While Zane will always be a narcissist to me, there are also some borderline traits he has. It's possible for him to have both, yes, but I don't want my perception of him to be solely mental illnesses. Because I notice a lot of the ninjago fandom tends to see characters less of actual people and more of lists of diagnostic criteria. So I'm trying to find a balance. For now though, I definitely do see him with both. He fits traits of both (I will cover more in the future, but for now just for some examples: fear of rejection, Pixal is literally his FP, excessive need for admiration, poor self esteem). But he is his own person with more to him than just that of course. He has interests and hobbies and is more than a punching bag. Again, I'm trying to find a balance between him being a genuine actual person and him also having a lot of mental issues that do need to be considered when I talk about him. This is one of the main reasons I have yet to write anything with him, because I want to figure out how to not make it seem like i see him as nothing but his narcissism and bpd.

when stu was dating tatum (because billy told him to) did he actually like/“love” her in a romantic way ?(ik love is a strong word) because in debaser/wom he talks about how he actually liked her and all of their friends and kinda how he misses(?) all of them.

is this like strictly platonic and sexual? do you think he liked her sexually(well because they fucked so that might be a stupid question😭) like obviously he loves billy and they have a deeper relationship than anyone with anything and if he did like anyone else it’s definitely not the same as him and billy’s relationship, but is he like billy in the way that he couldn’t have a “meaningful relationship” with someone other than billy?

Stu is really complicated in terms of the way he values other people, but no, he didn't meaningfully love Tatum. If she had lived long enough to threaten his and Billy's plan then he wouldn't be remembering her in a nostalgic way.

Stu is different from Billy in that he's significantly more social, he craves social interaction, so while he doesn't really value people in a normal way he does want and enjoy having friends. I don't think he really considered what the effect of killing all of his friends would be, he was so high on Billy and the idea of being together after that he wasn't really prepared to lose a bunch of social stimulation all at once. In that way he does miss people like Tatum and Randy. They were fun to him, he enjoyed their presence in his life, but he also sees them as disposable in a way that Billy isn't.

I do think that Stu has the capacity for affection and attraction to more people than Billy is, he'd probably be (unethically) non-monogamous in a world where Billy doesn't exist. Realistically I think Stu has done a lot of cheating, like he'd be dating Casey and hooking up with some random other girl at a party when she's not there. The only person he's ever been emotionally faithful to is Billy, so in that way yeah, I don't think he could have a meaningful relationship with someone else, but I do think the relationships he would have would be a little more substantial, and could at least have the potential of being a bit healthier.

In contrast to Billy, I think Stu would have more of an ability to deepen relationships over time and there's people like Leslie he's attached to in a different way. I don't necessarily think that deepening happens a lot of the time though, because he often behaves in ways that make people less willing to let him get closer.

Stu's most well-adjusted non-Billy romantic future would be something like solo-poly where he wouldn't have any primary partners, but that's really hopeful lmao. Even if he got there eventually he would still spend a good chunk of his life just being a serial cheater. He'd be the kind of guy who just wouldn't really take you seriously when you find out he's cheating. He'd be like "Aw shit, sucks you feel that way but this situation is kinda harsh now so I'm gonna dip. No hard feelings!"

I think there's some chance of him meeting people who would have the patience to teach him that there are ways to have less exclusive relationships without being such an asshole about it. But realistically even the version of him sort of trying to do it right is mostly doing that because its annoying when people are always mad at you all the time, and he's still going to be a dick about things. Other people's emotions just don't affect him as much as Billy's do, so he's often pretty emotionally insensitive.

To get back to Tatum, Stu genuinely liked her personality, found it fun to hang out with her, and yeah, was sexually attracted to her. Sex isn't always romantic, some people can genuinely just enjoy having sex as a fun activity with friends. It's fun to do the feel-good activity with people you like and I think that's how it was for Stu, and Tatum as well to an extent. Because I think Tatum was also significantly more attached to Sidney than to Stu.

The thing is that there are parts of Stu that he just wouldn't know how to share with someone other than Billy, and part of the reason he can share them with Billy is because they grew up together. Stu's very aware that he has urges and thoughts that would get him put on an FBI watchlist, things that would alienate most of the people in his life if they knew.

Billy grew up developing the same urges with him. They've been escalating together for years, and if Billy wasn't around Stu likely would have been doing it on his own. If he did have someone else I think that relationship would be a lot more like the 'peer-pressure' relationship that some people think he and Billy had. It would have been someone Stu manipulated into killing with him, because Stu fundamentally doesn't want to be alone.

At the end of the day, the events of Debaser are a learning experience for Stu. No, he doesn't value Tatum the way he does Billy, he wasn't romantically attracted to her, but a non-Billy friendship is something that did bring value to his life.

In a cynical way I think women in his life have been willing to do emotional labor that men haven't because yk, toxic masculinity and gender roles. As a result I think he really does like having a close friendship with women like Tatum and Tammy, and he doesn't need the sexual aspect he had with Tatum for it to be worthwhile for him. While he would trade that friendship for Billy, he would much rather be allowed to have both.

Where its already established how crazy they are for each other, but Reader has yet to leave her vile husband (its the roaring 20's, so it's not like she's really in a place to divorce him anyway, unforch, but that does make their affair all the more enticing) (also im totally and entirely disregarding NY in this scenario btw, lemme be delusional xoxo) and I can see Reader like. Drugging her husband every night to make him drowsy and crash before he can force her into anything. Then she sneaks off into the night where she finds herself at Alastor's doorstep, and he welcomes her with open arms. Being the gentleman he is, he'll encourage her to share her feelings, how her day has been, what that disgusting husband of hers has been up to and more importantly, did he hurt her today? Is she okay? If shes harmed, he'll do his best to take care of her, console her before leading her into a soft and slow, passionate kiss. One that Reader's been desperately craving and she reaches out to hold his face. He's pulling her in and leaning her back into the couch until he's hovering over her. They're groping each other and Reader, desperate to be loved in a way thats meaningful, reaches for Alastor's collar first. Her fingers are clumsy but determined as shes releasing the buttons on his waistcoat. This certainly isnt the first time this has happened, but Alastor remains pleasantly surprised everytime she initiates first, but that doesnt mean he'll giving her the satisfaction of pleasuring him first. No matter what, its always his utmost duty to treat her until shes had her fill - until shes begging for him to finally be inside her, and god knows he could never deny her. With Alastor, she wants it all. She wants his everything and anything he is willing to provide her. as always this is very long but i think it's important to paint the whole picture, please bare with me!!

so, important to note, Kenny doesn't have a great relationship with his mum for a very long time. he doesn't rekindle his relationship with her until his third year in PT, and he hadn't spoken to her for ... many years prior to this.

evelyn and george knew Kenny's grandpa (also named Kendal, lol), and evelyn specifically had a hell of a lot of respect for him. they were good friends! kenny's grandpa was a pretty beloved member of the community.

so, when kenny comes to PT, evelyn is all over him, obviously. she invites him over for dinner multiple times, tells him stories of his grandpa, and she really, truly sees kenny's grandpa in him. they're both very gentle, caring people. she loves kenny just as much as she did his grandpa.

so, obviously, when alex and kenny become friends, she's really happy about this! she's glad alex has a friend who isn't haley, and she truly believes that kenny is a good influence, of sorts, on alex. for a long time, prior to K+A friendship, she was very worried about alex. he was kind of... closed off? his only friend was haley (and emily, by association) and he didn't really do much. alex was fine, she didn't have much reason to worry about him, but there was, obviously, the gay thing.

alex's lack of understanding about / his willingness to accept his sexuality really held him back as an individual, because it was somthing he was very insecure about. evelyn had her suspicions (as did literally everyone, lol), but she didn't know anything for sure, and never brought it up with alex.

she figured out pretty quickly that there was something other than friendship going on, but again, never pushed it, never said anything. UNTIL, summer of year 2, when A+K stop talking for a few weeks (this is because Kenny asked Alex to make their relationship official, and Alex rejected it due to his insecurities). she talks to kenny about it, but doesn't tell him her suspicions explicitly, but. you know. heavily implies that she knows what's going on.

she talks to Alex not long later, then other things ensue, blah blah blah. but here's the point i'm trying to make (LMFAO):

kenny and evelyn are family. she claims him as family from the second she meets him, because to her, Grandpa Kendal was also her family. She had kept in touch with Kenny's mother up until his brother's death. she knows Kenny in more ways than he's aware of, and was willing to accept him from the get-go, whether alex was involved or not. she treats him in the same way a blood-related grandmother would, in her Evelyn way -- Feeding him, checking on his wellbeing, asking about his life and genuinely seeking him out in order to spend time with him. even after Kenny and his mother reconcile, Evelyn is more of a 'mother' to Kenny than his own mum ever is.

kenny, who's been deprived of a 'family' for so long (dead brother, poor relationship with his parents, his dad never comes back into the picture) appreciates evelyn so, so much. truly, he loves her the same as he would a family member, too. he appreciates her support, her wisdom, and absolutely adores her & alex's relationship. it's all very sappy and meaningful and emotional for him. they become very close once K+A are in a relationship -- He visits her regularly when Alex is out of town for gridball, and makes sure that he makes sure she's well and healthy. keeping her company, you know?

okay my biggest regret for this letter is that I don't actually have enough platonics to fit in here, like really major platonics because they all went to the familials AHDHFHSJDJJS but hey as long as i have someone, i'm more than willing to talk about them 💚

im gonna throw a little curveball here and start off with hero! before i got into poke.mon wholely, i was in a very deep o.mori mood. i loved the game so much, i played it blind and found myself to really adore hero. words cannot describe how happy i feel when i see him. he's a nice mix of comfort character and platonic f/o to me. i think he's the first guy that made me really feel so attached to him and talk about him like he was my best friend - i was literally branded as the hero friend in my circle just because of it 😭 as i played the game, i couldn't help but feel so connected to him. he's so mature, he's a great big brother, hilariously the charming type and he's not big headed. he's in fact a little self insecure... and part of me really just understood him well there. my sympathy and care for him grew all the more when i see him in the current timeline, especially what he had to go through for mari and kel. i remember being so happy when i saw overworld hero debut for the first time, heck i'm pretty sure i almost teared up in joy. hero is most definitely the highlight of my o.mori journey, his character just so happened to connect to so many favorite little topics i liked (him with sharks? cooking? love interest in mari?) so many things to love about him! its safe to say that hero is truly the first platonic i ever cared so deeply for. i'm a little sad that I don't have that spark at the moment to go back to him due to fandom jumps but just know that i'm absolutely down to talk about hero anytime

anndddd of course, as many of you all expected... it's blue! if not appleshipping, then it's the silly caramelapple goofies! blue was not gonna escape my grip if i were to romantic f/o red. like come on, this guy is the second closest to being associated with red. but that aside - i really like sun and moon blue more! i'm not exactly too fond of his younger alternative but for the character development i 100 respect him. sun and moon blue however is just the perfect mixture of - fun, mature and cocky. he's a bit of a flashy guy but at least he knows how to hold his ground. blue is just cool. he's definitely a lot more sociable than red but that's what makes the dynamic even funner! with jaide inserted in the group he becomes the token responsible adult and i think its funny 💚

(jaide stone is on the far left) if im being honest... reading poke.spe is not the same to me anymore because i always have the pok.espe parents in my brain no matter what. it can be over the littlest, trivial things yet my brain will go "ooh, what would maroon/clear do in here" like genuinely a lot of our fanon ideas are just real to me at this point. red has a brother?? fuck yeah dude. crystal's mom is meh but her divorced husband is better?? yeah. yeah REAL. the best part about having clear and maroon close to me is that i actually tend to imagine what would jaide be doing with them together, i mean clear has a little connection to d.evon corp and that's already a great bridge to ponder over how jaide and clear interacts. we may have not written anything TOO canon yet but the ideas are there. and then there's maroon with red meeting gold. there's a perfect bridge to make jaide at least interact with them. i know we're just floating on the bridge of ideas and we didn't actually canonize as much with the parents together but it's just so fun to think about, y'know?? maroon and clear are just written so amazingly well to me and well we're here to deliver therapy to our kids 🤧🤧 i promise you there's a lot of times where i wanted to cook smth that unites all 3 of them together but I just didn't have the time 😭 btw maroon is definitely the person i'd run to for comfort because she wouldn't judge no matter what and would find a way to comfort and of course give a nice nice delicious meal. clear is probably a little more difficult to befriend but if i imagine if you at least get past his cold ice exterior he's a very sweet man (and maroon can vouch for that ☝️☝️)

Okay, but picture twisted doggie land and the owners of each dorm are the villians! So

queen of hearts has her pups trained and pampered, a lot like how the queen of England was with her digs. They were spoiled, and kinda bratty. They behave for her, most of the time, and don’t like most other people. Riddle is her clingy baby, Trey and Cater are the two who are nice to kids, and Ace and Deuce are fighting in the background. They’re the ones who dig up the rose garden.

Scar lets his boys do what they want, all the time! They are reckless, and not behaved. Ruggie steals food, Leona snarls to scare kids, Jack behaves but that’s cause he just wants to be friends. Scar has them as guard dogs, the hyenas are the main carers for them.

Ursula also babies her boys, but the twins hate her pampering. They wanna run around! Azul sits there and preens, he’s Ursula’s doll, dress him up, he can pose, sit pretty, just praise him! Don’t worry about the twins murdering that one neighbor, just look at pretty Azul!

Jafar has his boys well behaved, silent, poised, they sit on either side of him, Jamil has perfected the deadpan, staring into your soul look, Kalim is vibrating in joy, wants to be friends. Kalim helps soften Jafar, he sighs exasperatedly as Kalim comes in covered in glitter somehow.

Queen has her beautiful boys, Vil and Rook are her two pride and joys, sitting perfectly, they know how to pose, how to walk gracefully, how to just be super elegant. Epel is her new puppy, who is still very much puppy. What’s worst is Epel sometimes drags Rook into running around and making a mess. Vil stares on in disgust. Queen has her hunter clean Rook and Epel.

Hades has his two boys, and is so tired. Idia looks the scariest, but is always cowering and hiding behind him, and Ortho looks adorable but is willing to fight to the death. He got the worst of both worlds! He still loves his doggies though! Hades entire camera roll is of his boys. He shows them off to Zeus.

Malifacent has the best behaved out of them all, all sit poised and ready, they all March beautifully behind her, only problem is Silver falls asleep while sitting and she needs to wake him up sometimes, Sebek barks so loudly metal poles ring, and Lilia likes causing problems when left alone. Malleus is her Velcro dog, if he was smaller he would love to be her little lap dog. Is jealous Lilia gets to be.

Hello!! (Sorry this is super late i got very distracted and i am very sick (so if im incoherent, that's why)) I uhhhhh do have a lot of thoughts but it's really hard to write it all down 😭😭. But I can try!

So, in this au, pokemon are a lot more ferocious and more like dangerous fantasy creatures that you'd normally see in a jrpg or smth (in simple terms) so people don't really befriend them or anything (basically legends arceus but people have a worse relationship with them).

And as for the people.... humans are basically *explosions* dead (Ethan is one of the few), the biggest race are the elves (Kris is one... but i have yet to illustrate her (i have a sketch tho (high school is kicking my ass)), and almost every race you'd see in DnD is here too...

But nothing here is super rustic or medieval... aside from smaller towns. Big cities and such are much more developed and are closer to our modern day (with fantasy twists).

Anyway, as for the plot, Ethan basically wakes up one day and sees that his entire town is destroyed (he has been asleep for several years (no, i will not elaborate (that's for another time)). He runs into Silver who was "investigating" the ruins *cough* he's looking for valuables *cough* and Silver is immediately hostile towards him (here, demons and humans have a VERY rocky history).

Silver disappears after attacking him (he only backed off upon seeing how utterly defenseless and incapable Ethan was) and Ethan tries to find an inn to ask for information.

GUESS WHAT!! The nurses are now bartenders. They provide travelers with information and maps and even a place to stay if they're willing to pay. Ethan orders an applejuice and experiences a fuck ton of denial when he's told about the genocide of humankind. And after experiencing severe mental and emotional pain, Ethan gets redirected to a nearby city that can help him find a new home (he's an orphan now (help him)).

On the way, he meets Lyra. I have... many silly ideas with her. She is a folklore-obsessed bard on the hunt for her fellow (feral (not... cat people...)) cats. And as Ethan tags along with her, they look for them. Something something once she finds all the cats she will be able to revert back to her "twu fowrm" something something.

And they eventually meet Kris; an esteemed mage who is a master at ice magic and knowledged about magical artifacts. She only comes with Ethan and Lyra because she has nobody else to help her with her fieldwork. Also, she's just genuinely curious about a living human being walking around town like it's nothing.

I.... never explained Ethan's power.... back to the pokemon thing: legendaries are more like gods that people genuinely fear (and thus, respect). The people who lived in Ethan's town worshiped Lugia in this universe. Thus, many of them were blessed with intelligence and a very small portion recieved some sort of power. Ethan was one of them and he is able to turn his compassion (haha spirit... or uh... soul... haha *gets pulverized*) into literal healing magic... but if he's feeling overwhelmed, the opposite will happen.

Oh and the other characters are here too... they're just considerably different... (esp Lance and anyone associated with team rocket (tr doesn't exist here, its just a family of silly demons (and a moody silver that loves his alone time and independence)) like, Lance is still a dragon master, it's just people think that dragon masters don't exist and they're just a fairytale (Also, Lance is just more reserved and isolated since he's not someone of high status (a champion... you get it))

Your post about people is so true though, it's honestly so hard to make friendships (or even just be nice to some people tbh). Sometimes you just don't vibe with a person, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I mean irl, there is someone in my friend group who I just don't vibe with at all, but all of my friends really like him and enjoy hanging out w him. It is quite hard sometimes to be friendly ahaha (it does make me feel like a horrible person tbh, but what can you do? But I think the whole thing of how he got into our friend group is a bit strange. Without context it sounds bad, but I promise it is genuinely kinda weird lol). But definitely if you ever find that our convo is too dry or weird, don't hesitate to tell me!! I’m doing pretty good!! I have my first piano lesson in like 2 days.. I’m really nervous for it because it’s my first one in over a year since I took a break and it’s with a new teacher. I had lessons with her for a bit in 2020 but they were mostly over zoom because of covid. these ones are in person and I haven’t had in person lessons since 2019 🧍‍♀️ I also haven’t practiced piano since last year when I was taking lessons and even then I feel like I didn’t practice at all between lessons cause I was losing motivation.. so realistically I probably haven’t practiced properly and consistently for 2 years fml 😭😭 but hopefully everything will go well. I’m hoping I’ll like this teacher again I don’t really remember having an opinion on her when I had her 4 years ago, but I remember switching back to my old piano teacher who had moved to England since I was doing online lessons anyway. I’ve had her for around 6 years total so I’m very comfortable with her she’s basically made me the pianist I am today lol. but I think in person lessons would be beneficial which is why I’m trying this out instead.

Pining in a completely different sense of the word there: a nice fun, obsessive, desperate pining where they're willing to do whatever and kill whoever it takes as long as they're back together. They can ALL do some murder, as a treat <3 They deserve that much I think lmao

And man, that whole name scene? From the very beginning I knew that Chris was gonna (unintentionally) distract her with her name until she couldn't take it anymore and finally interrupt him. But that whole 'holy' line? Yeah that one came out of left field for even me alskdjlaksjd Vividly remembering writing that bit and going 'oh shit, that's fucking good I am so good at this shit'... before immediately tearing out my hair for the next and calling myself a fraud probably not even thirty seconds later SDFKLJSDFJ

And that whole 'kicked out of the polycule' line? That was the one single line I had had planned out since I started writing this one like two years ago. And yet, the line had originally been a JOSH line. Delivered flatly and sarcastically and all. But when I finally got to writing that last scene in question, I started second guessing myself and wondered if it was a Chris line instead. In the end, the only reason I went with the Chris-delivery though was simply because I liked how bittersweet it would be if the line was met with not a short and tired snort, but the first time any of them had a chance for some genuine full-bodied laughter before the tears finally came on once the reality hit.

(Also, if do end up doing something with the whole "If Chris kissed Ashley, could he say he Chrissed her?" dream line than you have only yourself to blame. Gonna make you rage quit in the beginning of a fic if your not careful ;P)

The latest and greatest bad guy that Adrian and Chris were trying to take down was a now rogue member of the suicide squad. Chris had explained that they were on the first team —having been sent to die as decoys. Chris explained that he was pleasantly surprised they were even still alive; he thought their luck would run out eventually. Adrian didn’t seem to care who they were, since they were causing problems. Anyone Harcourt said was an issue was a bad guy, as far as Adrian was concerned.

Though, Harcourt didn’t explicitly say they were an issue. Just that they had been spotted.

Adrian didn’t really understand the explanation, assuming Chris meant that they just got chosen. But quite literally —they were lucky. They could push things in their favor if they willed it to.

“Let’s split up,” Chris ordered, pointing down a hallway. “I’ll go east, you west.”

“That’s north and south.”

“No it fucking isn’t.”

“Uhh I’m pretty sure it is,” Adrian argued. He pulled his phone out. “Hey Siri, which way is north where I am?”

“Dude, put that shit away,” Chris demanded, snatching his phone. “Just go that way, I’ll go this way. We’ll meet back here in fifteen.”

Chris threw Adrian’s phone back at him, taking off down the hallway. Adrian huffed in frustration, pocketing his phone, then taking off the opposite direction. He kicked open each door, peering inside each as he made his way down towards the double doors at the end of his corridor.

He had this weird feeling wash over him suddenly, like this overwhelming need to drop his weapon. Adrian didn’t, of course, but there was a weird urge still poking at him to do so. His brow furrowed under his mask as he shoved open another door, pointing his machete into the room as he examined it.

“Come out, come out wherever you are,” he sang into the empty space, stepping further in.

“Marco!”

Adrian spun, looking around with his sword out as he meet the gaze of who was probably the prettiest fucking person he’d ever seen. Hands on their hips, head cocked to the side and a sword at their throat —they just grinned at him devilishly. It made his stomach twist into knots. Why were the bad guys always so hot? What the shit?

“Polo?” He responded, though he seemed unsure.

“Did Waller send you?” They asked, reaching up to touch the blade against the throat.

“Who?”

They looked around for a moment, brow raised. Usually when they asked straight forward questions, they got honest answers. It was a great perk of their powers; forced honesty. It was just their luck, after all. But the masked man in front of them seemed genuinely unsure who they were asking about.

“Are you here with a team or anything?” They continued to prompt.

“Oh yeah, I’m with Peacemaker!”

They made a face. “Gross. Here I thought they’d at least send someone worth fighting.”

“Hey!” He yelled at them, pressing the blade a bit further into their skin. Their hands went up. “I’m Vigilante. I’m definitely worth fighting!”

“You really wanna fight me?” They asked, brow raised as they pushed the sword away now. Adrian couldn’t help but let them; which annoyed him.

“Uh, obviously. That’s why I’m here.”

“Luck won’t be on your side,” they warned him, suddenly thrusting their leg out and knocking him back on the ground.

Adrian let out a surprised yell, falling back on his ass. The machete slid across the room as they stood straight, hands back on their hips. He stared up at them through his visor, surprised how easily they got the jump on him. Adrian scrambled up, unsheathing a knife as he swiped back at them. They ducked, suddenly snatching one of the other knives he had on his belt and holding it up with a grin.

“That the best you got?” They asked, motioning for him to come at them.

Adrian slashed the knife again, but they blocked it with the knife they stole from him. Every move he made, they blocked or countered with ease. When Adrian determined that the knife fight wasn’t going to do anything, he resorted to grabbing at them and throwing them to the ground. They seemed surprised, suddenly, that he got the upper hand. But they didn’t stay down long, kicking his feet from under him.

He cussed angrily, but they were on top of him now, knife to his throat. Adrian swallowed hard, looking up at them through the red tint of his visor. That same devilish grin appeared as they leaned in.

“I think I win, Vigilante,” they taunted, “What’s it gonna be like to die by your own knife?”

“Fuck, I don’t know. Probably hot, honestly,” he offered up. They looked down at him with surprise. “You wanna see my face? Why do I wanna show you my face?”

“I’m just really lucky you like me,” they said simply, reaching for his mask. Even though he had offered —very much against his will, because he really didn’t want to —Adrian wiggled under them, trying to fight back as they tossed his mask to the side. There was another surprised look, and then a hum left their mouth. “Oh, shit. You’re cute. That’s a shame.”

“It doesn’t have to be,” he quickly said, blinking some as his vision adjusted to not only being normal colors, but also being blurry as shit. “Hey, let’s just make out. Like let’s just kiss. See what that’s like. I’m cute, you’re cute. You’re already on top of me —“

“You’re seriously asking me to make out when I have a knife to your throat?”

“It’s really hot, honestly.”

“Vig!”

Chris burst through the door, and they looked up with annoyance. They hummed again, considering their options. “Maybe another time, Vigilante.”

“Oh, no, wait —“

But they were off of him without another word, taking off towards the window. Chris started shooting, but every shot missed as they crashed through the window. The fall alone should have killed them, and Adrian shoved himself off the ground to run after them.

They were gone though.

“Fuck dude,” he said, snatching up his mask. “Way to cockblock me!”

“What the fuck are you on about?” Chris demanded.
