shen qingqiu. shizun. shen yuan, right? that guy. for some reason i have this really strange itch that just- a singer shen yuan au would cure. like im thinking barbie princess and the pauper type singer au. like he was transmigrated a bit after uh binghes blakening ig. maybe he just got out of the abyss, right? on his way to go torture his shizun and all that gof stuff.

shen yuan was just placed into this npc type guy, not relevant to the plot really. maybe hes a brother to uh one of bingges future wife? but anyways, his family's pretty poor so they do all they can to make a few extra coins. he finds out he has a pretty nice voice from um, singing his little sister to sleep? something sweet like that. his family urges him to give it a try, telling him everyone would love his voice. after getting over his embarrassment, he gives it a shot. I imagine he like tries to remember certain songs from yknow. barbie.. barbie songs. i love Barbie.

and hes all like "well no ones gonna recognize it ill just say i wrote it its fineeee" and then that kind of backfires on him when airplane stumbles upon a random dude singing "i need to know" from the hit barbie movie babrie as the island princess. (im just like you, youre just like me!!) actually it'd be funny if he only sung barbie songs. like theyre just melted into his brain after all the times his little sister had forced him to watch them with her. anyways, they hit it off.. in more ways then one. that sounds like a sex joke, its not. im implying he beat bro up. pidw author and all.

anways uh maybe airplane like helps him out and like they get shen yuan to start performing for like important things. idk. uh. good entertainment for the richer ppl yknow. hes become pretty popular now. its hard to book him, with all the requests hes getting now. now this is where bingge comes in. bro needs a performer for an upcoming.. wedding? i guess? he needs to entertain guests so he books the most popular guy right? shen yuan, upon realizing binghe, the heavenly demon emperor, wants to hire him, absolutely freaks out.

he doesnt want anything to do with the protagonist!! he was living a pretty good life!! and every man that comes into contact with binghe either ends in a gruesome death or are thrown into cellars! thats just how pidw was written!! so obviously, the best course of action is to ignore it! ignore everything! uhhh.. bad idea, really. he basically just sends a letter back saying "haha sorry cant, busy!!!"

and binghe.. binghe does not take that all too well. who would've thought. not shen yuan. who dared ignore the literal emperor!? conqueror of realms??!! and so, he sets out to go see for himself how "busy" this lowly singer is!! que dramatic scene where binghe walks into a pub and theres like at least 50 or so people crowded to the back. hes confused at first, before he hears this almost angelic voice. it seems to wash over the entire pub, entrancing its residents. like a siren calling out.

there isnt exactly a "stage" in this pub, so he cant really see whos singing. he quickly makes his way towards the crowd and pushed his way through. after the people realize who he is, its easy enough. his eyes land on one of the most beautiful humans he's ever seen. his eyes are almost crystal clear in this lighting. a warmish brown, almost orange. his auburn brown hair is fully down, embellished with golden jewels and hair tinsel. a strange look.. but it works on him. and his skin..

before he can ogle anymore, the angelic mans voice tapers off, leaving the crowd disappointed. binghe looks up to see the other staring at him, eyes wide.

might continue this tmr or like fix it up a bit.. but yeah.. singer shen yuan save me.. please i need him so badly. also i love fics that have bingge and shen yuan bickering theyre always so good. i love them being silly in strange ways. part 2!!!

McLennon Playlists

I have been working putting together some McLennon playlists. I mean "McLennon" pretty broadly and vaguely with these lists, so choose your own adventure. It's a useful short portmanteau for for the creative partnership of Lennon/McCartney. But I do also think there is a powerful human relationship here, disregarded from the classic Beatles narrative. And I think this relationship is pivotal to much of their songwriting.

This is a work in progress but here are the acts so far:

Act I: The Beatles before India '68. This is a foundational period. For the most part, I don't think these songs are consciously referencing each other. Rather, they providing a foundation for future references. That said, I think Hide Your Love Away deserves a second look.

Act II: The Beatles after India '68. The contrast is remarkable. Not everything on this list is written by Lennon/McCartney. I think George's While My Guitar Gently Weeps is actually the best expression for the whole time. Anyway, they're breaking up. Passionately. Chronology is a total mash since most of these songs were written or produced in a small period of time.

Act III: The 70's up through approximately 1975. Here especially the chronology of songs begins to be sacrificed for highlighting some back and forth. I personally find their mirroring right after the Beatles--with the front and center band wives and antipodal messages right when they're sending each other cutting missives through hit singles--hilarious. But after that you get this escalating back and forth in moods. Still sent through international hits! Lol. Which they simply presume will work. Anyway, if you listen in order, the positivity increases. Unfortunately, a playlist shift is required once John returns to Yoko in 75ish.

Act IV: '76ish through 1980. After a period of musical productivity and reconnecting with old friends including McCartney, John returns to Yoko. Let's not weight into that but merely note that it changes all music vibes for both musicians. John goes completely silent for 5 years, except for later release home demos. (I'm using Spotify for this which doesn't have most of Lennon's demos unfortunately. But the demos for Free as a Bird and Real Love are recorded during this time so those songs are included. Now and Then demo also, but c'mon let's save that.) McCartney in the meantime writes a series of IMPASSIONED songs about things like his baby who won't call him back, and his lover who needs to beware. Idk what is going on with Wings in production, but LIVE he is absolutely wailing. He starts '76 going on tour worldwide with every song so far I would ever include in these lists. He wails into that void so hard... Things dip, but then escalate back up in 1980. Coming Up. Starting Over Again. But then unfortunately...

Act V: Post Dec 8, 1980. Pending. There's a lot here, but it's so sad it's taking me awhile.

○ he’s quiet and always finishes his duties efficiently

○ the kind to send one-sentence emails (idk why i thought this seemed very him)

○ he sits across from you and when your eyes meet over your desktops you quickly turn back to your screen (you don’t realize he’s chuckling)

○ employee of the month honestly

○ one of the people in the company who moved up the ranks pretty fast and at a pretty young age (he’s younger than most of the people with the same position)

○ he overhears your music playing through your headphones in the elevator one day (some of you will get this reference i hope)

○ “is that [insert obscure band]?” he’ll ask. you lift one side of your headphones to hear him and you nod happily when you realize his question. (from then on he has a little crush on you and he tries to start conversations in the future by asking if you’ve heard about that band’s new release!)

○ you were a little intimidated by him at first

○ there’s no other way to describe it other than he looks so effortlessly cool, with his subtle piercings and painted nails amidst his business attire

○ you realize he’s warmer than you think when you work up the courage to compliment his nails

○ he’s employee of the month #2, also a very diligent guy

○ honestly a joyous person to share a desk with

○ you think about it for a bit, opting to just hurry a little bit with your tasks. “okay fine, i’ll try not to take too long”

○ while you work, he even goes so far as to go to one of the vending machines down the hall to get you both a snack

○ bonus: on your way out you playfully go “did you hear that?” and his eyes widen immediately, “hear WHAT?”

○ would be employee of the month if he didn’t get into arguments with coworkers here and there 😭

○ not a rude employee by any means but he’s just passionate about doing well

○ it is so nice when you get paired to work with him because he motivates you to do so well too

○ the longer you work with him, you do get to see more relaxed sides of him and he even hums a little while he works (soon you discover he’s incredible at singing)

○ also doesn’t talk too much, not exactly because he’s busy but he also tends to sit idly sometimes, rotating on his chair to pass time LOL

○ he’s great to work with though, he’s so chill and open-minded that he’ll let you take the lead but also input his ideas when he feels necessary

○ you start talking to him when you come in on a monday, a little excited, “did you see the movie that everyone’s talking about?” you ask

i was going to make a little chart abt the polycule bc adding toilet is interesting but i have very specific thoughts on it, and then remembered i’d have to go off anon to add any images so i just type my thoughts instead

anyway i personally don’t see taco or mic having any romantic interest in toilet. i think it could potentially develop in the future (esp with taco), but i like the idea of him having a more platonic relationship with them in the beginning while being in a romantic relationship with mepad

my main thought is that taco just really deserves people who love her. it’s already shown that not only does mepad genuinely care about her, but he trusts that she can do better and has had a positive influence on her so far. pair that with fixing her relationship with mic and there’s the perfect opportunity for feelings to develop on all sides. i think mic and mepad could originally bond over being friends with taco and being glad that she’s doing better, and over time becoming friends with each other as well

the way their relationship develops in my mind is this: taco initially falls for mic and gets into a relationship with her, feelings for mepad are there she’s just a bit oblivious and unaware of them. thinking she would’ve been so distracted by getting their relationship sorted that it just kinda got pushed aside for the moment. once she realizes it she talks it out with mic and ends up dating both of them, and mic later grows interested in mepad and then they’re all dating. haven’t thought too much on toilet but he’d probably join later down the line

also here’s a few lil hcs in relation to this polycule:

- this has given me a lot of time to consider all of their sexualities and romantic orientations so here’s what i’ve got: pansexual demiromantic mic (which is why i think she wouldn’t be immediately interested in mepad or toilet), disaster bisexual taco, asexual biromantic mepad, ??? toilet (he doesn’t know and neither do i)

- mic teasing taco turns into mic and mepad teasing taco. they’re both so entertained and endeared by her weird little habits but it’s all lighthearted

- cuddle piles. that’s it

- taco never has to worry about feeling alone ever again bc there’s always someone hanging around her unless she manages to find a new hiding spot

- they are all various flavors of neurodivergent and end up sharing a lot of similar traits because of it. i think both toilet and taco are really sensitive to sound, and mic is the one that introduces taco to stim toys. from that point on taco always has something in her hands to mess with

- half the time they can all just hang out in the same room doing their own things without speaking, just enjoying knowing there’s other people in the room if they need them. and just bc they aren’t talking doesn’t mean it’s silent, someone’s either making some sort of idle noise (usually taco humming, i like to think it’s a form of stimming for her) or there’s quiet music playing (they definitely have a group playlist with music they all like)

Under the cut I’m gonna give her full lore dump which includes my headcanon on how Silvers time travel works but trust me you don’t need to read it all.

The TLDR is that Silver found her in a ruined future and in exchange for allowing her to exist outside timelines much like himself she now has time-bending powers (kinda!) She can adjust the time of any object (for example turning water into steam by sending it to its future where it evaporates.)

Ok so let’s start with Silvers time travel cuz it is actually relevant. The way I headcannon it working kinda combines all the ways we’ve seen it in canon.

I’m not gonna address 06 cause it didn’t happen in this timeline and also the method of time travel is similar to the own used in Rivals 1: using the power of the master or chaos emeralds.

So first off I headcanon that Silver being sent back to the past in rivals 1 was actually somewhat of an accident. He was on Onyx island when it was sent back. And then between Eggman Nega admitting he used the master emerald and (I have a rivals rewrite when this happens but that’s a post for another day oops) Shadow teaching Silver about the Chaos emeralds and how to harness their energy - Silver realizes he can use this power himself to send himself back in time Again but this time to stop the Ifirit from ever growing strong and therefore saving his future.

Doing this caused two things: one, now Silver himself was a living paradox where he both exists but can’t exist at once, and two: the timestones became aware of his determination to protect the world throughout all of time. The timestones then blessed Silver with the ability to exist outside the timelines and now he’s the only Silver throughout all time, but in return he now has the duty to Always save the future from destruction. The portals that appear to being Silver to the past or future when he’s needed is created by the timestones.

Now, to Mirai. Silver found Mirai in one of many ruined futures he had been called to prevent, and despite knowing that bringing anyone from the future back to the past could inadvertently cause a paradox (like he himself almost did) he knew he couldn’t just leave the child alone in a ruined future. They’d die. So he brings the child to the timestones and begs them to allow Mirai to be capable of existing outside time similar to himself so he could bring her home and she could live safely. The timestones really like Silver so they agree but also make it clear this cannot happen again.

When the time stones bless Mirai they also give her the ability to control the time of objects. She can turn water into steam, re-form broken relics, manipulates clay where she can create different weapons by sending the clay into alternate “futures” - one as a sword, one as a scythe, etc.

While this power can be very useful it’s also somewhat unreliable, so she also had Espio train her in Ninjitsu and with certain weapons.

I’m undecided on if I want her connection to the timestones mean that like Silver she has to go through the portals when they open. I think it would be interesting but idk if I can handle that level of angst oops

Hi Puts, thank you for answering my ask on the reaction from Japanese fans. It's understandable that all of us are left with mixed emotions. I do wonder if you're going to post the link (if you manage to get it) of YKL21? It pains me that Keiko isn't there but a part of me also wants to see how the arrangements are done to accommodate her absence. I want to see if YKL will be able to create those magical harmonies now that their backbone to those sounds is no longer there. I admit to being a little resentful in this regard, and it's probably because I've been listening to her music for years, and have come to admire YK that I truly feel disappointed with her decision. I hope she realises sooner than later how vital Keiko is to the YKL sound and that Keiko is a human and vocalist who has her own sets of aspirations to fulfill. Her desire to be part of YKL does not negate her desire to be part of Kalafina or embark on other goals. Anyway, thank you always Puts and for being patient in answering all the asks~

Hello there!! Before I get to your ask, I'd like to make a general announcement, don't worry, it's not specifically related to you or your message but rather to the entire issue at hand.

A quick heads-up to all of my followers and lurkers:

First of all I'd like to apologise to everyone who has sent an ask on this matter and still hasn't received a reply. I decided to take a break from all of this during the weekend since it was getting mentally draining and I started to seriously neglect some of my real-life responsibilities. Also, if at this point I've not posted a response to your question/message regarding the current situation, then it is likely I never will. Throughout the course of last week, I got way too many repetitive inquiries, I'm sorry to say that I just do not have the time or patience to answer every single one of them. I strongly urge people to just go through my relevant tags (#kalafina reunion, #space craft, #yuki kajiura) and thoroughly inform yourself before you send anything. Trust me, I covered the topic quite extensively and I don't believe you will be left with many (if any) unanswered questions once you have browsed through everything! Then I received a bunch of messages from people who clearly just want to argue with me and I am honestly so tired of them. I've made my stance perfectly clear and I think I have been fair in my assessment. On top of that, I've invested a lot of time clarifying my arguments and discussing the matter in the reply section of my posts. At some point, it's just enough. You don't need to agree with me, it's your prerogative to have a different opinion but there's no point in trying to sway my opinion, you are really just barking up the wrong tree. There are more than enough spaces in this fandom where your thoughts and arguments will be very much appreciated, you do not need to waste your time on my blog. To make a long story short, if you insist on painting Space Craft (and by extension Wakana, Keiko, Hikaru) as the ultimate and sole villain in this shit-show of a situation while simultaneously pretending as if Team Yuki isn't equally at fault for perpetuating all the petty hostilities and stupid rules of this everlasting feud, then I'm sorry to tell you, this is not the right place for you. Re: Anon's Message

Now that all the above stuff is out of the way, I can focus on your message, dear anon. First, let me clarify something. It's 100% okay to be invested in Yuki's activties and to be curious about her future projects. Despite my arguably controversial thoughts on Yuki's role in this feud, I certainly don't want anyone to "cancel" her or to "boycott" her lives in any way. Please continue to love and support her, especially if you've been her loyal fan from the get-go! No one has to ever feel the need to justify their interest in Yuki to me, your devotion is completely valid.

As for me, I stand by what I've always said, I am first and foremost a Kalafina fan, therefore, this blog only covers stuff that is at least somehow related to them. If none of the girls are involved in a project, I am not really motivated to invest my resources into it. People reading my live reports should know that Wakana's absence has already taken away a huge chunk of my enjoyment of YKL, with Keiko gone too now, I just don't see the appeal anymore. Both of them were such an integral part of these live performances, at least for me. There are songs of course that work without them (and those will continue to sound amazing) but I've always enjoyed a majority of music in Yuki's lives BECAUSE of Wakana and Keiko. Their renditions are not the be-all-end-all in this world (often not even the original) but they are the definitive versions engraved in my mind so everything else just doesn't feel right to me.

In short, I will likely not be covering any of the YKL Vol#21 news or provide content related to it. Unless of course there are some surprise changes to the lineup but that's very unlikely. If they end up covering Kalafina songs (Yuki is saying something about having different suites in her lives so the inclusion of a Kalafina-suite is certainly possible), I might consider posting about it but I'll cross that bridge if/when I come to it.

You don't need to worry though, I think there are lots of very passionate YK stans in this fandom who will surely provide everything you are looking for! And it's not like I will be gate-keeping any good sources, if I happen to come across a recording or something, I will definitely let you know. I'll just not go out of my way to invest any money, time or effort into any of it.

Last but not least, I completely agree with your thoughts about Keiko. All we can do is hope that this feud will someday be resolved, otherwise there will always be hostilities and conflicts of interest. As long as there are these two opposing sides and any allegiance to one side will get you shunned from the other side, we'll never know peace.

Diana! Thank you for sending these asks! ☺️ I'm so sorry it took so long to finish the reply, but I just kept adding to it and researching! Some of it was just loosely established lore and I had to delve deeper.

7. Describe your MC’s family.

Hellendil comes from a family of mixed background. His father is a muggle blacksmith/metal worker with Lenape ancestry and his mother a Welsh witch who found her calling as a metal charmer and jewelry maker. She was a world traveler after Hogwarts, frequenting worlds fairs and expos in search of materials and new techniques to use in her craft. She met her future husband at one such expo showcasing new technology and techniques as well as suppliers from around the world. With the industrial revolution underway, he needed to find new avenues for his own profession to stay relevant and these fairs were an excellent place to learn.

The two hit it off during one of the panels and continued writing to one another after returning home. He eventually sent a letter to her father asking for her hand with an engagement gift of raw garnets and amethysts he'd collected for use in her craft. When they married, he moved to Wales and worked under another smith until the proprietor eventually retired and sold him the business and property. The pair raised their four children in the house next to the smithy with help from her parents.

Hellendil's older sister is about 5'11" with dark brown hair. She is a more stern and straightlaced individual than her older brother, but also did not inherit any magical ability. As with all of the siblings, she was taught the arts of blacksmithing and jewelry making by their parents. She is a strong and dedicated individual and chose to follow the blacksmith path to a career. She apprenticed to another smith to learn more before she would eventually take over her father's business. With the rapid changes in metal working and technology at the time, she also frequently travels to attend technology fairs as her father did to learn new techniques and be prepared to adjust her work and the business to those changes.

Hellendil is the youngest of four children in the family. His eldest sibling, his brother, is 6'4" and wears his black hair long as well. He is a squib and a bit of a trouble maker in his youth in quest to be the center of attention. He wished to pursue a career as a dragonologist when he was growing up. Out of concern for his safety, the family talked him into an archaeology career instead, a career he is quite happy with after all. He currently assists with archeological digs in Egypt and frequently writes to his little brother about the finds and traces of magical history they are uncovering. He's constantly telling Hellendil to pursue a career as a curse breaker and come work with him.

His youngest sister is three years older and also possessed magical talent. She is the shortest sibling at around 5'7". She has black hair and likes to wear it in cute styles. She attended Hogwarts as well and was sorted into Hufflepuff. She is fun and vibrant, and a hopeless romantic, frequently reading romance novels (and passing them down to her little brother). She is currently working with her mother at the jewelry shop since she is undecided as to what she truly wants to do with her life.

11. What are your MC’s fears?

Ever since the confrontation with Rookwood, Hellendil's greatest fear is the darkness he is capable of when he becomes infuriated. So much anger and hate fueled powerful magic that helped him easily overpower his enemies, but once it was over he was a wreck over what he had done. Yes, he'd avenged Anne and Sebastian and numerous others that Rookwood had cursed or killed, but at what cost? The memory haunts him, especially at times when he's alone and unoccupied.

He also certainly fears loss, especially of those he cares about. He's seen so much loss during fifth year, it's one of those things that will show up in nightmares, and jostle him awake. It keeps him up at night, worrying.

You see Alex again after becoming a successful lawyer.

You never thought you would see his face again, but here he was, wide-eyed and speechless as he held his trusted camera in a tight grip, occasionally glancing at his client to at least appear like he cared how they liked their picture taken. 

When your client had beamed at you, requesting a picture to be taken together with you after having successfully represented them in court, you did not bat an eye. They were mildly famous, it was to be expected that they wanted their picture taken after winning a case as relevant to their career as this one. The publicity coming from it would not hurt, you reasoned, even as you were already working overtime due to all the legal proceedings you were involved in. 

Alex had been the last thing on your mind for months. 

He had broken your heart, leaving you behind as if you were nothing but an inconvenience in the end, and your expression remained stoically uncaring as you gazed at the camera you had once known so well, held in the slightly trembling hands of the person you had once loved more than life itself. 

There was no flash. “Uh,” Alex began eloquently, lowering the camera and looking at the two of you nervously. 

“What is it?” your client asked in confusion, running a hand through their hair to make sure no strands were sticking out at odd angles. “Is something the matter, Alex?”

“No, not at all,” he rushed out, glancing at you briefly before lowering his eyes again. Funny, he could not even hold your gaze anymore. “Just— You there” — he moved his hand vaguely in your direction, “A smile for the camera, please?”

If your career as a lawyer had taught you something above all else, it was patience and diplomacy. So, successfully biting back your unprofessional retort, you cleared your throat, keeping your expression as neutral as before. 

Alex would not see you smile again, and he would never take another picture of it. He had forfeited that privilege. 

You saw him hesitate. The flash came a moment later. Your client thanked you for your hard work — shaking your hand with both of theirs, praising your skill as a phenomenal lawyer — and assured you they would turn to you if they ever needed legal advice in the future. They turned to Alex, who was transfixed by the bricks of the sidewalk. 

“Right, listen,” they said, checking their phone, “I have a few things I need to do. Just send me the pictures when you’re done editing them, alright? And pass them back to the states, they’ll want to distribute them” — their phone rang — ”just enjoy London for as long as you can. The flight goes on Thursday, so entertain yourself until then. You’re on vacation. Hello—?”

He nodded, but your client hardly paid him any attention as he walked away, already submerged in a new conversation. 

Alex looked miserable and lost, standing in front of the court with his camera hanging around his neck and his eyes still averted. You could see dark bags adorning them and wondered faintly how much of his tousled hair was that way on purpose. He looked wrecked and exhausted, the polar opposite of your pristine and kempt appearance.

“So,” he began shakily, finally daring to look you in the eyes, “How have you been? I see you are a quite successful lawyer now. Congratulations. I’m happy for you.”

The burning anger boiling inside you at his words nearly made you snarl, and it was only through sheer force of your iron will that you kept your expression entirely neutral. “Pardon?” you asked, raising your eyebrow unimpressed, “Is there anything I can do for you? I don’t mean to be rude but” — you checked your watch — “I am rather busy.”

His small smile dropped immediately. Hurt and heartbreak were visible in his eyes only an instant before annoyance replaced them. “Oh, wow,” he said disdainfully, his mouth twisting into a snarl, “That’s how it is between us now, I see. Well, I don’t mean to take up any of your oh-so-precious time, oh grand advocate! Do you sign your emails with ‘Esq.’, too? You’re so pretentious!”

You blinked at him. “Excuse me?” you said, unable to suppress an incredulous laugh, “Who the hell do you think you are, Alex? This is— honestly, I don’t know what I expected from you. What makes you think I want to make conversation with you after you threw me out of your life like a piece of trash? I mean, ‘you there’? Are you serious? What, are you afraid to say my name? Do you not want your famous clients to know we were acquainted?” You scoffed, shaking your head. 

When had the two of you turned into this? It felt like there were so many things left unsaid, so much hurt you never addressed, so many issues you never got the chance to work through because he called it quits. It was no wonder you blew up in each other’s faces when there was still so much left unsaid and neither one of you knew how to say it. 

That was the past, however. That was before he left. Now, there was no reason to dig it up and try your hand at reconciliation, especially since both of you were still wounded by what had happened. You had moved on without him. He had done the same.

“Well, it does not matter,” you said, fixing your collar and looking at the sky turning dark, “I have nothing to say to you. Have a pleasant evening and a safe flight back to the States.” Giving him a last polite nod, you began to walk towards your office at the law firm you were part of. It was only about five minutes away from the court.

The sharp intake of breath behind you hardly registered before Alex's hand was on your arm, stopping you in your tracks. “Please, don’t go,” he said hastily, his voice so small it genuinely gave you pause. He looked at you with pleading wet eyes, his mouth slightly agape as if he was searching for words that would not come to him. “Please,” he said again, desperation making his voice break.

“Alex?” you asked, frowning in confusion. You took his hands in your own and found them still trembling. Worry began stirring in your chest, and your heart started aching as you saw the first tears spill from Alex's eyes. “Hey, what’s going on?”

He ducked his head again, biting his lip to keep from sobbing. “I—” he choked, “I— God, I can’t— Please, don’t leave me alone. I miss you terribly, it feels like a part of myself is just gone and I don’t— I can’t, anymore—” 

You dropped your briefcase, pulling him into a tight embrace. Alex buried his head into your shoulder, taking shaky breaths and staining your jacket with tears. He was trembling in your arms. “Where are you staying?” you asked, squeezing him tighter.

“Mayfair,” he rasped.

“Alright,” you answered, treading your fingers through his hair to make him look at you, “That’s on the other end of town. My place is closer. Come on.”

originally, this blog was just going to be about my rehabilitation center, but interacting with other people was just too fun! plus i suck at keeping my mouth shut.

sooo about me, i guess! after winning the sinnoh championship, i got my pokemon science degree and "retired" to rehabilitate pokemon for a living on a private island off the coast of sinnoh, i nurse abandoned or injured pokemon back to health and help them return to the wild or find their forever homes 💜 hmu if you ever wanna adopt somn!

i love infodumping about pokemon facts. please ask me how to take care of pokemon ill love you forever.

Hi, Steph!

I can now sit down and participate in your event! First, congrats on 100 followers! I've enjoyed not only getting to know you (and Loid) more but have thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. I can't wait to see what you do in the future!

I'm also super excited to participate, especially with your taste in media! I really do admire how you intertwine your own selfship with relevant songs and media.

Anyway, onto the event:

My Selfship is with Kyojuro Rengoku (no one is surprised). Our dynamic: What can't I say about the one man that has captured my heart like no other? Well, for me it was love at first sight. I was smitten upon meeting him, and then when he spoke, I knew I was a goner. I blush when he talks and sometimes find concentrating hard during Hashira meetings because even a simple glance at him sends me spiraling. For Kyojuro, he was intrigued by me and also felt that initial spark. However, because of his commitment to eradicating demons, it wasn't something he was actively pursuing. But I'm nothing but persistent. Eventually, after a confession that was either brought upon a tense situation that made me feel the urgency of needing to confess or as something as unserious as flirting with him and finally asking him to take me out, we finally began to court one another while in the Corp. We are that couple that is painfully in love--like stare into each others eyes while at the table without needing to share a single syllable to communicate. To me, he's a pillar of strength and safety as he helps me be less anxious about our line of work and I shower him with all the love, attention and affection he could ever ask for. Smiiten.

I adore him so much that I can confidently say I will be getting a tattoo dedicated to him somewhere on my body. Look at him. He's just so *banshee scream*

Being a Demon Slayer means that you have to live every day to the fullest. At any given moment, you could go on a mission and then it’s over in an instant. You give your life to protect those who aren’t able to do it themselves.

It is possible that being a Demon Slayer clouds the opportunities to enjoy life to the best of your ability. There can be so much darkness and danger, that it makes it seem that finding love isn’t attainable. That is until that faithful Hashira meeting. You knew the moment you saw him, he would be yours. It is often said when you know, you know. Despite being a Hashira, you were still human; humans need and crave to love and be loved. 

You respected Kyojuro, but beneath that, you saw that he was kind, patient, and pure of heart. Not to mention, he made your heart beat like a hammer every time that you saw him. His enthusiasm was infectious, which made you fall even more head over heels. You wanted him to be yours, and you wanted to belong to him. He was stubborn in that he didn’t see this working; being a Demon Slayer required focus and he couldn’t have any distractions, that is, until that night.

Both of you were on patrol and ran into a headstrong demon. This particular demon didn’t want to lose to the likes of you and insisted on taking both of you with it. You didn’t need Kyojuro’s help, but there was something that snapped in him. He realized this could be the moment that everything could be over in an instant. He didn’t want to see you go, he was terrified of the idea of not having you there. There is no one out there who could replace you. With one final blow, the demon was destroyed. There was nothing left, but the tension in the air. Even the wind couldn’t cut through this tension. He knelt and lunged forward to cup your face, “Are you alright?” Your heart felt like it was going to burst out of your chest, but all you could do was nod. This was the moment that changed everything. 

If you’re meant to live every moment like it’s your last, shouldn’t he also allow himself to explore love? It’s not just about giving, but also about receiving. He had been blinded by his duty to not pursue love with you. He didn’t want to waste another moment with you. Each moment he had with you, he’d express his affection with a touch; whether it was an embrace or a kiss, he made sure it always was everlasting for the both of you. You never gave up an opportunity to express your love for him either. You knew from the moment you saw him that he was meant to be yours. You wanted to hold him close and let him know that you wanted to spend your lifetime with him. If tomorrow were to be the end, you know that you will find him again in the next lifetime, and the time after that. He would do the same for you, and he thanks his lucky stars that he will get to experience that with no one else. You are the sun and he looks forward to seeing it rise every morning.

Logistics of Moving Off Tumblr

With Status Update 13 now complete, I'm following through on what I said before. Scene 14 and onwards will no longer be concurrently updated on Tumblr. All future live updates will instead go on the official IWSY website, and you can find the current scene under the Table of Contents.

I haven't set comments up yet, but I will get on that within the next week; I do have some code on how to implement one, but I have a lot of backend work to sort out before I'm confident about this being any sort of long term solution. If by the end of the week I haven't implemented the comment box on the current scene, you can continue to send in actions through this blog, which will stay up, or you can join the official IWSY Discord server to send your actions there. Functionally, very little should change except the fact that things aren't being live updated over here anymore. The AO3 version will receive no changes.

Additionally, this blog will likely become more of an ask blog tied to IWSY. Plot relevant asks will be marked as such, but since this is no longer being used as the gameplay interface, there's less of a need to keep things delineated. All prior rules stated still apply, don't be unpleasant etc, but honestly the shit yall did on their birthday was hilarious, so why not lmao. Would still appreciate actions being headed by a > sign so it's easier to tell who's playing and who's just sending in asks.

If you've already looked at the site, you might have noticed that the character files tab has a lot of information and also some art (drawn by Viridian!) that hasn't ever been mentioned on Tumblr. Plans to expand that have been made, I just need to find time to write stuff. Expect other additional info like that to pop up on the site, because it gives me far more control over what I display and how I display it, so if you needed extra prompting to go check that out, this is it, wink wink.

A lot of things are in flux right now, but I sincerely hope you enjoy the story enough to stick with me. If not, thank you for sticking around for as long as you did. I'm deeply grateful I've had the chance to write this story at all through all the changes its made. I'm definitely going to keep writing it, it just will look a little different from what I initially imagined, but it's for the better. All of this means so much to me.

Anyway. If no one sends asks in, this will be the last post on this blog for a long while most likely. Been nice talking to you all.
