“I do. The war with the mountain men is over. And I do not want another war, with Skaikru.”
“We don’t want that either, Heda.”
Lexa smiled slightly at Kane, nodding slightly.
“Then we have much to discuss.”
Lexa turned, walking towards the tent, pulling you along with her. Once in the tent, Lexa walked towards the throne, sitting down. You sat down next to her on the steps in your usual spot, leaning back against the side of the throne legs as Indra led the others inside. This is where you belonged, with your sister, in the open, not in the cold confines of Skaikru's metal.

Not sure if you still want headcanons or ideas for OpBee (and sorry about your father) but here are some stuff I guess?:
Let's assume those are like mix of continuities
•Since Bee is in special forces and well a spy I feel like he would be very good at hiding his emotions, at least more better then what people give him credit for. OP is also very good at it but he also has his tells that Bee probably noticed over the centuries. Probably like his movement of his OP dials or mini expressions around his eyes like when they widen in surprise or crease in amusement or worry.
• I feel like Bee would rather scrub the whole ark with human toothbrush rather then confess, like at all. He is good bad at hiding his emotions about Optimus and he feels comfortable he yearns to be in this limbo of not knowing. He tends to fall fast and usually it ends up in heartbreak or painful rejection and hey we speaking of Optimus prime here.
•Optimus would fall slower but harder. He is used to not showing his true feelings so maybe he mistakes the slowly growing romantic affection for something else? Depends if we wanna ANGSTY route or fun route so inma go for ambiguous one.
•The first time Bee gets injured (like extended med stay injured) under Optimus command, he thinks he made a mistake allowing Bee out in the battle BC (insert angsty reason) untill he finds out the only reason bee was injured was because his cover was blown as he rescued a comrade from certain doom.
•From that a lot of feelings started to grow, constant worry over Bee health in particular which makes Optimus feel guilty BC he has a whole army to think about, not just Bee. But there is also pride whenever Bee manages to accomplish something great like obtaining crucial information or managing to twart decepticon plans. There is also frustration whenever Bee gets Infront of unnecessary danger like taking a shot for him that he could have easily take on.
•Different love languages!!! I feel like whilst Optimus love language would be acts of service Bee would be verbal. Optimus can't just act like he blatantly favorites Bee so he finds different ways to show his love like spending his short free time with bee or even doing paperwork in the same room. Leaving small gifts that Bee offhandedly mentioned or doing what he can to make Bee happy.
Bee on the other hand would find words be just a tad more meaningful. For me it's like, he is a spy he needs to be showed he is loved through action but he feels that if he tried reciprocate it would came as less genuine. So he speaks and speaks and finds words to say Optimus about what he loves how he loves. He lets himself be himself in those moments.
If he looses his voice around this time it would be even more devastating as he lost his main way to show love. Sure he can give gifts and show his love in different ways but his main way was taken away from him. He still grieves it.
•They probably share quality time as shared loved language.
I'm not sure about character limit in asks so inma end it here and hope those helps in any way!!! I'm more then happy to send some more :D
sorry for spelling mistakes I tried to catch them but screen be blurry dbdhdh
-@);-- R anon
thank you so much!! its good to keep my mind off my family situation right now. and i loooove all these headcanons.
i love bee and optimus slowly learning to read each other better than most of their peers... slowly picking up on each others feelings.
i also think bee could really easily view himself as "not worthy" because, i mean, its a prime. he might view his crush on op as something that would be insulting or even blasphemous if optimus were to find out.
meanwhile, optimus thinks his feelings are wrong because of the power he holds as a prime--he thinks that if he confesses, bee will say yes just to please him. so he keeps those feelings very close to his spark. he also probably worries about responsibility and impartiality as a commanding officer. (irl, in the military, your commanding officer often cannot be your partner due to the bias it can cause in decision-making)
such good angst ideas in here, i am eating it up.

Finally got to read all the chapters of the Ghe fic (Heaven says (you’re in danger)) after much procrastination, despite how excited I was after reading the first chapter that was published. I LOVED it! just was a bit anxious of reading the next chapters of what would’ve happened next (coupled with me being busy with some wedding stuff).
Anyways, now that I’m caught up I can finally say my thoughts and I’m gonna go in detail. So Brace yourself this might be long and I’d probably ramble and repeat a lot, but you asked for it.
I have to say I just LOVE how you incorporated the actual lore of Ghe with your own ideas and hc’s without losing the plot, everything was just so well explained and written! Let me tell that I’m a Earth centric/angst lover, so I’d usually only read those kind of fics. I’ve only ever read all your your Earth centric/angst or stories (except for the paranoia au (Luna pov) and moon switch (Uranus pov),not that I’m against your other fics just not my cup of tea (As you can tell Earth’s my fave). This fic isn’t an Earth centric fic but it might just be my top 1 fic written by you so far, with hush being close 2nd. I loved the way you included all the characters in this fic and gave them a role, and that we actually got to see the effect of the Iris on the whole solar system. How the Iris was introduced, the multiple pov’s, The Iris’s moons and their appearance! The way you balanced the role of all the characters together was immaculate, it just felt so natural, realistic. (Excited noise’s)
The ability of Iris to regenerate is genius, which would make sense why his as strong as to take down whole star systems. His black blood being deadly or at least really harmful to celestial bodies. His his third eye, the claws and they way you described his ability to mind control and take over their bodies gorgeous.
Love The Iris as a character, such well written villain. Hate him as planet, but love him as a villain. I’ve noticed his the only mentioned as ‘The Iris’ with word starting before his name, and it just sounds so much more sinister and Menacing that way.
The Earthling pov’s are just the best feels like I’m watching a horror, thriller, suspense movie. It’s hard to find a story which is this good. Honestly your description ability are magnificent, you’re not explaining too little to understand, nor are they too excessive, just the right amount. The camera zooms and movements in general in the 2nd chapter and the glitches that appears whenever they mention something important to keep the suspense and anticipation is brilliant. (Applaud)
Dr. Arke, I’m guessing she is a part of Iris’s mutated creations, or maybe she’s a piece of him in earthling form. I’d like to know more about her and what she left exactly in that meeting room, what type of mutated being- was it natures mockery, woodcrawl…?
I was curious about how the sun was asleep, but got that answered with the supernova gem. Though I wanna know can The Iris use any supernova gem to make a star sleep or does every star have their own gem that can be used against them? And how exactly did the Iris get it?
Man poor Neptune, but I’m glad his moons are ok or at least alive despite some being badly injured and others being traumatised. At least he tried protecting them along side Titania.
I wonder what’s causing Saturn to be so tired. I’m guessing it’s the new moon he got - Chiron’s moon bracelet was tight around his wrist so the mutation might have gone through it? His rings were thinning out too, this might have to do with him being a gateway or whatever, if you’re going with that lore from ghe. Though I’m not sure what him being a gateway means exactly.
The Iris finally got what is meant to be ‘his’. I wonder what he plans to do with Earth and the rest of the solar system?- aside from destroying it and leaving everyone dead (except Earth) once his done with it. Is this gonna be like a platonic obsession or like a one sided attraction. And why is he after Earth, is it because of his life or is that just a factor amongst many others?
Will this story have a bad ending or a good sad ending? Is the Iris gonna get what he wants or will his plans fail? I guess I’ll just have to wait to figure out huh.
I hope you get to answer some of my questions if possible without spoiling too much. Overall I’m rating this fics, and it’s a solid 1000000/10 from meh! Ik you might be disappointed by not getting as much written interaction for your recent chapter, so i hope this compensates for that.
Anyways I’ve made this long enough. Take care, looking forward to the next chapter! <3
Finally getting to this 😭🙏🏼 I woke up at 3am randomly to see this in my inbox and I was so happy it was hard to fall back asleep so I wasn't extremely tired at work LOL
Thank u sm for the praise, I really appreciate it 🥺 Gonna save this ask and reread it so many times I already know :3
Okay, now into the meat of it!! I'm glad u like how I've worked the Iris into it, I wanted him to have these powers that made him such a threat and I'm glad it's working out like that :D I waffle between calling him the Iris and just Iris sm idk if you can tell in the chapters themselves ;-;
Dr. Arke is a sort of piece of the Iris (the way I view it, he can fracture his mind like infinitely many times so that he can more easily take over systems, because otherwise how could he control so many people at once?) sorta like the men in suits in the original GHE (i forget if that's what they are but yeahhh)
We've got one more piece of human lore to cover, and we're returning to Astrowife next chapter (as well as an Astrodude segment!!!); but I gotta be honest y'all the humans are fucked LOL like even in the actual analog horror itself it's kinda like... useless to fight back, the solarballs/ghe universe earthlings are just lucky the planets actually Can fight back LOL
We're not done with Neptune's moons, especially Triton (I luv Triton sm can you tell), they'll be more of them :DDD
can The Iris use any supernova gem to make a star sleep or does every star have their own gem that can be used against them? And how exactly did the Iris get it?
Supernova gems are meant to be used for any star, there's no like... tailoring application. Iris has used the same gem over and over again, which also means that sometimes it glitches ;) The Iris has had it for billions of years, and how he originally got it... well, still figuring that out ;)
I'm somewhat going with the GHE lore for Saturn? I have no idea what the gateway thing could mean either, so it's a little different in my AU. You'll see!
Iris and Earth - one-sided obsession :D LOL THIS JUST RANDOMLY POPPED INTO MY MIND it's like THIS
youtube
and it IS because of his life! you'll see something in the next chapter :D
and on the the ending - just wait and seeeeee <3 :D
sorry, this is so disjointed but thank u sm i literally love u random anon /p

jill has seen a lot in her 24 years of life leading up to the mansion incident; she absolutely saw death in combat firsthand while in the army, and with her employment in the raccoon police department, has been part of countless dangerous operations, from drug raids to murder investigations and everything in-between. she’s seen so much violence and while she’s not desensitized to it, she knows how to not let it inhibit her or interfere with her work.
none of that even remotely holds a candle to the events at the spencer mansion in july 1998.
note: do not read further if mentions of cannibalism, dismemberment, animal death, murder, child death, etc. trigger you in any way.
shortly after S.T.A.R.S. alpha team sets foot into the territory of the arklay mountains where the bravo team has disappeared, joseph frost is mauled by a cerberus pack — doberman pinschers specifically engineered with a beta strain of the t-virus, crafted by umbrella. the sight of this leaves jill shell-shocked, arguably because she is both a known dog-lover and because she has never seen anything specifically like that in her life.
keep in mind, she’s taken the investigation into the murders in the arklay mountains seriously and personally, given that the first two victims were two little girls she knew, aged nine and seven. seeing one of her fellow teammates getting mauled and eaten is jarring because of how unexpected and new and disturbing it is, but also because in that moment, she’s thinking of becky and priscilla mcgee. she’s so shell-shocked that she can’t move, let alone fire her weapon — wesker shoots a dog before it can attack her and she, chris, barry and wesker high-tail it toward the mansion.
in the mansion, her first encounter with a zombie is when she comes across it clamoring toward her; she shoots it twice before barry steps in and shoots it once in the head. they discover that it’s bravo team member ken sullivan, and after grimly ransacking his hip pouches for ammo and returning to the main hall to meet up with wesker, who has since disappeared.
she and barry agree that splitting up is their best option to locate chris, potential surviving bravo team members, and wesker, as they’ll be able to cover more ground. while jill traverses the mansion she encounters more zombies, violent crows, and a trap room that almost crushes her to death. once out of the mansion and into the courtyard, she finds a secret underground passageway and follows it, to where she finds enrico marini, injured and warning herself and barry that the entire operation is a set-up and umbrella knew about this all along. wesker, hidden by shadows and quick to retreat, kills enrico before he can say any more. jill stays behind and holds enrico’s hand in his dying moments while barry attempts to locate wesker.
jill has no doubt, by that point, that umbrella has a member of S.T.A.R.S. in their pocket, and ventures into the tunnels to find more answers. she encounters a hunter alpha and is able to put it down with several shots from her baretta and shotgun. it’s her first proper encounter with a bioweapon and the first time it really hits her that umbrella is up to worse things than she originally thought.
this only pushes her further.
after almost being crushed to death raiders of the lost ark style by a giant boulder, she finds her way back to the courtyard and uncovers the entrance to the secret underground lab beneath the estate. she uncovers documentation regarding research and development of bioweapons and is ecstatic to bring the information back to the raccoon police department when barry leads her to wesker before being ordered to leave. wesker takes jill’s weapons and intends to throw her into a fight against a tyrant, which would ultimately lead to her death, but barry incapacitates him temporarily so he and jill can escape.
jill and barry reunite with chris and rebecca chambers on a helipad, with brad vickers circling above them in the alpha team’s chopper. before he can land, the tyrant that had escaped his stasis chamber emerges and engages the four in a fight. they keep him distracted by splitting rapid, aggressive gunfire, until brad tosses down a rocket launcher and chris kills the tyrant in one shot. they all escape, watching the spencer estate and all secrets and answers within it self-destruct as they fly back to the station.
jill’s encounters with zombies, the cerberus pack and various bioweapons in the mansion and secret lab shook her up considerably during the time. at points, she’s fully convinced she’s never going to get out of the mansion. she’s separated from most of the team early on and keeps mentally preparing herself to find chris dead, or worse. even when they escape, she doesn’t feel triumphant. the crash from the adrenaline high is hard as she stares out the hatch window, watching the spencer estate and every piece of evidence that could bury umbrella for causing countless deaths to innocent raccoon city citizens — to becky and priscilla — get destroyed.
following the mansion incident, the surviving S.T.A.R.S. team goes to chief irons, demanding a full investigation into umbrella regarding their involvement in the murders, as well as their illegal development of bioweaponry. irons shuts this down immediately, disbanding S.T.A.R.S. under the guise of them being too small to effectively carry out operations. jill is promptly suspended due to her insistence on an investigation into umbrella, and put under house arrest to hinder any attempts to investigate umbrella on her own.
this hardly stops her. despite all the medication she’s taking for her insomnia, she’s still barely sleeping and has a distinct loss of appetite — added on top of her lack of a job schedule, she has ample amounts of free time to dig into the investigation remotely. within a week, she has a board mounted on her wall, and with each passing day, more and more files are being added to it.
with help from a personal data assistant she was given by a mysterious stranger ahead of the mansion incident, she compiles a list of names affiliated with umbrella’s bioweapons research: the only one that gets her very far, given that he’s still alive at the time of her investigation, is william birkin. she accurately profiles the t-virus. she has suspicions about other bioweaponry in development, such as the g-virus, but is unable to pinpoint the exact name of the g-virus and what it’s designed to do.
[ it’s also worth noting that she has a photo of an ne-alpha parasite on her board, which is the parasite umbrella implanted into a tyrant to create nemesis. ]
in addition to having an investigation board set up, jill has written a letter to chris, detailing that she’s being watched 24/7 by umbrella and she suspects that they will move in to kill her at any point. with the letter, she plans to send all of her files so that they’ll both be in safe hands, and be with someone she knows will continue the investigation if and when she is killed.
on sept. 28, 1998 at 8 p.m., she receives a phone call from brad vickers. it’s a split-second warning before nemesis crashes into her apartment through the wall and attacks her. she reacts quickly and is able to shake off the creature, at least temporarily.
while attempting to flee a horde of zombies, brad is bitten and infected — a sacrifice he makes so that jill can escape to the roof of a parking garage and hitch a ride on a rescue helicopter. before she can reach the helicopter, nemesis blows it up. jill attempts to incapacitate the creature with a vehicle and is unsuccessful; she is rescued on the streets below by carlos oliveira and taken to a temporary shelter, where she agrees to help his squad restore power to the subway station to get survivors out of the city.
throughout her venture through downtown raccoon city, she encounters throngs of infected citizens and is more than prepared to deal with it. she aims to conserve ammo when she can, shoots only when necessary, and has taken a habit of taking any useful supplies off of those who are dead and unanimated. she’s even able to hold her own against new mutations she encounters both in the city and the sewers.
in the hospital, she encounters hunter betas, which resemble the hunter alphas she encountered in the underground tunnels of spencer mansion. she has no issues dealing with them, as a result; even as she encounters more undead in NEST 2, including regenerative zombies known as pale heads, she’s able to keep a cool head and handle things on her own, following her method of shooting when necessary and thoroughly staying aware of her surroundings.
where nemesis is concerned, she learned it best in the mansion: don’t assume anything. she recognizes nemesis immediately as a bioweapon, though she can’t say what it is, exactly. she knows in her gut that the creature is a creation of umbrella and was without a doubt sent into the raccoon city incident to hunt her down and kill her; this is only confirmed when she finds nikolai’s activity log. after the second time she thinks she’s killed nemesis and is proven unsuccessful, he’s mutated into something three times his former size and exhibits distinctly more animalistic behaviors in movement and pathing. after this point, she stops assuming she’s killed the creature and sets her entire focus on both her and the city’s survival. whenever nemesis pops up, she relies on every aspect of her S.T.A.R.S. training, and falls back on basics: deal as much damage as possible when possible, but prioritize finding cover and regrouping.
while jill never expected a full-scale t-virus outbreak and couldn’t have predicted nemesis, her prior encounter with both zombies and aggressive bioweapons at the spencer mansion gave her the knowledge and preparation she needed to survive. she knows being bitten is a death sentence at best and she knows better than to assume the vulnerabilities of anything umbrella has created.

Forgive Me
A modified alt. scene to my Into the Ark comic based on the option that didn't win the vote
Back to main Contents || Back to One-shot Contents
Following Jay and Tim was all too easy. Even after they’d become more cautious about giving away their location Hoody had still managed to track them down with ease… and he wasn’t the only one. Jay really needed to be more careful. He could only delay and distract Alex so long before something bad happened.
“It could’ve gone really bad last time.” He thought about Jay’s last entries where he’d not only grabbed some stranger in a mask off the side of the road, but also led Alex straight to the hotel he’d been staying at.
Hoody considered it lucky Alex was focused on that new girl, Ash, than Jay himself and that Tim had shown up and caught Alex off guard, injuring the crazed man before the trio escaped. The hooded man still didn’t have a good feeling though. Even with Alex laying low to recover somewhere, he didn’t trust the newest person they’d taken in.
“They aren’t anyone we knew at college. Someone else involved… They’re a threat.” Even if it wasn’t them directly he got a bad feeling from them and they seemed to be aware of it themselves given they weren’t exactly trying to get too friendly. “Good thing too.”
Crouching in the bushes outside the motel though, he began to wonder if it would be too late to prevent Jay from getting tangled up in a worse mess. The slamming of a car door made Hoody flinch, the sound was loud in the quiet morning. He ducked down further as the man walked down the sidewalk in a gray jacket with a neon green stripe down the arms and bottom. His face was covered by a black bandana with an identical shade of green around the edge of it. But it was the box he was carrying that caught his attention more than anything. It wouldn’t have been interesting except for the fact it was dripping a dark red liquid, the bottom soaked through with the blood as well and getting on the man’s clothes and hands… Fresh.
He forced himself to stay still as the stranger picked the motel room lock and entered the room Tim and Ash occupied. For a moment, he contemplated going in after this intruder but forced himself to stay put. He was unarmed and it was unlikely he’d be seen as help in Tim’s eyes.
“So long as Jay is safe…” Brian’s boyfriend, well his boyfriend, was oblivious to the danger and who he’d become after the sickness began eating away at him. “It’s for the best… I can’t let him see me like this. It’s easier to help him while keeping him safe if he doesn’t know.”
A commotion erupted from the room. Hoody tensed up as the man ran out followed by Ash. Tim’s shout for Jay to wake up was soon followed by the man making his appearance and turning to follow after the other two. Hoody stood, wanting to follow from a distance in order to assess just how dangerous that man in the gray jacket was.
“Hey!” Jay’s voice made his focus whip back to the motel doors.
He took a step back, already seeing Jay ignore the other situation and barreling toward him with a determined look on his face. There weren’t many hiding places in this small divide between the motel and the field behind him but he had to try getting away. In his rush, he didn’t notice his phone slip out of his pocket and onto the dirt until it was too late.
The footsteps chasing him had fallen silent. Hoody risked looking over his shoulder to find Jay standing with his phone in hand. A jolt of panic seeped into him. Jay wouldn’t be able to get into his phone without the password but there was enough evidence of his identity on the lock screen…
“Bri?” The scrawny man’s voice cracked in a mixture of pain, disbelief, and shock.
Hoody was just as frozen as his boyfriend seemed to be. The pair stared at each other. A pang of guilt went through him at the hurt expression on Jay’s face.
“Brian… is that you?”
Jay cautiously began closing in, lowering the phone to reveal the photo of Jay on the lock screen background—a cropped photo that originally had him in it as well. It had been taken before everything had gone downhill. Before the cyphers and riddles plagued his mind whenever that creature showed up and fucked his head up even more. It was all he could do to hold onto this sliver of his old self. The one where he was happy and had Jay in his arms… he could only hope they could have that again some day.
But that wouldn’t happen soon. Hoody needed that phone back and had to drive Jay away until it was safe. If Alex figured out who he was and how he still loved Jay, then their old director might use Jay to get to him—to hurt him even more before killing the both of them.
Against his desire to embrace Jay, Hoody charged him and slammed the light-weight man to the ground beneath him. It felt like electricity going through him at the contact after so long without any despite the fact it was through layers of clothes and certainly wasn’t meant to be intimate. He grabbed the phone back but hesitated to flee once more. For a lingering few seconds, Hoody allowed himself to indulge in his need for proximity to his boyfriend. The two stared, bodies pressed close enough that he could’ve leaned down ever so slightly and kissed him.
“I can’t… I’m sorry… I’m so sorry… Jay. Please forgive me.” One day, if they survived this, he’d make sure Jay understood why he did this. Why he was hurting and tormenting his boyfriend with those Totheark videos and seemingly toying with him.
But not today.
Hoody raised a figure to his lips in a motion for Jay to keep quiet—both to avoid alerting Tim to his presence and in hopes Jay understood he couldn’t tell anyone about who he was. At least the man had been so confused by the morning’s chaos that he’d left the camera in the room. This revelation of his identity to Jay wouldn’t have any evidence left behind for him to bury.
“Wait.” Jay panicked as Hoody jumped back to his feet.
Beneath the mask, a heartbroken expression crossed his face. Gritting his teeth, he ran off again into the field. He’d be back when things calmed down. While he knew Tim could serve as a protector against threats, he’d always be lurking ready to step in if necessary. Together, whether the other two realized it or not, the three of them would stop Alex and find a way to end this.

The Way The Spark Changes
The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the waters of the ocean were calm and gentle. Morningstar watched as the sun slowly rose over the waves, her head full of thoughts she had not lingered on before. Her glossy black body shined in the light, from her flat elevated peds, to her dragon headed chasses, to her blue optics, which held a far away look to them. Her mouth, usually in a smile in some way, shape, or form, is pursed, contemplative, verging on a frown. One hand was against the rock she sat on, holding her upper half up, while the other was slowly playing with the Decepticon insignia on her chest, a digit dragging against the lines.
The soft crashing of the waves and her peaceful form was hiding a frenzied and rather panicked stream of thoughts in her mind. Another battle had been lost. More warriors had been injured. More infighting, more accusations, more distrust and hatred. The mech she loved, who she fought for, is becoming more and more unhinged, coming up with even more dangerous plans, plans that involve sacrificing their own men, plans that will endanger not only themselves, but everything and one.
Morningstar closed her optics, a sigh escaping her metallic lips. Her reason for being with the Decepticons was fading from her. The once love she held with great reverence, was now turning to irritation. Looking at him no longer sent her spark into a flurry of signals to be flushed and experience happiness. It did still send a signal or two to smile fondly and experience for a moment of joy, but it now sent more anxiety and frustration through her. She still held some positivity for him, but... the original spark of something that pulled her aside was gone. The thing that had made her give up her morals and her beliefs, the thing that made her join the Decepticons instead of the Autobots with her sister, had been depleted.
It hurt. It hurt that she gave up helping people, saving lives, and building solid connections with beings who wished to better the universe for a mech that didn't give her a second glance. It hurt that the love she had was now gone. It hurt that the warmth that she once got from his attention and his words were now dulled and droning. It hurt that she no longer wanted to fight for her emotions, no longer wanted to do what she could to make him happy. It hurt that her reason for remaining was dwindling.
She did make friendships with other Decepticons, yes. Soundwave was quiet, observing. The normally loud femme loved being around him in silence, as the silence around Soundwave did not feel attacking and cold like when she was alone. His quiet was filled with comfort, acceptance. She did well with Thundercracker, both bonding over the reservations about being a Decepticon. Thundercracker stayed because of his fear of Megatron and his love of his trine mates, Morningstar stayed for her fierce love of Megatron, and her fear of change.
That is why she sat on the beach now, contemplating her life. She had to decide what she had to do. Did she remain with those she had fought along side for over 4 million years, despite the reason for staying was gone and her spark hurt like it was being mauled by the Pet? She could perhaps learn to love him again, learn to fight with her whole being once more. She had been approached by Thundercracker, who was worried about the increasing amount of scars on her armor. Before, nothing could touch her. Now, it was becoming increasingly hard to motivate herself to move out of the way of attacks.
Perhaps she could join the Autobots. A smile threatened the Dragon's features, the thought of her sister tearing up with pride and relief of her youngest sibling coming home to the Ark. Grace would collapse with joy if she walked in, searching for forgiveness and redemption. The Autobots would bawk and be suspicious of her, of course, seeing as for a good chunk of time she gave her everything for the Decepticon cause, or at least, for the one who ran the cause. She would offer information and future plans, give her all to redeem herself in the eyes of the Autobots, her sisters, her people, and herself. Then again, could she face those she called her comrades and her trinemates in battle? Could she look at them, watching as they tried to kill her with pain in their expressions and questions in their optics?
The DJD would hunt her down for her treason, certainly. Her name would more than likely shoot to the top of The List, a demand of her once beloved leader once he found out. Vos will question her in his strange tongue, his usually high pitched babble taking a softer tone. Kaon ordering the Pet to attack her with a shaky breath, but the Pet limping over to her, looking at her with questioning eyes. Tesarus would shift side to side, the maul pit in his chest whirring. Helix would demand answers, asking why betray them. Why betray her brothers, her fellow soldiers, her mates? In the end, Tarn himself would attempt to do the deed, talking normally, trying to go softer to lull her spark to death. She was resistant to his attack, her spark only knowing the speed of music and a select few voices.
Would her leader demand to do the final blow?
Then again, she could flee the war. She could grab a ship, stockpile energon, and just go. Leave the world of Earth and find a new one. She could find somewhere that they didn't know her name, didn't know the Cybertronian war, didn't know about Autobots and Decepticons, and maybe make a new life. Work at her redemption by being a good friend, a good neighbor. Save a few lives she knew nothing about, work to cure diseases, overthrow evil dictators... Become someone that the humans call a hero. Perhaps... She could go home.
Home made her catch her breath. Destronia had been so far from her mind for so long, it was almost like a fantasy to think about now. She could go home. Home, to her castle, to her throne room. Home, where everyone would welcome her with open arms, smile and scold her for leaving them so suddenly. Home, with her fellow Destronians, peace in the air, love everywhere. Home, with her responsibilities and the insufferable pressure to be the goddess they all need you to be.
If she went home, she would have to take the throne once more. She would don her crown, take her place at the center of the 4 chairs, and become who she fled from when she snuck aboard her sister's ship headed for Cybertron. She would have to become Judge, Jury, Executioner and Reaper, seeing as all her siblings had long left the thrones. Dest, Tron, and Nia were more than likely still in charge, the avatars that Morningstar created to replace the sisters as they went on their journeys. Kylia was more than likely hunting down dangerous prey and omnicidal maniacs across the cosmos, Graceon was the gentle Autobot medic along side her sweetspark Ratchet, Eveningmoon was on her own self-discovery mission, trying to find out who she was besides the darkness of the form herself and her twin Morningstar once were combined as... Now Morningstar was questioning her purpose in life. She was the being of emotion, of courage, of life.
Sounds of laughter nearby brought Morningstar out of her musings slightly, before she semi-focused on the ocean once more. What was she to do with her life? All the Ideas she thought of had valid pros and cons, but it came back to that all consuming fear of hers. Metathesiophobia, after a moment of looking it up. The fear of change. Was she strong enough to make a new life or fight for the one she had now? Was she truly out of love for the one she gave up her everything for? Her mind raced with questions and thoughts, playing out scenarios and trying to see what would be the best bet for her. The moments of her life swirling around her, voices trying to work with her, yelling at her, trying to tell her the path she should or shouldn't take...
~:Morningstar, report:~
A sigh of defeat escaped her, before she pressed the com-link on her right upper jaw line, underneath her audio sensors.
"Morningstar reporting."
~:Megatron commands that all Decepticons return to base:~
"Order acknowledged. I will return to base." She responded, getting up from her seat on the giant rock formation. She released the comm-link, allowing the responses to be done.
~:Confirmation received:~
The voice went silent, and yet another sigh escaped her. She chuckled mirthlessly, holding her face in her hand. The tears she had not realized that had been falling were making themselves known now, the gentle wetness lightly coating her digits on her face. The pain in her spark grew, it felt like a void was sucking in everything, emptiness consuming her. She couldn't handle to look at him again. She couldn't stand it now, yet she had to. She had to be strong. She had to be Morningstar.
She wiped away the oily tears, taking a breath as she floated into the air. She spread her wings, once she was high enough, before allowing herself to fall, her wings catching the wind before beginning to glide. With minimal effort on her anti-gravity engines, she flew parallel from the plane of water beneath her, her hand grazing the surface. Her own reflection looked at her, before looking forward, seeing the dark-purple tower rise from the sea. Her destination. Her prison. Her dwelling.
Her tomb, if she played her cards wrong.

A snippet from last year...
May 1, 2023
I've been trying to assess what I need to do in order to heal these old wounds. It's been about three weeks of feeling useless, a disappointment to myself, and lacking appetite or drive. I'm depressed and exhausted, and Fortitude is just about fed up with me.
Perhaps I shouldn't speak for him, but he did confront me about my behavior. I've had to explain multiple times that isn't just any old injury, and I'm getting frustrated with asserting that I am in fact trying to function.
When I released Arke, channeled all her taint into the ROTA and channeled the light of four other stars back into her, I shattered two of my chakras so badly that I had to be stitched back together. I had nightmares, multiple surgeries, and resigned myself to metaphysical bed rest. Then, a week later, the project at the forge took off, and I had to throw myself into that, injuring myself again.
I am trying to heal. I just keep coming up against obstacles that tell me exactly how badly I was injured in the first place.
I realized how bad it all was when I missed one of W's homework assignments, and felt like I'd been stabbed. The shame was so visceral, so physical, that I nearly broke down crying. From a child's homework assignment.
And my partner is being impatient with me. Granted, this is the Virtue of Fortitude, not patience. And here I am, still mourning the loss of my friend... my friend John, Patience incarnate... from whom all I want is to be told I'm going to be okay.
I keep ruminating on all the things I'd say if I had a face-to-face conversation with him or C... How they're not entitled to my time, or how they can tell me what to do with my trauma once they stop hiding behind their own, drawing boundaries where there weren't any before... but in truth, I really want my friend back.
It makes little difference that I'm having to put forth the effort to be patient and to demand it from other people when it's not in my job description. I'm the one who runs headlong into danger because no one else will. Most simply can't. And I have to wonder now... if I'm self-sabotaging by doing this to myself. I meet irrational, unnatural expectations, and then not only do I injure myself, but I waste time in recovery.
These last wounds have completely ruined my confidence, and anxiety is at a high. It's the original reason why Fortitude has channeled for me for so long. Because I have no confidence in myself. Now, more than ever, I feel like a disappointment. And the best I can do is to ignore the little voice that tells me how worthless I am and keep on trucking.
I need to rest. I need a break. I need to get high.
I need my friend back.

Offering himself up to gather firewood was simple, really. He'd done it every time he went camping with Felix, lacking the younger man's patience and dexterity with a bow. He made a poor hunter but size alone made woodcutting a fairly simple task. Rhythmic, calming, an opportunity to clear his mind and taking himself back to brighter times. Times before the flood. Times so long ago, Sylvain wonders if they were dreams or memories.
The four of them make their way to the fungal forest in near silence. Only the sound of foot fall against the sodden ground keeps them company. It's then he notices Electra limping, spots how weakly she grasps her axe. Her skin is starkly pale and she moves as though she's walking through tar. Sylvain had put this down to the horrors she'd witnessed, the loss of her young daughter. And gods, Electra was barely older than he was. He pictures her holding Arke as a babe, the same age he is now. It makes his stomach lurch, lingers at the corners of his mind, haunting and unforgiving.
He cannot possibly comprehend her loss.
It's in his nature to approach her gregariously, flirtation sweet on his tongue like honey. He can't bring himself to act so foolish, so callously. Pace slowing, he falls into step with her and offers her a watery smile. One that lacks his usual roguish charm, lacks any mirth or joy either. But if he doesn't force a smile, he fears he'll be the one in tears, though he has no right to them.
"You look pained, Electra," he manages to state the obvious. She doesn't respond but turns her head in his direction. He shakes his own, sheepish and unable to meet her gaze. "I mean physically, are you sure you want to be--"
No, he stops himself before finishing that sentence. If even he feels compelled to be doing something to take his mind off the disasters they've faced, he's sure that she needs it far more than he does. Waiting at camp alone would surely leave her to drown in her grief, even after the flood has long subsided.
"Well, what I mean is, can I try to help with that? I'm not a skilled healer but," Sylvain turns his gaze back to her, words failing him, slipping and fading away as he tries to grasp them, "I'd like to do what I can for you."
They've reached the clearing and Electra still stares at him, eyes glassy, as if she's not actually seeing him at all. Her wrist flexes, lifting her axe and it falters slightly. Concern furrows his brow but, slowly, ever so slowly, she gives him a nod of consent. It's the most open and communicative she's been with any of them, feels like a grand gesture from one so silent. Sylvain closes his eyes, trying to focus on his goal as he recites the incantation softly under his breath.
Sylvain casts Heal on Electra 5/10 HP. Roll d20: 20! 6 HP restored. Electra has 10/10 HP remaining.
It surprises him, really. To have a talent beyond flirting with danger, death and the devastatingly beautiful. Something to cherish. More importantly, some of the colour rushes back to Electra's face. It still aches just to look at her, so haunted and lost, but at least she's unlikely to injure herself. He grabs his own axe, turning his attention to the giant forest of mushrooms surrounding them, wondering if it'll burn well enough to keep them warm tonight, to cook their food. To keep them alive. As he swings his axe he curses himself, wishes he was Mercedes, Annette or perhaps Ashe. Someone who'd have something to say to Electra. Someone gentle and kind, not rough and splintered like himself.
He's out of his depth. Doesn't know how to speak to a grieving mother with any real sincerity.
His axe swings in an arc through the air, slicing through the mushroom stalks. They appear far more fibrous and wooden than those Ingrid would forage in Faerghus. Appreciably lighter than wood too, they'll be able to carry more back to camp. A cloud of spores erupts nearby, catching his attention.
"Oi, Kris? You alright over there?"

Penelope
Penelope is one of the main protagonists for Interwoven. Name: Penelope Dunst Age: 26 Pronouns: she/her Height: 5′3″ Voice synth reference: Rana (Vocaloid) Tether to: Kemerodrym Sembla: Fire (More info underneath picture) Artwork by chorvaqueen!
Penelope grew up in Nerium City, a rather crowded and bustling city. When she was younger she was known to get into fights and hang out with what most would consider the “bad crowd” of kids. Because of this, other people tended to avoid her as she was known to be ruthless with her fights. During one such fight her right eye was severely injured, but she tends to boast about how she won the fight and broke the other person’s arm. The injury in her eye has led to permanent eye damage, and she can’t really see out of it anymore. She had mellowed out as she got older, but her tough personality persisted. While she wouldn’t be an aggressor with fights, she still wouldn’t be afraid to stand her ground if needed. She tends to be rather blunt and often comes across as aloof. Over the years she had taken up a smoking habit, which had drawbacks to her physical health, most notably while she is physically strong, her stamina is incredibly low. During the initial start of the vani invasion, she had been forcefully dragged away by the massive fire vani, Kemerodrym. She was dragged from place to place as Kemerodrym insisted he was doing his job of keeping the others in check, yet all this would cause was destruction to everywhere they went. At some point, she had managed to acquire a vanium weapon from Kemerodrym, however, once the opportunity arose, she plunged it into his brand, killing him. From that moment on she had decided to take up hunting down the other vani, and wanted to kill them as well as their tethers. Somewhere along the road she came into contact with Jett, the leader of the militaristic group that was managing the Ark, a safe haven for those who were in attacked areas. While Penelope wanted to work alone, she ultimately decided to “team up” with Jett in order to get intel on where vani sightings and the like have occurred. To not make this super long, I’ll just add a few more notes instead. Dell was the first party member she had come across. After a fight with Piper and Ukorgana that ultimately led to their capture by the Ark (much to Penelope’s dismay), Dell, who had also been there, pleaded for his life and for Penelope to not kill him. While at the Ark, Dell would pester Penelope to the point where the two actually started to talk with one another. Dell then decided to travel alongside Penelope as he didn’t want to sit around and do nothing. Fjolla was the next party member they had come across. Freya, the toxin tether, had captured Fjolla and Paharu to do rather... inhumane experiments on them to further understand and “get control” over vani. While Freya and Halivital had escaped, Penelope and Dell managed to save Fjolla and Paharu. Penelope didn’t want to admit it at the time, but she had felt pity for what had happened to the two, and she didn’t even attempt to attack. Paharu had been sent back to the Ark, and Fjolla joined the two as she had grown a bit attached to Penelope. Vanessa was initially a foe, having led Penelope into “Wonderland” and leading her into a death trap set by Elaine, the glass tether. After the defeat of the Wonderland group, Vanessa decided to tag along, much to everyone’s dismay. The group was a bit...dysfunctional at times, but over time they grew close to one another and worked together quite well. ---- Much like Kemerodrym, Penelope doesn’t focus on outwardly using her magic, rather choosing to focus it in on herself to act as a buff of sorts. She had vanium brass knuckles fashioned for her, and while such a close range weapon is extremely dangerous, she insisted on having them made. She focuses her magic through the brass knuckles, sending flames or searing punches to her opponents. Penelope’s humon form resembles a strange beetle-like creature. Aside from her hair, the texture of her monster form is similar to hardened skin. She is a were, and is able to shift back and forth between forms.
