like, I'm old school web comic culture, I like handmade zines that are stapled, I just want to make comics and tell stories and the ranking system of the popular webcomic sites exhaust me to my core, which is why I like tumblr. I want to draw sulla wound fingering crassus and not think about the metrics.
#that said i'm a pretty avid reader of korean webcomics and chinese webnovels when i have the money for it#unfortunately i have not had the money for that kind of thing in like. six years RIP#its part of why i dont really plan to paywall my stuff. i want to like. connect somehow. and thinking about a historical fiction comic#in terms of 'is this something someone will pay for?' over 'this is something i FELT in my BONES' kills me#and i do not mean that as an exaggeration. for like two years i was an art industry artist and it did serious critical infrastructure damag#to me. i do commissions and freelance gigs to pay the bills but all i want to do is draw comics#and hopefully! i will make comics that people will want to support through patreon or something like that!#because i would love to not think about trying to pay my bills with this but unfortunately i have student loans#also eventually i would like health insurance. tbh. or actually. dental insurance.

It’s always an experience on this site when you comment on someone’s post, they greatly misinterpret in and make a bunch of bad faith assumptions about you. You reply back to clarify your point better and try to explain that ultimately, you actually agree with their point mostly. And then they block you.

Does Teyvat have checks??
I'm writing a fic where someone needs to be paid long-distance (the job can be completed in writing) and I realized I'm not sure checks exist in Teyvat. Sending a crate full of mora would certainly be inconvenient.
One of the original reasons for the invention of paper currency was that metal coins were just so damn heavy to carry around everywhere.

I don’t think people realize how impressive it is that Palestinian resistance forces manually aim and fire at ground and air vehicles and hit them — or that they allegedly work their own production lines to have the weapons. Or that the Yemeni forces blockading the Bab al-Mandab didn’t lose the previous US-UK-EU-supported war against them.
#like as much fun as you can poke about the Palestinians not having the latest technology you can’t say they’re not impressive regardless#same for Yemen like people make fun that the Houthis have misfired before or don’t have accurate missiles to hit at the ships....BUT........#that makes it more impressive that they’re standing their ground vocally or physically or however#of course having US backing makes people arrogant and confident but it’s not really impressive to win with the obvious military support#it’s impressive that those fighting back can be just as confident#and frankly they have the experience to support that fact#Palestinian resistance hasn’t been losing on the actual fighting front for decades it’s just the cowards go for infrastructure and civilians#Palestine#Yemen#say what you will about available resources or politics but overall they fight with undeniable conviction courage and skill
