Hello!! Cutting right to the chase here – I have attempted to create a Discord server for still-interested DSMP fans! It’s intended to be a chill, creatively-geared space for individuals who are (mostly) normal about these characters. It’s been a backburner project of mine for a little bit now, but I think I’ve gotten everything I’d like to have settled, settled, so I’m attempting to release it to the public!

The server offers a couple different things, to begin with. We’ve got:

Automatic and manual moderation

Pluralkit

Off-topic (general stuff) and on-topic (DSMP-centric) chats, separated into their own categories

Off-topic and on-topic art and writing channels

And a flexible variety of other channels, such as areas for discussing AUs, theories, headcanons, and character analysis!

Basically, just a place to hang out and chat about the DSMP -- because it may be 4 years old now, but by God, some of us are still kickin’!

They walk in silent step together for nearly a block. It's Shin who breaks the silence between them.

"You know. It's a shame. I had a whole backstory I developed on the spot and everything."

"Backstory...?"

"About us. Of course, what else? We needed to seem authentic."

"Oh... Kaaay... And if I had said or changed some big detail in your backstory?"

Shin sighs.

"Well. It'd be worse. But I would be good about rolling with it. For your sake."

Indignation takes ahold of the artist.

"Worse??! What- Are you serious?! Oh my god-"

Sabine can hardly believe it.

I never tried the option myself bc it'd probably mean skipping the Reason You Suck speech at the end (fire for speedrunners though) but I Love that you can frame your Phoneys in 3, especially so if you've already killed the previous two. So turns out irkens werent the only race from IZ that'd get inevitably slorped up into the tangled monster hell web of my oc universe worldbuilding, whaddya know, anyway please enjoy all this stuff I made up in the span of an hour and a half on a single stream of conciousness for funsies (and I promise you theres more in my brain, I am just tired)

[Pardon if its a bit scuffed, this is literally the first time I've ever drawn vortians during my entire 10-year-plus run as an IZ fan]

And as a treat, im gonna throw some extras under a read more that I had no room/no visual for on the thingy

- Their lifespans are very similar to Irkens, ranging from 800 to 1,000 years give or take

- I imagine their skin to feel kinda like, weird caterpillars, smooth and squishy with a weird slight layer of fuzz

- Speaking of bugs I mentioned molting like once but theres 2 of them (baby -> child then child -> adult), and they annually shed their skin but only on their head thingys (I like to think they just start rubbing their heads on stuff like deer trying to get the felt off of their antlers)

- They also have a weird reflection in their eyes that vuagely shows where they're looking like Irkens do, but the long and short of that is I didn't feel like drawing it a hundred times

- Another similarity to irkens is the lack of eyebrows, and substituting the gap in emotional expression with their "antennae", or fleshy, head, things, yknow (i still dont have a good name for those can you tell)

And I think thats all im gonna drop here for now, its like, 4:30 in the morning as im posting this guaghg

Your recent post about post-PH AU stuff got me curious: why would Linebeck not like Tetra? Is it something specific to the continuity with hum!Bellum or more of a common thread present across several/all your takes on Linebeck? It's an interesting idea that somehow never crossed my mind as a possibility, and iirc you haven't talked about it before, too.

i think it mostly boils down to him not taking kindly to having to interact with another captain, especially not one who used to have link on her crew and might encroach on his authority when the two crews work together. it's really just the most relevent to post-ph with bellum present, and bellum doesn't actually have too much of an influence on the way linebeck feels about her (bellum is the one who really hates her, he's a liiiiittle pissy that he never got to take all of her life force, and he never really spends the time with her to... not hate her at least a little).

i think there is a slightly through line between my aus of linebeck and tetra not being on good terms??? tetra isn't present in a ton of aus (usually not included if there's a big focus on just zelda), but i think in the ones where she does, their paths don't cross often. i know she's in the space au and the crimson king au, and i think linebeck has more or less the same feelings abt her (being that she's a little annoying but ultimately no someone he really pays attention to until she's actively causing problems or something) tetra tends to be more important with whatever link's got going on in aus. most of the time i just think linebeck and tetra generally aren't on good terms.

otherwise they just dont get along in my mind as captains who probably step on each other's feet a lot and maybe dont like each others crew much (i dont really think linebeck would be toooo fond of her crew either, and tetra is def going to feel some kind of animosity towards bellum even if he doesnt come clean abt his identity to her) and operate too differently

hi person who is seeing this post by searching for your tag of choice. have u seen the above shitheads and tried to report on sight bc they were blasting some video with autoplay? is your search now not working?

native tumblr blocking is breaking your endless scrolling search. apparently too much posts being excluded from the load results in the load failing, so if you reported and blocked these guys, thats whats causing it. 2nd post im making for those who might not have seen my 1st post due to the aforementioned reasons.

heres how to get the functionality back until tumblr mods gets off their ass to cleaning up the mess on desktop.

get firefox with any adblock that allows for custom blacklist/filters. im using firefox with Ublock Origin. so get this if nothing else.

go into the settings of your adblock plugin and slap the following line in the blacklist/filter. it will kill any dailymotion embedded videos too btw. remember to hit Apply Changes or Save or whatever equivalent thats present in your adblock.

now all the botted videos will be broken and unable to load. no more audio blasting. but it will look like this:

make sure the bots are unblocked so the search function actually works. again, too much blocking somehow breaks this hellsite's search bar.

tagging the relevant affected tags these bots are using. in the meantime, Report spam and/or bot but dont block. like this to preserve functionality:
