Did anyone else feel like Jax was trying to reach out more to the others in this episode?

Before Gangle freaks him out a little with the threat of a punishment he is his usual jerk self

Then he tries to have a very casual and relaxed conversation with Zooble about the situation. No sarcasm and no mean comments.

He tries to downplay the earlier threat, and seems to want them to agree with him that Caine wouldn't actually do anything that bad

Of course Zooble out of everyone in the group has the least patience for Jax so he doesn't get any reassurance from them

Then just before Gangle send him off for his employee training/Clockwork orange torture session, he responds to Gangle's manic behaviour with the comment "I like you better when your sad"

That could just be him being mean and saying that he likes it better when she's like that because its easier to pick on her and stops her standing up to him

But considering he always goes out of his way to break the Comedy Mask at every opportunity, it could be that he simply prefers when she is her authentic self, and not putting on some fake act (a lesson gangle herself seems to learn at the end when she rips off the new mask and smiles despite wearing the Tragedy mask)

Plus look at his face when he's saying it. He isn't grinning or making any other mocking expression, he just looks tired

Then when has encounters drunk Ragatha he asks her if she can move, despite the fact that he could easily walk over her with those long legs, and he does exactly that a moment later. Was he being polite? Or was he asking her literally if she could still move her body in the state she was in?

Either way he get another little blow when the nicest person in the group says outright she hates him

Then he tries to do with Pomni what he attempted with Zooble earlier, have a relaxed casual conversation about things without any signs of sarcasm of mean teasing.

Pomni herself is even taken aback and doesn't know what to make of it, suspecting probably that he is trying to trick her in some way. Again Jax's previous mean behaviour is now a barrier stopping him from connecting with the others even when he actually wants to

He makes one last effort to pretend everything is normal and get back to his usual persona, but the second he is out the door and out of sight of everyone, the frustration and despair are clear

When Gooseworx said that people who want to see Jax "get worse" will "enjoy what they have planned", maybe they didn't mean he would get more evil, maybe they meant his mental health would start sinking as the bully/prankster persona he hides behind starts to break down

Maybe he is starting to realize how isolated he is making himself

Hob nibbles on his bottom lip, his fingers now tapping on the mug, his brain sifting through a thousand ice breakers, a thousand things to say, before sighing and leaning back as casually as he can. “I know you didn’t plan this” Hob starts, falling back on an old charm he hopes will break the tension. “But this is the strangest way to get a man’s attention.” Dream snorts into his drink and Hob laughs as it sprays foam over the table’s surface. Hob wipes the mess with a napkin while Dream hides his mouth behind his hand, flustered all over again. Hob smiles. This Dream is so unlike how the man presents himself in public. Poised, professional, god-like. Dream wielded his star power well, it commanded attention and intimidation, only faltering enough to garner his loyal fanbase, to give himself human qualities that listeners could connect with and fawn over. Like the rambling during red carpet interviews. Or talking about Robert Gadling… talking about him.  But Hob had never seen… this. The stumbling, the blushing, the insecurity. It made something warm and incredibly fond well up in his chest. “What about your attention?” Dream tilts his head to one side, eyes gone playful but still with a hint of nerves behind them, uncertainty.

WAR IS OVER.

It happened. The story is gone.

The account is still up, but that matters little to me at the moment. I'm just so happy that the story is finally gone. It took about nineteen days, probably dozens of reports from everyone combined, likely over a hundred comments, many updates throughout the days. But it finally happened.

Right now it's really difficult for me to think straight because I am just so relieved. But I will try my best to formulate some type of message.

I'm playing Happy XMas (War is Over) on loop right now. This doesn't feel real. Y'all don't understand how I would wake up, fine one second, but filled with unexplainable dread and false hope as soon as I remember the plagiarism. I would pray that it was gone when I checked my phone, and it never happened. Which is why it was so hard to believe it was gone this time. I didn't believe my eyes.

This would have never happened without the help of everyone here and the readers that know me and my mutuals. I'm sort of at a loss for words right now, I can't convey what I want to say properly at the moment. All I can really say is thank you. Thank you so so so much, I cannot say it enough. I probably would've been dealing with this for months if I was on my own, and there wouldn't have been an end in sight. So again, thank you for the reports, the research, the comments, the sharing, the encouragements. Thank you for all of it. I nearly gave up hope a few times, but y'all kept me going and gave me hope that I needed for this to happen.
