as for protocol style headcanons.

alice wears a lot of sweaters and miniskirts, but switches it up constantly to keep everybody on their toes. she's also big on fishnet gloves and stockings.

sam wears the comfiest sweaters in the world. several sizes too big, inticate patterns on every one of them, i get jealous just thinking about how good all of his sweaters are.

gwen wears basically anything that fits both the descriptors of "formal" and "visibly expensive"

colin wears whatever his hand pulls out when he reaches into the closet. and i mean this affectionately and in a manner that communicates he is just like me fr

celia wears a lot of flannels. just a lot of flannels. she has one of each existing color.

lena wears one (1) specific cheap, ill-fitting grey suit jacket and pants, a shirt that probably used to be white, striped socks, and suit shoes every single day. same outfit every single day.

AU where Bakugou isn’t invited into the OfA secret. He finds out about All Might’s secret quirk the same time 1-A does, Izuku’s letter.

Oh yeah see that's just the version that exists in my head so might be hard to think of hc for but I'll try

1- the meetings get more dadmighty. The favoritism is obvious and so is the attempt at secrecy. It drives Bakugou slightly crazy because he KNOWS Izuku isn't All Might's kid, but it's got to be something! His best guess is that Izuku had a latent strength quirk and All Might somehow recognized this during the sludge incident, because his is similar. Then he stayed in contact because the nerd was so helpless to figure out his own quirk, and the favoritism is just the result of knowing him longer. For a while he wonders that if Izuku wasn't there, that Bakugou might have had that attention, but that thought kinda fades

2- without Bakugou to yell and chase them off, some students like Kirishima and Ojiro straight up do not notice the favoritism. Like yeah that's just All Might man, don't know what to tell you. By contrast, Kaminari does notice more and is convinced that Izuku is some attempt at cloning All Might. He thinks after Black Whip that Izuku is some science project All Might freed and is protecting. He tells only Jiro this, and she does know what's going on but just tells him he's wrong. Some start looking nervously at the Nomu, but trust Izuku and All Might enough to not question it, and Todoroki loudly talking about his two quirks is enough to quiet those fears for everyone but Aoyama.

3- without Bakugou there making certain comments about the past users, All Might is a little more willing to pose possible theories to Izuku with less evidence than canon, though with plenty of caveats. This includes his confusion about the Fourth user: he died of old age too young, but All Might just doesn't know if it's because he was hit with an unrelated quirk, or if it was an effect of OfA for anyone with a quirk, or if it was a specific genetic problem in Fourth that only some people would have but would be hard to predict. They don't know, and they can't know! The information just doesn't exist. Izuku does not criticize this lack of information, but says they'll have to error towards caution: he'll be the last user. This leads All Might to treasure their meetings and the records he can find even more.

4- when All Might and Izuku ask Uraraka to train more with zero g, they do discuss telling her more. In the end, don't mention OfA, but they do say that they've been doing a lot of research on the weird happenings with his quirk and suspect his next evolution might involve that. She mentally swears to never tell Kaminari his conspiracy theory she overheard might be true, and helps them out.

5- when Izuku leaves them all the notes, it hurts a bit to suddenly know and also know they weren't trusted, but Uraraka points out how terrifying Kamino was, and All Might at least did have the duty to prevent his students from potentially becoming more targets for what they know. Bakugou disagrees- it was Izuku's secrecy, not All Might's. And Izuku's secrecy is in part because he couldn't trust his first friend, so why these new ones he hasn't known as long? Bakugou includes that in his apology during the class rescue mission.

And THEN I am reminded of that tumblr poll that was floating around, recreating Orpheus walk out of the Underworld and how, in that poll, he managed to not turn around - she got out!!

And THEN THEN I just get so overwhelmed by the cyclical nature of it all, and my own love for chthonic tales and folklore

The world is full of stories of someone braving the underworld for their loved one, why should this retelling stick to the pattern? Why can't it be a love letter to the act of braving the Unknown come hell or high water.

Oh, and also wouldn't it be cool if Dimple could act as a sort of 'Virgil guide figure' in some capacity ...don't know how, at least for now (oh shit Im having a realizing while responding to your message) but that could be a neat way to also explore Dimple origin HCs hmmm more thoughts to marinate on lol

PART ONE: Abnegation (The Selfless)

(A/N: I put some info from the wiki fandom for people who haven't read the books or watched the films.)

Abnegation is the faction that values the needs of others above the needs of oneself. Their core belief is 'Them before I.' Members of Abnegation take over the public services in the city. Though Abnegation can be selfless, a flaw of theirs is the fact that they are stifling. This is where they get their nickname, Stiffs. 

The dystopian society is ruled by a council of fifty people, composed entirely of representatives from Abnegation, as their faction is the most incorruptible due to their commitment to selflessness. Abnegation's colour is grey. Their style of dress is conservative, loose-fitting light grey clothing so as not to call attention to themselves. The only accessory they are allowed to wear is a plain watch. Also, as the people of Abnegation prefer not to show skin, revealing clothes are never worn.

The Abnegation was the faction that valued helping others before their own self. They helped the Factionless by giving food and clothing, which the other factions didn't. The people in these factions were not able to look into the mirror too long, since they didn't want to be too selfish and think of themselves. This sometimes causes trouble between the factions.

I want to see more guild reactions to SG so bad, like the looks and pity must hurt them so much. Being seen as the weakest team in the guild and constantly having to be protected, and sure yeah definitely it leads them to try and become stronger and prove everyone wrong but GOD it had to feel horrible.

ambulatory wheelchair user!! he can stand and walk when he needs to but it’s hard and painful and So much easier if he hangs out in his chair.

that being said; the chair is tricked the fuck out and could reasonably double as a tank

he’s one of those godly parents who actually puts in an effort when it comes to his kids; does periodic visits where he checks in and wishes happy birthday, gives really cool gifts, advice on projects, etc. his kids have his number if they want it! sometimes cabin 9 will pile into his van and do field trips.

he and aphrodite are actually in love!! they have an open relationship but they do actually love and respect each other. i like to think that they both are good at seeing past each other’s surfaces- she sees how beautiful his mind is, he see’s how she’s so much more than a pretty face, etc. eros is their bio kid! his parents are both passionate people and his domain makes sense

eros is ALSO the weird half brother to cabin 9 and 10 and does periodically visit w them

Yesterday I went through some of my old headcanons re: Alain and Mairin (there were way more than I thought) and thought that I could make a compilation post just for fun. Also, some of my hc:s have definitely changed since then. But here we go:

My old future career hc for Alain was that he’d become a Pokémon doctor, like Brock. But while I did have certain reasons for that hc, after seeing the newest JN episode I decided to change things up a bit. We found out that Alain is still assisting Sycamore in his research (good) while he’s still pretty serious about battling at the same time (say what you want about that battle but he has to have been training to make it all the way to M8). So, maybe the most logical conclusion is that eventually the battling part becomes less important to him (after all, he doesn’t /need/ to become the strongest anymore) with time while he becomes more invested in doing research on mega evolution. There’s still much they don’t know about it yet so it keeps him curious. Eventually he becomes a professor who works alongside Sycamore (and once Sycamore retires, he takes over, but that won’t happen in a long while).

When it comes to battling, Alain does get an offer to challenge the E4 and Diantha after the dust from the TF incident starts finally settling down, but he declines. He thinks it’s still too soon, the guilt is still pressing him a bit (even though Sycamore has made him go to therapy so he is doing much better already), and he feels he is not ready for the responsibility that comes with being a regional champion yet. However, maybe a year or two after the Kalos league victory he hears about the Pokémon world championships while on a work trip to Alola (I may be writing a fic about this :P). After some encouraging from various people and hearing that the current champion also has a Charizard, he starts feeling the old spark for battling return. By that time he has also found new mega and keystones for him and Charizard and he wants to see if they are still as powerful as they used to be. After the M8 tournament he does still keep training (he never really gives up on the dream to beat Leon) but as years go by winning does become less important to him as he understands that there are more important things in life.

As for Mairin, remember how she says in TSME that she wants to learn to mega evolve? Well, she will totally stick to her word. For a couple of years she will travel with Alain, assisting Sycamore in his research, but eventually she decides it’s time for her to go on a journey on her own. Not because she doesn’t want to travel with Alain (or the other way around) but because she feels Alain will forever be her crutch if she doesn’t do it and she won’t learn to be an independent trainer. 

So, for several years she travels on her own (making new friends and catching new mons) through different regions, taking on the gym challenges, and succeeding in varying results. Her first league tournament goes pretty much like Ash’s, she gets into top 16 but becomes a little too confident and loses her final battle quite badly. But she does develop and by the time she’s back in Kalos she has gotten ‘famous’ for being a grass type user who seems kinda clumsy and scatterbrained but is a force to be reckoned with in a battle. She even made it to top 4 in Sinnoh, losing to the person who then won the tournament. Back in Kalos (at this point she’s maybe around 16) she gets asked if she’d like to take over as the gym leader in Coumarine City, which coincidentally is where her grandfather Ramos used to lead. She accepts.

She’s a gym leader for a couple of years until she hears that Bonnie (who has had about a million different projects meanwhile) is about to set off for her gym challenge. Since Mairin has yet to participate in the Kalos league, she joins her and they become rivals. The two face each other in the Kalos league finals and Bonnie ends up winning, using her Puni-chan. At this point Mairin has also learned to mega evolve (she has a mega Venusaur. There’s a chance that Alain and Mairin have also gotten a hint about mega Chesnaught’s existence but… that’s a thought I still need to develop) so her Venusaur does put up a good fight but the Zygarde is just too strong. After the tournament Mairin returns to her gym (earning a reputation as one of the toughest gym leaders in the region) while doing what she can to help Alain and Sycamore with their research.

Some years later, when Mairin is already well into her twenties and Bonnie is now the Kalos region champion (I don’t make these rules), she gets an opportunity to battle the E4 because they are searching for a new member as Wikstrom is retiring. She succeeds well enough (beating at least 2/3 of them) and so she becomes an E4 member.

Mairin does also have a talent for art and flower tending and those are some of her favorite things to do in her free time. As a matter of fact, I HC that Alain and Mairin make a book about mega evolution together, with Mairin illustrating the book, and it becomes very successful. Alain’s way of describing things is very ‘matter-of-fact’ but Mairin’s fun additions and stories about their trips makes the book interesting even for those who are not interested in science (important note: Mairin doesn’t write her commentary alone, she makes Sycamore&Alain double check everything because of her dyslexia).

Um, I do have plenty of other hc:s about these two as well, f. ex. about their pasts and the non career things but... I’m gonna leave that for another time. I hope someone managed to read through this unnecessarily long post tho 😂

He has some kinda form of adhd and anxiety disorder (sorry im projecting because he's my comfort character damn it!) Either way he aint neurotypical tho he probably may seem to mask it. Look say what you want i love these hcs so if you get mad. Too bad.

He is very ticklish. He will get you back tho if you try to tickle him. So be prepared.

He is better at studying/working from home or at a comfortable spot than in a crowded room/work area. Too many distractions. He would want to talk instead of work.

He has a signed prince shirt(given to him by you/reader or his momma either way he has it) he only wears it to bed. Its a special shirt. Never eats with it. Or goes out in it.

He is a sucker for romance. Tho he wants to romance you. You romancing him back is nice too. Tho he might be caught off guard at first. He welcomes it.

He is a ball of energy. While he can be fun loving n chill hanging out with his friends. At home. He is a cuddle bug. And also very very very hyper at times,mostly when he talks about his interests,But especially with you. He just has a lot of love to give ok?

Sad hc time. Visits his grandfather's grave/room. Sometimes he leaves flowers or his fave treats. If your with him he feels aa but better. But in the beginning,before he met you. He cried a lot and often blamed himself for his death. Tho many reassured him that it wasn't his fault. He still feels that slight sting from time to time. But he got better over time. Especially now with you being here for him.

He loooooves to cook for you. Tho he isn't the greatest chef. He finds it cute when couples cook together. Plus its a lot of fun to him. Its simple meals. Meals momma tomoko taught him to make just in case she couldn't cook after work or she was too tired.

Speaking of which. He actually has helped his mom a lot. Its hard to raise a child on your own for the most part. Tho his grandfather helped. It still was difficult. So she taught josuke how to do basic chores and eventually cooking when he got old enough. (This should be common sense to know that he had to do this. But its left out sometimes of domestic fics. So i kinda like seeing these things)

His favorite thing to make is breakfast for you. Sometimes in bed.

Crazy diamond, his stand. Loves to help you with things. Either fixing anything broken. Healing kisses. Or sometimes just watching you do things.

He's chatty just like his user but all you hear is a bunch of doras. But its still cute none the less.

Josuke full grown. I hc to be around the same height as his father.

Tokyo-Kyoto Goodwill Event HCs!

Clan kids have these things where they were forced to associate with each other in order to train them for when they become Heads of their respective clans.

They are, after all, will govern and occupy the seats the High Elders will leave for them.

At the very young age, Mizuki had already felt a great aversion with the young heir candidate, Naoya of Zen’in clan. If Heir Satoru of the Gojo clan is the definition of obnoxiousness, heir candidate Naoya is the definition of misogynistic pain in the ass.

And as the heiress of the noble Yukimura Clan, Mizuki has been raised having seven values instilled upon her person.

At the early age, she had been taught to be courageous and honest, to uphold honor at all times, to be of loyal to self, family, and others, to seek justice above all, to be respectful and kind to all, no matter how great or small a person can be.

Despite these seven virtues her family values the most, she was raised to think for herself. That she doesn’t have to follow the majority’s beliefs if she thinks it isn’t what she believes in.

Which is a good thing because, she couldn’t- for the life of her, manage to stay polite nor respectful for the heir candidate of the clan. And while their families are cordial to each other, she knew Naoya will never uphold this mutual respect once he becomes the head and so she is determined to avoid him at all cost.

How thankful she was when she enrolled in Tokyo Metropolitan. She rather would have Satoru ignoring her for the entirety of their school years rather than Naoya’s unsolicited remarks about her status as Heiress and not as Heir Candidate.

In her celebration, she had forgotten one tiny detail: the Goodwill Event.

And surprise, surprise… she’s battling Naoya during the individual battles, much to her dismay- and much to Satoru’s amusement.

“Ah can you imagine putting the fucker in his place?” “He’s gonna pummel his fists into my skull, I can almost feel it.” “Nonsense! You’re faster than him, Shizuki! You’re gonna beat that fucker to the ground and I can’t wait to film it all!”

It was quite a scene- Mizuki and Naoya are both sorcerers who uses speed as their cursed techniques.

With Naoya, he is fast and has the ability to trap objects into frames while Mizuki has the ability to manipulate time as she wishes.

Not to mention, both were trained and were subjected to intense fighting discipline at a very young age.

The fight itself, was quite a blur to the people who are speculating however, with Satoru’s camera- they were able to see how things unfold.

Naoya relies more on his strength and agility while Mizuki relies on tactics and careful planning despite the unnatural speed she displays. The former goes for offensive fighting while the latter uses defensive methods.

“This fight will end in a draw.” “Don’t be too sure about that, Sugu.” “She’s playing it safe-” “No, she’s waiting to strike. My baby will win this thing, Sugu. And she’s gonna win so hard that fucker won’t be able to show his face for years.”

And just as Satoru left that remark, she did indeed struck at the least way expected, countering Naoya’s Projection technique (just as he was about to hit her head, her prediction almost coming true) with her own Blink, allowing her to take one millisecond back before fast forwarding to a time set by the user- in her case, ten seconds from her original time which requires a huge feat of power.

Tokyo Metropolitan finally won the Goodwill event that year. (The event ending with Satoru placing a huge kiss on Mizuki’s forehead, hoisting her up for the entire school to cheer for)

And just as Satoru predicted, Naoya hadn’t attended the annual Heirs meeting… despite the two vacant chairs that time.

Diluc and Aether: Reassurance HCs

Since Aether started his journey to find his sister, he’s met so many different people and so many things have occurred that he never had the time to rest and be with his thoughts. But after helping Albedo with his experiment and obtaining the festering desire sword, things seemed to have calmed down. The land of Inazuma was still closed off until he could find a way inside the region but until then, it’s just been him, Paimon, and Diluc. Albedo and Sucrose had left to conduct more research in their lab back in Mondstadt leaving the three of them to camp out for the night. Aether was developing a very deep appreciation for the pyro user since they had no reliable way to light torches without freezing to death. 

But now that everything was settled and the world moved on, Aether was left at a bit of a standstill. He was grateful for the temporary break but it also let him think. How was Lumine doing? Was she safe? Where was she now and would they ever reunite? He hoped that, where she was, she was doing okay. 

He might make jokes about Paimon being his emergency food but he really was grateful she was here. It used to only be him and his twin, traveling throughout the universe until that Unknown God had separated them and he found himself here on Teyvat. Even now he can still feel the nightmares crawl behind his back, waiting for him to sleep before striking. 

Aether is snapped out of his thoughts when he feels a heavy coat rest on his shoulders, turning to see Diluc looking at him in concern. At least, that’s what Aether thinks is concern. Diluc’s range of emotions is limited to say the least but Aether smiles thankfully as he pulls the warm coat in further. He’s come to learn that Diluc isn’t one for talking and prefers to show his worry through actions. Diluc never pushes for Aether to talk, something he’s grateful for since Paimon can get a bit nosy, but he really needs an outlet right now.

It’s silent between the two before Aether let’s his emotions pour out, the nightmares of his sister walking away from him, that he’s unable to catch up to her no matter how fast he runs, being told by Lumine that he was too late. He wasn’t even sure what he was too late for. Diluc remains quiet as he listens along but Aether can’t help but feel that Diluc understands. That he’s been through the same situation and knows what Aether is going through. As sad as that seems, it’s comforting knowing he isn’t alone. Aether breathes heavily as he finishes his troubles, before bringing his knees up to his chest and cradles his head between his knees. He can hear Diluc shuffle a bit before he feels a warm hand being placed on his shoulder. Something to stabilize him and let him know he’s not alone. 

“I wonder how she’s doing right now...” Aether sighed as he stared down at his hands. It felt nice to get this off his chest but now that he did all he could feel was loneliness. No matter how many fights or pranks he had with her, he really really missed Lumine. He hoped that she was alright and that she was safe. Was she looking for him too? Once again, he’s snapped out of his sad thoughts when he feels Diluc reach over and pull his coat closer to Aether’s body and laying a hand on his head so he could place it on his shoulder. Aether hmms contently as he snuggles closer to Diluc’s warmth. It must be convenient to have a pyro vision, you can be your own personal heater.

“Aether, look at me,” Diluc whispered as Aether shifts his eyes to meet Diluc’s, “I’m sure she’s strong and capable if I have anything to base on her brother. Have faith in her like she would in you. Thoughts like those will only cripple you, instead use that frustration to your advantage and conquer your fears. I’m here with you. We will find her together.”

“Diluc...” Aether trails off. He never really took Diluc as one for comforting words but when Diluc offers a small but kind smile. He can’t help but smile back. He was right, there was no use in letting those fears get the best of him until he fulfilled his goal and reunited with Lumine. His eyes shine more determined as he nods to reassure himself, “Yeah...Yeah, you’re right. Thanks Diluc.”.

 “Of course,” Diluc nods as he observes Aether. He managed to pull him out of his loneliness, just for a bit, but Diluc knows perfectly well that it doesn’t last for long. “Tell me about your sister, was she as daring as you?” 

Aether laughs as he reminisces to Diluc about the weird antics he and his sister got up to. From doing rock-paper-scissors to decide who would run errands while the other would slack off. To when Lumine proclaimed she was the oldest and strongest between the two, trying to show him new techniques and tricks while he would pretend he hadn’t seen her and was distracted by a butterfly. Even to when they accidently pranked a high ranking official and almost started a war before quickly dipping out of sight once the situation was cleared up. 

“From the sound of things, you both seemed to be trouble makers,” Diluc chuckled along with Aether laugh before he gave a small yawn. It was getting pretty late, “Rest Aether, we can continue our search tomorrow.” 

“Mm, okay. Good night Diluc,” Aether smiles, after all this talking and finally getting the heavy burden off his chest he was getting pretty tired. He yawns once more as he leans more into Diluc’s side before slipping into sleep. This was nice, hearing the fire crackle, the comforting arm around him, the heavy coat that shielded him. It felt safe. That night, whenever he felt those same nightmares creep up, they are quickly chased away by red flames.

Classes start today and I already want to commit sleep. I’m already getting emails from my profs about due dates and we haven’t even talked about the first project. Why do I have a graded discussion let me live a bit.

Istg HCs to me are just fics without dialogue. Because I suck at dialogue lol. Not sure if I’m up to write another full fic today since I kinda want to enjoy my break while it’s still here [cough unless you wanna commission imjustsaying].

Eternal Empire After Effects

In addition to that post I made a while back about how your characters deal with either the boost in Force sensitivity or the brand new sensitivity for your smugglers/troopers/agents/bounty hunters. I want to talk about the general fucked up-ness that the Commander has to deal with post-KotET.

Like DAMN. Bare minimum, they’ve had to deal with carbonite poisoning, the general mind games of Valkorian, and then they had their mind literally broken in the last chapter. At worst, they get all that, plus taking a lightsaber to the gut. To say nothing of having to fight an impossible war for a little over a year straight with everyone’s hopes and dreams riding around on their shoulders.

A lot of the posts I’ve seen about other people’s ocs has some form of lingering effects from everything. And I just want to talk about it for a minute, cause I live for filling in the scenes we don’t see. [Take this with a grain of salt, as I’ve never played a dark side character, so my perspective will be skewed.]

Long term physical effects:

They were poisoned slowly over the course of 5 years, you can’t tell me that one little dart thing can fix that, at least not right away. This could take the form of lingering nausea, migraines, dizziness. The symptoms of heavy metal poisoning would fit well here. And I hc my consular as having some permanent nerve pain from it.

The stab on Asylum is absolute bullshit in the game. Valkorian or no, there’s no way they’d be walking out. I think I posted a pic I took before, but the stab is easily close enough for the heat transfer to damage the spine. Bone cracks and warps with heat, so you can see the problem there. The wound is almost dead on for where the stomach sits and the lungs, liver, kidney, and intestines are all in range to get badly burnt (yeah I know, alien anatomy might be different, but we’re assuming its mostly the same).

We’ve seen what a lightsaber can do to a blast door in The Phantom Menace, take that and apply it to a person, and Arcann held that blade there a loooong time.

Yes, Valkorian saves them, but I think of it more as he kept them from dying, and not, he completely stopped the blade from cooking them from the inside out. So the three days Lana mentioned are horseshit. The Gravestone’s tiny ass med-bay is absolutely not equipped to handle an injury like this.

I always figured a better way was Valkorian kept them alive long enough for Lana to threaten her way onto an appropriate station and made the doctors fix them. Even so, getting what amounts to several organ transplants, implants to bypass possible spinal chord damage, replacement ribs and vertebra, and a whole lot of skin and muscle grafts will leave your Commander pretty messed up, even with magical Star Wars tech and Force magic. And their allotted recovery time seems to be the length of the base’s construction on Odessen, so there’s no way in hell they’re really done healing by the time they have to go back out into battle.

Specific injuries aside, a year is a long time to fight more or less constantly. At least during the base game you sort of had rests between chapters. They’re gonna rack up an impressive list of injuries, alongside wear and tear like their knees and feet having trouble from the constant running and jumping. And their elbows and shoulders will break down from hours upon hours of absorbing the recoil of a gun or the constant flurry and clash of a lightsaber.

Long term mental effects:

As ugly as the physical stuff is, the mental effects are just as bad. Depending on what class they are, having the goddamn Sith Emperor riding shotgun in their head will fuck them up big time.

Classes who faced off with him more-or-less directly, like the Knight, Consular, and Warrior, are going to have the worst time of it because they KNOW what this sort of thing leads to. The warrior has seen the dead eyed puppet on Voss and knows that could be them soon. The consular had to deal with the emperors children and the First Son. They’ve seen a prominent and powerful Jedi master absolutely crumple under the power of the emperor and he wasn’t even IN there. And Knights have already experienced the emperor’s control first hand.

Not to say the others won’t have trouble with it, it’s just that the reasons will be a little less direct. The smuggler and bounty hunter are used to being their own people, not tied down to anything or accountable to anyone, and now there’s the threat that everything they have will be taken from them and there’s no amount of sneaking or shooting that will save them. Troopers built up their command from basically nothing and now they’re Republic heroes, but Valkorian now threatens the lives of everyone they’ve sworn to protect. The agent is easy, they’ve suffered mind control before, they’ve been slaves in their own body, and they’re terrified of it happening again. And inquisitors were literal slaves who clawed their way to the top, and they’d sooner die than be a slave again.

So just having that asshole there means constant stress for the whole of KotFE and KotET. Insomnia must be a given. How do you know you’ll wake up as YOU? That Valkorian won’t hollow you out in your sleep and walk around in your skin the next day? And for the Knight, Agent, and Inquisitor, I’d think panic attacks are probably a thing, even if they don’t let anyone see it.

The stab will definitely cause some trauma. Pretty sure any wound that gruesome would. And if they didn’t have nightmares before, they sure do now and I’m willing to bet that they might shy away from lightsabers for a while, which leaves an interesting dilemma considering they’re in a war with Force-users, and some of them are Force-users themselves.

Fighting a guerrilla war with an absurdly powerful adversary has to be incredibly taxing, especially for classes who’ve never had to command anything. Smugglers and Bounty Hunters are very screwed here, assuming they care about running the Alliance well. And the burden of saving the galaxy is a heavy one. I can definitely see classes who have saved the galaxy multiple times to be getting increasing bitter about always having to be the one to clean up the messes. Why are THEY the ones who always have to suffer? Why isn’t there ever a hero to save THEM when they need it?!

Agents get their own little special bit here with the bullshit that is Vaylin’s conditioning. They know exactly the kind of misery she’s going through, the powerlessness that one single phrase or word causes. I can understand that the writers couldn’t figure out or bother with a whole separate scene of the agent refusing to use the conditioning, cause then they’d have to figure out how to not have Vaylin murder them on the spot. But goddamn we could’ve at least seen them struggle with it! Maybe an extra few lines of them pleading with Vaylin because they desperately don’t want to use her control phrase. Ugh, at least behind the scenes an agent can have a break down about how they’ve become exactly like the intelligence officers who’d decided that they were too much of a liability to go without a leash they could pull. And now they’ve pulled an identical leash on Vaylin.

And then we have their mind being broken. That could be a post in and of itself. Valkorian came within a hair’s breadth of destroying them entirely, and they were so broken that they didn’t even know their own name. And in the space of 10 or so minutes, they scrape themselves together and fight a god. It’s very impressive (and I’ve got my own issues with that fight) but I don’t think you can pull yourself together that fast after being that messed up without some lingering issues.

Chronic insomnia and night terrors, full blown PTSD, panic disorders, severe anxiety; something THAT traumatic will absolutely leave marks.

And after that? They just keep going. Yeah, things calm down, but they’re still at the head of a very powerful faction now (if not ruling Zakuul), there’s no going back after this. And they’ve got a massive restoration project ahead of them as tensions continue to simmer between the Republic and Empire. The more dutiful characters must be near the end of their rope. There’s no rest, just the next fire to put out, and they continue to run themselves into the ground. And the more flighty characters are now forever shackled by the Alliance. There’s no flying off into the sunset for them. No more anonymity as a bounty hunter or smuggler. Their old life is over, whether the wanted it or not. And how can they really relax when there’s this many people looking at them for direction. They’ve become just like those asshole military leaders who they used to mock.

And for just about all of my characters, they hide it. No one can know that they’re falling apart at the seams. Either it’s about personal pride and acting unphased cause they’re just THAT good, or because they’re trying to be the leader the Alliance deserves and don’t want to disappoint or frighten them by showing just how badly they’re coping. Either way there will be a breaking point.

And even after it all comes out in the open, and they (hopefully) get the help they need. It’s never completely over. Chronic pain and fatigue, depression and anxiety, persistent insomnia; these things don’t just disappear, they’re an ongoing struggle that helps color their future actions.

I just… I really like considering things like this because it hits close to home. Seeing them struggle with some of the things I deal with makes them feel more like people. Cause god knows the writers aren’t gonna put this kind of stuff in there.

Miraculous and The Light (HC)

Ok, so. This HC is based on this idea. It’s a miraculous x dc crossover and one of the best ideas, I’ve read recently. I really liked it and this is why I’m forcing myself to write my ideas down. 

Before we start the HC, I need to clear some things. Marinette becomes the guardian in age of 13, the kwami are teaching her as good as they can. Luka has the snake miraculous, Chloé the bee (but new costume), Kagami the dragon (again new costume) and Adrien is Chat Noir. Alix has the bunny and Kim the ape miraculous. (The two are chaos and they smelled Lila’s bullshit before she came back the second time). They deal with Hawkmoth as good as they can and they do good. Until Lila does her shit again. She manipulates Alya, which leads also Nino to be one of her followers and since Adrien is his best friend, he starts to listen to Lila. He becomes obsessed with Ladybug and her identity. The team doesn’t really notice, since it’s subtle and slowly becoming worse. So, now let’s start with the HC.

The Team protects Paris, Marinette is the leader

The situation becomes worse, the akumas take longer to defeat

They try to contact the JL, but nobody listens

And Chat Noir comes lesser to the fights, claiming his privat life is stressfull

At first, everybody understands, but it doesn’t stop and Chat becomes like a bad behaved child/brat 

Lila causes another Hero Day, the Team almost looses. Chat Noir didn’t show up and the Team is angry. Chloé is ready to skin a cat

After the Hero Day, they accidentally reveal their idtities. Their group becomes closer, everybody can see, they work even better now. 

Chat is envy

And Tikki is angry. No, scratch that. She’s mad. This boy could’ve been such a good cat, and now this?! 

Since Plagg is her opposite, and she’s the one of Plagg, they keep each other in balance. And they aren’t in balance at all. She takes over Marinette (while she is Ladybug) and starts to rip Chat/Adrien in shreds

Whole Paris witness this and is terrified. Who knew Ladybug had such power? 

Chat tries to save his face/life/’hero’ persona, but since Marinette is the guardian, she stripps him of his Miraculous, while Tikki wipes out his memories. Adrien’s former friends are sad, but also glad, they have one problem less

But now. Since Tikki used her more of her powers, some people notice, such as Klarion. He’s the server of chaos, but keeps in balance with creation. And the two aren’t balanced at all.

He talks to the Light, and surprise, surprise. Ra’s al Ghul and Vendal Savage felt it too

They begin to search and are surprised, that so many miraculous are active. The Light digs deeper and Vendal is very close getting up and burn Paris down. And take Hawkmoth with it

The inner circle of the Light (Vendal Savage, Klarion, Ra’s al Ghul, Lex Luthor, Deathstroke (there are still more members, but I will explain shortly))

Now, their primar goal is not to take over the world, or make everyone ‘see the light’. That’s what the ‘lesser’ members think (the ones, who are not in the inner circle) They want to keep the balance in the world, keep ‘peace’. But they know, it can’t be always peace, with creation there comes always destruction (Tikki and Plagg are totally their inspiration and mentors or whatever you could call that) And for this, they don’t always do ‘good’ things, like heroes do

Bc of this, every hero, every other villian thinks, that the light is bad. It’s a very good cover and so they can hide their true plans. So, the inner circle sends Black Manta after the Young Justice (the season 2 happens here) and go to Paris. 

They find the miraculous users while fighting an amok and an akuma and are impressed. Clearly, most of them have no training and they hold themself formidable. 

The inner circle talks with the team, which is wary. But then the kwamis recognize them and the teenagers (probably 15?) are so glad, that they finally have help. Not the one they expected, but still help

Vendal was one the first guardian, a simple man and then blessed by Tikki and Plagg. He trained other guardians and miraculous users until he almost died

Ra’s al Ghul was once a dragon, but also used the cat miraculous. This is the reason, why he can use the lazarus pit and isn’t mad

Klarion knows about the kwamis, the first gods, often makes rituals and such stuff. But he never saw a miraculous before

Deathstroke knows about the miraculous, but never knew, what power they truly hold

Lex Luthor knew about them too

The team is offered a traditional training with the League and since they are all true holders, they will master it faster than anyone before. Vendal wants to train Marinette as the guardian, after she finished hers with Ra’s. Deathstroke will be their mentor and Klarion will teach them in magic. 

Lex takes them under his wing, teaching them about buisness, money, politics and manipulating

They train and fight Hawkmoth for two years. Sometimes, Vendal takes over as Chat Noir, sometimes Ra’s, to keep Marinette and Tikki balanced. But they need to find her true holder, which isn’t that easy, while they are still in training and fighting

The team is around 17/18, when they finally defeat Hawkmoth and Mayura. The major of Paris and the president of France tell the world finally the truth about the situation (world is shocked (especially when they hear, that the Justice League didn’t help))

Now, the heroes want to help, after Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Dr. Fate, as well Zatanna, kicked their asses for being dumb bitches. When Batman doesn’t stop (he’s an ass sometimes, but I don’t hate him) they threaten to leave the JL. He doesn’t belive it and suddendly he has 4 members less. 

The four go to Paris, even when there is a heroes ban. They offer their alliance, but keep their distance, which everyone is glad. 

Since Hawkmoth and his sidechick have been defeated, the Miraculous Team retires. Or so everybody thinks. 

They all leave Paris, letting their friends and family think they have a job/go on vacation (Kagami and Luka fake their death, Marinette too) 

Lila is smug, bc she thinks, she won, since Alix and Kim just leave and Chloé is a weeping mess

The six go to the League, where they learn new/more things and become the elite squad of Ra’s. 

(Ra’s is totally a proud parent, who shows, how much his kids are better than anyones. Well, as good as he can with his stoic face)

The six still use their miraculous, but have new costumes (darker colors, mostly black) 

And so life goes on, until the JL and the YJ attack the light. They take many hits, loose many bases and the first time, the heroes meet the squad

The six are just called ‘the squad’. They switch miraculous, so the heroes don’t make connections. 

(Marinette is White (rabbit), while Chloé is Red (dragon), Kagami is Brown (monkey), Alix is Blue (snake), Kim is Scarlett (ladybug), Luka is Black (cat)) Over their costumes, they wear a typical League uniform. 

They totally rip the heroes apart

Anyway. The JL and YJ are wary about the sqaud, they all know, they are deadly. Some think, even deadlier than Deathstroke. 

After the attack, the squad meets Lady Shiva and Talia al Ghul

And her new pet project

You already know it. Jason Todd

His mind is fucked up, he doesn’t remember much until this woman in red smiles at him and just hugs him? Girl, this is the league?! 

Jason is totally Marinette’s black cat. 

He’s suddenly being trained (can you imagine a confused Jason Todd, trained by Vendal, Klarion and the rest of the team? Bc I do) and partnered with Plagg, who absolutly loves his new holder. There is so much chaos in him, he even survived the pit!

The squad goes on mission, mostly to mess with the JL, who notice, there is a new member. And oh shit- he destroys everything. And there Superman curmbles to ash... (no worries, he’s brought back)

Jason isn’t trying to kill Bruce, well, he still fights against Batman, but he doesn’t want him dead (the heroes think, the squad tries to kill them)

Some years pass (I have no idea, what happens in season 3 (Young Justice) since I didn’t have the time to watch it) the miraculous slowly become balanced again and the team is doing great

Until Talia snitches Bruce (bc she’s a little bitch) that Jason is alive. Not only that, he’s a part of the squad. Ra’s personally tries to kill his daughter- bc no Talia! You can’t just go and tell secrets! (silently crusing in many languages about the balance and how his own daughter betrayes him) He’s so angry, that he disowns his daughter and claims 7 year old Damian as his heir.

Bruce tries to hunt Jason down, but no success

Marinette takes Damian under her wing and gives him the miraculous of the tiger (Damian is so proud, that he’s a true holder). She and Jason become somewhat his parents, just like the rest of the team

Alix and Kim are totally together, as well Cloé and Kagami, while Luka has a on/off relationship with Lady Shiva, who is the true holder to the fox miraculous

Talia attacks the league, when Damian is 10 and takes him to his father

Damian hides the miraculous and Roarr, but Alfred knows. He always knows. (Totally cliche, but he’s the true holder to the peacock)

Damian acts like a brat like in canon, but can be such a softy

But only with his true family

Jason moves to Gotham, becomes the Red Hood, while Marinette becomes Scarlett (his partner) 

The rest of the squad starts to recruit new holders and start to train them, often visited by Jason and Marinette

One tragic night, Batman fights against Red Hood, almost kills him, when Scarlett breaks his arm. Robin (Damian) comes to help, freezes, when he sees his family. He stops fighting, takes a deep breath and turns to his father.

Batman is confused, but then Robin says, that this is Jason, the second Robin and that he will not fight family

Batman lashes out, being an idiot, talking some nonsense about Jason being a criminal and suddenly Robin disapears. The big bat thinks, his kid went home 

Well, he does, but not the Manor. He follows Jason and Marinette and sleeps a night there. 

Then his father starts to search him (Damian) and finds him with Jason

Totally a fight there

Until Alfred comes and makes them to sit down and talk

Jason explains everything, telling Bruce, that the squad doesn’t exist anymore, bc of Talia.

He causally says, that Marinette is his girlfriend, that they somewhat adopted Damian, after Talia was banned.

Bruce tries to wrap his head around this, but slowly accept this new part of his family

It takes some time, but Jason (Red Hood) and Marinette (Scarlett) become a part of the Batfam

They lead the new Miraculous Team in secret, keep in contact with the inner circle of the light

This goes well, until Tim finds out. 

Bruce lashes out again, bc what the fuck- his own child and his wife (they married) are spying for the light?! He tought they destroyes that damned organisation

Damian runs with them

They go to Nanda Parbat, where they meet the new recruits. 

Now, every kwami has a true holder

Balance is perfect as it can be 

Two years later, Bruce still tries to find Damian, in the hope, he isn’t with his older brother and his wife

He still is

Then Ra’s has enough of this drama, talks with the inner circle of the light and the kwamis

Kidnaps the batfam

Explains everything

Like everything

Slowly the batfam understands

Bruce is so proud that two of his sons are true holders, one of them literally can control chaos

The batfam starts to help the inner circle of the light, the other members think, this heroes finally saw the light

I can totally see the lesser memebers dumbfounded faces, when the whole Batfam shows up

Vendal starts to explain

“Batman was trained under Ra’s al Ghul himself, Batwoman followed.”

“Nightwing was trained by Deathstroke.”

“Red Hood was trained by Lady Shiva, Deathstroke and Ra’s al Ghul and is a former member of the squad.”

“Scarlett was trained by myself, Ra’s al Ghul, Lady Shiva, Deathstroke and Batman. She was the leader of the squad.”

“Red Robin was trained, like all the other Robins, by Batman. Lady Shiva took him under his wing for some time.”

“Signal was trained by Batman, Red Hood and Scarlett.”

“Batgirl was trained under Batman, Nightwing and Scarlett.”

“Black Bat grew up in the League and is the daughter of Lady Shiva.”

“Robin is my grandson and the son of Batman. He was trained under Scarlett and Red Hood, when they still were in the squad.”

(Did I forget someone?)

Gaping villians

But when Vendal says, that Batman will be part of the inner circle, as well Red Hood and Scarlett. they loose their absolute shit. 

They fought the whole time with their allies??

Vendal then also says, that this will be the last meeting and they will all forget, that the Batfam is a part of the light

“Well... we can’t take risks, can’t we? We don’t want to repeat an incident with the Young Justice again... because of this, only the members of the inner circle will remember our prupose and the light itself.” 

Batman then says to the JL, that he will leave the League, since this is going nowhere

The Batfamily is now officially a hero group and more loved than the JL, bc they don’t destroy much in their fights and if they do, Bruce Wayne pays. They keep in the shadows, which means, no civilians hurt AND many villians retire, when they hear, that Batman will fully remain in Gotham. They don’t try anything, bc he always seems to know

Okay... this is much more, than I acutally wanted to write and in the end, it didn’t came out as I first thought. But I hope you still like it, bc I like this version better

And it’s in the middle of the night, so if there are any mistakes... I don’t care :)

(For @creativeprince, who wanted me to repost my RP headcanons for Jolyne’s mother. I’m currently on hiatus, not RP’ing her publicly. I know she can be a polarizing character, but unless you feel I’ve done something problematic, please don’t give me a hard time about my HC’s.)

Name: Dr. Marina Florence Kujo (neé Delfino)

Born: August 29th, 1970 (Virgo/Dog)

Ethnicity: White (Italian-American), born and raised in Florida

Religion: Raised Catholic, no longer practicing (lapsed faith)

Occupation: Marine behavior studies (PhD.)

Childhood: Her mother was a prosecuting attorney, and her father was a policeman. Both got into their professions for the acclaim, not to actually help people, and they only had a kid because everyone else their age was having kids, and they wanted to compete with them. Marina was pushed to do whatever made her parents look good, prioritizing their egos over allowing their daughter to develop a personality of her own. Everything Marina did had to be for either eventually impressing college admissions professors, or to make her parents look good (and if she didn’t, she was penalized). She ended up getting honors in school, and medaling in competitive swimming, but the flipside was that she wasn’t allowed to have friends or a significant other, all her time meant to be focused on training or studies. The only thing that made Marina really happy was SCUBA diving, something her late nona in Italy had taken her to do on a rare trip outside of Florida (where she grew up). Learning about marine life was one of the few things that allowed her to be free and relax. Her parents were not happy that she chose to enroll in marine biology, since they were trying to steer her towards becoming a lawyer, like her mom. Her parents, enraged, financially and socially cut her off.

College: Marina did not go to college necessarily intending to make friends, or get into a relationship. She wanted to pursue an interest she thought would benefit the environment, as well as stimulate her intellectually. At first she was only interested in Jotaro because they were the two best students in their marine biology class, and she felt competitive towards him. (All JJBA allies have to start as rivals, after all.) However, the more they spent time with each other on school projects and such, the more they became platonic friends-- it didn’t help that his only living friend, Polnareff, was halfway across the world, and they couldn’t talk often. (In an “everybody lives” scenario, Avdol was probably off Stand hunting with Pol, and Kak was studying art or game design in Japan.) Joseph used his massive real estate fortune to help pay for Marina’s college loans. Jotaro and Marina knew each other for a year, and then Jotaro asked her to marry him over Spring break. Jolyne was born a little less than a year later.

Married Life: Marina got her PhD., and chose to work nearby at an aquarium. She often worked weird hours or sacrificed time at the job she loved to focus on her daughter. Jotaro’s plan was to do field work that periodically allowed him to be home, but the SPW relied on him more and more to hunt Stands, and he was never able to be home, between working two full-time jobs that piled more and more work on his shoulders. Jotaro wasn’t able to tell his family about his job hunting Stands, and after a Stand user found out about his family and threatened their safety, he felt he could no longer have a family at all, and divorced his wife. Marina was often upset that her husband wasn’t home, wasn’t telling her what was going on, wasn’t helping raise their daughter, and wasn’t sure what the reason was, but had mixed feelings about actually divorcing him, since she felt he had saved her life and rescued her from an abusive situation with her parents.

Motherly Life: Marina and Jolyne have more of an intergenerational friendship than a typical mother and daughter. They like to bake and watch scary movies together (Marina pretends to be scared, so Jolyne can feel cool and tough), as well as get their hair and nails done together every so often. Marina is very open-minded, and lets Jolyne dress and dye her hair however she wants. Marina probably could have been more strict when her daughter misbehaved, but between not wanting to be abusive like her own parents, and feeling unable to fix her husband’s absence, she is a bit of a pushover when it comes to Jolyne. She’s kind of a doting, embarrassing mom, and loves her only child immensely. However, if you insult or hurt Jolyne in any way, she will have no mercy for you.
