Richie and Eddie DEFINITELY remembered each other. 

In the Neibolt house, Richie was trying to make Eddie confident before going down the hole with mike. Richie asks “who killed a clown before he was 14?” and “who stabbed Henry Bowers with a knife that he pulled out of his own face?” and then he asks “who married a woman 10 times his own size?” How does Richie know what Eddie's wife looks like?! The only way he would know is by searching him up online or on social media… 

At the Chinese restaurant, Richie says “I don't write my own jokes” and Eddie replies with “I fucking knew it! I fucking knew it!” meaning he’s heard Richie's jokes before! Even if he didn't hear his jokes, he was still thinking about Richie…

and we all know that the actor that plays Eddie's wife is the same actor that played his mom. This is referencing his mommy issues especially because the first look we get of adult Richie is him on the phone with his wife and she is arguing with him about driving on the road after it rained. His wife is being overbearing just like his mother. He even ends the call saying “i love you mommy” This and his mommy issues go to show that he married a woman because she was just like his mom. 

extra: this has nothing to do with the other stuff but at the restaurant when Eddie and Richie are arm wrestling, Eddie yells "let's take our shirts off and kiss" umm what?!
