Upon further examination, I am leaning more and more into Otto being a nonbinary egg opposed to a nonbinary person who uses he/him pronouns. Thanks for the help Mi-ma <3
#rat rambles#oni posting#she reffers to them as 'that nice young man' in one of her journal entries which is what tipped the scale for me#like its obviously possible that granny assumed incorrectly but given how much otto likes her Im inclined to believe shed know if they#were openly nonbinary especially given how personal otto has been with her already#but rly its mostly that combined with the other big thing that makes me feel that they probably were an egg at the time#so I shallst continue to use they/them for otto unless I find a new log that explicitly confirms their preffered pronouns#nothing short of otto saying out loud yeah Im not a man but I still wanna go by the same stuff will fully convince me#bonus points if they talk abt it with dr.holland so that he can make his gender identity clear too#also to be clear there are no mi-ma transphobia allegations to be found here I just think she doesnt know#she has so fucking many nonbinary coworkers and at least one of them is also on the older end and has been at the company for a while#plus I doubt theyre putting transphobia in the colony survival game like imagine if dont starve characters called eachother slurs#so no mi-ma slander shall be tollerated also she is trans (2 Me)#shes literally named mi-ma you cannot convince me she is cis#she is such a silly billy I wish so bad that she showed up in more logs#maybe even given an official full name drop to clear up any doubts#given her whole character is being old and mi-ma's whole thing is being the old one its like 99%#but technically speaking we never do get a full name just last name and first initial#so very technically speaking she could be one of the other 3 available m named guys but its highly unlikely#as in the other options are meep max and marie and no way in hell it's any of them#theyre all young chaps and theres only one hashtag woman in their ranks along with a nonbinary person and a hashtag man#so basically yeah its mi-ma there's no way in hell its not mi-ma

Yeah from the other side of this, literally all of those 'fake chicken' and any other fake meat product are all made from soy here. I've got a severe allergy to soy. It's seriously annoying when they label stuff like its chicken and its only when you look really carefully you see its 'fake chicken' or 'not chicken' or something along those lines. I've always eaten quite a lot of veggie food as i grew up with veggie parents but I'm put off from buying stuff now as rather than it being called a 'soy burger' which I straight away know I can't eat, without bothering to read through the ingredients, they call it 'fake chicken'. And they are always selling these fake meat products like they are a healthier option. Frankly, if it barely resembles the food it started out as, I don't see how any of the 'burger bad, too processed' arguments don't apply to it??? I miss when the veggie section was filled with things that actually tasted like vegetables? Pea burgers and bean burgers were good! I don't want not-beef or not-chicken
I would really appreciate if grocery stores stopped putting organic meats and plant based fake meat products in the same section of the cooler, like mixed up together. They’re not the same thing, I cannot eat chicken no matter if it’s organic or free range or whatever, and I have no doubt a meat eater would likewise be unhappy to have found they grabbed a plant based product when they were wanting real chicken. The packaging and styling of both products looks so similar, I now have to spend so much time carefully analyzing everything I want to buy
#from a health perspective i really don't think a lot of these 'plant based' foods are as good for the human body as ppl think either#if that's what you want to eat go ahead. i don't think 'healthy eating' should be a moral requirement lol#but it seems very opportunistic for these corporate entities to be selling ppl on the idea that they are eating healthier and#saving the planet. by eating foods that are just as processed as a highly processed meat product and have excessive food miles#I've been reading recently about ultra processed foods which is a way of catagorising the health of foods based on how processed they are#at first i was really sceptical but tbh after some reading im inclined to think there's a lot more truth to it than advertisers might want#you to believe#anyway. what surprises a lot of ppl when you start rating things by how processed they are is a lot of 'healthy options' rate really highly#sliced bread is one of the worst. even the wholemeal no sugar options. and not just in the us (I'm in europe) and all these#'plant based' ready to go foods are too. (obviously so are the meat ones but people see sausage rolls and burgers as unhealthy. they pick#'not chicken' often because they are trying to be more health/environment concious. so it seems really unfair that they are being mislead#the idea behind rating foods by their processing is when you are processing them to that degree.you are changing the structure of that food#which impacts on the bodies ability to digest it. often they are partway to be broken down before they reach your mouth which gives you#sugar spikes you wouldn't get from that food before it was processed to such a degree. your body also responds differently to fat that's#on its way to being broken down and more can end up being stored. plus plant nutrients begin to break down from point of harvest so#these foods which are processed so they last longer tend to be less nutritionally dense. it's very interesting.#i don't think we should shame ppl for picking less healthy options but they should know they are picking less healthy options#frankly if i eat something that's not good for me. i want it to taste like its not good for me!#I've no interest if the 'healthier option' doesnt taste as good as the alternative and also has no health benefits but that's just me

Head-canon: Mizu/Reader while on their Period
First official post for BES fandom, thats exciting!
I have recieved a few requests and have started working on them, so those will be posted very very soon! Reminder that if you have a request to please either comment or to submit an ask on my page (anonymous is on if that matters).
Ok, now getting into the actual post: Im not sure why I wrote this, could be because I was on my own period and it seemed like a fun topic to cover since it isn’t always talked about. These are all my own personal head-canons and may differ from what others think, so take all of this with a grain of salt.
I feel like Im also not sure weather to use You when refering to you, the reader, or to use Y/N, so for my first post I kept it very general (I use reader in this post isntead of 'you' or 'Y/N'. please give me feedback on this and weather you would prefer me to use something different.)
Warnings: Mentions of Blood (duh), Mensuration, and NSFW
🚫Minors DNI!🚫
Mizu on her period:
Her periods are irregular, mainly due to her inconsistent diet and stress she is usually under
But when they do come, she can usually handle them pretty well. She doesn’t mind the blood and the pain isn’t terrible either (considering the pain she has felt before)
It does bother her though that she is slightly limited in movement and has to wrap herself either 1.) very very well so that she doesn’t bleed through or 2.) rewrap herself every other hour, which is annoying and costly of time
She also hates that it’s an indicator of her gender and one wrong move could expose her
During the worse days of it, might just stay at an inn for the night rather than staying outside (if that’s an option)
Reader is particularly attentive during this time for Mizu and is doing anything to comfort her (even if on the outside she doesn’t show that she is in pain, reader still knows she must be)
Reader heats up water, messages her tense shoulders, ect. Really anything to ease the pain (reader usually does this, but does it more so while Mizu is on her cycle)
Reader also helps to clean her wraps, since it would look suspicious if Mizu did it herself and wasn't injured.
Reader on Their period:
Not gonna write too much for this section since everyone's periods are different and don't wanna generalize
When reader is on their period, Mizu is more attentive for sure, and more affectionate since she understands reader is struggling a bit
Might make sure to take longer breaks while traveling, so that reader has more time to gather and situate themselves
Mizu gives lots of hugs and cuddles while reader is on their period, especially at night when everyone else is asleep
NSFW:
depending on weather reader is inclined to sex while on their period or not is up to readers interpretation
If yes, then Mizu doesn’t mind fingering her partner while they are on their cycle
In fact, I think she rather likes it, considering the only other time there is blood on her hands is when someone has been killed or injured, or it’s her own blood-
She finds it almost ironic that the same hands that have shed so much blood can also be covered in readers blood (for a good reason)-
I don’t think she would mind eating out reader either, not finding it disgusting at all
When Mizu is on her period, she doesn't mind being touched, but also doesn’t exactly initiate it
She still views it as something to be ashamed of
And just generally wants to ride it out before being sexual/ sexually involved with reader again (at least on her part)
But I’d reader initiates it, then Mizu is happy to go along with it, though it’s still limited and mainly just cuddles
Suggestions and feedback is appreciated! Thank you for reading!

hey! was wondering if you have some ideas/tips for running a dark fantasy campaign? ive been running one for about a year now and while ive included horror elements im a naturally silly person and i feel like i go a couple sessions without including something strange and off-putting. i do wanna be distinct from grimdark, i want my story to have hope and moments of levity, but still feel scary and like the world is against the pcs.
hope ur day is well :]
Genretalk: Dark Fantasy
Maintaining a consistent tone at our d&d table is a notoriously hard thing to accomplish. Partially it's because it's a collaborative game and not all of our players might be as dictatorially inclined as we are, there's also the dice to contend with and those little polyhedral bastards don't care about dramatic consistency or the wrath of god.
So it falls to us as dungeon masters to do most of the work, but luckily I've found that evoking a specific genre can be pretty easily done through keeping a few ideas in mind while we're running scenes and building out our worlds.
First, a meditation on loss :.|:;
What makes dark fantasy dark? The surface level is aesthetics; dirt covered fauxmedivalism, horror imagery, gritty "realism", a lack of smiles and rainbows and happiness. These are all too common but they only reflect the feelings the genre exists to convey, specifically ones related to both the fear of loss and the suffering caused by it.
If people are going to lose something (whether they be players or npcs), you're going to need them and your audience to care about it, which means learning to build connections and evoke sympathy. Having those moments of levity is SO important because they're the point of attachment for your players, the thing that makes them care about this sometimes rotten world you've crated that they've taken on the responsibility of saving. If you skipped this step you'd be going into grimdark, which is one of the reasons I dislike the genre: death and suffering lose all meaning if there's no alternative.
Likewise, as easy as it is to lose hope, people are going to try to make the best of bad times. There's good food and the warmth of a fire and the company of friends and the chance of something better happening tomorrow. People are going to want these things no matter how turbulent circumstances get, so it's important to focus on them to give contrast to the darkness of your story.
Bad things happen to good people and there's (probably) nothing you can do about it
One of the central conceits of playing D&D is that the players are heroes, characters with a unique power and agency in the world and the ability to shape the outcome of events, specifically to beat the odds and save the day. However we can still lean into the dark side of dark fantasy by highlighting that while the players are privileged by their protagonist status, most other people aren't.
Most NPCS the party end up getting to know should have something tragic in their backstory; a war, a famine, a plague, a loved one's death. This will have affected them deeply and have coloured their outlook on the world and will set up their later dramatic arc. The town magistrate is going to have opinions about adventurers after her sister befriended a passing gang of sellswords and ended up dying in childbirth after being seduced by their charismatic leader. The townspeople are unlikely to rebel against their petty and sadistic baron since they remember his military acumen that saved them during the last border war. This also sets up the unexpected moments where the party can fight against the darkness of the world by getting people to see past the lifetime of cruelty they've been forced to endure.
A centeral part of the players having agency is making choices, but sometimes things go wrong, and sometimes there's no good options. Innocent people get hurt, there are costs that we end up having to pay that may or may not be worth the price. Keeping the young lovers apart and letting the unpleasant political marriage go through is the only way to avert war. There's a murder demon stalking town and the only way to banish it is for someone innocent to be ritually sacrificed, none of the heroes count, they've all got blood on their hands.
One of the best tricks I've learned to highlight the "no good options" approach is to present the party with a status quo that needs to change, but characters they like who are reliant upon it. It's easy to justify toppling the evil empire, those guys are jerks and are actively making life worse for everyone, but things get messy when doing what needs to be done involves making life worse for a lot of generally good people.
Messy decisions are what we want in dark fantasy because it really gives the party agency over the story. Are they willing to give up something they care about to perform an act of heroism? Are they willing to let the world tip further into chaos for the sake of seeing justice done? If there is no right choice, then what choice will you make?
The universe trends towards darkness
Worldbuilding is an important part of establishing your tone, and while you don't need to constantly keep ratcheting up how dreadful things are it pays to be mindful while thinking up new details for your setting.
Living in the world is a bloody business and people are all too often accepting of awful things if it makes their lives easier. On the base level it's the "kill people who are different monsters take their stuff" angle of self enrichment, but it gets more abstract as you venture into the non-adventuring levels of society. It's stuff like religions venerating painful martyrdoms as miracles, joyous feast days and festivals to commemorate some bloody event, national or family pride over participation in historic slaughter. A dark fantasy world is one that celebrates it's hypocrisy and compromises because it has long given up on good actually winning out.
To really hammer in that "fighting against the odds" feeling, stories/legends/songs about other heroes should either be tragedies or well known falsehoods.
Change (to say nothing of actual improvement) comes at terrible cost. It isn't fair that the world/narrative/universe is set up this way, but now the heroes have to deal with it.

Azriel x Reader | The Joys of Pregnancy
type: fluff-ish warning(s): pregnancy word count: 1.8k words summary: Reader is pregnant with twins and Az and reader are at an IC dinner, and he says something like "Oh im not very hungry….” and reader bursts out SOBBING practically because she helped make the food or something and she just cried because of mood swings, and everyone is just looking at az like "oh you messed up" thank thank thank you! i just think it would be a cute idea. <3

Azriel’s hand rests on your round belly, his gaze focused on the big stuffed turkey on the table that Cassian is currently cutting into. The general grins brightly and licks his fingers with which he has been holding the animal in order to cut it up into smaller pieces. A heavenly scent lies in the air. It is close to Solstice, it smells of evergreens, of fir and pine, spices and sweets. You move your own hand over your mate’s and glance up at him. Azriel is still looking at the turkey, the piece that Cassian is currently placing on his plate. You silently regard your mate for a moment, he is just so beautiful and once again you call yourself lucky to have him as your partner until the last day of your immortal life. The shadowsinger looks so happy, the corners of his mouth turned upwards, the bright white of his teeth visible, his eyes aglow when his gaze sweeps to you. His smile only brightens when his gaze locks with yours and he ever so slightly squeezes your belly. It is a barely there touch, but his hand is warm through the thin fabric of your dress.
Even though it is winter, the inside of the Riverside House is boiling hot and so donning a thin dress was the best option you could make that morning.
You are still holding Azriel’s hand when Cassian also places a piece of turkey on your plate and you thank him. “So,” Cassian starts and grins, pointing the big fork at you. “What name have you finally chosen?”
A big grin breaks out on your face, you crinkle your nose and look at Azriel. His eyes are aglow when he slowly inclines his head, some silent conversation passing between the two of you. You give his hand a soft squeeze and both of you turn back to Cassian, at least four pairs of expectant eyes meeting you. “Well we have.” You grin, anticipation making your skin prickle. You haven’t shared with them yet that you are going to have twins. They still expect you to have one child. Madja has only told you a week prior and you wanted to wait for the right moment to share it with your family. Now it is the right moment.
“You remember the options we had?”
Nesta is the first to answer, happily tapping her slender fingers on the table. “Madisa if it is a girl and Izak if it is a boy.”
“Well and that it is!” Azriel happily states, poking his fork into the piece of meat and picking up his knife. “Which one?” Cassian asks, places his palms on the table and gives you an expectant look.
“Yes, which one?” Nesta asks, a tone louder, her eyes filled with the glow of anticipation.
“Both of them,” says Feyre and lets herself glide into her seat when Rhysand chuckles lowly and you look at them. “100 points to our High Lady.” With a grin on your face, you pick up your own cutlery, starting on your piece of meat.
“A double name,” Cassian mutters, an irritated grimace spreading over his whole face. A loud laugh erupts from somewhere deep inside of you at the thought of callin one child Madisa Izak.
“Cassian!” Nesta swats at her mate’s upper arm and shakes her head. The slight eye roll does not go unnoticed by you and you have to bite back on your chuckle and say, “We are having twins, Cass.”
Awareness dawns on the general and he grins and in the next moment is on his feet, surrounding the table and hugging Azriel —careful of his wings of course— from the back. “Azzy, you are going to have two babies!” he hollers, patting his brother’s shoulders and his chest which makes Azriel laugh from the bottom of his heart. “I will, brother. I will.”
Once Cassian is seated again, you start dinner and it is absolutely delicious. Everyone digs in, savouring the lovely dishes. “How are you doing with the hormones and the mood swings.” At the mention of mood swings Azriel releases an almost long-suffering male huff and gives you a sidelong glance. You try to kick him under the table and also manage to do so which makes you grin in delight. “That bad?” Nesta chuckles.
“Can’t be as bad as yours. You nearly tried to suffocate me for snoring too loudly,” Cassian expresses. Him and Nesta became parents just half a year ago, the little baby girl now fast asleep on the big living room sofa next to her cousin Nyx. The parents always have an eye on them from where they sit at the table, smiling proudly at them from time to time. You and Azriel would soon have that too. And even though the thought of having to little babies scares you a little bit, you cannot wait for them to finally be here.
“But the worst is the morning sickness,” Feyre cuts in and shakes her head. “I have been puking every morning for weeks. It was madness.” It truly is madness, you agree with her, and tell them about how you are dealing with it. It is then that Rhysand passes you a bowl of tomato salad that you have made together with Nuala. You thank him and scoop some of it up and onto your plate. “Here you go,” you say and pass the bowl to Azriel. Or rather you want to pass the bowl to Azriel, but he declines. “Azriel, you want none?” You ask again, feeling some kind of dad emotion rise inside of you. Your throat starts to burn when Azriel shakes his head and declines again, taking the bowl from you and handing it to Cassian. “No, thank you, my love,” Azriel says and smiles. “But I helped make it,” you whispers and feel tears burn behind your eyes. You feel yourself get angry, not at Azriel but rather at yourself, for not having more control over your emotions.
“Yes, I know, my love, and I am sure it will taste absolutely amazing like everything else you cook. But I am just not really fond of tomatoes today.”
“You are not fond of tomatoes today?” you express and let your fork drop. It clatters onto your plate, loudly and draws the others attention to you. You know you are overreacting, but it is too late to stop now. A tear runs out of the corner of your and you push your chair back, standing up promptly, one hand moving over your belly. Your lip quivers, your chin quavering when more tears start to flow. “And what if one day you are no longer fond of me?” It is so terribly dramatic, but you fully shove your chair back and dash out of the room. The last thing you hear is Cassian saying, “Mood swings,” and you show him a vulgar gesture over your shoulder. Then the door falls shut behind you and you head for the bathroom.
In the dining room, Azriel needs a moment to gather his thoughts in order to understand what has just happened. “Oh you messed up, brother,” Rhysand says, matter-of-factly, and shoves a piece of potato into his mouth. “Not helpful,” Azriel answers tightly when getting up. He places his cutlery on the table and wipes the back of his scarred hand over his mouth. “What do I do now?”
“Not be a big idiot again,” Nesta grumbles and shakes her head at the shadowsinger. This comment draws a chuckle from Cassian which quickly dies down when his brother gives him a dead pan. But Cassian loves to tease Azriel and so the amused expression soon returns and in a casual voice he says, “Wild guess, but I think Azzy is sleeping on the couch tonight.” Not it is Azriel who flips him off and when the spymaster of the Night Court leaves the room, Cassian says something about how well the two of you fit — “truly perfect for each other with their attitude.”
Azriel’s shadows lead the way, tell him where to find you. They whisper in his ears that you are crying and it breaks his heart. He knows that mostly this emotional break down came from your mood swings and the hormones, but he still triggered it and he feels massively bad about it. Azriel blames himself and ever so softly knocks on the bathroom door. Shame coats your insides when you say, “Come in.”
You know it is Azriel, you have felt him near through the bond. Through a teary vision, you glimpse up at him from where you are seated on the closed toilet seat. “I am sorry,” you whisper and bring up your hand to wipe at your nose and teary eyes. They already feel swollen and you know you look like a big mess. You also feel that way, but it is just the—
“Hormones, my love.” A lop-sided smile appears on Azriel’s face. He walks fully into the room, closes the door behind him and moves closer to you. When crouching down in front of you, the male takes your hands into his and kisses your knuckles on each side. “Don’t apologise.” “I caused a big scene,” you admit, feeling even more shame bloom in your chest. You cheeks feel warm when you finally lift your gaze to your mate’s. Azriel is already looking at you, smiling. He leans in a little and places a soft kiss to your round belly. “Those two are already trouble makers, huh?” he chuckles lowly, one hand leaving yours and moving to your belly. Azriel rubs your skin through the fabric of your dress, his thumb moving in idle circles. “Should we return to the table? I will then try your tomato salad of course.”
“You don’t have to, it was so silly.” Azriel tries to convince you that it wasn’t — that it was just the result of your hormones and emotions being all over the place. You come to accept it, letting yourself get pulled to your feet. Azriel gives you an embrace which is not as tight as it once used to be as now there is your big belly between the two of you. He kisses your brow softly before opening the door and saying, “And just for your info.” He pauses and turns to you, grinning brightly. “I will always be more than fond of you. Because with every day that we are together, I just want you a bit more, I love you a bit more and I desire you a bit more.” Azriel winks, his hand closing over yours and together you return to your family, enjoying the rest of the meal and joking about the stupid mood swings.

It's 1am and this is absolutely probably a non-question but like, how old do you think yuu's ghost camera is?
I'm going through the story again for... reasons... and realized that Crowley's wording of it could be interpreted as either/both "this camera is an old magical relic from long before you were born. be grateful im giving it to you." but also "the magic in this camera is indeed very old, but it's still being used even in this day and age. just look at how hip and cute this one is!"
The camera itself honestly looks like it could either be something modern made to look retro or could actually be something you'd find in an old thrift shop or passed down through family. Honestly I dont know which option i like better.
I think the dialogue is meant to be interpreted as “this magic item is old”, since “magic” is clearly the adjective that describes the item/camera.
Ace refers to the ghost camera as “a super old magic item” and states that the ghost camera may be at least as old as his grandma, since Ace has heard of it through her. Crowley implies the ghost camera is even older than this, as it may been invented when Ace’s great or great-great grandmother was still a child.
The magic is never described in isolation, unless you count Crowley describing what a ghost camera actually is. Even if we counted this, it’s just him giving an overview of what the ghost camera different from a non-enchanted camera.
This could delineate ghost cameras as being invented later than regular cameras, since a regular camera had to exist first before being enchanted to change how it functions. If you think about it, modern day digital cameras are a new invention too, even if it’s an iteration of something that already existed before. As Crowley introduces the ghost camera here, I’m inclined to think it’s a true artifact.
Whether the ghost camera genuinely is “retro” or not is relative, I guess? It largely depends on your own definition of what is old and what is not.

i very deeply respect your mashposting and even though im not as enthusiastic about hawkahy as you are i think the content you make for them us delightful and some of the best mashposting on this godforsaken website. that being said, i wanted to know ur takes on the hawkeye & trapper dynamic, and the hawkeye & bj dynamic. Not in a shippy way, just in the World of Hawkahy what role do trapper and bj play in their relationships with hawkeye :3 this because i love that one comic u did where hawkeye is spunchbop and bj is Patrick its one of my fave pieces of mash fanart lol
(๑˘❥ ˘๑) first off, THANK YOU!! i'm soooo crazy about hawkahy and i really enjoy contributing to my fellow shippers, but i'm glad my art can also still appeal to people who are less interested the ship itself.
second, VERY fun question!! i wish i had definitive answers for yall, but you know me... i love to go "well idk it could go either way" ^_^;; really, it depends on what kind of tone and theme i'm looking for. i don't really write heavier stuff (because i have so much fun writing funny fic) so that kind of narrows my options, but there's a lot of potential i'd love to explore— or see someone else explore, if they're so inclined!
TRAP:
generally the trapper reading i typically default to is that he and hawkeye have a pretty casual FWB thing going on. trapper considers hawkeye a very close friend and hooks up with him at an intersection of bicuriosity and deep platonic affection, but hawkeye catches baddddd feelings and ends up genuinely heartbroken to find out their thing was lopsided. in this case, hawkahy would happen only after trapper leaves— mulcahy has a tough time trying to get noticed before that point :( but at the same time, i don't think mulcahy would pounce at the first opportunity, because i don't think an immediate rebound would be good for hawkeye nor mulcahy... but it could happen for dramaaaaa...
another version of the hawkeye-trapper rapport that i love playing with in my fics is trapper being generally very supportive but nonetheless slightly grossed out. i think there's a lotttt of comedy potential with hawkeye thinking it's okay to fuck a priest but NOT a married woman, and meanwhile trapper is pro-infidelity but anti-priestfucking (for whatever reason), and they squabble and tease each other about it the whole time.
it's also funny to think about is trapper trying to figure out whether mulcahy now gets the "one of the bros" back-slapping beer-chugging dude treatment, or if instead he's now slotted into the "go easy on 'em trap" category that protects hawkeye's ladyfriends from hearing trapper's bawdiest jokes and comments when hawkeye brings them along as a plus-one to the swamp.
trapper seems like he's pretty likely to sniff out that hawkeye and mulcahy are seeing each other even if they try their damnedest to keep it secret. i like to think hawkeye trusts trapper enough that he would go ahead and divulge it it up front pretty soon after it's official. trapper could probably even pick up hawkeye's crush beforehand... maybe even before hawkeye knows about it!
i don't see trapper as being too jealous of hawkeye spending a lot of time with mulcahy, even if it means hawkeye is now exclusive and not sleeping with trapper anymore. if anything i think he'd be pretty stoked that he's got one less guy to compete with for the nurses' attention. pretty sweet deal as far as he's concerned.
i do think there'd be some tricky navigating between how hawkeye acts with trapper and the STARK difference with how he acts around mulcahy, which you can see clear as day in the s1 finale, where hawkeye gets soooo soft and careful while talking to mulcahy. i don't think either one is disingenuous; i think hawkeye contains multitudes. hawkeye's not the type to fake sincerity. and to that end, i really don't think hawkahy should hinge on hawkeye totally giving up all the cruder parts of his personality (especially since mulcahy is really no saint either), so it could be pretty interesting to see that manifest in whether/how he's still maintaining a close friendship with trapper now that he's been seeing mulcahy regularly and trying to make a good impression.
BEEJ:
the direction bj goes in depends on whether hawkahy are already an item before he gets there. he does form that almost instantaneous trauma-bond with hawkeye on his first day, but i think if hawkeye admitted "yeah by the way the chaplain is my boyfriend" as soon it seemed safe, bj would be able to take it in stride as another weird little quirk of the mash he has to get used to. he's too hung up on dealing with all the gore to worry about who's banging who.
by contrast, i think he could potentially get pretty upset/jealous if hawkeye and mulcahy paired up a little while later. i can see him feeling really betrayed, like, "what do you normally do when i'm gone?" "wait for you to get back!!"
if bj still doesn't feel like he's really enmeshed himself into the unit— which i think on some level, he never wants to, because he's banking on dropping everything like a hot potato the second he can— then i can totally picture him just feeling completely lost and isolated when hawkeye is suddenly forgoing their boys-nite boozathons in favor of getting some priest pipe. like, at least trapper could always go find his own cuddle buddy to pass the time and had nurses lining up to volunteer; bj has basically nobody and doesn't seem inclined nor equipped to fix that. hawkeye is his liason to the rest of the camp, and bj isn't so great with people without having hawkeye there to help as both teleprompter and safety net.
basically i think bj wants to keep hawkeye within a very specific arm's-length radius— not too close, but not too far either, and hawkeye having so much private time with someone else could really get under his skin.
you could also have bj think the priestfucking is gross/bad on sheer principle like trapper did, even without the jealousy angle, and it'd probably hold a little more water coming from bj than trapper. however, it'd be funny if he's insisting it's definitely not a jealousy thing and he's being fully objective about it, but you can totally tell he's just jealous. x)
i admit i kinda love seeing bj get tormented, because he's got such obvious buttons to press and yet sternly insists that they don't even exist, similar to houlihan and frank. like, you can't just set that up and not expect me to rub my hands together and SLAM those buttons as hard as i can. ergo, bj getting jealous about hawkahy is supremely funny to me. i'm not too proud to admit that!
#shebbz shoutz#ask#mash#hawkahy#obligatory caveat of These Are Just My Takes and i'm not looking for a debate so if you disagree just ignore me :P

I wouldn't know how to explain it but I feel like we are so close to getting hirano to finally realize that he is in love with kagiura, like, I feel like we will be getting it in two or three more chapters although I'm more inclined to think that it will happen in two more chapters
I think that in that next we are going see him at least considering talking to someone about al these sensations and thoughts that he has been having since chapter 20 and that his main options are going to be hanzawa or ichinose (but I can also see him considering Sasaki since he doesn't know much of kagi apart from him being hirano's roommate and being part of the basketball club)
I kind of considered him talking with miyano since a lot of his progress in that matter have come from him talking about his bl manga, but like, miyano its considerably biased when it comes to shiping kagihira, and like even if he was going to give a no biased opinion on the matter, I think that hirano wouldn't consider miyano bc he know he ships them
Im considering ichinose as the more likely option bc in recent chapters we have been like getting to know him better, like getting to know more about him apart from the fact that he was hirano's roommate before kagiura, but I'm also considering hanzawa bc I feel like they are very close and that like hirano trusts him a lot with his opinions and suggestions.
KIND OF A SPOILER
I have to admit that one of my reasons to think that we will be getting that feelings realization in 2 or 3 more chapters is that, I feel like the kghr extras that we get in sasamiya are teasing this, especially the one from vol 10 were they are kind of referencing to the ring that we saw in previous extras without mentioning it
Edit: I will correct myself, they ARE referring to it directly, I was so excited hyping so much for this extra that I didn't see that ring being listed in the panel where hirano asks kagi which accesorie he wants hirano to remove
Like here first of all, the hand were we saw the ring, bc someone mentioned one time that since the extra where miyano notices the ring in hirano's hand we haven't seen much of that hand bc he either has it in his pocket or hidden by something else, and like we can even see it here, he is taking his hand out of his pocket but since he is being drawn so tiny and the hand looks so blurry we can't see the ring.
And second of all, them talking about all the jewelry that hirano uses, kagiura protesting, according to the dialogue bc hirano looks very flashy but I think that he is also complaining bc he wants the jewelry that he has gifted hirano to stand out, and like, this leads to a pair of panels of hirano going like "i like all my accesories" and an implicit "including the ones i got from you", and like i know that the panel is showing the earings, but I feel that this is also referencing to the ring.
And like, I feel like we are being very teased about that ring, and that makes me think that we are near a "hirano finally realizes that he is in love with kagiura)
#hirano to kagiura#kagihira#hirano taiga#kagiura akira#help i dont know anyone that i could talk to about hirano to kagiura#and thas making me go insane#i need someone to ramble to#i apologize if a didn't make sense#english its not my first language#i dont think i would have made more sense in spanish#estoy tan pendeja que creo que aun si hubiera escrito todo esto en español habria sido confuso de leer

there was an update you know the drill. time to go nuts with each pannel.
I LOVE HOW IN THE FIRST PAGE WE DIRECTLY GET HIT WITH SO MANY EMOTIONS FROM EVERY ONE OF THE BOYS.
Wild with the realisation that he didnt finish this all, not yet. Theres still danger, the same thing that almost killed his brother is still breathing and can if it wants to do the same with the rest of his newfound family
Twilight i feel like is almost the same as Wild, but for other reasons. The Shadow almost took his life, and after he thought that it was finally dead, boom. That thing is still out there and maybe is gonna be around for some more time.
He wants to believe that theres something else also opening the gates, that the Shadow is really dead and it's just another weird monster who opened the one that Sky saw
Hyrule confirms it, and reminds Twi that no, the damn thing is still out there and will go in a hunting game with each one of them.
Wild realised his mistake, he didn't kill it, he destroyed it's defenses. What if he stayed and searched for every piece of the Shadow and destroy it? They will be having this same conversation? He hopes to at least for it to happend in another time
Wind got a point here, if youre not sure of all it's tricks it looked like it was finally dead. Wild and any of them would have never guessed if it was the end or not. Not even Time
side note but
Wild looks so sad here, no not sad. Guilty is the word. He feels like he failed, again. If he thought more what to do maybe his brothers will not be in danger
OKAY I WANT TO STOP IN HERE FOR JUST A SEC.
I know it is maybe something without importance, but the fact that Four is the one who we are focused, how he looks like he's carefull listening Wild's words of auto-inflicted guilt. He looks like hes thinking the statement carefully, Wild didn't failed shit, it wasnt his faoult that they were trapped in this whole mess across time, and Four knows it.
We are stopping being serious for a moment just to admire this. theyre confused. thinking. out of context even. idk. i love this specific pannel. theyre such a mood.
we need to stop a second more because goddamn it this pannel slaps
The representation of Time being surronded by the choice of help his descendant or kill the thing that hurted him in the first place, he's just a man who got throught a lot, and even after all thta he's still trapped in this choosing what to do (both options will have consquences) thing
and here we got more of Wars being the traditional paramedic of the group! I remember a person saying that yeah Hyrule can heal people with magic, but Warriors participated in a war, so he knows basic treathening and i think thats so perfect and true for his character
theyre still processing the fact that Twilight and Wolfie are the same, it haven't been discussed properly since Twi woke up, and i think it will be in a future when everyone is more settled down
this man doesn't regret the danger he put himself under, he knows it was for the safety of his brothers and to stop this madness
also he was tired of it running like a total coward from them, if it was going to kill them at least it shouldn't run from what it started!
oh no. he caught you Twi. now you will suffer the consequences of putting yourself in danger so many times with them not knowing
oh four. You really know what youre saying
youre the one who know the most that theyre doing better than it could
if this means that theyre finally using all their items im so in for the whole chaos that it would bring in the fights
Legend has a shit ton of items and weapons, mostly inclined to magic, i need to see that.
i remembered something
Jojo said that Hyrule will have more importance in the future, if this means something... Oh shit
im not highing up my expectations, but i know that we will see his enemies sooner than we expect
and that will not end up well for the ones who don't know how to manage them
this background, no words. 10/10.
These two pannels killed me
Time is directly watching his descendant, and Twilight knows well why. He doesn't blames him, he knows that he scared them all to death. He doesn't want to go throught that with one of them too
this confirms that Sky can sense what makes Fi react, he can feel when she's upset with something, maybe he felt the anger when Twi got hurt, her fury whne she couldn't defend him. That's her duty right? Protect and serve her masters
sky i love you this was so unserious and out of place such a perfect ending of update
NOW THE THING THAT EVERYONE WAS WAITING
WARRIORS GOT HIS EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SCARF BACK!!!!1!!!

Milgram and The Court of Public Opinion.
this analysis will be about milgram's voting system, nuance and a whole lot of my own opinions mixed with eng fandoms translations, theories, and observations.
t1 = trial one / t2 = trial two
mv = music video
vd = video drama
voting and verdicts:
voting forgiven/unforgiven or innocent/guilty from the standards milgram sets for us (including es) isn't enough or easy.
being that milgram is set towards the court of public opinion and judgement can come from:
"sensibility, morality, ethics, legality, preference, taste, or sexual inclination..."
we end up arguing semantics, trying to find specifics in the crimes and making the best judgement possible. although in doing that the only conclusion anyone can come to is innocent when all is considered.
if we were doing it based on guilty and innocent then 5 are guilty, 2 are guilty on technicality and 3 are innocent
just in case you're curious, in guilty to innocent order as i just stated.
haruka, muu, amane, mikoto, kotoko, shido, fuuta, kazui, mahiru and yuno
it'd be over so quickly. but this... is milgram.
nuance/the grey area:
as the undercover song says, can you really judge them?
001. haruka did it for attention. with how he's coded - intellectual disability - and his mother being extremely neglectful after a certain age which prevented the possibility of his growth in intellect (understanding cause and effect/actions and consequences, along with many other things) it's easier to claim he's innocent. even more easier to forgive him due to this and extremely so if looking at it from his view point, albeit flawed. killing = attention = "affection", even if that attention/"affection" is negative it what he wanted. for someone, anyone to acknowledge him. he's innocent/forgiven because of his circumstances but if he's forgiven then he's being told it was his only option, and he was right, when the fault is on his mother.
002. yuno, as for now, doesn't have a reason. ofc in western (american specifically) public opinion or at least those who view abortion as a choice. she's been innocent from the start. this is her autonomy, her choice, even if she's 18. i won't deny she is so young to be doing sex work, or more specifically compensated dating, and yes it may be common in japan but that doesn't take away the age being factored into what she decided to do. it wasn't for money and she has a good home life. with how analytical and cold she can be, im assuming her desire to be loved in this way comes from somewhere and she's become jaded towards actual relationships. opting for the material and superficial. even without pitying her, she'd still be forgiven/innocent since t1.
003. fuuta was only trying to call out liars and scumbags. he is well versed in the court of public opinion, but he has never seen or experienced a result that lead to someone's death. looking at the undercover mv, then we can see he possibly doxxed his victim. if we take a nuanced approach here then we'd be looking at how he feels after the fact. he remembers the victims name, the fear in his eyes in his t1 and t2 mv, his voice drama after the first trial, him not approving of violence as a solution are all evidence of him feeling horrible. if he could go back, if he would've known. sure he did question why he's there instead of the people who actually killed the victim, but he also recognizes that he lead the charge. his innocence/forgiveness comes in the form of recognizing his actions were wrong. him being guilty/unforgiven is the action in itself.
004. muu is a love/attention reason. she's always been adored, admired, and cherished. she's always had her way. she also has never had to face heavy adversity. sure she was a bully, the queen bee, and a drama queen but didn't her school's culture allow her that? infact with us/es forgiving her, in the second trial song she claims as such, she'll always be queen. and for the t1 mv she says, "my 'im sorry' spells aren't working anymore." which leads me to believe that she's cried and apologized so many times that her old friends couldn't believe her. not forgiving her affirms to her that "two wrongs don't make a right" but forgiving her says the opposite to her. if she's to be forgiven/innocent the blame is tossed to the school, not her, but she won't see it that way.
005. shido is a love case, but for family. im thinking son because of a theory i saw, but either way when looking at it with nuance it gets heavier here. is taking from brain dead patients to save someone wrong? are the brain dead really dead? in my opinion yes, but that's the crux of the situation right? same goes for all the other inmates in this court of public opinion. he can be innocent from the view point that brain dead patients are already dead, and forgiven for his motive.
006. mahiru is another love case, romantic, and in a roundabout way she never committed a crime in the first place. from the voice drama and interrogation q&a slips, we find out that she's a sheltered girl and loves/idolizes soap opera and shoujo mangas. from her mv's we see she romanticizes everything, especially with her t1 mv. she's innocent because of not actually committing murder and forgiven because this is her first love, she wouldn't have known that it was toxic and messed up.
007. kazui did it in hopes of a dream, righting a mistake, being free. although he deeply regrets it, although he says he loves his wife? that love is mainly platonic. from his second trial mv, we see that he met her through his job - most likely police officer - so they had some kind of amicable relationship through their job. he only married her out of societal obligation, and noticing she liked him. not to mention in his t1 mv he says he messed up from the beginning. he is innocent because his crime is indirect, and forgiven because being gay isn't a crime and the regret he feels shows he never had negative intentions.
008. amane did it out of obligation. now, listen to me. i know she's literally 12 and was raised in a cult but notice how im stating the motive of each of these as they are from being stated in vd or pure observations from the mv's. now to any grown up it's self defense, but also imagine having gone through the worst hell imaginable all because you did something "wrong" stated by the adults around you. wouldn't the revenge be sweet? justice in its purest form. now take that and double it down with what you were taught. amane is not only forgiven/innocent because she was just a child, but because of the circumstances surrounding the murder.
009. mikoto (miko from here on) did it out of pent up stress an emotions, in turn creating john (koto from here on). miko is innocent without a doubt, and no i am not taking on the theory he actually did it til we get trial three. if koto was supposed to be his protector, and if he was born from a sudden explosion of pent up anger then (at least to me) it makes sense that he reacted the way he did. imagine being a corporate slave - no actually double it down, again, with growing up always trying to keep the peace. miko has a habit of laughing when he's upset. he laughs it off in hopes that things get better, his vd affirms this and even his mv after that. miko's smile that shifts to an extremely tired expression right before koto is born and a mirror shatters, right at the start. an intolerable stress from working so hard he grew grey hairs, cried himself to sleep, and yet continued to work, hold it in, and endure. the fault isn't on him or on koto. it's japan's work culture and the endure it mentality. koto is innocent/forgiven in the sense of motive. miko is innocent/forgiven because he's never killed to begin with.
010. kotoko did it to save the innocent. though she doesn't deal in nuance, much like fuuta. a key difference between the two is kotoko chooses violence because the justice system failed her. infact she's been hunting down the awful criminals of the world so much that she even has a covered bulletin board with pinned strings on it. on top of that, from the interrogation cards, we find out she dropped out of college and she was studying law. she'd be innocent for what she was seeking to do, in the court of public opinion, many would agree that awful people deserve a murderous punishment and she'd be even forgiven with that same reason. the nuance appears when considering the criminal, the crime and the reason. factoring those in then she can easily become guilty and unforgiven in the eyes of many, see the results after t1.
when it's all said and done:
they all had their reason, it all has a reason. who are we to say their crimes weren't just or fair? we're the judge, the jury, the executioner, and warden. in milgram whatever we says goes.
i'd love to see them all innocent, but at the same time do each of them deserve that? are their ideas being affirmed a detriment to them or their saving grace?? will they kill again?? will some of them be able to get the therapy and treatment they desperately need??? will they go back into society with an improved outlook on life or will they remain the same?
ofc i already have who i'd like to see forgiven and have already forgiven them myself, same as you reading this and those in the jpn fandom (where it originates)
anyway. moving forward please vote with this in mind, and check out the audio dramas i beg you all. i hope that there are nuance voters and voters with sympathy but with how amane was guilty in t1, i have a strong feeling it's not gonna end well. but if it does, you'll see me rejoice.

It’s a guy from Stockton, it’s always a guy from fucking Stockton.
It isn’t the first time you’ve been groped in the clubhouse, but it hasn’t happened in a long time, not since Bishop instated a zero policy. The girls were treated with respect here, it was a common courtesy.
Yuma were usually fine, but there’s always a problem with Stockton. It’s the reason Bishop clears out all the female bartenders before they show up. You don’t know if it’s a management issue because Ramos is a convicted rapist and his views on women have filtered down or if it’s the calibre of men they’re recruiting.
You don’t usually visit the clubhouse, but Carmen's asked you to swing by to pick up some donations for the community centre that Angel had dropped off. Valeria was growing like a weed and most of the clothing was new or almost new. He wanted it to go to good use in the community, they’d been there for him when he suddenly found himself with a two-week-old infant. He was paying it back or forward depending on how you looked at it.
You’re carrying the box of donations when it happens, a hand comes to rest on your ass, squeezing it tightly before an arm snakes around your waist drawing you into their lap. The box slips out of your hands, tumbling across the floor and the room falls silent.
“Ain’t you a pretty little thing?” A voice murmurs in your ear. A stranger’s lips brush the curve of your throat, unfamiliar stubble raking across your skin. “Where have they been keeping you?”
Your own hand comes to rest upon the one that encompasses your waist, gripping the two middle fingers before you wrench them back, breaking them. The crack of bone resounds through the room, a choked scream erupting out of the man whose lap your sitting in. You rise to your feet and turn to face him.
It’s Ramos.
He’s the only one who has the balls to go up against Bishop, to blatantly break clubhouse rules. You doubt he has any idea of your reputation; how deadly you really are. You look towards Bishop, he’s already out of his seat, his jaw tense, those dark eyes of his glittering with rage.
The whole reason Stockton are here is to discuss Santo Padre relinquishing control of the pipeline. Bishop wants to do it in the safest way possible and that means sitting down with both Yuma and Stockton to discuss the options. What you’ve just done might have usurped all of that.
“The bitch broke my fingers.” Ramos spits, his hand trembling as he holds it up.
“You’re lucky she didn’t cut them off and feed them to you.” Bishop snarls before jabbing his finger at Ramos. “You come in here with no fucking respect.”
Ramos leans forward, his elbows resting on the table as he meets Bishop’s gaze.
“Those are your rules not mine.” He says, the edges of his mouth tipping up into a smile. “If they’re not somebody’s old lady they’re fair game and I don’t see a ring on this one’s finger.”
“That’s not how we operate.” Bishop snaps, his eyes blazing.
“It is if you want to make this deal.” Ramos says, raising to his feet. “She needs to learn her place and I’m more than happy to be the one to teach her.”
“That’s not fucking happening.” Bishop informs the other man, his gaze full of fury. “Now get the fuck out of my club house before I allow El Cuchillo to cut your fucking dick off.”
“El Cuchillo?” Ramos laughs, jabbing his finger in your direction. “There’s no way this, cunt…”
Bishop inclines his head towards you. You realise what this is, him giving you his blessing. He’s had enough of Stockton, of Ramos and his demands, the way he treats the women he interacts with. If it wasn’t you, it could have been someone else, Carmen, Songbird, Stitches. Ramos needs to learn that their women are off limits and who better to teach him?
Ramos doesn’t see the punch coming, it’s a lighting fast blow to the nose that snaps Ramos’s head right back. Blood erupts, spattering the lower half of his face with crimson.
Two things happen when someone who’s untrained gets punched in the face, they flinch, or they flail. Ramos is a flailer, he comes straight back at you, fists swinging. You’re ready for it. You’ve spent years sparring with Nestor, someone with a much more advanced skillset that Ramos. Ramos is a thug, and a brawler.
The first hit he lands on you is a glancing blow, it hurts like hell, but you’ve taken worse, much worse. It gives you the space to manoeuvre, because he’s over extended, off balanced. You hit him with a right hook that turns his head. He spits blood onto Bishop’s table as you slip the ornate hair pin from your hair. It’s the one that Nestor gave you as a birthday present a couple of years ago, back when you were both still working for the cartel. The surgical steel glints in the light that’s streaming through the window before you dive it into Ramos’s palm, fixing it to the wood.
He screams, it’s a shrill, piercing sound that cuts through the air like a blade. Ramos reaches for the pin but you get there first, tearing it out before you grab the back of his head, slamming it hard into the table. You kick his legs apart, your palm pressing down on the back of his neck as you press the sharp end of the pin between his legs, jabbing it lightly against his balls.
“It’s not fun being in this position, is it?” You ask him. “I hope you think about that, the next time you even consider laying a hand on a woman.”
He curses at you Spanish, and you alter the trajectory of the pin just slightly, so it cuts through the denim of his jeans, scraping across his scotum.
“You know it will take the barest amount of pressure to make you eunuch.” You say conversationally. “Do you think they’d follow you then, that they’d still consider you a leader? Shall we find out?”
“Rosa.” Bishop says quietly, his face impassive as he watches Ramos struggle. “I think he gets the message.”
You sigh before pulling away, releasing Ramos as you take a step back. You wipe your hair pin across your jeans, smearing blood across the thigh. Bishop’s attention turns to Smokey, Stockton’s V.P.
“I’d be taking a vote if I were you.” He tells the other man, grasping the back of Ramos’s kutte and shoving him towards Smokey. “This asshole is going to be the downfall of your whole charter unless someone gets him in line.”
There two men share a look of understanding before Smokey loops Ramos’s arm around his neck and guides him towards the exit. Ramos shoots you a final hostile look before the two of them disappear out the door.
It barely closes behind them before Bishop looks at you and says “Fuck, I need a drink.”

wanna read more? here’s the table of contents!
want to read the first fic in the hundred days series so you understand what’s going on here? here it is!
im starting to think this story should be called 'bentley and all the girls he pulls by having the worst luck'
part eighteen
❝ THE WATER WILLOW ❞
MONDAY — JULY 23 — 1:01PM
THE REST OF BIOLOGY WAS A BLUR. All they did was go over the syllabus — what they needed for class and what they'd be doing over the school-year, nothing super important. Which was good, because Bentley spent the entirety of the class pretty much checking up on Bellamy.
Earlier it had seemed like Bellamy specifically had a problem with their teacher, but after his moment in the hallway, he seemed... pretty fine with her. Even when she came to walk around and hand out sheets of paper. Which threw Bentley for a loop, because he was at least expecting a little visible discomfort from him when she got close, but there... wasn't any. And for some reason, it didn't sit right with him. Nothing about Bellamy and their teacher (whose name he'd learned was Ms. Dagnan) was really sitting right with him at all.
But then the bell rang, and he was able to put that whole situation behind him (for now) and head back to the Einstein building for lunch.
Every student had lunch at the same time, which made for a very chaotic, loud, and full cafeteria. Thankfully, Valor seemed to have snagged the same table they had that morning, because he, Rockie, Koa and Varian were at it as soon as Bentley and Bellamy walked in.
The rest of their roommates arrived shortly — they talked, ate, gossiped about life like teenagers do. Bentley listened, mostly — to some story of a kid falling down the stairs in Rockie's last class, to the ridiculous first day project Valor had to do in math. Bellamy sat right next to him quietly, and Varian, who had been sitting on the other side of him, fluttered around the cafeteria for almost the entire hour like a literal social butterfly, disappearing into other people's tables and then re-emerging to go to another. Koa had to call him over and remind him to eat his food about four times before he actually did.
During that hour, they'd determined that Bellamy had his next class with Valor, who was more than willing to (literally) take him under his wing for the period. Bentley was also made aware that his next class was the only one he had with Asten all day — music theory.
(Yay?)
Bentley wasn't at all musically inclined like Asten. Asten was able to play literally every instrument he put his hands on, but Bentley — well, he just chose the class because it sounded like the most enjoyable option left. Not because he could actually do anything with instruments.
The bell rang for fifth period, and Bentley, thankful that Bellamy was in capable hands, walked with Asten to the Shakespeare building.
It was on the far, back end of the campus, so the walk was a little longer — but still not anything like his and Koa's run-to-beat-the-bell distance from breakfast.
They were probably some of the last students to arrive. The music classroom was a large and semi-circle in shape, and the entire curved wall was covered with a giant, long window. As opposed to the halls of the Shakespeare Building, which had hardwood and wainscoting like the rest of the campus, the music room floor was grey carpet, and the walls had a similar carpet-like texture that climbed almost halfway up them like the wainscoting in the halls. The room was covered with colorful instructional posters, and around it sat various instruments, music stands, and chairs with no desks spread about in no specific order.
In the center of the room sat a massive white grand piano, and Asten's eyes caught on it as they made their way inside.
Bentley glanced between the students, finding the boy who'd thrown the paper at Koa in the far corner, and a few others he recognized from previous classes. His gaze, however, finally settled on a familiar purple-and-black-haired girl whose face curved into a smile as soon as she saw them.
"Thank goodness! I was afraid I wouldn't know anyone in here," Vera said, gesturing to a few empty chairs to her right. "I didn't know you were into music, Red."
Bentley shrugged, making his way to the chair next to her. She was wearing a button up, vest, and blazer just like him, but on the bottom she had a pleated, checkered skirt of green and gold and these really tall socks that climbed nearly up to her knees. She was wearing a pair of shiny, black penny loafers. (Steph was obsessed with penny loafers. Personally, Bentley thought they were a little ugly. But the school ones weren't so bad, he guessed.) She had her hair pulled up into two black and purple buns on top of her head that reminded him of cat ears.
He draped his bag over the back of the chair as he sat down to her left, and Asten did the same on the other side of him.
"I'm not, really. It just sounded better than cooking class," He replied, and Vera snickered.
"Why? Because girls are the ones who should be in the kitchen?"
Bentley cocked a brow at her snug smile. "No, because I'm a terrible cook."
"Of course you are, you have a battalion of butlers that cook for you," She said with a snicker, swinging her foot back and forth where she sat. "I'd be shocked if any Wayne could work a toaster."
"Actually, there's only one butler," Bentley said, shooting her a fake glare. "And we can all use a toaster."
He heard Asten snicker from beside him. "No, Bruce can't."
"Okay, Bruce can't. But we can," Bentley finalized, glancing between Asten and Vera, and she chuckled.
"I'll believe it when I see it,"
"Thank God,"
Bentley glanced behind him, back at the door, and Rockie was there, just having entered the room. He tossed his bag on an empty chair next to Asten. "I was getting tired of having classes with nobody."
"Good morning, class!"
All the students quieted when a woman stalked through the door — she was wearing the same mandatory uniform, but her hair was dark and burned into long curls all down her back. She was pretty small, probably comparable in height to Vera, and could easily pass as a student if she hadn't been wearing a teachers uniform.
Rockie quickly sat down in his chair, and the woman seemed to be doing a headcount, because her eyes bounced between every child, lingering on some. Or maybe she was just being weird.
"I'm Mrs. Hastings, welcome to music theory!" She said with a smile, clapping her hands. She had big blue eyes that reminded Bentley of Dick. "We're actually going to be starting out class outside today, for a little get-to-know-me introduction! We'll give the rest of the students a few moments to roll in and then we'll be heading out near the pond on this beautiful day!"
The teacher sent them all one last smile, before walking over to her desk and fiddling with the computer.
Bentley glanced over at Vera when she sighed loudly from her seat. She turned to them, leaning forward so she could see Asten, too. "She does this every year. We have to show off our powers."
"Oh," Bentley muttered, glancing over at Asten, who glanced back. Bentley guessed a good way to get to know someone at a metahuman school would be to know their superpowers, but he also... well, he'd never used them in front of so many people. There was still a little voice that lingered in the back of his mind that told him superpowers were taboo. He had to keep them under wraps in public and anytime he could be on camera, and now, they were just... free to use them whenever they wanted. It was weird.
"Well, B, you've got a whole pond out there to play with," Asten said, patting Bentley's shoulder. "Better do something epic."
Bentley glanced blankly at him. "Thanks."
A mere moment before the late bell rang, Summer and Georgia jogged into the classroom. Their uniforms matched Vera's, but Summer had her blazer off and thrown over her arm, and Georgia's skirt was rolled at the top to make it more scandalous. (Which didn't take much, seeing as she was already kind of tall.) Her hair — which Bentley had never seen out of its braids — was down, silky and straightened pin-straight with an iron, while Summer's was half-up and curled.
He couldn't help but cringe internally when they walked in, and as much as he didn't want to think about what he'd overheard, he did anyways.
And, to make him feel even worse about it all, Rockie perked up about five joy levels when Georgia came in -- his face and eyes glowing in a way Bentley had never seen before. Like she made him... really, really happy.
Georgia smiled and bounced on the balls of her feet when she spotted him, making her way to the empty chair next to him with an excited sound that made Bentley's stomach churn. She was smiling at him, that big glowing smile that had made Asten speechless at the diner.
(Speaking of, Asten was very, very obviously not looking at her, but fiddling with his tie instead.)
Bentley watched as Georgia plopped down beside Rockie and the two immediately began to speak in hushed tones, like any other high school couple. It made Bentley sort of sick when Georgia reached over and ruffled his hair like he was her's, like she wasn't actively cheating on him goodness knows when in goodness knows how many ways. She didn't even seem to care. The smile never left her face, her eyes never flicked around guiltily, her expression never faltered.
She didn't care that she was cheating on Rockie, and that terrible truth decided to gnaw on Bentley's psyche like an acid. (Why wouldn't it?)
"Alrighty, I think that's everyone! Let's head outside!" Mrs. Hastings announced excitedly.
The whole class moved from their seats and made their way back to the doors of the building, where Mrs. Hastings led them out and around until they were in a nice sunny spot next to the large, greenish pond. Bentley, who was at the back of the group with Asten, Summer, and Vera, tried his best to ignore the fact that Rockie and Georgia were holding hands right in front of them (Even with the giant fancy glove things he had to wear.) Asten wasn’t even allowing himself to look at her, but stared dutifully at the grass instead.
“How cute,” Vera mused in a flat, sort of emotionless tone. Bentley glanced over at her, and she flicked her brown eyes toward the couple. “They never leave each other alone. It’s kind of gross.”
“Yeah, they… really… like each other,” Summer replied from Vera’s other side, Brushing her blonde hair away from her eyes, and Bentley didn’t miss the cringe that caught on her face for a half-second when she looked up at Georgia. Maybe, if he was lucky, Summer would give it all away before he had to do any secret-telling. How long was he supposed to hold onto that information for? It wasn’t his to share. Was there a point where it became his to share? Where was the line?
Bentley glanced over at Asten, who still thought the grass was very interesting. Any semblance of positive emotion had been completely wiped from his features, and while he was keeping his blank expression tight under wraps, Bentley could still decipher the miniscule hint of feelings on his face -- anxiety, guilt, shame, anger.
Bentley wished he could help, but he wasn’t even supposed to know Asten had kissed her in the first place. How would he have helped, anyways? Back at the Manor, most problems could be solved by using the cowl, or, if it was an emotional problem, all they had to do was sic Dick on them and they’d be laughing within the hour. Everything was out in the open -- there weren’t secrets, not anymore, not since Bentley had nearly died for them. But everything here at school was… hush-hush, and secret, behind closed doors. And Bentley wasn’t quite sure when those doors became his to open; if they ever did.
So, Bentley did the thing he was best at. He kept his mouth sewn shut.
Their class settled in the bright sunlight on the edge of the pond, where Mrs. Hastings came out in front of them and clapped one hand against a clipboard excitedly. “Alrighty! I do this with my kids every year and they think it's really fun! Everybody’s going to get a chance to show off their superpowers!”
The class broke into a few moments of quiet chatter, but Bentley said nothing. He just sort of glanced at Asten, Summer, and Vera, who also glanced around. He didn’t look at Rockie or Georgia.
“We’ll just go down the attendance list here, starting with…” She trailed off, glancing down at the clipboard in her hand. “Tyler Abbott!”
To Bentley’s surprise, it was the guy who was rude to Koa that moved from the group, coming out in front of them all with a smug look on his face. He sort of reminded Bentley of Jesse Todryk, the way he moved, the way he carried himself -- who Bentley’d pretty much removed from his memory files until that very moment. It made him cringe.
"Buckle your seatbelts,"
The whole class seemed to watch in quiet anticipation as he lifted one hand. The ground near him rumbled with a low noise, and vines and roots came sprouting up out of the grass at his will, growing bigger and twisting and turning until they finally settled into a massive, green weeping willow. Colorful wildflowers and weeds blossomed from nowhere around the base of the tree, spreading as far as for a few stragglers to grow around Bentley's feet. The flowing tree limbs sprouted bright yellow blossoms, and yellow petals fluttered down from them like a movie scene, blowing across the grounds in the light breeze.
“Wow!” Mrs. Hastings praised, but Tyler already had a triumphant look on his face. He took a bow like actors did at plays, then retreated back to the group with a really cocky look about him.
Bentley watched as a few more kids went -- a boy who made it rain momentarily, a girl whose scream created a shockwave that blew every single yellow petal off of the willow tree. After about six people, Mrs. Hastings called:
“Asten Evans!”
Bentley, Vera, Summer, Rockie, and Georgia all glanced over at him, which he didn’t seem to appreciate, given he was trying really hard to look at nothing but the ground. Hesitantly, he stepped forward, and for a few moments… nothing happened.
In the quiet, the class seemed to grow more restless, a few students glancing around in case something was going to barrel out of the shadows. Bentley just stood and watched -- watched as Asten’s expression changed minutely a few times, watched him glance down at his hands. He seemed uncomfortable, jittery, even, which was something Asten hardly ever became. He looked back at Bentley, who smiled reassuringly, and then his eyes flicked to Vera, and Summer, and Rockie.
And then they landed on Georgia.
And suddenly, with a whoosh of flame and a gust of wind louder than any fire Bentley had heard since half of Gotham burned, the entire willow tree exploded into violent, volatile, roaring flames, so hot they were blue. The brightness of the massive fire seemed to make even the sun’s light seem dim, and he was pretty sure the resulting wave of heat nearly set his hair on fire.
The entire class seemed to ooh and ah at it, Mrs. Hastings in particular, who fell into another bout of very excited clapping.
Asten retreated to his spot next to Bentley, and the flames died as quickly as they’d come -- though what was left of the tree was nothing more than a solid black, smoking hunk of wood. A few of the branches cracked and fell off, leaving it looking like one of those creepy dead trees from scary movies.
“Wow! That was amazing!” Mrs. Hastings announced, a giddy smile on her face. “Who’s next?! Oh, right, I have the list. Ha!”
Bentley glanced over at Asten, who glanced over at him. He sent him another reassuring smile -- because what else could Bentley even do? -- Asten smiled vaguely back, but took to mostly staring at the ground.
The next friend of his who got their name called was Vera, who didn’t even move from her spot. She merely looked around, and then her voice came in his head: “I’m telepathic.” And the whole class jumped and flinched like she’d said it to everyone. Mrs. Hastings made a big deal out of it, of course, slapping her clipboard in surprise.
Summer was right after her — though she didn’t actually do anything. She sort of just glanced around, then cleared her throat and said: “Well, I can’t do it right now, but when someone’s injured, I can heal them. Uh, wounds only, though — not like, diseases or sickness or anything.”
“Well that’s very cool, Summer!” Mrs. Hastings was quick to announce.
There was a girl who could turn invisible after her, and a few more, who Bentley didn’t pay much attention to. Probably because Rockie and Georgia were whispering to each other really close to each other’s faces right next to him and it made him feel awkward.
“Georgia Vallie!”
When it was her turn, Georgia plastered on her blinding smile and stepped out in front of the group, finally separating herself from her boyfriend.
“Watch your eyes,” She half-warned with a smirk. She lifted her hand to the sky and, with little to no effort, a giant lightning bolt arced down to the remainder of the charred willow tree with a crack! and a blinding flash, both of which left Bentley’s ears ringing and vision slightly hazy. He felt the electricity pass over his body, buzzing across his skin and lifting his hair.
“Wow!” Mrs. Hastings yelled, rubbing at her eyes, as did much of the class. “That was amazing!”
The willow tree was now reduced to a mere stump, black, charred, and smoking. Judging by the way Tyler was scowling, he wasn’t very pleased everyone was using his handiwork as a target.
“Bentley Wayne!”
It took Bentley a few seconds to realize she’d called his name. When he did realize it, though, he glanced at Asten and then took a tentative step forward, toward the remnants of the willow tree.
As long as he didn’t have a sudden panic attack, he’d be fine. Right?
He tried his best to ignore the fact that he could feel eyes crawling all over him, and focused, hard — though not too hard, because apparently he couldn’t handle that. A few dozen heartbeats started thudding in his head, blood moving with a soft whoosh through everyone’s veins. He turned his gaze to the large, green-tinged pond — there had to be thousands and thousands of gallons there, all moving gently, slowly, in response to the faint breeze, the fish, the pulse of the earth.
He was pretty sure Mrs. Hastings made a squeak of excitement when water began to slither out of the pond like snakes, moving through the grass toward the stump. When it reached it, it spiraled up the outside and began forming a new tree. More strands of water came to join the rest, floating from the pond through the air toward the stump, and Bentley focused really, really, really hard. So hard he only really snapped back into reality when Mrs. Hastings screeched: “Outstanding!”
When he looked at the stump, it was in the middle of a weeping willow made entirely from water, much larger than the first. The branches and flowing leaves were glimmering in the sun, casting a greenish light onto the ground that shifted as the water swirled.
“Incredible!” She continued with a clap, brushing her hair behind her ears. "Amazing!"
Bentley stepped back, and the water-willow folded in on itself and began to retreat back to the pond. The heartbeats and whooshing and swirling slowly faded from his ears, and he breathed easy.
(He'd done it without humiliating himself.)
Asten punched him lightly in the back. “That was cool, dude.”
Bentley glanced back at him, then moved back until he was beside him. “Thanks.”
When he glanced back up, he caught Summer’s eye, who gave him a thumbs up.
“That was really pretty,” Vera said from his right, and he sent her a light smile, which she returned readily.
Bentley didn’t notice how Tyler Abbott was giving him a death glare.
"Finally, Rockie Winchester!"
Rockie didn’t really step forward when his name was called, he just glanced at the teacher, holding up his gloved hands. “I take superpowers away,” He said simply.
“Ah, yes! Well, very good for self defense!” Mrs. Hastings said with a smile. “And that’s everyone! Just in time, too, class is about to end! Let’s get back to the room and gather your things!”
They began walking back, and Bentley cringed when he saw Rockie and Georgia holding hands again. Summer seemed to have a similar reaction, because as soon as she glanced at their intertwined fingers, she looked away.
Yeah... maybe she'd spill the beans before Bentley had to.
—
They made it back to the classroom just in time for the bell to chime.
“Finally, free period,” Rockie mumbled, as he grabbed his bag out of his chair.
“Yeah, Bentley and I have it, too,” Asten replied. Bentley grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder, as did Vera, Summer, and Georgia.
“Lucky. I have math,” Vera whined with a frown. “Math. I’m not good at math.”
“Don’t forget to sign up for the dance on your way out if you’re interested!” Mrs. Hastings yelled over the post-class chatter.
Bentley furrowed his brow, glancing at Asten and Rockie, who were walking out of the room next to him, while the three girls settled together in a trio behind them.
“You have to sign up for the dance?” Bentley questioned, glancing over at them.
Rockie snickered, though it seemed well-natured enough that Bentley assumed he wasn’t making fun of him. They went single-file through the door and then grouped up again in the primped, perfected Redwood Academy halls. “No, the school lets students play it if they audition. There's quite a few little bands and stuff here.”
“Oh,” Was what he replied. Students played the music at the dance. That was cool, he guessed -- not that he knew much abut how cool school dances should've been.
Suddenly, his phone started to vibrate -- when he fished it out of his pocket, he really expected a name like Dick or Bruce, calling to ask how his day was going. (They knew he’d be going to free period, because they knew his schedule.)
Instead, the name he found plastered on his screen was an unknown number, with a New York area code.
The only unknown number with a New York area code who knew Bentley’s phone number, besides spam, he guessed, would be…
Bellamy.
“I’m gonna take this real quick, I’ll find you,” He said to Asten, who nodded, but couldn't really conceal the brief concern that flashed in his green eyes. Bentley glanced around -- the only classes in session seemed to be coming from the same direction they were, because the hallways that branched off in front of them were completely empty.
Bentley quickly split off into one -- it was lined with classroom doors, but no one was coming out of them, and he vaguely saw Asten, along with Rockie and the girls, leave through the big front doors of the Shakespeare building.
He tapped the green button and held it up to his ear. “Hello?”
There was a moment of silence, and then a voice, very much not Bellamy’s, came: “Turn around.”
Bentley felt his heart sink at the order, but did so anyways -- and he didn’t even have time to as much as blink before he was shoved roughly into the wainscoted wall by a figure much larger than him. His phone slid from his hand, clattering on the hardwood, and even with his bag there to provide a little cushion, the air was knocked clean out of him.
“So you’re the little asshole who gave the class a show in first period. Funny guy,”
Tyler Abott was in Bentley’s face, his expression stoic and hardened with something like rage. Bentley didn’t say anything. What was he supposed to say? His heart was suddenly beating three times faster than it had been and Tyler was pushing really hard on his shoulders in a way that would probably bruise. He raised his brows at Bentley’s silence, a smirk filtering across his face.
“Not much for talking, huh? Fine, I won’t be either,”
Bentley hardly had time to process anything other than a flashback of Jesse Todryk’s vomit green eyes before, in what seemed like a millisecond, Tyler had literally punched him across the face. Pain exploded across the left side of head, and he thought the sheer force alone would have knocked him flat over if Tyler didn’t grab the collar of his shirt in a death grip and shake him like a snow-globe. He shoved him into the wall again, hard enough for the back of his head to clack against the wood. Bentley could feel blood on his left temple -- that's about when he realized Tyler was wearing rings.
“I know you're new here, Wayne, so I’ll give you time to learn your place,” He all but growled in Bentley’s face. “But if you ever decide to-“
“Tyler?”
Bentley had never been happier to hear a girl's voice in his entire life.
Tyler whipped around, and Bentley glanced down the hallway, his eyes coming to rest on Summer, who was standing on the other end of it. She had her bag on her back and her blazer in her hands, watching him incredulously.
Tyler promptly let go of Bentley's shirt, and then had the audacity to smooth down his collar. "Summer, hi, you... uh, you look nice today."
Summer walked down the hallway toward them, her concerned gaze flicking from him to Bentley. "Do I?"
"Of course! You look good every day!" Tyler exclaimed, still fiddling with the collar of a shirt that was very much not his. Summer raised an eyebrow, and Bentley watched with secondhand embarrassment as the scene payed out in front of him, Tyler releasing his shirt and wiping his hands on his pants.
The bully just sort of smiled crookedly at her for a while, and finally, he cleared his throat and started off with a quick: "Well, I'm going to go now!"
"I think that's a good idea," She replied, and he jogged away with a few glanced back toward them.
Bentley and Summer watched him fade into the distance, before turning down another empty hall.
(First day of school and Bentley had already been punched in the face. That had to be some kind of record, he was sure.)
Summer snickered, leaning down and picking up Bentley's phone. "What a simp."
Bentley said nothing, but took his phone when she handed it to him. She exhaled, her warm brown eyes flicking across his face, and she brushed some of her blonde hair out of her eyes. "Are you okay? It... looks like his ring got you."
"I've been worse," Bentley replied. Before he could produce more words, Summer brought her hand up to touch his face, her thumb lightly grazing over where Bentley felt the familiar warmth of blood.
"Here, stay still," She ordered, and Bentley had nothing else to do but obey.
She brought her other hand up to his chin and turned his head sideways, then took a deep breath and blew it out, seeming to prepare herself.
Bentley glanced up at her when she started to ever-so-gently brush her fingertips against the side of his head where he'd been hit, her brown eyes tracing the spot carefully. She started at his temple and softly dragged her fingertips all the way down to his jawline, a cool, almost tingly sensation blossoming in their wake. The pain in his head and on his face seemed to flee at her touch, and she repeated the motion, so delicately her touch felt like nothing but wind.
In a few seconds, the coolness disappeared, and it took any semblance of pain with it. He didn't even feel the blood on his face anymore.
Summer glanced at him, her dark eyes meeting his for a few quiet seconds. Then she cleared her throat, her cheeks flushing a soft shade of pink as she removed her hands from his face. "I, uh, you're... good as new."
Bentley brought a hand up to touch where he'd been hit, satisfied that no pain erupted there, and blood didn't even come away on his fingers. "Thanks, Summer."
Summer smiled, and her brown eyes seemed to twinkle. He didn't miss the way her face went just a hint of a shade darker when he said her name.
"You're welcome."

Obey me lesson 12 thoughts and Solomon
Spoilers ahead for Nightbringer and S2 of ObeyMe
At first I thought maybe the curse originally was going to be forced to keep a promise, like most people. I thought about it and it made very little sense given the music and how Thirteen reacted.
So we get comatose, which makes more sense in context with the music. Actually wait no, we’re literally on the verge of death before we’re taken to the HoL where Simeon casts a spell on us and prevents us from dying. Side boys saving our lives <3
But the thing I wanna really talk about is the implications this has for lesson 11. Since we were kinda going off of the assumption that all promises were bounding we assumed Solomon wanted us to make that promise to stop us from siding against humanity. He said he didn’t remember the rule but we all kinda brushed it off as him lying. But since we now know that the making a promise would’ve killed MC, and thus anyone who makes one, Im inclined to believe Solomon when he said he forgot.
MC’s powers are still working to prevent the traps from being deadly because Mammon is turned into a Lil D when he breaks one, like in S2. So if MC’s powers were protecting themselves even slightly, I shudder to think what would’ve happened otherwise. Probably an instant death if I had to guess.
So with all of this, I believe Solomon truly did forget. He’s having a hard time remembering things from this time. Things were crazy at that moment and it could’ve just as easily slipped his mind. I also think he’s being honest when he says he doesn’t remember why Barbatos hates him, as he insists on it many times. That may be me being naive but I do believe he was telling the truth.
Solomon wouldn’t kill MC. No matter how much of a threat they are to the human realm.
In S2 when our powers were out of control and going to destroy all 3 realms Solomon says he was willing to stab Lucifer originally to protect the human realm but since that would upset MC so he wasn’t going to do it.
He puts MC’s feelings over the safety of not just the human realm, but every realm.
The option of killing you doesn’t come up. He’s not even considering it. You even have the dialogue option when he asks what to do to say something along the lines of “Guess we’ll die” and Solomon’s like “Yeah guess we will”
When I tell you S2 is where I fell in love with this man this is what I mean.
Alls this to say, he wouldn’t risk MC’s life for the safety of the human realm. And with the context of S2 it seems almost obvious. Man is down bad, and while he’d love for you to share his values he wouldn’t kill you or endanger your life if you didn’t.
“I just can’t stand the thought of making you angry…of having you hate me. So now I don’t know what to do.”

im pretty sure tumblr straight up gobbled up my ask from yesterday (if not um, whoops sorry!) so belated sigrid swednesday ask game submission: 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 16, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 30
happy sigrid swednesday thursday everyone. [ask game]
6. How would the player go about meeting them in Act 1? What is their introduction?
Ohh probably the ruins where you can find Withers, arguing with the people there. "Let me in or I'll cut you." Being the first thing you hear probably. When you walk in on it she'll probably point her weapon at you, biggest scowl on her face. Though you can quickly tell by her demeanor she's more scared than actually a threat (at the moment.) You can choose to either talk her down, encourage the attack, or attack her. The first two options can actually lead into her recruitment.
7. Describe their arc. How would a player help resolve it? What choices can be made? Can your Tav be turned down a dark path, or pulled to a lighter one?
Sigrid's main arc would definitely be whether she becomes an Unholy Assassin of Bhaal or not. She is generally more inclined towards doing it if you don't intervene, because if left to just her own instincts it's.. "Kill, kill, kill again" quite literally.
But she can be pretty easily persuaded into a path of light, especially if you have high approval.
I think helping would mostly involve intervening (quite literally) when she wants to submit to the urge. Like you could stop her from killing Alfira, stop her from sharing the Grove's location with Minthara (she'll try to regardless if the player does or not.)
8. After Act 3, what does their life look like? What are they talking about at the reunion party?
Post-game she would probably just live in Baldur's Gate, helping rebuild. She'll talk of the possibility of moving elsewhere, because the city has so many negative memories for her.
She does have a job as a writer now! She tries to write true crime books which get.. reviews on being eerily realistic with some gory details.
11. What is your Tav’s go-to comfort food?
Oh beef steak definitely! She likes the texture and taste combo, feel like she'd love to eat that.
12. Does your Tav have any tattoos or scars? Why?
Yep! She has one right across her face, and her neck. Both self-inflicted, in a show of worship to Bhaal when she was just getting initiated you know. She has a tattoo that's just a stripe from the edge of her lower lip to her chin.. because she thought it looked cool when she was like twenty.
13. What is your Tav’s main color palette? Why do they choose those colors?
BROWNS AND BLACKS!!! SHE LIKES THE NEUTRALITY!!! IT DOESNT HURT HER EYES!!!
16. What do they do for fun, when not adventuring? What are their hobbies?
Sigrid is pretty fond of learning how to read! Because of her lobotomy (thanks orin) she has to relearn how to do this and she actually practices a lot with Karlach and Gale. I kind of rambled about this in my other post in my tags- but this is based on dialogue you can have with Karlach about reading together. Since she has to relearn I imagine reading with Karlach and sometimes Gale helps her and genuinely entertains her.
18. Where/with whom do they feel safest?
Karlach!! Unsurprisingly. But Karlach is truly the only person who she can.. confide in, be quiet and stay in spot, never worry about saying the wrong thing. (Not that she can't say anything wrong, but she's less stressed about it with Karlach.)
20. What is their relationship to touch? Do they shy away from it? Do they need it to feel present?
complicated. From some people she craves it, she kind of wants it every day at the very least, to feel something, to feel real. (i.e. Karlach, Wyll, Shadowheart.) But with most others she'll snap if she's touched without a go-ahead or warning. (Snap as in get annoyed.)
21. Describe a defining moment from their past, which makes them who they are today!
Hmmm this sweet moment she had with Orin when they were both kids in the Bhaal temple where she braided her hair. They talked normally about things for a moment, about things they like. (In their weird, bhaalspawn ways maybe.) Both had an affinity to art, Orin was the painter whereas Sigrid was the storyteller. It was a connection of creativity and care, and through it she puts a lot of value in art and hair
24. What does your Tav consider to be their own biggest character flaw?
Incompetency. She feels she's incompetent at.. a lot. (Emotional intimacy, sexual intimacy, battle, writing, reading, music- practically everything. Except for killing. She's good at that in her eyes.) Though she rarely shows this insecurity.
25. What is something they would die on a hill over?
HMMMMMM. Even through the negative associations she has with BG, she'd defend that damn city from any negative reputation with her life.
27. What is the worst thing they’ve ever done/said to someone they love?
Ohhh. Hm. Well there's this line from a wip i'm not even remotely done to finishing where she tells Karlach, during one of her.. lets say Dark Urge moments where she practically tells Karlach "I'd kill you just to send you back to the Hells, Hell-dog." Karlach would argue that's not really 'Sigrid' though, it is, but it also isn't. Sig apologizes profusely the next morning, its definitely the one of the things she regrets saying most or even thinking. The Urge is nasty, and its the blight of her existence until its gone.
30. What does your Tav want more than anything?
Freedom, peace. The sense that when she wakes up and makes a decision it's hers and no one else's.
#THANKS FOR THE ASK YEAH TUMBLR GOBLLED UP THE OTHER ONE BUT ITS FINE <3<3#everyone cheer for sigrid lore#the worst thing she said one made me sad. Good! she's a bad person sometimes.#anyway i love her goodbye#roscoe rambles#oc: sigrid#ask game
