School is starting soon!! I can't believe I'm excited for the stressors of classes OURGH...

watched whitepine 1. i think i want to gather all my thoughts on part 1 before moving on to the next installments but oh wow im excited to see where this story goes

#this is one of those projects that makes me wish minecraft youtubers hired professional voiceactors.#lowkey as i watch ive been imagining this as a fortiche production. & i dont mean either this or the thing about VAs as an insult!!!#it just . would feel right. this is so great i feel like im watching an award nominated indie film and not a minecraft production #and the reason i mentioned fortiche specifically is because their ability to make these odd inhuman designs (see: lest steb and babette)#fit right into the mainly realistic human world they inhabit in arcane was just wonderful and i loved it a lot #and i think that would work well with these wacky mcyt skins. like princezam is literally a yellow blob #anyway so those were all my little notes about how much i love animation . onto actually discussing the story #um . i really loved ivorys character. everyone else isnt very developed yet (understandable! ive watched 30 minutes of this thing so far)#you can get a grasp of what shes about. i liked the scene with seraptor where she freaks out a bit when asked if she doesnt like #how much he talks. it made me cry a little bit because i have Issues #and her referring to everyone as sir or ma'am and asking permission to do anything as well as always saying that she was staying #in the servant side of the house and all that is very . like just kinda sad. very interesting #i like the melancholic atmosphere everywhere as well as all the wideshots #(and i liked the parts where while following minute(? i think. not well versed in the names of this general crowd im ngl) ivory kept #looking around everywhere. and how she stood somewhere behind him when he was talking to the person at the gate or whatever #i like her!)#it all sets the tone very nicely . i like this series #go watch it maybe #voidcore.txt

picking up a weekend at the bar of the theatre in my street for someone who cant be there then & i agreed without knowing the pay bc its one weekend + i have reason to want money to spend that very next week + idk the min wage is fine enough for me not to care too much abt 2 days and its lit in my street, so, but !!!! i just got the document and uhmmm student pay is 15.60/hr hello feeling rich hashtag blessed hashtag money hashtag millionaire

#plus she scheduled me in for the thursday as well which i thought was just gonna be sorta unpaid since its just like #the person im picking up the shift for showing me what to do & i get to see the piece theyre showing for free #but on the contract she actually scheduled me for 'work' from 19-23 which. like ok tbh #i dont expect to get paid those hours at all bc also the play is apparently some 2 hrs and starts at 8 so itd be 2 hrs of work??#I MEAN WOULD BE NICE THO #nah but it is nice the shifts are from 630 till 1am and since i live on the corner i'm not gonna lose any real sleep #and idk its nice to be handed things. im ngl i feel like i live a lot of my life being handed things #my internship too like i still dont know why my teacher specifically was happy that i responded and hoped that i would #bc like. she'd seen me like 3 times and most of that was either spent on the knitting machine or being bad at patterning #so i still cant figure it out like she said she liked my way of working but like how would she even know that #WHATEVER this is getting into silly territory and not the point anyway the universe smiles down on me perhaps unfairly

AS YOU SHOULD BRO!! Trust me the movie is so so worth it, all the characters are amazing, the story is so good and the animation is amazing 😭 it's on par with the original easily and I think I even prefer it (only by a small margin I will say). Oh and the music is amazing I've had the credits song on repeat for the past couple of days.

Oh I will say just be mindful of flashing images they don't really warn you before hand but there's a fair bit of it in the movie.

on one hand im nervously laughing because holy shit Paris is NOT okay

but also on the other hand im giddy as fuck because the light novel is redeeming itself with this one chapter alone and now all my fears of this ship being handled badly got thrown out the window HELL YEAH

#TME LN #The Mighty Extra #my experience with the light novel rapidly went from “oh this is interesting” to “OH THIS IS INTERESTING”#im ngl i have VERY MIXED FEELINGS on Paris now #bc on one hand the story has never hidden that he's a fucked up character #(and still doesn't actually!!)#but on the other learning more about how psychopathic he is in canon really puts it into context how justified Lyla is to avoid him #(and im actually really glad Helene is Paris's love interest for reasons i wont say out of fear for potential spoilers for the manhwa)#(but i will say i admire the hell out of the writing surrounding these two as a ship and how they continue to have chemistry between-#each other despite Paris being the reddest flag male lead possible)#(and this is coming from someone who is really fucking tired of red flag male leads in otome/isekai stories)#(but for Paris i will make an exception bc im genuinely enjoying the promise of comeuppance for him)#(and i hope in Lyla's timeline he ends up truly loving Helene as a person instead of treating her as a means to fill the void in his heart)#(but more on Paris in another post bc he got a lot of nuance in the LN that the manhwa skips out on and i geniunely think that's a shame)#(especially bc i think his circumstances are genuinely sad now that i've gotten to see inside his head)#(and i think him establishing a healthy relationship with Helene would actually be really good for his growth)#(as for Helene's part in this lemme just say I think Paris is the perfect love interest for her bc he clicks with her character real nicely #(and i literally do not think anyone else in this story could work as a better love interest to her holy shit)#(especially bc i can already foresee he'll make her grow as a person the same way she'll def do for him)#(reciprocal character relationships yay!)
