I have it in the lens of my fic, but it's Like Gajeel who is immortal and runs into Levy every few years, and she remembers them after they meet each time. The universe keeps them from meeting until Levy is 18 each time for pedophilia avoidance reasons.

Gajeel stays with Levy until she passes away every single time, never leaving her unless there is risk to her safety.

By the time they meet at Canon point it is when Gajeel ends up in the FT infirmary during Phantom Lord (spoilers stuff) and Levy feels a bit of Anger at them for being apart of the organization but she also understands it was for their safety based on her past memories. (They aren't the one to attack SG in this)
